Meadows lodges are great and in a fantastic location. The previous lodges I’ve stayed in have been great and a lovely get away!
(07 July 2024)

Lovely quiet site just outside cartmel. Handy for Windermere and coniston. Just 30 mins away.
from Rotherham (03 July 2024)

Lodge was clean and some nice touches like shower gel and hand cream in the bathroom, milk in the fridge. Also sadly lacking in other lodges we’ve been to, hooks on the back of bedroom and bathroom doors. Bed was superb. Hot tub ready on arrival and a good size. Couple of issues we had were very quickly dealt with, nothing major. Sofa were very soft, felt like I was going to be sitting on the floor. Not good for my back. Can get a supermarket delivery to the site. A quiet site, just what is needed for relaxing.
from Stockton On Tees (03 July 2024)

Perfect quiet location near a lovely village and stunning lodge
from Bridgend (03 July 2024)

Brilliant and relaxing holiday
from Solihull (30 June 2024)

Beautiful lodge in a stunning location, spotlessly clean with good facilities, Hot tub very private at the rear of Lodge, work definitely recommend and we will return.
from Bolton (29 June 2024)

from St Annes On Sea (23 June 2024)

I am a returning guest as I love meadows end so much. Staff are really lovely. Lodges are great and surroundings are so peaceful. Beautiful place.
(20 June 2024)

Myself and my partner had a lovely stay in Masham Lodge. Beautiful surroundings and a short walk to the nearest town which has traditional pubs as well as local cafes and shops. The hosts were very helpful. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you for a lovely stay.
(19 June 2024)

We have been coming here since 2017 and stayed in various lodges on the site and have loved them all. Very comfortable an home from home. Lovely surroundings and Cartmel on your doorstep. Highly recommend.
from Cheshire (16 June 2024)

Comfortable lodge with good facilities. Hot-tub was ready for use and up to correct heat from when we arrived at 5pm. Bathrooms were good. especially shower room en suite. (Great for someone with mobility problems). We had repeated problems with the TV, it cut out when it rained due to it being on satellite. Everything we needed was there, washing up liquid, tea towels etc.
(09 June 2024)

Beautiful lodge, set in lovely secluded area, surrounded by trees. Lodge was well equipped in all areas. Two ‘double’ bedrooms was definitely an added bonus. As there was just myself (age 77) and my daughter the hot tub cover was a struggle. Would love to return in the near future.
(08 June 2024)

Perfect holiday - Cabin and site had absolutley everything we wanted and was very private with an amazing hot tub. Located in a brilliant part of the Lake district, with the best walks near by.Would 100% recommend !
(05 June 2024)

Lovely clean spacious lodge with everything you need. Beautiful tranquil location, yet close to many beautiful Lake District 'favourites'. Bubbling hot tub unde the stars and well maintained outside area, decking and seating. Comfy beds and good quality linen combined with the log burner made for a great sleep! Washing machine was an added bonus! Loved our stay.
(04 June 2024)

Private and very comfortable - all we needed for a break for a few days.
from Northamton (03 June 2024)

It was a great relaxing holiday, the lodge was great and the log burner was excellent.Topped off with the Jacuzzi every day, we came home from driving round the lakes it was great to relax in.
from Basildon (29 May 2024)

Lovely peaceful location, will come again
(29 May 2024)

Beautiful lodge in fabulous location, would love to return, my only gripe is late check in and early check out times
from Glasgow (29 May 2024)

Fantastic lodge with hot tub, lovely setting and very pleasant staff
(26 May 2024)

Great location on the edge of Cartmel village. Great for getting around the Lakes both by car and bikes. Spacious accommodation. Slightly odd layout with access to decking and hot tub through the main bedroom. Not a problem for us as just the 2 of us. Great value for money with the 30% off in Hoseasons Summer Sale!
from Camberley (26 May 2024)

Absolutely amazing stay, lots to get out and do, hot tub was magical, everything we needed and staff a text message away if ever needed, would definitely recommend
from Manchester (24 May 2024)

Stayed in carriedale Lodge,, the furniture was good and bedding clean.but the bedrooms and bathrooms needed a good clean ,a lot of black mold round shower ,and bath and ceilings in bedrooms.A lot of dust behind the beds. The decking could do with a good clean. If all that was sorted it would be a 5 star for location and helpful staff. Margaret. Co Durham.
from Co Durham (22 May 2024)

Such an amazing holiday, lodge was spotless and wasn’t too hard to find. It wasn’t far of a walk to Cartmel pubs for a few drinks or a bite to eat… Would 100% go again and we will be booking very soon!
(22 May 2024)

Family break for 4x nights (2x adults and 4 and 8 years old boys). Lodge was clean and in lovely peaceful surroundings. Little touches like welcome drinks, milk and a local pud in the fridge, along with basket of household bits were appreciated. Comfy beds and different thickness of pillows to choose from was again a nice touch. Hot tub was very welcome after a days walking! Would be glad to book this lodge again in the future and have already recommended to others :-)
from Bedfordshire (18 April 2024)

Excellent service and accommodation
from Southampton (17 April 2024)

Very nice lodge in good location, the grounds where little rough with branches everywhere by our lodge. But great time had friendly staff thank you
(16 April 2024)

