Perfect barn conversion, everything was spotless. Beautiful bathroom with under-floor heating, jacuzzi bath and shower. Spacious bedroom and living accommodation, all in all perfect location for a lovely holiday. Would recommend...... Mrs Bosworth (September 2017)
A lovely barn style cottage in a peaceful location. Very easy access to all of the coastal and inland areas. Also an excellent pub close by with an excellent menu. Would highly recommend Dairy Cottage Mrs Spilsbury (June 2017)
My husband and I have just returned from four nights at Dairy Cottage and it's been wonderful. Beautifully modern cottage, perfect for a couple wanting away from it all with great links. The cottage was immaculate and was fully equipped (the lack of wifi was a welcome escape!) Only 20 minutes from Whitby and with great local pubs. Very friendly dog welcomed us on our arrival and we did have a very flighty uninvited guest (keep the front door closed!) in the shape of a swift. Perfect little cottage, would return and recommend in a heart beat! RacheyP87 (May 2017)
An excellent cottage. Very luxurious and cosy. The Jacuzzi bath was great. Even a coffee machine. A lot of touches that make for a great choice. Good base for exploring Whitby. Mr Bland from Leeds (December 2016)
An amazing little cottage that was in a brilliant position and had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend it. Thank you. Mrs Finn from Windsor (July 2016)
The location and surroundings were very scenic and peaceful, and the cottage is decorated and furnished to a high standard. The bathroom has a very good shower and great whirlpool bath. The owners were friendly and helpful. Mr Donnelly from Dungannon (June 2016)
It was absolutely lovely, with friendly owners. Perfect. Mrs Scargall from Grimsby (May 2016)
The location was good for exploring the North Yorkshire coast and the North Yorkshire Dales. The cottage was very warm and comfortable especially as the nights were chilly. The bed was spacious and comfortable and the cottage was clean. Having no dogs and no carpets was ideal for me with allergies. Mrs Otten from Manchester (April 2016)
The cottage was in a beautiful quiet spot with great views to the sea. The bathroom was amazing, with a whirlpool bath and heated floor! The kitchen was well equipped. It was equal distance from Whitby and Scarborough so we were able to get out and about and enjoy both places. Mrs Blake from Chesterfield (April 2016)
The location was ideal to visit the resorts of Whitby and Scarborough and also the small fishing villages in between. The cottage was ideal for the two of us and our hosts were incredibly helpful to us. The cottage was equipped well and had extras not normally in cottages. Ms Beresford from Holmfirth (March 2016)
It was ideally situated, quiet with stunning views from the front door, and with very high standard furnishings. Mrs Soilleux from Benfleet (September 2015)
A beautiful stylish cottage which lived up to the 5 tick Sykes rating. The cottage made our holiday extra special. Mrs Gough from Bolton (March 2015)
A truly excellent cottage in Yorkshire - decorated and finished to a very high standard throughout; everything you needed for a comfy getaway. Wouldn't hesitate to return for longer or recommend to friends. Mr Lee from London (January 2015)
The cottage was away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the views were fantastic and the cottage itself was set out beautifully. The spa bath was a lovely feature as was the wood burner, very cosy. Would love to return in the future. Well done to the owners for creating a very romantic and cosy cottage!! Mrs Simpson from York (October 2014)
The isolation of the cottage suited us as we wanted to recharge our batteries. We knew what to expect as friends have previously stayed here. The log burner is a lovely touch on a cooler evening. The property is converted to a high standard and very well maintained. Mrs Dewfield from Redditch (September 2014)
Overall a first class cottage, the fixtures and fittings were all modern and of a high standard. Very good value for money on par with National trust cottages which we use regularly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to other couples. Mr Whittaker from North Walsham (August 2014)
The holiday was exactly what we had hoped for. The location was perfect for everywhere we wanted to visit and the cottage was ideal in every way. Mrs Taylor from Bedford (June 2014)
This cottage certainly had the WOW factor. The decor was lovely, the furnishings beautiful and the scenery, when you opened the front door first thing in the morning, was something you would want to see every day - sheep, horses and rolling fields. The location of this cottage is a photographer's delight. We enjoyed everything about the cottage and would certainly recommend to family and friends. Mrs Pearson from Spalding (May 2014)
A very well laid out and cosy cottage in a fantastic location. Miss Miles from Maidstone (April 2014)
Dairy Cottage was absolutely lovely, and the ideal property for two people. It is in a great location near to Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby thus making in a great base to explore the area. The cottage itself has been decorated to an extremely high standard and the addition of the log burner was a really nice touch. We really cannot fault it, and would definitely like to come back and spend a whole week rather than just a long weekend. Mr Mundin from Huntingdon (November 2013)
Beautifully presented property, perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway in a lovely location. Highly recommended. We will definitely be returning. Mr Lee from Nottingham (October 2013)

owners could not be more helpful, even the well behaved dog visits you as return at the end of the day. The cottage has everything you could want and more lovely views of the local farmland no traffic passes at all 10 minutes from Scarborough, half hour from North Yorkshire Moors Railway and 25 minutes from whitby. an ideal place to tour from. Very friendly owner, could not do enough for you. Very friendly dog who comes to greet you when you return. Mr Denman from Havant (February 2013)
Beautifully modern cottage in a fantastic setting. Owners were discrete - on hand for anything but not in the slightest intrusive. A couple of lovely little touches; a Christmas tree and a wrapped box of chocolates. Good handbook, maps and suggestions. Perfect break Ms Heaton from Bicester (December 2012)
This must be about the best holiday cottage we have ever rented from any company. The fittings and equipment were top class, the bathroom the very best we have found in a holiday rental. It is located near to some stunning country side and coast with walks galore. A FlipKey verified reviewer (September 2012)
The cottage was well situated for visiting the local towns of Whitby & Scarborough & the beautiful coastal scenery. The cottage was stylish and attractively decorated and had everything we needed. It was a great pleasure to stay there. The owner was friendly and helpful and even the dog was welcoming! We did not know the area prior to this visit and were very pleasantly surprised at how much there was to see and do. We will return one day and will have no hesitation in staying at Staintondale again. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to stay in the area.
