Michael from Northampton (29 August 2016)

Excellent holiday. Couldn't fault the lodge in any way. Very clean and tidy it contained everything you needed and more. Very warm and cosy. Loved the milk, biscuits, tea set on arrival ..what a lovely touch after a 6 hour drive. . a farm at the end of the road sold fresh free range eggs every morning and the surroundings were stunning. We don't fish but I imagine it would be a beautiful area to do so with the large lakes and the fisherman we spoke to rated it highly. . lovely owners who live on site. . little park area for the boys was just enough to unwind on after a busy day. . we can't imagine anyone would say a bad thing about this place. . thank you for a lovely holiday. Xx
Lisa from Derbyshire (13 August 2016)

1 word fantastic
Mark from Bedford (13 August 2016)

Great lodges, clean and well maintained. Great location very peaceful. Fishing is excellent.
Adrian from Solihull (30 July 2016)

We had such a good stay, the cabins are much bigger than imagined, the kitchen brilliantly equipped, the welcome basket of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits very much welcomed. It is off the beaten track a little, we used the cabin as a base and then explored the area. I wouldn't hesitate returning. Do not expect any wifi, we went with 3 children, we watched them fly kites, play games, and become children again! waitrose in holsworthy is about 15mins by car, bude is 20 mins away, amazing chinese takeaway in woolley, bude. Highly recommend if you want to just have a time out and relax.
Victoria (29 July 2016)

This is a beautiful location with functional, comfortable accomodation. It's perfect for fishing and peaceful for getting away from it all as there is lots of space. It is a remote location so a bit of driving required. We would have made use of wifi and a dishwasher. A small children's play area but unfortunately we didn't use due to rain. The lodge had a large decking area outside.

Carol from Chatham Kent (16 April 2016)

It's a great location because we went there for the fishing and my husband fished constantly. However, there was nothing nearby for me to do, eg go for a walk without using the car, but we kind of knew that before we got there. so that's fair enough. we had a lovely relaxing time.

We have stayed at wooda lakes over the last three years and would continue to use the beautiful lodges as a base to visit family. the persons responsible for this park are extremely helpful at all times. A very peaceful location to get away from everyday urban life. You do need a car as shops are some distance away also ideal for fishing.

Everything perfect! nothing more to be said, quiet, stunning surroundings, very helpful and good fishing in beautifully kept lakes.
Brian from Pontypool (10 October 2015)

A great holiday once again, helped by a solid week of sunshine. Fishing again spot on. If there is a down side it was that not one of the lodges took our small dog, so it cost us an extra £90 to kennel him.
Susan from Teignmouth, Devon (03 October 2015)

Excellent base for sight seeing the surrounding devon and cornwall area - excellent fishing from all the 5 lakes . our 4th year here , always a warm wellcom and good facilities.

Alison from West Midlands (14 August 2015)

Beautiful site, peaceful and quiet setting.
Kevin from Bicester (14 August 2015)

Wooda lakes really is a slice of heaven, it is off the beaten track so if you want amenities really close to hand this is not the place for you - bude is 15 minutes drive away. however, for us this place was perfect. the lodge was extremely spacious and comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. the site itself is lovely, well maintained and peaceful, with views to die for. there is a small play area which our children - aged 9 and 6 enjoyed using and although we didn't use the fishing lakes they appeared be well stocked and has inspired my husband to take up fishing for our return visit. . overall, we had a wonderful holiday here and are looking forward to returning next year.

This is our 3rd holiday at wooda lakes .amazing accommodation the fishing was fantastic as always. Thanks to rose and colin for a lovely peaceful holiday
Paul from Andover Hants (11 July 2015)

Very quiet ,had the best nights sleep we have had in ages, so if its peace and quiet your after you wont find a better relaxing place than wooda lakes. The only downfall I could say is that there is no wi-fi and I found mobile connection very poor. The fishing is great if you like to catch a fish a cast, but not my cup of tea. But overall had a great relaxing week.
Ann from Newton Aycliffe (11 July 2015)

Was a lovely place to stay, cabin great, clean and well equipped, but we were not fishers so a little remote for us, but we did realise this when it was booked so it was not misleading. we missed wifi too, again great for peace and quiet. . for fishers which is what it is aimed at.
Treena (11 July 2015)

Gillian from Wetherby (06 June 2015)

This place is a gem. Peaceful and beautiful. Untouched by the need to put up restaurants and play-parks, it is just a beautiful spot where you can relax and watch your children get back to being kids again without technology getting in the way. Loved it.

A wonderful place to stay even if you are not a fisherman the lodge is massive and the lakes ( for fishing ) are all very large and well stocked . you are close to many places ie padstow boscastle ( beautiful ) port issac ( port wenn for dr martin fans ) all within an hour even the eden project is fairly close the scenery is amazing and the people are so friendly its the first holiday we have had in uk for 10 years and loved every minute

Catherine from Tewkesbury Gloucestershire (02 May 2015)

Great relaxing holiday
Lyndsey from Slough (11 April 2015)

A nice week, the men enjoyed the fishing. Quiet location, clean, tidy lodge. Some of the pillows had seen better days. and there was a leak under the washing machine, but no major problems. a lot of the wood needed a little tlc and all the windows were draughty but it wasn't a big problem for us.
Julie from Telford (03 April 2015)

Needed a peaceful break and this location and lodge provided it. no clubhouse, no bar, no noise, no uplighting. No traffic noise. Pleasant other holiday makers/anglers looking for the type of peace and quiet this location provided. Hosts were non evasive but helpful when needed. absolutely brilliant. We definitely intend to revisit but the introduction of clubhouse/bar facilities would spoil it for us.
Charles from Midsomer Norton, Near Bath (16 March 2015)

Very clean & tidy. The lakes were very well presented. They were very easy to get to. All of the pegs were clean and tidy and the fishing was brilliant. I had carp to 15lb on a difficult day. Everybody I met had a good sense of humour and were very friendly.
Diane (14 March 2015)

A lovely quiet place, nothing except the sound of the birds. Cannot wait to return again. The fishing was brilliant and all the fish caught (about 200 over 3 days) were in lovely condition. a real credit to rose & colin. Many thanks.

I would go there again in a heart beat , the cabins are excellent and the fishing is none stop catching . the husband and wife who take care of the park are very helpful and such nice people .
Barry from Kent (26 July 2014)

It was very well kept and staff was very helpful
Ronald from Bilston, Wolverhampton (26 July 2014)

A beautiful location and very peaceful. Perfect size of site and after we discovered that there are going to be a lot more lodges built we feel this would affect out decision to go back, if there were 3 or 4 more lodges along the top of the site that would be more than enough. It is a lovely site in a perfect location but we feel this could be ruined if the site is made too big.
Kenneth (26 July 2014)

Very nice area. Unfortunately no where to eat locally . apart from that, very relaxing.
Robert from Aylesbury (19 July 2014)

This is a absolute beautiful, peaceful place .clean tidy relaxing ,everything you need .just the right size for use small but absolutely perfect well done to the people that run it . . just perfect for use

Donna from Cobham (17 May 2014)

Beautiful place to stay. Very clean, with all amneties provided. Staff were very friendly and informative. The only thing I would ask is for a little shop with basic food and drink to be on site since the closest is 4 miles away.
