Lovely location. Lovely wildlife. Friendly staff. Loge comfortable but looking a little tired which is easily resolved. Swimming pool clean and good opening hours. Would go back
Carol (16 April 2018)

A great holiday and good fun had by all members of the family! a beautiful, clean holiday park, offering immaculate and spacious accommodation. Good on site facilities, providing lots of things for our daughter to do. Would definitely return!
Hannah from Ipswich, Suffolk (13 April 2018)

Lovely little place and perfect if you want to get away from everyday life as it is in the middle of nowhere!. we had a lovely time enjoying the peace and quiet and will definitely return again.
Tamsin from Cambridge (13 April 2018)

The lodge was very nice, however as marketed as a river side place which it was I was very disappointed that you couldn’t actually walk anywhere along the riverside. having taken our large doberman dog who needs exercise and walks there actually was no where to walk to or anywhere to walk so from this point of view I wouldn’t recommend the location for any pet owner. :-(
Christina from Frinton On Sea (13 April 2018)

We had a wonderful relaxing time.
Jean (09 April 2018)

Enjoyed a lovely 4 night easter break at waveney with family. we are looking to book again. . be careful parking in the car park nearest to the river - one day it had flooded so much we could only get to burgh staithe lodge by ferrying people in our 4x4. I personally did not care for the lanes getting to and from waveney and i'm glad I didn't have to drive.
Janice from Essex (06 April 2018)

Great holiday, we were in a lodge with hot tub on the deck. The weather was atrocious (rain all day) so it was nice having the hot tub for the kids! . . the communal swimming pool was a little cold and changing rooms we’re small. Had a great kids playground!
Kathee from Surbiton, Surrey (02 April 2018)

Although services such as bikes and canoes were advertised on the website when booking on arrival we were informed these were not available. Therefore for an active couple there were no ability to use any excess energy and we therefore spent a great deal of time just walking. We can do that anywhere without it costing a great deal of money!!
Ian from Norwich (23 March 2018)

Beautifully clean, modern and comfortable lodge, our hot tub was very private but many on the site were not so if you require privacy be careful which lodge you choose and the hot tub was set at 37.5, which for us was not hot enough
Glenda from Scunthorpe (23 March 2018)

Loved the lodge, the facilities are pretty good for a small site, but because we went the week before main season started there was a lot of work going on ,new lodges been put up and ground work been done. It was very quite not just on site but the whole area and finding things to do was difficult even in the main seaside town of great yarmouth not much was open.
Natasha from Sheffield (23 March 2018)

Had a great relaxing weekend with family and friends celebrating my birthday and mother’s day
Patricia from Essex (12 March 2018)

Brilliant , beautiful place , we had heavy snow but staff went out of their way to make it as functional as possible alwus friendly and over helpful ,, . cabin beautiful and clean ,, . site lovely quiet and beautiful ,, overall great will deffo go bk x
Harriet from Brandon (05 March 2018)

Excellent can’t fault it, and the lodge we was in was a* would def recommend
Lewis from Ip16 4Ja (05 March 2018)

Lovely. Play park looked great but big for our 2 year old.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (23 February 2018)

Great location, very clean site, a good well stocked bar which also sold food, a bit expensive £12.50 for fish and chips and not many chips. But there is a mc donalds about three miles away which was very handy. All in all a good site though.
Stephen from Maidstone (23 February 2018)

Great stay at a great place. Signage to the centre could be improved, maybe making use of farm names? it was quite difficult to find in the dark and mist. it was a lovely relaxing break and good value. We will hopefully be back next year.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (23 February 2018)

Stayed before in lound- location much better. Disappointed we had to clean the floors ourselves as sticky and dirty on arrival. Lovely hot tub and meal at the pub as usual.
Amanda (19 February 2018)

Lovely accommodation, hot tub, friendly staff, nice restaurant and pool. Just a bit rural for us to get to shops etc, but I would recommend to stay with family.
Hilary (16 February 2018)

Second year in a row in burgh staithe spa . great girlie weekend relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Bridget from Gorleston (22 January 2018)

We ended up booking this break because our original booking at another place in norfolk had to be cancelled the day before due to bad weather and trees damanaging our cabin. We was so happy that we ended up at waveney river centre. The lodge was perfect and a really good size with lots of room. The hot tub was great fun to use day and/or night! but what really topped our stay was the staff. Every single one was so helpful and polite and friendly. We couldn't have asked for more after the stressful day we had after the last minute cancellation. We hope to return in the summer when the weather is better so we can explore the area next time as we only stayed on site but would totally recommend for people of all ages.
Emily from Greenhithe, Kent (22 January 2018)

