Perfect for big groups. The furniture in the lounge area was a little tired, one sofa (the sofa bed) in particular was ripped and the leather had come off quite considerably which was a shame. The property was cold when we arrived in the evening but the heating made it warm up quite quickly. Mr Tomkins (March 2019)
it is exactly what we wanted ,clean ,comfortbale ,spacious and well eqiuiped .there are three double room and two single bed in a room ,a wooden horsy ride and other games was well played by our children , we enjoyed the big bubble bath time after our delicious food (chinese hotpot ) it is defenite to recommend to families and friends .hope to come back the wales next year ,thanks very much for the owner . Mrs Sui (October 2018)
Under "The Property" it is stated that there are two double bedrooms and two twins. The photographs also suggest that there are two twin rooms. On arrival we discovered that there are in fact three doubles and one twin, i.e. 5 beds. This meant that we had to bring into use the sofa bed but we could find no bedding for this. Fortunately one of our party was a late arrival who we were able to contact to ask her to bring her own bedding. On closer inspection we discovered that an accurate description is given under "Accommodation" but there is clearly a need to amend the other two areas of the property details. The two single beds and the sofa bed were considered to be uncomfortable. Ms Edmundson (October 2018)
Weather wasn't kind to us so we had lazy mornings looking at the lovely views. The owners are very friendly and always on hand if you have any problems. Always sad to leave there Mrs Powroznyk (September 2018)
Certain cupboards also had a bad odour. I cook electric and have done for over twenty years, this cooker dated and room too long to make a meal. The beds were comfortable but the walls and doors needed painting. Shower in main bathroom was a trinket, other members of the party couldn’t use the toilet or run any water whilst the shower was in use. The ensuite shower was also a problem no one could use water whilst in use as the water was either too hot or run cold. The lounge was just not up to standard needed a totally refurbished . The yard has never been cleaned no hosepipe to clean up after the dogs. Two gates in yard have been nailed down i don’t know Sykes feel about this but consider it to be a fire hazard no way out. Mrs James (September 2018)
Sad to leave this beautiful family house and can’t wait to return. Fabulous location with great outlook on the Welsh Mountains. Wonderful base for day trips and a real home to come back to each day. House is well furnished for families and brilliant for us as is pet friendly. As Archie our chocolate lab is a member of the family too it suited him fine with plenty of space for him; inside and out. We utilized the Bbq as had super weather ; enjoying the garden and sun. Well equipped kitchen and spacious dining room. Large Lounge easily accommodated 8 of us. Lots of loos which is always handy for a big group! Sumptuous big bath which we loved after sandy days at the beaches. We are really grateful to the owners of this property ; who have obviously put lots of love and effort into it- even the rocking horse on the landing will attract young ones attention! it’s a house we could just live in full time. Many happy memories of Cartrefle thanks again . Bonkersmandy (July 2018)
The garden to the front was okay for the dogs but unfortunately the wall in the inside was lower than the outside and therefore dogs could jump over very easily. There was a yard off the kitchen, which it was suggested they would like, but it was not suitable, we felt for our dogs. Our main grievance were the showers. The one in the bathroom, over the bath came out in a dribble and the water was cold. The one in the ensuite worked most of the time but would suddenly loose its heat. I went around to the owners on numerous occasions to report this, but was not able to make contact. I eventually put a note through their letter box, which was ignored. Being six adults it made showering rather as problem. The kitchen was well equipped generally but lacking a bread bin or somewhere to keep bread and sharp knives. Mr Ratcliffe (July 2018)
I questioned this with an online chat with Jamie who who when I asked how many bathrooms there were said 4. I pointed out that the written description only said 1 bathroom and one shower room was there a bath in the ensuite with a wc and basin. After consideration he said that that would be it the ensuite had a shower. The description states that there is a sun lounge. the area does have a very good view over Snowdon but can hardly be called a lounge of any sort it is so narrow that it was impossible to stretch the legs out. There was mould on the window frames of the rear bedrooms. In the kitchen the beakers had tea stains on four of the * and the teaspoons were disgusting and we had to buy bleach to clean them. In the lounge the settees which were old and badly worn in places offered no comfort. In general most things were poor quality and cleaning was not good with most of the windows looking as if they had not been cleaned for some considerable time.. the place looked as if nobody cred about it with the information in the cottage book in several instances out of date again this was the worst one of its type that that we have encountered Mrs Grainger (June 2018)
