Was a lovely setting staff were great very helpful we stayed at the end of the season and the food was terrible and when you asked about it they just said there’s nothing left were not offered money of so dissatisfied with food if stayed there again would not eat in the restaurant.
Tracy from Gunnislake (27 October 2017)

Although slightly older, the caravan I was in was very clean, well presented and comfortable. The site was well laid out and facilities were of a high standard. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My holiday was late in the season, so it was fairly quiet on site, I can imagine it is very busy at the height of season, but the site has plenty of amenities. A great place to base yourself for a holiday whether you like beaches or countryside.
David from Bristol (20 October 2017)

Caravan very basic, cold, damp and smelt strange.
Tina from Sawbridgeworth (18 September 2017)

Not enough things to do at park found it very small.but very clean and staff helpful.
Janet (12 August 2017)

Very nice everything within reach
Teresa from Burton On Trent (09 June 2017)

No wi fi no phone signal felt cut off . toilet much too small couldn't move .
Brian (26 May 2017)

Tucked away down a lovely lane, this is an ideal spot for a get away. Greeted by lovely friendly people at reception and easy to locate the caravan on the site. I didn't take advantage of many of the facilities on site, but was lucky enough to have some god weather and sit by the pool.. by why or why does the pool have to close at 5pm? perhaps it stays open later during the height of summer, but on a glorious afternoon, it felt a little mean to be ushered from the pool area :o(
Karen from Eastleigh (22 May 2017)

Holiday was lovely pool was just to cold
Claire from Coventry (22 May 2017)

A lovely park in a good location not far from the towns of paington and brixham. also you can take a nice walk from the park into the beautiful village of stoke gabriel, perfect for dog walkers.
Nicholas from Cardiff (19 May 2017)

Great place to stay. Very quite, good for getting away for a rest.
Patricia from Bristol (15 May 2017)

My wife, myself and a jack russell terrier had a very enjoyable 4 nights in a pet friendly caravan. . lovely clean caravan - crisp white bedding. . lovely for the dog as it is a very dog friendly park. . fish and chips in the cafe was super - great value - had it twice!
Dennis from Camberley, Surrey (12 May 2017)

Had a lovely week, caravan was comfortable and clean, lovely site in nice surroundings, helpful staff and very handy for visiting all of local facilities would definitely recommend.
Lyn from Mitcheldean Gloucestershire' (12 May 2017)

Excellent holiday thanks to park and staff
Terence (05 May 2017)

It was early in the season and so quiet but we found everything ok and the staff were very helpful and we would certainly come back
Mick from Borehamwood (21 April 2017)

The dogs are the biggest downside for us. A little disappointed there was no entertainment in the bar over the easter weekend.
Julie from Sutton Coldfield. (17 April 2017)

I stayed here with my daughter and it was lovely, we will definitely be returning:)
Kirsty from Northampton (07 April 2017)

Fantastic park, would highly recommend, lovely clean facilities, plenty of open space, lovely woodland walk, great location.
Linda from Northants (07 April 2017)

Very clean and well kept site and caravan. friendly and helpful staff. this was our first stay, will hopefully go again soon !!
Joy from Petersfield (23 September 2016)

It's a very park just to far away from the main resort.
Andy (17 September 2016)

Excellent holiday on a lovely site very close to the whole of torbay and attractions.
Valerie from Poole (16 September 2016)

We were very disappointed with the caravan, which was clean but very shabby inside. We have stayed at whitehill on and off for the last 20 years and this is the first time we have stayed in one of the older caravans. They are long passed their sell by date and really need replacing.
Colin from Sheffield (12 September 2016)

Stayed for a week, with family and dog. Enjoyed lovely walks over to stoke gabriel and from the steamboat quay, totnes. Great for walking the dog and letting him swim in river dart. Onsite staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely come again.
Michael from Chester (10 September 2016)

The holiday park is lovely and very good for children. The childrens entertainment (sarah and tom) where amazing and the craft place was really good and my daughter enjoyed going in there. Sarah and tom were amazing with the children and really kept there attention and made it fun for them.
Emma from Southampton (03 September 2016)

