This is the 6th year (may be 7yrs) that we have stayed at Brock Cottage, we feel it is almost like being 'at home' Mr Mcgill (August 2017)
Fantastic place. The owner Sue was very helpful and her knowledge of the area was very useful. Mr Gent (August 2017)
The cottage was delightful and the location offered easy access to the Forest, sea and historical cities. The cottage is situated in a very rural setting and is in a lane just off a good road system. It is very quiet but has all the amenities needed to make a holiday a great success. It also has a secluded garden with seating areas. A most helpful but not intrusive host sets the seal on this lovely holiday cottage. Mrs Dennis (July 2017)
We had a very good week staying in Brock Cottage in the New Forest. Mrs De Salis, who owns the cottage, was lovely and a perfect host and also her dog Boris! The cottage had an amazing garden and the cottage was comfortable and clean. The cottage is in an ideal area of the New Forest with plenty to do and lots of eating places. Lymington Market was delightful on a Saturday morning and you can also go on the ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth in the Isle of Wight. Milford on Sea is good for a walk ... Mrs Elstone (May 2017)

The Wifi was a little unpredictable, but for us this wasn't an issue as everything else was perfect & the owner was so kind, friendly & helpful. Mrs Boxall (April 2017)
had a lovely holiday at brock cottage ,lovely location spotlessly clean.beautiful gardens and very comfortable but the internet did not work all week which we did need, sue the owner did try to have it fixed but did not succeed Mr Williams (April 2017)
Superb location, Owner was lovely and very helpful. It was great to see New Forest ponies on the heartland as you pulled the curtains each morning, and to walk around the local pond, and among the gorse and heather, in the evening, with ponies and donkeys everywhere. The coastline is only a few miles away and there are so many walks and places to visit. We were a bit worried about the "steep staircase" in the property and whilst it took a bit of getting used to, there was a good strong handrail, and with both the sitting room, bathroom and bedroom upstairs, there was no worries about having to negotiate it at night-time. The bed was also very comfortable. We will definitely return to this property. Mrs Davey (April 2017)
The cottage was just perfect for a relaxing break, we had everything we needed and the owner Mrs S De Salis was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we felt at home in this lovely accommodation. Mrs Rice (March 2017)
Relaxing lazy holiday in a comfortable cottage in a quiet location was ideal thank you Mr Pigram (February 2017)
The owner was very friendly and helpful. She gave us many recommendations for exploring the nearer environment and good hints for day trips in the area. Stonehenge and Salisbury or the park Stourhead are really a visit worth. A trip to the Isle of Wight could be another option. The cottage is very cozy. It's a quiet place for relaxing. The New Forest with its beautiful landscape and the wildlife is really amazing. Mr Meier from Kirchberg An Der Jagst (August 2016)
We have had holidays at Brock for the last 4 years & have booked for 2017. This is an area that we love to come to, Brock cottage is superb, excellent very helpful owner on site we will return all the time we are able to drive to the location. The comment book in the hall reads of other folk having super holidays. Mr Mcgill from Horley (August 2016)
The location was excellent with walks from the front door. The cottage was homely, comfortable and had a good central heating system. The landlady was very caring! Mrs McIntosh from Henfield (January 2016)
Lovely atmosphere. Pleasant views over the heath and Hatchet pond in one direction, and the lovely garden in the other direction. Cosy and comfortable. Mr Balcombe from Sheffield (November 2015)
A superb cottage with an excellent hostess. Mr Mcgill from Horley (August 2015)
This is my second visit to Brock Cottage. The area has a peacefulness about it, there are a variety of different areas to explore; forest, heath and coastal, all with their own unique qualities and different habitats for nature. Indeed there are unique birds to be found at all locations. There was no need to take the car out on excursions as most areas are in walking or at least cycling distance. The owner of the cottage and her delightful dog are most welcoming, and very helpful with advice on the area. This is indeed a special place. Mr Senior from Pontefract (May 2015)
The location of the cottage was perfect for us as there were walks directly from the property. The cottage was warm, comfortable and the garden was delightful. The owner was very helpful without being intrusive. Mr Kelly from Burbage (April 2015)
The surroundings were very calm and peaceful. The owner was very nice and pleasant, very helpful. She knew a lot about the local area and told us the best places to go to suit our interests. We were not disturbed by anyone and could come and go as we pleased. Would definitely go again! Miss Davison from Walton-On-Thames (January 2015)
