One of the largest holiday cottages we feature, "Silverholme" is actually a manor house. Silverholme sleeps 18 people in 9 bedrooms, and can be found on the shore of Lake Windermere. You'll find Silverholme down a private drive, surrounded by well-tended gardens; an ideal place for a get together with friends and family. You've got plenty of things going on in the area too. As Silverholme is on the shores of Cumbria, and being only 5 miles from the town of Windermere, you can try some of the water sports on offer; or you can head off to explore the Lake District National Park. Coniston, Ambleside, Kendal and Ulverston are all within a short drive, so could can always head to one of these lovely towns and see what there is for you. Back at Silverholme, you'll find the pub about 4 miles from Silverholme; and the nearest shop is 1½ miles away.
There are 9 bedrooms at Silverholme - 5 doubles and 4 twins; so Silverholme sleeps 18 people. One of the double bedrooms is in a separate annexe to Silverholme, called "Coachman's Cottage" - which has a separate entrance to Silverholme, and sleeps 2 people. The large drawing room at Silverholme has an open fire; the kitchen has wall-to-wall sliding doors out to the patio. The library has a TV and also has an open fire. Heating is provided by biomass central heating; there are several TVs and a DVD player; a washing machine, tumble dryer and a couple of dish washers are also provided to keep those chores to a minimum. Wi-Fi is included at Silverholme too.
Outside you've got a large garden, which slopes down to Lake Windermere; and there is a patio and terrace to enjoy a cup of tea; you've got an abundance of parking at Silverholme too. For those with a pet as part of the family, you'll be pleased to hear that pets are allowed at Silverholme.
Should you fancy a swim during your stay at Silverholme, you can use the indoor swimming pool at Graythwaite Farm.
