Fantastic holiday in a beautiful setting. Only one thing that is lacking and that's a swimming pool. Will definitely be back
Roberta from Hampshire (08 October 2016)

Overall enjoyed our stay :)
Ray from Emsworth (05 October 2016)

Absolutely fabulous , already booked for next year it cannot come around quick enough
Customer 3 from Herefordshire (01 October 2016)

What a super relaxing place the retreat is. From arrival until we left the staff were so friendly and informative. The hot tub was an added luxury that we used a lot even on chilly evenings.
Haydn from Aylesbury (30 September 2016)

This was our second visit to woodlands coastal retreat, great location with fantastic lodges & super views , staff friendly & helpful
Kenneth from Basingstoke (30 September 2016)

We enjoyed our stay. There were only 2 things we were a little disappointed with. 1, we had a vegetarian in our party and the menu in the restaurant selection was very limited, consequently we ate out all the time. 2, the lodge overall was clean, but felt that a little more attention to detail would have made a difference. There were loads of cobwebs which we hovered ourselves. The decking was also dirty even though it as a dry sunny day.
Maggie from Hertforshire (30 September 2016)

Lovely peaceful stay
June from Eastbourne (30 September 2016)

The lodge we stayed in was clean and well equipped. The hot tub was great to come back to after a day out exploring the island. The cushions on the patio furniture were a bit dirty but otherwise we could not fault it and would definitely stay here again.
Steve from Kettering (30 September 2016)

Exceeded our expectations, a very pleasant surprise..
Peter from Salisbury (25 September 2016)

Beautiful setting with views across to portsmouth and minuets from the beach. . the lodge was very clean and comfortable and our coffee machine needed to be replaced which was dealt with quickly. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Only negative was the meal that we had on the first night at the restaurant which was over priced for a very greasy beefburger and a steak sandwich which my son couldn't eat as so tough and the service was slow especial when waiting to pay the bill. . would definitely stay in one of the lodges again but we eat out at one of the many pubs/restaurants on the island.
Patricia from Hastings (24 September 2016)

First time on the isle of whyte, the weather was good which meant my 2 little grandsons. Spent most i. Of the week on the beaches with their parents, while myself and my husband explored the island. We all agreed that as we returned to our lodge every evening the comfort the high standard of cleanness , must not forget the powerful showers in both ensuits with an endless supply of hot water made us cook in rather then eat out with 2 tired little boys, it was like home from home. Would not hesitate to recommend the woodside coastal retreat, the warm welcome and helpfulness from the reception staff continued with the maintence staff we met around the resort.
Marian from Luton (24 September 2016)

Great relaxing break
Trevor from Oxford (24 September 2016)

Our holiday at the coastal retreat was excellent. Had we been an all adult group it would have scored 10 but there is little to do onsite for children. The island is so small and easy to get around, this isn't a major issue as plenty to do nearby but maybe a park area or something would give children something to do. The bbq restaurant was a highlight for us, really great idea and the staff there couldn't have been more helpful!
Catherine from Ramsgate (23 September 2016)

So good we've booked to stay again
Emily from Devizes (19 September 2016)

Fantastic place!! excellent 5***********************
Fiona (19 September 2016)

Good location by the sea although you can't use it as a beach. Nice views. Very clean.
Cheryl from Romford (17 September 2016)

Great spot.. loved every minute
Tracy from Thetford Norfolk (17 September 2016)

It was that good we are going again
Stephen from Swindon (16 September 2016)

Very good accomadation apart from the beds being very uncomfortable.washing belonging to someone else still in washing machine.cooker not cleaned and unusable due to smell of old cooking.shower trays mould not cleaned. These problems were corrected after reporting to office. Light shade in twin bedroom unsuitable for the lamp and showed signs of melting.could be a fire risk.!. saw several rats attacking waste bags left out.suggest this could be avoided by providing bins with lids for rubbish. Apart from that an enjoyable stay.
Sheila from Woodley Reading Berkshire (09 September 2016)

Peaceful place to relax and unwind, everything that you could wish for in the lodge to make the stay comfortable.
Alison from Warminster (09 September 2016)

The lodge and retreat resort added to our lovely holiday on the isle of wight; the lodge with its comfort, cleanliness and thoughtful extras upon arrival like a bottle of milk, washing up liquid and dishcloth and the resort with its woodland walk, quiet surroundings and lovely views over the solent. would recommend it.
Linzi from Cannock (06 September 2016)