The cottage was warm and cosy when I arrived. Everything was just right. The chairs and the bed are comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. We were able to walk from the house without driving the car anywhere first. I loved watching the sun set from the sitting room window, over the heath. Lots of walking and cycle trails which were really accessible and there are small towns nearby to explore. I was very sad to leave on Monday. Ms Martin from Honiton (December 2014)
Lovely cottage in a perfect spot. Sitting in the gorgeous garden drinking tea was excellent. Weather was lovely. Area was lovely. The host and her dog Boris were very helpful and welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed our week away. Mrs Everard from Bolton (September 2014)
A super Cottage in peaceful surroundings. No Phone or Computer, life goes on without these items and it's most enjoyable. Mr Mcgill from Horley (August 2014)
Excellent location - in the heart of the New Forest, with good access also to the Isle of Wight. The owner was charming and helpful. Mr Knight from Macclesfield (July 2014)
We enjoyed a very warm welcome by the owner and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was the best that we have stayed in anywhere, a little gem, and the beds were especially comfortable. We had a great time exploring the locality, everyone was friendly and most helpful. Mr Green from Leicester (June 2014)
We loved the location of this cottage which is, in fact, detached in the owner's beautiful garden. We had our own private area of garden and somewhere to sit out and listen to the birds and smell the lovely fresh forest air. Walks straight from the door into the new forest heath was fantastic for us and we delighted in watching the ponies and west highland cattle walk past the Cottage on their way to other grazing areas. Location to amenities was good as the towns such as Lyndhurst and Hythe were very close for shopping. Location to the sea with lovely walks and views was superb as was the tranquillity of the cottage. The owner is a really lovely person who was very kind and helpful. We SHALL return. Mrs Woods from York (May 2014)
My wife and I had a very enjoyable week at Brock Cottage, which is located on the south-western outskirts of Beaulieu within the New Forest National park. After much Trip Advisor research and planning we decided that Brock Cottage would probably be what we were after, and it WAS. We wanted a base that would enable us to enjoy our week regardless of possible variable autumn weather. We also wanted a peaceful comfortable home away from home, located to enable us to travel in various directions, exploring countryside, National Trust properties, historic cities and cathedrals as well as experiencing the New Forest National Park, Portsmouth etc. Communications, booking etc all worked very smoothly and we found the two storey cottage to be very roomy. Downstairs there is a large fully equipped kitchen/dining and a separate entry lobby. Upstairs is a large bedroom, a spate bathroom and cosy spate lounge/TV room. All with central heating and pleasant views of owners adjoining house and garden, as well as the countryside beyond (New Forest horses and donkeys). Brock Cottage is an older property, but it is well looked after in good condition and very comfortable. We had a great week and were thoroughly satisfied with our choice 65Graham65 (December 2013)
Cosy but light, and well laid out cottage, ideal for couple wishing to explore the New Forest and a day trip to isle of Wight! The owner was most helpful, but not intrusive. Mr Mccall from Kingston Upon Thames (November 2013)
We had a lovely week at Brock Cottage, the bed was very comfortable & the cottage was well equipped. The owner was very helpful without being intrusive. Brock Cottage is well situated for exploring The New Forest. The location of the cottage is perfect; you can walk or cycle directly into the National Park from the property and it is in a lovely quiet area. The cottage itself was clean and very cosy. The owner is very friendly without being intrusive and the lovely homemade cake was a nice welcome for us on arrival. We would definitely like to stay here again in the future. Mrs Sargent from Hastings (March 2013)
lovely cosy cottage ideally located for all the surrounding attractions. The owner Sue will make you most welcome without being intrusive. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the bitterly cold weather. dav2ron (March 2013)
There were bird feeders both in my bit bit of the garden. Since the weather was very cold, the birds really needed the food. The countryside was very beautiful. The wildlife was enchanting. Ms Gillie from London (February 2013)
The owner is an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. The cottage was very well equipped and spotless. Location was fantastic! Mr Midgley from London (December 2012)

Brock Cottage is a wonderful cottage. We had the most lovely week. The cottage lovely and peaceful, in a beautiful area. We especially liked sitting out in the garden for our meals. Sue the owner is lovely, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We were able to go cycling or walking every day from the door, not having to use the car most of the week.