Loved our short break at waveney river centre. Will definitely be back!
Lauren from St.Albans (15 January 2018)

Went for new year !! absolutely gorgeous lodge and hot tub was amazing !! we’re regular lodge/log cabin users and this one is up there with the best !! deffinatly worth a visit !! only down fall is hot tub isent covered so if it’s bad weather you crnt go in and other lodges are pretty close to each other !! but overall it was lovely
Kyle from Barnsley (03 January 2018)

For the money not as good as other places , swimming pool cold , changing areas dirty no room . cafe closed a large family who were camping did all their food preparing and eating in cafe whilst we are swimming, no tv in bedrooms , lighting very poor in areas around especially outside lodge ramp and no light near hot tub very difficult to see . been to lots of other sites cheddar woods hawk church much prefer there . the large group rather spoilt our time as at one point gentleman fully clothed sitting by jacuzzi was rather intimidating for my teenage girls . no staff around in evening . wouldn’t return .
Lisa from Hertfordshire (30 December 2017)

Truly stunning. Peaceful relaxing just a little piece of heaven .
Peter from Basildon Essex (30 December 2017)

I have sent feedback directly to waveney river centre. On a whole it was a nice place but it was clear that it was being run by skeleton staff. The pub was disappointing and check in/out times were too short.
Katie from Bedford (22 December 2017)

Amazingly beautiful lodge, all the luxuries and gorgeous views, we stayed at the marsh view lodge, the lodge itself is stunning, top quality interior decor very eye pleasing. Hot tub was brilliant and maintained daily every morning. The swimming pool is the warmest pool we’ve ever been in, it was truly delightful. A nice little park for children but could benefit more of a grass field for ball games and football etc. Overall a stunning place and great staff.
Thomas from Cambridgeshire (22 December 2017)

Lovely location. very quiet. wifi doesn't work as advertised.
Gavin (08 December 2017)

Beautiful lodge, lovely relaxing weekend. Hot tub was great but could have benefited from a little more screening did feel overlooked by neighbours. Would definitely stay again.
Carley from Cambridge (27 November 2017)

Great place , peace and quiet, just what you need after a stressful year , have recommend to most of my friends.
Derek from Northampton (25 November 2017)

A very pleasant stay. A nice touch of leaving us food and drink upon our arrival. Can't fault the staff, they were very helpful.
June from Essex (24 November 2017)

It was lovely, the surround area was fantastic. Unfortunately the heated pool was broken which was a shame as that was one of the reasons why I had booked it. Appreciated the breakfast bits which were left for us. The direction markers for the site were terrible.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (20 November 2017)

Excellent in every way. Didn't want to leave.
John from Halifax (17 November 2017)

Excellent break
Douglas from Boston (17 November 2017)

Lovely weekend away would definitely go back
Diane from Hucknall Nottingham (13 November 2017)

Nothing to do and dirty accommodation. . hot tubs are all exposed in the open for everyone to see, we was lucky to have a private one only problem with this was no lighting and a very dangerous drop off onto nettles when trying to put the lid back on in the dark!. overall boring and poor quality! loads of better lodges available all over the country!
William (06 November 2017)

We booked two lodges for a hen weekend and had the best time! hot tubs were cleaned daily, lodges were immaculate and although I think the park was full, it could have been just us there! it was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Perfect if you want to just relax. Would recommend and would absolutely stay again!
Amber (06 November 2017)

Wow!!!! what an amazing stay!!! we do a hot tub break every year and this has been the best so far!!!!!!! view from the hot tub was lovely, lodge still smelt new and was luxurious! staff pleasant etc! will certainly be back to stay again
Nikita (06 November 2017)

Fantastic weekend break, thoroughly enjoyed
Chris (06 November 2017)

Lovely llodge and nice park
Jules from Nottingham (03 November 2017)

Great holiday the lodge was beautiful.
Katherine (03 November 2017)

Lovely accommodation. We felt that there should have been a gate between the side of the building and the path leading to the property. My small children kept running off. Other than that, it was wonderful.
Katy from Long Sutton Lincs (30 October 2017)

Great family holiday, there's plenty to do. You have indoor swimming pool, shop on site, nice family pub with lovely food. You can even hire a boat for the day. All the staff are amazing. . our lodge was only built this year beautifuly decorated however the mattress was very uncomfortable both adult and the children's. I had to request for a guest bed, which they were ever so helpful. As a family we loved it here.
Millie from Enfield (30 October 2017)

