Good location in Cley. Very clean. Everything we needed. Easy parking. Would stay again. Mrs M (July 2022)
It was everything we wanted. We’ve stayed few times and it has always been perfect. Love the new decor and will be back. Mrs M (June 2022)
Excellent location, quiet but within walking distance of the deli, pub and bus stop, and it is about a mile walk to the beach. Clean, comfortable and warm. Lovely area for walks and we enjoyed a boat trip out to Blakeney to see the seals. We recommend the nearby visitor centre which has a cafe and panoramic view over the marshes and we had an excellent meal at the George & Dragon. The Taylors (April 2022)
I chose this cottage after contacting Emma at Hideaways. she suggested several properties that could possibly meet my requirements. We chose the old Joinery- mainly because of location (central Cley) but also we needed to accommodate our small Motorhome (23ft length) and an additional car, this it did without any problem and we could turn it on the drive. The neighbour (Maureen?) was delightfull and parked her car thoughtfuly.
It is a short walk back into Cley- Would recommed the cottage to anyone that really wants a lovely cottage in a very quiet location.
Well equipped,
Special Thankyou to Emma-she really knows her propery portfolio. The Lambourne Family (March 2022)
The property was delightful - very well appointed and extremely comfortable. Location was good with access to bus routes and shops. The Creaser Family (March 2022)
We had a lovely short break at the Old Joinery. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was in a perfect location, close to the centre of Cley and lots of places to visit. It was also very, very quiet there at night which helped make for a very relaxing break. The Milvertons (March 2022)
Our second stay here and it can’t be bettered. The property is friendly and welcoming, the setting is quiet and open. Lots of walks and fresh air. Thank you, we shall be back! Philip (February 2022)
Enjoyed a relaxing week staying at this peaceful location which had everything we needed. Can link up with coastal path easily. Chidwick Family (October 2021)
We were delighted with the accommodation and already knew we loved the area. Good to have an attractive well-kept garden to enjoy when we had some October sunshine. Spooner Family (October 2021)
Fantastic location. Great cottage with everything you could possibly need. Private parking, quiet location with plenty of space. Loved ”The Old Joinery”. Jeff (October 2020)
A very comfortable cottage conviently located on the North Norfolk coast. We have stayed four times now as we find the cottage very comfortable for our spring break. Frances Rogers (March 2020)
A well equipped bungalow in a quiet location in Cley. We have long sought the ideal house to rent for a weekend of birdwatching each November. This is it! John Dunford (November 2019)
Great for two people, four may struggle for wardrobe space. A very comfortable and warm house to stay in, great location, ideally sited for drives both ways along the north Norfolk coast. A bottle of wine and two glasses on the dining room table was a nice and very welcome touch - thanks ! We have been to Norfolk several times and this place rates very highly on our list. Chard family (November 2019)
A well provided cottage, comfortable and in a pleasant and tranquil area. Ideal base for exploring. Alan Marlow (July 2019)
A lovely cottage in a great location. Quiet location but close to the village centre amenities. Great place for bird watchers and walkers to stay. Sarah (August 2018)
We had a lovely week once again, great weather and birds in the garden. Whatever happens don’t cut down the tree in the middle of the lawn - two woodpeckers visited again plus squirrel eating all the bird seed we put out! Very peaceful and bottle of wine and cake very nice, thank you - sure we will be back. Carol and Peter Major (June 2018)
We have stayed 3 times now and cant find any better location peaceful and great for bird watching in the garden and walks to the marshes. Carol Major (June 2018)
Best Holiday. This was partly due to location, because the bird life was fantastic, and partly due to the well thought out facilities in this lovely cottage. We really enjoyed our holiday.
Judith Thorley (May 2018)
Very good property and excellent service from Norfolk Hideaways. Very good cottage and great location. This was our second stay at this cottage and we will go back again.
Frances Rogers (March 2018)
Another great week in a lovely place birds back again wrens wood peckers and the bats at night good walks from the cottage to Wiveton and Blakney and Cley cafe and marshes all in all ideal place will be back again. Carol Major (July 2017)
We found the cottage to be very comfortable with enough equipment. Cley is very quiet and because the weather was so good the garden was really appreciated. Enjoyed our stay for the week and used the Coast hopper lots of days. The local restaurant The Harnser does good food and the Picnic Fayre sells delicious fruit, vegetables, pies and bread. Henson Family (May 2017)
Me and my sister spent a fantastic weekend in this property. We wanted a relaxing break and we achieved this. Fantastic cottage! Fantastic area with lots to do (if you want) but also fantastic area just to relax. Anne-Marie (October 2016)
2nd visit to the Old Joinery. The property has an excellent location within Cley, The accommodation is clean and comfortable for 2 adults. A little tight for 4 adults, the second bedroom does not have enough storage. We will use this cottage again and is our first choice to a birding week or long weekend. Johnstone Family (October 2016)
Our third visit so obviously find the peaceful location, condition of the property and the way it meets my wife’s disabled needs excellent. Ease of access to Cley down the local lokes (footpaths) and to other villages and towns by car or local buses which stop in the village. Riley Family (June 2016)
Great location, secluded garden all equipment you need. Comfy beds home from home. Would go back again and would recommend it, good fish shop and fruit farm just up the road Major Family (June 2016)
A great hideaway! A very welcoming property with a nice garden area for sitting out or eating out when fine enough! Comfortable beds and a very practical kitchen.. Looking forward to returning there in the future Andrews Family (May 2016)
We had an excellent week in this very comfortable and well-equipped cottage. Having stayed in lots of cottages over the years, this was among the very best. We struggled a bit with the induction hob but that was probably because we are used to a gas hob at home! The kitchen has everything you could possibly wish for other than a cheese grater which, if there, we couldn’t find. The cottage is in a quiet location with easy parking and close to village amenities. We hope and expect to visit again. Sykes Family (April 2016)
We are regular visitors to North Norfolk and Cley as keen bird watchers. The Old Joinery is one of a number of properties we have rented in the area. Its location was good, the accommodation was also good but possibly a little tight if occupied by 4 adults. Overall it provided a warm, cosy base for a birdwatching trip on a very cold Norfolk week. We would certainly rent again and recommend it to others. Johnstone Family (April 2016)
”A perfectly located property in the heart of Cley, hidden away from the busy through road but just a couple of minutes walk from the pottery shop. The property is spacious and very well presented, with a well stocked kitchen and the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in at a holiday cottage! Highly recommended. King Family (March 2016)
