A beautiful place in beautiful tranquil surroundings outstanding accommodation with plenty of utensils staff only to pleased to help, would give 10 for value for money but it is really expensive and for some reason price has increased quiet significantly .
Lisa from Ilkeston (08 September 2018)

Lovely lodge on a superb location. Didn’t use the central facilities so can’t comment on those. We did’nt have salt and pepper, (both empty). asked reception to replace, and ended up buying our own.
Dennis from Southampton (08 September 2018)

I didn’t feel like our premier lodge was top of the range. It looked quite worn already, not super clean and the hot tub was broken..
Jack (03 September 2018)

Enjoyable stay and good location.
Customer 4 from London (03 September 2018)

Well equipped and comfortable lodge. Fantastic views and perfect for a relaxed break.

Rebecca from Faversham (24 August 2018)

Excellent place
James from Bristol (24 August 2018)

No electricity for 24hrs with 3 young children and a very unhelpful lady on reception.
Catherine (24 August 2018)

Lodge was not very clean - the two settee's where so dirty did not want to sit on them so we covered them with towels! during the entire stay. hot tub was great! site nice and peaceful - loved the woodland walk and private beach area.
Jane from Essex (24 August 2018)

Good
Sivan from Hatfield (24 August 2018)

Good location and lodge very well equipped
Paul from Braintree (24 August 2018)

Beautiful location, clean, quiet a stones throw from the sea. I didn’t want to leave
Diane from Northfleet (24 August 2018)

The lodge was dirty. The surfaces were all sticky. Spent 2hours trying to clean it. . not good enough!
Shirley from Chichester (20 August 2018)

The place is so nice, we enjoyed our holiday.
Bishwaanjan (20 August 2018)

Really great location. Clean, well maintained villas and grounds. Needed a bit more crockery, but we survived!!
Simon from Ashford (20 August 2018)

Just brilliant. Loads of room to spread out and relax
David from Stevenage (20 August 2018)

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in iow! the lodge was fantastic - the hot tub a huge hit with the children & the surroundings tranquil for us all.
Vicky (13 August 2018)

Had a superb holiday staying in a osborne view premier. Great location right next to the shingle beach looking out across the solent. Very quiet and relaxing with a great hot tub and table and chairs to sit and watch all the ships come past on our veranda. Lodge and site clean and tidy, with everything you need. Good restaurant on the main site only a 5 minute, beautiful woodland walk away, serving excellent food. Kids loved rock pooling when the tide went out each day, also having a large lawned area by the bar and restaurant where they can play. Overall can not fault anything, with the whole complex far exceeding our expectations. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a very relaxing, quiet, family holiday.
Steve from Bridgwater (13 August 2018)

Beautiful place. Quiet and clean and the people were friendly. Would come back again
Caroline (13 August 2018)

Fabulous accommodation, very high standard, lovely location for the lodge with great views of the solent and portsmouth. Good location for visiting cowes, ryde, robin hill, osbourne house.
Angela (13 August 2018)

Very disappointing, didn't expect to have to have to clean the accommodation before we could use it.
Sue (10 August 2018)

The lodge itself was well maintained and set in beautiful surroundings. The club house however was not great. The food was poor quality, the staff didn’t really want to help, the reception desk was only manned until 5pm and after that younger staff were about chatting around the bar. A shame really, as the setting and hot tub were fab.
Melissa from Northampton (06 August 2018)

Excellent all round package
Neil from Liverpool (06 August 2018)

Amazing location. Staff really helpful. Great lodges.
Kerrie from Merseyside (06 August 2018)

Great place to stay on the island. Plenty of space for 8 adults in our lodge plus the hot tub was lovely. 2 problems we had were sorted within 10 mins. Super friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
Rachael from Northamptonshire (04 August 2018)

Lovely location and spacious lodges, though showing some wear, damaged rattan table and some chipped furniture. Overall lovely though, v spacious, with dishwasher and washing machine
Sarah from Barnstaple Devon (30 July 2018)

