The cottage is in a quiet rural location with lovely views. It has all home comforts including satellite TV and high speed wi-fi internet. It is a great base to explore the Forest of Bowland, the South Lakes and the Yorkshire dales. Mr Jones (June 2021)
Best way to describe Spens Farm Cottage BRILLIANT as soon as me and my partner walked in we both said we could live here had everything clean ,comfortable a really relaxing cottage so homely and Sally and Kevin the owners really made you welcome lovely people will definitely be going back Mr Massam (May 2021)
The cottage was perfect for two people and had everything we needed. The coast and Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach and there was plenty to do and see in this lovely area. Mrs Ohlendorf (May 2021)
The owners were very kind & helpful people & everything in the cottage was absolutely tip top. The surrounding area provided us with an excellent week's walking ( the owners supply of local extracts of O S maps was very useful) & the views were spectacular in so many places. We could not have asked for more. However, your performance in the process was appalling. Sending us 23 emails over a period of a few weeks suggested that double glazing sales might feature in your future plans. Two early emails about the cottage location & details of equipment & facilities were useful & were duly printed off. This last one for feedback might well help you in future planning & policy. The ones in between, had they been in paper form, would have made good firelighters. Mr Arundel (May 2021)
We did not use the car at all - always a sign of a good holiday - the surrounding countryside provides lots of walks on quiet lanes and farmland. The owners were exceptionally helpful and have put a lot of attention to detail into this perfect cottage. Mrs Crumbleholme (April 2021)
The cottage itself was beautiful and very comfortable. The owners made themselves known to us and were helpful in their local recommendations. We took full advantage of the glorious weather we had and walked every day to places of interest. The cottage is situated in a beautiful valley and we were pleased to have found it. We would certainly recommend it to our friends. Mrs Hydes (August 2020)
We loved how secluded it was & the hosts were very welcoming. Customer 7
Easy access to The Dales, Lakes, Forest of Bowland and Lancashire/Cumbrian coast, so lots of options for outdoor pursuits within great scenery and close to historic places. Close enough to well stocked village shops and pubs serving food.Very comfortable cottage, spotless and cosy. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Customer 8
Fantastic surroundings if somewhat hilly for walking, Customer 9
What a lovely place to stay. Comfortable furniture and beds, and everything that we needed, plus some extra goodies, and Sal and Kev were on hand to sort out any queries. Mobile phone coverage was a little bit erratic, but Wi-Fi Calling worked brilliantly with the High Speed Broadband. Quiet and peaceful and yet only a short drive to local shops and for eating out, also good road connection for exploring the area. Kendal, Morecambe, Lancaster, and Skipton are all within easy reach. Another excellent property from Sykes Cottages. Customer 10
