A hotel room in central London which can sleep 3 people, in 3 single beds? How about the Astor Court Hotel in Hallam Street - just down the road from Oxford Street.
I recently wanted a couple of nights in London with a couple of friends, so was on the look-out for a hotel which could easily sleep all three of us in one room. The main features of the hotel we were looking for included:
a) the hotel needs to be, at least, quite nice.
b) Not too expensive.
c) Needs to be close to the West End & a tube station.
The hotel which fitted our criteria was the Astor Court Hotel.
The Astor Court Hotel can be found near Oxford Street; with Great Portland Street & Oxford Circus tube stations both being a 5 minute walk away - Astor Court Hotel is equidistant between the two stations. We also easily walked to the British Museum within 10 minutes.
The hotel was what we expected from a London 3-star hotel; an old building - converted from an old Gentleman's Club many moons ago, I believe - the room we stayed in was spacious; and, vitally important I think you'll agree, very clean. The Astor Court Hotel certainly suited us three ladies for a couple of nights.
Our tariff included a continental breakfast, which was more than adequate for our needs. There were breakfast rooms, with breakfast being served in a buffet style - just help yourself to cereals, toast, croissants, Danish pastries, rolls and tea & coffee - you get the idea. tables were also quickly cleaned as people left the room, so all very clean & tidy.
One last thing to mention about the Astor Court Hotel, a lovely pub is just around the corner - perfect for some evening refreshments after a day exploring central London.
