Nice lodges ,facilities good, good location , but park a bit hilly.
Roy from Methil (10 November 2017)

Had a fab time would stay again.
Jayne from Oxenhope (04 November 2017)

We had to summon the janitor several times in the 5 days we were there, for power issues. We're not extravagant in our usage. On one occasion, the power ceased with only 1 set of lights and the kettle on. The janitor was very prompt on each occasion, & waited to make sure all was well before he left. I think perhaps our caravan needs servicing
Michael from Barry (03 November 2017)

My family and I went for a week to the caravan park. It was very clean (although did smell of dog which wasnt nice considering we dont have on, but we understood its pet friendly). the caravan had everything we needed..except for toilet roll which we hadnt remembered to pack! so we looked at the onsite shop opening times to go get some. We found the shop closed 'due to stock levels from the holiday season'. luckily we drive so went looking for somewhere to get the essentials we needed! . on a particular day we decided to go to the 'indoor heated pool' the times we had been given were incorrect and we had to try amuse our children for 15mins before finally being able to go in..which isnt easy when all they want to do is swim and are too young to understand we have to wait. The pool was freezing! yes the room itself and the changing rooms were heated but the water definitely was'nt. . we had a poorly baby whilst away, he had been sick and very loose a few times. The staff opened the laundry on the tuesday morning for us (it wasnt due to open until 6pm) and even gave us tokens and refused to take any money. They also rang the local doctors surgery and gave me directions. The staff were nothing less than amazing! we only went to the evening entertainment once but our kids absolutely loved it. The bar wasnt too expensive but they really should work on their cocktail making skills as they were terrible!. the park is in a poor location for families in our opinion as very little to do in local areas without travelling. Glad we had a car!. overall a lovely break from home but wont be going again.
Donna from Brighouse, West Yorkshire (03 November 2017)

Very good. However, despite parks being almost empty, we were put in just about the only caravan with no view..
Steve from Halifax (03 November 2017)

Good for what we wanted. A family holiday.
Janette (27 October 2017)

Not a good site . hardly any food left or drinks due to not being ordered . would not return
Paul (27 October 2017)

Fab place. Would visit again.
Lea from Buckingham (27 October 2017)

Pool size inadequate for park size. Turned away twice -capacity 40 only and only for 1 hr, no warning of this on website! caravan very clean, however poorly maintained - curtain lengths different, heater in living room cut off after 20 mins, no heating in toilet.
Pamela from Renfrew (20 October 2017)

Love wemyss bay. Only downside was the carpet could have done with a clean. I took my dog so it was a pet friendly van.
Joan from Glasgow (20 October 2017)

Not a massive park with lots of activities but caters for everyone.
Julie from Blantyre (16 October 2017)

We had a good weekend break and enjoyed the facilities and location. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed by a selection of minor faults within the caravan. It was the small things like a missing curtain, door matt was torn, fish fryer head falling off, tin opener not working etc. As we left our house which was in better repair than the caravan which made us question our decision to visit wemyss bay. As said though, we did enjoy our break but a wee bit of thought for detail wouldn't have went amiss.
David from Glasgow (16 October 2017)

Great weekend away staff were super
Kevin from Edinburgh (16 October 2017)

One member of staff was amazing, helping us when we had any problems, other staff weren't too helpful. Near to glasgow, good places to have day trips to from here. Facilities where great and some lovely walks.
Stephanie from Perth (14 October 2017)

The bar was to expansive
Patrick (14 October 2017)

Beautiful location with some accommodations overlooking the sea and isles. Caravans were well equipped and clean. Quiet well maintained park. Staff let it down in that they appear unhappy in their work and struggle to force a smile or be friendly. Didn’t feel like true scottish hospitality, which was a wee shame.
Sharon from Dundee (06 October 2017)

Great holiday did not use facilities as we had our dog. Seamus our westie loved the caravan. Only negative is the hills in the park
Ann from Larkhall (06 October 2017)

All had a great time enjoyed our selves
Stephen from North Wales (29 September 2017)

Pleasant site built on a steep hillside overlooking the clyde. This creates the disadvantage of quite a steep walk wherever you go on site, especially if entering the site on foot from wemyss bay. This would be a concern if you have a mobility problem. On the positive side, the steep site means that very many of the caravans enjoy pleasant views over the bay. We didn't use the pool or other facilities so can't really comment. The site shop is a little sparse, but there is a sainsbury's local a couple of miles away at inverkip, and a decent sized morrison's about five miles away in largs.
Graham from Tamworth (29 September 2017)

We knew what to expect and were not disappointed.
Anthony from Morecambe (29 September 2017)

