Fantastic place to stay very secluded and beautiful
Kirk from Worcester (10 October 2016)

Great holiday in a perfect location
Cheryl from Derby (30 September 2016)

Lovely location close to great western canal. Ideal for exploring the local area and relaxing.
June from Eastleigh (26 September 2016)

Great weekend in hopper with a very warm welcome from the owner. Hot tub was lovely regardless of the weather!. very well equipped with everything you could need. We loved it!
Sally from Bournemouth (26 September 2016)

Really lovely stay. warm welcome, property kept to a high standard and location peaceful. hot tub a lovely bonus
Jonathan from Bognor Regis (26 September 2016)

Very private, didn't see anyone else that was staying on the site all week. We feel that some of the previous feedback is unfair, there was some road noise but nothing that really bothered us. Be sure to make a note of the travel directions as there are no road signs for the park. Good to get a phone call prior to arrival
Glenda from Scunthorpe (26 September 2016)

Ideal place to stay, to tour surrounding locations . very warm welcome on arriving was raining when we arrived but this didn't put us of going in the hot tub, . will defiantly go back again.
Peter from Lincolnshire (23 September 2016)

We had a great time away, ideal for walks and close proximity to restaurants and towns. very relaxing.
Tracy from Reading (16 September 2016)

Lovely quiet location and being so close to the canal was great for long walks with the dog
Adrian from Truro (16 September 2016)

Fantastic place for a romantic weekend break. Would definitely go again!
Michelle from Plymouth (05 September 2016)

As always, wonderful location, well equipped lodge and the hot tub was fantastic for all the family, watching the constellations under the stars.
Tan (02 September 2016)

Fantastic stay, would go again. Only thing would be to have an 11am checkout time
Natalie from Poole (29 August 2016)

A lovely break in a lovely quiet location. Great just to chill out in the hot tub and loved having evening bbq's. . . would definitely recommend to couples and groups who just want a quiet getaway.
Christopher from Manchester (29 August 2016)

We had a great time, accommodation was nice, loved the hot tub and location was peaceful with access to other attractions never too far.
Damien from Hertford (22 August 2016)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at whipcott. We were in the barge cottage. The hot tub was a great way to relax and we were within easy reach of beaches. Would definitely consider staying at whipcott again
Customer 15 from London (15 August 2016)

Good location as is just over the devon/somerset border, and easy transport links (just off m5) to towns with shops and amenities within 10-20 mins. lovely rural setting, canal over the road. we did not notice any traffic noise. it was a nice small and quiet site - our cottage felt very private. we had the advantage of a small enclosed garden - ideal for safety of our toddler and dog - it was lovely sitting out surrounded by hanging baskets, climbing plants and a limestone wall - the stars at night were something else. we all enjoyed the hot-tub. the cottage/lodge itself was ideal for us - a family of 5 with a dog - plenty of room; very clean; comfortable. . negatives - we didn't feel anything affected our holiday - yes it was not to some peoples perfect standards but I felt that getting a dog-friendly lodge with hot-tub in devon at peak season it was very fairly priced tbh
Elizabeth from Silsden (05 August 2016)

Had a lively holiday here, very peaceful. The lodge was central to many things which made it easy to visit different places. Would definitely go back again.
Charlotte from Pontypridd (01 August 2016)

We stayed in hilltop lovely cottage very clean well equipped.hot tub was a great way to end the day. Views were great the only down side is the approach its a track up the hill our car has a low undercarriage so each journey was a slow process due to dips and stones
Andrea from Gosport (01 August 2016)

Loved the break away, sue is a wonderfully friendly host, great quiet location and great to have walks by the canal. Might have to try a week here next time to make the most of the things on offer
Abigail from Chipping Norton (01 August 2016)

Lovely, quiet location.
Charlotte from Gloucester (25 July 2016)

Great break - good facilities in the accommodation, relaxed and fun. Peaceful location but local enough to shops etc in car :) good base
Mark from Widnes (25 July 2016)

Very nice location. Pleasant owners.
Michael from Cowes (22 July 2016)

Had a great time , really enjoyed the lodge and the hot tub , will defiantly be going back
Tom (18 July 2016)

