The chalet was brilliant as was the welcome pack. all lovely and clean. but the wi fi was terrible dropping out every few minutes , completely useless. I would not have booked this site if I had known about the wifi. . should not say the park has free wifi in the brochure as this is not the case. I did not realise also that everything including restaurant and bars would be shut.
Debbie (17 November 2017)

Took two 4 year old gran children because of the swimming pool, when we got there we were told the pool was closed monday to thursday only open at weekend, the park doesn't say this when booking we booked monday to friday so no swimming for the gran children
Clive from Liphook Hampshire (10 November 2017)

Would have been the perfect holiday had we been told that the time we had booked everything on site had would be closed
Peter from Nelson Lancs (03 November 2017)

Lovely location and evening entertainment good. Shop had run out of most things and chalet not that clean but it was a cheap weekend away so can't complain. Would def return
John from Bognor Regis (30 October 2017)

Very tired and dirty park. The nab bar floor looked dirty and the tables were sticky. Even the menu had food on it. Swimming pool had more repaired grout than original and didn't look very clean. Didn't dare go in the culver bar for fear of how we might find it
Nicola from Cambridge (28 October 2017)

Tired in need of some tlc
Dawn (27 October 2017)

Very good. Amazing place and people. Only issue we had during stay was parking by caravan. Someone had parked and blocked the road causing people to reverse back up the hill which was noisy especially at night. Told security but no action taken.
Trevor (27 October 2017)

Beautiful place to stay, caravan very clean, site in general was spotless, all staff welcoming and helpful, stunning beach, can’t wait to go back
Hayley (27 October 2017)

We came on holiday with our 4 year old granddaughter who was unfortunately sick for the first two days. When I requested clean bedding the staff were very helpful and I got replacements very quickly but I didn't like the fact that the sheets went straight on the mattress and there were no mattress protectors. Also I didnt like that the double bed was up against the side wall making it very difficult to get into and out of at night without disturbing each other. . when I took the laundry to the launderette after my granddaughter was sick I had to trudge all the way back up to the reception area to obtain some old £ coins because the machines had not been upgraded. Again the staff were very helpful but not an ideal situation. When we went swimming we had to show our passes which I think is totally unecessary. The kids soft play area was a bit small and there were far too many amusement arcade type games. The kids entertainment was good. We werent able to stay long enough for any of the other entertainment to comment. The on site shop was dingy and not the greatest. The nab bar was very nice and the food we had there was great. Im sure that when it is nice enough to use the outdoor pool it is a lovely spot. The views from there were beautiful. Very mixed feelings but overall not the best holiday park that I have experienced with children and unlikely to return.
Mary from Brighton (27 October 2017)

Reasonable facilities - we came in last week of the season and, although it was half term week and quite full, there was the end of season feel. Pool was good for kids. I am fully versed in h&s but the induction and the intransigence of the youthful team was irritating - a bit more eduaction for them in the use of common sense wouldnt go amiss. As usual, entertainment is good for under 8s but 8-12yo olds are always a bit left out. We ate one night in the bar area, food was good but service slow even though by 7pm it was almost empty. Acconmmodation was very good.
Derek from Surrey (27 October 2017)

It was a very lovely week we would come back again
Susan from Milton Keynes (20 October 2017)

Every thing was fine
David from Llanelli (20 October 2017)

Everything was very clean in a first class caravan.
Ron from Witham Essex (13 October 2017)

We had a great 4 night break at a great price all utilitys worked well good salection of utensil and crockery . it would have been nice to have a shower attachment of any kind for hair washing . the only real criticism would be the couch in the lounge was sooooooo uncomfortably we both ended up with back ache . but overall a very pleasant time
Glenys from Milton Keynes (13 October 2017)

Shame no take away
David from Eastliegh (06 October 2017)

I originally booked the cheapest chalet but on arrival found it old and smelly so ask for an up grade which the manager kindly did. The chalet was lovely new clean modern and I would diffidently so there again. Many thanks to the manager who was lovely and friendly
Diana from Bognor Regis (06 October 2017)

Nice site roomy chalet with good views over all very pleased
Nicholas from Abingdon (06 October 2017)

The park location and surroundings are simply stunning. The play equipment and crazy golf appear to have been updated and were great for my daughter. The staff members I spoke to also lovely. However the chalets are truly awful, I spent time wiping down mould off the windowsills, the carpet was not hoovered properly and the bathroom stunk and made me cringe it was so old. I ended up buying 2 air fresheners to try and make the place smell bearable. Not a single plug socket in any of the 3 bedrooms. The bed wobbled so much my partner got his tool box out the car and tightened it all up. If the chalets could be updated it would be wonderful but they need a complete overhaul.
Lisa from Bedford (06 October 2017)

Great accommodation and competitive price
Natalie from Gosport (06 October 2017)

The site and location were great.. but I have sent a complaint about my ( so called ) luxury caravan..
Kath from Lewes (02 October 2017)

The location was fantastic and our luxury caravan was definitely great value for money
Shelley (30 September 2017)

Bathroom very dated, banister broke, curtains hanging off, just generally dated chalet. . ample parking behind the chalet but no path directly to it so had to walk the long way round with out baby and luggage, would benefit from short paths to each of the chalets. Didn't pay loads for four nights, certainly not worth any more than what we paid even at peak time!
James (29 September 2017)

Peaceful location of caravan
Alan (29 September 2017)

