We love this place and if a lottery win should come our way we would definitely buy a cabin. It's calming, even with the jets flying about. The surrounding villages are lovely and everyone we met were nice. The campsite is lovely and clean. We stayed in a lil' lodge with our two dogs and it was perfect. The weather helped even though it was october. We booked for next year before we left and next year we are doing 7 days instead of 4.
Melanie from Ipswich (07 October 2016)

Lovely place. Great surroundings . basic caravan. On site restaurant very basic. Amenities brilliant. definitely would return. Log cabin next time.
Susan from Mansfield (30 September 2016)

We came here 2years ago and returned this year as we liked this park very much. Clean site and very pretty.
Beryl from Wakefield. West York'S. (30 September 2016)

The site is beautifully set out most of the accomadation is set around the lakes, which hold the water sports, fishing and more, but most of all it was relaxing and well worth the money.
Andrew from Nottingham (26 September 2016)

Had a great time, will try a lodge next time
Wendy from Newark Notts (26 September 2016)

Beautiful place, lovely new caravan this place is very good for children and young people and adults. only down side is that the facility's is too small for the park. There always seems to be a wait on food and sometimes the items did not come out together. E. G waiting 15 minutes for chips to come out with mains. Or 45 minutes wait for a plate of nachos and side of onion rings. the entertainment is brilliant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone.
Elena from Mansfield (26 September 2016)

Fantastic. Best holiday we have had for years.
Susan from Wigan (23 September 2016)

The site and homes all appeared clean, tidy and well kept. Our l'il lodge was very nice. Wifi very patchy in woodland way. Lovely setting, lots of nice walks from site, including off road walk to village which has quite a big co-op with a good range, approx 15-20 mins. the only downside was the noise. They do warn that it's near to an airfield, but that didn't prepare me for the very loud, and the even louder jets, that you here everyday. Mon, tues &wed, this went on until around 10:30 pm, drowning out the tv, and the ground and lodge vibrates. We don't use the facilities, but they all seemed very busy.
Lesley from Teignmouth (17 September 2016)

Excellent from start to finish! some staff training needed urgently in the restaurant but apart from some staff attitudes we had a fab time and are looking forward to returning next year!!
Alison (16 September 2016)

Good value for the money
John from Scarning Norfolk (16 September 2016)

We had a wonderful stay, it rained on the saturday but still loads to do for the kids. Entertainment staff were fantastic making a great atmosphere. Unfortunately the food onsite was appalling, took ages to come out and was either burnt or under cooked. We ate 3 times so it wasn't a one off.
Lyndsey from Doncaster (12 September 2016)

This was our third holiday at tattershall lakes. . my husband, myself and harry our black miniature poodle. On arrival we were delighted to find a "goodie box" for harry. It included a lovely fleece blanket, drinking dish and water bottle, a packet of dental chews and a lovely 3-in-1 pull toy. The main reason we first went to tattershall was because a friend had recommended it, saying dogs were made welcome there. This decided us and harry was made most welcome and we could take him around the park for lovely walks and we enjoyed a drink or a meal with him with us, other guests on the park were friendly and all in all there was a happy, friendly, relaxing holiday feeling everywhere. Already we are looking forward to a return visit. The shop seemed like a safety blanket because I did not have to worry if I had forgotten anything from home and it was nice to have a browse for little gifts to take home.
Jeanne from Yaddlethorpe (12 September 2016)

Brilliant holiday went as a party of 16 great base would recommend to all
Christina from Nottingham (12 September 2016)

Had an absolutely amazing stay at tattershall country lakes, I never even knew such a place filled with so many things to do existed in the u.k. I have travelled the high low and middle of the uk and this is definitely one of the if not the best places i've stayed. I will deffinitely be returning so much more fun to have on my returns. Regards. Rebecca poole
Rebecca from Wakefield (09 September 2016)

Great week away, good value for money and loved the splash pad.
James from Leicester (09 September 2016)