Woodside coastal retreat is a wonderful peaceful setting. The lodge we had was very comfortable and the hot tub was a wonderful edition that the whole family enjoyed. Our only issue was facilities to eat. They had one restaurant which was nice but not affordable to eat in too often and sometimes with a set menu of two/three courses when all you wanted was a quick meal at the end of a busy day sightseeing. Then some nights they had a outside pizza bar which was horrendously busy on the nights we were there and understaffed, they just couldn't cope and we waited over an hour for a pizza. Eating options was truly lacking and disappointing as it's such a wonderful setting we would of liked to eat there more often. We also had a spa treatment and the staff there were very helpful and the massage was very good.
Lucinda from Staines (23 July 2018)

Great place, beautiful & relaxing! bit of an expensive holiday! staff very helpful (only reason didn't give a 10 is you cannot get hold of anyone if you need to call reception!)
Jo from Leicestershire (23 July 2018)

Fantastic service from the moment we arrived! and the coastal retreat location was perfect and views was great! was a lovely, quiet and relaxing stay.would highly recommend!
Matthew from Oxford (23 July 2018)

On arrival at our lodge it was clear it had not been properly cleaned and no welcome pack had been left for us either. We complained to reception who sent a welcome pack but we had to spend an hour of our first night cleaning the lodge before we could unpack as it soon became apparent no cleaners were available. We complained again the next day and were given a £50 voucher to spend either in the spa or restaurant. Cleaners also did visit the following day but obviously by then we had pretty much done everything ourselves. We decided to use the voucher and have a meal at the onsite restaurant on the friday night of our stay (the first friday of peak season). the restaurant was understandably busy but severely understaffed with one waitress doing her very best but clearly under considerable pressure. We were lucky that our food arrived relatively quickly - others were not so lucky and we watched several families wait about an hour for their food. The menu, however, was exceptionally limited and (apart from pizza which you had to order and collect separately from the pizza oven across the terrace) there was only one other choice for vegetarians - a veggie burger. We visited here two years ago and had such a good time that this was the reason we returned this year. Although we love the isle of wight I i don't think we'll be returning to this resort again.
Aimee (23 July 2018)

Very nice location. . booking needs to be straightforward.
As from Booking Needs To Be Straightforward. (23 July 2018)

Nice secluded location on the island, with excellent views of the solent. Our premier lodge (no 27) was comfortable with enough room for 2 adults comfortably. Although this had apparently been refurbished the previous year there were signs of wear and tear, but overall was ok. Short walk to pebble beach and to main resort to access restaurant, etc. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet location.
Simeon from Northampton (23 July 2018)

Lodge no1 is sited under the branches of 2 big trees. The sun does not get through to the veranda. There is also a lot of sap and tree debris making the outside area dirty. Lodge was poorly cleaned upon arrival. Dirt and dust and dog hair. Cobwebs really disappointed
Robert from Essex (21 July 2018)

Fantastic destination, lovely lodges. . the only negative I could give is that the wii controllers don't all work and usually you have to go to reception for new batteries.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (20 July 2018)

Lovely holiday but check in and first evening meal chaotic as short staffed. . I did feedback this to reception while I was there. The staff on duty were great and knew their stuff and I felt sorry for them as they were doing their best. Needs clear information on process for getting a meal as we were stood in a long queue and guessing why and others weren’t sure when we asked them either but we had to queue to get served! . also, our beds were made very badly with a torn sheet and duvet cover with the open end round the wrong way up by the pillows!
Shirley (20 July 2018)

Beautiful view and location but there is a serious problem with cleanliness!! the floor in our lodge was filthy my children’s feet were black going around barefoot. It would have been cleaner walking around outside!! we also got one bar of soap between us all hardly a toiletries pack!!! it’s advertised as 4* but it is more 3*.
Salah from Southampton (20 July 2018)

Beautiful view but lodge smaller than other lodges on woodside.
Jane (20 July 2018)

We love it here and keep coming back .
Anne (15 July 2018)

Beautiful lodge clean and everything you need for home comforts staff very friendly and the best holiday i’ve had in years. Hot tub was nice after adventures in the day.
Tina from Rotherham (14 July 2018)

Fab place to stay - amazing view with a hot tub. What’s not to like?
Christine from Cardiff (14 July 2018)

