We had a very nice week staying in bluebell cottage. Lesley met us at the cottage and took time to show us the amenities and tell us about the area and places to eat, she also left us a lovely cake which didn't last long. There is a log fire in the lounge which makes a great focal point but we did not have to use it as the cottage is cosy with the central heating and we also had some good weather. Bus service from the stop about 20 metres away was very good for getting into newcastle and metro centre. Corbridge is a charming small town with plenty of community spirit in evidence and a great selection of places to eat and drink. We will definitely be back. Michael from Aberdeenshire (13 October 2018)
We had a wonderful week staying in bluebell cottage which is right in the heart of the lovely village of corbridge. You only have to walk a few hundred yards to the quaint shops, pubs and eating places. The church stands opposite and there are many places to visit such as hadrian's wall and the roman village (this is within walking distance). you can walk along the river to dilston physic garden which is a beautiful place a mile and half away, or take a 6 mile circular walk via aydon castle through fields and woods. Great pubs serving good food, fine ales and wines, a choice of chinese, indian and other restaurants so you don't have to drive anywhere if you just fancy a potter! the railway station is a 10 minute walk away and you can take a train to newcastle. Also the nearby market town of hexham is 4 miles away and the abbey is worth a visit. The cottage itself is warm and cosy, well equipped, clean and very comfortable. A real home from home! lesley provides a caring service to make sure you have everything you need for a perfect, relaxing get-away. There is a private car parking space at the back of the property but we were also provided with a parking permit to park at the front when spaces were available. We definitely hope to return! We've been to a few cottages over the years but this was the best. Tim (29 September 2018)
This is the second time we've been to this cottage and it truly is an excellent place. friendly helpful owner, a true home from home. we hope to return soon! Philip from Ramsgate Kent (19 May 2018)
This is our second time at bluebell cottage and we just love it and corbridge, it is really us, and the owner lesley tries so hard. parking permits and cake are lovely touches . do not tell anyone else how great it is we might not get in again Christopher And Sandie from Kent (17 March 2018)
The bedroom and bed are too small Confirmed Guest (08 July 2017)
Beautiful cottage, very comfortable and clean, excellent can highly recommend. Susie from Portland Dorset (17 June 2017)
Although the weather was none too kind to us our consolation was bluebell cottage, which is beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished and superbly equipped. . at least, after wandering around in the rain, we were able to relax in comfort. Christine from Hartley, Kent (10 June 2017)
A great location within a wonderful little village, within a wonderful part of britain. Full of character, history and breath-taking scenery. A short walk takes you back into roman times and a short train ride can take you to the buzzing city of newcastle. Plenty to see and do. The cottage had fantastic facilities but try out the food in corbridge. The fish and chips from 'the angel' were second to none; the bakery does a too-lovely line in cakes; the ubiquitous curry house was delicious and the pub grub in the village means you don't need to stock up at the local co-op. A brilliant short break location but could have stayed much longer. Rae from Emsworth (03 June 2017)
Generally well equipped cottage in convenient location. Although advertised as off road parking at rear of property, this was not (in my view) a practical option. John from Blackburn (27 May 2017)
We had a very pleasant holiday in this comfortable cottage and we will definitely come again. The owner was very welcoming when we arrived and showed us around. a very very nice place to stay. Philip from Ramsgate Kent (13 May 2017)

We loved blue bell cottage. no complaints but a dishwasher and a new tin opener would be nice Christopher from Deal (18 March 2017)
This was one of the most beautiful cottages we've ever stayed in; lovely and spacious, brilliantly equipped and a fantastic location with everything you need less than a minute from the cottage. Corbridge itself is also lovely. I couldn't recommend this cottage highly enough. Anna from Stockport (07 January 2017)
The cottage was beautifully presented. One of best we have stayed in. We made use of the open fire on a couple of occasions which made the cottage even more cosy. Corbridge is really lovely with plenty of good places to eat, and lots of nice independent shops. We had a great stay. Denise from Manchester (29 October 2016)
Bluebell cottage is warm and comfortable, a place in which I would be quite happy to live. The standard of equipment provided is high and the owner very welcoming. Corbridge itself is a lovely town with some good shops, for a small place, and the cottage is well placed in the centre to reach all the amenities. I would be perfectly happy to stay there again. We loved everything about our stay in bluebell cottage in corbridge. by the second day we had decided we would love to live there! Gillian from Guiseley, Leeds (13 August 2016)
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at bluebell cottage in june 2016. The cottage is very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. It is situated in the heart of corbridge and there are local shops on the doorstep and lovely walks along the river near by. The cottage also benefits from having its own parking. We would recommend bluebell cottage to others. It is the perfect base from which to explore this beautiful area. Julia from Ashford (18 June 2016)
One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in and situated in a great location. . corbridge is a delightfull town, wish it was in devon! John from Holsworthy (21 May 2016)
This is a lovely, comfortable and tastefully-furnished cottage in a great location. One of the best we've ever stayed in! Jane from Solihull (24 October 2015)
We were delighted with bluebell cottage. It was easy to locate, parking directly opposite. The cottage was within walking distance of local public transport, shops, restaurants and pubs. The actual cottage is extremely spacious and could comfortably accommodate 4 people. However at the moment it has just the one double bedroom, we understood the owner is hoping to turn another room over to a bedroom. We liked the log fire with a good supply of wood. The living room had a good sized tv and cd/dvd player. Separate dining room. The kitchen was well equipped with appliances including washing machine, decent sized fridge freezer, cooker. In addition well stocked with utensils, crockery and cutlery. The first floor bathroom was superb. Although we never made use of it, the back garden was well kept and would be a pleasant relaxing spot for a warm summer evening. Finally internet access was good and lots of printed information about the cottage facilities plus local attractions. Phil from London (10 October 2015)
Very pleasant stay, in a nice location. The only downside was the size of the bed as I am tall. Also the shower could be improved. Apart from those, I would definitely recommend and return. Stephen from Ellon (03 October 2015)
A fantastic cottage, very well equipped in a lovely part of northumberland. Cannot recommend enough. Louise from Fareham (12 September 2015)
The best equipped and comfortable cottage we have ever stayed in. Location also first class. Barbara from Fife (05 September 2015)
Superb ! Confirmed Guest (29 August 2015)
Very nice cottage in the centre of the village. Owner supplied parking permit for the village and surrounding area which was a nice touch. Overall enjoyed stay in cottage and village. If we came to this area of the country again we would certainly look to stay again. Hugh from Bristol (22 August 2015)
Excellent 5stars Trevor from Leicester (25 July 2015)
