The farm shop is very good with helpful friendly staff. Mr Maher (August 2020)
It was great to do something that felt normal in such unusual times. The owners were really friendly and helpful. We had our toddler with us who made friends with the resident dog! The Barn is a good base to explore the area. Ms Cross (July 2020)
We really enjoyed our stay, owners very helpful. Cottage ideal for getting around. Super Farm Shop in which to stock up!! Our lovely surprise was Maisie, a black Flat Coat retriever, she really made our stay all we could wish for. Mrs Eskdale (January 2020)
We are agile for our ages but others may have problems. The heating seemed to struggle in this weather so the log burner would be essential if staying inside for long periods. DVD player did not work but hopefully owner will sort out problem as we notified them of the fact. Ms Lee (December 2019)
The week went to fast, we loved staying in the Barn, the Nook next door also looks amazing . Thanks to Rob and Fiona a wonderful experience. Mrs Baron (September 2019)
Lots of places to visit nearby, friendly locals and good places to eat. Cottage was very spacious with a comfortable bed. Would definitely return. Mrs Skelding (June 2019)
Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Mr Horn (May 2019)
We had a lovely stay. There wasn't anything we wanted for. It was very clean, warm and welcoming and would recommend to anyone. A point to make is that it is a working farm that starts early doors and you get regular visits from a 4 legged friend at the front door so please don't go expecting peace and quiet. Mr Ettery (December 2018)
Would definitely recommend :-) Thank you! Ms Millard (November 2018)
The barn is a superb apartment in a good central position, handy for such places as IronbridgeThe farm shop has some lovely really tasty produce- no wonder it's on Rick Steins food heroes list! Mr Pollard (October 2018)
It was very clean and comfortable and lived up to expectations. An ideal spot for discovering Shropshire and beyond. Very friendly owners and even friendlier dog Masie. We will definitely be going back. Mr Collett (September 2018)
I have stayed at The Barn previously in 2012 so it was great to go back and stay. The Barn is very well equipt with everything you could possibly need. A definite home from home. Unfortunately did not see Fiona this time but the staff at the Farm Shop are extremely helpful if you need anything. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again when I am next in the UK. Liz E (August 2018)
The directions were clear and the location was peaceful and tucked away. The Barn is up a set of stairs and opens up into an open plan living room and kitchen, a home away from home. Comfy sofas, tv and DVD player and a small woodburner are in the living room and the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed, including strong wifi. The double bedroom had a beautiful view overlooking the fields and plenty of storage, The bathroom is small but works well with an over the bath shower. The whole property is filled with natural daylight. The Barn is about a 10-15 min drive from Whitchurch and we found the location easy to use as a base to visit nearby villages and larger towns. Overall we had a wonderful 5 days, we felt like we lived there rather than on holiday and would recommend The Barn to anyone wanting a low maintenance self catering holiday. Mrs Sofianou (April 2018)
A very warm welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed here because we were attending the fantastic one day butchery course run by Rob, Fiona and the adorable Masie (the super friend black retriever) Excellent Farm Shop on site and lots to see and do in this lovely part of England. All highly recommended. Mr Bloxhan (April 2018)
The Barn was another property that lived up to our expectations and enabled us to have a relaxing time. Miss Robinson (March 2018)
The accommodation was stunning and had everything you needed. Had a fantastic weekend. Miss Tompkins (February 2018)
The Barn is ideally located to access so many good walks and visitor attractions. We only stayed for one week but could have easily stayed longer. Was not short of anything on our stay. Even the resident dog "maisy" was super friendly Would definitely recommend. Mrs Hamer (August 2017)