The caravan was lovely spacious and clean staff were helpful when need was a great location for beach and surrounding areas! the only thing that let it down were the run down swimming pool and soft play and rubbish entainment! but had a lovely holiday overall
Stacey from Oxfordshire (29 September 2017)

Very nice
Josephine (25 September 2017)

Although we were pleased with our van, it could of been cleaned to a better standard. The venetian blinds hadn’t been cleaned for some considerable time, the fire place was dusty as were some of the small skirting boards around the van. We also found evidence from the previous occupants that they had left in the cupboards. . but overall we did enjoy our stay and will return. . one other point. We found that certain people ignored the one way system on the site and parked there cars and vans adjacent to the gates of the club house which meant that any child that ran out of those gates car drivers couldn’t avoid as road was too narrow. . safety on the site needs to be improved and regularly enforced. . we also saw a motorcyclist come flying out from behind the swimming baths, a total disregard for people’s saftey.
John from Redcar North Yorkshire. (23 September 2017)

Whitecliff bay holiday park was clean and well looked after. The park on site was quite new looking and the changing lights under the canopy over most of it was a nice touch at dusk. Although the canopy could have done with a couple of extra feet to keep the slide dry. The on site shop was well stocked and had quite a lot of essentials as well as some items you wouldn't expect(nail polish remover I brought in town as didn't think they would have and the on site shops was a third of the price in town). the restaurant was nice with a good varied menu. Prices were a little pricey but not extortionate, what you'd expect. My father had a meal he couldn't eat as the rump steak was inedible but the staff couldn't do enough and refunded his money and gave him another meal for free!. staff all over the park were very friendly and the staff in reception were helpful and courteous. The sites location was lovely in bembridge although my satnav insisted it was at a different holiday park down the road. It is a little bit out in the sticks, so a fair bit of driving for visiting places around the island. Be warned about the rooks though! hundreds of them in the trees behind the caravans and they certainly make a lot of noise, we got used to is and it was fine apart from one who stood on top of our caravan at 5.30am squawking, it's nature so no problem. Bunnies hop around the caravans and are quite tame, if your caravan is sited near the trees they are regulars. Very cute. . the swimming pool and changing rooms were very tired and only one shower worked and you had to hold shower button down constantly for water to run so pretty poor on that side but was told by staff that 2018 will bring a big refurb of swimming pool and changing rooms. . the views from outside the restaurant on the cliff side were stunning and there is a path direct from there down to beach, be warned the path is ridiculously steep and the climb back up is very challenging. But so beautiful the view. . there was no entertainment to speak of as we went off season, bingo and music played and think there may have been a comedian one night but too late for us as we had a little one of three with us. There are two rooms of amusements and if the only entertainment is very expensive. . the caravan itself was good, beds comfortable, good shower and kitchen adequately stocked with pots and pans etc although the grill had no grill shelf so couldn't use it. Microwave was on it's last legs but just about worked. Cooker worked fine. Fridge and small freezer. There are car parks spotted about the park adjacent to caravans so short walk to caravan from car unless you get one with drives right beside(we would next time as too many hours spent sat in car after day out with 3 yr old asleep, car park too far to leave asleep in car but if right next to caravan would be fine). . there was a basic welcome pack consisting of dishcloth, mini bottle washing up liquid, bin liner. No tea towels though so need to take own if wanted. The on site launderette was appalling, horrendous machine to pay and select your wash on wall which clearly needs replacing, expect to stand there for about twenty mins trying to get machine to work. The people in there before me said good luck when they left, said it all. Also no soap dispenser to buy detergent, so we had to then go back to shop to buy over priced pack of detergent when we only wanted to do one wash while there. All launderettes have detergent to buy so that was a let down. . overall it was a good park, few niggles here and there but nowhere is perfect!
Charlotte from Poole (23 September 2017)

Great place to stay. Beautiful views
Rachel from Oxford (22 September 2017)

The caravan was good, spacious and well equipped. The location was very good and the countryside attractive. The beach was excellent but the steep path down had no steps and would have defeated anyone with disabilities. Our short break holiday was marred by three of us getting food poisoning, possibly from side salads which the three ate with otherwise delicious lunches in the beach cafe. This led to the second day being a washourt because of illness. . we were disappointed that some of the bars and places to eat on site were closed in mid september. The town of sandown is not worth going to - it is very old fashioned and rather run down - but the nearby village of bembridge is attractive and contains several places to eat as well as a co-op supermarket which is open late.
Peter from Yateley (18 September 2017)

The site is fine for family but not for adults on their own.
Julia from Eastbourne (18 September 2017)

The location of the holiday park itself is great. Has access to the beach, has all the other usual amenities you would expect from a holiday park.
Sagar from London (18 September 2017)

Very nice place to stay. Very nice views from the park itself. . would be nice to have some . plug sockets in the bedrooms
Frida (18 September 2017)

Went with family. Asked for vans to be close, instead long way apart. Cars exceeded speed limit on site (including some staff members). dangerous when walking, especially with young children. Children's entertainment on too late. Pictures on website made everything look better than it is.
Edward from Southend On Sea (16 September 2017)

Beautiful view from our van. site spotless
Ken (15 September 2017)

I was disappointed to have to clean the kitchen when we arrived. there was a ball of hair sitting on top of the cutlery tray. The drawer itself was dirty, as was the sink area and drainer. I felt it necessary to wash cutlery and crockery before use. The bedding on one of the single beds was dirty. This was changed. The staff were very helpful. I would say however that staff do tend to speed around the site which makes it hazardous for children. the swimming pool needs an update. There were broken tiles in the bottom of the hot tub and the pool area is very tired. The walk to the beach is steep. Unfortunately at high tide it is very dangerous as the water cuts off the beach and the walkway.
Gill from Rustington (15 September 2017)

