Great break away and peaceful
Nick (16 April 2018)

Lovely place, very relaxing especially the hot tub! would definitely recommend.
Stacey (16 April 2018)

Been before several times. location fabulous for cycling walking and photography. Property looking a little tired but clean. Not all jets working on the hot tub.
Susan from Devon (16 April 2018)

Great place to escape for a relaxing weekend
Jan (16 April 2018)

Really lovely, would definitely recommend and would book again. Lovely location.
Natalie from Sheffield (06 April 2018)

Great place to stay and location for the access to the scenic canal. Shame the hot tub is not very private but still a lovely location.
Hannah from Honiton (02 April 2018)

Great location, very clean, hot tub was amazing
Ben (30 March 2018)

If I had paid more than £200 for this holiday I would have been very disappointed and wanting a refund. This lodge is falling apart, loose floor tiles, kitchen cupboards loose, terrible decoration, temperamental tv, pillows filthy under the cases, torn curtains, freezer left with previous tenants food in, grab rails in bathroom loose, toilet seat missing fittings, cold hot tub till dinner time next day, grumpy owner , night storage heating that was cold in the evening, terrible road traffic noise, pat testing out of date, dogs mess.... need I carry on?
Simon (30 March 2018)

Very relaxing nice hot tub
Carol from Swindon (26 March 2018)

Just what we wanted, a quiet break away with the girls. Lovely cottage which was clean and tidy with brilliant facilities. Hot tub was perfect.
Charlotte from Weston Super Mare (26 March 2018)

We received a very warm personal welcome from sue. The cottage was beautiful and contained everything we needed. . the location was just perfect. Quiet for a much needed relaxing break. It wasn’t too far out, as only a car ride away, we went to local pubs for meals and went to taunton for a day out. So near. . the hot tub was an added bonus. This was all ready for us on arrival. Free to use whenever we fancied. We were lucky with the weather. We could sit out the garden and enjoy a drink. Also went for a lovely walk, down to the river. We walked for a while along there. Overall a perfect weekend away. We would go back for longer next time
Donna from Neath Port Talbot (26 March 2018)

Very nice cottage with beautiful scenery, amazing hot tub. Well worth the money paid. Would definitely return in the future.
Nick from Swindon (23 March 2018)

Beautiful surroundings, nice walks, lodge was nice but in need of repair, hot tub nice but also in need of maintenance. Have stayed in more modern, up to date lodges for similar price. But all in all a lovely stay.
Clayton from Weymouth (19 March 2018)

Very nice, clean and tidy. Nice secluded location with privacy. Also the cottage is equipped with everything you need if your eating in, washing up ect. Overall very happy.
Kieran (16 March 2018)

It was such a lovely place out of the way from everyone and so quiet
Katie (12 March 2018)

Very relaxing settings. Hot tub needs attention jets mainly. Enjoyed my week would visit again. P.s maybe a sign on the fridge that the freezer is upstairs in the cupboard
Jordan from Bristol (09 March 2018)

Lovely surrounding lovely owner.accomadation in need of upgrading as is dated .would still go again.
Cheryl from Derby (09 March 2018)

Enjoyable and relaxing! me and my boyfriend spent a weekend away here and it was lovely! scenery upon scenery, a lot of wild life, the canal just a couple minutes walk away. Our lodge had its own private hot tub too which was a bonus! completely loved it and definitely would return!
Laura from London (26 February 2018)

Very relaxing break. Lovely cottage everything you need. Fab hot tub. Would definitely go again.
Daniel (26 February 2018)

Great accommodation, clean, cosy and warm. Hot tub was really lovely and really secluded. bed very comfy, water always hot and plenty of kitchen utensils. Surroundings were beautiful and plenty to do within a short distance! loved it, will definitely return one day!
Lauren (26 February 2018)

The accommodation was as expected, very peaceful and relaxing. The size of the lodge was surprising, much bigger than we had thought. There were some signs of wear and tear around the place, but as a short term rental we were more than happy with it. Previous reviews had mentioned the traffic noise, but this was not an issue for us, and isn't really impactive on the peace of the lodges. I would recommend and would like to re visit.
Dave from Torbay (16 February 2018)