I came here when I was 5 years old with my parents so I brought my children and I was not disappointed. We stayed in a basic caravan which was more than sufficient and was very clean on arrival. the staff were all helpful and on hand when needed. The pool was fantastic and we used it every day. The only thing I can mention is that I think the entertainement barn would benefit from an update as we found many of the amusements were out of order. We had a great holiday and would happily return.
Wendy from Manchester (26 August 2016)

Really nice place to stay quiet and very clean. Would stay there again.
Paul from Warrington (13 August 2016)

The sites were very close together although a large amount of space on the top field was not used. A group of people were loud near us and its only after we complained to staff three times did the problem get resolved. Not proactive in dealing with this
Paul from Derby (13 August 2016)

Whitehall country park is set in a lovely location, the location and facilities is ideal for campers. . the facilities on the site for children were disappointing, the recreational park areas were tired. . . the staff were helpful, we had a problem with the boiler which was resolved very quickly. The entertainment team we did not see or here from for the first three days of the holiday, the facilities the team had were limited, one afternoon they advertised doing sports but the only thing they could offer was football ! having four girls with us this did not go down well, they said they had no other equipment other than a ball ! I have stayed on many caravan sites and have paid less money and the facilities on the site have been to a far higher standard. . the outdoor pool was the saviour but without good weather you would struggle. if you are looking for a back to basics holiday with little to do then this is the place to come ! we visited the local towns of paignton and brixham which were not far.
Barbara (30 July 2016)

We have been coming to whitehill for over 30 years. Although we enjoyed our holiday, it is not the same. Disappointed dogs are now allowed. The entertainment in the children's room is not so good. Previously children were allowed to play bingo, but not shout if they won. When my son was seen playing, the women threatened to rip ticket up, if he was seen playing again. Where are john and bridget.
Mark from Sutton Coldfield (30 July 2016)

Beautiful site very clean and friendly staff
Rachel from Shepton Mallet (23 July 2016)

Lovely site & surroundings. All staff are really friendly & helpful. Will definitely return.
John from Doncaster (27 June 2016)

Had a great time at whitehill country park, excellent facilities and helpful staff. The park was spotlessly clean and it was a real pleasure to arrive back each evening after a busy day sampling the many sights and attractions both devon and cornwall have to offer. The food on site was of high standard but not expensive and although difficult in areas to receive a decent phone signal the parks own wi-fi coverage was good. Overall a well laid out and run site and one I shall certainly return to.
Alan from Dover (20 June 2016)

We had a fantastic holiday, the heated pool was a big hit with the children.
Nicola from Accrington (20 June 2016)

Lovely caravan, amazing pool. Location was a bit in the middle of nowhere. site very geared up for dog's and there owners. there wasn't an atmosphere in the bars and we were a little bored.
Karen from Bristol (27 May 2016)

We had a beautiful caravan, much better than we were expecting for the price. The location was lovely, very green and well placed to be near lots to do. Would definitely stay again.
Ruth from Chesterfield (08 April 2016)

Ideally located for our purposes to look around the area. The campsite was well equipped with all the usual facilities and going out of season, the price paid was very reasonable.
Steven from Southampton (26 September 2015)

We had a great time. The staff are amazingly helpful. if I could make one suggestion it would be to provide a few more plates. one per person is a little difficult to manage beautiful surroundings though
Margaret from Isleworth (26 September 2015)

We had a wonderful time plenty of places to visit and a lovely park, the staff were wonderful so helpful we hope to come again.

A great place for family. Enjoyed days out and even enjoyed a day at the park itself.
Paul from Wellingborough (19 September 2015)

The whole centre was very tired and needs a facelift. Compared with our last holiday at the same price it was drab. . the design of the site, in the caravan section , is too close for comfort. We booked when the children were at school only to have a family put right next to us with two small children running up and down the caravan all day and night and we could hear it very loudly. . we were also on a corner with a walk way past our front room and dog walkers etc walking past all the time.
Colin from Warwickshire (19 September 2015)

We were impressed with the thoughtful way that the accommodation was kitted out with quality crockery. Cutlery and bed linen etc. Also the t,v. Had a very good choice of programs with freeview etc.