The accommodation was 1st class we couldn't fault it
Marie from Martock (15 September 2017)

Great caravan, lovely views, great location
Malcolm from Herstmonceux (11 September 2017)

The swin pool was two far a way from the main part of the entertaiment up a big hill now good for people with waiking problem
Susan from Bodmin (08 September 2017)

Nice location. Easy reach of beach. Nice point to reach other parts of island.
Richard from Bedford (08 September 2017)

Booked a luxury caravan and was palmed off with the one below and when I questioned it I was told it was luxury but I have stayed in luxury at this site many times and it was not luxury like what is advertised on the site
Antony (04 September 2017)

Lovely resort, close to attractions, walking distance to beach. Accommodation was clean and homely
Antonia from Horsham (01 September 2017)

A great holiday and a really nice place too.
Ian from Sutton (01 September 2017)

Accommodation let it down 2 out of 10 rest of holiday park 8/10
Barry from Carshalton (28 August 2017)

It was brilliant holiday place
Azadar from Luton (28 August 2017)

We had a lovely holiday. thank you. as we booked through you and not directly with the park it took a while to find our booking when we arrived. I had a question at the end when we were leaving and again came up against the lack of interest as we hadn't booked directly with the park.
Deidre from Oxford (26 August 2017)

No room in main bedroom to fit travel bed so baby had to sleep in the living room, I wish I had known that when booking, oven didn't work had to use matches to light it! the toilets by the indoor pool were disgusting! table tennis - never any balls so couldn't play!! poor access to the beach to steep to get the buggy up and down. human excrement in the games room of the clubhouse! no decent facilities for adults unless you are a drinker or gambler!
Sarah from Surrey (26 August 2017)

Had a very pleasant time. Site well run and very professional.
Stephen from London (25 August 2017)

Site was in a lovely position however the caravan left allot to be desired. The carpet was filthy and the sofas/seating in the lounge area were also soiled. There were no sheets on the extra bedding in the wardrobes. . the restaurant located by the swimming pool had seen better days. The staff in the restaurant were however very pleasant as were the lifeguards in both the outside and indoor pool. . the indoor pool should be closed and refurbished, it's in need of a refurb, rusty, and in need of a deep clean.
Debbie from Denmead, Hampshire (25 August 2017)

Bad start with caravan being very basic and not the superior caravan we paid for, curtains hanging off the rails, stains on upholstery and carpet, marks on walls, surfaces and door handles, very disappointed. the entertainment staff were very friendly and good with the grand children. the toilet facilities in the restaurant, bar area were very dirty, no soap to wash your hands with all the time we were there, not impressed at all.
Suzanne (25 August 2017)

For the amount or money it cost us to stay . I think the caravan was basic. And the one we was put in was around to many private units . the indoor pool had a skum mark around it . the price of the food and drinks was well over priced . the shop only packed the basics and prices where high . but I must say that the staff where fantastic
Martin (25 August 2017)

More staff needed in bar area in the evenings, entertainment could be improved.
Lisa from Ashtead (25 August 2017)

The car an was lovely and clean and well equipped. The site was very tired, we took a look at the indoor pool and decided to give it a miss. We had to ask twice for extra towels as the caravan was set for 4 not the 5 of us I had booked for. Unfortunately my son was sick in his bed, we told guest services, we were given extra sheets, no duvet no pillow and to make matters worse the soiled bedding was left in the shower for two nights!!. definitely not what we would expect, reducing us to one shower and not being able to use the two that we had booked!. when I told guest services on checking out, her response was I should have phoned out of ours services!!!.. no apology. I don't expect to have to ask for things more than once.
Ian (21 August 2017)

Great place for the kids, some of the facilities are a bit dated and in need of refurbishment, but overall a very relaxing stay.
Antony from Rushden (21 August 2017)

Great for families. Accommodation just as described. only downside was location of beach. I was holidaying with a 6 year old and a less mobile friend who could not manage either the descent to the beach and certainly not the return trip from beach.
Christine from Sherborne, Dorset (21 August 2017)

Great for kids, with plenty going on to keep little people happy. staff were always attentive and friendly.
Andrew from Prestwood (21 August 2017)

We had a wonderful week at whitecliff bay. It is our second time there. This was marred, however, by the horrendously loud "rock around the bay" event which disturbed our young children and us! those who attended the event also broke apparatus in the children's playground close by which disappointed our children on our last day
Alice from Hemel Hempstead (19 August 2017)

We had a wonderful holiday and the staff team responded immediately if anything needed sorting. If were to visit the holiday park again we would look to secure a caravan with the railings round which would give the youngsters more freedom outside. Taking a one year old and three year old meant that they could not take full advantage of some of the facilities due to age/height restrictions but there were good play parks and supervised swimming opportunities to keep the older children and the (supervised) littlies separate.
Olwen from Staffordshire (19 August 2017)

Overpriced for the size of chalet
Jacqueline (19 August 2017)

A great park would def go back again
Martin from Bedfordshire (18 August 2017)

We had a wonderful time , the caravan was spacious and in great condition . the kids loved the entertainment in the evenings and the play areas .the pools were lovely but could use some updating .
Kim from Southampton (18 August 2017)

Excellent staff, great location, superb weather & happy kids! what's not to like?
Simon from Great Missenden (18 August 2017)