Very relaxing break near to canal
Jane from Bridlington (18 July 2016)

Perfect place for some chill out time, very quiet area, fab hot tub lodge well maintained and equipped. Informative packs in lodge and owner happy to advise. Ideal for dog walking down the canal and a lovely first holiday for our pup. We were lucky to have stayed during one of the hottest weekends, seemed to be a few flies around which stopped us opening windows so lodge very hot. Nothing fly spray wouldn't help though! overall a lovely break for some time out.
Michelle from Weymouth (18 July 2016)

Great location for our family holiday, close to a friendly golf course who welcomed us & allowed children to play on their 9 hole course. Lovely to be so close (just cross road) to the great western canal, where we walked, kayaked & cycled (hired bikes from the globe in sampford peverll)
Ann from Peterborough (15 July 2016)

Great holiday .very relaxing.lodge well equipped.
Robert from Torquay (15 July 2016)

We absolutely loved our stay at whipcott water, it's only a shame that we spent so much time out and about during our stay that we didn't actually get to spend that much time there. The accommodation had everything you could wish for and was very clean and tidy on our arrival. We stayed in wicket, the last cottage along the lane and was ideal for us having the dog due to the garden being able to be totally closed off, this also makes the whole garden & hottub very private. Whipcott water is in a very secluded location so is very quiet but there is a very full and informative folder in the cottage of all the local amenities including pubs, restaurants & takeaways which we found very helpful. We would definitely recommend whipcott water and stay there again.
Simon from Leicester (11 July 2016)

Very enjoyable
Sarah (11 July 2016)

Friendly staff members who were helpful in getting us settled in. The overall area was lovely and lush, the hot tub was an excellent added feature and thoroughly enjoyable. Local food was also highly enjoyable. Not many complaints.
Ian from Reading (08 July 2016)

Lorry's going past from 7.30 in the morning
Ann from Derbyshire (08 July 2016)

Beautiful rural lodge. Hot tub is very private. Staff are lovely, would definitely return.
Elizabeth (01 July 2016)

Just what we required, we had a lovely stay. It didn't bother us but heavy vehicles from the quarry often pass by.
Adam (01 July 2016)

Lovely quiet spot in the country , would recommend it to friends. Close to all the amenities .
Michael from Camborne (17 June 2016)

Amazing location, hot tub and cabin! you have so much more than advertised!! definitely worth the trip! x
Emma from Winchester (17 June 2016)

Couldn't rate the staff as we never saw any throughout the whole time we were there. We had to just let ourselves in and read messages left on the dining table. That aside the lodge was brilliant and the hot tub was amazing. It was our honeymoon and we certainly relaxed and the surroundings were so picturesque. Waking up to the sound of birds every morning was special. Would definitely stay there again.
Leigh from Hampshire (17 June 2016)

We had an amazing time sue was very helpful and the accomadtion was lovely and clean. The hot tub just made our holiday.
Charlotte from Kettering (10 June 2016)

I am a full time wheelchair user and found the lodge to be perfect for me and my family. the accommodation is well laid out and the extra things i.e. Of chair leg raisers were an added bonus as is the adjustable beds. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Daphne from Sapperton (10 June 2016)

A beautiful accommodation in a tranquil setting allowed a peaceful break away and with the added bonus with the hot tub. Fabulous. Was made very welcome on arrival and knowledgable staff regarding surround areas and attractions
Laura from Pontypool (10 June 2016)

A very clean lodge with everything you need. Sue was there to welcome us and gave us lots of local top tips. A very relaxing holiday walking along the canal, fishing and of course chilling in the hot tub!
Jessica from Southampton (03 June 2016)

Really good week in a quiet location, with the canal so close for excellent walking.
Jane from Horsham (03 June 2016)

Very good, will definitely book again.
Jessica from Doncaster (03 June 2016)

We had a lovely stay at whipcott water, it was a great base to go and see loads of attraction within an hour away. The lodge its self was lovely but could do with updating
Ceri-Ann (27 May 2016)

Excellent would advise to take plenty of food and supplies,as very remote
Mandy from Cardiff (27 May 2016)

