Stayed here twice now in a type 2 wheelchair accessible caravan in a quiet part of the site , just how we like it but a pleasant walk to the site amenities when we fancied it , caravan and site very clean and friendly staff

Lovely spacious caravan, we arrived late and had to phone to get our key, Security came straight away with it, we needed clean bedding as my granddaughter spilt milk on it, nothing was too much trouble. Friendly staff, lovely setting, near to Edinburgh and Rosslyn Chapel, would definitely recommend and return.

Lovely site but loads of caravans very confusing when new to site difficult due to navigate poor signage. Great site just off A1 well maintained.Caravan good but no coat hooks no brush or Hoover or ironing board or iron. Lake difficult to access due to lodges.Complex can be quite a distance restaurant normal fryed pub food and beer 5 pound a pint.Excellent staff so helpful nice it has a proper shop on site not sure if there was a laundrette no clothes fairer to hang clothes or towels. Overall ok but need to think a little more about customer needs and add extras 4 plates etc so have to constantly wash dishes.

Sage3 Caravan was well appointed and clean. Facilities on site are great for the children particularly the play park and swimming pool. Muir bar is welcoming and staff throughout the site are friendly. Dunbar beach is close by and we enjoyed our visit to the area. We will definitely visit again.

The site is conveniently located off the A1, with Dunbar within a 10 min drive for all your daily needs.Site is clean and tidy and well run. Accommodation was clean and very well equipped. Had a couple of unforeseen issues that were resolved quickly. Ie lightbulb going and tv breaking that were fixed within the hour. Site facilities are good but entertainment limited when out of summer hols but this will depend on your requirements. Some accommodation quite a distance from site facilities and up a very steep hill so could be restrictive for some people but not for our party.All the staff from maintenance to bar staff are friendly and welcoming.We would definitely go back and plan to do so.

Absolutely superb from arrival until we left. Super friendly staff, spotlessly clean, very well equipped caravan (Lakeside 43), very peaceful and relaxing with lots of lovely towns and villages within eady reach. Dunbar is particularly nice, and well worth a visit.

We stopped at thurston manor last weekend family of 5 plus the dog it was a lovely stay.We had tickets for Taylor Swift it was only 10mins to Dunbar train station straight to Edinburgh.This park has everything you need pool facilities was great sauna, steam room jacuzzi plus gym.We experienced great entertainment bar areas were well stocked with wide variety of choice.Will definitely be coming back.

A rather distributed site with average facilities not particularly near to anywhere notable.Almost an hour away from Edinburgh, its a decent base if you're looking to go into the city for a long day but other than Dunbar which didn't seem to have many amenities there's not much else around. The site has a reception office and pub/restaurant along with a pool and gym that have seen better days at one side of the park then a mile or so further away are the caravan/lodges. Its a hilly walk from one to the other and rather secluded in parts. The caravan we had was brand new and impeccable with decent facilities but just lacked a hot tub. Not sure why these were missed off There were 50+ pitches without an inhabitant and another park area with older caravans, possibly privately owned. Overall impressed with the caravan but glad we weren't staying on the park for a week otherwise we'd have had little to do

Lovely break with family in pleasant surroundings and a bus service to Edinburgh & Dunbar available directly outside the park. Some great days out, seeing the attractions & shopping. Nice to relax back on the park and have the choice of a well stocked shop or restaurant.

Having never stayed in a Carvan before I was apprehensive, but I was really impressed. The standard of our caravan was excellent, spotless, kitchen facilities were great too. Carvan grounds were well maintained and the park was ideal. Half hour drive in to Edinburgh City was perfect too. Will absolutely be back

We weren't supplied with the correct bedding. No beds were made. The place was not hoovered & we found empty coke cans '& rubbish under the sofas.We were given £40 of vouchers to eat in the restaurant but it was mainly fast food & snacks.The pool was disappointing as unsuitable for small children. We ended up paying at Dunbar leisure centre to occupy the kids.

The park itself was well maintained facilities good, however the park location was not very good as a car was needed. The caravan was not very good, very small and dated. There was not very good outside space and seating was a picnic table and bench. I would have liked a hoover in the caravan but I understand that some people do take them away.