Beautiful lodge, exactly as the pictures show. Lovely and clean and extremely comfortable with the added bonus of a great hot tub.
Claire from Essex (30 October 2017)

The place is beautiful and we stayed in a lovely lodge. The hot tub was great but tacked onto the side of the lodge and not very pretty. On arrival and beyond the reception and shop staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately on the second day the swimming pool complex had to be closed . we were told it would be for an hour but ended up closed for the rest of our stay. The weather wasn't great and the staff I spoke to, while apologetic, had the attitude of 'go away and get on with it'. the weather was bad and it was a real inconvenience as our youngest was excited about the pool. I complained directly and heard nothing. Great place until something goes wrong...then you'll be ignored.
Petra from Leicestershire (20 October 2017)

Thoroughly enjoyed our break, beautiful location. Had a brilliant family day on on a boat. Staff and accommodation were fabulous.
Julia from Leicester (20 October 2017)

Absolutely fantastic great place have visited many times and have seen the place grow and mature
Richard from Nuneaton (16 October 2017)

Was a fantastic weekend away and brilliant for being able to switch of and relax, the staff were lovely and very accommodating. The facilities were lovely however would have been nice if the hot tub was on decking and table and chairs next to it rather then being separated. Other then that was brilliant.
Danielle from Orpington (16 October 2017)

Great place for weekend or longer. will return
Jennifer from Royston (16 October 2017)

An ideal spot should you wish to get away from it all and just chill. walking is restricted to narrow lanes however the ferry opens up carlton marshes opposite the center.
Joseph from Spalding (13 October 2017)

It was a pleasure staying there, so quiet with stunning views, the lodge was out of this world. And all the staff made the stay so very enjoyable, they are so friendly and helpful
Keith from Tamworth (13 October 2017)

Wonderful quiet place to stay. The waveney inn and the indoor swimming pool were a real bonus.
Steven from Shefford (09 October 2017)

Perfect!
Louise from Rotherham (09 October 2017)

A very good lodge lovely inside. Very good activities and well priced! . only comment is even though they accept dogs the have very strict rules in regards to where there aloud to go in the lodge and not being able to sit on the sofas. I understand preserving the lodges however you do pay £35 per dog and feel you should not be so restricted.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (09 October 2017)

Very nice lodge we had a relaxing few days there.
Carol from Sittingbourne (06 October 2017)

This was the best holiday we have had in england. The lodden lodge was superb. Extremely clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the rural countryside for walks and spent time at the beach with our dog who loves to swim. We needed to relax and found waveney a very tranquil place. . can't wait to go back, and that is a first time comment from my husband!. thank you waveney.
Beverley from Bedfordshire (06 October 2017)

Really relaxing place to stay, the lodge had perfect views. Staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Lots to do in the surrounding areas. Food in the pub was good & value for money.
Annette from Nottingham (06 October 2017)

We only stayed 2 out of 7 nights due to the bed being very small i.e., width and length less than average. We had even brought our own memory foam topper and still found it uncomfortable. There was very little to do on the site and everywhere worth visiting was a fair distance from the sit i.e. Over 15 miles away. The lodge was very well set out and furnished (other than the beds) and the hot tub was fabulous. This site is ideal for boating holidays but lacks any amenities for anyone looking for a quiet break with some on site amenities. it would be great if they had more than one place to eat and the shop stocked more food choices!
Jane from Clacton On Sea (06 October 2017)

Great holiday thankyou
Susan (02 October 2017)

Lovely area lovely place. great location. lovely walks, quiet break.
Sue from Kent (29 September 2017)

Very enjoyable thankyou
Daphne from Mendlesham (29 September 2017)

Lovely clean lodge and helpful staff. Hot tubs are very relaxing. Pub is a little punchy on food prices but great selection of eat in and takeaway food. . great being close to nature and seeing the stars from the hot tub in the evenings
Laura from Bromley (25 September 2017)

Nice and clean loge. but not much to do in norfolk. For us
Pat from Croydon (25 September 2017)

It is beautiful there, but there is nothing to do and getting around is almost impossible. The staff seemed pretty friendly when we arrived but apart from that we didn't see them again. The accommodation was lovely but very hard to find as they were renovating the park. If you want a very quiet peaceful holiday then this is it but there really is nothing to do. we walked as far as we could but that involved really walking around the lanes. There are no villages or walks locally. The river is beautiful but you need to hire a boat to access it, we couldn't even walk along it. The swimming pool was at the top of the hill and was a little tired looking.
Customer 63 (25 September 2017)