The property was beautifully clean and glad everything we needed. The only thing I did not like was the fact the bucket and mop were kept in the wardrobe downstairs.
Rosamund (20 May 2016)

Lovely place, everything you needed was provided, hot tub was great. And to be able to walk and ride along the tow path which is just across the road is a big bonus.
Vivien from Bristol (09 May 2016)

Lovely location, really friendly host's couldn't do enough to help. would highly recommended.
Alyn from Pontypridd (09 May 2016)

We had great holiday one of the best lodges we have stay in
Kelvin (02 May 2016)

Lovely quiet location, we went to cheddar gorge about 50 mins away.
Amanda from Ongar (02 May 2016)

Lovely weekend here for my birthday, cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Hot tub was cleaned every morning, the lady who owned the site was lovely and helpful. Would definatley recommend here, for a family, group of friends or couples! I will definatley be going back
Steph from South Wales (25 April 2016)

Lovely house . quite basic . surroundings but too close to other cabins and busy road . canal path a bonus for evening walk otherwise no where to go on foot
Yvette from Christchurch (08 April 2016)

It was a very enjoyable, relaxed holiday. The local pubs were excellent and the place was well-situated. Would go again.
Jon from Bristol (04 April 2016)

Being a wheelchair user myself I found the front door difficult to access the property and got stuck on the threshold. . the bathroom was very smelly and the drop down handle to assist getting up from toilet was too far away. the should have been another grab rail in shower. . no where for the wheelchair user to sit in evening. A recliner riser chair would have been brilliant. Very difficult getting across carpet in wheelchair. For the cost, it could have been better. . for a non wheelchair user it was ok. Bed was very comfortable.
Joanne (28 March 2016)

The lodge did not live up to the usual standard and was tired and old fashioned. . there were about 3/4 items not working which we advised the owner of when we left. . the lodge is sited 5/6 yards from a busy road with aggregate lorries passing every 20 minutes so not at all peaceful from 8am till 4 pm. All round disappointing.
Ian from Torquay (25 March 2016)

We stayed in wharf lodge. It was really lovely. We were welcomed by sue on our arrival, who was super helpful showing us how everything worked. There are also instructions in the lodge for everything (very useful) and lots of great info about the local area. Sue spent time suggesting places for us to eat, which was very kind. The lodge is really spacious and has everything you could need, even shampoo which was great as I forgot mine!! it was really clean and very comfortable. Other posts have commented on the noise from the road but we honestly didn't have any problem with noise, maybe it's just on the weekdays. The highlight for us was the hottub, what a treat! it's warm, clean, well lit for use after dark and very private. . the location is great. It's only an easy 10-15 min drive from the m5. We went for a lovely walk along the canal on the saturday (it's literally just across the road), followed by a trip to a local pub. On the sunday we visited cheddar gorge, which is less than an hour away and a fab day out. . . the only thing I would change about this trip is I wish we had booked a longer stay in lovely wharf lodge. We will be back for sure! <3
Victoria from Gloucester (21 March 2016)

Very nice will be visiting again
Lauren from Yate (21 March 2016)

Very relaxing break. Lovely location, great cottage
Confirmed Holidaymaker (14 March 2016)

Fantastic stay. My husband and I thought the lodge was very clean and modern. Sue, the owner, phoned us a couple of days before to check all was ok and to give us directions, she met us at the lodge and showed us around, lovely lady. Hot tub was a fantastic part of the stay. We would definitely come back and next time bring the children. Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay.
Louise from Cardiff (14 March 2016)

The position was good for walking, access to north and south devon coasts. Other comments about lorries going to the quarry were justified.
Valerie (11 March 2016)

Facilities at hilltop do need to be updated, namely the bath and shower. Although a lovely cottage, the hot tub should be a little more private, however for an out of season price, this was good value for money.
Shaun (11 March 2016)

Great holiday great location. Am looking at booking again in september.
Cheryl from Derby (11 March 2016)

Lovely quiet area but noisy in the day with lorries up and down the road, I think a big re furnishing will make this place more enjoyable as very dated hot tub cover needs replacing, wouldn't call it autograph until it refurbished with new carpets curtains settee. Otherwise lovely place
Jodie (07 March 2016)