We had an upgrade as was an issue with our accommodation the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Site very organised and clean. Lots of nice places without traveling too far. Great holiday would recommend.
Jayne from Derbyshire (05 September 2015)

Would I stay at whitehill again? 100% yes! . I stayed here with my two sons aged 12 and 7 and my husband during the last week of the summer break. . we arrived at the park at midday after driving 6 hours from norfolk. My holiday paperwork stated that we were unable to check into our caravan until 4pm but we approached reception to be told we could use all the park facilities. We were told to pop back at 2pm as our van could be ready and to our delight it was. . the caravan was easy to find even without the map which we were given along with our keys. The van was spacious, the shower was lovely and the beds so comfy as were the sofas which my husband would fall asleep on each night!! . the reception had an abundance of local tourist information leaflets and money off vouchers for attractions in the area, the staff were also on hand to advise should you get overwhelmed. . there was a pool, we didn't use it, but it looked very well maintained and I noticed lifeguards sitting round the edge. . there was entertainment, again this wasn't something we had interest in as we were wanting to explore the area rather than sit on site. The shop was great and very reasonably priced with bread and milk being about £1ish. My boys enjoyed the amusement arcade, I found as a parent there was just enough in there to keep them amused without my wallet feeling like it had taken a pounding. . we found all staff on site extremely friendly and willing to help out where they could. I have visited other caravan parks in the past and they aren't a patch on whitehill, I didn't want to go home. My husband said before we even vacated the caravan that we would be booking for 2016 as we had enjoyed staying there so much.
Zoe from Thetford (05 September 2015)

Great park, peaceful but close enough to paignton and torquay to enjoy days out. Nice pool and bar. Supermarkets very close, so never ran out of anything. Reception staff were great, very friendly and helpful!

The caravan was not the newest of models but for what we paid it was value for money and most importantly clean and tidy. . the site was small and clean and the park was set in beautiful surroundings. . staff were very polite friendly and helpful. . would stay again in the future
Kathy from Oswestry (29 August 2015)

Stayed at whitehall for a week staff was friendly, but the entertainment was poor was the same all week bingo, backwards bingo and a disco mainly for kids. And in the other bar was singers. food was nice but in my view should of wore hair nets when handling or preparing food.
Paul from Planet Earth (29 August 2015)

My family and I had a wonderful time. We were in swift caravan, which was clean, tidy and suitable for family of 3. Though beds were not comfortable but ok for a caravan. The nights were cold and heater broke down. The staff responded quickly to resolve it. The food and bar were excellent. The surroundings are beautiful, fresh air and lovely scenary. Theres plenty to do and see thats not too far from it. If you drive there are lots of beaches in the area to explore. Very good for outdoor stuff.
Sally from Hampshire (29 August 2015)

Had a lovely time weather ok did not stop us from going out. Campsite was great. The narrow road leading to the campsite could do with being made wider . apart from that I would go back.

Great place for families to get away to and surprisingly peaceful at the same time.
Margaret from Knutsford (30 May 2015)

Location good, site noisy until 11pm can hear all that goes on in the club house. Dogs everywhere and smokers who take no notice of non smoking accommodation.
Karen (25 May 2015)

Caravan was lovely and very clean. Was pleasantly surprised with how big the bathroom was and how powerful the shower was considering it's only a caravan. The sofa was very uncomfortable and meant we couldn't spend time in the evening relaxing all together instead went off to bed to get comfy. The last caravan we stayed in on site was very comfortable so only reason i'm mentioning it as a comparison. The caravan was lovely and warm throughout even though we had cold weather. Staff were very pleasant and helpful as they previously were. Love having the on site shop to pop into. Didn't use bar this time but enjoyed that previously and am still waiting for nice enough weather on our next visit to use the outdoor pool. Thanks for another great stay
Sarah from Cheltenham (08 May 2015)

