Just stayed for three nights with friends. Excellent accommodation. Each of the three bedrooms has a shower en suite with plenty of hot water. Well equipped kitchen. Ample parking. Great views of the surrounding countryside. Infornmation books on the area as well as games and DVDs. Good Wi Fi. Sally the owner is friendly and is on hand should there be any issues. Lovely local pub in 10 minute walk that has good food. Steve16588 (November 2017)
Meadow View is a converted barn and it is fabulous. Away from the village of Edale, about 10 mins, it is quiet and with amazing views. The accommodation is of the most highest quality and fresh flowers in all rooms, with 3 superb bedrooms en-suite. The bedding was beautiful. Modern fully equipped kitchen and a welcome pint of milk. Sally, the owner is lovely and made us all very welcome. I thoroughly recommend this farm, and the sheep. shirley K (October 2017)
We had a lovely time. The property is in a very picturesque and quiet location. The garden was ideal for the children and the surroundings were beautiful. The cottage was very comfortable, very clean and the property owners were very good at giving us our privacy. Great for a quiet break and lots of opportunities for lovely walks in the countryside and hiking. Mrs Leonidou (June 2017)
Lovely holiday cottage. Very clean with nice touches such as fresh flowers in all rooms and a real Xmas tree. The lovely owner was very friendly and welcoming and left us wine chocolates an milk. Pubs in walking distance, great views and perfect for walking. Would highly recommend and will be booking again for the summer! Thank you Mrs Alliban (December 2016)
The location was beautiful and we liked the remoteness. However, we felt that the upstairs was very hot: we could have made good use of a fan or air conditioning unit as there was only one window to open. On the other hand, some dampness came through downstairs and it was a bit cold at times. Also, a loaf of bread in the bread bin went mouldy before we could eat it. It would have been useful to have had somewhere to put shower gel etc. in the shower although we all thought the shower units were very good. A toilet roll holder would have been useful too in the bathrooms. One of the downstairs toilet seats was broken too. We felt the picture of the grass area was misleading as it was much smaller than it actually was, but it was well kept and very pretty. It was good to have an outdoor seating area where we could relax and enjoy the view. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery and many items of kitchenware to use. We appreciated the welcome pack for when we arrived and Mrs. Gee kindly allowed us in a bit earlier. We all had a lovely holiday there amidst the most stunning scenery. Regarding below, an e-mail in reply would be sufficient. Mr Button from Cranbrook (September 2016)

This was a beautifully furnished property, very well equipped with amazing views. The only negative was the wifi which was a bit patchy Mrs Lynch from Bishop'S Stortford (August 2016)
This was a fantastic cottage. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It is a very quiet location and lovely setting. Ideal for walking and sightseeing. We would definitely recommend it to other friends. Mrs Roberts from Lymington (May 2016)
Meadow View was warm and cosy. We liked the location and the friendly welcome. Mr Millinchip from Northwich (February 2016)
We stayed here as a group of friends as our base for walking in and around Edale. Absolutely beautiful surroundings. The cottage is amazing and is actually much bigger than the photos demonstrate (rare!). Cannot say how perfect it was - 3 lovely bedrooms, all with ensuites and lovely and clean. Kitchen wonderfully equipped for cooking big meals. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will most likely be returning! The snow in November made it even prettier than normal. Again - 5 starts. The only thing "wrong" with the cottage is that it doesn't have an open fire - but that can't be helped. Owners were wonderful and friendly when checking in and happy to answer any questions we had. JadeFN (November 2015)
Excellent location and probably one of the best equipped cottages we have ever used as a group of 6. Superb views and excellent walks in the area. Mrs Mould from Norwich (September 2015)
A very comfortable cottage in superb location. Owner very friendly. Everything in the cottage to make for a very enjoyable stay. Mr Parker from Dunmow (September 2015)
The cottage was excellent and situated in a very peaceful location. Had an ideal garden for our 2 year Grandson. You could not ask for better accommodation, everything you need was supplied. Ten out ten, a fantastic holiday. Mrs Hammond from Ware (June 2015)
Spent a brilliant week at Meadow Cottage with my family. The cottage had everything you need plus a few nice little extras. The fresh flowers in the living room. The cottage is very well decorated. Everything was very clean. The bedrooms were excellent and having all en-suite was a bonus. The surroundings are very peaceful. The garden was secure so our Grandson was safe to play. Would highly recommend this cottage. susan h (June 2015)