Great little place to stay with own hot tub with a screen for privacy. Only issue was only one roll of toilet paper provided for a 4 night stay and couldn't get hold of staff for a resupply, so had to drive into the next village (a mile or so away) to buy some. Other than that had a great stay over valentines week, lovely nearby village with a good value butchers and nice shops.
Alec from Portsmouth (16 February 2018)

Comfortable and spacious accomodation with the added luxury of a hot tub!. it was clean and very well equipped and was set in beautiful countryside. Highly recommended for a relaxing break
Andrea from Tewkesbury (12 February 2018)

Very nice and spacious
Paul from Cwmbran (12 February 2018)

Lovely short break away. Beautiful lodge just could do with a bit of updating
Rebekah (09 February 2018)

It was an ok short break. Would have been nice to arrive to a warm lodge rather than have to wait a couple of hours for it to heat up. No where was it said that these lodges are situated on a country lane used by great big thundering lorries that go back and forth to the quarry just up the road!!. the lodges are just across from an unused canal with a walkable tow path.
Nicola from Lancing West Sussex (09 February 2018)

Perfect break for a couple lovely surroundings perfect overall
Customer 29 (05 February 2018)

Had a lovely weekend, great place, thank you
Katharine from Somerset (29 January 2018)

Lovely little break in wharf. Host were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Hot tub was amazing. Although slightly remote it's a lovely place to cut off from the world and relax. . will return
Laura from Newport South Wales (29 January 2018)

Disappointing break. We chose wicket lodge for privacy and dog friendly. Positives spacious lodge, comfortable beds. Negatives dog mess in garden left by previous guests. I reported this to owner whose unhelpful manner was defensive. I was told this would not be cleared up until sunday of our break. The towel in bathroom was ragged and full of holes. I requested extra towels and was told there was an allocation per person. Wicket is in need of updating. Nice location by canal but heavy lorries going to nearby quarry spoil this somewhat
Susan from Swindon (29 January 2018)

We had a lovely stay at whipcott. We stayed in wharf lodge which was very well equipped and the hot tub was obviously a huge added bonus..especially for january.
Angela from Dorchester (26 January 2018)

Enjoyed peaceful location.all facilities we needed. Very helpful owners. Only downside was noisy freezer in bedroom and tv kept going green!
Andrew (22 January 2018)

A good lodge everything you needed hot tub great very warm and comfortable lorrys a bit noisy but good location
James (19 January 2018)

Brilliant holiday, nice quiet location- good facilities.
Heidi from Leicester (15 January 2018)

Great short break. Staff very welcoming. Lovely place and idyllic. Has everything you need. . great place . thank you
Tricia (08 January 2018)

Cabin and hot tub were great. I would’ve liked the local pub to be a little closer but the 4.5 mile walk along the canal path was actually very nice. The road wasn’t as bad as some other previous reviews suggest.
Michael from Cardiff (05 January 2018)

Excellent stay. The chalet was clean and everything g was how you would expect...it’s a remote place but just what we wanted...would definitely recommend..
Kevin from Cardiff (05 January 2018)

We had a lovely relaxing 2 nights away here, staying in hopper lodge. The hot tub was fantastic!. the lodge was very clean, tidy and comfortable. . would definately stay here again.
Tracey from Hereford (05 January 2018)

We went to relax away from. Busy life & this was a great location for this as it was tucked away.
Customer 41 (03 January 2018)

Incredible time.perfect for a peaceful getaway.
Mike from Wolverhampton (22 December 2017)

Lovely relaxing break.
Dani from Bristol (18 December 2017)

Lovely getaway where you can relax in the hottub in total silence and darkness in the evenings , if the stars are out it is one perfect night
Steven from Stoke (18 December 2017)

This place has its heart in the right place but needs some tlc. . great location, good value for money but shabby in a few places. . over one weekend, the oven door handle fell off, the toilet flush fell off, the bottom of the shower screen fell off, the tap top was loose, the groundfloor windows were not all secure and some of the hot tub jets kept coming loose. These are issues raised by previous holiday makers but clearly are not being addressed by the owners. . we would definitely go back but in the knowledge this place isn't being invested in. However the security of our children was a big issue and we slept in the downstairs room with them as the window security was compromised. Not great for a relaxing break away. . on the plus side the christmas tree was a nice touch and the beds were comfortable. The lodge was nice and warm. We liked the secluded location of the hot tub.
Georgina from Sherborne (18 December 2017)