The cottage is at the top of a rutted unmade road leading up a hill, attached to the owners home. The area is peaceful and away from the busy lower road. The owners path to their home and their garages is situated at the side and bottom of the cottage garden, this means that the hot tub is not secluded. The cottage is dated, with mismatched kitchen units, and a bath panel that is both broken and a different colour to the bath. When standing in the bath to use the shower the bath flexes considerably. The cottage is warm and is located in a rural area within close reach of lots of beaches and tourist sites.
Paul from Swansea (04 March 2016)

Excellent accommodation, very well equipped. right on road which is very busy all day.
Gareth from Port Talbot (04 March 2016)

The lodge was cosy, warm and clean.very spacious.it had everything we needed.nice touch with the little extras like the tea, coffee, biscuit sachets ect.the hot tub was great.lovely and warm even in feb.all the info we needed in a booklet for places to visit or eat.would definitely stay there again.
Esther from Kidderminster (29 February 2016)

Perfect relaxing hideaway for us to spend some quality time together . facilities were fantastic everything we needed.
Joanne from Redditch (22 February 2016)

Had a lovley stay couldn't of asked for anything better was the perfect get away would recommend to everyone
Jessica from Bognor Regis (22 February 2016)

Lovely place to stay very comfortable warm and cosy.
Katrina from Blandford (15 February 2016)

We had a lovely rest at whipcott it is in an ideal position for visting both south and north devon coasts and has the great western canal just over the road. Only down side is the busy road but you get used to the lorries and they did not affect our stay.
Margaret from Coventry (05 February 2016)

One of the best we're stayed at
Phillip (25 January 2016)

Great welcome, whipcott water is so lovely and easy access to get anywhere.
Louise from Bristol (18 January 2016)

Excellent relaxing weekend - great just after the christmas festivities. well kitted out cottage and the hot tub was wonderful. The location was great for walkers with the canal just across the road. would recommend
Linda from Bristol (18 January 2016)

My husband , dog, and I have been 3 times to whipcott water we have stayed in various lodges ,we prefer the single storey ones. They are very clean, warm, and comfortable. We love the hot tub. Sue the owner always greets us on arrival we cant fault the place at all.we will be booking again soon.
Verena from Cornwall (15 January 2016)

We booked a last minute break after christmas for 3 nights. We really enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed, the hot tub was lovely and the surroundings great for walks. . would definately stay again
Lisa (30 December 2015)

Very good stay
Paul from Birmingham (07 December 2015)

Fantastic holiday!!!!
Andrew from Weston (07 December 2015)

Really enjoyed our break at whipcott water, will definitely be going back. Lovely relaxing break. Traffic noise described as infrequent, that is a bit of an understatement, didn't put us off as we have stayed at whipcott water before.
Sarah from Worcester (04 December 2015)

Lovely lodge and hot tub. Everything we needed. Could of been made cosier internally and bed very uncomfortable. Otherwise very pleasant stay.
Joanne from Plymouth (30 November 2015)

Spectacular time here. even though the weather was typical for the time of year we went. taking a dip in the hot tub at silly o clock with the chilling winds was a wonderful experience. the building was watt and cozy when we came back to it. will be back again
Tom from Harrogate (30 November 2015)

In a lovely spot. Same about the road noise from the lorries. Lots of bits to do. Perfect for the dog too
Rebekah from Evesham (27 November 2015)

Approach to property was poor. Accommodation not as luxurious as other autograph lodges we have stayed in, however did have basic amenities. Hot tub very good.
Stephen from Port Talbot (20 November 2015)

Brilliant time away. Booking up again in 2016
Kris (20 November 2015)

Overall very good indeed
Liam (20 November 2015)

Great place would go again.
Jo from Bream (20 November 2015)

The location was good, walking distance to the local pub along the canal. . . sue the owner came to meet us and was very helpful.
Andrew from Crewkerne (16 November 2015)

We found whipcott water to be a bit too far off the beaten track for our liking.
Michael from Hayes (13 November 2015)

