"Burn Park" near Bude in Cornwall has a good choice of apartments and cottages, all set in 45 acres of Cornwall. The apartments have all been converted from farm buildings, with each apartment being these individually designed, and still retaining some of their original features.
Bude is just down the road and, with Fistral Beach, this is the place to try surfing. Bideford is a few miles up the coast; and Tintagel is a few miles down the coast. The Eden Project also makes for a lovely day out while you're in Cornwall.
You don't need to leave the park during your holiday. You could always just abandon the car and enjoy a few days peace and quiet.