A lovely relaxing week , our first time here for many years , as lovely as we remembered it.
Jackie from Birmingham (11 April 2015)

When we booked the caravan park through hoseasons we advised that we ghad no transport but were advised that there was a bus stop outside the park. However, as we arrived on good friday, no buses run on sundays or bank holidays and so had to gety a taxi at an increased fare rate due to it being a bank holiday or walk over 2 miles to or from the caravan park. The facilities were lso silly as you had to order food downstairs and then ask them to bring up to the bar. However, some people were being told that they were unable to bring it up to the bar and would have to wait for the food t be ready and take it up themselves.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (10 April 2015)

Quite a nice park but a bit out of the way for a seaside holiday but good if you want to stay on the site most of the time .
Paula from Peterborough (23 August 2014)

Whitehill country park is a small, fairly quiet park with only about 60 static caravans & the rest tourers or tents. It was the perfect base for our holiday, we are not ones for just staying on site & there were lots of lovely places to go to, all within about an hours drive. However, the park does have a heated outdoor pool & a crafts room, plus nearly every day someone came from off site & offered different activities, ie climbing wall, archery, pony rides to name a few, so there are things to do if you fancy a day on site. A lovely, friendly place that I would recomend to anyone.
Simon (23 August 2014)

Basic caravan but everything we needed - great location - just need free wifi
Julie from Norwich (16 August 2014)

Very nice, not too busy and not too quiet.
Justin (16 August 2014)

We had a wonderful time we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the caravan and the site. There was loads to do for children and adults alike, and everything required was supplied and at a high standard. . we will be coming again next summer!!
Neil from Northampton (09 August 2014)

The accommodation and facilities were very good. Our caravan was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The only complaint we have is about the wifi that has to be paid for but was so poor that we gave up trying. We were not alone in this as we overheard other people complaining.
Russell from Smethwick (02 August 2014)

Lovely park, set in the countryside. Friendly staff and very clean and tidy accommodation. Great evening entertainment for the kids. . clean swimming pool but the choice of quality food was lacking. would definitely return.
Simon from Newport (02 August 2014)

Not quite sure that you can class this as a mini lodge when all it was ,was a caravan with cladding on the sides. the price was a bit high for what was offered, we have stayed in better caravans for less. Very disappointed that we did not have french doors which led on to decking, with only one small door at the back the heat inside was quite stifling
Jean from Brierley Hill (25 July 2014)

Very clean site, all the staff were helpful and very good location. we will hopefully be going back in the future.
Deeana (30 June 2014)

Lovely park we will be back next year
Lyndsey from Street (27 June 2014)

Everything was satisfactory, apart from having to ask the reception staff 3 times to have the fire in caravan to be fixed and nothing done !!!
Wendy from Milton Keynes (27 June 2014)

Safe, clean and excellent facilities.
Patricia from Cumbria (27 June 2014)

Fantastic.
Samantha from Bridgwater (23 June 2014)

Don't go here if you want peace and quiet. ideal for families, facilities will keep them occupied. central location for where we wanted to visit. plenty in a 20 mile radius for families. site was too large and noisy and kestrel lodge was right by main entrance and busy road, road noise started about 5am and went on until around 10pm. visited on a hot weather week and had to have windows open so there was no let up from the noise. staff appeared to park their cars on one side of the kestrel lodge as it was so close to entrance/exit.
Lisa from Cornwall (21 June 2014)

For a quiet holiday this was perfect. But there was no entertainment and food was very limited. This did not spoil our stay but others did comment on this. It was perhaps because it was 'world cup time'
Audrey from Poole (20 June 2014)

As it was low season, the accommodation was excellent value and the pool and other facilities were very quiet. We had a wonderful time and for me the highlight was using the very clean and safe pool everyday with my young family.
Craig from Bournemouth (20 June 2014)

Downfall no food available until thursday, quite disappointing as booked holiday monday to friday would of liked to use café and breakfast options before thursday evening. Otherwise beautiful and relaxing site.
