A lovely stay in the Lodge, owners were super helpful and on hand when we needed them. Hot tub was tremendous and really private. Perfect base of operations for those who wants to visit windemere and other locations in the southern lakes. Sean Costigan from Manchester (03 June 2024)
Absolutely lovely stay, couldn't ask for anything more for the price. Customer 2 (22 April 2024)
Great lodge to explore the South Lakes (and beyond if you want to drive further). Easy lock box check in with parking right outside the lodge. Hot tub fabulous after exploring and walking during the day. Not far to nearest supermarkets (10-15 min drive). Would be nice to add a few sachets of coffee/tea and milk for a cuppa after a long journey. Customer 3 (03 April 2024)
We have just spent 2 very relaxing days at the lodge. It was a beautifully presented property absolutely spotless and in a very private location. The owners are on hand if you need them although we didn’t. It is the perfect spot for quietness and privacy . We did take our own food which I recommend as the kitchen is fully equipped and there are no shops close by within walking distance. There is a beautiful beach approx 10min drive to go for a long walk to blow the cobwebs away. I would highly recommend for a relaxing time . Michael from Manchester (06 February 2024)
The lodge is very cosy, in a remote location and has a very nice view to wake up to. The owner couldn't have been more helpful. 20 mins away from Windermere. All in all, we had a great time and will be back again. Customer 5 (28 November 2023)
The Lodge was absolutely brilliant, it was cosy and clean, and fully equipped and the hot tub was great. Would recommend. Thank you. Charlie from Bovington (31 October 2023)
Lovely clean & comfortable accommodation, beautiful location and walks. Nice to relax in the hot tub. Customer 7 (31 October 2023)
Overall the location, setting, cleaniness, hot tub and bungalow itself were bob on, however we didn't sleep very well at all. The mattress was extremely hard (this may be personal preference), and the pillows were lumpty and uncomfortable. Also, it may be worth providing another set of towels for the hot tub, as we were only there 2 nights this wasn't a big deal for us, but if we were there longer it would have been welcomed. Customer 8 (20 October 2023)
We had 2 weeks at this lovely place it's an amazing little get away for peace and quit hosts were amazing nothing was to much trouble for them local pub is great also. Will definitely be returning next year. Finally found our peace haven for our relaxing break walks and looking round new villages towns ect. Everything you need is at the lodge. Thank you so much for our pleasant stay. You have made the lodge perfect in every way... Trusted Customer from Ulceby, North Lincolnshire (28 September 2023)
A fantastic little hideaway, far away from civilisation. Beautifully appointed with everything you could wish for. The private hot tub was very much enjoyed in the quiet surroundings. A nice touch would have been if the pre-booked cot was already pre-assembled and if the mattress actually fitted the cot. Trusted Customer from Switzerland (28 September 2023)
Such a lovely little stay in the lodge, location Is good so close to alot of areas. We visited during week and local pub wasn't open didn't affect our stay but just so people can check.
We were lucky to have sun shine and enjoy the hot tub, hot tub felt private with bamboo blocking gaps in fence and a little hedge round
Lodge it self was very spacious and clean provided every we needed.
Highly recommend would stay again.
Thank you to Steve and carys for a lovely stay Customer 11 (16 August 2023)
The accommodation was very nice well equipped good layout and we would struggle to find fault with the accommodation, however we could not recommend the lodge because almost every time we went out of the door front or back 2 or more small dogs would bark almost constantly not a problem when arriving or leaving but when we went into the rather small patio garden to enjoy a quiet evening it was rather irritating to have what would otherwise have been a pleasant quiet experience this was not how our time outside was spent. So unfortunately we could not recommend the property to other holiday makers. KEITH from Jersey (26 June 2023)
Very comfortable, well equipped cottage. Loved the hot tub. Christine from Durham (02 June 2023)
The lodge is lovely! Furnished beautifully and lots of little touches like a Bluetooth speaker, cafeteria, blanket. The hot tub was lovely too!
The only things I could suggest as improvements are a shelf in the shower to put shampoo etc, the tap on the kitchen needs tightening as the hose keeps falling off.
Otherwise it was a perfect stay and would consider returning!! Cristina from Devon (21 May 2023)
Very nice cottage and very friendly owners. Only 1 thing me and my wife thought that was needed, was possibly a small fold up 2 seater table to be able to sit at with breakfast or when cooking a nice romantic meal. Anthony from Rotherham (12 May 2023)
The geographical location was really good, only a couple of minutes drive from any shops/ pubs etc.
We weren’t disturbed while we were there but it didn’t feel very private in that while you were in the hot tub, you could see through the gaps in the fence into the owners garden who were out and about. Again, we weren't disturbed, but just something which we kept thinking about while there.
The lodge was comfortable and spacious - personally our favourite touch was the speaker provided. Olivia from Cheshire (25 April 2023)
Absolutely loved the location of the cottage, out in the countryside.. The jacuzzi was very welcoming and used every day… Would have liked a little more room, in the garden, to sit and relax in the sunshine, however this is not a game breaker.. The cottage is beautiful, comfortable and extremely enjoyable to stay at, and would most definitely stay there again… Keith from Liverpool (24 April 2023)
We had a lovely stay at The Lodge for New Year. We have travelled to the area several times as we have friends who live near by, we will definitely return again as the cottage was perfect. Great size for a couple, everything you need and fixtures and fittings were of a high standard. Ulverston is a great little town to visit and only 10-15 minutes away. We also visited Dalton and Barrow for shops/walks with our dog. Small enclosed garden area so was ideal for our dog as he is old and partially sighted so he felt secure being able to go out and do his business. Hot tub is fab, very clean and easy to use. Owner was helpful and friendly when I needed to contact him, but we didn't feel overlooked or watched by the owners being next door, they left us to our own devices and gave us privacy as if they werent there. Perfect getaway, would highly recommend Victoria from Stockport (07 January 2023)