Very nice place to stay relaxing holiday.the hot tub was nice and hot the welcome pack was great . the extras dressing gown slippers shampoo shower gel. The kitchen had all the mod cons nice and clean . the restaurant and bar was nice ,also the park was near to more attractions to visit.would come back again.
Maurice (22 September 2017)

Absolutely loved it,the week we had away was just what we wanted. Totally relaxing break from reality.
Troy from Colchester (22 September 2017)

Very spacious clean appartment ,very well equipped onsite pub /restaurant very good
Lindsey from Colchester (22 September 2017)

Perfect
Cindy from Great Yarmouth (18 September 2017)

It was a lovely penthouse apartment. I was pleasantly surprised. Want to go back there. So comfortable luxurious and ideal for a country retreat. Loved going down country lanes and buying eggs put out by farmers in cool boxes, for 6 eggs 50p, from their honesty boxes. Lovely site and great views. Also enjoyed pub and restaurant.
Nicholas from Leytonstone London (15 September 2017)

Lovely lodge and amazing hot tub, would recommend the lodges. to rural for me and my husband. Views were fantastic. Power cut on final morning ended our break on a down unfortunately. Very clean, tidy and well maintained park.
Michelle from Harlow (15 September 2017)

Fantastic 5stars *****
Neil (15 September 2017)

The site and facilities were excellent
Patsy from Cambridge (15 September 2017)

Fantastic if a little expensive
Martin from Welwyn Garden City (11 September 2017)

We had a great short break that we booked last minute. Never been there before but would definitely go again and have recommended to others.re
Patricia from Dagenham, Essex (11 September 2017)

Location is quite remote and down a single track road but by the river so lovely and quiet. . there is a shop and pub restaurant. the reception staff were quite helpful and friendly.
Cheryl (11 September 2017)

Ellingham lodge great in every respect. Waveney inn disappointing. We believe that in interests of hygiene restaurants should be dog free. 3 dogs were inclusive of four tables around us. Surely a separate area can be found for discerning diners.
David from Martham, Norfolk (08 September 2017)

Location great , accommodation was dirty , floors were gritty and covered in dog hair which I had to clean before my young granddaughter arrived , turned on the hoover to the most horrible smell of damp dog which was disgusting, and filled the whole lodge with a stench. Dish washer packed up , toilet broke , dirty bathroom , my 10 month old dog was attacked by another dog on site which was tied up loosely out side reception area
Tracey (04 September 2017)

The holiday accommodation was nice, clean and the welcome pack very well received. the hot tub nice and clean and overall made a good base to explore from. . the waveney river centre was well organised and the employees new how to meet and greet and the inn was very nice. . the only two grumbles we really had was that we used the pool later in the day and it just wasn't clean. the spa pool was really dirty the windows dirty and grime around the pool. thus said the kids loved it but mum got out and let dad do the pool thing. the second thing was the team running the hire of the boats. all young lads with very little experience. we hired a skipper for 1/2 day but the lad who showed my husband what to do didn't give any information on where to go; how to stop or any general information on using the boat for 1/2 a day apart from 'don't go that way'. it was much harder to park than anticipated so had to come back early which was disappointing for the money.
Elizabeth from Essex (04 September 2017)

Enjoyed very much. . not impressed by the pub, food was expensive and of poor quality! very disappointing
Nicola from Newbury (04 September 2017)

Great fun
Lenny from Essex (28 August 2017)

The pub took too long in serving breakfast even though we booked the table the night before. Breakfast was average in quality.
Elena from Romford (28 August 2017)

The park was in the middle of nowhere accessed by a 2mile single road. The facilities were ok however limited for children, shop closed early which meant you needed to go to the nearest supermarket if you needed provisions. The lodge needed a good update it was expensive and have stayed in better accommodation for less money with better facilities. The pub was alright however went in one night and due to the smell of fish made a quick retreat out of it. Due to park expansion, vehicles were regularly passing the lodge which was not mentioned when booked and which meant peace and quiet was shattered. The plus point was the staff were friendly and helpful and the welcome pack was lovely.
Kathryn from Chesterfield (26 August 2017)

Lodges to close to each other, food good, cleanliness of restaurant in and outside leaves a lot to be desired
David from Rayleigh Essex (25 August 2017)

Spot on everything was perfect.
Philip from Doncaster (25 August 2017)