Having been to the woodside woodland retreat only a month before with my mother and stayed in a wroxhall 3 bed roomed , which was excellent I wanted to bring my husband to stay in the lodges . we opted for a coastal lodge with a hot tub . location and position of lodge in coastal retreat was excellent . these lodges are a little older than woodland site ones . whilst the bathroom , bedrooms , linens etc were all clean , the kitchen / living area/ french windows had not been cleaned as thoroughly ,so I was slightly disappointed as the cleanliness had been superb in the woodland lodge . so due to this we had ants attracted to the sticky surfaces and crumbs left behind . I did do a little cleaning myself but reported it the next day . it was all dealt with in a few hours and the receptionist was very apologetic . we throughly enjoyed our 4 days there and exploring the iow. The staff in the bar/ restaurant were as friendly as the last time I stayed there . we will definitely be returning to either the coastal retreat or the woodland retreat . my only suggestion is the cleaning and inspection of the older coastal lodges between lettings is more thorough .
Janice (13 July 2018)

Nice location, nice site. Lodge was good size, needs refurb and cleaning was just ok, they had done the basics. Re
Joanne from Walsall (13 July 2018)

I love this place and it is becoming a firm favourite place to stay on the isle of wight.
Deborah from High Barnet (09 July 2018)

Yes a luxury caravan lots of small problems , not great value for two, nice grounds but need improving things like signs..
Anthony from Watford (09 July 2018)

Excellent quiet and peaceful had a wonderful break and sea view was superb. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Would definitely go back again.
Clive (07 July 2018)

Booked as a late deal. Great location , in need of some updating, soft furnishings showing signs of wear and tear, 2 of us stayed in a 4 berth lodge, lounge dining area would have been slightly cramped with 4 adults. Lovely woodland setting downside situated beneath oak trees and outside decking furniture hot tub and balustrade all subject to bird droppings, leaves and heavy tree sap deposits. plenty of useful storage , kitchen really well equipped, close to a shingle beach not great for disabled/ buggy access. Ideally situated for island ferry and sight seeing. Tesco express 5 minute drive , didn’t use the on site restaurant as we were sited on the coastal retreat which is a 10 minute walk away plenty of local places to eat . did have a few maintenance cleaning issues but would return as site is very quiet and would know to request a lodge away from large oak teees , had a great holiday lots to see and close to ferry .
Sue from Cheadle Cheshire (07 July 2018)

Excellent accommodation and location right by the beach.
Clark from Norfolk (06 July 2018)

We stayed for a long weekend & loved the coastal location & views! it was lovely to swim in the sea and cool down in the heat! the lodge was lovely, nice layout & only overlooked by one other lodge.
Lisa from Ryde (02 July 2018)

The accommodation was good, the quality of furniture etc was high. We very much enjoyed and utilised the hot tub, and the location of the site was very convenient to get to places as well as convenient for the ferry. the main reception area was good although we didn't use it much. that the part of the site we were on had no facilities such as restaurant or cafe without having to walk through the woods to the main part. . the quality of the access road (to the site no on it) was also appalling , and whilst this is really the responsibility of the council, it really need improving, especially as it is the only way onto and off the site and so had to be used very frequently.
Malvenia from Rugby (30 June 2018)

It was a fantastic stay with lots of things to do - just wish it had been longer. the route down to the resort could get very congestive but that was the only problem so thank you
Fiona from Cambs (30 June 2018)

Having stayed at woodside on three other occasions we decided to try the coastal retreat area, on arrival we found the accommodation poor compared with with out other stays when we stayed at the nettlestone the comfort and equipment were outstanding and could not believe what was available for the price and would stay there again, this said our stay this time around found the accommodation cramped and a battle to get into the ensuite with walking around the bed, the dining area was restricted with the sofa backing onto it and again having to walk around obstacles to be seated was not what we expected. We will revisit but will not stay at this part of the resort the cost of which was 600 pound more than the nettlestone and was no where near value for money. Furthermore next to our accommodation was what appeared to be a wooden building and within it must have been a dog for we had nothing but constant barking during the day and this area was advertised as tranquil and peaceful but in practice it was far from it.
Tina from Brierley Hill (30 June 2018)

Lovely place.
Maggie from London (30 June 2018)

