Enjoyed the complementary cakes. Mr Hall (July 2021)
There was plenty of space for two human and two standard Poodles for the week and was also fine when the oldies visited for a couple of days. Mr Garrett (July 2021)
Pembrokeshire is a very dog friendly place. Would highly recommend this cottages. Pauline and Eric were very helpful and friendly. Our Brock(the collie) is going home for a rest. We will be back in the future. Mrs Verity (June 2021)
It was perfect for us comfy and very well equipped, even our dogs were catered for with towels and bowls! We met the owners who were lovely people and they were very kind when we managed to break a jug. We loved the area, great coastal walks and beaches from the doorstop, we even swam in the sea without wetsuits! It’s a shame the village pub has closed, but there’s a great sports and social club by a cricket pitch, all very friendly! All in all we’ll be back and many thanks to Pauline and Eric. Mrs Painter (May 2021)
A lovely quiet spot to relax as well as a great base for exploring the Pembrokeshire coastline with our two dogs . Spotless clean on arrival, very warm and cosy. Good size kitchen and very well stocked, I easily cooked all our meals through the week. Fresh flowers and cake on our arrival which was most welcome. Good parking facilities. Mrs Wilson (May 2021)
Village very quiet. and place suitable for walkers not beach holiday. Cottage very cosy, very clean and everything provided and very comfortable. Nice touch of fresh flowers and welsh cakes on arrival. Mrs Stanford (May 2021)
South Wales is a beautiful place for a holiday with lots of great places to visit & fantastic beaches. Loads of great walks & st David’s city is a definite. Mr Pearce (September 2020)
Very comfortable bed, lovely little patio area. Ideal for being near to the Pembrokeshire coastal paths, which are fabulous for walking. Ivey (September 2020)
We enjoyed returning to it at the end of a day's exploring. The owner, Pauline left us a Bara Brith, Welsh cakes and flowers which were much appreciated. The village has no shops and the local pub is now closed and for sale. Other visitors should be warned that there are no other items of food in the cottage not even salt and pepper. Most cottages that we've stayed in carry a few essentials, (lack of them may be due to Covid). THe nearest place to do a grocery shop is Milford Haven about 6 miles away or Haverfordwest. I would definitely recommend this cottage to friends. Mrs Hunter (August 2020)
It had everything we need. Mrs Verity (September 2019)
It had everything we need. We liked so much that we have booked it again for next year. Mrs Verity (September 2019)
We have stayed in 20+ in Pembrokeshire and this Cottage must rank as one if not the best. Mr Battersby (August 2019)
Low ceilings and doors, just as a cottage should be! There was everything you needed in the cottage from a cheese grater to a cafeteire. There are masses of wonderful beaches and walks within a half hour drive, many that are nearer. I would certainly go back again. Mrs Burns (July 2019)
my partner is 6ft & kept bashing his head on the low doorways otherwise magic Miss Mcgimpsey (June 2019)
The local pub was right next to the cottage and served good food but only allowed our dog in the garden. The weather was quite hot when we were there and with no umbrellas or shade we only visited once, every other pub elsewhere welcomed dogs inside but were all a car journey away. Mrs Kelly (June 2019)
loved every single second of our stay. Mrs Cuin (June 2019)
We had the weather. The cottage was so lovely and relaxing, and had all the facilities we needed. Can you thank the owners for sharing their lovely home. Mrs Cooper (May 2019)
St Ishmaels is a lovely little village, with a nice pub in the centre and close to the coastal path. The cottage was as per the photos and has been recently decorated. It is warm and cosy and has everything you need - the owners contacted us to make sure we had everything we needed and were very generous with their welcome pack, providing logs for the fire etc... Mr Daniels (February 2019)
The oil fired central heating worked a treat and had the place warmed up in no time. WiFi was very good and reliable, the kitchen was well fitted out and equipped and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable with good quality bedding - all in all a cozy place to stay. The cottage is well located for local walks and plenty of places for the coastal path are easy to get to by car as are the towns of Pembroke, Milford Haven and Haverford West. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay and this went on to tick all the boxes for us. There is a local pub a short walk away and we visited four of the five nights we were there, staff and customers were friendly and a decent choice of beers were on tap as well - the only slight downside to it was that there was no food available, I think that may well be a seasonal thing as the leaflet/menu for the pub (in the cottage) looked good - but perhaps our stay in February was a little early for that - it wasn't a problem as we shopped accordingly. There is a washing machine and dryer available in the connected 'outhouse' which all looked fine although it wasn't a facility that we needed to use. Pauline the owner called to make sure everything was OK and to check we were happy with things and whether of not there was anything we needed. The fresh flowers on the dining room table, the packet of Welsh Cakes and the loaf of Bara Brith were a nice touch as well. It was all good and there wasn't anything we didn't like, if we were to be picky then I'd say the water pressure for the shower wasn't fantastic BUT to be clear it wasn't a problem and there was ample hot water for showering and bathing. Mr Burns (February 2019)

We were told that we were the last before a refurbish so that must tell you something sorry not very good Mr Shellard (October 2018)
I spent my time revisiting the area where I was born, spending some time with family members and generally chilling out. Evening meals at The Griffin, Dale and The Swan, Little Haven were excellent. Good pub food at The Grove Inn, St Ishmaels For anyone visiting Pembrokeshire for a first time, St David's is a must do! Mr James (July 2018)
The house is badly in need of professional decorating, inside and out. What the photos don't show is that this is the scruffiest looking house on the scruffiest looking street in the village. It was at least pretty clean although would benefit from a thorough spring clean. It's dark and smelt musty every time we walked in. It's not very welcoming to come back to after having been out walking all day. I would give it 3 out of 5, which means I wouldn't go back I'm afraid. A vase of flowers and a few Welsh cakes waiting for us on arrival don't make up for what feels like a neglected property. Needs more attention to detail. The location is ok but there is only one place in the village to get food and that's the village pub which serves very average food. If you want a decent meal then you have to drive elsewhere. Only a 20 minute walk from the stunning coastal cliffs though. Mr Wilson (June 2018)
One car had to be parked near the village green. Other then that it was excellent. Dr Holbrook (May 2018)
Easy access to coastal walking routes, St David’s and Tenby in easy reach. First visit to Pembrokeshire and will definitely be back! Mrs Stopford (November 2017)
Very nice welcome touch. Met owners several times during our stay and they were more than happy to help with anything is more logs for the gorgeous fire Mrs Emerson (October 2017)