Our third visit to Vendeen over the last two years. This time has been disappointing. Usually when you find a good adapted holiday facility you stick to it as it's so difficult to find when you are a wheelchair user, but unfortunately the standard of the lodge has slipped significantly. The rails and tiles in the wetroom are mouldy, there is a lot of water damage on the woodwork from that room into the bedroom. The windows in the master bedroom have a lot of black mould that needs to be dealt with, appliances are showing wear and tear, particularly the washing machine which is obviously unbalanced given the noise it makes. Kettle full of limescale. Mattresses on the twin beds need replacing, one in particular is so soft it's like an airbed.J Just details that make a difference to your holiday. The deck outside need jetwashing and treating as it is a safeguarding issue now - putting up a
(15 April 2024)

Beautiful clean lodges and site. Having a car is a must to get around. Not keen on the semi detached lodges as you can hear doors banging and voices . Overall though I'd go back
(14 April 2024)

Beautiful, quiet, tranquil location, well placed for Lake district and Lake windermere.Lodge is well equiped with everything you need. We stayed in Swaredale, as mentioned in previous reviews the veranda around the lodge isnt enclosed so dog unable to roam outside. Loved log fire made it very warm and cosy on wet, cold afternoons. Would defintely recommend for a peaceful stay in a beautiful setting close to pubs and shop in Cartmel village.
(14 April 2024)

Beautiful clean accommodation. Well equipped. Couldn't ask for anymore. Would highly recommend!
from Edinburgh (07 April 2024)

Lovely stay , quiet surroundings. Lodge had everything you needed . One shower didn't work properly but wasn't an issue for us did report it when we left. Would stay again
(07 April 2024)

Absolutely stunning lodge Excellent facilities. This was our second visit to this site and we’ve booked again for 2025. Great value for money. A wonderful place for a family holiday.
from Telford (01 April 2024)

Always a delight to stay at Meadowsend. If you crave peace and quiet, lovely calm surroundings, then this is the place for you. We had everything we needed in the lodge. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was very welcoming and the outdoor furniture has been much improved!Thank you to Helen at Meadowsend for the communication and welcome goodies. Until next time!
from Manchester (31 March 2024)

from Leeds (31 March 2024)

(30 March 2024)

Great holiday destination lovely lodge and amazing setting. Will be back again
from West Yorkshire (27 March 2024)

The lodge is in a beautiful setting and the hot tub was very private. The lodge was modern, spacious, comfortable and clean. We would definitely recommend and hope to visit again soon.
(27 March 2024)

Just one thing, it would really help if you could see a clock from the hot-tub so you don't have to get out!
(25 March 2024)

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night break in Masham lodge, great communication from the owners to ensure we had everything we needed. Amenities all good and fabulous to enjoy the hot tub on the decking. Easy to find Meadows Lodges and explore all areas of the Lake District. Enjoyed meals out in Allithwaite which is only 5 mins drive away. The area around the lodge is so peaceful and quiet. Perfect!!!
(24 March 2024)

Booked a lodge at this location last minute and didn't expect it to be great. How wrong could I have been. Firstly the communication was brilliant and then when we got to the lodge we were pleasantly surprised how clean it was. The hot tub was amazing and regularly cleaned. This was a much needed holiday and we were not disappointed.
(24 March 2024)

Lovely lodge which was spacious and clean with everything you needed in the kitchen. Tea, coffee, biscuits, milk and cartmel sticky toffee pudding were provided. Lots of towels and shampoo, bodywash, lotion and soap were available in the bathrooms. The location was great and easy to find. The site was quiet which we like.
(17 March 2024)

Lovely clean lodge, had everything we needed and the staff at Meadows End Lodges were so helpful, would highly recommend and would absolutely return!
(17 March 2024)

We have just returned from meadows end lodges. The pluses lodge was spacious, clean, beds comfy, hot tub and nice to have 2 bathroomsThe negative was very dark when going outside to hot tub you couldn’t see the steps down to it , and having to be out by 9.30 on day of departure the cleaners were waiting for us to leave they dropped the hoover off at. 9.20. You felt like they couldn’t wait for you to go.We all had a very enjoyable holiday
(17 March 2024)

We really enjoyed our stay in the lodge, the weather was not our side we did spend more time in the lodge than planned, but it was so comfortable it was not much of a chore.
from Burnley (17 March 2024)

Found the lodge easily enough. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We were unable to get the oven to work and had to use you tube to help us with that. The Hib dials were all off and it was alarming using them as the indication of on was misaligned. From previous places I had stayed I had expected cooking essentials/basics, tin foil, cling film, sal, pepper cooking oil etc. None of this was available. The lodge itself was really warm and cosy. It was disappointing that there was no logs or kindling available for the fire. it was stated in the welcome pack that one was available but we couldn’t locate it. There wasn’t a bin dedicated to recycling we were told that you could take it to the main bins. We had to leave it gathering on the side. We ended up checking out a day early as were quiet disappointed, no games or any other from of entertainment than the TV. We also thought it odd that we were asked to strip all beds and empty all bins. Felt with the cost involved it wasn’t an enjoyable end to have to tidy it.
(16 March 2024)

Absolutely fantastic, would highly recommend, and intend to book yearly. Friendly and helpful staff, an ideal getaway.
from Colne (03 March 2024)

Lovely quiet location. Lodges clean and facilities good. Would stay again and would recommend.
from Liverpool (28 February 2024)

We stayed in Romney Lodge for a long weekend. Had everything you needed and was very clean on arrival. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots of walks. It’s about a 30 minute drive from Bowness-on-Windermere. Everything is in short driving distance. Would recommend staying here and would like to stay again.
from Worcester (28 February 2024)

Lovely location 20 minute walk to village. Enjoyed the hot tub. Needs some upgrading to kitchen.
from Bolton (25 February 2024)