Woodside coastal retreat was absolutely lovely, the cabin was exactly as seen in the photos and the location was incredibly picturesque and the perfect relaxing location for a holiday. The hot tub was lovely too - we will definitely be returning!
Melissa from Sheffield (29 June 2018)

Can not wait to go again
Andy from Bournemouth (29 June 2018)

We loved it as a family with 2 girls aged 9 &11 it was prefect for us. We were lucky with the weather. . . the only issue was the trees leaving sticky residue all over the cars.
Jessica from Winchester (29 June 2018)

Absolutely perfect. Clean modern amazing accommodation in a beautiful setting.
Edd from Chichester (29 June 2018)

Staff were amazing thx for all the help x
Ian (25 June 2018)

Very quite site. Very relaxing. Hot tub was great. No hassles
Phil from Gloucester (23 June 2018)

This is the 4th time now we have been here and it get better each time great new layout helpful staff relax and unwind great views great lodges
Wayne from Rochester Kent (23 June 2018)

Good location with coastal view and a quiet wooded site. helpful staff in the office. shower facility was poor - difficult to control water temperature. a water leak under the kitchen sink was dealt with quickly when it was reported. dryer function on washing machine did not work.
Roger from West Sussex (22 June 2018)

We had a perfect few days here and will return. Everything in the lodge is of a high quality and it is very well equipped. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The only downside is that dogs are accepted in most lodges.
Patricia from Tunbridge Wells (22 June 2018)

Very satisfied
William from Ashford Kent (22 June 2018)

Excellent site and facilities, however bit disappointed that there was a planned power cut 9-4 on one day and nobody informed us, not even when we check in 2 days before.
Fiona from Rowlands Castle (22 June 2018)

Had an amazing time. Lodge location was fabulous. Would book again if we could bag that spot. Or others we saw.
Angela from Romford (16 June 2018)

We have stayed at this smaller park of the park previously albeit a few years ago and it was excellent, with reception staff based on site. With the expansion of the new larger park I feel that this smaller area has suffered. Our lodge was unlocked on arrival and clearly hadn't been fully finished or cleaned as it was missing simple things like toilet roll and some towels. I took a number of pictures which demonstrate the lack of cleaning and items found under wardrobes and beds such as a single slipper and the previous tenants stray toys. Some parts of the lodge was showing signs of wear and tear and the hot tub wasn't checked on a daily basis as suggested. There were also some noisier visitors to this smaller area and with a lack of staff on site made it harder for this to be dealt with. That said we had a lovely time on the island and will certainly be going back as we have in the past but I would probably stick to the larger site area.
Glenn from Cotswolds (15 June 2018)

Loved our peaceful break
Anna from Southampton (15 June 2018)

Location was good. Beautiful scenery. Tree in front of the lodge I stayed in spoilt the view and was shedding a lot onto the decking area. I found the staff not very helpful and a bit rude.
Peter from Essex (15 June 2018)

Lovely peaceful setting and very good accommodation.
Sandra from Aldershot (11 June 2018)

Amazing short holiday. Great location next to a very pretty beach. Also a perfect beach for crabbing! the lodge was very well equipped and modern. Hot tub was lovely. Apart from the flies! would definitely visit again. . . the staff that travel around on the buggies could be a bit friendlier however. . . overall it was lovely and would recommend to anyone wanted a relaxing break away.
Customer 71 from Guildford (08 June 2018)

Went away with some friends. loved our accommodation and it’s location. had a meal on site in the restaurant absolutely terrible service and meal was poor too. I had steak with mushroom sauce. The sauce was like soup. Had issues with dairy intolerance even after speaking to staff before we went. everything from booking, service and food was terrible so wouldn’t recommend that to anyone. also the on-site shop supplies was very limited. we were lucky there was a tesco express down the road. If onsite facilities were better it would be a brilliant place to go.
Julie (04 June 2018)

A lovely peaceful week!
Sarah from Woking (02 June 2018)

As before, we had a wonderful stay at the retreat. the staff were very helpful, the place was clean and the surrounding area was fantastic. we had a slight hitch the first couple of days we were there though as there was no marking for our car park space and another car was parked there meaning we had to park in someone else's space which caused unnecessary conflict between us and the other visitors. it was eventually rectified and I asked them to pain the number on the pillar which they did. in addition, the shower head came out of the bracket in the main bathroom but nothing major. the hot tub was relaxing and the view across the solent every day was fabulous! would definitely recommend.
Chiara (26 May 2018)