A lovely location, placed as it is on a hillside with great views of the bay. Ideally located for visit by ferry to the isle of bute as the terminal is opposite the park entrance. Also train or bus to glasgow.
Wendy from Gorleston On Sea (29 September 2017)

Great for a short break
John from Wishaw (25 September 2017)

The caravan was lovely - the only thing which I did not like was he fact that it was too hilly - the caravan wer were in was ok for me just now - I have only turned sixty and michael is 70 and the steps down to the caravan were very high with no real support
Michael from Uddingston (25 September 2017)

We enjoyed our stay very much we have booked again for next year
Georgina from Ayrshire (25 September 2017)

Beautiful area. Amazing views. Was just a shame that when we got into bed it was wet.. and it smelt of damp.. and the clean extra bedding had blood on it.
Donna from Nottingham (22 September 2017)

Stayed in a murray caravan for a midweek break with our toddler. Caravan was clean and had everything we needed, although struggled to fit in the travel cot. The outdoor play park was very good but the rest of the facilities were somewhat lacking. The location was good and allowed us to explore largs (lovely!), some of the islands and we even went to loch lomond one day. Overall very pleasant holiday.
Tania from Tweedbank (22 September 2017)

Good but caravan abit worn and tired could do with a makeover
Jane from Kilmarnock (18 September 2017)

Brilliant place for family breaks. Plenty for kids to do as well.
Daniel (18 September 2017)

Brillant
Susan from Grimsby (15 September 2017)

Lovely few days in a great location . staff were very helpful , caravan was comfortable and ideal for our stay.
Paul from Tenterden, Kent. (15 September 2017)

After booking this holiday, I read through some of the reviews and was not too sure what to expect as there was a lot of negativity but all I can say was that we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. It was a quiet girls holiday for myself, my 2 year old goddaughter, my niece and her 3 month old baby and from the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Reception staff could not have done more for us and even directed us to our caravan. The caravan was spotless, very well kept, very spacious and homely. Any small issues we had like not knowing how to work our heating or the button on our toaster not working, the staff were there within five minutes to fix the issue. Restaurant was very reasonably priced and food was lovely and served within no time at all. Lovely facilities on site including swimming pool, arcade, laundrette and play park to name a few. But the best part of our holiday was the evening entertainment that was on each night. My 2 year old goddaughter loves to dance and the entertainment crew made sure she was involved and even gave her prizes and points for her dancing two nights in a row. Every night they remembered her name and made sure she felt welcomed and involved, so a massive thank-you to the entertainment crew who honestly do a fantastic job every night. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and are hoping to return next year, so thank-you again everyone at wemyss bay holdiay park.
Gail from Armadale (08 September 2017)

Nice clean caravan and site. I felt the facilities were small in relation to size of the park. Swimming pool could be bigger, perhaps a soft play for children ( a facility which you find at most parks ).
Lillian from Wemyss Bay (04 September 2017)

Easy access to train station and other coastal towns are the best aspect of this park. caravan was good, no problems. laundromat and venue are old and not very clean. staff are very helpful. would stay here again
Joanne from Colorado Springs, Colorado (04 September 2017)

Excellent for a family with children.
Rick from Lutterworth (02 September 2017)

Sorry to say caravans are not for me , the beds are the worst I have slept on, but saying that I think they are great for family's
Pauline (01 September 2017)

Fantastic location right next to the train station and ferry. It is a bit of a climb back up to the top of the site, especially with a buggy but the views are spectacular. The staff are friendly and mostly helpful a bed was removed from our caravan as soon as we mentioned it on arrival so that we could fit our travel cot in however when we mentioned (after our first night)that a light was permanently on in the next (empty) caravan, which shone in to ours all night nothing was done, when I mentioned it when departed we were told that we should have mentioned it sooner! the caravan could have been a little cleaner in the lounge area, we had to clean it before allowing our ten month old to crawl around as he appeared to be covered in blonde hair (mine is brown!). the restaurant was ok.
Annemarie from Cottingham (01 September 2017)

Overall a lovely site. Set on a hill, so maybe less suitable for some people with mobility issues.
Richard from Norwich (01 September 2017)

A total waste of money. Facilities rubbish. Staff really unhelpful. Caravan old and sited on a dirt track.
Deanna from Sunderland (26 August 2017)

Although the views were lovely,i would not stay here again. Staff unhelpful, food expensive for what you got,and the kids can't play without being bullied on the park by other kids. Nothing like our holiday last year down south where all the kids played lovely together. Couldn't let the kids out of my sight. The entertainment wasn't great either.
Claire (26 August 2017)

