It was very well equipped and met all our expectations. Mrs Madden (December 2018)
The owners responded very quickly to any queries and made us feel very welcome. Before we went they supplied us with very detailed information on routes, arrival, keys, log burner and hot tub. That all made the holiday very easy. There was so much to do in the area that a week wasn't long enough. We hope to return to this cottage as it was so comfortable and had so much space inside and out. Mrs Thompson (October 2018)
The owners of it are amazing answered loads of questions I asked and helped recommend a lovely restaurant aswell. I would defiantly stay here again! Miss Cater (September 2018)
The hot tub was fantastic once warmed but did take several hours and alot of wood to get hot. The local pub was very nice and friendly and the food was very nice. We did one night have a taxi to Bangor which was a lively night and fun, the walk to the cottage from the local pub was an interesting walk. Overall the stay was a very positive break with lots of memories made and we would love to stop again. I strongly recommend this cottage if you plan on having a quiet stay and would not mind driving to places. Mr Cotton (September 2018)
Apparently we didn't leave the cottage in a pristine condition and had £50 deducted from the good housekeeping deposit. When we arrived the general waste and recycling bins had not been emptied and were overflowing bags and boxes had just been left around. We had nowhere to put our rubbish bags. The bins were eventually emptied the day before our departure.Taking into account the amount we paid for a weeks rental we were very disappointed. We will not be recommending this property. Mr Lloyd (August 2018)
The house, the space for the kids, the location coupled with the beautiful weather and views made our weekend away a memorable one. Oh did I mention the hot tub which was also perfect and was positioned to catch the sunset?! Thank you and we will recommend this place to our friends! Mr Murphy (June 2018)
Presented beautifuly with so many homely touches. Great position with fantastic outlook. We loved it the owners go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Mrs Hatton (February 2018)
Lovely house, nice walks around the Bay and an all round great place to go. Thanks to Mrs France & family. Mr Pownall (January 2018)
Lovely cottage, really spacious I don’t think the online photos do it justice! Miss Davies (November 2017)
5 min walk to the beautiful beach was ideal. The only frustration was the hot tub which just isn’t realistic time wise to spend filling and heating so we just gave up. I think more upfront referencing would be fair as the detail follows. Miss Davies (November 2017)
Excellent communication with the property owner. Problem on first night was resolved quickly. Mr Salisbury (March 2017)
We returned to Ty'r Ardd for a second visit. We love this property because it is homely. You can roast a dinner or bake a cake, spa in the hot tub or cosy up at the log burner. I have teenagers who love the comfy sofas. The surrounding area is great for walks and the local pub the Panton is good value with a great service. The ship Inn is good in location poor in service, child friendliness and value. elaine p (February 2017)
The cottage is within minutes from the beach and it is understandable why this is such a popular cottage. The owners were very accommodating. It was a much needed break for us all and a very rare opportunity for us all to holiday together. A wonderful time was had by all and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Mr Embleton from Widnes (March 2016)
Absolutely lovely, a well appointed comfy and relaxing place to stay. The garden was a joy to be in, especially down at the bottom, there was something so tranquil about it. The whole experience was one of peace and tranquillity. There was no noise at night, and for my husband (an amateur astronomer) a wonderful night sky to view with no light pollution. Mrs Hodgkinson from Stockport (September 2015)
Fabulous cottage and garden, great for our almost 3 year old to explore! The most well equipped rental home we have ever stayed in, a true home from home. It was excellently located for all of Anglesey's attractions. We had a great week and hope to return next year. Mrs Cross from Clitheroe (June 2015)
We were a party of 6 staying for a week. This cottage provided us with the chance to have a much needed break as a family and we were not disappointed. The cottage is clean and kept in immaculate condition. The kitchen is excellently equipped, it contained everything we needed and the owners added small extras in such as biscuits and drinks on arrival and also some dishwasher tablets which we had not thought to bring. The property is spacious and there are various books, dvds and games provided which we all enjoyed playing. The owners have also provided plenty of information on local sights to see/experience. The garden is perfect for children to explore and there are buckets and spades and fishing nets which the were able to use. All these small extras really make this feel like a home. The hot tub was