Lovely location. Not that clean, problem with flies. Fridge old and no freezer. No washing machine. 1/2 a toilet roll left for 2 week stay.Early noise from neighbour and crunchy gravel. Landscaping work outside beginning at 7am.

Smell of damp/septic tank. Low doorway without warning which caused head injury. Very steep stairs unsuitable for small children and elderly adults.A quiet peaceful location but the cottage did not meet expectations.

Garden in need of a tidy up. Cottage indoors needs a deep clean and pots and pans replacing.

There was no Wi-Fi and very little mobile reception which was a shock at first but actually a good thing in the end. Excellent location lovely walks. Couldn’t fault it.

Norfolk is a beautiful county, gently undulating countryside, quaint towns and villages, houses and castles, steam railways, beaches. Grey Ladies is ideally placed for touring by car.

Really enjoyed our break on lovely Grey Ladies cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and bed linen good quality. The garden need a little TLC but will be back !

I am fine with a list of rules for dog owner but please don’t head it with
WELCOME TO YOUR PET FRIENDLY ACCOMMODATION.
There is a warning about steep stairs but I am not sure why the beautiful wood hand rail ends before the most dangerous bend in the stairs.
Not ideal in the middle of night when dog is unsettled downstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. If one fell there is no phone signal. I was staying alone.
The house was clean, kitchen equipped , even had photos inside the cupboards to show where everything went.
Bathroom modern with a walk in shower.
TV worked. No Wi Fi but if you climbed steps to top of bank at end of garden you could get a usable mobile signal.
Unfortunately I was unable to try countryside walks from the cottage because the weather was too hot.

Great cottage in a quiet lane with a view of the surrounding countryside. We walked to the National Trust property Felbrigg, visited Sheringham Park and made several trips to the beach at Sheringham.

We hadn't appreciated there was no WiFi at the property coupled with poor mobile signal, this could have been made explicit. Otherwise it was exceptionally clean and well equipped and we enjoyed the proximity to an excellent pub and numerous walks in the beautiful countryside.

My wife & I had a lovely stay. The cottage has great character and we hope to stay again.
Sheringham is a 5 minute drive and Cromer is a little longer.
A great place if you simply want to get away from it all