Although the lodge was lovely and surrounding area was beautiful we felt that overall the cost of the holiday wasn't vfm. . the park wasn't suitable for toddlers - i'd say our 7 yo was just about the right age to make the most of it. the pool temp was a lot cooler than anticipated so again not really suitable for little ones. . we reported a lack of lighting in our hot tub only to be told it had been like that for ages! also we reported the lack of lighting in general on the decking area as we felt it wasn't safe. the brackets on the radiator surround in our lodge had broken so our toddlers were continually pulling it off which was a safety concern. maintenance attended but said there wasn't much they could do as the brackets on these were always breaking.
Kirsty (25 August 2017)

Three generations had a great holiday in spacious accommodation. all enjoyed the hot tub. taking the ferry and walks and canoeing. swimming pool a bit disappointing with too many restrictions. wi fi also hit and miss. otherwise we all had a great time.
Chris from Enfield (25 August 2017)

Lovely accommodation in a scenic spot.
Claire from Kent (25 August 2017)

The place was really nice but the restaurant was very poor we booked a meal one even whitch I spent most of my meal dodging a pool cue as people was playing pool the tables was to close to pool table, then on last day we decide to go for breakfast before leaveing the restaurant was a hour late opening to a member of staff came out to see us not to apologise but to make us feel our money was not good enough so ended up leaving without breakfast for a 6hour journey home
Mark from South Wales (21 August 2017)

Great little place, ideally located next to the river with boat hire on hand in various forms. We stayed a week in a lodge with a hot tub, very relaxing and quiet.
Michael from Welwyn Garden City (19 August 2017)

Surpassed our expectations. Lovely lodge in beautiful natural surroundings with great views across the marshes. Good facilities including a colour changing hot tub! we ate at the wonderful waveney inn every day. Highlight of the holiday was hiring a boat and exploring the river. Highly recommended.
Tim from Heckington, Sleaford (19 August 2017)

Great place to stay plenty on site and around the local area. Very good accommodation and friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend
Glyn (19 August 2017)

Had a lovely week but we felt the hygiene in the swimming pool not good. Every time I swam I had hair caught in my fingers.. filter system needs looking at. The women's changing room floor always seemed as if not cleaned even first thing in the morning. Once so bad and only been open an hour.
Marian from Seaford (12 August 2017)

We had a great break in very tranquil surroundings. The lodge was perfect for our needs and excellent value for money compared to other lodge holidays. It was very convenient having the pub/restaurant onsite which provided good value food and drink. The venue is in an idyllic setting on the river and we enjoyed having lovely walks along the river and across the marshes. The staff at wrc were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend a holiday hear.
David from Clitheroe (11 August 2017)

Really lovely lodge, the 2nd time we've been back. Cake, milk & bread a lovely touch on arrival. hot tub fabulous and well maintained throughout our stay. our pets were made very welcome & nice to be able to take them into the pub on site. Peaceful & quiet location for a relaxing break.
Jenny from Bedford (11 August 2017)

Very comfortable lodge, however the en suite is in need of modernisation as the shower door was off its hinges and the seals were mouldy. Facilities generally very good for a pet friendly lodge but outdoor verandah, dark and metal furniture too uncomfortable to use. Bed in main bedroom was very short. At 5ft 6 my feet hung well over the end of the bed! one of the bedrooms all the sockets were taped over so couldn't be used, which was strange. Hot tub was really lovely, a shame it was surrounded by stinging nettles. Lodge though was very spacious and peaceful. Reception would be even better if open say until 8 or 9pm. Bit remote but ok if you don't mind a 30 minute drive to get anywhere.
Anna from Harlow (07 August 2017)

This was exactly what we were looking for; to just get away from all the hassle and bustle. We picked a brand lodge and were not disappointed, everything was as you would expect, clean and new. The rooms were all of a good size, plenty of space, for alone time but also big enough to all be together. The hot tub was a really good size and private with a clever use of the cover and some discrete fencing. the view was of the broads and undisturbed, the occasional boat passing by in the far distance.
Steve from Salisbury (04 August 2017)

Great staff who made a fuss of our dogs. Lovely lodge which was spotless. Only downfall was our children who are 13 and 12 could not go swimming without an adult. Strange as they are competent swimmers & go to the local leisure centre alone. I do understand why, but perhaps teenagers could be given a little more trust, especially if parents were able to watch them and confirm their swimming abilities. Overall a great holiday.
Gavin from Colchester (04 August 2017)