a great source of excitement for the children. It does take time to heat up but it is worth the wait, we had great fun splashing about. We were a bit worried about the heating process but the owners directed us to a YouTube video which clearly shows you how to safely heat the hot tub. The beach at Red Wharf Bay is a short walk away and the cottage is located in beautiful surroundings, very peaceful and relaxing. All the locals are friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. We did waste a bit too much time grocery shopping. A hassle free tip from the owner is to book a Tesco shop and have it delivered to the cottage at your convenience. All in all we had a wonderful holiday in what I would say feels very much like a home rather than a rented cottage. Would not hesitate to recommend this to others. Geeta M (June 2015)
The cottage was located in a lovely area. The bay was not a far walk and it had great views. We are a family of six and the house occupied us nicely. Mrs Ross from Southampton (March 2015)
We were a group of six, two couples and our young adult children who stayed at this lovely cottage over Christmas. We were touched that the owners had taken the trouble to have a Christmas tree and decorations put up for us. The cottage was warm and clean and I loved the powerful hot showers. One of the main reasons for booking here was that they had a hot tub. We thought the kids especially , would enjoy spending time in it. That turned out to be a real disappointment . Being a wood fired hot tub, it takes more than two days to heat and a LOT of wood. We eventually managed to get it up to lukewarm and sat in it for about 15 mins before it started to cool rapidly again. The hot tub probably works well in warmer weather but in the winter, I don't think they should even suggest that the tub be used. The time and energy that went into getting the tub heated was just not worth the effort and now, three months after our stay, that is still a niggling memory. I emailed the owners about it and they replied that they would be making some improvements. The cottage is walking distance from the coastal path. We were able to fit in some fabulous walks. The other thing I found really odd was that there was no tea pot! Apparently, guests frequently break the tea pots so they stopped stocking them. Making six individual cups of tea was a pain. We bought a metal tea pot and left it there. For the price of the rental, I would think frequent replacement of something like a tea pot shouldn't be a big deal. In short, it is a lovely cottage and I would recommend it- but know that wood fired hot tubs and winter don't match up. Their prices ought to reflect that too. Another thing that I found rather Roshan411 (March 2015)
The cottage was very comfortable and I was touched that the owners had put up a Christmas tree and decorations. The heating was great, when we came in from the cold outside! Showers worked brilliantly. Lounge was a comfortable space for chilling out. Wifi, 10/10, especially as mobile signal is non-existent in some parts of the property. Close access to a beautiful coastal path. Mrs Abraham from Wirral (December 2014)
Ty'r Ardd is in a good position and it is easy to walk down to the beach and access to the coastal path. Mrs Fergusson from Holywell (December 2014)
We found the cottage and its surroundings to be very homely, comfy and relaxing. We did not want to leave. Mrs Gould from Tamworth (November 2014)
A lovely, homely and well equipped cottage in a good location only 5 minutes from the beach. Ms Clark from Chorley (October 2014)
Weather was really good. Very close to Beach which was almost private Mrs Sullman from Huddersfield (September 2014)
Close to the beach and in walking distance of a pub serving good food. Had a very good garden for young children to play in. Mrs Fenn from Nottingham (August 2014)
We spent a lovely weekend at this delightful cottage which is situated a short walk away from the beach. The cottage is spacious and immaculately presented with excellent attention to detail. There is a big garden, perfect for activities or just sitting and relaxing. We enjoyed a walk around the bay which takes you to a few charming restaurants and pub. We ate at Dylans restaurant at Menai Bridge on Saturday night, excellent for seafood. However the cottage is great for self catering as the kitchen is huge. There is room for cars with off road parking, and the cottage is tucked away from the road, so very quiet. Overall we had a very relaxing stay and hope to return. highpeakhighjinx (November 2013)
The cottage was very well equipped, and very spacious. Wonderfully close to an amazing beach. The position was fantastic for exploring all of Anglesey and venturing onto the mainland as well. A really enjoyable time, thank you. Mrs Eyres from Helston (July 2013)
The position of the property was ideal for my family get together, it was very well fitted out and the layout was perfect for our needs. The garden was huge and there is plenty of garden furniture for us all to eat outside, which we did as the weather was also very very good!! Mr Charlton from Warrington (May 2013)
