The cottage is quaint and a good size for 6 people and nicely furnished, although the settees are clearly well used and new base cushions would be beneficial. A few rugs might add to a feeling of cosiness. The kitchen is well equipped and fixtures and fittings suit the age of the property. There is a handy utility room with a w/machine its also great for shoes, boots and wet coats. Pleasant courtyard at the rear. We found the beds comfortable and having a modern bathroom was a bonus.We loved the location of the cottage and were easily able to park outside. Minutes from Main Street and close to 2 pubs. Enjoyed walking around Cockermouth and along the river side with our dog. Plenty of places to eat that are dog friendly too.

We really enjoyed our winter week at Sommersby Cottage. It is in such a great location for the amenities of Cockermouth, the north lakes and also the north Cumbria coast. The cottage was comfortable, clean and well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely accommodation and location, comfortable and well equipped. feedback - could do with some more kitchen utensils - spatula, bowls for mixing, salad etc, smaller tins for oven, and maybe a couple of rugs for lounge? - otherwise very good.

Excellent property, had everything we needed for our stay. House was comfortable with a beautiful log burner for warmth and a newly fitted bathroom. Small enclosed garden for full safety with our dog. Right in town, two pubs on the same street with more restaurants and bars in town.

We had a 4 night stay with our 2 dogs and loved it. Great Central location for meals out, very tastefully renovated throughout with period features intact and all the mod cons. They really have thought of everything you could possibly need and it's all provided.
Great welcome pack too, thankyou!
