Very well equipped and comfortable. Felt completely at home. The log burner was a lovely feature. Mrs Bayliss (November 2017)
Enjoyed another excellent holiday at Ripple Cottage. Lovely rural setting yet Canterbury and the coast are easily accessible. We hope to visit again soon. Mr Ford (September 2017)
We had a very nice holiday in this cottage, the owner was very generous in providing excellent items for us to enjoy. It is probably the best cottage we have ever hired. Mr Philps (March 2017)
Everything was as described. Stephen was very helpful and gave us all the information we need to visit places of interest around. The cottage is very beautiful, cosy and we'll equipped. Highly recommended. Mrs Aguirre from Wadhurst (December 2016)
We do love the cottages Miss Salazar from London (November 2016)
We have been to many self catering cottages but none have had the same quality of facilities (e.g. a large HD TV) We soon felt very much 'at home' as a result. Stephen kindly explained all the facilities to us & emphasised he would come out if there was any problems or difficulties we experienced. Thankfully there were none. It added immensely to the enjoyment of our walking holiday in Kent. Mr Worby from Tadley (October 2016)
Although no wi-fi, it does have a good mobile signal (3G and often 4G) Mr Robinson from Cheltenham (September 2016)
A very well equipped Cottage with great furnishings. A good location and in easy reach of main roads. Mrs Young from Bridgwater (June 2016)
The accommodation was absolutely faultless in every way. Perfect location for touring Kent and West Sussex. Mr Westwood from Sidmouth (June 2016)
Furnished and fitted out to a very high standard, the cottage is fully equipped with everything you could need for a lovely relaxing holiday. Situated in a quiet and peaceful location, there is a beautiful small enclosed patio area just right for eating Al Fresco, or if it should rain you can retire to the lounge and watch the birds feeding. The owner made us very welcome and has thoughtfully provided fully detailed suggestions of local walks which we found very useful. Wye, with its excellent shops and eating places, is only about 2 miles away. We look forward to returning in the future. Mr Vincer from Torquay (June 2016)

Everything was just perfect. The furnishings, décor, equipment and location. It is ideally situated for walking, even from the front door. With many places to visit in fairly close proximity, or the cosy log burner to stay in with due to inclement weather. Mrs Dunbar from St. Leonards-On-Sea (October 2015)
The cottage was one of the best self catering homes we have ever stayed in. Mr Hunt from High Wycombe (September 2015)
Arguably this cottage was the best equipped holiday let in our experience. The sound bar complimenting the modern TV, the iPod and docking station. The handover by the owner was the most comprehensive we've ever received and the cottage is finished to a very high spec. Finally the small but entirely private garden and patio were an absolute delight. Mr Powell from Norwich (September 2015)
The facilities in the cottage were first class and the location was excellent, being very quiet and unspoilt. Mr Tutten from Plymouth (June 2015)
Liked the warm welcome by the owner and the attention to detail within the cottage. One of the best we have ever stayed in. Mr Rushton from Doncaster (June 2015)
The surroundings and the cottage décor/equipment were superb. The owner has taken immense trouble to provide not only a delightful place to stay but copious information on the area - even including books and videos pertaining to it. I would like to book for the same week next year! Mrs Smith from Maldon (May 2015)
Probably the best equipped cottage we have stayed in. It was cosy and a pleasure to come home to in the evening. The owner has organised everything down to the last detail. Mr Plank from Pershore (March 2015)
This cottage is spectacular in decor and location, and for the friendliness of its owner Steve - who forgave us breaking his lovely flower holder (we managed to stick it back together again so hopefully no one notices). The location is amazing with great countryside all around a lovely small village close by, a great pub up the road and plenty to do for day trips. We were there in bitter winter conditions at the beginning of February but we still had an amazing time with the wood-burning stove and a good video or two. The cottage is so well furnished and designed that I wanted to copy all the ideas in it. Stay here if you want to be in the countryside surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful things. You will love it. Susan T (March 2015)
One of the best cottages we have stayed in. Mr Gamble-beresford from Witham (February 2015)
This is a superb property with beautiful attention to detail, in a lovely part of the countryside. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a romantic week away in a fantastic cottage on the Kent countryside. Mr Goodwin from Southsea (February 2015)
The owner was very pleasant and showed us everything we needed to know when we arrived, he left us basic supplies of tea, coffee, milk plus loads more essentials which were very useful, the cottage was very well equipped, clean and organised. There were detailed maps and information about the surrounding area including walks, pubs, restaurants and local attractions. The nicest thing we found was that the cottage was warm, and we enjoyed the real fire which was used every night. Mr Goodwin from Southsea (February 2015)