A lovely weekend away in peaceful surroundings. The cottage was very welcoming and decorated tastefully with christmas decorations. The owners were friendly and helpful. The hot tub was amazing.
Ruth (11 December 2017)

Didn't see any staff stayed over a long weekend
Victor from Exeter (04 December 2017)

Great place to stay owner great greeting and left you alone but always availble . wharf cottage was very roomy and very very clean.had a great short break even for the end of november.hope to visit again at a different time of year.
David (01 December 2017)

Great lodge and hot tub very private
John from Barnstaple (01 December 2017)

We wanted to just relax and that is what we did perfect.
Gary (27 November 2017)

This was our 4th visit to whipcott water so we knew exactly what to expect. The houses are quite remote with a lovely walk along the canal to a great pub. if you want peace and quiet this is the perfect place to relax in the hot tub and watch the stars.
Claire from Bristol (27 November 2017)

Lovely place good location for getting around.
Julie from Pontypridd (24 November 2017)

Fantastic
Rod from Warminster (24 November 2017)

Clean and tidy lovely hot tub. Sue was helpful. Not far from attractions. Quiet location.
Jason from Carshalton Surrey (17 November 2017)

Stayed monday-friday. Great place to relax and unwind in peaceful countryside surrounding. Few minor problems with condition of appliances but mainly cosmetic and due to age.
Robin from Oxford (17 November 2017)

Cottage was nice, hot tub was great, shame about lorries driving past every 10-15 mins.
Dan (17 November 2017)

Friendly and very helpful staff. Came to check on us to make sure we were ok as we checked in late.
Adem from Hemel Hempstead (13 November 2017)

Very nice accommodation. Nice relaxing break
Nicola from Porton, Salisbury (13 November 2017)

Lovely location and beautiful hottub for a romantic get away peace and quiet
John-James from Willenhall (06 November 2017)

Fantastic facilities, would highly recommend to friends and family.
Chrissie from Worcester (06 November 2017)

Lovely place. Very quaint. Only four or five lodges there so it is very remote. In the middle of nowhere but that is exactly what we were after. Lovely walks along the canal and the hot tub was great!
Lauren from Hatfield (06 November 2017)

Property in need of modernising. Many little things let it down lovely setting
Kelly from Yeovil (06 November 2017)

We had a very relaxing time, it would have been better with a village pub which served food but the hot tub made up for it, very clean and welcoming
Ian from Bristol (03 November 2017)

Well equipped lodge in a good location plus a great hot tub
Gavin from Canvey Island (03 November 2017)

Excellent time spent at whitcott water in the hilltop cottage. Lovely little cottage, well-equipped and comfortable. Hot tub was obviously a hit. The dog sam & the chickens were an added bonus! owners are lovely - next door but you still feel quite private. Quite a remote location however plenty to do if you're willing to travel. As other reviews point out it is up the top of a rocky road however we managed it in a kia picanto so don't let that put you off!
Sophie (27 October 2017)

Very nice accommodation but not autograph standard. Only 1 bathroom downstairs which was a pain when you needed the loo in the middle of the night. . hot tub wasn’t working properly. . expensive for 4 days use.
Jane from Dudley (27 October 2017)

The cottage was really nice, seemlessly outdated though, carpets may aswell of not been down being how ridiculously thin they are, to think in peak time they can earn thousands in revenue, they could update the interiors and fix the hot tub, constantly adding chemicals isn’t good and the water was murky and cloudy, jets barely worked!
Theresa (20 October 2017)

Location and lodge was wonderful really gorgeous, my husband and I have had a wonderful few days away, hot tub and it's surroundings were amazing. We never got to meet the owner which would have made it more personal but that is my opinion.
Mark from Cambridgeshire (16 October 2017)

Lovely location. Owner was very helpful and friendly. All the information for the cottage and for the area was available in the cottage which made everything much easier. Very comfy and great value.
Robert from Pontypool (06 October 2017)

