An amazing place to stay, lovely hosting from bea and a beautiful cottage, the only downside is no walks from the cottage but other wise an amazing place and the views and seclusion are more than worth it Ben from Oakham (14 October 2018)
We couldn't fault the cottage for comfort. the wood pellet boiler was very effective. the setting of the cottage was lovely and the garden very well equipped if the weather is right. Our only drawback was the lack of any footpaths to the nearest village so the best route was via the lanes - approx 2.5 miles. There were two very good pubs for meals a couple of miles away and all the facilities in the cottage made it very much home from home. we found the owners very friendly and helpful. Lots of lovely pictures around. Jean from St Albans (28 September 2018)
An extremely comfortable and well-appointed cottage, with exceptionally friendly owners. If it's peace and quiet you're looking for, look no further. John (22 August 2018)
Beatifull little cottage with a good location. Viktor from Värnamo, Sweden (17 August 2018)
Cottage is good for disabled but outside not very good for disabled as there is steps up to the entrance to the front door which are quite steep entrance to the front door is quite high and as a result one morning on stepping out I fell had to use side entrance but getting there had to go up and down an uneven incline as I had an other fall resulting in me breaking a garden ornament notified owners of this as an amputee it is no good for disabled people Confirmed Guest (01 June 2018)
Very well appointed with a lovely location, quirky and comfortable. If you desire all the modern comforts then this may be a little short of what you want however if location and piece and quiet is key then it's spot on . Ricky from Hastings (01 May 2018)
We are a mature couple that have stayed in many cottages in europe and the uk and crawfordston is a first class example of what we need from a holiday home . we are already looking to book it for another stay soon . Ray from Presteigne Powys (11 August 2017)
Lovely cottage located in beautiful countryside. Sue from London (18 June 2017)
A lovely spot, quiet and relaxing. A beautifully comfortable and well equipped cottage. The perfect place to get away from it all. Margaret from Lytham St Annes (28 April 2017)
Lovely secluded get away , car needed for local amenities , owners exceptionally helpful and welcoming , cottage well equipped , was a perfect home from home Confirmed Guest (04 January 2017)
The cottage was the best blend of away from it all and easily accessible to local shops at the village nearby. Beautiful, tranquil setting with its own sheep and a variety of birds which come to visit (leave nuts and fatballs in the feeders). even the tiny wren put in an appearance darting along the fence looking for bugs and spiders.. inside are all the commodities you could want and a pellet burning stove that was easy to manage providing the heat for water and radiators. Lovely for a relaxing break and to visit nearby attractions such as the dark sky observatory, and culzean castle where we found a surprising variety of things to do and which is situated right by the sea. Karen from Kincardine, Fife (19 September 2016)
Much bigger than the photos suggest, beautiful cottage. In a very quiet location, no view as such but is surrounded by fields (and cows. ) easy to reach the a77 making ayr and the surrounding area very accessible. Kitchen was well equipped. Lovely large bed in bedroom. Two sofas in living room and a dining area. . if you want peace and quiet this is the place for you. Jane from Newmarket (09 June 2016)
Lovely cottage in a very nice setting (except when a tractor and trailer comes in the opposite direction on the mile long approach road that doesn't have many passing places, but it does make it more interesting but not for the feint- hearted). we did love the wood pellet burner and it made the cottage very cosy. The open plan of the cottage suited us but may not be for everybody's taste. The cottage is a great base for exploring the area and the "dark skies" make for wonderful star gazing on a clear night. The owner is also a credit, she waited to greet us and explain all about the workings of the cottage although we had been held up due to a road closure and were 3 hours late on arrival at crawfordston cottage. Many thanks for a wonderful week and we will recommend crawfordstoncottage to family and friends Stuart from Derby (12 May 2016)
Realy nice place to just chill the owner was very nice and helpful. I'm hoping to go back in summer Jim from Dunfermline (03 May 2016)
It was unfortunate that the bioheater had broken down but the oil filled radiators seemed to compensate adequately. Peter from Gosport (11 September 2015)
Nice cottage. Pellet stove was defect. Good kitchen(tools). Harry from Deventer In The Netherlands (14 August 2015)