Staff lovely. Site very packed with caravans and very steep. Children's play area very basic and small. Field at the very top was purely just a field!! surrounding area very port like and not seaside! local towns very industrial.
Caroline (26 August 2017)

The place was beautiful and clean. Entertainment for kids was fab. Close to the train station and the boats. Would defo visit again.
Nomqhele from Norwich (25 August 2017)

Good sight but very hilly if near the bottom
Elaine from Millom (25 August 2017)

What a peaceful and respectful place. No kids running amock..clean surroundings and very well maintained facilities.
Paul from Selby (25 August 2017)

Disappointed with everything for what we payed for. food was expensive and full of pepper. Was in the amusements and got asked for money off people who we didn't know, pool was rubbish staff was miserable. On arrival staff didn't have our booking in details, would never go there again. We ended up leaving 2 days earlier than we should of.
Linda (25 August 2017)

Not a very clean caravan. Not alot of thing to do for older children
Graham from Newbiggin By The Sea (25 August 2017)

We booked wemyss bay so we could visit friends nearby. We used the pool, which was very small for the amount of caravans there (only 40 people allowed in per hour.). the lodge was very nice, spacious & very secluded, away from the main "attractions". disappointed that the wifi was only at the centre and even then it was useless!! (we had difficulties finding it and logging on, it then kicked us off numerous times & the download speed for 1 film was 8hrs!!) for the amount I paid for the lodge - twice the price of a caravan, I would have expected either wifi in the lodge, or at the very least, faster than it was!! . that said, it meet our needs for the weekend.
Samantha from Southport (21 August 2017)

Wemyss bay is a fairly large park but on-site facilities are quite limited and the local village has virtually no facilities other than the train station. there is more to do within a few miles but anyone without a car would struggle at this park, particularly as the camp sits on a steep hill above the train station. overall, we had a good time, despite poor weather, and the entertainment staff were great with the kids. some areas need a deep clean, particularly the tables in livingstone's bar and the cafe areas (the waitress did wipe our table with a cloth when we asked but a deep clean is needed to remove the thick layer of grime) but the food is good and reasonably priced. . most staff were friendly and efficient but I was frustrated by the lady on reception to whom I reported a fault with the heating in our caravan. she seemed unable to accept that the system could be faulty and insisted that I simply didn't know how to use it. she sent maintenance staff to check but, having given them the message that I wasn't using it properly, they didn't repair the fault and we returned to find that it still wasn't working. when I reported it a second time to the same person and clearly explained that the thermostat wasn't working, she again contacted maintenance staff (in front of me) and asked them to "show the gentleman how to use his heating". this was quite infuriating. however, when I met the engineer at the caravan he quickly agreed that the thermostat was faulty, said that they "often have problems with them" and arranged for an electrician to repair it there and then. as a backup, he also put a convection heater in our caravan. so, 10/10 for the maintenance staff but 0/10 for the lady on reception - condescending and deviod of customer-facing skills. . overall, we wouldn't stay at wemyss bay again; not due to any particular issues, it's just that we did everything we wanted to in the area on this holiday and there's not enough there to warrant a return visit.
Gordon from Glasgow (18 August 2017)

Upgraded to a lodge after the caravan I booked was not suitable. Lodge was fantastic great views across the bay.
Steven from Stafford (18 August 2017)

The place really is a dump - the caravan we stayed in was in a pretty bad way, and although seemed clean, it really smelled - like something had died in there. The oven didn't really work, it was an old (really old) gas cooker that kept going out. . the bar are was really dirty, with cob-webs and dead flies. We had food (once) but that wasn't good either, and the cups, glasses and cutlery were all dirty. It actually looked like that hadn't even been washed!. . all in all, the place is pretty horrible and we won't be back.
Darryl from Edinburgh (14 August 2017)

Overall caravan had all that we need, clean and tidy.
Karen (11 August 2017)

Beautiful location with a great view. Staff friendly enough. More facilities needed.
Peter from Runcorn (11 August 2017)

We stayed here as a base to visit family and we never left to visit them!!! only problem we had was I had ordered a travel cot and had to chase it up 4 times before it was delivered to caravan. also I think there should be an area for babies and toddlers to play in like a soft play zone for kids under 2. all in all though we had a great week and will definitely be back.
Lorraine from Walsall (11 August 2017)

We had a lovely wee break at wemyss bay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the caravan site is situated in a lovely place and we will definitely be back.
Jean from Ayr (11 August 2017)

The caravan was a little run down, ripped flooring, hole in one of the walls!. we couldnt use swimming pool, either was full or chlorine levels not right so couldnt use. Outdoor space for kids was ok. Was a good base to visit other places i.e ferry to isle of bute, short drive to largs.
Laura from Selkirk (11 August 2017)