Lovely park and accommodation, food in restaurant was brilliant too.
Estella from Portsmouth (14 August 2017)

This was our first stay on a caravan park and our first trip to the isle of wight. we had the most wonderful time at whitecliff bay. all of the staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. the holidaymakers certainly lived up to their name - entertaining our kids throughout the day and then the quality of entertainment in the evening was exceptional. it would be nice if there were more activities for the children which did not incur an additional cost.
Serena from Bracknell (12 August 2017)

Lack of facilities, not a supreme caravan that I paid a large amount of money for, not exactly clean, not on main site. I started coming to this site around 28 years ago and it was better then. Will not come back and will not recommend.
Marianne from Essex (12 August 2017)

Beautifully clean and well presented caravan. Parking safe and convenient. Location excellent. A very enjoyable experience.
Alan from Biggleswade (12 August 2017)

100% happiness
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Colindale,London (11 August 2017)

Was not impressed with where our caravan was situated. car parking was a nightmare. no allocated parking for the caravan. everyone using each others spaces, from other caravans. went out and when we got back there was no where to park outside the caravan!! mother has heart problems and it was not relaxing having to find somewhere to park. . swimming pool and kids soft play needed updating. not child friendly. been to other holiday sites where swimming pool caters for younger children, with smaller slides, buckets tipping out water etc. . pleased there was soft play but it was very small. . . beach lovely. . . kids outdoor play area was very good. like the fact of it being undercover. . . . paid a lot of money for holiday and expected site to be more modern than it was.
Sarah from Dunstable (11 August 2017)

Resort was very disappointing pool closed for over an hour in middle of day. Kids club started much later then previous holiday parks i've stayed in. Could not believe that they had sold out of the bears for the kids ridiculous its the beginning of august no one could tell me when or if they would get any more very disappointing for my young boys. Paying £2.00 per child every time they wanted to play crazy golf was a joke no mention of this in the brochure. Only one free activity in kids club every day rest had to be paid for. Seems like they just wanted as much extra money as possible. Would visit isle of wight again but would stay well away from this holiday park
Darren from Saltdean (11 August 2017)

Great time just shame jolly nice chalet was attached to neighbours by door very noisy if told when booking would have paid extra to get separate chalet great idea scrabble
Paul from Windmill Hill (11 August 2017)

Good enjoyable and relaxing time. Nice views of the horizon especially at sunset.
Customer 70 from Leicester (07 August 2017)

Good base but 1st caravan did not feel clean - smelt of smoke and dogs- we were moved to another one which was cleaner but not on such a nice spot on the park ( by tennis/basketball courts)
Caroline (05 August 2017)

Absolutely amazing fun for all. My family had such a wonderful time. We had a value chalet needed updating maybe next time we will stay caravan but will be returning.
Ellie from Buckinghamshire (05 August 2017)

There are areas that need updating and refurb such as indoor pool and changing area. The nab bar and lounge and all toilets which were constantly messy. There seems to be no cleaning rota.
Gail from Bham (05 August 2017)

Had a lovely stay. Staff were very friendly. The caravan was ideal size for the family, it is just a shame that the settee area the seats were badly stained.
Susan from Southampton (05 August 2017)

Out of season this would be a nice park but in the summer school holidays it is obviously busy but the facilities are not big enough to cater for the amount of holiday makers. The pool was always full and was a bit grotty and you had to be at the entertainment centre before 7pm to have any chance of getting a table. They were not fully stocked with simple things like slush puppies, children's character toys etc.. everything was "on order don't know when it's coming". . . the beach was lovely, once you knew to go down the right hand pathway (the left leads you to a stony beach and once the tide is in you cannot reach the sandy side) and we had some lovely days on the beach. . . the new children's park is small but good and is covered so usable in the rain. . . cars park anywhere, including on grass outside caravans, not just in designated spaces which isn't great for young families as you never know when a car will appear.
Barry from Kent (05 August 2017)

Hi. . the chalet was really dirty. If you looked under the bed or remove a cushion from the sofa you will understand what I mean. . the park itself was nice enough and the facilities where adequate. It would have been nice to have more on for the kids in terms of entertainment - especially if the weather is bad - maybe some shows.
Evonne (05 August 2017)

The scores I have awarded above are such a shame. you have everything at whitecliff to score top marks throughout with just more effort to be made on a few key things. the chalet we stayed in was unfortunately not clean when we arrived. the kitchen floor was dusty and crumb covered especially around the bin which was dusty and dirty too. The bathroom was very tired and not to a high level of cleanliness either. both of these things are so easy to rectify which is why I feel it such a shame. . . the second point I want to make, however, is far more disappointing. in our four day stay we visited the in door pool only once. the reason being is the disgusting level of cleanliness in the changing rooms. the whole changing room reeked of urine - this obviously is due to extremely poor and disgusting behaviour of some of your customers but must be monitored by staff to avoid the actions of a few affecting all others. I was not the only one to have experienced this and spoke with numerous other visitors - I am sure I do not need to tell you how damaging this is for your brand and reputation. . lastly, when checking out, I was asked if we had enjoyed our stay. I responded saying it was okay but not great and a disappointing in some ways. I was shocked that the 'customer service professional' representing your business did not ask any further questions. please feel free to contact me should you require any further details.
Dee from Winslow (04 August 2017)