Stayed in the 'burgh staithe' for 4 nights. . stunning house with lots of room, lovely views and surroundings. . would recommend and definable you stay again.
Cheryl (04 August 2017)

Our chalet needed a deep clean. hooks on yhe bedroomdoor were missing. Swimming pool was too clorinated leaving me unable to swim in it. The location was good and attractive. The food at the waveney inn was ery enjoyable. I would come again if the chalets were cleaner
Pat from The Food At The Waveney Inn Was Ery Enjoyable. (31 July 2017)

Pleasant stay, we stayed in one of the new lodges, haddiscombe lodge. décor and furnishings lovely but could do with some coat hooks for outdoor wear (there are none!) more coat hangers in wardrobes and the bath was lethally slippy! a non slip surface needs to be applied to base as we had a couple of slips and falls here, nothing serious for us but could be.. special thank you to the harbour master who went out of his way to make us feel welcome after a late arrival time. Building works going on next to the lodge which could disturb others but we were out most days during the busy period.
Hannah from Oxfordshire (28 July 2017)

Beautiful setting, lovely clean lodge, very nice to have a loaf of bread and some little essentials when we arrived. Very peaceful even though it was busy. Staff were very helpful and the location was picturesque.
Amanda from Hastings (24 July 2017)

Fantastic accommodation with a wow factor. the only downside was when a family moved in to apartment above which was right above our bedrooms. Unfortunately we were woken very early every morning as you could hear them walking about.
Customer 101 from Peterborough (17 July 2017)

Lovely place well worth visiting. Very clean cabin. Don't leave front master bedroom window open if you walk up the entrance path, its head height, be careful.
Jane from London (17 July 2017)

There is no dag walk for the dogs, all owners took there dog to the grass area outside our lodge where the barbecue area was to do the toilet, disgusting. No speed limit on the park, the speed at which some cars were going including the waveney vans was way too fast to be able to stop on the shingle road if a kid was to walk out.
Grant from Fife (17 July 2017)

Really fantastic holiday. Lovely accommodation and setting. Really enjoyed the swimming pool. Spent a day on a boat hired from the centre. The only slight criticism is that check in and check out times could be reviewed as you lose 2 days of your holiday. . will definitely return!
Alison from Bedfordshire (14 July 2017)

The site is right on the broads so we hired a motor boat for the day. Kayaking and bike hire also available. The bar/ restaurant on site was enjoyable and you can take the dogs inside, which is a bonus. The lodge was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was clean and checked daily. I had thought it would be more private than it was. It was next to the lodge and only partially hidden from view by a screen. The lodge was dog friendly with a secure slot in wood gate to stop them escaping from the veranda. The bushes and plants infront of our veranda were quite tall, so obscured our view and kept us in the shade, which was a shame. Maybe some pruning needed. I did note the the other lodges had less planting. its a lovely area with plenty to do. We had a lovely week.
Heather from Cramlington (10 July 2017)

A very nice lodge ideal for anyone who also enjoys boating . immaculately clean. helpful staff at the complex. restaurant lovely but a bit pricey. well stocked shop. complex a bit remote.
Gillian from Durham (07 July 2017)

We had a wonderful time. The apartment was very spacious, modern, clean and bright. Really good location by the marina. I would recommend it especially for families.
Janice from Isleworth (03 July 2017)

We had a wonderful time. The holiday was our dogs last we had to let him go sadly. He had prostate cancer that had travelled to his brain. Our dog really loved his holiday, we only got 1/2 the dog pack we where meant to get. I did take his bag so nothing was lost. Over all we had a great time.
Dee from Preston (30 June 2017)

Arrived and saw the location of the hot tub at the side of the lodge surrounded by a bank of weeds!!!! used it once but the view was pitiful to say the least. Verandah small and cramped. no dog gate, just a plank of wood!. will not stay again. Need to put pictures and information of where the hot tub is.
Susan from Dover (30 June 2017)

What a fabulous holiday, brilliant welcome from very friendly staff. lodge immaculate. . . wildlife amazing, we saw a pheasant family, rabbits, ducks, coots, terns, blackbirds, robins, hooded crows and owls. . pub restaurant on site, lovely food and well behaved dogs welcomed. . my only complaint, our stay came to an end.
Geoffrey from Deal (30 June 2017)

Lodge and facilities excellent, location somewhat restrictive in that; no good walks from the site, 5 mile drive along narrow lanes to get to main road, surrounding area disappointing.
Philip from Honiton (30 June 2017)

