Quiet and peaceful
Kathleen from King'S Lynn (07 September 2018)

Accommodation was wonderful with lots of little extra touches. we loved the hot tub. food and prices at the waveney inn were very good.
Julie from Gainsborough (07 September 2018)

Enjoyable holiday for 3 generations in the same lodge, plenty of space and well equipped
Ian from Milton Keynes (03 September 2018)

Lovely place. Friendly and helpful staff.
Customer 4 from London (03 September 2018)

Beautiful place, shame the accommodation was dirty
Rebecca (31 August 2018)

Staff were rude, not very helpful. The restaurant manager behaviour was threatening and very rude which was a shame as the food he produced was very nice and good value for money. Reception staff weren’t bothered to help or friendly. The lodge was dirty, numerous appliances and fixtures were broke and generally very dated. The location was awful, unless you are in a boat or a 4x4 I wouldn’t recommend going here. Halfway through the week, the sewage drains blocked up and took them 3 days to get anyone on site. worst holiday we’ve had in years to the point we left two days early.
Ash from Staffordshire (27 August 2018)

Location and accommodation was very good. However, the lodge was dirty upon arrival. Cleaning needs to be improved
Vanessa from Oakham (27 August 2018)

Very shabby needs money spent on it, stayed in penthouse mouldy shower very dated and shabby awful beds.
David (24 August 2018)

Over all very good holiday enjoyed by all staff were good and the lodge we stopped in top quality, surrounding area outside the centre not so good as it is a single track road in and out
Paul (18 August 2018)

Lovely place, check in at 4pm I think is too late and check out at 10am too early you loose lots of a monday-friday break. Most other places I have visited are 2pm check in and midday check out.
Suzie from Essex (17 August 2018)

I really enjoyed the holiday. The location was prefect and for me the peace and quiet was great. The wildlife was an added bonus and we did a lot of bird spotting. We had plenty to do. When the weather wasn't so good there was plenty of places to visit. Facilities were good. I enjoyed the swimming pool. It would be better if it was open longer in the day
Veronica from Milton Keynes (13 August 2018)

Lovely holiday had by 3 families. Lovely quiet place. Fairly remote but the shop had what you really needed.
Debbie from Bristol (10 August 2018)

Lodges ok but personally think they could do with an overall tired in many places kitchen limited with appliances an electric kettle a must! good location for river activities but car a must as cannot walk to anywhere.
Patricia from Hertfordshire (10 August 2018)

Fabulous holiday. The large house was very spacious and well equipped. Great time had by all.
Tracy from Maidstone (10 August 2018)

Lovely comfortable relaxing break.
Ian from Tonbridge (06 August 2018)

Loved our relaxed lodge holiday with the added luxury of a hot tub. Very clean and friendly helpful staff
Clare (06 August 2018)

We had never been to this area of the uk before and we embraced it. Waveney river centre is in an ideal location to everything and it was so nice to have the option to stay on the site if needed. the garden was a lovely find. our lodge (langley) was in a perfect location.. as was the hot tub. it was an idyllic place to stay and to explore. I would highly recommend it.
Louise from Bristol (04 August 2018)

David (03 August 2018)

The lodge was wonderful, the hot tub great and easy to use. There were dog bowls/ towel there so that was nice and a dog gate that was brilliant! the park was great, a nice shop on site and the pub was nice but far too pricey for what you got. Pubs within 5/10 minute drive. The site was very relaxing with lovely plants and a lovely setting. We enjoyed the swimming pool every day. The lodge was well equipped with quality fittings, but needs a few extra plates/ cutlery. Definitely recommend for older kids and a dog or a good base if you have younger. Kids. 30 mins to beautiful lowestoft beach.
Joanne from West Yorkshire (30 July 2018)

A beautiful location. Our lodge was amazing. The pub could do with a little tlc but otherwise a great holiday.
Kate from Essex (30 July 2018)

Lovely location which I will visit again in the future.
Samantha (27 July 2018)

It was a lovely family break.
Jayne from Wellingborough (27 July 2018)

