Lodge spacious & clean, very quiet. super pool & friendly staff. plenty to do in the area.
Anne from Keelby, Lincolnshire (16 September 2016)

Did not use the facilities, but the layout of the lodges was very relaxing especially around the lake, with the ducks and wildlife.
Sylvina from Leigh Lancahire (12 September 2016)

Very relaxing holiday . just a bit disappointing no proper restaurant
Debbie from Burton Latimer (03 September 2016)

Spikes bar one evening unwelcoming due to outside function. otherwise fine.
Ken from Lytham St Annes (13 August 2016)

Beautiful lodges. We stayed right on the fishing lake with view over the golf course. The only draw back was the restaurant wasn't open and it was hit and miss whether you could get food in the bar early evening
Claire from Nottingham (05 August 2016)

Lovely facilities but unable to use them freely a lot of restrictions my 15 year old son unable to use gym even when accompanied by myself as he was classed as a child . he was not allowed to go swimming alone as he is classed as a child . reception staff took great pleasure in informing us and repeatingly informed us even when dealing with another customer by shouting across the foyer which seemed very unprofessional . but if you want your child to go speeding around or racing in a golf buggy then it's ok !!!!
Robert from Jarrow (01 August 2016)

This is our second year in a row to tydd st giles which speaks for itself! the location is so peaceful. I sat outside the lodge nearly every evening watching the sun go down. My sons. And I played golf a couple of times on the superb golf course. Amenities are close by at . wisbech with the holiday resorts of skegness and hunstanton not to far away. All in all. I would go back again.
Iain from Denny (23 July 2016)

Lovely spacious lodge. Although a bit tired looking. However, very clean. Wonderful views over looking the lake. Well equipt and use of the bbq. Plenty to see and do, within easy reach. Friendly and helpful staff. We didn't use the facilities, but they looked fantastic. This is a perfect place for a quiet getaway. The only complaint I have, you had to pay for wifi in the lodge. Also, the reception is dreadful. Needless to say managed ok without it.
Maralyn from St. Lawrence (15 July 2016)

Absolutely lovely lodge and surroundings.
Mel from Sittingbourne (11 July 2016)

Beautifully presented and equipped lodge in tranquil surroundings. for a family with two young children, the lodge was just what we needed - space for the children to explore both indoors and outdoors, with good distance between lodges so we didn't need to worry about disturbing our neighbours. with supermarkets and takeaways located within 10minute drive we had everything we needed. We would recommend staying in this lodge as long as you're prepared to drive to local amenities.
Julie from Buckshaw Village (08 July 2016)

The resort and resort facilities are very good, staff very helpful. we have been to tydd st giles resort 5 times and enjoyed it very much.
June from Stalybridge (01 July 2016)

A great 5 day break. Good food, good staff, good facilities.
Clifford from Ramsgate (01 July 2016)

Ok ish
Gary (28 May 2016)

Fantastic location and lodge was to a high standard, good walks on site around the golf course. Great value for money because we had a special deal. Enjoyed the holiday. There was a bar and other facilities but we didn't find the time to use them on this visit but we are likely to visit again.
Peter from Bury (27 May 2016)

So relaxing, watching the golfers and wildlife, the set out walks were very convenient, accommodation was splendid and well appointed. Such a pity the restaurant was closed for refurbishment at this time mid may.
Tim from Aylesbury (20 May 2016)

A lovely clean and well maintained site. The staff were all excellent as was the accommodation. Our only disappointment was that the bar and restaurant closed at 4pm each day. I understand that this closure was for refurbishment of the restaurant. Necessary, i'm sure, but still a little disappointing to have to get in the car each evening to find somewhere for dinner. Overall, though, I can't fault tydd st giles resort or their staff and would very much like, some time, to return.
Valerie from Maldon, Essex (06 May 2016)

Beautiful setting, lodge was excellent. sadly the restaurant was not open and the golf shop was very limited with stock and did not offer a hire service. the golf course was well kept and well designed. for anglers the lodges with their own pontoon is ideal and all in all a lovely setting. we would consider coming back and would hope the restaurant is now open.
Peter from Waterlooville (06 May 2016)

The lodge was lovely and very clean, the site was great too and well kept as well as the swimming pool ect. One thing it's missing is a restaurant or place to eat.
Amy from Rayleigh (06 May 2016)

The lodge we stayed in was lovely, well appointed, had everything you need etc. View was lovely too, very restful. . two negatives - the rules on when children can use the pool are a bit silly - basically if you wanted to use it at the weekend you couldn't do anything else in the day because it is only the hours in the middle of the day. The roads around this area are awful! nothing that tydd st giles can do about it, but it made getting anywhere a bit of a pain!
Abigail from Sidcup (25 April 2016)

Beautiful lodge in peaceful, tranquil location. A great place to get away from the stresses of life!
Claire from Suffolk (18 March 2016)

Great location and omfortable acc
Gill (29 February 2016)

Excellent. Minus 1 star as no towels provided.
Jonny from Norfolk (11 January 2016)