Site small and quiet... very hilly. Amusements very small and not enough pool tables. Club decent size.
Susan from East Lothian (07 August 2017)

The location was very good with very helpful park staff. The pool was small and 1 hour time restriction was bit disappointing.
Sam from Aberdeen (07 August 2017)

Lovely setting, stunning views! the pool was a bit disappointing, only had 40 person capacity and no slide for the kids. The kids still enjoyed the pool, it was just a nightmare getting turned away and disappointing the kids. The entrance and queuing area to the pool is really crowded, is there an alternative entrance that could be used as people waiting for pool sessions do block access to the bar area. Good sized playpark, very well stocked and reasonably priced shop onsite. The forest is great for dog walking and also helps to keep the worst of the good old scottish weather at bay. Really great location to pop to largs or other seaside towns for a day out, lunderston bay was nice with a great garden centre across from it. A word of warning to anyone taking the train, the station is just across the road, the hill to reception is very steep, if I take the train again I would consider getting a taxi from the station to the reception and I would gladly pay extra for it, as the hill was a nightmare to tackle whilst dragging our cases up.
Katie from Glasgow (05 August 2017)

I took 4 generations of my family to the park. everyone was catered for and we had a great time as everyone was so helpful. the holiday could have been very difficult as my mother is 87 and my grandson is 3, but there was plenty to amuse everyone. the weather was awful so the facilities were really important. than you so much.
Carol from Ardrossan (04 August 2017)

Very bad caravan condition, very dirty and heavily used. We asked the receptionists manytime to change it but they refused. Unfortunately, we are not satisfied with it at all.
Majed from Southampton (04 August 2017)

The site was clean and well kept. The kids club staff were really friendly. Unfortunately the caravan was not the best, however all faults we reported were fixed in a timely manner. The location is a great base to explore the local area and the views were great.
Amy from Colwyn Bay (31 July 2017)

Enjoyed holiday, worst part was wet weather but got used to it after a while.
Jack from Aberdeen (31 July 2017)

The planner given at reception was out of date. The caravan was not cleaned properly. There was no activities for teens even though it states there is a teen club. The food in the bar was good. The staff were friendly. we asked for table tennis rackets and was told that they had been stolen and they were waiting for replacements.
Paul from Inverness (31 July 2017)

All was ok , staff , location, place . apart from miggi bites . all group of 25 , all suffering still with itching and spots. Anyway good place
Shani from Coventry (28 July 2017)

Ideal for our short stay. beautiful area with lots to do. Good swimming pool - I liked the fact that the number of swimmers was limited to forty therefore ensuring a safe swim but still allowing access to all who wanted to enjoy the facility. staff extremely helpful, offering suggestions for days out.
Catherine from Swarland Northumberland (28 July 2017)

We break was good but I felt abit expensive. Caravan could have been cleaner
Helen from Maryhill (28 July 2017)

Beautiful park with excellent views from the lodge. Entertainment lounge would benefit from air conditioning as it was like a sweat box. Will certainly be back in the near future.
Gregg from Falkirk (21 July 2017)

Well equipped lodge. Would return.
Carole from Glasgow (17 July 2017)

The staff were very friendly and helpful including the security especially the lady security the swimming pool was a bit small and so was the entertainment hall and and for the size of the hall the volume of the kids entertainment was far too loud but it was a nice clean friendly park
Jillian from Alloa (30 June 2017)

Had a great experience, my son loved it . staff were very helpful. Plenty for the kids to do on and off site! food was lovely. Felt the swimming pool was on the small side, but we still enjoyed being there. will return x
Ashley from Glasgow (23 June 2017)

Very enjoyable and the weather was lovely.
Ann from Horsham (29 May 2017)

This park was smaller than any we've ever been too but the views were amazing!! . we tried to upgrade before we came but couldn't justify the £31 admin fee so didn't bother! caravan was very basic but we got what we paid for I suppose!. kids had fun at the swimming pool!
Vicky from Edinburgh (26 May 2017)

Holiday was fine our first time there. We hired 2 caravans my sons had great views out onto the sea whilst our van was waterside no views only trees a little disappointing. . my grandchildren all under 8 had a blast. Club and facilities clean and enjoyable. Overall experience enjoyable. Spectacular sunset on the saturday night one of the best I have seen.
John from Motherwell (22 May 2017)

I enjoyed my holiday at wemyss but found the staff in the reception to be very unhelpful. the entertainment staff were very good.
Customer 73 from Fk66qh (15 May 2017)