The owner has created the most perfect holiday home - he has thought of everything needed for a cosy winter break. Will most certainly re-book this cottage. Mrs Thompson from Murcia (December 2014)
This was the best holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. Everything was beautifully presented and the owner had spent a lot of effort providing local info and recommendations/directions. He left copious amounts of books, music and other entertainment for our use and made everything simple and clear. Ms Inglis from Glasgow (August 2014)
Everything about this cottage was superior. The owner met us on arrival and showed us around, giving tips on how various pieces of equipment worked and local info etc.; very helpful. The area is crowded with things to do. We had a very enjoyable week and would recommend this cottage to anyone. Mrs Gilbert from Darwen (August 2014)
The owner was so friendly and helpful, the Cottage was luxurious and so comfortable; we were thrilled with our fortnight there. There were files of maps and local walks, and hints about local villages, towns and tourist spots which were very helpful. The garden was a delight and we loved watching the birds on the feeders. Mrs Bell (May 2014)
An outstanding property, the best so far. Tremendous value. Mr Bailey from Frome (May 2014)
Could not be any better. Owner obviously gives a great deal of thought to doing all he can to make guests comfortable. Mr Green from Stonehouse (March 2014)
We have stayed in many self catering cottages and have never stayed anywhere better equipped or more comfortable. A lovely peaceful spot for our break. Miss Young from Chippenham (January 2014)
It was a great break, and the cottage was superb. Well recommended. Mr Tomes from Jersey (December 2013)
Beautiful cottage, very relaxing, would recommend to family and friends. Mrs Cox from Milton Keynes (December 2013)
It was a perfect cottage, the little extra touches made it so comfortable, there was everything provided for our comfort. So peaceful and rural, but only 10 minutes from Canterbury. Even though it was November I had a wonderful time at the cottage, and will be returning. Mrs Healy from Basildon (November 2013)
The Location very peaceful, but well positioned for sightseeing. The cottage very nicely furnished and decorated. The owner was very welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. The cottage had everything, and more than you could possibly need for an enjoyable holiday. The best cottage we have ever stayed in. Mr & Mrs Pipe from Norwich (October 2013)
The accommodation was amongst the best we have ever had, designed to the highest standard and immaculately presented. The owner was most solicitous in explaining how everything worked, and anxious that we should contact him for any query. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there are plenty of attractions near. We intend to return. Mr Howard from Louth (September 2013)
The standard and quality of the accommodation was excellent throughout. We wanted for nothing. Central location in Kent allowed us to explore both coasts with ease. All local information provided by the owner on all aspects was excellent. Mrs Hamblin from Bristol (September 2013)
Owners welcome and instructions appreciated. Excellently appointed cottage to very high standard. Delightful little garden and patio area. Mr Fogg from Derby (September 2013)
This was the best Sykes cottage we have stayed in. The cottage was delightful, with beautiful décor and lighting and very well furnished. The garden is beautiful, and again beautifully lit. We saw a wide variety of birds, insects and other wildlife. There is loads to do in the area with Canterbury and Chatham Historic Dockyard both being well worth a visit. Mrs Cox from Nuneaton (August 2013)
This cottage is simply superb. The furnishing, the little library, the hi-fi equipment, everything chosen by the owner with excellent taste and of outstanding quality. Also it is ideally situated if one wants to explore Kent and the Downs, with the nearby village of Wye being of outstanding beauty and very interesting to visit. Mrs Scheinert from Dresden (July 2013)
On arrival Steve tne owner was in attendance, he could not have been more friendly or helpful. Close to local village with good shops and eat in pubs. The cottage was spotless, of a very high standard and had every amenity you could wish for. decor was of a very high standard. No recycle facilities in the area. A FlipKey verified reviewer (July 2013)
Very cozy cottage with all mod cons, a little off the beaten track so ideal for walkers or this seeking peace and quiet. Local pubs at Why very good. Very comfortable, and warm. A FlipKey verified reviewer (June 2013)
Stayed in this lovely little cottage in a very cold week...and it was beautifully warm and very well appointed. We had a great time and there was a log burning stove...with a good supply of logs and coal. We were made very welcome and I would recommend this to everyone. A FlipKey verified reviewer (June 2013)