The caravan was well equipped and mostly clean. The seating was stained and rubbish under the cushions which had not been checked.A long handled broom would be helpful rather than a small brush.Some of the apparatus in the gym is broken and needs replaced or fixed.More ********* parking by the caravans enough for two cars as parking on the grass is not advisable especially in heavy rainfall.The children's entertainment programme was very good and well delivered.

Really enjoyed our two nights, caravan was lovely really appreciated the little welcome pack of tea coffee milk washing liquid etc. The only facility we used was the swimming pool which we found disappointing, the pool tiles were dirty as was the floor in the changing room also soaking wet, showers were out of order and didn't see any hairdryers. The bar looked lovely and the staff in reception were very nice. We would stay again if we were visiting Edinburgh.

Excellent lodge and very clean. The one we had was a long way from the club/shop etc (too far to walk) but with a car ok.The swimming pool is tiny but there is a good leisure centre pool in Dunbar. Good facilities on site and the staff were fabulous people. Overall a very nice site and we would use it again.

Everything has been great, This is the second time we’ve stayed at Thurston Manor in a year. We requested a certain area of the park this request was actioned and we were very pleased.If I had any concern, the caravan could have been a little bit cleaner! We were aware that we were going out of season so there was no entertainment on for our little girl. But she had a great time in the amusements, got lots of tickets but the shop to spend them in was NEVER OPEN. There was one member of staff behind the bar that was very rude when we asked for him to pour another pint as it was flat. The area was beautiful and there is nice walks and a nice park. In the caravan we found what appeared to be toe/finger nails? The cleaners need to do a better job. One of the doors in our caravans handle was falling off too and we couldn’t close the door to keep the heat in. It’s ashame cause it had alot of potential and the food in the restaurant was lovely!! So overall was brought down by the things stated.

The reception staff were very helpful on arrival. The site is well maintained and has a leisure centre with swimming pool, well stocked shop and a Clubhouse with entertainment, bar and restaurant. The caravan was spotless and was provided with kitchen and bathroom essentials. Good quality bedding and towels were also provided. The caravan was in a quiet area and the family slept very well on comfortable beds. All kitchenware essentials, including utensils and pans were provided. I did not require anything else when cooking meals in the caravan. There was a picnic bench at the side of the caravan, which we used to sit in the sun. We enjoyed our stay and will return to this site in the future.

Although it was a wet and grey week we fely totally relaxed. The caravan was warm and cosy and had all we needed to enjoy ourselves. The fact we can niw take dogs to clubhouse is great. Irs what we need everywhere as we have to bring iur dog with us. Foid was good to.

Checking in was easy, when we arrived at our caravan it was lovely apart from the door handles were hanging off. We went back to reception and they apologised then sent someone to sort it out. Our stay was lovely and peaceful, we used pool a few times which was lovely, you will need to book, there was a steam room and a hot tub in pool area which was a bonus. A special mention to NICOLA from the pool who accommodated my husband and I when we turned up so a big thank you. Take a trip into Dunbar and go to the community bakery, the cakes and bread are made daily and are absolutely delicious..well worth it. Overall, it had a very pleasant week

Really good staff. TV wasn't working so we phoned reception. In a very short time a young Polish guy came up and fixed it. Lovely guy. Staff in restaurant very accommodating when rearranging seating to get our dog in while we were eating.£10 food voucher was also appreciated ud83dudc4f. Because it was February we didn't get too much entertainment available but all in all it was a good holiday in a lovely caravan.

We got a bargain so only paid a couple of hundred for the weekend, the staff was lovely and friendly, big Asda was just 5 minutes away so really handy, the pool was lovely and warm, steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi too, they only downside was the showers in the changing rooms were out of order and a few of the locks on the cubicles were broken too. The only other note is the pool is on the small side, no issues at all for us as it was quiet but I imagine it would be a nightmare to book during the summer holidays

Lots of silly repairs that needed to be done, bathroom door couldn't be opened from inside, fixtures loose or hanging off, lots of cigarette butts all outside our van that must of been left by previous people, TV channels very basic, drinks in clubhouse ridiculous prices , way too expensive