Had a good time but I wish that they would look at the weather. on a hot day they never opened the door on to the veranda in the spitfire bar upstairs. the reception staff bent over backward to help us thank you ladies
Doreen from Bristol (09 September 2016)

Very pleased with everything, except the fact that the swimming pool opening times were not very good, they were open between 10am & 1pm, then 2pm & 4pm, which meant that as we were out & about during the day we only once managed to use the pool, if it was open until 6pm this would give a lot more people time to enjoy its use. Also I couldn't get wifi connection, even the girls on reception couldn't connect me, so perhaps this could be sorted out.
Brenda from Bracknell (09 September 2016)

Me age 25 my partner aged 23 and our 7 month old staffy spent 7 nights at tattershall we had an absolutely fantastic time (we are booking again for next year with my cousin 2 children and my dad) once they heard and saw pictures they where as eager to go as we were to go back again we stayed in lil lodge 4 dog friendly it was beautiful only reason for 9 rating on facilities was due to mold on the shower silicone.. not a lot just a little would only need to be re siliconed and also the shower door was broken but we went during the 6 weeks holidays so I should imagine they were fully booked and had little time to correct this it didn't affect our holiday in anyway and the shower wasn't as bad as maybe it sounds.. its a very large park and not everything can be perfect I for one appreciate that. Due to it being a very large park I was shocked to see so many staff around there is always someone close by should you need help. I had read a review before I went saying how rude the staff were so I was apprehensive but it turned out I needn't have worried everyone was so lovely the activities are very much aimed at children which I suppose is understandable we booked target cross bow axe throwing and zorbing before we went but once there when we saw how it was aimed at children we expressed to staff that we no longer wanted to do it and they sorted us straight out with a refund which I consider to be kind since there was no other reason for us to not do it other then not wanting to.. we did not eat at the park but went to the pub just on the outskirts what fabulous value and quality we sat in the beer garden to eat as we had our dog the staff were very friendly and brought a water bucket out with our food for our pooch.. so thoughtful we did a lot of fishing as for the reviews saying their is no fish in the lakes that's nonsense me and my partner love fishing and we both caught (well I lost mine but that was my own fault) my partners highest weight was 8lb and he lost around 6 or 7 we caught carp only but to be honest that's all we were fishing for it was a very dark common and they are tricky to catch its not like going to a fishery you have to listen to locals about bait and depths and be prepared for a good fight out of the weeds.. but it is possible so don't loose hope we even had a maggot race in the tackle shop with the staff that was a giggle they are amazing people.. let me address the planes as that was another thing I was concerned about due to my dog.. they are not as bad as people make out we hardly noticed them and that's the truth only on one day when we were fishing right at the back of the ski lake (there's a lake just behind the ski lake for fishing) did they become annoying but that was only for around an hour and half which I don't feel like is worth moaning about we did go the castle but didn't go in as dogs are not aloud which is understandable I appreciate not everyone likes dogs and the grounds need to be kept clean was just abit confused as she was aloud in the church? we did water sports such as wake-boarding (a lot harder then it looks haha) and jet-skiing amazing experiences at night the park goes very quiet which was lovely as we decided to stay in and enjoy our time together so it was fabulous to not here party's all night through the days you just mainly here children playing and enjoying them selves.. overall I cannot fault the park at all I may have woffled a bit but just trying to give our experience as a young couple. If you enjoy scenery water sports and relaxing this holiday is a must.. great for families to I would say its great for everyone but then I have fell in love with the place.. cannot wait to return.
Jamie from Birmingham (03 September 2016)

Excellent all round for all of us.
Hannah (03 September 2016)

Really good holiday, caravan was long way from club house though so bit of a walk for our 4 yr old grandson. Staff were sretched as not enough of them but all polite & helpful. Site was good & will definately go again.
Glen from Milton Keynes (03 September 2016)

Very nice location safe for children bar prices very reasonable would defiently book again
Andrea from Blackpool (02 September 2016)