We have just come back from staying at this wonderful cottage with the family. Though we were 6 adults and a lively 2 year old this cottage accommodated us with room to spare. All bedrooms were clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped, even more than our own houses :-) The location was off the 'main road' so all we heard were birds, sheep and the occasional train. You have to drive to the nearest shops and pubs but this is really no hardship. I would highly recommend this cottage to families or groups/couples. Tracy H (June 2015)
We had a fantastic week, although the weather was not great. The owner was really lovely, helpful and left us to it. The cottage was perfectly located with direct access to Kinder Scout. The property was excellent and just what we needed. We have four children and the cottage was set up perfectly for a family of six. We would definitely like to return! Mr Williams from Epsom (March 2015)
We had an excellent and stress free stay at our cottage and the owner could not have been more helpful. Thanks again for a wonderful time. Mrs Bound from Hayling Island (December 2014)
Meadow View Cottage had everything anyone would need for a self catering holiday. The owners thought of everything. We found the cottage and surrounding area delightful. Mrs Cross from Nottingham (October 2014)
Super cottage in lovely situation, very well resourced. Friendly helpful owner. Dr Elliott from Woodbridge (September 2014)
One of our best holiday cottages ever, and our friends agreed. We plan to return to the farm in future for another holiday. Very friendly helpful owner, delightful location and a very comfortable cottage. Dr Elliott from Woodbridge (September 2014)
Travelled with friends who needed separate rooms. Three ensuite delightful bedrooms, comfortable sitting room, well equipped kitchen, including a bread maker! A lovely walk into Edale and several other walks from the door. Lots of things to see and do in the area. Very quiet ( you get used to the occasional train in the distance). Very friendly helpful hostess, and a great feeling of a local community. No phone access drpetembe (September 2014)
The location was great and we were able to have good walks from the front door. The house was comfortable and it was good to have ensuite bathrooms in every bedroom. Mr Bossingham from Peterborough (August 2014)
The cottage was perfect for 3 couples with double beds and an en suite for each. All the amenities expected and plenty of room in the lounge and kitchen area. Location was excellent and we made use of pubs just down the road and the local walking. Mr Rushworth from Wirral (July 2014)
The cottage was equipped with everything you could want whilst away from home. Everything was clean and tidy. The setting was fantastic. The owner was lovely and very helpful. Mrs Slatford from Melksham (April 2014)
Fantastic,. Extremely well equipped & easy access. Mrs Tennant from Hull (December 2013)
The cottage was beautiful. We rented this cottage along with 2064 so that the whole family could be together. Meadow View has been beautifully renovated, three en suite bedrooms make it so very practical. Lovely bed linens and towels, little things that make your holiday! Kitchen so well equipped, easy to cook for the family after a day out. Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a family holiday. Mrs Wood from Birmingham (October 2013)
The cottage was lovely and in a beautiful location. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Mrs Roue from Saltash (October 2013)
Easy access for walks without having to use the car. Mrs Dowling from Liverpool (September 2013)
Probably the only time we have found the perfect cottage and location. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The cottage was very well equipped. Mr Egan from Lowestoft (August 2013)
Absolutely lovely cottage and gorgeous place to stay. Everything you could ask for in the cottage, and the owners very helpful. Mrs Sumby from Sunderland (August 2013)
This was a wonderful property, very peaceful and in a beautiful setting. It was very clean and the best equipped property I have ever stayed in. The owner was very helpful and always available if needed. I would gladly return there for a holiday, and would recommend it to my family and friends. Mrs Ellis from Dinas Powys (July 2013)
A beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings. A short walk to the local pub and shop. Close to everything you'd need. Mrs Henderson from Dereham (June 2013)
This was our fourth stay at Meadow view. It is such a lovely, peaceful place, a real 'get away'. The standard of the cottage is always very high and has everything we need. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit already! Mrs Young from Norwich (April 2013)
This cottage was perfect for our special family get-together. The location is picturesque with immediate access for walking the peaks. It also has the added benefit of being serviced by the main Manchester to Sheffield trains. The property was spotless throughout and the owners were friendly and helpful. The cottage's three en-suite bedrooms were ideal for our family party, as was the open-plan living accommodation, enabling us to spend quality time together even whilst preparing meals in the well-equipped kitchen. There are two pubs in Edale - a short walk across a field - serving good pub food. We would definitely consider returning. Mrs Burt from Broadstairs (January 2013)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very attentive owners nearby for queries. Very well equipped. Nice to have comfortable lounge area as weather was not very good. Location very good for accessing local amenities. Enjoyed blue john mine, Chatsworth house and farm shop, Ladybower, Derwent reservoirs. A FlipKey verified reviewer (September 2012)
