Louise (27 November 2017)

Had a great weekend the lodge was well equipped, hot tub was great after a days fishing. Owners where very welcoming and gave good advice which lakes to fish, caught fish all day of all sizes great sport. Will be defiantly going back next year.
Christopher from Chard (20 November 2017)

What a wonderful place!. private, peaceful setting, cosy lodges that are very well equipped. Helpful, welcoming, friendly owners- thank you
Jes (17 November 2017)

Wonderful peaceful location, well off the beaten track and although none of us were fishermen gather from speaking to those that were that the fishing was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the visits from the local ducks, lodge was well equipped perhaps could do with a little upgrade but gather work in progress as new owners but would recommend and great value for money as booked on special offer deal.
David from Portsmouth (10 November 2017)

We had a fantastic weekend here in november.

Mike from Lancing (27 October 2017)

Wouldn't think twice about staying here again, so peaceful and quiet yet still close enough to enjoy a night out or a day out at bude
Matthew from Blyth (16 October 2017)

Superb location, very friendly people & lovely cabin, I have already recommended it to family & friends!
Hugh from Beaminster (16 October 2017)

Vernon (13 October 2017)

We have been going to wooda lakes for quite a few years now.been 3 times this year and already booked for next year. Lodges are always clean and a nice little welcome pack. The fishing has been great and the fish are in lovely condition. . stuart is friendly and helpfull nothing to much trouble.
Malcolm from Exeter (13 October 2017)

Great place, quite, very clean and comfy, great fishing.
Viv from Bristol (09 October 2017)

Lovely log cabin fishing great views great peaceful going to book togo again.only thing that annoyed me was my net getting caught on wire over decking where you sit to catch.
Kayleigh from Dorset (09 October 2017)

A very relaxing break, sitting outside on the decking total silence, you could hear a pin drop. Everything you need onsite, we will be returning hopefully next year. Ps also excellent fishing in three well stocked lakes.
Stephen from Maidstone (06 October 2017)

Total peace and tranquillity. Miles from any town. No sounds of traffic. Lovely views whilst relaxing in the hot tub. Good fishing for carp.
Debra from Littlehampton (30 September 2017)

Had a lovely and relaxing holiday
Lisa from Kent (23 September 2017)

We had a fantastic girly weekend at wooda lakes, relaxing in the hot tub with the fantastic view of the lakes and countryside. Our cabin was superb, spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.
Pauline from Holsworthy (18 September 2017)

Fantastic break just what we were looking for somewhere nice and quiet so we could unwind and relax and do a spot of fishing. Great break and definitely want to return in the future.
Paul from Hedge End (15 September 2017)

Comfortable, spacious, lovely views, peaceful. We slept very well
Vaughan from Poole (08 September 2017)

Perfect would def visit again
Chloe (04 September 2017)

Our 1st time in devon and we absolutely fell in love with it. Staying at wooda lakes was ideal as we kept very busy in the day, so to come back to somewhere so peaceful and quiet was just what we needed. The cabin was lovely and had all we could have needed, have recommended it to friends and can see us coming back one day!
Terry from Liverpool (02 September 2017)

We loved our holiday. The only issue we had was finding it at 11pm in th dark. Not enough signs in the area to notify clients where to go. Sat nab died and we went in a circle for 3 hrs ! could do with a small shop and better wifi but for a place to relax that isn't major important. Lakes and views amazing and park manager brilliant.
Louise from Bristol (01 September 2017)

Lovely relaxing break in an excellent location
Stephen (01 September 2017)

One of the best places that I have stayed at in the uk, fantastic peaceful surroundings and lovely comfortable lodge. Will definitely be returning.
Martin from Swindon (26 August 2017)

Beautifully quiet and tranquil. Bit tricky to get to round the lanes in my van but all the more secluded and special as a result. Lovely place. We would definately stay here again. The views at night of the stars were breathtaking as their was no light pollution. children and adults both really enjoyed the location and the friendly ducks.
Gareth from Stroud, Gloucestershire (25 August 2017)

Wifi doesn't work was told specifically it would beforehand. . very little useful information on locality (shops things to do etc) in van. Dvds and games would be useful. Hot tub wasn't maintained through the week. . lodge could do with decorating and slight updating
Nigel (19 August 2017)