Had a really lovely stay. It's was my 25th birthday. Spotless and a beautiful location. Only issues I had was there was no washing up liquidoing ( was expecting that this would be included) and bins never got picked up, so had to do this my self. Would have liked to see more useful numbers for reasturants and leaflets on what there is to do on the island. I would stay again though.
Sadie from Oulton Broad (06 September 2016)

Lovely location enjoyed break. Will be returning
Alison from Port Talbot. Wales (05 September 2016)

A lovely clean and quiet location with access to a pebbly beach. wi fi is not perfect but it does work sometimes.
Customer 24 from Guildford (02 September 2016)

This was our first stay at this park and were very impressed with the quality of the chalet, the beautiful grounds and the great sea view. Our grandchildren were overjoyed to have wi and we all loved the easy access foreshore - great for beach combing. The hot tub was a great favourite.
Susan from Kingsdown, Deal (02 September 2016)

Great views over the solent and nice quiet location. Would recommend visiting again.
Amy from Rugby (02 September 2016)

All in all my family and I had a fantastic holiday. The accommodation was fantastic, we had a sea view which was incredible. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. . the location of the retreat is great, and could be easier to get to from the fishbourne port. . the hot tub was amazing, and is the main thing that my children have been telling everyone about. . the on-site restaurant was surprisingly excellent. They have quite a small menu, but what they do serve is very good, and would definitely recommend it. We did not manage to go to the two al-fresco restaurants but heard that they were good also. . I only have two minor only gripes. One was that it took 3 days to get a plug in the bathroom so my son could have a bath, this was despite daily phone calls reception to remind them. Secondly the wifi is not very good (i appreciate this is quite often the case in most hotels) but we were not even able to stream netflix or iplayer. That said, there was more than enough to keep the kids entertained with the lovely touch of board games and a nintendo wii. . hopefully we will be back soon.
Alan from Clifton, Bedfordshire (02 September 2016)

Couldn't ask for a better location, with a private beach to relax on to chilling out in the hot tub just wonderful. The lodges were very comfortable clean modern excellent appliances. Start the day with a walk on the beach end the day in the hot tub perfect. Why go abroad when you have this on your door step. Couldn't recommend even a visit
David from Plymouth (02 September 2016)

Stayed in lodge 35 at woodside coastal. Stunning views. Lovely lodge and well stocked with the essentials. Only slight negative is the decking and outside furniture was covered in bird poo and cobwebs that had definitely been there for a while when we arrived and I spent 20 minutes cleaning all down. Ate at the braai. Lovely food and service
Claire from Northampton (02 September 2016)

Lovely place but no facilities needs a shop and a few too many wasps
Mark from Bedworth (29 August 2016)

The lodge it self was stunning and beautiful and had a good view of the sea, however it was clear that as many lodges had been squashed onto this sight as possible to clearly make as much money as possible. There was no privicy, every side you looked out on there was another lodge on top of you with noisy families. Retreat it wasnt, noise everywere from other lodges because they were to close. Was very surprised as was expecting a lovely quiet stay in a retreat and we got the opposite.
Michelle from London (22 August 2016)

Beautiful site and great, luxurious lodge. Towels and bathrobes lovely. . a bit chaotic at reception when checking in at 4pm. We were forgotten about until my husband reminded them we'd been waiting outside. . no one explained the braii or when you could order a pizza. . we did book for the braii but weren't told we would have to share a table. We wouldn't have booked if we'd known. . some staff training needed I feel.
Alison from West Mids (22 August 2016)

One of the best accommodation and site we have stayed at
Emily (22 August 2016)

Beautiful lodge with great amenities
Mark (22 August 2016)

Needs a swimming pool! also, didn't appear to be stuff like milk or bread in the shop.
Simon from Ashford (15 August 2016)

Lovely peaceful location. Everything you could possibly need included in lodge. More spaces needed for parking if you take 2 cars which in a 6 person lodge was frequently the case but that's a minor gripe. No hesitation in recommending this location. Expect to return in the future.
David from Broxbourne (15 August 2016)

We had a really nice holiday as a family. Loved the close proximity of the beach and the whole place was really friendly and easy. . . when we left at the end of our week, we accidentally left a few items behind. When I called and explained, 'frankie' I think who answered the phone at reception was really kind and helpful. . . the items we'd forgotten arrived in the post at home a few days later and we weren't even asked to pay the postage. That was really great customer service and a nice touch at the end of the holiday, it illustrated that the emphasis of the staff was about the quality of our experience. We were made to feel valued and welcome. . . thanks simon and family.
Simon from Cambridge (15 August 2016)