The views from the cottage were amazing. Really loved that it was on a working sheep farm with really friendly owners that even went out and bought us a BBQ as it was sunny that week. The pretty village was within walking distance and the access to the Peak District and it's glorious walks was brilliant. Overall had a really good holiday. Miss Drake from Lowestoft (May 2012)
Best property we've been to and fantastic location - ideal for walking. Mr Harwood from Warwick (April 2012)
We would like to thank the owners for providing a lovely property. They were helpful with wifi connection and shopping deliveries. The property was warm with plenty of hot water. Mrs Giddings from Solihull (February 2012)

Excellent location, friendly owner on-site, very warm house for midwinter! Very good beds, very quiet location yet quite easy to get to. Mr Robinson from Cambridge (December 2011)
The location is excellent and the landlady was very helpful and unobtrusive, a relaxing place to be. The house was warm, dry and had a very well equipped kitchen. An en suite for each bedroom made a very big difference. Mr Jones from Maesteg (October 2011)
The barn was equipped to the highest standards. The position was rural but it was only a short walk to Edale and the station, coffee shops and pubs. The owner was helpful but not obtrusive. Overall the holiday was a hit with all 4 generations of the family. Mrs Morris from Northwood (September 2011)
The accomodation was excellent in a fantastic area of the Peak District. Ideal for walking and touring the area. Very friendly hosts. Alan (September 2011)
The accommodation is well equipped, comfortable, clean and in an excellent location for exploring the area. Our second visit. A FlipKey verified reviewer (August 2011)
It was our 2nd visit to this set of holiday cottages. Scenic rural location set in the Edale Valley with fantastic walking opportunities up on Kinder Scout and over to Castleton direct from the cottage doorstep. We had great weather on this trip so didn't have to rely on the wet weather activities I had planned, of which there are many in the area. This cottage would be accessible to those travelling without a car as although it feels like an isolated location, it's only a 10 minute walk from Edale railway station which is on the Manchester to Sheffield line. The cottage was well fitted and maintained throughout and the owner was very welcoming throughout our stay. Mrs Robinson from Chester (July 2011)
The cottage is very comfortable and clean. The Meadow is in walking distance from Edale railway station, and it is possible to start several walks from the cottage. Additionally there are stables at walking distance too. Mrs Meissner from Cambridge (July 2011)
The owners were very friendly. Ideal location of cottage in a wonderful area of the Peak District. Mrs Pressling from Marlow (July 2011)
We love this cottage, it is our second time there. It is perfectly situated for walking and the pubs. It is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We will be back next year. Mrs Young from Norwich (June 2011)
The setting of the property, lived up to expectations. It was very clean, comfortable and an ideal location for a quiet holiday, also ideal for walkers. Mr Kidman from Southampton (May 2011)
The accommodation was very well equipped and cosy for an autumn break. We loved the fact that we could have a great and challenging walk from the front door but were only 10 minutes from the village pub too! Miss Worship from Leicester (November 2010)
We wanted to be able to walk in the Edale Valley and this cottage provided the ideal location. A ten minute walk to the pubs in Edale. roomy and clean accommodation. Friendly hosts. We enjoyed this holiday and would love to go back. A FlipKey verified reviewer (November 2010)
A great cottage, very quiet, superb views from most windows, very clean and new. Very well equiped kitchen. A great stay, many walks from the front door A FlipKey verified reviewer (November 2010)
Excellent cottage with very friendly owners. The cottage is in a very rural setting and is an ideal base for touring the surrounding countryside yet at the same time is very close to major conurbations. We particularly liked that all three bedrooms had en-suite facilities. In addition to the added privacy it saved time in the morning meaning we could be out and about earlier than would have been normal. Dave (December 2009)
Have stayed in many holidays lets in the past, and I have to say this was the best! The accomodation was first class, lovely fixtures and fittings with comfortable beds. The owners were extremely friendly and they were on hand to offer advice on where and what to do locally and further afield. Lovely fresh flowers on arrival and homemade scones! Great location, away from it all, but within a safe short walk (of the road)to the local village and pub. Higly recommended Karen J Wright (December 2009)
