Hi just back from 4 nights in this amazing little cottage contains everything you could ask for although weather was not the best we managed to get out and around the island every day leaving a little time left to make use of the hot tub Mr Butcher (March 2019)
The noise from the adjoining property was disturbing i.e. Creaking floorboards water running noises and the parking facilities were disappointing as we couldn't park in front of the property we were hiring. The welcome pack was generous and appreciated. Mrs Prior (October 2018)
Lovely welcome and we appreciated the welcome pack, thank you. Mrs Smith (September 2018)
The Apartment had everything you could wish for and a great base for Driving around Anglesey. Hot tub was brilliant and welcome pack was fantastic. Owners David and Lee Couldnt do enough very recommend Mr Harris (August 2018)
The basket of goodies , fresh milk and butter was such a nice welcome . The hot tub was gorgeous after a long day walking Mrs Johnson (July 2018)
Perfect for location. David was very helpful and welcoming. Loved the hot tub it was spotless and well kept. Only downfall was the locals who didn't want us there but it didn't spoil it for us. The beach and surroundings are really beautiful. And the coastal walks were amazing. We would highly recommend this lovely smithy cottage. Mrs Annis (June 2018)
What an amazing clean and well presented place we had the most relaxing holiday ever, the hot tub was a little hot but the guys who let the place was there in an instant and what great people they are, we cannot wait to return guys thank you for making our stay so memorable. Dave S (June 2018)
AGAINST : HEAR PEOPLE NEXT DOOR : SMELL IN BATHROOM : BAD DESIGN ON FRONT GATES, EASILY LOCKED OUT. OVER PRICED AND DESCRIPTION EXAGGERATED. Mr Nicholson (June 2018)
No welcome pack, like we had read in other reviews either. Hot tub was fab, but this is in the front garden and is not very private. Unfortunately Smithy cottage is an extension on to another cottage which is rented out and the wall is paper thin, every morning we were woken up at 6.30am by the people staying there visiting the bathroom, you can hear everything - taps turning, chain flushing and everything else that happens in the bathroom! Every door that is shut you can hear and the floorboards above also very noisy. For this reason we actually left a day early, so take note that you are attached to another rented property. Cemaes is a quiet village, but lovely if you just want to escape. Mrs Blacknall (May 2018)
Home from home, and very welcoming. Perfect walking distance of the beach and pubs. Our dog absolutely loved it, plenty of dog friendly pubs within walking distance or a short drive away. Great location for exploring angelsea will definitely be returning. Just what we needed for a relaxing week away ! Miss Blackley (April 2018)
Had a wonderful weekend in this lovely little cottage. It was clean and cosy and hosts were very helpful. Powerful shower and a hot tub that was worth braving the mini beast from the east for. Pet friendly with secure garden was a big plus for it too. Stumbling distance to shops, pub and beach. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet escape into bliss. Gill B (March 2018)
Cottage was ok. Cleanliness: Dirty pair of old trainers found in wardrobe. Dirty sponge by the sink and long dark hair found on floor, not ours! Uncomfortable settee in lounge. Blinds broken didn't close properly. Mrs Ousey (February 2018)
Nice little open plan cottage. Close to beach. Pet friendly. Lovely hot tub. Welcome hamper was very appreciated. Lovely friendly owner. Will definately return nazcher (November 2017)
Not suitable for those 50+ as sofa although comfy too low. Bed much too low. Winter let tings need more that an oil filled radiator to heat the place. Takes too long to get warm. Facilities were good the kitchen had everything you would need. Easy to find and close to village shops, pubs & beach Mrs Whalley (November 2017)
We stayed here for a week July/August 2017. Booked as a base to explore North Wales. On arrival the cottage was immaculate and very clean with everything you would need. Lovely welcome basket too. Disappointed that the hot tub was cold, especially after a 7 hour drive but upon calling the owner we were offered to use the one next door! Was hot by the next morning and was grateful for it after a day of walking. We found the bed so uncomfortable, very soft and the walls to the next cottage paper thin so every footstep and noise was heard. The other thing was the gate, found it very difficult to manoeveure to open. Had a lovely meal in The Stag but was very disappointed in the Sunday lunch at The Harbour after reading all the reviews. All in all regardless of the above Camaes was a lovely place for a week of peace and relaxation. Joanne M (August 2017)
Smithys Cottage is just lovely. Situated just five minutes walk from the harbour with Pubs and all the shops needed for a great stay. The harbour is just lovely and everywhere is so well kept. We were greeted with a welcome hamper and the owner is very helpful and very responsive to any questions you may have. Highly recommended...:)...ohhh and don`t forget the chippy...A++ and ohhh the hot tub was a delight...xx raynzena (July 2017)
Hot tub is the best I've ever used. Accommodation is superbly located. Owners are the most friendliest we've ever come across. So glad we've booked for next year already. Mrs Elkin (June 2017)
Location is really good for touring Anglesey, and Cemaes Bay is really lovely and is only a few minutes walk away, we found it great for walking the dogs down the river walk and onto the beach. Great chippy just down the road and a couple of dog friendly watering holes for us, locals really friendly. Everywhere you could wish to visit in Anglesey is never more than a 25 minute drive away. So many beautiful bays and beaches to visit and to top it all off, what better way than to end your day with a drop or two of your fav tipple relaxing in the fabulous hot tub, which incidentally is the best we ever had, you wont be disappointed. tully102 (March 2017)
Hot tub fantastic. Felt welcomed by locals on pubs! Walter our staffie loved the beach! Love to return! Mrs Buckley (January 2017)
Wow this one of the best places I have ever stayed at, nothing was too much trouble and was made to feel at home from the minute we arrived, the hot tub was fantastic! Didn't want to go come home and will definitely go back- one word... AMAZING x Donna O (December 2016)
We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back:) Mrs O#&39;loughlin (December 2016)
My daughter, dog and I stayed for a week at Smithys cottage, we were welcomed with open arms by DJ and Ryan who were lovely They'd got us milk bread and butter and a huge welcome basket including dog treats ! The annexe is comfy and clean with all the amenities needed. It's well placed to have a wander round Cemaes great beaches, lovely cliff walks and the village has cafes, chippy and pubs It's well placed to explore Anglesey everything within an hours drive. The bonus of the stay was the hot tub ! Absolutely lovely to relax with a glass of something bubbly after a long day exploring sharon r (July 2016)
The cottage was compact, but had everything you needed and a hot tub thrown in for good measure. Customer 23
Just the right size. Hot tub is great, however it is on the patio which is on a main road. There is a fence but it could be a little more private with some hedges/bushes as the gate is lower than the fence and you can see people walk by. The kitchen is well equipped and the place is generally really comfortable. Cemaes Bay is lovely, only wish the weather had been better so we could explore more! Customer 24
We have just spent a long weekend here. The cottage is lovely, very clean & modern and has everything there that you would need. The only downside for me was the lack of privacy when using the hot tub. People walking past are able to see you through the fence so consequently this put me off using the hot tub. It is also right in front of the window of next doors cottage, although they had their blinds closed it was still off putting knowing they could have easily opened them at any time. Although we enjoyed our stay at Smithy Cottage I would not return purely because of the lack of privacy. Customer 25
Lovely welcome and we appreciated the welcome pack, thank you. The cottage was lovely , very well equipped and clean. Locals were very friendly. We had a lovely relaxing holiday and loved the hot tub. Customer 26