The lodge we stayed in had loads of pet hairs and was grubby we done some cleaning ourselves when we got there. We don’t have pets and had 2 children one a toddler so this was not acceptable.
Tracey from North Grays Essex (27 July 2018)

We (family of 6) had a great time at waveney staying in a lodge. The hot tub was perfect, the pool was clean & never over crowded & the pub prices were reasonable. All the staff were helpful & friendly & we will definitely be back!
Paul (27 July 2018)

Can not fault how gorgeous the lodge was and surrounding area. However, the pool could do with a refurbishment with added features for children e.g. Waterslide or splashzone outside? pub food was ok bit over priced but only ate there girst night anyway. . would still highly recommend
Joanne from Warrington (27 July 2018)

A very peaceful and tranquil site, set away from towns and busy roads. Our lodge was spacious and well equipped. nice pool, play area and relaxing walks. Would also recommend the waveney inn for lunch/dinner. Great selection of fab tasting food.
Sam from Essex (27 July 2018)

A great place to stay, superb lodge, just a little isolated, but if that’s what you like then it’s ideal
Paul from Leicestershire (23 July 2018)

An amazing lodge in fantastic settings
Steven (23 July 2018)

Fantastic location and facilities for our family weekend
Sheila (23 July 2018)

I spent a considerable amount on premium accommodation over a two night weekend with the promise of 5 star luxury - I am sad to say this wasn't our experience and I would have found an alternative place for luxury. The concept in a wonderful setting is good, however, the lodges are very run down with lots of damage and not in keeping with 5 stars. The facilities in the pool area are poor and it needs to be renovated. The location on the broads provides a tranquil environment and an escape but I would say a 3 star accommodation rating would have been more appropriate. I would not visit again :(
Lorna from Herts (22 July 2018)

What a beautiful place with luxury accomodation ,
David from Leicestershire (20 July 2018)

The farmhouse is next to a stables for 3 horses. The garden is large and spacious as is the house and the facilities were excellent for our large family of 6 adults and 4 children under 5 years old.
Fran (20 July 2018)

Really enjoyed our say here! fantastic facilities. We even hired a boot and took our two dogs with us. Our party size was three adults two dogs and two small children. Perfect for us all. Would love to visit again :-)
Carmela from Essex (16 July 2018)

Overall we enjoyed the holiday a great deal even though on arrival at the lodge we were faced with a full dirty ashtray on the decking table, and a feel that the lodge hadn't been fully cleaned and aired before our arrival. The on-site inn was lovely and served great meals. The site itself was welcoming, relaxing and the added bonus of being able to hire a boat on any of the days we were there was a definite bonus. One word of caution. We assumed all the lodges of our type were pet friendly.
Alan from Durham (16 July 2018)

Super holiday,lovely location
Chris (13 July 2018)

I loved this holiday in waveney river centre, I gave this a 9 because I just wish the place could charge a little less as the centre is in the middle of nowhere no where, to riding a bike safely on the roads is dangerous as you can't see cars coming at times, the roads to the centre are too small even for one car at times as the brambles scratched all down the side of our car. Loved our 2birth villa and hottub, that was peaceful and refreshing.
Frances from Corby (13 July 2018)

Lovely little resort for a relaxing holiday and for hiring a boat.
Justin (09 July 2018)

Fantastic
David from Leicester (09 July 2018)

We had a two night break unfortunately owing to the extremely late check in time (4pm) and absurdly early check out (9.30am) we felt that for the money this was pushing the bounds of acceptability . 6 hours to turn around a lodge? hardly efficient working? to make matters worse there was no sign of any reception staff to hand back the keys at the alotted time. That said the lodge was very nice.
Robert from Sheerness (08 July 2018)

Amazing!. peaceful, tranquil, calming, relaxed. The pool is small but really nice and quiet, we had it to ourselves most days. We had a great time and would highly recommend it.
Peter from Lincoln (06 July 2018)

The spa lodge was lovely, hot tub private. The 6’ bed great but too low for us as was the sofa. Unfortunately you don’t get the sun from lunchtime onwards on the veranda or hot tub and no view from hot tub enclosed.
Stephanie from Ilkeston (06 July 2018)