We had a fabulous week at wemyss bay. Our dog enjoyed the nature trails and hubby and I enjoyed the on site entertainment and indoor heated pool and sauna. Lovely scenery across the firth of clyde and you could get the ferry across to rothesay, of bus into largs..nice wee shops and plenty tea rooms. Before leaving, we booked up again for next year!
Pauline from Paisley, Renfrewshire. (12 May 2017)

Absolutely lovely place
Veronica from Grimsby (05 May 2017)

Fab holiday however the kids entertainment was the best. My daughter went to it once and hated it. The staff talked to much and made some rude / inappropriate comments between each other over the microphones so everyone heard including the children!!
Kirsty from Glasgow (05 May 2017)

Caravan could have been better considering it was a upgrade
May from Ayr (05 May 2017)

Would stay again great site with lovely views and helpful staff
James from Helensburgh (05 May 2017)

Only thing I would suggest is more things for toddlers baby swings etc small things they can go on
William from Bellshill (05 May 2017)

We had a great long wkend
Robert from Troon (01 May 2017)

Although we had a very enjoyable holiday the location of our caravan like most of them were set on hills with the reception and amenities at the top we were at the bottom. As we are of an age we had to use the car, walking was out of the question, despite this we found the staff superb and very helpful with info regarding the local area. This has not put us off using hoseason's in the future just not this site.
Peter from Finedon, Northant'S (29 April 2017)

Caravan was smelly and dirty when we arrived, staff were rude and unhelpful except one woman at the bottom cafe who served us during the day (can't remember her name sorry). my one year old little boy was having the time of his life dancing on the stage during the day (supervised by us obviously) and a rude member of staff spoke to him like a dog and shouted at him to get down. Takeaway was severely overpriced and staff rude. We had a nice stay all in all but some work on customer service wouldn't go amiss.
Rebecca (28 April 2017)

Lovely holiday - great place to stay with a lovely pool.
Josephine from Holmfirth (21 April 2017)

Very good value for money.
Jonathan from Whitby (21 April 2017)

Last minute booking with dog and grandson, caravan very basic with poor facilities and was cold and draughty and because we were sited at the entrance to the park very noisy from both the road and the railway. The park again had little in way of facilities and a suggestion would be to have better recycling.
John (17 April 2017)

Park badly needs money spent, everything looks old and rundown, staff are helpful, park is muddy, lots of litter, dog mess lying around.amusements need upgraded, bar and restaurant was nice but rest of park not great.
Theresa from Lanarkshire (14 April 2017)

The caravan was nice we liked it. The swimming pool staff were no very friendly and refused to give my son who's 6 a float to play with. The water in the pool was very dirty. The kids entertainment was fine. Nice scenery. We had to leave 2 days early due to unforseen circumstances and we did not get a refund or offer of a 2 day stay later on which we thought was a bit unfair. The site is more for younger kids in age 3 to 6 but older kids will be bored.
Christine (10 April 2017)

Booked on a whim with no expectations. Pleasantly surprised with the standard of the lodge and local area was fantastic. Lots to do nearby and my 3 year old was more than happy for the 4 days we stayed.
Gary from Kirkcaldy (07 April 2017)

Excellent staff all very helpful from check in to departure swimming team very good. Caravan clean and modern one fault dealt with quickly by maintainance staff. A car is a must for this park as the walk up and down to the road is not for everyone. Overall very good short break.
Steven from Dundee (07 April 2017)

Park is set in a lovely area views are stunning ,caravan was very grubby needs updating and entertainment was not very good
Raymond from Motherwell (07 April 2017)

Took the kids on holiday and they had a blast! facilities very good and staff were great, day trips to rothesay and largs were on your doorstep.
Raymond from Perth (07 April 2017)

Im disabled and use an electric wheelchair, this site is on a very steep and winding hill, enjoyed the holiday more when my granddaughters came, this holiday is great for the kids, you need a car to see the beautiful scenery, the sail across to the isle of bute my daughter really enjoyed.
Helen from Paisley (03 April 2017)

The food available in the bar was far too expensive and we would not eat in there again, apart fron that the holiday was good.
Mark from Accrington (01 April 2017)

We had a few small issues that were dealt with quickly and we were given a voucher for a meal for our inconvenience. I loved it I enjoyed myself and I can't wait to come back. The caravan we had was stunning and we were close to the venue and the shop- reception.
Nancy from Kennoway (24 March 2017)

Booked weekend for my self and kids paid good money and got caravan that stunk of dogs and honestly dog hair everywhere .this should be stated when booked we left early
Rodney from Inverkip (10 October 2016)

Mcdonald caravan we stayed in looked rather shabby and in serious need of refurbishment. Overall the caravan was outdated. Couch was absolutely filthy to the point where we couldn't even relax on it. On the plus side we had a great location where we could walk the dogs easily. I would return to this site as it is in a beautiful location. Also the staff were also very professional and friendly.
Miriam (26 September 2016)

