You'll find the "Nevis Range" on Scotland's west coast; unsurprisingly, near Ben Nevis. A
popular location for skiing in the winter months, The Nevis Range is open in the height of summer too - although
not for skiing.

A summer day on the Nevis Range
We ventured up the Nevis Range on our summer holiday; it's not too strenuous as a cable car takes you to the top, although I
would recommend sensible footwear (eg, trainers or walking shoes). Upon arriving at the top you
are rewarded with some terrific views over to the east. For the adventurous mountain bike riders, you can
hook your bike onto the gondola for the journey up, and you can ride the course to the bottom.
For the brave hearted (not me), you can ride your mountain bike down the Nevis Range - and catch a gondola back up again
Just enjoy the sights
You don't need to be energetic to enjoy the Nevis Range - the cable car does all the work for you, and there's
a restaurant at the top to have a meal, or a brew. One thing to bear in mind though, it can be a bit chilly
at the top! We went in July, and needed jumpers and coats - a pair of gloves would have come in handy too!
Wear warm clothes at the top of the Nevis Range - even in summer!

A fabulous day out, the Falkirk Wheel links the Union Canal with the Forth and Clyde Canal. You have a variety of attractions at the Falkirk Wheel, including an Archimedes Screw, hire a cycle, paddle boats, or just a nice walk.
See the sights from the top of the Nevis Range in Scotland. Take a gondola up the mountain, and get some views from the Sgurr Finnisg-aig view point. You can always cycle down too - or take the cable car back down again.