Great accommodation for wheelchair users , everything adapted for there needs . enjoyed our stay very much would definitely holiday here again.
Maureen from Swindon (02 October 2017)

Very relaxing and quiet, had a great time
Robert (29 September 2017)

Beautiful place. Would definitely return.
Amiee from Sunderland Tyne And Wear (29 September 2017)

Had a great birthday weekend away
Charlotte from Bristol (25 September 2017)

A small group of lodges, very clean, owner welcoming and gives all information you need.
Janet from North Wales (15 September 2017)

This was our second visit and will be back again very soon
Abi from Chipping Norton (04 September 2017)

Beautiful area and comfortable lodge.
Emma from Orpington (01 September 2017)

Had a brilliant time here. The cottage had everything we needed and quite good another we didn't. a bit isolated so don't count on walking anywhere, but wonderfully peaceful as a result. And the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind in the evening. Warm welcome from the owners, and a sense they were genuinely happy to see us.
Kathryn from Redruth (25 August 2017)

Needs some tender loving care, smells of damp dogs and this was very apparent when entering the lodge
Jason (25 August 2017)

Amazing break, such peaceful surroundings and brilliant hot tub ! weather wasn't great, however still a fantastic place for a romantic mini break.
Claire (21 August 2017)

Loved this place and would love to stay again.
Lee from Newbury (21 August 2017)

Excellent accommodation in stunning location friendly staff almost home from home
Paul (21 August 2017)

Very nice place but a little bit out in the stick but really beautiful lodge and brilliant hot tube.
Paul from Leicestershire (14 August 2017)

Sue thought of everything nice and relaxing weekend
Michelle from Kent (07 August 2017)

Lovely clean lodge. Hot tub was a bonus after our days out. We felt lodge could do with a clock and some coat/towel hooks, however, this is only our opinion. We enjoyed the peaceful location and walks by the canal.
Angela from Staffordshire (07 August 2017)

Comfortable home with everything you need. owners are next door but they respect your privacy so it feels like a detached property. . lovely stay, relaxing and really enjoyed using the hot tub after a busy day exploring. it was particularly nice in the evening looking up at a clear starry sky! . if you after peace and quiet this is a great place to stay. . one thing to mention is the track up to the top of the hill is quite rough, this is mentioned but I didn't see this until after I booked.
Alison from Manchester (04 August 2017)

Lodge had everything we needed for a comfortable stay . great location , & having the hot tub was fantastic . would definitely stay again .
Heidi from Norwich (04 August 2017)

When we first arrived the surrounding trees were very overgrown. When entering cottage it was very dark requiring lights during the day. Lighting was poor had to get lamp from one of the bedrooms to put on the longe. The kitchen was in need of an update, loose cupboard doors, dishwasher broken. Windows in all rooms were dirty inside and out full of cobwebs. Mop and bucket left in one of the bedrooms for us to put away. Huge trees overhanging the hot tub leaving leaves and insects falling in hot tub. On one of the mornings at 9.30am we found owner watering hanging baskets which we found intrusive as she walked pasted our open door and didn't acknowledge us and wasn't friendly. It stated in the welcome pack that this would be done at 8am in morning not 9.30. Constant loud traffic up and down to the quarry very close to our cottage everyday travelling at dangerous speeds on a thin country lane. All above I would not class this as an autograph cottage it was less than basic.
Uzma (21 July 2017)

Lovely break. Clean and fabulous lodge. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The walks down the canal were brilliant, especially to the globe at sempford peverall which is outstanding for food and beer. you can also hire bikes from here as well. We loved the hot tub too. We will definately stay again. x
Anthony from Leigh, Wigan (21 July 2017)

Accommodation was nice enough but the road noise is excessive with windows open.
Ian from Aberdeen (17 July 2017)

Very comfortable accommodation, hot tub great, staff very friendly & helpful. Ideally placed for visiting lots of places of interest. Very good food available locally.
Stephen from Didcot (17 July 2017)

Nice clean chalet, fully equipped lovely area but this was marred by the constant lorry traffic from local quarry that starts at 6 a.m every morning, not what we expected, description of immediate area is a little misleading as are the photos hot tub too close to the hedge could be better sited but overall we were quite happy, sue is a lovely hostess and very pleasant, she had taken the time to produce a great guide on local eateries and places of interest overall a very nice place but would benefit without the lorries.
Steve from Dorset (14 July 2017)