Fantastic weekend get away. Beautiful accommodation just next to the beach so can walk down every night. Marked the value for money down a little as when I looked up half term week it is over £1000 for 4 nights but the week before it's £400 for the same accommodation and nights.
Catherine from Swindon (20 May 2018)

Great relaxing stay
Anthony from Southampton (19 May 2018)

For us, close to car ferry and great for touring. Loved the peaceful location and the views (although limited with our choice of lodge). spacious and comfortable lodge with everything you need. Always love the iow and will no doubt return.
Shirley from Hayling Island (11 May 2018)

We were overlooking the sea in this accommodation. it was great having breakfast while looking out at a beautiful view.
Kelly from Bedford (07 May 2018)

We had a wonderful week's holiday at woodside coastal retreat and the holiday park lived up to all the publicity we had read about it before we went. The holiday park is in a beautiful location, the lodge was comfortable with every convenience required to make it home from home. the staff were friendly and helpful and there was lots of tourist information about local attractions. one of the best holidays we have had and we plan to return again next year.
Rita from Nelson/Lancashire (28 April 2018)

Love this place ...
Cynthia from Northampton (27 April 2018)

Very nice lodge looking out to the solent. A few issues in lodge though. Bath panel taped up, bad brown stains under rim of toilet in bathroom with bath, cobwebs on ceilin in en suite bedroom and clump of black hairs in one of the single. With better cleaning this holiday would have been superb. Quiet and peaceful and lovely location.
Linda from Sutton Surrey (27 April 2018)

Having never stayed in a lodge before, I was delighted by the peace and quite (although the area we stayed in was smaller and less busy). the hot tub was a wonderful addition, and truly added to our stay. . the staff were very friendly, and our little washing machine problem was sorted out asap in a caring manner. . the beginning of the road up to the lodge entrance should be sorted out by the council as it was full of pot holes, and trying to avoid them was dangerous. (i know this is not your problem, but with the advent of summer could become an extreme problem due to traffic flow)
Chrissie from Hythe Kent (27 April 2018)

Spent a week on coastal while having work done on my house I was very happy with lodge it was spotlessly clean and well maintained.i decided to stay another week but I had to move to woodland once again I was very happy with the lodge the only minor gripe was the tv on this park it is an interactive system and it was very poor in that you could not receive a lot of the channels and a loss of signal happened continuously the maintainance man said it was a poor system other than that I have not complaints at all I would highly recommend the site

The lodge had the wow factor when you walked in but the cleaning of the lodge could have been better. Main bathroom toilet smelt of wee all the time. Dinner table had tea stains all over it so you can tell it had not been cleaned. but I would stay there again just bring more cleaning with me!
Joanne (16 April 2018)

Had the best holiday here. Staff are extremely helpful. We will definitely come back!

We had such a great holiday. everything was beyond our expectations!
Mark from Reading (14 April 2018)

Lovely lodge, clean and well equipped. We had a fantastic view of the sea. Reception staff friendly and helpful. We didn't use the restaurant. I think a play area would be a nice addition or maybe even a few dotted around the site. I was on holiday alone with two young children and I would have liked to know night staff were available - there aren't! we had incident with rowdy neighbours at 3am but there's no-one on call. it's very quiet and peaceful, lots of wildlife. It's in a good location too, close to ferry terminals and not far the islands best beaches.
Rachel from Bury (14 April 2018)

It's in a good location too, close to ferry terminals and not far the islands best beaches.
Rachel from Bury (14 April 2018)

Great peaceful location . . hot tub makes the holiday
Suzanne from East Sussex (14 April 2018)

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay. Accommodation was perfect for a family of 4. We enjoyed the hot tub and made the most of all attractions around iow. My one suggestion would be somewhere for breakfast on site? we will definitely be returning!!
Glenn (13 April 2018)

We had a brilliant time 2nd week of the easter holidays even though the weather wasn't great. Boys, aged 10 and 6 loved the hot tub. The lodge was spacious, well equipped, clean and in a great location, tucked away but close to everything north of the island. Nothing is far on the island anyway. Would book again and recommend to others, didn't both us that there wasn't any entertainment on site and loved our sea view
Nicola from Banstead, Surrey (13 April 2018)