Me and the kids absolutely loved it, a real home from home and so cosy. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends. Fab staff too
Emma from Cirencester (18 August 2017)

Our lodge was fantastic and would highly recommend it was clean and well equipped with beautiful scenery!
Zoe from Wiltshire (11 August 2017)

Our second visit to wooda lakes with our fishing mad son. Fishing was good. Accommodation good except we had no hot water for first 24hrs due to a fault with the boiler. Location lovely but access difficult due to resurfacing of local roads. Not sure if we would visit again as being a fishing widow & bad weather led to a boring holiday for mum.
Joanne from Tewkesbury (04 August 2017)

A lovely peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of every day life!. although we did not go for the fishing it was just right to sit on the veranda and enjoy the surroundings!
Linda from Burnham-On-Sea (28 July 2017)

Fab fishing, very relaxed, quiet setting. Not much experience before of lodges, but these are clean and homely, more on the basic side.
Fiona (28 July 2017)

We have been to wooda lakes a couple of times before and always enjoy the fishing there. There is nothing else around the area so it nice and quiet and peaceful. We were slightly disappointed that we found an old tee shirt in the drawers and old discarded fishing tackle in the shed. Also, the fridge in the shed had not been cleaned. I think the lodges need some updating as well now, as there are marks on the walls and the showers are so old they don't even have mixer valves.
Paul from Bristol (22 July 2017)

We stayed in the vip lakeside lodge was disappointed as the bathroom . smelt badly of urine stained around the toilet also settee could do with upgrading as went quite a few yers back had same settees then they had cigarette burns in settee also in the carpet
Brian from Hull (21 July 2017)

A fantastic location if you want peace and quiet. The fishing is great and kept the boys busy for hours. Throughly enjoyed this holiday and would definitely go again
Baxter from Sittingbourne (21 July 2017)

Fantastic and relaxing family holiday. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need in a holiday home and were very friendly and helpful. The lodge itself was lovely and the hot tub an amazing bonus. The location and views are fantastic. You feel in the middle of nowhere but are not really that far from the beach and other things to do. We will definitely return.
Jessica from Mirfield (17 July 2017)

Lodge ok , would not say its a vip have stayed in better , no robes, slippers , and the lodge could need a bit more updating (carpet in bathroom for me is a no no ) , good points . area quite and peaceful because its off the beaten track , ( 4 miles to the paper shop back in holsworthy ) hot tub, lodge spacious
Tony (14 July 2017)

Lovely quiet place to stay. A little remote but a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life
Joanna from Southampton (08 July 2017)

Do not go
Ray (01 July 2017)

Vip means amazing to me this was ok , clean inside windows were filthy outside. Bathroom not great cracked wall tiles and grouting mouldy in places. Hot tub open and overlooked not great when it's raining all the time. One of the windows in the living room didn't shut properly, not a problem for us but winter time I can see it would be draughty. New mattresses which were comfy but pillows very cheap and thin. Fishing was good but lakes need work with reeds and the chick wire on platforms is a danger worn and kept getting my foot caught. Never saw the owners out and about mowing or anything.
Tracy from Leicester (01 July 2017)

Very peaceful
Norman from Christchurch (23 June 2017)

Started slow arrived early (drove 4 hours). . requested toilet told come back 3 hours pub up the road (had 7 change overs) we felt like going back home. . returned to wooda lakes "parked in drive" watched other people given keys. . the owner arrived keys issued within 10 mins (glad she came, total different approach and customer service same the last 3 times we visited). . we thought we had found our perfect holiday location (we have started looking for alternative)
Steven from West Midlands (02 June 2017)

If you like the peace and quite this is the place for you. lodges are lovely and comfortable and has plenty of room, very handy that they have a washing machine.
Sharon (02 June 2017)

Lovely quiet settings
Robert from Llandrindod Wells (27 May 2017)

A great place to fish and relax
William (20 May 2017)

Have been to this site a few times now but not sure that we like the introduction o hot tubs. They should be more private. Feel very uncomfortable sitting on the verandah with people topless in the hot tub right next door. if we went again we would have to stipulate that we were not next door to one with a hot tub
Yvonne from New Milton (20 May 2017)

Amazing week
Michelle from Southampton (19 May 2017)

Absolutely brilliant will definitely return.
Customer 48 from Worcester (13 May 2017)