Just reception staff spoilt this, as we arrived 30 minutes before check-in time to be firmly told we could not check in until 4pm, only for me to then observe other families being welcomed with open arms, handed their keys and off they went to their accommodation. They hadn't checked which accommodation I was booked into at that point. I know the details say 4pm but all other sites I have been to have been ready by 3pm; reception could have handled this better. To parents of young children, please remind them of the peace and tranquility of the site. I was woken at 8am on sunday morning to a child riding their scooter up and down the decking, creating a thumping sound! my children were young once too.
Kathy from Banbury (15 August 2016)

A beautiful quiet site.
Caroline from Bury St Edmunds (15 August 2016)

Fantastic stay again we love returning back it was our second stay at the lodge. The accommodation was missing a few bits like bathrobes, wii control was broken but staff sorted it out for us promptly. We will definitely be returning back again next year with our young family of 3 children thank you.
Tunay from Hertfordshire (12 August 2016)

Fabulous setting so quiet the lodge itself was clean and comfortable a perfect relaxing retreat we will return
Nigel from Didcot (12 August 2016)

Apart from the terrible rudeness from the pizza/braai staff our holiday at woodside coastal was lovely. The grounds/maintenance team were terrific! i'd recommend this retreat but tell them to eat out!
Rachael from Thrapston (12 August 2016)

A very enjoyable week. A peaceful location as the name of the resort suggests with lovely views over the solent.
Peter from Horsham (12 August 2016)

Lovely relaxing break.
Susan from Redhill (12 August 2016)

Retreat is the right word; a mile and a half down a frankly shocking road to find an idyllic location, so quiet and tranquil. . the site itself was lovely, very quiet and secluded, it was so lovely to have a cup of tea sat on the deck looking out over the solent. We had a folder left for us with information in about the resort. It gave the three dining options but it would have been nice to have a sample menu with prices included to help us decide if we wished to make a booking, we decided not to bother. I had intended to book for a massage but again there was no information to help me make a decision and as we had to drive to the spa, I didn't bother. Could have done with a little shop on site for milk, bread, papers etc.
Paula from Swindon (12 August 2016)

Lack of facilities on site, but a nice relaxing break. Issues initially, but staff sorted them. wifi doesn't work and had constant problems trying to connect as there is no phone signal in the area
David from Somerset (08 August 2016)

We were promised a bottle of free wine and we told the manager this should have been provided by horesons. we did not get the bottle of wine for the fact the booking staff put wrong date for return ferry the company tired to threaten use to cancel your holiday if we did not pay £18. I will be complaining to the regulator as the whole process has been stressful. The customer service terrible.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (08 August 2016)

We had a lovely stay at woodside coastal retreat, we have two very young children and it worked really well for them and when they were in bed we chilled out in the hot tub! gorgeous location, lodges are really nice and have everything you could ever want and need. We will definitely be staying again!
Karen from Basingstoke (08 August 2016)

Stunning accommodation sited close to the beach with a great sea view. The site was brand new site and everything was perfect. . . well positioned for easy access to every part of the island although sited too far to walk into the main town so you always needed to use a car. . would definitely book again. A beautiful site.
Allison from Godmanchester (06 August 2016)

A fantastic lodge & holiday thank you. We have & will continue to recommend this holiday.
Sophie from Norwich (06 August 2016)

Fantastic lodge in a great location. Area was quiet however great facilities ie restaurant and small shop. Only thing missing was bus stop was a 2 mile walk!!
Brendan from Bristol (06 August 2016)

Beautiful location with stunning views across the solent . a fabulous place for couples and would be lovely for honeymooners . very little for children to do but it clearly states it is a coastal retreat and a quiet and comfortable holiday to do as much or as little as you want . it was a surprise holiday for my husband's 40th birthday . we will cherish the memories of this holiday and hope to come back in a few years together .
Lauren from Melton Mowbray , Leicestershire (05 August 2016)

Lovely site, lovely lodges. Great location really close to ferry at fishbourne!
Rebecca from Bristol (05 August 2016)

I felt the lodge we stayed in was a little tired and could definitely have been cleaned to a higher standard.
Allison from Stratford Upon Avon (05 August 2016)