Lovely clean and spacious park with very helpful staff and great views, ideally situated to explore the west coast and most other areas.
Daryl from Nuneaton (23 September 2016)

Had a great time.
Lynne from Glenrothes (12 September 2016)

Decent view over bay.not many facilities in weymiss bay but good base for touring the area. Caravan insurance for one week a bit expensive.
Eric from Near York (09 September 2016)

We had a great time at wemyys bay so much so we have rebooked for next year. Staff were very friendly location is great at the bottom of the hill there is a train station which takes you to glasgow central station and a ferry terminal which takes you to rothesy. Largs is about 15 mins drive away with supermarkets and high street. Caravan was lovely and clean on arrival had plenty of cutlery and crockery. Swimming pool is small but it was clean and had an amazing view over the bay. Childrens club was good but very noisy we have an autistic daughter and it was too loud we had to leave. The park is kept clean and well presented although very hilly which could be a problem for people with mobility problems. We are looking forward to next years visit.
Annette from Isle Of Sheppey (02 September 2016)

It was good value for money for our whole family. Really enjoyed. Used it as a base to explore all around.
Timmy (29 August 2016)

The caravan was dated shower cubical tiny, no wonder it at a crack in the back panel, (simply cant move in it) location was good, not much outside of the camp.
Carl from St.Helens Merseyside (29 August 2016)

Toilet seat was broken. Curtain rail was broken. . dirty plates and pans. Cooker was not working properly. My son couldn't play chess because no chess. My son couldn't play table tennis.
Ahmed (29 August 2016)

Caravan was lovely but the site wasn't great. . needs done up, for the money I would rather go to a site with better facilities. . entertainment complex was poor and needed done up/ modernised and it wasn't big enough. . access through site wasn't great for buggies, too hilly & road didn't feel safe. . pool was overcrowded although it was clean. . entertainment was poor, lots of hype for elephant coming out - she did one song and left.
Michael from Peterhead (15 August 2016)

Caravan was beautiful and immaculate. Site itself great, good access to largs and rothesay. Shame there's not much to do in area itself. The wee local beach could be doing with some upkeep.
Melanie from Cumbernauld (15 August 2016)

Like this site as location wise it is ideal to visit my son in glasgow and for him to spend some time with us. . . nice clubhouse with friendly staff and talented entertainment crew.
Stephen from Tamworth (13 August 2016)

The site is lovely and the caravan was absolutely beautiful. Couldn't have had a better holiday :-)
Joanna from Telford (12 August 2016)

We went to wemyss bay for my sons 6th birthday along with our 3 other children aged 2, 7 & 12. We were allocated our van macintosh ww were very pleased at the quality and cleanliness. However I was very disappointed when we went for a meal the smaller kids had pizza and smiley faces when the food arrived it was 3 smiley faces and a microwave pizza very poor value for money at the restaurant. The evening entertainment was fab and ideal as there is cash bingo during the early evening inbetween the kids disco and the starlanders perfect if you have little ones and aren't going to be out too late. The amusements area is very small and is quite run down, there also isn't very much for older children to do. The park was nice, swimming pool disappointing as it was really small. The onsite shop is closed very early and other than in the show bar and livingstones bar there isn't anywhere else to eat on site, the chinese along the road was lovely tho. Our little ones had a brilliant time. The only reason we wouldn't return to this site is because there is not much for older children to do and our 12 year old was bored all week. Perfect for little ones and older couples not so much for families with bigger kids.
Kirsty from Lanarkshire (12 August 2016)

As I come from this area I know what the area has to offer which is an excellent variety of features for young and old alike.
James from Loughborough (12 August 2016)

Site was clean
Laura from Norwich (12 August 2016)

Nice area and a beautiful park with good entertainment, but. On arrival our caravan had a very strong smell of curry inside. It made us feel sick. Not a good start and it wasn't the special break I had planned to take my parents on after a very difficult year for them. No complaints with the staff though as they tried to rectify with a spray. It did help for an hour or 2 but then the smell returned. Every morning when we woke up and every evening when we returned to the van it smelt just as bad. We had to open windows, light candles and spray air freshener every time. . the 2nd issue was the swimming pool. The water did not seem clean. As a family we swim a lot but something was off with this water. also, the "lifeguards" (3 of them) was to busy chatting and giggling to be able to survey the swimmers and did not ensure that the pool sides were clear of water which was the result of a lady slipping into the pool on one of the days. This was all a shame as the site and all the other staff was actually lovely. Unfortunately this will not be a site that I would visit again as I feel that our break was ruined.
Martyn from Rotherham (12 August 2016)