Lovely lady owner, very spacious lodge. We personally found the beds to be uncomfortable, the constant thundering of lorries passing about 20 foot away from the lodge made it impossible to get a good nights sleep ( the only let up was for about 3 hours from around 2am - 5am ! ). i'm sure the quarry was not open all night - by the noise you could tell that the lorries were empty - possibly laying over at the quarry or maybe even milk lorries going to the farm ? our stay was mon - friday, so we did not even get to enjoy the peace & quiet of no lorries at the weekend ! wish we had read some reviews prior to booking ! we were not forewarned about the lorries !
Karen from Bournemouth (13 November 2015)

Beautiful trip we stayed 4 nights. A young city couple celebrating their two year anniversary. We loved it. We stayed in the hilltop cottage. Loved the hot tub looking up at the stars.
Selasi from London (06 November 2015)

Perfect for a short break..our 2nd visit.. a warm welcome, lovely peaceful location, well appointed lodges & super relaxing hot tubs.
Sharon from Launceston (02 November 2015)

Spent three nights here for a surprise weekend away with my partner on his birthday. . we both loved it. Had everything you needed, was comfortable and clean. The hot tub was s. O relaxing. We stayed end october/beginning of november and although it was very mild for this time of year you did not feel cold at all. The water is so warm. . was very quiet and peaceful. visited chedder gorge which was great and explored the local area. . would definately stay here again.
Suzie from Launceston (02 November 2015)

Fantastic place to get away from reality, was in the whole tub most the wkend relaxing, the lodge was lovely and comfy, only disappointing thing was the telly wouldn't except our stick and their was no where to buy dvds in nearby town so had to use free view which was hard going, if no hot tub we would of been seriously bored, walk down canal was stunning tho :-)
Jenna from Cornwall (26 October 2015)

We were looking for a short break after a long stress full time at home we normally go to cornwal but seen this and thought why not, we weren't disappointed it was lovely and relaxing, beds were very comfy the whole place was lovely and warm the iceing on the cake the hot tub which was lovely, the only down side it could do with a little more care when decorating a little more attention to detail, don't get me wrong it was all very clean and the shower could do with being a lot more powerful, but I would definitely recommend anyone to go and stay it's very relaxing
Giles (23 October 2015)

We had a lovely time at whipcott water the hot tub was fab! only negative is that we weren't aware we could just walk into the property so we're slightly confused when we first arrived as no reception etc.
Lindsay from Tavistock (23 October 2015)

Fantastic wekend!. well equipped accommodation, especially the kitchen and excellent hot tub. Definitely will return.
Kelly (19 October 2015)

We had an amazing weekend away here, however we found that the location let it down a bit, there wasn't really too much to do within walking distance other then go for a walk by the canal, luckily me and my other half just wanted to do nothing all weekend and chill out. Also there seemed to be so many lorries going back and forth which were really noisy so wouldn't exactly say it was a quiet retreat away as the lorries were still going back and forth by the time we went to bed at 11 or 12. Other than that it was a really pretty place. The rooms could do with some modernization especially the bedrooms, when we arrived we found that the bedroom light wasn't working and told the lady when she arrived and she advised that we just used the bedside lamps, which wasn't exactly helpful, I would expect them to replace it as the room was quite dark with just the lamps on so a bit disappointed in that regard. However the hot tub was the main attraction which we loved and properly enjoyed, would of been good if there was a gate between the house and hot tub so people stood outside couldn't see you running across to get back into the cabin. Also I found that the cabin was really cold and the electric radiators wasn't enough to keep us warm we had to use the duvets from the spare room to keep warm, as I said before it needs more modernisation. Other than that it was a good break away, wouldn't want
Kathryn from Swindon (19 October 2015)

Very relaxing break, perfect location if you want to get away from it all. we enjoyed walks along the canal and the well maintained hot tub was perfect to relax in after a long stroll. not much in the way of shops and facilities nearby but we came prepared for this and enjoyed the peace and tranquility. will definately return and look to hire bikes to further explore the grand wester canal.
Kerry from New Forest (19 October 2015)

