Absolutely lovely little cottage which was perfect for me and my partner. Lovely little garden to sit in and enjoy a hot drink in the morning. The welcome pack was really thoughtful. It was so peaceful and just a short drive from local towns and amenities Kayleigh Reed from Stalham (14 June 2024)
The cottage was clean, tidy wellPresented and had what we required for our weeks stay including a welcome package. The dogs loved the treats. The dog bowls, bed and poop bags were a nice added thought. The garden was sufficient with an enclosed bit at the top for dogs to go off lead with supervision as it is not securely enclosed if you have an escape artist. The road outside was busy and noisy particularly evening and mornings. This made getting on and off the drive a bit challenging due to the speed of vehicles travelling both ways.We appreciate that there is nothing that can be done about the road and it is not the owners fault but it should be mentioned in the cottage description. Some people don’t mind being near a busy road but others may. Customer 2 (03 June 2024)
Well equipped and clean cottage in a nice location, easy to reach places like Southwold. The only minus point was the uncomfortable bed. Customer 3 (07 May 2024)
Lovely cottage, ideal for the two of us and our three dogs. Fully equipped and tastefully decorated, comfortable bed and lovely touch with the dog bits. Garden is split into two with the top part secure and safe for the dogs to have a run about. Will definitely return. Thank you Peter Howard from St Margarets At Cliffe (06 April 2024)
Absolutely loved Fox cottage. On arrival opening the door we noticed a bag with goodies for us in it thank you so much for those especially the bits for the dogs. So quaint and comfortable and a cottage with lots of character.Very nicely decorated and a great selection of books too.Everything you need is nearby which helps too . Have to say best shower I've ever had.Overall highly recommend the fox cottage. We'll definitely be coming back Matthew from Southend On Sea (25 March 2024)
Pleased to find a cottage that welcomes more than one dog. Customer 6 (15 March 2024)
We enjoyed our stay at Fox cottage with 2 dogs. It was warm and cosy , comfy bed . Enough room for a small cottage . A very quiet and relaxing stay. The back garden although open to the road has a gated entrance to a reasonable size plot ideal for dogs off lead , as long as not left unattended as gate is low but works perfectly. For our stay at new year Christmas decorations were put out which was nice . Basics are supplied, soap, washing up liquid, few cleaning items and loo roll. Bring milk , I find since Covid no extras except salt and pepper in these holiday lets. Was local to drive to nice attractions, a handy short walk from cottage shown with map. Sandra Millard from Essex (23 January 2024)
A very nice cottage which suited our needs as we were visiting relatives in nearby Halesworth. Richard from Southport (05 November 2023)
We had a lovely weekend away at Fox cottage, it’s a well maintained cozy space offering more than enough for a couple and our two dogs. Very high spec in some areas. We own a professional commercial cleaning company so may be being unduly harsh but we are persistent cottages.com travellers so I think our score of average is fair. Closer attention to shower screens, splash backs and cobwebs would benefit, but it was fine in general.A warning to dog owners that the garden is not secure enough to allow dogs off of a lead as access can be gained into the adjoining field for escapees- we just kept ours on a lead as the property is next to a road.Great access to local beaches and river walks- supermarkets only 5 minutes away and we even got a Chinese takeaway delivered which was nice. (Super fry).Overall a beautiful little cottage perfect for our weekend away. Suzanne Keel from Saffron Walden (24 October 2023)
Accommodation at fox cottage was great for 2 people very cosy and welcoming, lovley little welcome pack with dog treats milk etc. would benefit from a gate across the drive way to stop dogs being able to get on to the road ( a bit frustrating to have to put them on a lead every time they need a ***) . other than that we would happily stay again. lots of good dog walks in the surrounding area. There are no shops or pub in the village but Beccles is just up the road which has everything that you need. All in All a great little cottage. Sarah Eastburn from Rutland (24 October 2023)
We had a superb holiday. There were lots of thoughtful touches and the cottage looked even better in reality. Stephen McNally from Dorchester (24 October 2023)
Cottage is quite small- which on the other hand make it very cosy cheerful. There was welcome gift from owner and all kept exceptionally clean and fresh !. There only downside was that ''garden issues'' what was mentioned by few others in the reviews. We have looked for pet friendly holiday and everything inside property was very much pet friendly including bedding, bowls or even dog themed plates !, but the garden which is separate from the house it is not fully enclosed ( cattle style fence) unless you have some gigantic bread :) . We have three Jack Russel's so every toilet need needed to be fully supervised day and night on the lead as otherways they could run to the main road or escape from that ''enclosed'' garden to the horse paddock. Overall we could happily come back and recommend to anyone but without dogs until that garden is sorted, thank you Michael from Watford (24 October 2023)
A lovely cosy cottage that was well represented by the photographs. Well equipped. Very dog friendly Customer 13 (24 October 2023)
Catching up with family and friends. Beautiful cottage ideal for two and the dog. Well equipped and maintained. A lovely welcome package on arrival, unexpected and welcoming surprise. Plenty of garden for the dog. Thank you x Sophia from Moreton In Marsh (24 October 2023)
We spent a week at fox cottage and enjoyed it very much. The cottage is equipped with everything you could need. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It is decorated beautifully and to a very high standard. The only problem was that the garden isn't secure so we couldn't let our dogs out in the garden off lead. If the garden had of been enclosed I would have given 5 stars. Ron Miller from Bedfordshire (23 August 2023)
Lovely cottage. Very clean. Had everything you could need in the kitchen. Only downside is that the garden is not secure so we could not let the dogs out without being on the lead but apart from that would highly recommend. Had a very enjoyable stay. Dogs have enjoyed it too ud83dude01. Jane from Ware (11 July 2023)
Lovely cottage clean and comfortable Deb from Middlesbrough (26 June 2023)
Lovely cottage but we were very disappointed we were told that the garden was enclosed and we thought perfect for our 2 dogs. This was not the case and the dogs could get out. Karen from Leicester (14 May 2023)
Lovely cottage. Hosts left lovely welcome pack. Lots of thoughtful touches like doggy blankets and bowls, and shower gel and toilet rolls. Only downside was the garden not being totally enclosed - our dog had to stay on his lead in case he got under the fence into the horse paddock next door. Sarah from Bexleyheath (09 May 2023)
Is there a way to make the garden more dog secure? Be good to be able to just let the dogs out of the back door.... Glyn from Rotherham (26 April 2023)
A comfortable cottage, which has all the amenities you would want for a short break, except perhaps some info about operating washing machine and other appliances. Our only real criticism is that although everything is very dog friendly in the house, including doggy blankets for furniture, the garden is not secure. So your dog could run out into the road if left to it’s own devises. Owners very helpful if any problems encountered. Nick from Folkestone (27 March 2023)
A fabulous little cottage in a great part of the country. Plenty to explore and some stunning scenery. Who could want for more? Cheryl from Leicestershire (13 February 2023)
Beautiful, welcoming little cottage. Warm, cozy & perfect for dogs too. Thank you Stephen from Wales (22 January 2023)