This is a very relaxing place to stay - the lodge was lovely, and great views of the lake and wildlife - feeding all the ducks was great, haven't done that since I was a child. the dogs loved it too and loved the walks - it would be good if the restaurant offered takeaway meals though and stayed open a little later and all week but we got on fine
Gina from Pewsey (02 November 2015)

Had a great holiday at tydd st giles, very peaceful and great leisure centre. Stayed in a country home which I couldn't fault, a real home from home, we will definitely be back!
Kerry from Rayleigh (30 October 2015)

Lovely location - the nature walk around the estate/golf course is ideal for walkers . not a lot else to do unless you are a golfer. The leisure centre is extra - even if you have booked accommodation the pool is extra. The new restaurant is very good but do check opening times - sunday carvery was one of the best we've had and very reasonable. All the staff were excellent.
Karen (26 October 2015)

Third time at tydd st giles and will be staying there again in the future.
Henry from Northampton (19 September 2015)

A great holiday spoiled only by the inane £40 'security deposit' that could only be taken from a card and was out of my account for a week longer than we were there.
Ken from Wakefield (12 September 2015)

Great place, very peaceful. Lovely spa facilities. Staff very helpful and friendly. We shall return in the future. . . the lodge was also very clean and had everything you needed. Make sure you take your own towels as these are not provided.
Gemma from Surrey (07 September 2015)

I stayed on the site previously for 6 months in the winter months while working in the area and always intended to return in the summer months. My return stay this time with my partner was not to disappoint , still a delightful site in peaceful surroundings but now with a swimming pool and leisure centre. The staff were really helpful and friendly and could not do more to help in any way. . we will return and we will try to book a lodge with direct access to the fishing lake. . my only comments for improvement were that the internet was expensive and so slow that it was not worth paying for . both of us were keen to try our hand at golf and thought it would be an ideal opportunity but there were no lessons available , a bit disappointing.
Andrew from Southampton (31 August 2015)

The setting for the lodge was gorgeous, overlooking a small lake. However, there are not a great deal of places to visit locally off-site, which would not be a problem if you are visiting for the golf or fishing. The pool and gym were lovely but unfortunately the changing rooms are communal (one for men and one for women). a tad awkward when you are on holiday for the first time with your son's 15 year old girlfriend! staying with three teenagers, the lack of free wi-fi was keenly felt. The cost to connect was prohibitive - £18 per week, per device! consequently we paid for just one device to be connected but the connectivity was awful and for one of the days we had no internet service at all. The wi-fi is run by an external company so we couldn't even get help from the staff on site, we were just given a phone number to ring.
Karen from Southend On Sea (15 August 2015)

Very relaxing holiday in a peaceful location. The only downside was the unavailability of a number of dishes on the restaurant menu. Would have also like to have had a proper jacuzzi in the swimming area.
Nicky from London (08 August 2015)

As a lodge visitor (and not a golfer) the place is clean, comfortable and tidy, the fishing is to easy, too many fish in the lake! . the pool and centre are good, but bar and restaurant need to stay open later in the evening for the lodge users, we don't always wan't to travel to eat and have a socialise! I know there are only a few rented but we need somewhere to go and meet others from the site.
Alan from Northants (01 August 2015)

This is the second time we have been to tydd, and enjoyed the surroundings, both times we have taken the dog who enjoyed the lovely walks around the golf course, good for golfers.,too the accomadation has everything you need, plenty of places to visit. Sandra from southend.
Sandra from Southend Essex (27 July 2015)

As a golfer I thought the facilities were excellent. The lodge was top class and the restaurant was very good even though they had a kitchen fire on our last day!
Iain from Denny,Stirlingshire (25 July 2015)

Accommodation very good but not situated where we were told originally.
Maureen (17 July 2015)

One of the most relaxing holidays we have had, the lodge was lovely and the surroundings were beautiful. Would definitely holiday there again.
Margaret from Newcastle Upon Tyne (10 July 2015)

Nice lodge and beautiful surroundings, very good leisure facilities, however very disappointing that the bar and resteraunt was not open in the evening.

Great place to stay, the kids enjoy the swimming pool. It is close enough to the coast for days out. Its not great for families which meant that there were not many there, which was good for us.

We had a lovely holiday - the lodge was one of the best we have been too, overlooking the lake. the only downside was the lack of free wifi, and the 3g connection wasn't very speedy.

Ok, we booked this as a special family break to celebrate my sons 18th, luxury lodge, health spa, restaurant and bar. The lodge was superb, having chosen to go for one by the lake this would be a wonderfull venue for a weekend or mid week break in early spring or summer, bring your fishing gea and golf clubs !. sadly we were dissapointed by the facilities check the opening times before you book, we booked a mid week break to include new year, the restaurant was'nt open, we really didnt want to pay £30 a head for a new year ticket and we found the bar closed on all bar the first night. The gym and facilities werent open bank holiday and closed early the day before so we only got to use the facilities once during ou visit instead of daily, very disappointing. When we did use the gym and spa, they facilities were good and I would recommend them, sadly the lack of being open during our visit did spoil it, when it all looks so good.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Benfleet (03 January 2015)

It needs to be mentioned that there is no on-site convenience shop & the nearest asda is a 15 minute drive away...wifi was not free in the lodge which is unusual..you had to use the coffee shop to get an hour free.