Stayed in paddock. had a really relaxing time, hot tub was great and our lodge was set back out of the way so my friend & I had our privacy. looking forward to booking it again. still places we didn't get around to seeing and have to come back to take a trip on the horse drawn barge.
Elaine from Bridgend (16 October 2015)

Lovely stay, would definetly return
Emma (12 October 2015)

We had a lovely relaxing time in paddock at whipcott water. Will definately be returning and would fully recommend.
Hayley from Chesterfield (09 October 2015)

We had a fantastic relaxing and enjoyable holiday here. Highly recommend
Zoe from Hitchin (05 October 2015)

Location brilliant ,site very nice, shame about the broken spa cover and the worst for wear bath/shower/toilet.
Jackie from Chudleigh (02 October 2015)

Overall holiday was good, cottage and facilities we couldn't fault, location is a little remote but suited the weekend we were after, very quite and relaxing.
Ernie from Evesham (28 September 2015)

We stayed at the flare. . lovely cottage. Everything you needed. Would definitely recommend. Probly abit boring for kids as nothing to do but great get away for a relaxing time. Highly recommend hiring bikes and cycling down the canal. . only downside staying at the flare was the freezer in the bedroom cuboard, not a great idea as it kept me awake and kept waking me up, this must be moved. . overall a great find.
Donna (28 September 2015)

Very nice area
Robert from Canterbury (18 September 2015)

We enjoyed a very relaxing mid-week stay here recently. met sue at the start of our break and there was a phone number to contact if there were any problems. no mobile signal at the lodges though. the lodges were really comfortable and really well equipped. we spent a lot of the time out walking and the hot tub was brilliant to relax in during the evening. lots of suggestions for places to eat which were all very good. the only downfall was the lorries driving past in the early morning - the lorries themselves weren't too much of a problem but the pot-hole they all seemed to 'hit' made them very noisy.
Lesley from Bracknell (18 September 2015)

We had a relaxing weekend, we took push bikes and enjoyed cycling along the canal. The hot tub was a lovely treat.
Gill from Bath (14 September 2015)

Immediate area has nothing to offer , ok as a base to go further away , we drove to both north and south coast of devon during our stay.
Christine (14 September 2015)

We had a wonderfully relaxing week and only left the site by car on one day (we had brought all our food with us). a quiet site which is just what we wanted and private hot tub area.
Sue from Bournemouth (11 September 2015)

Had a wonderful time, the lodge was ideal for exploring and very well equipped and the hot tub was the highlight of our stay, but unfortunately the lodge is too close to the road which endless noisy lorries use to get to the quarry very near by very early morning and sometimes late at night, although we knew this before we booked we were woken up every morning early, for this reason only we would not book again, everything else was great.
Andrew from Herne Bay (11 September 2015)

The holiday was great, there was everything there for the two of us. The apartment had everything we wanted and was very clean and tidy. The owner sue was always available if we wanted anything, and her "guide book" was very useful and gave us a good start to our holiday. The "hot tub" was brilliant, and so relaxing...we were so refreshed after it..a real treat. We spent a week there in which we had dry weather, so it was nice to relax outside and in the hot tub. The "lane" which lead to hill top was not a road with tarmac, but a lane with grass and chippings, which would have caused problems in wet weather? your guide was detailed, and we backed this up with our sat-nav, so we found it with little difficulty, and as you sail it was located at the "top of the lane". there was a tv, washing machine, dryer, oven and microwave, and the fact that there was a "large bag of ice cubes" left in the freezer was very good for us. We would definitley go back again to hill top at some time in the future if the oppertunity arises.
Clive from Neath, South Wales (11 September 2015)

Nice location away from main road but road past is busy with quarry lorries all day that only seem to come in from this direction. (all day) but not as bad as living near heathrow years ago (5 miles away) was far more noisy. Robin comes daily and also a wren was right outside the door. Nice walk along the canal to the right and crossed road to continue along footpath.
Alan from Bexhill On Sea (11 September 2015)

Lovely place for a romantic relaxing weekend
Derek from Hayle (07 September 2015)