We had a great time the apartment was lovely and Fiona and Rob were very welcoming and hospitable Bernard Whelan Mr Whelan (May 2017)
We had an amazing weekend at the barn over the new year weekend. The barn has everything you could ever need, the barn is well presented and the log burner keeps the rooms toasty. The owners are very nice and are happy to give advice on the local area and let you walk the dog in their fields. The farm shop on site has some exceptional pork meats and local products on sale and the staff there were also very helpful and recommended some of the specialities / personnal favourites (you get a discount at the shop when you stay at the barn). We will definitely return for another relaxing weekend with the dog. 1986TAB (January 2017)
The cottage was perfect, it has everything you could possibly need. The owners were friendly and helpful. The farm shop on site had amazing food and there's plenty of things to do in the area. We're looking forward to returning at some point! Miss Wrigglesworth from Elland (December 2016)
Cosy and comfy stay, very friendly owners, well located for touring round Shropshire. Would definitely recommend. Miss Rogers from Stafford (November 2016)
Perfect holiday home, very well equipped, good location. Miss Woodcock from Stockport (October 2016)
Lovely barn conversion, very comfortable with almost everything you could wish for. The only thing that was missing was a washer/dryer but that certainly didn't bother us at all. We'll definitely be booking The Barn again. Mrs Wilson from Eloy (September 2016)
We had a great time. Miss Thompson from Seaford (September 2016)
A very comfortable cottage equipped with everything you could need and in a lovely setting surrounded by fields and trees. The owners were friendly and helpful. We didn't have our dog with us as he's Just a puppy but when he's learned not to chew everything in sight we would love to return to the Barn. Mrs Downer from Braintree (August 2016)
The views from the property were lovely, and we loved being right next to the farm shop. Lots of places to walk. Miss Howes from Norwich (July 2016)
In a very quiet location and the owners made us very welcome. The Barn is well situated, allowing easy access to Wales and other surrounding counties. This was an excellent place to stay, we would definitely recommend to others. Mr Winkley from Stockton-On-Tees (July 2016)
Super friendly owners, a lovely barn and area. I can't recommend enough and will be going back again at some time. 10 out of 10. Mr Larkins from Horley (June 2016)
It was an excellent week and we packed a lot in. We really liked the accommodation and the owners were extremely nice and helpful. I would love to go back there and I will!! Mr Parr from Braintree (April 2016)
We particularly liked how well furnished, warm and cosy The Barn was, it's really home from home when you can have such a lovely place to sit and relax. The bed was extremely comfy, and the cottage was warm, particularly important in February, and there was plenty of hot water. Mrs Smith from Manchester (February 2016)
The Barn was a wonderful property and ideal for exploring the wider Shropshire countryside. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and were very helpful in the family history research we were doing. Having their farm shop and the bakery on site made for delicious fresh local produce. An ideal location for a short break! Mr Phillips from Warrington (February 2016)
A lovely setting, and the décor/design of the property was extremely good. The hosts were extremely friendly and the food from the farm shop was amazing. Mr Schmid from Holmer Green (September 2015)
The apartment is located on a farm in beautiful countryside. The owners live on site and are friendly and helpful. Also there is a farm shop on site selling artisan breads and pork products. There was lots to do in the area, whether visiting a national trust property or long walks along the waterways. All in all an excellent base to explore the area. Mrs Parker from Matlock (July 2015)
It was very peaceful and quiet, the farm shop and bakery on site were great. The property was not far from places to visit and the supermarket was only 6 miles away. Will be returning here soon. This property is also dog friendly which is great. A big thank you to the owners. Mrs Jones from Caernarfon (May 2015)
We really enjoyed our short break. The Barn was cosy and well equipped and the owners are a very welcoming and friendly couple. The use of their fields to exercise or dog was an added bonus. We wouldn't think twice about booking again and therefore highly recommend The Barn. Mr Harmston from Doncaster (February 2015)
Very relaxing and quiet. The TV, black and white movies & a wood burner were perfect! We all enjoyed the break, including the dog! Mr Sherriff from Rhyl (January 2015)
The Barn is a lovely place to stay. Plenty of room to spread out, parking by the bottom of the steps. Lovely views through the lounge windows. The owners were very friendly without being intrusive, and the staff in the shop were lovely too. Spacious bedroom plenty of storage for clothing. Wifi a bonus feature. HazelDorothy (December 2014)
The Barn was an excellent, well appointed cottage and a perfect base to explore the beautiful countryside around, which even at this time of year had so much to offer. Mr Pallot from Gillingham (November 2014)
Fabulous barn in a beautiful area. The most comfy bed ever. Mrs Bennett from Birmingham (October 2014)
An especially comfortable barn conversion with ample space for two… Maisie the dog is extremely friendly, just like her owners. We had endless pleasure watching the sheep in the evenings. A haven of peace and tranquillity in the North Shropshire countryside. It felt like home. Ms Langley- Brown from Falmouth (August 2014)
The Barn was in beautiful countryside with magnificent views. The pictures on the website perfectly matched the reality. We enjoyed the comfortable seating as we watched the sheep from the window. It was easy to access Shrewsbury, (Park and Ride) and other places of interest from the road outside the gate. The rooms were lovely and light with natural lighting and there was more than enough storage space for our clothes etc. The bed was one of the most comfortable, apart from ours, we have ever slept on. We liked the old cradle which when we arrived had the lovely thick towels in it. Mrs Downs from Weymouth (July 2014)
As this was a little break over the Christmas week we wanted it to be relaxing, quiet and peaceful. This is exactly what we received! Being a military family means a lot of upheaval and time apart so to spend a delicious week in this little barn surrounded by the countryside is exactly what we wanted. We cannot praise it high enough. Mrs Circuit from Darlington (December 2013)
Lovely location and people, they could not do enough for us. We will stay there again, and would be happy to recommend it to friends. It was lovely and warm, and the seating area is very cosy. Mrs Ireland from Newmarket (October 2013)
Beautiful surroundings, tranquil setting, loads of space! Wish we would have known about the farm shop in advance! Miss Turnbull from Aylesford (October 2013)
Really lovely place to stay to escape from it all, nice and quiet, great for dog owners, was able to walk round owners field with our dog. The barn had everything we needed for our stay, the owners were away so we didn't meet them. The farm shop was great too. Jillybaby37 (August 2013)

A spacious and well appointed house in peaceful location, and with the bonus of the farm shop on site for wonderful fresh baked bread and meat. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Mr Mackey from Edinburgh (June 2013)
The cottage was nice and spacious and was in a nice farm area with fields around. Mrs Wickett from Smethwick (April 2013)
Very quiet and comfortable. The cottage was brilliantly appointed and was really spacious and airy. The farm shop was great. Mr Boak from Rochester (March 2013)
The cottage was good, not much places to go for a walk, you have to drive the car if you need to go even to the nearest pub, which was great at all. The service was very good and friendly. Nice view from the bedroom window, but a bit unusual that the cottage is on the first floor, so there is no private garden really. Very good farm shop just right next to the cottage. Nice lake isnt far from the cottage but only for a short walk around. Overall it was a good romantic stay. A FlipKey verified reviewer (December 2012)
We absolutely loved the property. The owners are very friendly as well as the animals. Would recommend to go again, also the pork we brought home was lovely! Ms Ashworth from Littlehampton (November 2012)

We enjoyed the warm and friendly welcome from the owners, and the convenience of the fantastic farm shop on site. Being central to so many lovely attractions and walks was lovely, but mostly we enjoyed the peace and tranquility whilst there, despite the road being within yards of the property. We absolutely loved it. Mr Counsell from Swansea (September 2011)