Lovely relaxed week helped by the glorious weather
Tracy from Thirsk (06 July 2018)

Excellent weekend, lovely place, and excellent facilities
Sarah from Chelmsford (02 July 2018)

I was worried when booking holiday as a couple of people said the bed not comfy. my husband has problems sleeping and for him to sleep in a strange bed and have the best nights sleep ever was unbelievable. can’t fault the place. would recommend without hesitation.
Julie from Swanland (02 July 2018)

Loved the weekend we have just had in burgh staithe lodge, such a lovely place and the weather was great, didnt want to come home!
Jean from Royston (02 July 2018)

Perfect for our couple of days away with the dog, and lodge very clean and well presented.
Greg from Grays, Essex (01 July 2018)

It was a lovely holiday the lodge was fantastic the hot tub was a hit with my 4 year old grand daughter. We all enjoyed oor stay here it was quite location with facilities on site like the swimming pool, playground and the pub and also near to great yarmouth and lowestoft would highly recommend this site to others. . my only thing was the lodge needed to be checked for cleaning standards we found a lot of dust and webs in the three bedrooms.
Pauline (29 June 2018)

Fantastic holiday in a beautiful setting! the standard of the lodges was great! we loved the swimming pool and the play park!
Kate from Hastings (29 June 2018)

Lovely location and very relaxing
Kerry from Sawbridgeworth (29 June 2018)

Hefat from London (25 June 2018)

Excellent interesting ideal for a relaxing holiday
Tina (22 June 2018)

Nice place nice staff, would come back if holidaying in same area
Cliff from Healing (22 June 2018)

Fantastic restful holiday from beginning to end. Apartment beautiful with views to die for.
Jackie from Ashford (18 June 2018)

An ideal spot for a lovely family holiday. The four bedroomed lodge was wonderful and we especially loved the open plan feel complete with enclosed decking area for the little ones to play. The setting is fantastic and worth the drive down from the main road. We hired a boat from the site one day and had a lovely time in the pool. the staff were all polite and helpful. The only small improvements that maybe could be made for us would be to have a couple for swings for very young children in the play area and to provide complimentary bath robes for six adults rather than just the four .
Anne from Macclesfield (15 June 2018)

Enjoyed the weather and the view
Christine from Croydon (15 June 2018)

Get away from it all this is just the place relax and watch the world go by.
Tony from Deepings'S (08 June 2018)

Took disabled father, who is unsteady on feet. Due to this had to book via phone not web site. Had booked a chalet with hot tub. At no point was I informed that the hot tub was not accessible for disabled clients. My father has used hot tubs before which had grab rails to help you get in and out. . . the road around the site was gravel so my father could not use his stick safely. I ended up using a wheelchair which was also very difficult to push in the gravel. . could not use ferry service as my father could not use the walkway to get on and it was not really wide enough for the wheelchair. . could not use the pool. We could not get to it as there was a step or grass to get to the path. . only disabled benefit of the chalet was the wet room and grab rails for the toilet (no grab rails for shower). however it was a standard toilet so we had to buy an extension for the seat. . parking at side of chalet not suitable for disabled clients, not wide enough.
Rachel from Leicester (08 June 2018)

Great accommodation ,clean and modern.staff where always pleasant and helpful.lots to see in the area.
Tracy from Carlisle (04 June 2018)

Great accommodation great staff super location
David from Sheerness Kent (01 June 2018)

A very safe place for our grandchildren to play. The hot tub was great! wish we knew that we had to pre book boat as we had sad kiddies when no boats available. Loved everything else!
Georgina from Earls Colne (28 May 2018)

The selection of food, toiletry & kitchen packs are very welcoming on arrival. The lodge had a lot of damage in it so we were extremely worried that we would loose the £100 holding deposit that they take from you on arrival so we took lots of photographs before the holiday even began. The staff were very friendly on arrival but as soon as there was a problem we were lied to on a number of occasions and also made to feel that they didn’t actually believe us. It says it’s a dog friendly site but there is actually nowhere for the dog to run off lead. The staff travel around the site on golf buggies and in vans at excessive speed even though there is a sign at the entrance stating 5 miles per hour, this isn’t only dangerous but dust flies up all over so if you are sitting on a verander enjoying a cup of coffee or a spot of lunch be aware. The shop is very over priced.
Jackie from Braintree (25 May 2018)

