A lovely, well equipped cottage in beautiful surroundings - a true get-away from city life. Local amenities only scored Customer 1 (04 July 2024)
Cuillin View is the perfect place if you want the ultimate ‘get away from it all’ location. We loved our stay in this welcoming, clean and well equipped cottage and will miss the amazing views across the bay. The cottage may be a little off the beaten track but the rewards are well worth it. We took our dog and were impressed with the safe, enclosed garden he had to run around in. A wonderful cottage in an amazing location. Catherine, the owner, really makes sure everything is catered for and was lovely to deal with. Justin and Claire from South Gloucestershire (23 June 2024)
The owner has thought of everything you’d need to enjoy a stay at this lovely cottage. The view is spectacular too! Sue from Bristol (17 June 2024)
Stunning views from the cottage. Well equipped. Our dog loved the freedom to run around outside. Finding places to eat out was difficult. Some of the access roads/tracks had many pot holes. Customer 4 (09 June 2024)
Amazing location, stunning views, beautiful cottage, strongly recommend Lynn Peach from Truro, Cornwall (29 April 2024)
Lovely peaceful place. The cottage had everything we could have possibly needed and more.Beautiful views and close to Dunvegan castle and Neist point but more of a drive elsewhere. Head off early in the morning to beat the crowds at the tourist hotspots and spot the wildlife waking up on the moors. We saw seals, deer and owls all along the 7 miles of single track roads from the cottage to the main road. Customer 6 (21 April 2024)
Isolated location but well worth it ud83dudc4c Customer 7 (31 March 2024)
We had a lovely stay at Cullin View. The property is warm and cozy, well stocked, and wonderfully located. Catherine is a superb and friendly host who was available to answer any questions and assure we had a great holiday. We will definitely consider staying at this property again on another visit! Customer 8 (03 March 2024)
We had a fantastic time on holiday. The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped. We didn't need anything. Catherine was a wonderful host and I can't praise this Hilgay enough. The location was beautiful and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. I would definitely go here again Pauline Moffat from Glasgow (23 January 2024)
Cullin View is a fab wee cottage in a remote area, 7 miles down single track roads in a small hamlet. The cottage was clean, well equipped and nice and warm, especially with the log fire on the go. The cottage has amazing views and changes constantly with the weather. I stumbled across 7 deer early one morn at the front of the house, don't know who was more surprised, them or me and the dog. Catherine the owner was attentive and answered any texts quickly with any small issues. My only one small niggle and it's purely down to personal preference was we found the bed to be a bit hard, we are used to softer bed. That said neither of us awoke with back pain so it was purely our preference. Dunvegan is just over 7 miles away with a well stocked shop and a lovely community cafe open part time. January is a time where most cafes, hotels, arts and craft places are closed so if your coming in the winter months, don't expect much to he open. Unusually Skye had heavy snow last week and we were snowed in for 3 days, we had plenty supplies so we were ok, but check the weather forecast before you go! Heather Riddle from Glenrothes (21 January 2024)
This is easily the best cottage we've stayed at. It was so well-equipped and had everything you can think of - from a dishwasher to binoculars. The location is tranquil with incredible views. Local shops aren't too far away considering the remoteness of the place. We went on many walks and enjoyed the beauty of Skye - Neist Point, and Dunvegan Castle are just a short drive away. Maria (13 November 2023)
Fantastic place. We have stayed here for many years. The owners are always making improvements and repairing the property. Never looks careworn, always in great shape. Very comfortably appointed, million dollar view, and lovely yard. Customer 12 (31 October 2023)
The best cottage we’ve ever been to! Just perfect. Rachel Edwards from Preston (10 October 2023)
A perfect getaway from it all spot. Customer 14 (11 September 2023)
We had a lovely relaxing week at the cottage. Spectacular view's. The owner was very helpful and informative. Would highly recommend Robert Davies from St Albans (28 August 2023)
Cuillin View was extremely comfortable and had every kind of helpful item you would ever need and extras too including binoculars. The views were spectacular yet relaxing - sitting outside was so peaceful and there was hardly a sound with even the adorable sheep bleating quietly. We had excellent communication from the lovely owner,of the cottage who even checked in via text during our stay. It would have been even better if we could've been able to walk down to the shore side however there wasn't a route down due to it all being fenced off. It's a fair drive to most areas although worth it for the experience of staying at this delightful cottage and memorable location. Dena from Peterborough (20 July 2023)
Wonderful well equipped cottage, amazing views so peaceful a place to remember always .road a challenge but worth every inch to reach such a secluded spot. Angela from Storrington (26 June 2023)
Great .roads could do with improvement eg potholes Ian from Callander (18 May 2023)
Lovely house with amazing views. Well stocked kitchen- great log burner. A perfect week Beth from Northumberland (08 May 2023)
This a beautiful cottage and we absolutely loved our stay and we will definitely be going back . Lynne from Arbroath (01 May 2023)
Lovely and very well equipped cottage. Beautiful views and great for a chilled out break away from everything. Downsides are that everything is a drive away -nearest shop is 3 miles and that the roads are abysmal - full of potholes, even on the main roads. Dina from Penrith (01 May 2023)
We have just had the most wonderful chilled out holiday at Cuillin View. We went in January, so didn't expect wonderful weather, but had snow, rain and even some sunshine! The cottage was so comfortable and well equipped and Catherine, the owner, was really helpful. The road to it was a bit tricky as we arrived in the snow and the lower score for amenities reflects the fact that the cottage is a drive away from anything you might need, although for us that was exactly what we anted so didn't trouble us at all. The peace and the views more than made up for the drive to Dunvegan. Thank you for a great break away in the most wonderful, restful place. Deborah from Stokeontrent (01 February 2023)