This is the third time we have visited whipcott water and the second time in the warf cottage which gives a idea of how much we enjoy the break. the cottage is always clean and it is a nice touch that the basics are already there for you; toiletries in the bathrooms and washing up liquids in the kitchen just in case you forget them.
Jane from West Bromwich (14 July 2017)

I was a lovely location it was just to far away from everything but if you want a relaxing and secluded holiday it is the place to go, would recommend to all to go
Diane from Didcot (14 July 2017)

The accommodation was lovely however I felt that sue was incredibly rude and un helpful.
Jenna from Gloucester (07 July 2017)

Enjoyed this holiday very much , peaceful and beautiful scenery and the lodge was exceptionally clean didn't find one issue with it.although the garden was small the hot tub was in a secluded area which was nice. Sue the owner was lovely and made sure we were happy and settled and gave us information of what was near etc. Would recommend !
Michaela from Doncaster (03 July 2017)

Amazing break away from home
Jody (03 July 2017)

We were all very disappointed with the location of the lodge. We were told there would be road noise. We were not told it was literally on a main road and what with the quarry down the road, I can say disappointing. The area at the back were the hot tub and seats were was so over grown with trees etc it was horrible. We used the hot tub once and ended up with loads of leaves in with us. The lodge itself was clean and tidy but the windows inside and out were disgusting cob webs and all. It didn't help that the weather was not good in fact we left early. Would definitely not recommend the wharf. We looked over the back at the other lodges which looked really nice and tucked away from the road (these are the ones shown in the brochure) which we thought were the one we was getting. Sorry to be so negative but we were all looking forward to this break, and it was a complete waste of money.
Howsego from Canvey Island Essex (30 June 2017)

A great location especially for days out. Lots of nice restaurants around the area, would recommend most of them. Owner sue was very helpful and a lovely person and our stay was stress free as set up of hopper was perfect and ideal for a disabled person with many needs.
Jackie from Essex (30 June 2017)

We have been to whipcott waters previously and were very much looking forward to it again. A slight hiccup on arrival as no comfort pack as ordered but this was quickly corrected. However, the level of heavy lorry traffic past the cottage really destroys the ambience of an otherwise peaceful and picturesque place. A real shame but I dont think we would return again due to this.
Carl from London (30 June 2017)

Owner quite rude plus constant lorries from the quarry 24/7
Wayne from Bexhill (26 June 2017)

Lovely quiet area, really nice accommodation except all the beds were extremely uncomfortable and hard. Could do with a little work around the place as looked alittle tired.
Sian from Llanharry (26 June 2017)

Brilliant location and our second visit. We will be back.
Carolyn from Farnborough (19 June 2017)

Can't say it enough, what an amazing long weekend away. We were looking for something quiet and miles away from anything and it did not disappoint in the slightest, sue was amazing and if we needed anything we just had to ask and we had the warmest welcome from the softest dog possible, don't pass up on the chance to experience hilltop or any other of the available cottages. . . 10/10 and we will be back.
Christopher from Caerphilly (19 June 2017)

Love this place. We will be back again for our 6th can't wait.
Louise from Torquay (16 June 2017)

For a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle this is the ideal place. The cottage was comfortable and the hot tub welcome at the end of a day.
Kathy from Cannock (16 June 2017)

A beautiful, well equipped lodge which was immaculately clean on our arrival. Perfect for our young family, with all the equipment we could possibly need. The only negative was the road outside. For such a quiet location this is an extremely busy road, and one which locals seem to use as some kind of racetrack! . this however, is no reflection on the lodge itself as it was perfect.
Kelly from This However, Is No Reflection On The Lodge Itself (12 June 2017)

The lodge was spacious and very clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and all utensils were clean. Sue the owner was nice and dealt promptly with our request for new towels (on arrival, we had found them to be dirty). I can't fault the lodge itself but, despite being in the middle of nowhere, it is right on the road which is used constantly by lorries going to and from the nearby quarry. There is a lot of noise until late at night and then starting again early in the morning.
Sarah (02 June 2017)