Excellent house for a large party or 2 families. Great location for visiting all areas of Anglesey. Very quiet and great views. Large secured garden for children and dogs. Mrs Ingram (July 2017)

Everything was as we expected an the holiday more than met our expectations. Mr Slater (June 2017)
cooker was poor but everything else was spot on Mr Charlesworth (February 2017)
Excellent property and really nice owners Mr Gore from Bolton (September 2016)
We stayed here with our extended family and our dog. The cottage was lovely. Very spacious and had everything we needed. The garden was a suntrap and we had the weather. The area was peaceful and the views were great. The master bedroom was really nice. We had not been to Anglesey before and had the best time. The only thing bad to say really is the oven needed updating or a good clean but we were happy with the BBQ and hob. Laura W (September 2016)
This is a beautiful cottage , ideal for us as we were 2 family units traveling together. The house was spotlessley clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a lovely holiday. The rooms were all very spacious and the dining room was perfect for us all to eat together and play games in the evening. The utility room was a wonderful addition as we do not normally have access to a washing machine when we holiday so this was great . Our children loved the large garden to play in and the games and wii console which were there for them to play with. As a family we have been coming to Anglesey for 38 years and I can say this was the best place we have ever stayed in. The village it's self is so peacefull and the views from the rooms are simply breathtakingly. I would just like to thank the owners again for a wonderful holiday . Mrs Brammer from Manchester (August 2016)
Lovely property in a lovely area, lots of things to do and the owners were very helpful and accommodating. Mrs Taylor from Liverpool (July 2016)
There was plenty of room for all the family and the view from Cartrefle was amazing. Mrs Geary from South Croydon (February 2016)
Had a fabulous short stay at this lovely, well equipped property. The beds were very comfortable, the shower in the en suite was hot and powerful and the kitchen facilities were excellent. We travelled as a group of 2 families with kids aged from 8 up and they thoroughly enjoyed the garden, thank you very much. Cook from Manchester (June 2015)
Comfortable accommodation, it was well looked after and in an attractive area. Mr Gray from Stalybridge (May 2015)
A great family holiday home with plenty of room to bring all our family together. Eight of us between three family units ageing from ten to sixty. A fantastic view to sit and look at while reading and sipping wine. Plenty of long beach walks to keep us entertained and tire out the whole family. We would use the house again we had no complaints. Mrs Hewitt from Stockport (April 2015)
The house was excellent. 10 people stayed and there was plenty of room for us all to sleep, eat and relax. Would highly recommend this house to anybody visiting Anglesey. Mr Holland from Wallasey (February 2015)
This accommodation is excellent for up to 10 persons with a beautiful bathroom with roll top bath and shower in the main bathroom, an on suite in the master bedroom and a tidy toilet and sink in the second double room which opens to views of Snowdonia mountain landscape and open farmland. The two twin rooms are comfortable and bright. A spacious and practical dining room is where we spent hours after our meals every evening enjoying warm companionship. All rooms tastefully decorated and warm with full central heating and log burners. The kitchen is adequately equipped and modern. This property is pet friendly and inviting. Even in winter we enjoyed the convenience of exploring the countryside on the island and the beautiful scenery of the Snowdonia National Park just half an hours drive away. Local supermarkets, cafes and restaurants are to be found in all the larger villages and towns not forgetting the pubs too of course. Red Wharf Beach is within walking distance if you fancy taking the dog for a walk and a drink at the pub. The owners of the cottage are available next door in case of any problems and are more than pleased to help out in case of an emergency. We found the area quiet and pleasant. Gloria J B (December 2014)

A beautiful cottage with amazing views. The house had everything that we needed and was decorated/furnished to a very high standard. The location of the property was also good and it was only a short drive to Benllech and Red Wharf Bay. The owners were also very helpful and lovely. I would highly recommend Mr Brown from Manchester (June 2014)
The house was fantastic for our family holiday and there was plenty of room for 8 of us and 2 dogs. The dinning room table was great for our meals and then to play games in the evening. We loved the wood fire in the lounge The views when sat outside were lovely and it was just a ten minute drive to Red Wharf Bay. Mrs Badcock from Manchester (May 2014)
An absolutely superb accommodation with stunning views of Snowdonia, excellent central heating and wood burning fire, luxurious bathroom with roll top bath. The owner was really pleasant and helpful. Mr Keeling from Liverpool (January 2014)