Excellent
Steve from Stevenage (21 May 2018)

We stayed in a lovely lodge that was in excellent condition. There was plenty of space for us as a party of 4 adults and a lively toddler. The view from the lodge was pleasant with plenty of wildlife to see. I think that the lodge could have done with a bit more equipment in the kitchen for cooking and serving meals but we did manage ok anyway. Not too many lodges here although some more lodges are being installed. This is a good place for people to meet up to holiday together because you can also camp here or come with a boat or go in the hotel. . this is a nice place to kick back and take life a little more relaxed but also have the opportunity to mess about by or on or in the water. Generally a very nice place to take a holiday.
Gill from Tysoe Warwickshire (21 May 2018)

It's a very relaxing place with everything needed on site. The roads are single track leading to the resort which can make driving interesting if something is coming the other way.
Chris from Colchester (21 May 2018)

We really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was perfect(marshside lodge) plenty of space for 4 adults, a toddler and a baby in our own large travel cot (we moved the bed along a bit but no problem). the lodge was clean and modern with a view over the marsh. The hot tub was fab and at night we could hear an owl. The pool was a great facility, you just let yourself in and the adventure playground is good too. The meals at the pub couldn't be faulted, excellent food every time and great service. We would love to come back again.
Dawn from Alfreton, Derbyshire (18 May 2018)

The setting is nice bit while we were there mileage was spread on local fields which was most unpleasant. I realise this is beyond the park's control. . . the bar/restaurant was pricey but the food was good. . . the park is situated remotely with small lanes to access. . . our hot tub was situated under a tree and our decking was at the side of the lodge on the internal road. some lodges were better sited.
Robert (18 May 2018)

Nice chalet and park enjoyed a relaxing break
Irene from Southend (18 May 2018)

Staff very friendly. Lodge needed a bit of tlc but extremely comfortable. Although could have done with two double beds.waveney inn the head chief was very un helpful and un accomadating when resturant was empty and we wanted to eat for four people
Dawn (30 April 2018)

Such a relaxing stay which was just what we were looking for. Country roads aren't the best but since we didn't really drive anywhere it didn't bother us.
Lorely (27 April 2018)

Amazing place, totally enjoyed our weekend. Can’t wait to visit again. 10/10
Marcia from Nottingham (23 April 2018)

A great holiday and good fun had by all members of the family! a beautiful, clean holiday park, offering immaculate and spacious accommodation. Good on site facilities, providing lots of things for our daughter to do. Would definitely return!
Hannah from Ipswich, Suffolk (13 April 2018)

Lovely little place and perfect if you want to get away from everyday life as it is in the middle of nowhere!. we had a lovely time enjoying the peace and quiet and will definitely return again.
Tamsin from Cambridge (13 April 2018)

The lodge was very nice, however as marketed as a river side place which it was I was very disappointed that you couldn’t actually walk anywhere along the riverside. having taken our large doberman dog who needs exercise and walks there actually was no where to walk to or anywhere to walk so from this point of view I wouldn’t recommend the location for any pet owner. :-(

Jean (09 April 2018)

Enjoyed a lovely 4 night easter break at waveney with family. we are looking to book again. . be careful parking in the car park nearest to the river - one day it had flooded so much we could only get to burgh staithe lodge by ferrying people in our 4x4. I personally did not care for the lanes getting to and from waveney and i'm glad I didn't have to drive.

Great holiday, we were in a lodge with hot tub on the deck. The weather was atrocious (rain all day) so it was nice having the hot tub for the kids! . . the communal swimming pool was a little cold and changing rooms we’re small. Had a great kids playground!