Lovely lodge in a great location. Very clean and tidy and big enough for 8. Slightly disappointed with the restaurant offering.
Laura from Rainham, Kent (13 April 2018)

A pleasing but very quiet location and very limited facilities the quality of the lodges was very good
Eric from St.Albans (13 April 2018)

Fantastic location and 5 five minuets from the ferry terminal. Beautiful surroundings and the lodge was comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were all absolutely magnificent and I couldn't praise them more. Thank you all for looking after us when my dad had a stroke and the offer of free accommodation.

Living just over the solent, we wanted to spend some time on the iow. Woodside was ideal, a little more than we wanted to pay especially when you add in the cost of the ferry, I could have flown to spain for what it cost! but we did not let it spoil our holiday :). the lodge was luxurious and the hot tub a relaxing feature. Was disappointed to get there and find a blu-ray the site informed said dvd..i could have bought my game of thrones box set for the raining days!. overall a great relaxing break, highly recommended
Steve from Gosport (06 April 2018)

Had a really brilliant time.the lodge was spacious and really clean.the only downs were the kitchen tap which was a bit loose and the fact that the showers were difficult to regulate. The beds were super comfortable and the bedding was very good quality. The hot tub was very much appreciated. Would really recommend this site.
Janice from London (06 April 2018)

This is a lovely place for a family holiday. we had the premier lodge with hot tub which was great. the only comment I would mention is there were no bath mats and the shower door did not fit the bath properly so I had to use the towels to mop up the floor each time. there was also no mop or bucket which I thought was strange especially when we had a hot tub and were getting in and out quite often. other than that it was a perfect setting and great location

Staff members were not helpful and poor service was provided. Lodges are in badly used condition and it is not worth for the money we paid. Our family has also attended lodges in poole last summer and it was spectacular.
Justina (02 April 2018)

Beautiful lodge in a quiet location. Very modern with beautiful interior. . not much on site, but we knew that when booking. shingle beach short walk away.

Perfect, the only issue was the wii - games were too scratched to play
Liz from Stoke-On-Trent (23 March 2018)

Excellent location and a brilliant break. We stayed in coastal retreat no 28 right on the beach with an amazing view over the solent across to portsmouth. The hot tub was fantastic and the peace / quiet and privacy was just what we needed. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough. We will return and have made a note of all the accommodation with similar views. Just go you will not regret it.

Fabulous first holiday away with our new baby. Great facilities and exactly what we needed. . . a quiet relaxing break. The island was very sleepy since it was off season and not many touristy things open. This is where the lack of clubhouse at woodside was noticed, however, we appreciated the peace and quiet.

Our lodge was beautiful & in a great location. The view out to see was fantastic and the site location is great for the ferry and to access the whole island. . the site spa was lovely but the restaurant was disappointing. Food was very basic and service poor. There isn’t really a shop but tesco express is close. We had a great holiday and love the hot tub!

Amazing place to stay. Lovely views, the lodge is clean and spacious and the hot tub was an added bonus. Would recommend this place to stay!
Lindsey from Eastleigh (23 February 2018)

This was a great holiday home set in a beautiful coastal resort, set over a mile from the nearest main road. It’s tranquil, overlooks the solent, is less than a minutes walk to the beach, is dog friendly, have the most courteous of staff (maintenance as well as reception) and is positioned to get the the most out of the rural woodland in which it is set, and yes, potholes on the unmade track to get to your lodge is all part of the experience. Well done to one and all from booking online, requesting special requirements via call centre, to leaving after the most relaxing week. It surpassed our expectations!

We had a thoroughly lovely week here for half term. hot tub was a massive hit with the whole family. lovely bright lodge, cleverly positioned so that none of them overlooked each other particularly. great surroundings. We loved walking our dog on the beach and through the woodland trail. loads of poo bins, which was great. the staff were so helpful. We had a few little requests throughout our stay and everything was dealt with immediately for us. couldn't ask for better service. we also tried out the spa and both my husband and I had really great massages. I highly recommend this for a family stay.