Very nice stay, a little too quiet for a holiday with kids - but would be perfect for a couple who want some peace - it was an hour in any direction for kid-friendly fun.
Lucy (29 May 2017)

What a great weekend!! after a day out walking or cycling a visit to the local hostelry and then a hour in the hot tub to soak those muscles. Took a ride on the steam train to minehead - brilliant
Peter from Sarisbury Green (29 May 2017)

Quiet and much needed break
Kath from Somerset (22 May 2017)

Fantastic place would stay again . i'll recommend it
Graham from Southminster Essex (19 May 2017)

Had a lovely time. Great location for cycling along the canal and bike hire company really helpful. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable with spacious bedrooms. Had a relaxing time in the hot tub which was a real treat.
Andrea from Exeter (15 May 2017)

It .was.a.very.pleasant.place
Arthur from Hants (12 May 2017)

Lovely relaxing stay with our dog. there were lovely walks along the canal towpath which was very close to our lodge, and the garden was completely enclosed and secure for the dog. the hospitality tray was very welcome to tide us over with tea, coffee and biscuits but you would need to bring provisions with you as the nearest shop is some distance away by foot, although only about a 5 minute drive. The hot tub was very relaxing but you will need a car to explore the surrounding area or to go shopping or eating out (sue the owner recommended the culm valley inn, which is dog-friendly and also popular with the locals so advisable to book. we had some nice meals there). we stayed for 5 days but could have stayed a few more.
Jane from West Sussex (12 May 2017)

Excellent holiday in comfortable and well equipped cottage. some road noise from heavy lorries passing close to cottag for much of day but not too much of a problem. hot tub a bonus.
David from Derby (12 May 2017)

I jave already reviewed on trip advisor as it was a fantastic place with everything we needed inside the lodge and outside. the staff were helpful and friendly. The whole place was immaculately clean. Could not fault this and would recommend anyone to go. Outstanding break.
Michael from Congleton (08 May 2017)

Would be a 10 but hot tub needs to be more powerful. But otherwise can't fault it excellent cottage
Ross from Shropshire (08 May 2017)

Good location, comfortable and clean. A few minor niggles that had previously been highlighted. Shame these had not been attended to. However didn't spoil what was a nice comfortable break.
Trevor from Brandon (05 May 2017)

Absolutely loved it here. We stayed in wharf. It was very clean and well equipped. Hot tub was amazing and walks along the canal . sue was very helpful when we arrived . we would definately like to go again
Tracy from Newport Isle Of Wight (05 May 2017)

Fantastic little lodge. Nice and quite. Well equipped.will definitely be going back. Owner was so helpfully
Louise from Northampton (01 May 2017)

Lovely setting, remote enough and yet within drive of lovely villages. So great to have a hot tub to spend time with the family. Owner had provided every comfort in form of towels and extra tea-bags!. recommend going to the local pub along the canal for evening meal and hiring bikes for further exploring.
Victoria from Stourbridge/Midlands (24 April 2017)

Very nice location owners where very helpful and friendly would return
Neil from Hampton (24 April 2017)

Good place to stay. Great walks along the canal. Friendly local pub with good food and dog friendly.
Amanda (24 April 2017)

Lovely place right by the canal, enjoyed the walks and so did our dog. Hot tub a lovely bonus at the end of the day. Would definitely re visit and recommend
James (21 April 2017)

It was a lovely break. Great surroundings and hot tub was fab.
Sarah from Harlow (14 April 2017)

Lovely holiday - very relaxing and just what was needed
Jaime (14 April 2017)

Beautiful area & lodge was nice but the constant trucks speeding past spoilt the lovely peaceful location and the lodge was literally right on the road side which was not explained online!!
Victoria from Norwich (07 April 2017)

We had a lovely time here at whipcott water, was really nice apart from the fact the mattress on the beds wasn't for my comfortand the pillows need an urgent update too . the hottub I think made our stay so much more relaxing . the bathroom a little on the hospital look as in not very comforting and cold ! but despite these minor things it was enjoyed , thanks jo &alan.
Alan (31 March 2017)