Really enjoyed our time at the park, kids loved the outside and indoor pools where we observed very good safety controls by the lifeguards, pools could be updated in the future to a larger size. Staff were friendly, no issues getting around.
Matthew from Uckfield (04 August 2017)

The location is a wonderful place for walks and sights, the camp is very poorly managed, dirty, and very poor value for money!! had to wait 1 hour for mins for our dinner to be served for 2,which cost around £60, and was just a piece of micro waved chicken,if you like your food please avoid this place you will starve at a costly price. There is no internet connection which they do advertise, also we had no phone connection in the area, we als paid for a shower in our accommodation there was no shower, I could not wait for our holiday to finnish so we could leave this very poorly managed and dirty and expensive place, anyone that does go to this camp there is a nice inn about 10 mins walk which serve amazing food and drinks at a reasonable price , that's where we spent all of our holiday. Thanks again whitecliff bay for a rip off holiday I will never book with you again ..
Tony from London (04 August 2017)

A great place to stay. Only advice would be to entertainment facilities in that when a big act is booked (e.g. Bgt finalist) ensure the club house is ready for a high number of guests and seating is arranged prior to act starting.
Chelsie from Bristol (04 August 2017)

Our caravan was lovely and perfect for our family of 5 with 3 small children (5 and under). my parents stayed in a chalet and it was horrific; smelt awful and had stained mattress, door didn't lock properly and space was very limited. We found the security and entertainment staff very helpful, they couldn't do enough to help and made us feel very comfortable. The office and management were not so helpful. They have the bare minimal regarding info about the park. No wifi info supplied, the launderette only takes old £1 coins but reception were sending people there without bothering to tell them, then telling them on the phone to come back to reception to change their coins! the office side of the administration just seemed very poorly managed. Inside pool was ok but def needs a refurb. On day one my son was tall enough for the water slide but for the rest of the holiday he was too short! nab bar waiting staff very unhelpful and somewhat rude. Over an hour waiting for food at times when there were lots of empty tables around us and the staff just walked off without offering advise on how much longer. On the day we left we went there for breakfast and met a queue of people outside who said the staff hadn't showed up so it was still closed. Supposed to open at 9am- we gave up hope at 9.20am and left because our ferry was at 11.30 so we couldn't afford to wait longer. We would consider staying here again but won't be rushing back
Louise from Thurrock (31 July 2017)

Great for my 6 year old nephew
Hazel from London (31 July 2017)

Its a brilliant place with kids. Well maintained with a private beach access. Sorroundings are b nice n clean caravans
Hrishikesh from Burnham (31 July 2017)

Took our grandchildren for a week. They loved it, especially the beach, the pools and the night entertainment. . the mobile was a new one - excellent condition, with all amenities. lovely country view out of the window. . minus points though for:- 1). not enough pedestrian pavements with opportunity for traffic / pedestrian accidents - especially the 4 x 4 buggies which sped about. . 2) the indoor pool was a bit tatty and I was surprised to see workmen trying to repair the tile floor during a session (pool vacated) with the water still in!
Paul from Stamford (31 July 2017)

We had a great time and we felt it was the best park we have stayed in
Laura (31 July 2017)

Abosouly rubbish run down and dirty. No wifi even though website stated. Have to pay for kids to do any activities. And no decent places to eat on camp.
Charlotte from Swindon (29 July 2017)

The worst accommodation we have ever stayed in very dirty not clean at all management was not helpful and none accommodating very disappointed after waiting a year to go definitively will not return to this holiday park
Michael from Bristol (29 July 2017)

Lovely cliff top location. Very disappointing to not be able to go in the outdoor pool for a whole day because dying the water the previous day had caused problems - sunny days were precious.
Cb (29 July 2017)

Mobile home was fantastic . but unfortunately neighbour would go out every day and leave 2 dogs unatended therefore constant barking during day and evening . reported to reception but nothing got resolved . totally ruined holiday as we have young children that couldn't sleep
Andy from Bracknell (29 July 2017)

The staff were polite. Our chalet was very dirty and had fleas. Myself and my baby were bitten several times while on the sofa or laying on the main bed. The restaurant was also dirty. I don't think we will return to white cliffe bay. The fleas have put us off.
Elaine from Hempstead Kent (28 July 2017)

Caravan was described as luxury but I wouldn't describe it as that. It was smaller than others I had used on other parks, had no verandah and a broken door to the second toilet. The facilities on the park were a little tired and the service in the bar/restaurant unbelievably slow. The best point was the friendliness of the staff in all areas.
Ed from Maidstone (28 July 2017)

Kids loved the swimming in door pool could do with a refub loge was lovely and clean as we left it hub food was good
Edward from Windsor (28 July 2017)

This is a lovely setting and our 3 bedroom chalet was beautifully clean however having paid for 3 bedrooms for 6 people, 4 outdoor chairs was inadequate. guest services and shop very smart and shop supplied everything we looked for. however although the bar and indoor pool were well positioned they were both very tired and needed updating and redecorating. outdoor pool looked lovely but closed on the sunday with no real explanation except one member of staff said there was a problem with it, and when you check in friday at 2.30 and leave monday at 10.00 this was a big hit
Diana from Yeovil, Somerset (24 July 2017)

We had a lovely time ,caravan was tidy and clean well equipped spacious and nice verander to sit outside ,my only criticism is the walk down to the beach having had lung cancer a few years ago and had one of my lungs taken away I found it quit a struggle which is a great shame as its a beautiful beach so maybe you could offer some sort of help in way of transport for people with such disabilities , which would be a great help , we found the staff to be very friendly ,the chap in your shop was very helpful friendly and a very cheerful chap all in all we had a very nice pleasant and enjoyable holiday .
Kathleen from Pulborough West Sussex (22 July 2017)