Great accommodation, lovely place to stay very relaxing generally very high standard
Alison (01 August 2016)

The accomodation was clean and comfortable. There was a nice little welcome pack waiting for us. The only problem we had was access, as the gates seemed to be closed at random times and there was a long delay in anyone answering the call button. Overall it was very good and we would happily recommend it.
Timothy from Tonbridge (01 August 2016)

Lovely place. well thought out facilities. excellent location. loved woodland and proximity to the sea. beautiful walks. incredible views from the beach.
Andy from Maidstone (30 July 2016)

Absolutely loved this place can't wait to come back.
Louisa from Chesterfield (30 July 2016)

Only minor complaint was finding numer of lodge and also for size only one car park space
Phyl from West Sussex (30 July 2016)

We had a brilliant stay! fabulous lodge with a hot tub made all the better with the super crisp and white bedding and towels. I think you can tell a lot about a place by the bedding and towels and these were amazing. The grounds are beautiful and quiet and mainly inhabited by families which made it easier as our children made many friends for the week. . . a great place that I would totally recommend to others for a nice peaceful week away.
Kerry (29 July 2016)

Well-appointed lodge in a fabulous location with lovely beach and woodland walks. Highly recomended!
Phil from Frankfurt, Germany (29 July 2016)

Lodge was clean and well equipped, location of ours was enhanced by the ones either side being empty, otherwise there would have been little privacy especially on the balcony. We tried to eat onsite the first evening, however, as we had our dog with us we could only use the patio area of one restaurant, but although there were tables with no reserved signs, we were told we would have to wait for two hours if we wanted to eat. It would have been nice to have been advised to book the restaurant when we checked in. A lot more could have been made of the beach as quite frankly it was awful, littered with outlet pipes, metal rods, cables, I walked the dog there but wouldn't have wanted my kids playing there. Plenty of nice pubs though, particularly the fishbourne a couple of miles away.
Dave from Brighton (29 July 2016)

Beautiful lodge.park is well maintained and very clean.very relaxing and we were lucky to have a sea view.a pool on site would be achieve a 10/10.
Bev from Caerphilly (29 July 2016)

Probably one of the best holidays we have ever had, location, setting and lodge all were fantastic. just a couple of little downsides, no darwin duck in our lodge which was a disappointment to our children and our hot tub was not checked each day and the water had started to change colour by the end of the week. we most definately want to come back again though.
Jodie from Essex (25 July 2016)

Great attention to detail..lovely break!
Melissa from Bicester (23 July 2016)

It was a lovely place, I do believe they should look into putting a child's playground on site!
Valerie from Kent (23 July 2016)

We had 2 lodges for 11 family members and had a great time. Lodges are lovely, very spacious, nice kitchen & bedrooms with good bedlinen & towels. Hot tubs are great. Beach not great but our little ones loved looking for crabs etc. We did go out and about every day anyway. We did think it would benefit from having a small shop selling essentials, milk, bread, newspapers etc. Tesco`s wasn't far away but too far to walk. Bar was nice with good play area for the children.
Lynda from Norwich (23 July 2016)

The lodge was fantastic, hot tub a must!. found the staff to be helpful on reception but the staff in the restaurant were a bit inexperienced. We waited over an hour for our main course. They didn't even check to see if we had finished our starter, I had to go and ask where our food was. There were only 4 tables occupied at the time. Location fantastic, scenery beautiful. Plenty to do for kids and adults. Loved it!
Robyn from Louth (18 July 2016)

Brilliant;gorgeous place,we will return.
Joan from Lincolnshire (16 July 2016)

Woodside coastal retreat is a fantastic place to relax and explore the island during your stay. The site is clean with lots of walks in the area, in the small wooded areas and the beach. We went 2nd - 15th july 2016 and we almost had the place to ourselves, not many people about.
Garry from Southend On Sea (16 July 2016)

Brilliant venue and facilities first class; couple of issues - need instructions for equipment eg dishwasher, washing machine, cooker also jacuzzi - great safety instructions but no actual on/off etc!. suggest that at least one of the food venues provide take away/ delivery!. will definitely come again.
Rosemary from London (15 July 2016)

The on site food and supplies were disappointing. The beach at low tide wasn't very pleasant
Claire from Coventry (11 July 2016)

Very peaceful and relaxing.
Georgina from Essex (10 July 2016)

Lovely lodge overlooking the sea excellent standard great hot tub needs a few more facilities pool would make it perfect
Angela from Essex (09 July 2016)