We stayed for a long weekend in hopper lodge. Were really impressed with the facilities and hot tub and would definately book again. Lovely clean accommodation and enclosed patio so very safe for our toddler. Really enjoyed ourselves, thank you sue
Christopher from Evesham (07 September 2015)

Had a lovely stay at these cottages. The accommodation was clean and well equipped. It is a very quiet area and even though people say about the lorries they didn't really bother us at all. Sue was friendly and helpful. You have wifi in the cottage which is a must with teenagers. Have stayed in other lodges with hot tubs and by far this one was the one I enjoyed the most. Would recommend and will hopefully return.
Dawn from Harlow (04 September 2015)

Excellent location, well equipped chalet.
Tim from Colchester (04 September 2015)

This is an absolute gem. I cannot fault it. The location is fabulous, the lodges are spotlessly clean and well equipped. It's peaceful and seems to attract the right sort of holiday maker. The private hot tubs are the icing on the cake!
Customer 116 from Isle Of Wight (28 August 2015)

The lodge was great and the hot tub was amazing shame about the lady that greeted us she was quite rude and seemed annoyed we had our 5 year old daughter with us. Other than that we had a great time the hot tub could do with some sort of shelter and the trees hanging over it needed cutting down.
Samantha from Gosport (24 August 2015)

Peaceful setting, good location 50mins to most attractions, nice hot tub and wifi.
Mitch from Beccles (24 August 2015)

The hot tub cover was in a worn condition and hard to move. Notified the owners but nothing was done.the bathroom could use an update. The lodge was very dark and outside pictures are not representative of all accommodations. Lots of flies in summertime, however the owners had left fly spray.
Caroline from Winchester (14 August 2015)

I've stayed in lots of properties and this is a nice one. However, I don't think this is up to autograph range standards. It's lovely, but not autograph.
True from London (10 August 2015)

Loved it but maybe a little quiet for a family with no children as no play area or area to play in.
Petra from Norwich (10 August 2015)

Lovely and relaxing setting which we all enjoyed greatly. Make sure you have plenty of supplies as there are no shops near by. . the site is private and very well kept and we would highly recommend it to anyone.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Cambridgeshire (07 August 2015)

Countryside and canal walks lovely with our dog but we did find we needed to drive everywhere as it is remote. Owner was helpful but we felt for a "dog-friendly" accommodation there was no information available for things like dog friendly pubs and attractions.
Sue from Kenilworth (03 August 2015)

Excellent central location for exploring the north coast of devon and somerset and the south coast of devon. property itself is located just off a road that does lead to a quarry, but the traffic noise was minimum, in fact you had to stop and listen hard for it. outside of the properties were all clean and tidy and pretty hanging baskets, hung from each lodge.
Mary from York (27 July 2015)

Very good holiday nice and peaceful ,hot tub was amazing would definitely go back
Marc from Stoke On Trent (27 July 2015)

We had a fabulous holiday at whipcott water and it was a great base to explore somerset. Beautiful setting and a really lovely lodge which was very clean, tidy and well equipped, with a lovely private hot tub. the only possible issue was our lodge was set next to a road where heavy quarry lorries used to speed past all day up to about 6pm which was ok as we were out all day, but could be more of an issue to some as they started at about 6am in the morning, but as we are early risers, for us, it did not spoil our great holiday.
Elizabeth from Hertfordshire (24 July 2015)

Fabulous relaxing stay with everything you could need
Nicola from Halstead (24 July 2015)

Great facilities in the lodge and well adapted for the dog as we could contain him within our own garden so had no worries of him escaping, unlike some sites where dogs have to be kept on a lead!. . the hot tub was lovely and relaxing, with nice walks along the canal. Just what we needed for a relaxing weekend away. . some comments have been made about the lorries, as we were only there for the weekend this was not an issue, and although on the monday you could hear lorries driving past this did not bother us. . our only small complaint was the freezer in the main bedroom, it was great to have a freezer to use in the lodge, but we are very light sleepers and the noise disturbed us slightly. . wonderful break away and I would recommend it to anyone, we will hopefully be back soon.
Nicky from Wimborne (13 July 2015)