An amazing little gem. So peaceful and relaxing. We were given a very warm welcome. Our stay was brilliant. We left feeling fully recharged and planning our return stay. The lodge was spacious, spotless and extremely comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus.
Sarah from Romsey (05 May 2017)

We always enjoy our stays at wooda. A beautiful relaxing place to go to unwind and get away from a busy life. The lodges are always immaculate and in a prime location to visit all of devon and cornwalls beautiful coastline.
Melody from Bath (01 May 2017)

Very relaxing - fantastic views, peace and quiet. lovely setting to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the surroundings.
David from South Wales (01 May 2017)

We had a lovely time at wooda lakes! the setting was stunning, sitting out in the hot tub at night watching the stairs was magical! the lodge was really well equipped and the welcome pack of tea/coffe/sugar/milk and biscuits was so thoughtful.it is a great place as a base,it would be ideal if there was a little shop on site as there isn't much nearby without driving out but we had the best time and hope to go again soon.
Laura (14 April 2017)

This is a fantastic little holiday park. It's not all singing all dancing like some holiday chalet parks so don't go if you want flumes and swimming pools etc. Lovely friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. Lovely spacious and clean lodges. . good fishing in the ponds and amazing views and scenery.
Nyall from Chippenham (10 April 2017)

Great place for fishing, sightseeing and peace and quite.
Ian from Gillingham (07 April 2017)

We had a lovely break, the lodge was clean and owner very friendly. would definitely go back and next time hire a lodge with a hot tub.
Clare from Norfolk (07 April 2017)

This is a lovely, comfortable, spacious lodge in a beautiful setting. A really relaxing holiday. Can't wait to return.
Sandra from Truro (07 April 2017)

Had a great holiday again. Beautiful relaxing resort. Everything we needed was provided in our cabin. Stuart and his family were great and even the other guests were lovely and helped us with our fishing. . an excellent chill, great value. Thank you
Jeff from Bristol (31 March 2017)

Lovely quiet site to get away from it all!! lovely views to lakes. only thing to hear in the mornings is the ducks and geese coming up to the lodge quacking for some breakfast. only a 9 for facilities only because no shop on site to get morning paper but I understand the owner is looking to put small shop on site for essentials e.g. Milk, bread, papers.
Louise from Bristol (31 March 2017)

Absolutely excellent, lodge fantastic, and the fishing lakes were superb, can't fault it.
Wendy from Verwood (24 March 2017)

We found the lodge spotlessly clean and very cosy. The kitchen was well equipped, with everything we needed. We had lovely views over the lakes in a wonderful, peaceful setting. We chose this location as it ticked all the right boxes for us, including fishing and a fabulous hot tub. Both my husband and myself caught some good sized carp on the 2 days we fished the large carp lake, one being 151b 7. the owners were very helpful and friendly. This is the place to go if you want somewhere to chill out and unwind for a few days, with friends or as a couple. We will definitely go back to wooda lakes, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Heather from Wolverhampton (17 March 2017)

Great location and a good base to travel around the area
David from Winchester (13 March 2017)

Lovely and relaxing getting away from all the hustle and bustle will certainly be coming back
Ruth from Bristol (13 March 2017)

Good fishing, very warm and comfy lodge with everything you need home from home, viewing stars from hot tub great.
Viv from Bristol (06 March 2017)

We loved it! perfect, peaceful location. Bude within easy reach but otherwise pretty tranquil. Lodge was immaculate and so cosy in the cold february weather!. hot tub was just perfect!. thank you
Sally from Bournemouth (03 March 2017)

Completely loved my week away and will definately be returning.
Trudy from Maidstone, Kent (17 February 2017)

Our second visit to woodalakes and we had a brilliant time, we love everything about it. The lodges are home from home, a great place to stay for exploring. We have booked for christmas this year.
Julie from Weymouth/Dorset (10 February 2017)

Lovely rustic wooden lodge with everything you could need. Set in a beautiful location, even with private fishing lake for residents.
Philip from Bristol (30 January 2017)

Absolutely wonderful. We spent christmas week at wooda lakes and it was so peaceful and totally relaxing. the lakes are lovely to walk around and our dog loved running and sniffing all about. A super box of biscuits awaited our arrival and very kindly, some fresh milk and coffee too. We loved the fact that it's not commercialised and that there aren't too many pine lodges on the site. We would most definitely return, we just don't want too many people finding out about them!
Petra from Malvern (30 December 2016)

We had a fantastic break. Peace, quiet & a most enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Tracey from Hinks (08 October 2016)

Everything you need on a relaxing holiday. Plus the fishing was excellent, well stocked lakes catering for all level's of angler's. Clean and well kept accommodation.