We were a party of 4 staying in a top spec spacious 3 bedroom lodge with 2 bathrooms and hot tub at the beginning of july. The site is quite remote and quiet, by the beach - which is what we wanted, with fabulous views over the solent. The finish in the lodges is to a very high standard, I could quite happily have moved in permanently. . as it was early july not all of the facilities were available at the adjacent site, but again what we saw was very high spec. We had a couple of problems in the lodge, hence only awarding 9 out of 10, but, the staff were very professional and resolved all issues as soon they were brough to their attention. . the hot tub is brilliant, and we had loads of thick fluffy towels plus robes. Absolutely the only improvement would have been for a rail to assist the less able bodied members of our party getting in and out of the hot tubs as they are sunk into the veranda. We had a great time and will be back. I've already recommended to friends one of whom has booked for a stay next month.
Caroline from Welwyn (09 July 2016)

Excellent lodges very clean. Nice secluded location. The owners need to start thinking about maintenance of the lodges. They are great quality but already small things starting to degrade - light bulbs needing replacing, bathroom sealant needing refreshing. It would be a shame if they just let the finish degrade. We were under the impression that one could rent dvds from reception. There was no sign of this and reception isn't staffed in the evenings. Also a shame that there is very little for kids, not even a playground. Aside from those niggles we had a lovely stay and would go back again.
Richard (09 July 2016)

The cabin was a bit overlooked on the hot tub, and next door kitchen looked over our balcony. The view to the front was beautiful and overlooked the sea, weather was stunning!!! the restaurant was amazing and the food was fantastic, we overlooked the sea as we were eating our dinner and the children played on the grass in front of us. Would definitely go back again
Louise from Warwickshire (04 July 2016)

Had a wonderful holiday at woodside, the lodge was immaculate everything had been well thought out, tv in each of the three bedrooms, spacious lounge /diner / kitchen, the en-suite bedroom was lovely. The view from the lodge looked out to the sound, it was lovely sitting on the large veranda watching the shipping.
Barbara from Cambridge (02 July 2016)

Excellent - wonderful lodge, near the sea and the port and close to many activities - we've already booked to go back next year!
Jason from Surrey (02 July 2016)

You cannot beat the view however would not stay in this lodge again. Decking rendered useless with all the leaves and such covering it also made hot tub unusable
Laura from Northampton (25 June 2016)

An amazing find, we are definately going to return
Vicki from Hook (24 June 2016)

We had a great stay at woodside coastal retreat. Beautiful setting with a sea view. The park was very quiet and peaceful. Lodges were almost new and the hot tub was a fantastic addition. We visited with our 10 month old daughter and the park was perfect for this.
John from Fareham (24 June 2016)

We love it here, but it is getting really expensive so we won't be going back anytime soon. . our last visit marred by smoke from nearby fires coming across the site on a daily basis
Stephanie from Stevenage (18 June 2016)

Didn't want to come home. No complaints, everything was lovely and the staff great. Any problems with the accommodation they sorted it as soon as it was convenient for you. Lovely surroundings and great facility's .
Wendy from Radcliffe (18 June 2016)

Fantastic nice and peaceful which we wanted. It was lovely and quiet and the accommodation was unbelievabley clean and kept clean. . I would go back to this accommodation next year.
Karen from Thatchama (17 June 2016)

We have been twice before and this time stayed in the tennyson lodge but was not as roomy as previous accomodation
Debbie from Oxford (17 June 2016)

Totally amazing ive recommended it to everyone I know.
Sharon (17 June 2016)

Would recommend this place & want to return again soon.
Jane from Gosport (13 June 2016)

Very near the ferry terminal and a lovely quiet site, which is what we needed! bit disappointed how close the lodges are to each other, and that we were at the 'back' of the site, with limited views of the sea. I would imagine that the closer lodges had great views.
Ruth from London (12 June 2016)

We stayed at woodside coastal retreat for my birthday, and what a treat it was! the osborne premier lodge was pure luxury, with sea views, comfy furnishings and a hot tub on the balcony. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the park itself was in an immaculate condition. The site is easily accessible from east cowes ferry terminal and close to fishbourne and ryde. I will definitely be returning in the future and would recommend this site to all of my family and friends.
Karen from Redditch (10 June 2016)