We stayed three nights. The view from the penthouse was beautiful. We had lovely days out at africa alive, great yarmouth and a dinosaur place. It was a lovely break.
Natasha (26 June 2017)

Would be nice to have more activities available for toddlers, there's stuff for big kids but not for little ones. Time to refresh fixtures and fittings to ensure luxury feel. Overall really nice place to stay and would go back
David (26 June 2017)

A really lovely spontaneous break
Emma from Wickford (23 June 2017)

Super location, accommodation and holiday park. Small, very quiet and an ideal base to see the area from, will visit again in the future. What a lovely place to chill out, the only sound was nature in the form of birds and local cattle. Loved it.
John from Elland, West Yorkshire (16 June 2017)

Had a fantastic weekend didn't want to go home .. we will be back very soon
Kathryn from Norwich (05 June 2017)

Comfortable cabin, beautiful setting.
Colin from Formby (29 May 2017)

Peaceful and relaxing.
Jessica from Stowmarket (29 May 2017)

Single track road in was a bit worrying to start with(with passing places)but had no problems, scenery was good, small leisure river boats and open fields.plenty of wild life and lots of different birds (helped by plenty of bird feeders by the lodges) the place is quiet and restfull. We had one of the older lodges which was nice and clean ,but there was some niggly points. Telivision was small with poor reception. Hottub was nice but the location at the back of the lodge was all wrong ( we had a view of steep bank, lodge and fence panel)some parts of the lodge needed a bit of t l c as some items were worn out(dishwasher, extractor fan and shower screen to name a few). the shop had all the usual basics. . the waveney inn the best bit saved till last, excelent food, real ale and helpful staff in the inn and reception, nothing seemed to be a problem for them. If I stay again it will have to be in one of the new lodges
Elizabeth from Essex (22 May 2017)

Lovely lodge, only disappointment hot tub wasn't very clean around edges. . amazing food on site . lovely swimming pool
Kelly from Lincoln (22 May 2017)

These lodges were in an excellent setting but were much more isolated than we anticipated.we had problems with the power cutting out but it turned out to be a faulty boiler creating the problem.when the problem was identified we were offered the use of a nearby lodge straight away. The lodges were well equiped-bedding and towels lovely quality. On our last morning we had planned to have breakfast on site in the waveney inn but found it was closed [other guests had the same idea and were not very happy]. we would return but would be better prepared as we now know just how remote the site is.[some people will love the peace and quiet but others not enjoy the single track road]
Lynda from Rugby (19 May 2017)

Accommodation was excellent, very helpful staff. Enjoyable boat trip from the site too. Could not fault the whole experience.
Kathy (19 May 2017)

We had such a relaxing weekend. The children loved the park and pool. The food in the restaurant was lovely. The staff at the centre were very friendly and helpful. Some seats or trailers for the bikes would be fab for children!
Candice from Maidstone (15 May 2017)

Great location, lovely people, peace if you want it, if not great facilities including pool. Loved it
Guy from Bognoir Regis (08 May 2017)

Could be better
Holiday from Essex (08 May 2017)

We had a wonderful stay. Just a few little comments I would like to add. . need to stock dishwasher tablets in the shop at all times. I was unable to find my dishwasher bowl as we had no tablets and none in the shop. I looked in all the cupboards until I found it in the cupboard where the water heater was, to my shock the bowl was full of water that had been dripping from the heater system which could of been very dangerous. I went straight to reception to inform of the leak and a maintenance man came straight away but was unable to fix it. I asked what will happen to the new people coming in with this leak, he advised that as it was dangerous they will be located to a different lodge. I feel that we should have also been located into another lodge as it could of been very dangerous especially leaking around the electric wires. The leak had obviously been detected by the cleaners as this is where they stored the mop. I did send feedback to the centre on my return but have not received an response from them. So hopefully by sending your this you may comment. . regards. Tina west
Tina from Crawley (08 May 2017)

The place is excellent for rest and relaxation. The accommodation was lovely, well maintained and well equipped. The staff especially those in the waveney inn were helpful, cheerful and efficient. The food was tremendous.
Scott from Fakenham (08 May 2017)

Very relaxing had a great time
Andrew from Ipswich (05 May 2017)

Great holiday, gorgeous views. We ate in the pub on site the ribs were amazing. The swimming pool was great for my 8 month old, very warm. We hired a boat for the day which was very easy and lots of fun. Only negative was the drinking water wasn't nice and was unsuitable for babies so we had to buy evian, other than that we had a great time.
Marie from Ashford (01 May 2017)