One of the best sites we have been on.
Susan from Leicester (22 July 2017)

Lovely location and very clean caravans. Could do with more sun loungers around the pool and smarten up the old club house as you look at it all day whilst relaxing around the pool. I.e. Dirty net curtains and half broken curtains. Very friendly and helpful leisure staff.
Marie from Leicester (22 July 2017)

Wasps wasps & wasps!!. . children's entertainment poor. . food @ the nab (microwave/pre-packed) & often not as per description . . use of outdoor pool chaotic when busy as time was limited to 45mins, so once you had the children organised & in you had to get out and leave the poolside!?! no signs explaining and lifeguards implementing numbers rather than eyes on the water
Marian (22 July 2017)

We enjoyed our first family vacation away, the grounds are spotless and your team work very hard to make sure the area is kept clean and tidy. the bar next to the pool is great, small and at times, unorganised, the food was delicious and the pricing not too bad. the toilet facilities could be kept a little bit better, but with children in and out all day, I can understand it's hard to keep. some of the tables inside the bar could do with a bit of tlc. . . the walk down to the beach and beach cafe wasn't accessible to my parents due to disabilities so would be a great touch if there was a lift down (very much doubt it is possible) but would definitely be a great touch as mum really wanted to see it. her scooter would now have made that very steep hill. :-). . all in all, a fab holiday!
Philip (22 July 2017)

Second visit for us and we will be back again.
Claire from Havant (17 July 2017)

Love this park been before and will be back again only thing I can comment bad on is the chalets they are old run down and need completely rebuilding the caravans though are lovely probably because most are privately owned and rented out by the park. But to be fair your out most days visiting this beautidul island so who cares
Steve from Kent (15 July 2017)

Lovely luxury caravan with dishwasher & washing machine. Resort had 2 pools, one outside that was heated & very good. Entertainment provided but did not use as older children with us. Would definitely visit again. Staff were helpful when we needed them.
Ann Marie from Hailsham (15 July 2017)

White cliff bay is a stunning place to spend your holiday with a fantastic beach really nice wonky cafe on the beach ,the staff in the park are fantastic, hope to come back again. Also worth the walk to the culver cliff inn at the top of the cliff the most helpful landlord you will ever meet.
Gary from Colchester (10 July 2017)

Had a very enjoyable holiday at this park, would definitely recommend.
Samantha from Worcester (08 July 2017)

The site was in a stunning location and caravans very clean. Campsite had good facilities. The 2 fire exit windows of our caravan wouldn't have worked (one had storage outside it and other had prickly bush). also smallest bedroom was so impracticle. Other than that our holiday was superb and we'd definitely recommend and return. Thank you
Colin from Swindon (07 July 2017)

Very nice park .booked 3 caravans .2 were lovely sadly one was not upto standard was offered 2 others but were basicalky same .. apart from that was happy
Clive from West Molesey (03 July 2017)

Travelled over in 2 groups to celebrate a big birthday. location and close proximity to beach is great. Site itself has enough to keep young children happy but needs a little tlc on certain areas but definitely good value for the price we paid.
Vivienne from Gosport (03 July 2017)

Had a lovely time away and can't wait to return. Even considering looking into holiday home ownership! location is beautiful and the staff especially the security team were friendly and very helpful 10/10
Leanne from Littlehampton (03 July 2017)

We had a really good time. The caravan and views were amazing.
Sandra from Portsmouth (03 July 2017)

It is what it is, very dated and full of screaming children.
Richard from Fleet (03 July 2017)

First impressions were ok. caravan was nice and tidy and was all good except for the double bed being covered in large cling film wrap and plastic bags under the sheets - felt like being a child on a protected mattress - needless to say that came off! uncertain why on earth it was on there. . entertainment was poor most nights - in house entertainment only except two nights - all of which could not sing. bingo was extremely expensive and did not reflect the prize money paid. entertainment venue opened at 6.30pm but you had to sit and wait for the bar to open until 7pm. entertainment for the little ones did not begin until 8pm - way too late for the real little ones (2 yr olds) who got bumped and banged by all the other older children. Amusements - very limited selection for the young children and were broken majority of the stay. Food - well poor is all I can say. ordered food on first night and was told complete different prices to what was advertised on big board's by the food area - no meal deal despite it being advertised; pizzas more expensive than advertised and under cooked; chips not cooked and cold; when ordering the food at 9.40 (as this was last orders) the cook raised his eyebrows at the thought of having to cook another meal - I can only assume that he was eager to leave early perhaps! did not eat on site again after that!. bar - staff polite except one lady who barely smiled! limited drinks - advertised bud beer but then told do not sell it. certain drinks they ran out of. nab bar was good and friendly staff. Site very unsuitable for disabled users or those with mobility difficulties despite being advised beforehand that it was suitable. booked through hoseasons who personally telephoned the site before booking to check. Staff - mostly very nice and helpful - a few rude ones who were defensive rather than apologetic! one young chap at the outdoor swimming pool was very nice and friendly and should be complimented for the effort he made to welcome guests. security and shop staff also nice, friendly and helpful. Repairs - had a faulty boiler so no heating and hot water however they visited very quickly and repaired it so this was positive. the negative was that we returned from an outing to find our caravan open and 2 workmen inside - they were fixing the leak which would have been fine if we had been notified - we appreciate that repairs need fixing and it is difficult when you have customers in/out on the same day but it would have been nice to have been asked if it was ok! . swimming pool - outdoor one very good despite heating breaking down and pool not being heated as described on a couple of occasions. indoor pool way too small in size - could not properly swim in it and would pity those staying during school half terms if the outdoor pool is closed. Soft play area dirty and unclean. parts of the site were clean and tidy and looked great and other parts were run down and shabby/dirty looking. We were visiting during the season period so expected better than what we got. would definitely not stay there again although would re-visit the isle of wight as this was beautiful.
April from Wiltshire (01 July 2017)