Lovely stay at woodside, the accommodation was excellent and the view from lodge 28 superb! there was a waste/sewage area just a stones throw from our lodge however, and whilst it was all secured with fencing, there was an intermittent smell at certain times of the day.
Jo from Bristol (10 June 2016)

Really relaxing holiday, park clean, tidy and well located
Pam from Much Wenlock (04 June 2016)

Very nice accommodation and very relaxing.
Russell from Cardiff (04 June 2016)

Lovely place. No entertainment, which was fine for us as with three young children, we were out all day and relaxed back in the lodge in the evenings. Fantastic location - 2 mins walk to beach and great view of the solent and passing ships from balcony, which my 2 year old loved! . . well equipped and immaculate lodge - well worth the money. We can't wait to come back!
Heidi from Buckinghamshire (04 June 2016)

Excellent accommodation, tidy, clean, well maintained and very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to book.
Steven from Croydon (03 June 2016)

A very modern park. Full of little touches that make your experience special. Staff all very friendly from reception to the guy collecting the rubbish. I will definitely try to return at some point.
Wayne from Benfleet (03 June 2016)

We had a issue with our accommodation and the staff moved us into another lodge the next morning. Very helpful staff and fantastic accommodation, staff and park.
James from Croydon, London (28 May 2016)

The best I have stayed in,the staff are exceptional and help to make the holiday special, I hope to go back again.
Terry from Bristol (28 May 2016)

We went as a family of 4 and it was excellent, accommodation was very clean roomy and modern. Hot tub was a great addition. The location was brilliant as well we were close to everything and it was very peaceful and relaxing.
Lindsey from Norwich (27 May 2016)

Lovely peaceful setting the lodge was luxury clean had everything we needed and the hot tub was fantastic. The private beach was great especially at sunset
Hayley from Peacehaven (27 May 2016)

Couple of slight issues initially on arrival but staff couldn't of been more helpful. Situated in a good location. Very peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely look to book here again
Adam from Birmingham (21 May 2016)

It was a really nice retreat and I would recommend it :) the only thing I would say is that the hot tubs are not the correct temperature as they should keep you warm, and I was freezing sitting in there
Lauren (16 May 2016)

Lovely short break with the girls. Would throughly recommend to anyone. I'm looking to go back with my husband and family.
Ericka from Gosport (15 May 2016)

Perfect getaway with luxury feel
Kate from Caterham (13 May 2016)

We had the most amazing break and will most certainly be coming back. The lodge was beautiful. Thank you.
Laura from Harlow (13 May 2016)

Beautiful, spotlessly clean lodges that you can take the dog to! hot tubs are great- lovely to relax in after a busy days exploring!!
Claire from Birminghsm (13 May 2016)

We had a great time, and the only reason I have scored lower on the surroundings is because there were building works. Otherwise lovely xxx
Felicity (08 May 2016)

This place was a spectacular find. Booked last minute and out of season so amazing value. Tranquil. Lovely beach. Brilliant staff. We will definitely be coming back!!
Colin from Bedfordshire (06 May 2016)

We really love this place will certainly go again when we can. love the accommodation but most of all love the area .. just think it is lovely there.
Cynthia (29 April 2016)

Beautiful surroundings and a great place to stay! we chose the retreat for it's location and the great reviews for my mum's 60th birthday and we weren't disappointed! the little beach and rock pools were a bonus and we enjoyed walking down to it even in the rain!. plus, all the staff we spoke to went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
Ali from Hertfordshire (25 April 2016)

This was our second visit to woodside as it is a lovely ,well kept site with lovely views of the solent.unfortunately it was spoilt on our last evening by a group of thoughtless individuals in an adjacent lodge partying to the early hours.unsatisfactory reply from management even though I went to the top from whom I was expecting a reply but never recieved. Such a shame as we really liked the site.
Paul from Bordon Hants (23 April 2016)

Perfect lodge and perfect location. . the lodge exceeded our expectations, it had everything that you needed and the hot-tub was an added bonus. . would definitely recommend.
Sally-Ann from Isle Of Wight (11 April 2016)

Love this place, wonderful relaxing base to explore the island.
Emma from Berkshire (09 April 2016)

Check in was awful. Having to wait for 45 mins with three young kids because none of the lodges were ready was not the best start to the holiday. Otherwise we had a lovely time
Brad (28 March 2016)

Great place to go
Tomas (28 March 2016)

Beautiful accommodation
Cherry from Portsmouth (28 March 2016)