We had a 3 night stay last minute cheapie holiday .caravan was basic and battered. But clean and beds where comfy we where close to the club so noisy after midnight, people walking back to there caravans. On site grill restaurant was spot on very nice. Play park is good you can have a pint and watch the kids. Pool was very cold.shop is expensive. There is no beach on this site but lovely views of the harbour. Great for the ferry over to the islands plus if you have got kids visit finlaystone country estate it's fantastic.
Carly from Carmarthen (08 August 2016)

Kids loved it nothing bad to say !
Alan from Liverpool (08 August 2016)

There was not enough entertainment for adults with teenagers. every time we asked staff for anything at reception and bar etc, the staff were not friendly or helpful and I felt like I was putting them out for asking them for things. there was bingo for half an hour at night for over 18's but children were still allowed in and people who were playing couldn't get a seat or hear numbers being called. this was very frustrating and staff didn't help when we told the staff we were not happy. when we arrived the sofa bed etc had not been cleaned and were full of crumbs and dirty plasters. again when asked staff to help it felt as if we were putting them out to do it. I don't think I would return to weymss bay unless alot of more ebtertainment for adults and teenagers put on. cleanliness better and better training for staff so they are more approachable and helpful.
Anne from Glasgow (06 August 2016)

Overall break was good tho we did have our dog with us and only place we could go with him was beer garden. Weather turned for the worst so we were holed up in caravan as we wouldn't leave our dog in himself.
Janice from Paisley (05 August 2016)

Good place good views easy access to islands.
Samuel from Leicester (05 August 2016)

Had a great weekend would recommend site to friends. Disappointed not more of a village
Ilene from Penicuik (01 August 2016)

It's obvious how hard the staff work but many aspects just not good enough. Public toilet facilities were filthy, changing facilities at pool were shocking and pool was dangerously overcrowded with children. Many parents not supervising their children generally and some kids running wild terrorising guests. Caravan had awful smell. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive but ultimately I wouldn't return or recommend this park.
Anna from Kilmarnock (01 August 2016)

What a fantastic site! it's small but friendly, with plenty for the kids to do. we didn't visit the entertainment at the show bar but did use the pub, the food was lovely and good value. the site is only a short walk to the railway station and the ferry terminal so plenty of ways to enjoy a day out. the caravan was clean and comfortable with a lovely view. would definitely visit again.
Liz from Thornton (30 July 2016)

Well placed for our visit to largs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Caravan clean.
Rachel from Pitstone (30 July 2016)

We only used this facility as a base as the youngest in our party was 25 and everything on site was geared for children. There was nothing close by for us to walk to everywhere e did we had to drive to.
Sharon from Billingham (30 July 2016)

I found the caravan park to be in a very beautiful location. the two negative points I would make is the caravan we stayed in was a 3 bedroom stuart caravan but there was only one bathroom, there was no caravans with 3 bedrooms and an addition bathroom. the length of time to queue at the bar at the busiest part of the night was quite a long time.
Scott (29 July 2016)

When we booked we were told that we would get towels when we arrive but that was not the case and we had to buy 5 new towels. We asked to be upgraded and told nothing was available. The team at the park where not interested in customer service.
Raj from Manchester (29 July 2016)

Wessex bay is a great location. My son enjoyed the kids playing area while my daughter enjoyed swimming pool. Really nice bar. Nice staff also. Just opposite the caravan parks is a ferry crossing and also 3 miles away is largs beaches with lots of activities for the family and also another ferry crossing to the isle of cumbrae which we really enjoyed. If you like riding a bicycle would recommend it. The caravan was ok only the curtains needs upgrading. The shower was ok for the kids but not for the adults (not much movement). will like to be back again.
Susanna from Sheffield (22 July 2016)

Site very big and I felt it was far too big.not much to do for kids on a rainy day as there was 1 swimming pool you had to queue for.one pool table and the rest was mainly gambling machines and about 3 arcade games that I saw.there is one small play park but for the size of the site this was pathetic.the venue would benift from refurbishment.we saw cleaners leave duvets and pillows out in the rain and thrown on the ground for collection to be cleaned.you get nice views across the bay but overall the site could be so much better.
Richard (18 July 2016)

The kindness of the staff was amazing, maybe a bigger swimming pool,or indoor sport activities in case of bad weather would have been a better solution for our group
Pirero from Torino (18 July 2016)

Lovely caravan in a quite area of the park however it was big enough for 2/4 but would be a squeeze for 6.
Susan from Durham (18 July 2016)