Absolutely lovely holiday, lots of love for dog owners. Only problem for some visitors would be the the steep descent to the beach. Lovely beach with cafe's but maybe golf carts to help elderly to get back to site could be arranged
Paula (30 June 2017)

Not for old or disabled as the site is very hilly
Anthony from Wickford (30 June 2017)

We loved the location and thought the outdoor pool was very nice but the indoor pool was very small. The staff in the pool were too strict and it spoilt our enjoyment a bit. For example not allowing inflatables in the deep end of the outdoor pool when no one else was using the pool except my family. Rather silly and intolerant.
Chantal from Ryde (26 June 2017)

Really enjoyed our week at the holiday park. Chalet was very equipped and clean. Perfect for families with little children.
Louise from Wetherby (26 June 2017)

The bar area, while nicely set out, inside is a considerable disappointment. The menu would not encourage one to have a remotely sophisticated meal. . a super place, a lovely holiday - thankyou - but we were out of season!!
Anthony from Leicester (26 June 2017)

Very good site. Friendly staff. In a great place. . clean beach. . good local pubs. . good to watch the planes landing and taking off . . . great site
Michael from Bolton (24 June 2017)

Beautiful views. . . I will be returning.
Ray (23 June 2017)

Absolutely love it there, we went in 2016, 2017 and rebooked ( with an extra week) for 2018
Trudi from Thornbury Bristol (19 June 2017)

We really enjoyed our stay at whitecliff bay holiday park, the staff were very friendly and the facilities were very good. the restaurant food was lovely. . the club was nice and big and had plenty of seats and we loved the music, and the security staff were very friendly. . . the site was very clean and the staff worked none stop to keep it clean. . we were very very pleased with the cleanliness of the holiday home we had, the bedding and towels were spotless and we could not get over having the extras, including the tea bags, jar of coffee, bag of sugar, large milk and large packet of biscuits waiting for us, that was a really nice welcome. . we would definitely recommend the holiday park, and, would definitely come back.
Terence from Winchester (17 June 2017)

Not the best holiday park I have been too - I personally did not eat at the restaurant as when we went to have a look in it was very dirty - food left on tables and floors. . . we did not use the outdoor pool due to weather conditions and indoor pool was far too busy. this was out of school holidays so goodness knows what the indoor pool would be like in school holidays. . . great beach for the kids a 5 mins walk away and good evening entertainment if you are under 9.
Denise from Whitby (09 June 2017)

Probably the worse place I have ever visited to stay. . . the beach was down the steepest hill ever, would be no good for disabled/ elderly. The one and only shop in complex shut way too early so if you needed stuff you had to go without if you didn't have car. . the food in the club was fried cheap rubbish and expensive! . . the caravan opposite threw rubbish outside door when they left and was ripped apart leaving junk and dirty nappies as our view for nearly 48 hours. I reported this when we signed out. . . we could not wait to go home, worst holiday ever and complete waste of money!!! . . avoid at all costs - dirty, expensive , boring place. . mrs walker
Sheree from Llantrisant (05 June 2017)

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Very satisfied with chalet all very clean, grounds kept to a good standard. beach assessable, great views.
Thomas from Coventry (26 May 2017)

A good location ,not ideal for poor mobility,so many slopes and inclines.staff friendly and helpful.good bus route to see the island.accomodation good .clean fresh and spacious. . food hit and miss at the restaurant.not always value for money.very disappointing. . but will use the destination again
Jenny from Gosport (22 May 2017)

Very good only falt no pizza to take away x
John from Gloucester (22 May 2017)

Lovely place to stay. Great for kids.
Zoe from Woking (19 May 2017)

Best holiday we've had in the uk!! will most definitely come back!!
Kirstie from Southampton (19 May 2017)

This was a break we all needed the caravan was shabby with ants everywhere the entertainment was very poor and for the entertainment staff well if they worked for me then I would of sack all of them, the only people that new what they were doing was the bar staff.
Stephen from Isle Of Wight (15 May 2017)

Great place to stay, beautiful surroundings & good entertainment for all ages.
Tammy from Northampton (15 May 2017)

We went mid may and half the things on the site werent open yet which was disappointing and not mentioned in the brochure. trying to find out what evening entertainment was on before we got there so I knew what else to organise was impossible!! the unit was nice - and well looked after though. the staff were all friendly and most if the entertainment was good but please - no more magicians!!
Ruth from Berkshire (13 May 2017)

Thoughly enjoyed our stay.
Christine from Stourbridge (13 May 2017)

Our caravan was very comfortable and clean. plenty to do on site but we did spend most of our time elsewhere on the island. my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter have booked to come again in october, this time staying in the canvas cottages.
Frances from Aylesbury (12 May 2017)

We had a really good break. The only criticism is we were not made aware there would not be towels and tea towels in the accommodation and there are some kitchen utensils missing. Other than that great site and would definitely return!
Charlotte from Northampton (08 May 2017)