Great location and everything we needed from a holiday. Very relaxing but it would have been better if the gate to the park opened automatically or residents were given the code to open the gates as we had to keep phoning reception to open them and at times waiting nearly 5 minutes to get onto the park.
Nicola from Oxford (26 March 2016)

We had a fantastic week and to top it off the lodge was beautiful, we even had a pint a milk, bottle of water and a box of goodies and a little pink duck :-) will definitely be visiting again!
Coral from Didcot (26 March 2016)

Had a lovely time - really clean accommodation and great hot tub! a few 'finishing touches' over looked. Wi-fi didn't work for a few days, bed was broken, bin hadn't been emptied by cleaners and not enough plates for all guests. Also only 1 available parking space for a place that sleeps 6 is not adequate. But was well worth the price we paid.
Jennifer from Milton Keynes (26 March 2016)

Very quiet and a 5 minute drive into main town to the shops.
Damion from Bedworth (26 March 2016)

Beautiful and peaceful location, close to everything. . really friendly and helpful staff . . cannot wait to come back!
April from Kent (25 March 2016)

The hot tub lodge was lovely and really peaceful. The only let down was the bird poo everywhere on our decking and windows. It wasn't nice walking through it to get out the hot tub! also no wifi as it was down the whole trip. We did feedback to the resort about these issues but had no response.
Laura (25 March 2016)

We booked this lodge in a january sale quite cheap. I would be happy to pay more!! clean, spacious (for a holiday home) and the hot tub with 3 kids was amazing!!. we will definitely be coming back!
Melanie from Oxford (25 March 2016)

Loved it the only thing we wish we were told was that there was a spa on site as we would have used it!! never mind, we will definatley come again so peaceful and the hot tub was amazing
Claire from Coventry (21 March 2016)

1) lack of hot water for a bath. 2) only 1 controller for the wii. . great accommodation and area. Would need a car though and would need to be right at the front on the sea for best money's worth. We were number 22 and the view was beautiful. Would have been disappointed to have been further up. Brilliant stay
Hayley from Southampton (21 March 2016)

The site is nice and is on a small stony beach, if the weather was warm it would be nice. Not a lot else to do on the site, there's a restaurant on the adjoining site and they are building 2 more restaurant presently. It's more for a quiet break. All in all we were very happy with our stay although I would not pay the summer price which is more than triple of what we paid in march
Helen from London (21 March 2016)

Absolutely lovely place quiet and perfect location however as fairly new not much on site ..would have benefitted from a kids indoor soft play but had a fabulous stay clean location and lovely beach
Kimberley from Colchester (19 March 2016)

Lovely location.
Amanda from Northampton (18 March 2016)

My wife and I had a really pleasant relaxing 4 days. Possibly just a little something to do in the evenings would be good. I am not talking full on entertainment but a more relaxing bar area away from the reception maybe.
Brian from Poole (18 March 2016)

Return visit and once again accomodation and staff excellent however roadworks/building next door caused lots of issues getting to the resort! queues of traffic, waiting/avoiding construction vehicles. if we return we will firstly check that nearby building/road traffice has been completed!
Cjc from Dorset (18 March 2016)

Such a beautiful location and a lovely lodge, it was a home away from home with the added bonus of a hot tub! awful road to the park, full of pot holes, but I assume as the building work gets completed, this will be dealt with. We would love to return in the future but it is unlikely that we will get the chance since the prices have been increased, due to woodland bay opening next door.
Laura from Basingstoke (18 March 2016)

As always woodside was lovely, however the reception staff were very rude and unhelpful , the lodge was great but only had soap etc in one bathroom, and the speed humps are so high you can damage your car, we saw one car that had lost its engine oil on the speed bumps, a great place to stay but needs work , it has gone down hill since last year !!
Mark from Sunbury (14 March 2016)

We loved our stay at woodside coastal retreat, couldn't fault anything would totally recommend. We hope that we will be able to visit again for a longer period.
Mark (14 March 2016)

Had an absolutely fantastic time here! even though they were massive building works going on it didn't matter. The builders were friendly and helpful and we weren't at all disrupted. Amazing place, incredible lodge and hot tub! we got a deal and got more than half price off which made it even better. As soon as I left I wanted to go back! already looking for our next deal!!
Bethne from Gloucestershire (13 March 2016)

We always have a lovely time at woodside and no doubt we will be back soon.
Jimbo from London (12 March 2016)