Fantastic lodge to stay very peaceful and private. Hot tub was lovely. Beautiful place for walks and perfect for our dog had a magical weekend.
Natassia (27 March 2017)

Lovely cottages with hot tubs, nicely appointed in lovely surrounding. Owner sue is lovely and can't do enough to ensure you have a nice time. Been twice. Will be back. Gareth and tracy
Gareth from Portishead (20 March 2017)

We had the most amazing stay at the beginning of march with our two young boys in the flare lodge, it was well equipped, beautiful surroundings and the hot tub was amazing. Definitely coming again.
Eleanor from Kent (10 March 2017)

We had a lovely time, lovely walks, enjoyed the hot tub with views of the countryside. Comfortable cottage with all the amenities we needed for our stay.
Ella (10 March 2017)

We enjoyed exploring the area from the base of the cottage. It was good to return to and relax in the hot tub or enjoy the quite of the country side. The weather wasn't too kind to us but there was plenty to see and do within the area. We did manage to explore some of the canel on a dryer day. . it was a shame that the cottages are near the road used by lorries visiting the quarry along the road and were regulary up and down from about 7.30 am.
Rodney from Portsmouth (06 March 2017)

Had a nice break, cottage was clean and tidy, very warm inside on arrival, owner was nice and helpful, hot tub was great,we got what we wanted a relaxing time away.
Martin from Caerphilly (06 March 2017)

The lodge is beautiful and it was so clean. Everything was great about it except we we're right next to a road and it was so busy all through the night with trucks driving past rather fast which is such a shame because that was the only downfall but that is why I wouldn't stay here again barely slept
Gemma from Cannock (24 February 2017)

Great value for money, a lovely relaxing few days had with the family. Kids loved the hot tub!
Tracy from Huddersfield (24 February 2017)

Had a nice break here, have been before and would go again!
Joanne from Wiltshire (24 February 2017)

Lovely location with plenty of wildlife, however lodge very dated and tired . storage heaters not capable enough to heat lodge in cold temperatures, drafty doors, hole repaired in shower tray, electric fire cutting out after 10 minutes and generally in need of updating to command this level of rental fees. We have stayed in many lodges at the same price in much better condition.
Alan from Neath (13 February 2017)

Lovely place to go if you want a nice relaxing holiday lodges were spotless. As we went in february I was worried it would be a little cold but the heating was amazing best bit was the hottube we spent most the week in there would definitely recommend
Jason from Bristol (10 February 2017)

Everything you need, a well equipped cottage even down to a dog towel for muddy paws. The accommodation was very clean and well proportioned. The canal is close and great for walking. The nearest pub is not doing food at the moment so anywhere to eat is a drive or a 4 mile walk along the canal. Would stay here again without hesitation.
Claire from Newport (06 February 2017)

Relaxing and quiet. No mobile network access ( which can only be a good thing ). would definitely return and the hot tub very very nice
Dani from Bristol (03 February 2017)

Great weekend break away , hot tub was the highlight ! garden needed attention .fence falling down .
Sarah from Exmouth (30 January 2017)

The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The location was great with lovely walks along the canal.
Gerry (30 January 2017)

Lovely cottage, home from home, clean nice facilities, hot tub was great and very private.
Claire from Bristol (30 January 2017)

Absolutely amazing week at whipcott water! we couldn't of wished for anything else. We will be returning for sure.
Abbe (27 January 2017)

Lovely accommodation very clean cosy and warm. Every thing that you need for a relaxing break
Nigel from Wareham (27 January 2017)

Barge cottage was well presented and clean on arrival. we backed onto a busy road that is the main access to the local quarry so we had heavy lorries driving fast past us day and night and therefore we didn't open windows very much. the access to the hot tub wasn't private and we felt that a gate should be fitted to give more privacy.
Marion from Hampshire (20 January 2017)

Amazing time! the cottage was really nice and clean! the views were amazing and overall a really good break! would definetly recommend to my family and friends and most definitely will return.
Muhamad from Southampton (16 January 2017)

We have stayed 5 times and will keep on returning.
Verena from Cornwall (13 January 2017)

It's a perfect location for dog walking and a good dog friendly lodge. . the lodge needs a little updating in areas but good overall
Marie from Witney (13 January 2017)