Both the detached little house and the hot-tub were perfectly secluded. Really enjoyed a restful weekend and the lady that runs the place combines friendliness and efficiency perfectly.
Darren (13 July 2015)

Great base for a family to explore the surrounding area. Accommodation well equipped and spacious. And the kids thought the hot tub was fab!
Helen from Fort William (10 July 2015)

Our holiday in whipcott waters was amazing. We are already planning to go again. Everyone in the area is friendly and helpful! throughly enjoyed it will definitely be recommending it to friends and family!
Joe (06 July 2015)

Would definitely go back to whipcott water! the lodge had everything we needed, the bed was really comfy and the hot tub was amazing and really secluded (we stayed in the wharf). sue was also really friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations on where to eat etc.
Marie from Nottingham (06 July 2015)

We loved this place! setting outstanding, sue was great and very helpful, the cabin spacious and perfect, hot tub was new and clean - our family loved it and we will definitely be returning.
John from Kent (26 June 2015)

Lovely stay very clean
Jennifer from Holcombe Rogus (26 June 2015)

Cottage was great lovely & clean plus everything we wanted. Scenery was beautiful & sue& sam made sure we had everything would consider going back
Megan from Belton Gt Yarmouth Norfolk (26 June 2015)

We recently stayed in the paddock and had an amazing time. We were slightly concerned from other reviews about the noise from passing trucks to the local quarry but they are few and far between and we barely noticed them throughout the day. we enjoyed a walk along the canal path opposite and went to the local pub for lunch which was undergoing some renovation but lovely nonetheless. we will definately be returning to whipcott water in the future.
Donna from Bristol (22 June 2015)

Absolutely lovely place to stay. The owner was lovely. The cottage was lovely. The surroundings were lovely. 10 out of 10 all round
Customer 137 from Poole (22 June 2015)

Really enjoyed our break. Great private space for the kids to play. Nice surroundings, helpful staff.
Matt from Nottinghamshire (19 June 2015)

We loved our 4 night break away. We stayed in wharf cottage which is just set away from the other cottages, beautiful walks along the canal. The country road is slightly busy but the noise did not affect us .
Kim from Stockbridge (19 June 2015)

We had a lovely h
Ellie from Beccles (19 June 2015)

We needed a break and to get away from it all, and we couldn't have wished for anything better. the lodge was well equiped and had everything we needed. It was spotless. Really enjoyed the hot tub and bbq. just across the road was a canal for lovely walks. The owner couldn't have been more helpful. thoroughly recommend this lodge. we will be going again.
Brian from Wareham, Dorset (19 June 2015)

Took my partner away for a birthday suprise and we fell in love. It is so peaceful and relaxing. We will 100% be returning in the future and have highly recommended to friends!
Stacey from Portishead (15 June 2015)

We had a great stay at whipcott water. The lodge had amazing views and the hot tub was very relaxing.
Sarah from London (12 June 2015)

Great location, very relaxing break. Lodge has all you need for a great time. Owner sue very helpful.
Customer 144 (08 June 2015)

Ideal location to walk the great western canal.
Jane from Horsham (29 May 2015)

The location was beautiful and the cottage was amazing, it felt homely. The owners are lovely. The hot tub is really nice. We had great time away.
Jasmine from Southampton (29 May 2015)

Great location - central for exploring somerset, wiltshire, dorset and devon, peaceful surroundings in a countryside setting next to the picturesque great western canal, yet only 5 minutes drive to good amenities at wellington.
Paul from East Riding Of Yorkshire (29 May 2015)

The owner was lovely and very friendly. Nice walk by the canal. The cottage was nice, but not luxury - needs decoration update. Traffic from the road was bad from 6a.m. Onwards, but as the nights went on we sort of got used to it. But holiday was nice.
Malvina from Hayling Island (29 May 2015)

Our holiday at whipcott was lovely.lovely chalet? lovely people. Found some nice and pretty places on route. I only used the hot tub once but I enjoyed every minute. The chalet was roomy. Clean and well equipped for our needs.
Jackie from Ashford. Kent (22 May 2015)

Was perfect, wish we was there now
Steven from Manchester (11 May 2015)