It would have been nice to inform customers that there is a whole new complex being built right next door whilst you are staying. If I had known I would have booked somewhere else. I was disappointed with this as I had booked it for a quiet short break not to hear the noise of workmen from 8am in the morning. And as for the access whilst construction traffic goes up and down! it took me 25mins just to leave the complex one morning! . . the accommodation itself was great and the location was good although I felt like they had squeezed in as many lodges as possible in a small area.
Customer 136 from Hampshire (11 March 2016)

To many lodges, service not as good.great last year when only a small site.
Christopher from Staffordshire (11 March 2016)

Woodside coastal retreat was a great place to visit with lovely surroundings. Overall I would rate the experience highly
Kerry from Southampton (07 March 2016)

A great place to spend a holiday. Everything about the resort is first class. And once the landscaping gets established it will be even better.
Margaret from Upper Beeding. West Sussex. (07 March 2016)

A great weekend and the accomodation exceeded expectations, a lovely lodge with some great extras, would definately stay again if we were able to get the same offer.
Diana from Headley Down (07 March 2016)

Amazing value beautiful lodge!
Lucy (07 March 2016)

Lovely, location and setting, just hope the road is resurfaced in the near future. Will definitely be back
Maria from Isle Of Wight (04 March 2016)

I absolutely love this place. Check in girls amazing. Lodge outstanding clean i'm terrible about other people's hair I search wherever I stay it's a phobia and didn't find any and trust me I looked. . comfortable. Stunning. Well equipped. Staff polite and helpful. Site immaculate. Location perfect. Dog friendly which is a must for us. I loved this holiday so much I cried when I left. Have booked again for november would like to stay in july for hubby and my 20th anniversary but it's out of our price range but hopefully a bargain will come up. Could live there forever if it was allowed. This is now going to be our forever holiday home.
Russell from Thorney Cambs (27 February 2016)

Very happy with all aspects and we were only 500 yards from the beach, so perfect for dog walking and great hot tubs after our days out. Spa could do with a sauna and hot tub, but I gather it's only just opened and there are plans for improvement there. Approach road could do with an overhaul (please lobby local council) but once we were 'on site' it was perfect and was excellent value for money. Plenty of local facilities and 'proper' fish and chips from the local chippy (less than a mile from lodge) and a great breakfast at the pub at the end of the road.
Peter from Luton (26 February 2016)

We spent fri to mon here. Osborne premier view (no. 27). lovely place, location by the water, accommodation clean, warm and had everything we needed. Wi-fi had a good connection, blu-ray player, wii with a couple of games, board games - could easily spend the whole weekend in the lodge! welcome pack with tea, coffee,. hot choc, biscuits, croissants, jam, butter, milk & oj which was a nice touch! our lodge was part of the older site so was a shame not to be near to main reception but was in close walking distance so not a problem. Could be signed up better and roads were a bit rough (pot holes, etc.) aside from this though it was worth the money as there's so much to do on the island and not far to travel to attractions. Restaurant had lovely food and set-up so well worth a visit. Staff were friendly and welcoming too. There's not much in the way of a "shop" on site but there's a big tesco, sainsbury's and morrisons about 20min drive away. Great location for the ferry too only a 10-min drive and the hot tub was great; perfect for privacy with frosted glass on the balcony and staggered lodges, no-one drastically overlooking each other. Hot tub was checked twice a day though 10-12 then 1-3 (although we was out so didn't know if it had been) but seemed a bit excessive giving you limited times to use the hot tub. We had a fantastic break all in all though and have even booked for this summer with family.
Katy from London (22 February 2016)

The staff were very helpful. It was good value for money because it was off-season.
Felix from Thames Ditton (22 February 2016)

What a little treasure of a place. I have been going to the isle of wight for many years but have to say this is one of the nicest places I have stayed. The accommodation was amazing.
Diana from Reigate (22 February 2016)

When new development is finished it will be brilliant . pity about the state of new road up from wootton bridge
Frank from Chichester (20 February 2016)

Lovely and clean very nice and relaxing environment to be in
Nicholas from Peterborough (19 February 2016)

We loved our stay at woodside costal retreat, the lodge was gorgeous, the setting was beautiful, we loved the jacuzzi and would absolutely stay again, we would have liked a bit of information in the welcome pack on local things to do and what was available to do on site, or perhaps a folder could be placed in the accommodation of places to visit, local restaurants, takeaways, parks, walks etc..
Sarah from Bidford On Avon (19 February 2016)
