There are a couple fo beaches close to Bridleway House: South Beach to the south, and the imaginatively titled North Beach, to the north. The town of Salcombe is a 30 minute walk from Bridleway House too - or for those not feeling quite so energetic, you can easily drive.
Kingsbridge, Hope Cove and Bantham Beach are all a short drive too. Plymouth is worth a visit for the day; or head into the Dartmoor National Park to experience some of those wide open spaces.
The National Trust land of Snapes Point ("Drink in the views of the Salcombe Estuary") and Overbecks ("A hidden paradise of subtropical gardens and eclectic collections") are very close to Bridleway House too.