We had a nice break but few things I think would be helpful. . 1. No real system for swimming so turned away twice because pool was full, told to go away and come back which we did but were told it was full again...a booking type system would not go a miss. . 2. Lack of changing rooms, young lad in pool was rude and one of the young lifeguard girls was clearly talking about me because I was unhappy about point 2 above - not really acceptable!. . 3. Wanted to book archery to be told it was cancelled, kids disappointed. . 4. The worst for me was the toilets in the main show bar, the ladies were damp, smelly and in need of a good scrub and if there is budget then a refurb would be brilliant. . 5. The kids park was brilliant, the bottles of wine in bar great value as was the food. kids loved the little beach along the road and the tarzan swing we found in the woods and made full use of the basketball course to play tennis on as the grass made it difficult to play tennis on the tennis court.
Laura from Paisley (15 July 2016)

I definitely recommend coming to wemyss bay the staff were brilliant always friendly and helpful and the kids clubs were excellent. Had a fabulous week despite the weather.
Joanne from Renfrew (11 July 2016)

Very average caravan a bit scabby 3 nights stayed in better to be honest elsewhere not any seats in entertainment complex..overall it's probably our last caravan holiday ..next time a hotel or abroad
John from Stranraer (11 July 2016)

Good value for money break. The kids loved it.
David from Forfar (08 July 2016)

Enjoyed our holiday. Only 2 things were a let down. Didn't like where our caravan was situated. and entertainment at night for adults was not good think it needs improved.
Michelle from Saltcoats (04 July 2016)

Great park will go back again
Susan from Grimsby (24 June 2016)

Great park nice staff had a trip on the ferry loads to do in area park was nice and clean
Tracy from East Wemyss (17 June 2016)

Fantastic family holiday in a lovely location
Adele from Haltwhistle (10 June 2016)

Very cheap but for something to visit you have to go further
Ionel (03 June 2016)

We had a fantastic holiday definitely come back and with our caravan being right in front of the club kids could come and go to the park on there own brilliant
Darren from Chorley (03 June 2016)

On arrival, we were in love with the amazing views. Caravan was visibly clean however we found lots of fruit flys in the bathroom. A member of staff knocked on in the morning to check if we were ok and we told her of the fly issue, she said she'd get the cleaners to call which she did whilst we were out for the day - bathroom was recleaned and no more flys. We then had an issue with toilet flooding - maintainance were out within 10 mins of reporting and had it fixed in no time - a common problem in our van due to how floor was laid and pipe not fitted properly afterwards. . overall we had fun - pool was ok small but clean. . looking at returning soon.
Robert from Greater Manchester (03 June 2016)

We stayed in a beautiful lodge and the views were stunning over the bay. Staff were friendly and welcoming and facilities were good for our young family needs.
Nicola from Durham (03 June 2016)

I had a lovely long weekend here with my children. Will definitely be returning in the summer
Jill from Glasgow (30 May 2016)

Staff entertainment and food was all good had a great time .
Robert from Kent (20 May 2016)

Lodge was great for the purpose we wanted we took our 86 year old parents with us because they where getting work done in their house . I would certainly come back with them thanks
Elizabeth from Kilwinning (13 May 2016)

Beautiful views from the site. caravan clean and tidy. reception staff welcoming and helpful. didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment. shop well stocked and reasonably priced. For a short break it was excellent. park is surrounded by lovely walks to suit all abilities and a short drive to the likes of largs and the ferry to the isle of bute on the doorstep. will go back.
Susan from Rosyth (13 May 2016)

Fab holidat great park fab staff very helpful will go back if can afford
Terence from Billingham (06 May 2016)

Lodges were great facilities great had a great time
June from Armadale (11 April 2016)

No draught cider all weekend and the staff we found very poor we ordered a pizza and it was burnt and was told that the chef knows it was burnt and that if we didnt like it then we could order something else . ( the pizza was so bad it should never have left the kitchen ) . that said we dont use all the facilities as we like to get away and relax so still enjoyed it .
James (11 April 2016)

Nice area. All very clean and tidy. Caravan was new, nicely furnished and basic. If we return would like to stay in a bigger caravan, and would enjoy a view over the water.
Lynda from Angus Scotland (08 April 2016)

Positives the onsite restaraunt was great the food was tasty hot and served quickly great value too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Negatives the toilet in the club was gross and the security on site was lacking. That aside nice park nice staff great for families.
Customer 148 from Scotland (08 April 2016)

Absoluteley loved the "bruce" caravan. Luxurious comfort & fittings. Wemyss bay, great base for exploring the west coast.
Julie from Edinburgh (28 March 2016)

A picturesque holiday park. smaller park than some i've stayed at but nicely kept and staff very helpful. I would recommend this park.
