The capital of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness, is a short drive to the north. You can drive through the west of Scotland too, and take in the Nevis Range and Glencoe. Should you stop at the Nevis Range, you can head up the cable cars for a brilliant view of Scotland's west coast.
