For a family short break in London, it's well worth having a closer look at the selection
of hotels available from Premier Inn. The Premier Inn I want to review here is the
"Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL" - located out in docklands. Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL can be a very cheap
option when spending the night in London.
Previously on a London family short break with the family, we've stayed in
the Premier Inn Tower Bridge and the
the Premier Inn London Southwark (Tate Modern).
Both of these Premier Inns make a great location, being central to the action. For our latest sojourn to London though, all the hotels
in central London were around £150 per night; which we found quite steep. However, choose a hotel a little further out of
town and the price drops considerably. The Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL cost £70 for the night.
Ah, you may well say, it's cheap because you can't get to the Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL. Now, being out in docklands, it does take a little longer to reach at the end of
a busy day exploring our great capital city. Docklands is well served by the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), so the
Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL can be easily reached using an underground travel card (or an
Oyster card - which
I would highly recommend, even for the occasional visit to London). "Prince Regent" is the DLR station to aim for - with the
hotel being a 2 minute walk away.
ExCel centre on your door step
With a name like "Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL" you would expect the Premier Inn to be close to the ExCel centre - and indeed it is. The not very
exciting video above shows just how close the ExCel centre is away from this Premier Inn.

You may have noticed not much (er, any) time has been spent on describing the facilities of the
Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL. There is a good reason for that though - all the Premier Inns offer the same thing (Have a look at the reasons we like Premier Inn)! That's
not a criticism. It's good to know what you're going to turn up to - especially when there a couple of children in tow! Anyway
Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL offers that same high standard you would expect.
Give Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL a try
If you think that Premier Inn Docklands ExCeL could be the place for you, find
out more information from

over and see whether there are any holiday homes available for your holiday dates.