We had a lovely relaxing holiday.
Alfreda from Flore Northampton (28 April 2017)

Very nice place. good location easy to get to other places near the coast. Lodge very spacious and comfortable.
John from London (28 April 2017)

Great peaceful break. Location was too remote for us.
Lorraine from Northants (24 April 2017)

Brilliant as always. This was out 2nd time staying here and I will deffinetly be coming again!
David from Earls Colne (24 April 2017)

Was good
Svetlana (21 April 2017)

Lovely small site, fantastic food in restaurant, would definitely recommend. Swimming pool great, only 1 family changing room which is a shame as with more than one child getting changed can be quite tricky. Amazing hot tub, as a family we loved this. Our lodge was nice but could do with modernisation in bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen, living, dining room was good.
Shaun from Leicestershire (21 April 2017)

We enjoyed waveney river centre - slightly marred by having to secure a damage waiver bond of £200 - which was hidden away in the fine print of the confirmation. The marina and location is lovely - the shop needs to concentrate on food not clothes. The secret garden was great for the children but in desperate need of upkeep, such a shame to see it go to rack and ruin after all the hard work it must have taken to establish it. The waveney inn is a good asset - drink and food at resonable prices - good food too. We would not rule out returning, perhaps trying one of the lodges - we stayed in burgh staithe this time with our extended family.
Kim from Melton Mowbray (21 April 2017)

Fantastic setting, . beautiful river. Complex quiet but lively at the same time. Swimming pool very good. Pub and restaurant very nice with a wide ranging menu. Very helpful staff
Martyn from Knaresborough, North Yorkshire (21 April 2017)

When registering in staff are very friendly and help. . we had a dog friendly lodge with hot tub. the lodge was very clean and welcoming with fresh bread, fruit loaf, tea/coffee & milk. Hot tub was lovely to have but because of changing the water it did not get warm till about 9pm that evening. nice to know it was all fresh for us to use so worth waiting for. our view ( broad view lodge) was brilliant. our dog ollie loved looking at the ducks and people walking passed. with a gate on the decking we knew he could not go for a walk on his own. he really did fancy getting close to them ducks but it kept him busy watching them. . hot tub had a small amount of screening but a bit more would great to give you privacy.
Hilary (17 April 2017)

Beautiful loved every second of it didn't want it to end specially the hot tub wow.
Keeley from London (17 April 2017)

Enjoyable and relaxing.
Mandy from London (10 April 2017)

Lovely relaxing weekend break away. Great surroundings and hot tub was the best. Was very sad to leave.
Rachel (10 April 2017)

Would of enjoyed it , however neighbouring people loud had us up until three in the morning . spent their time in hot tub all night . loud kids in morning and chased all the wildlife away . not good
Lester (03 April 2017)

I have completed a survey last week. I gave poor comments purely because I am in a wheelchair and it is not suitable. however for someone upright it's fine!. the thick gavel from lodge to reception was extremely difficult to wheel on so used car to go to main area. The step that lead to slope at the bottom going up to pool was ridiculous and I actually took a fall out of my chair and injured my arm and damaged my wheelchair . I said to my children about the pool so they were excited, but as under 14 I had to go with them so ended up having to bump down steps on my bottom to poolside. . the area was lovely but for me I wouldn't return as just not easy, so maybe you need to say it's not a place for wheelchairs.
Louise from Uckfield (03 April 2017)

Great holiday really enjoyed it, wasn't there long enough will definitely be going back there in the near future.
Lucy from Derbyshire (27 March 2017)

Well kept grounds, friendly and helpful staff, lodge clean and tidy only drawback the twin beds are small for adults. Hot tub lovely. Narrow country lanes on approach but no problem with care and attention should you meet oncoming traffic, lovely being away from busy roads. Went out of season so missed out on some activities. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
Donna-Marie (27 March 2017)

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night break in well laid out and equipped lodge. we also enjoyed the hot tub.
Stephen from King'S Lynn (25 March 2017)

Excellent accommodation and the staff and location is excellent - will definitely be booking here again
David from Lowestoft (20 March 2017)

We found for us the cabins were not private enough, and they were still building which we did not realise, the cabins were great, and the hot tub good but there could have been some screening round. This may be a new site and when all the plants and trees have grown it maybe ok.
Mary from St.Neots (17 March 2017)

Poorly finished , equipped and maintain. Staff lack knowledge of local area and amenities.
Andrew from Cambridge (17 March 2017)

Really nice park and the staff was really polite
Daniel from Lowestfoft (10 March 2017)