Although services such as bikes and canoes were advertised on the website when booking on arrival we were informed these were not available. Therefore for an active couple there were no ability to use any excess energy and we therefore spent a great deal of time just walking. We can do that anywhere without it costing a great deal of money!!
Ian from Norwich (23 March 2018)

Beautifully clean, modern and comfortable lodge, our hot tub was very private but many on the site were not so if you require privacy be careful which lodge you choose and the hot tub was set at 37.5, which for us was not hot enough
Glenda from Scunthorpe (23 March 2018)

Loved the lodge, the facilities are pretty good for a small site, but because we went the week before main season started there was a lot of work going on ,new lodges been put up and ground work been done. It was very quite not just on site but the whole area and finding things to do was difficult even in the main seaside town of great yarmouth not much was open.

Lovely. Play park looked great but big for our 2 year old.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (23 February 2018)

Great location, very clean site, a good well stocked bar which also sold food, a bit expensive £12.50 for fish and chips and not many chips. But there is a mc donalds about three miles away which was very handy. All in all a good site though.
Stephen from Maidstone (23 February 2018)

Great stay at a great place. Signage to the centre could be improved, maybe making use of farm names? it was quite difficult to find in the dark and mist. it was a lovely relaxing break and good value. We will hopefully be back next year.

Stayed before in lound- location much better. Disappointed we had to clean the floors ourselves as sticky and dirty on arrival. Lovely hot tub and meal at the pub as usual.

Lovely accommodation, hot tub, friendly staff, nice restaurant and pool. Just a bit rural for us to get to shops etc, but I would recommend to stay with family.

Second year in a row in burgh staithe spa . great girlie weekend relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Bridget from Gorleston (22 January 2018)

We ended up booking this break because our original booking at another place in norfolk had to be cancelled the day before due to bad weather and trees damanaging our cabin. We was so happy that we ended up at waveney river centre. The lodge was perfect and a really good size with lots of room. The hot tub was great fun to use day and/or night! but what really topped our stay was the staff. Every single one was so helpful and polite and friendly. We couldn't have asked for more after the stressful day we had after the last minute cancellation. We hope to return in the summer when the weather is better so we can explore the area next time as we only stayed on site but would totally recommend for people of all ages.

For the money not as good as other places , swimming pool cold , changing areas dirty no room . cafe closed a large family who were camping did all their food preparing and eating in cafe whilst we are swimming, no tv in bedrooms , lighting very poor in areas around especially outside lodge ramp and no light near hot tub very difficult to see . been to lots of other sites cheddar woods hawk church much prefer there . the large group rather spoilt our time as at one point gentleman fully clothed sitting by jacuzzi was rather intimidating for my teenage girls . no staff around in evening . wouldn’t return .
Lisa from Hertfordshire (30 December 2017)

I have sent feedback directly to waveney river centre. On a whole it was a nice place but it was clear that it was being run by skeleton staff. The pub was disappointing and check in/out times were too short.
Katie from Bedford (22 December 2017)

Amazingly beautiful lodge, all the luxuries and gorgeous views, we stayed at the marsh view lodge, the lodge itself is stunning, top quality interior decor very eye pleasing. Hot tub was brilliant and maintained daily every morning. The swimming pool is the warmest pool we’ve ever been in, it was truly delightful. A nice little park for children but could benefit more of a grass field for ball games and football etc. Overall a stunning place and great staff.

It was lovely, the surround area was fantastic. Unfortunately the heated pool was broken which was a shame as that was one of the reasons why I had booked it. Appreciated the breakfast bits which were left for us. The direction markers for the site were terrible.

Nothing to do and dirty accommodation. . hot tubs are all exposed in the open for everyone to see, we was lucky to have a private one only problem with this was no lighting and a very dangerous drop off onto nettles when trying to put the lid back on in the dark!. overall boring and poor quality! loads of better lodges available all over the country!
William (06 November 2017)

We booked two lodges for a hen weekend and had the best time! hot tubs were cleaned daily, lodges were immaculate and although I think the park was full, it could have been just us there! it was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Perfect if you want to just relax. Would recommend and would absolutely stay again!
Amber (06 November 2017)
