We stayed here for a week in May and at first the place seemed nice but on closer inspection it was looking extremely tired, the sofas were worn out to the point you could feel the base underneath through the cushions. There were limited utensils in the kitchen, no plug for the sink, no remote for the fire, the light on the cooker was broken, many gas burners didn’t work without a lighter, the bathroom floor had been repaired with glue instead of being replaced and the fridge door was broken so we were unable to store milk upright. The boiler couldn’t accommodate the requirements of a caravan and as a result you would either have scolding hot or freezing cold water, not ideal with young children. The smoke alarm went off many times when we weren’t cooking and the electrics tripped the whole place twice whilst cooking a family meal. As for the garden, this is not private in the slightest, it is open to people walking past and staring in, including the warden that thought it was acceptable to just pop in several times whilst we were in swimwear which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. We contacted the warden regarding the hot water and tripped electrics during our stay and afterwards I politely gave constructive feedback via email in the hope they would make some modifications / improvements for other guests. Instead of a nice reply, we were accused of letting our dogs defecate on the grass near the tent pitches, which is false. They said another guest complained about us and they had to speak with us several times, again a complete fabrication, the only time we spoke to the warden was when we initiated it.They have a rule where you’re not allowed to leave your dogs unattended in the caravan, something that is not stipulated at the time of booking. Had we been privy to this information beforehand, we would not have booked here as we had planned family activities that were not dog friendly that could not be refunded. They have also accused us of leaving our children (9 & 4) unattended in the hot tub. I wouldn’t let them in that garden without us, let alone in a hot tub when it isn’t secure. To make such accusations would imply that we were being spied on!This ‘caravan’ park is at best a glorified camp site with a few tired static caravans thrown in to make a quick buck. I would suggest the owners take the constructive criticism on board to avoid further complaints. The site isn’t fit for purpose to accommodate caravans and their response to say we shouldn’t be running multiple electrical items at once to avoid the whole caravan tripping is ridiculous. We were using the oven to cook a family meal; we had the kitchen lights on (as I didn’t fancy cooking in the dark) and the hot tub is permanently on. I’m unsure how I could have performed these tasks in a different way.They don’t allow you to dry anything on radiators, only a tiny towel rail in the bathroom and they only provide 5 pegs to hang things on the washing line. The owner has been to inspect the place and thinks it is ‘beautiful’, I think they need to elevate their standards.Their response, full of accusations, is nothing more than avoidance to pay compensation. Needless to stay, we won’t be staying here again.

Great location! St Ives and St Michael's Mount within 20 minutes drive. Holiday park itself very quiet and comfortable. Hot tub was a massive bonus. The holiday home was clean and well looked after. Lovely staff members!

Stream Valley is owned by two great hosts who are very proud of their camp, and it shows ,nothing was too much trouble,we stayed in one of 2 lodges but it s mainstream is tents and caravan , the camp is a great base to explore and penzance was a 20 minute walk ,thoroughly enjoyed it

Not dog friendly dog was not allowed on furniture signs everywhere reading do not let your pet foul the site there was a 9pm watershed on the hot tub we love Cornwall with a passion and holiday there three times a year if your easy going laid back and most of all a night owl don't book stream Valley camp site