This place is everything we need for our week, it fits all our requirements
Allan from Pinner (24 September 2016)

The most peaceful place i've ever stayed
Michael from Northampton (29 August 2016)

Excellent holiday. Couldn't fault the lodge in any way. Very clean and tidy it contained everything you needed and more. Very warm and cosy. Loved the milk, biscuits, tea set on arrival ..what a lovely touch after a 6 hour drive. . a farm at the end of the road sold fresh free range eggs every morning and the surroundings were stunning. We don't fish but I imagine it would be a beautiful area to do so with the large lakes and the fisherman we spoke to rated it highly. . lovely owners who live on site. . little park area for the boys was just enough to unwind on after a busy day. . we can't imagine anyone would say a bad thing about this place. . thank you for a lovely holiday. Xx
Lisa from Derbyshire (13 August 2016)

1 word fantastic
Mark from Bedford (13 August 2016)

Great lodges, clean and well maintained. Great location very peaceful. Fishing is excellent.
Adrian from Solihull (30 July 2016)

We had such a good stay, the cabins are much bigger than imagined, the kitchen brilliantly equipped, the welcome basket of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits very much welcomed. It is off the beaten track a little, we used the cabin as a base and then explored the area. I wouldn't hesitate returning. Do not expect any wifi, we went with 3 children, we watched them fly kites, play games, and become children again! waitrose in holsworthy is about 15mins by car, bude is 20 mins away, amazing chinese takeaway in woolley, bude. Highly recommend if you want to just have a time out and relax.
Victoria (29 July 2016)

We had a great 2 weeks at wooda lakes the lodge was that good we didnot want to come home. All I can say is what a place. Second time there and will be going back next year fact.
Ian from Southend On Sea (11 June 2016)

Fishing is silly easy, so many small carp in all of the lakes. lodges have everything you need, i've stayed in more modern and contemporary places but location is lovely and the lodges are more than adequate.

This is a beautiful location with functional, comfortable accomodation. It's perfect for fishing and peaceful for getting away from it all as there is lots of space. It is a remote location so a bit of driving required. We would have made use of wifi and a dishwasher. A small children's play area but unfortunately we didn't use due to rain. The lodge had a large decking area outside.

It's a great location because we went there for the fishing and my husband fished constantly. However, there was nothing nearby for me to do, eg go for a walk without using the car, but we kind of knew that before we got there. so that's fair enough. we had a lovely relaxing time.

We have stayed at wooda lakes over the last three years and would continue to use the beautiful lodges as a base to visit family. the persons responsible for this park are extremely helpful at all times. A very peaceful location to get away from everyday urban life. You do need a car as shops are some distance away also ideal for fishing.

One of the nicest sites i've stayed at. Quiet and peaceful, well presented, I would happily go back again. (if you like ducks, they'll make you very welcome, so don't forget some duck food!!)
Kevin from Christchurch (24 October 2015)

Everything perfect! nothing more to be said, quiet, stunning surroundings, very helpful and good fishing in beautifully kept lakes.
Brian from Pontypool (10 October 2015)

A great holiday once again, helped by a solid week of sunshine. Fishing again spot on. If there is a down side it was that not one of the lodges took our small dog, so it cost us an extra £90 to kennel him.
Susan from Teignmouth, Devon (03 October 2015)

Excellent base for sight seeing the surrounding devon and cornwall area - excellent fishing from all the 5 lakes . our 4th year here , always a warm wellcom and good facilities.
Roger (19 September 2015)

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at wooda lake lodge. It was clean with comfortable beds and there was a lovely view from our deck. Kids loved feeding the ducks. Will definately recommend if you want to get out of your busy life and relax in peace and quiet surroundings.
Husna from Southampton (28 August 2015)

Lovely lodges, clean and well equipped
Liz from Bristol (18 August 2015)

Stayed with friends and we loved it! the place was quiet and the lodge was great for what we needed it for. Hopefully we will stay here again.