Leisure facilities were excellent, especially the swimming pool which our daughter loved. Setting is lovely, golf course well maintained. We also enjoyed a meal at the stables restaurant, food was good & reasonably priced, we couldn't understand why it wasn't busier as we were one of only three tables on a friday night. My husband is keen to come again so that he can try out the golf course.

Excellent facilities but you had to pay extra for it. Wifi was extra. Lodge appeared clean and tidy but needed a deeper clean as quite dusty in places.

Had a lovely family holiday at tydd st giles. the lodge was in an idyllic location overlooking the lake, enjoyed the nature trail and the leisure facilities.
Ann from St Helens (02 August 2014)

Fantastic park, everything about it was great! the lodge was spacious clean and had everything in it that we could ever want and need, staff were 1st class and on the last night of our stay we had a meal in the restaurant and what a joy it was. the food was out of this world, again staff were so friendly, helpful and really attentive and the price of the meal was amazing too! compliments to the chef there as she was outstanding! will definately be back next time for the 2 weeks as there is so much to do in the area and it's quite central to so many places to visit. so relaxing at the lodge and of course feeding the ducks and fish was a joy too. can't wait to go back! thankyou for an unforgettable holiday. :-)). only thing was the directions to tydd st giles would be better if mentioned newton as we got lost a wee bit and had to stop and ask someone! more info on directions would be helpful!
Wanda from Blairgowrie (26 July 2014)

Excellent location accommodation first class facilities very good.
Jennifer from Forfar (19 July 2014)

Excellent holiday. very quiet and peaceful location with beautiful new swimming pool and leisure facilities. only downside is lack of a nearby shop (nearest about 15 minutes away) for basic essentials.
Valerie from Bedale (24 May 2014)

If you like golf and fishing you will be ok . nothing close by . club house closed most of the time restaurant closed due to staff shortages. Only seemed to accommodate the golfers, when no golfers out everything seemed to shut down.
Teresa from Oxford (12 May 2014)

I enjoyed my stay at tydd st giles, the facilities on site are all very good. However, I am unlikely to revisit as there is nothing to in the immediate area of interest.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (05 May 2014)

Relaxing and peaceful surroundings.
Denise from Great Yarmouth (25 April 2014)

Although the lodge and golf course surroundings were nice the location is a bit quite and rural. The worst part of this venue is that the bar and restuarant were closed by 7pm.
Antony from Herts (21 April 2014)

An excellent week of fishing and golf in lovely surroundings enjoyed by 2 adults, a teenager and our dog, the only thing missing was a local shop and somewhere to eat out at night without driving, this has not put us off, we will definitely return.
Claire from County Durham (19 April 2014)

Had a very enjoyable few days , lodge was clean very well equiped and plenty of space for 6 of us and a dog.
Caroline from Crewe (18 April 2014)

A very quiet pleasant park. Great for anyone enjoying golf or fishing. The gym and swimming pool look good facilities but did not try these.
Maxine from West Yorkshire (04 April 2014)

Lorraine from Essex (04 October 2013)

Enjoyed our stay. Although we did not use the facilities, we enjoyed the surrounding countryside-(it's a beautiful part of the country). recommendations:- ely cathedral and the crown and mitre in tydd st.giles village for food.
Janette (04 October 2013)

From the moment of entering Tydd ST Giles lodges, I felt transported into pure luxury and tranquilty. I had gone away exhausted and needed peace and quiet with no expectaions of me and Tydd St Giles provided the space for me to refocus and recharge. I was joined by my family of four adults and the lodges provided enough space for us to have enough room to have our own space, lounging on the decking watching the golfers teeing off right out side our lodge. I enjoyed my time so much and felt so refreshed. I just wanted to stay for an extra week just to take in the surroundings and explore all that was on offer.
Miss C from Carnforth (01 June 2011)

We had a wonderful time. The staff, particularly Jodie and Natasha, were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. It was so good, we have already booked to return. Thank you for a great time.
Mrs W from Leigh-On-Sea (22 April 2011)

Excellent accommodation, staff very helpful.
Mrs B from Stalybridge (26 March 2011)

Excellent value for money, great golf course and good fishing facilities and the accommodation was outstanding. Will be returning later this year.
Mr K from Lowestoft (21 March 2011)

I don't think you could improve on the site. The accommodation was exemplary and the facilities for golfers appeared excellent. As a base to explore the surrounding area as none golfers or fishermen we found it to be an excellent resort and would recommend accordingly.
Mrs P from Derby (23 February 2011)

This is a home away from home. A very peaceful environment. The accommodation was immaculately clean and welcoming - a bottle of wine to welcome us. The house has excellent and comfortable accommodation with all the equipment you could need for a short or longer stay including a generous freezer. We would definitely recommend to other holidaymakers and we would definitely stay there again.

Ideal weekend/holiday break for Golfers and Fishermen. Accommodation is first class and faultless. Management and staff go out or their way to make your stay a pleasure. In initial stage of development so not a lot for young children yet.