Great holiday, we will come again, all my family enjoyed it ;)
Oksana (08 May 2017)

The park is good, it was although quite disappointing to see outdoor pool was not working and also the kids activities were not very well maintained, the swimming pool was very small.
Prashant from London (01 May 2017)

Holiday park was great all the staff was helpful and friendly. Food was good at takeaway and restaurant. Entertainment was good and funny.
Robert from Paignton (01 May 2017)

Make sure your not to close to club house very loud base at night
Liz from Bristol (01 May 2017)

Enjoyed our weeks holiday
Denise from Littlehampton (29 April 2017)

No toilet roll upon arrival, the chalet was not cleaned to an acceptable standard, the bedrooms had no socket points or mirrors, the tv control was unreliable, there were tears in the seam of one duvet cover, access to the beach was difficult for the infirm
John from Newbiggin-By-The-Sea (29 April 2017)

Accommodation and site good will go again
Kate from Guildford (28 April 2017)

We would have enjoyed our holiday more if the weather had not been so cold but whitecliff bay was good value for money.
Norman from Ramsgate Kent (28 April 2017)

It was great place to stay and located very near to places like shanklin and sandown beach and has beautiful private beach access. Overall value for money
Srikanth (24 April 2017)

First visit and loved the new caravans we were allocated! disappointed with the pool, it needs updating. The sports lounge looked inviting from the outside but again disappointing once you get inside, however only a 5 minute drive to get takeaways. Bingo was fun, kids loved body zorbing and arcade. Luckily arcade not to big or noisy! good holiday overall and have already booked to go again.
Diane from Andover (21 April 2017)

Lovely park and location and overall was excellent value for money. The shower unit in the chalet was impossible to use as the unit kept flicking from hot to cold to hot again (flashing lights indicating poor pressure) the pool building needs modernising which I felt was the biggest let down and felt dark and dingy. If this had been brighter, more modern and perhaps the windows and doors in the chalet double glazed and more secure I would have happily paid more to stay. I will certainly return but will perhaps request and pay extra for a better chalet next time.
Howard from Eastbourne (21 April 2017)

A very well run site with extremely helpful and cheerful staff .
Susan (21 April 2017)

The luxury caravan accommodation was excellent. Spacious, clean, and in full working order. The site location was excellent as well. Located in a quiet small village, with a private beach at the back of the site, with picturesque views. The dinner we had at the on/site pub restaurant was also excellent and good value for money. For those requiring a range of gluten free options, these are also available. . the main negative was the indoor swimming pool. It was small, dingy, and the only attraction (the flume) was out of order. The children's play area near reception was good if a little small. But the children's play area behind the restaurant was limited, old and broken. I would perhaps stay here again, but maybe in peak season when the outdoor pool is additionally open.
Justin from Fareham (17 April 2017)

We were very disappointed with our accommodation. We booked a luxury caravan, it was an old caravan with dirty carpets, grubby sofas and a funny smell. The local beach was great but otherwise I wouldn't recommend this site.
David (17 April 2017)

Impressed at the improvement from our first visit in 2013. Would highly recommend the jolly nice chalet
Kelly (17 April 2017)

Very basic caravan with single glazed windows and no heating in the bathrooms or bedrooms. Swimming pool was very tired and the slide out of action due to paint flaking off.
Kevin (14 April 2017)

Not brilliant. the clubhouse is awful, very antiquated. The toilets continously had no toilet paper. On our first day, I went to go the toilet (ladies) in the clubhouse at lunchtime and there was only 1 toilet that had toilet paper in it. In the evening, about 8pm I went there again and no toilet had any paper so I had to ask for paper to be put into every toilet. the toilets were a mess, one of the toilet doors looked like it was about to fall off its hinges and was propped up from the floor with a bit of concrete or something. the 'diner' in the clubhouse did not had pizzas, although it advertised that it had on the chalk board. At the restaurant at the other end of site, they ran out of merlot on our first day, and said they never had any more - however on our last day when I mentioned this to the manageress behind the bar, she said that was not true and showed me the bottle of merlot. we were told every day there was none. there was no sauvignon blanc, and with regards to rose, that was only zinfandel. At same restaurant, when I asked for a latte, the machine gave me a hot chocolate. When I pointed this out the guy behind the bar looked confused and said, ' but I pressed the button for a latte', so I said ' but I have hot chocolate'. then he admitted that the machine had been playing up for a while. I said could I have a refund and he said he wasnt sure how to do this as there was a problem with the till. However, he had the cash still in his hand that I had just given him (?!!). our meal at the restaurant on the last night was awful. my salad was missing half the ingredients, I basically was going to be charged £12 for a few spinach leaves. my friends steak was not cooked as she had requested. My daughter's roast chicken came withouth the potatoes and vegetables but with chips and cucumber slices! it was a shambles. when I asserted this information to the scottish manager lady on duty, she eventually said to me 'what do you want me to do about this'. it was not good. ultimately, she did the right thing, and only charged for the drinks. However, all very disappointing. The swimming pool was not in a good state with chipped tiles etc. I would never come here again. The caravan, which was privately owned, however, was great.
Sarah from Wantage, Oxfordshire (14 April 2017)

Lovely caravan park, pool not as big as we thought but ok for what we needed. The evening entertainment was very loud, to the point our son didn't want to go again after the 1st visit. . overall, the facilities could do with an update but we would go back.
Anna from Essex (14 April 2017)