Loved our visit so much we have already booked for next year.
David from Bradford (02 September 2016)

We have a very pleasant stay, however the first caravan we were allocated was very grubby, dirty seats and cigarette butts all over outside of the caravan. having a 4 year old child with us, and a non smoking family this didn't leave a very good impression. however we went to see customer service who located us in a new part of the park in a very nice clean new caravan so we had a fantastic time.
Shelley from Durham (02 September 2016)

We were all very pleased with our holiday especially when we were upgraded to a lodge. Also it was very nice of you to leave us tea, coffee etc and wine and milk which was very nice. all the staff were very helpful.
Karen from Sleaford (29 August 2016)

Wasn't impressed at all with the comfort lodge. . it didn't feel very clean and it smelt of cigarette smoke. . no toiletries in the bathroom at all. Wouldn't recommend this accommodation. . the site was good - we enjoyed the activities on the lake. . . the evening entertainment for kids in the bar was poor. The local pub was nicely decorated inside and good for a drink. Food is very average though. . . spa treatment was lovely and a special mention to matt who works in the amusement arcade area - he was so helpful.
Nikki from Brough (29 August 2016)

Everything was good for such a busy weekend. Was disappointed that the caravan had no outside sitting area and the tables were really dirty in the upstairs bar. But apart from that had a great weekend.
Linda (29 August 2016)

Really wasn't sure what to expect after reading some terrible reviews but it's a lovely place to stay, we went for the bank holiday weekend so it was very busy and as a last minute break so we didn't pre book any of the activities, but there are only a limited number of places on the kids activities, the swimming pool is very small for the size of the site, we didn't even attempt it! we stayed in a superior lodge and it was lovely, the welcome pack is a great idea (especially the chilled bottle of wine!) some other reviews complained about the planes from the raf base being noisy, yes they are loud but amazing to watch, the jets taking off is quite something and it made hubby's weekend watching the spitfire flying over! . overall a great place to stay for quality family time, we will definately book again.
Jo (29 August 2016)

The only thing missing was some where under cover ( as side panels were broken on outside space) would have preferred somewhere warmer to eat with the family as friends had taken a dog.
Stephen from Wymondham, Norfolk (22 August 2016)

Love this place, free upgrade from caravan to luxury lodge. Unexpected and really nice of them to do that. Thanks!
Robert from Grimsby (22 August 2016)

Had a great holiday, we stayed for 7 nights, the only downside was the childrens evening entertainment was at 8.15pm and sometimes it would be delayed, which is too late for the children, so we couldnt watch any of it which is a shame. Otherwise nice park.
Lisa from Pershore (22 August 2016)

Lovely weekend and the children always enjoy going to tattershall lakes.
John from Newark (22 August 2016)

I place lovely the facilities great for kids and adults but the pool is very boring for kids. The restaurant is fantastic but sadly let down by the food quality... some staff couldn't for enough for you especially the holiday manager a lady in guest service. But bar manager was very abrupt and ignorant when one night leaving the pub/restaurant he was stood talking to other staff who was sat down and I politely 3 times said excuse me to get past with the push chair then when I had light hearted joke of or to bust talking lol he pulled a very s turn face and tutted when I got past him much to his knowledge my husband who had already got past and was waiting for me saw him do this.. not professional. Also I was giving keys at check in and went to the caraban opened it walked in and boom someone already in there. Average from start to finish including everything probably a 5/6 out of 10
Martin from Goole (15 August 2016)

Lovely resort. Lots of water sports available. play park and splash park next to the restaurant. There's also a small beach area in this area. We were upgraded from a comfort lodge to a new luxury lodge so can not comment on the original lodge booked, however I can tell you that the new luxury lodges are absolutely gorgeous. You do get noise from the jet skis from about 930am onwards and there's the aircraft noise frequently. Didn't bother us however if you like peace and quiet or sleeping in, it may not sit right with you. the only thing I didn't like about the site was the tourer site. Very over crowded and just didn't look nice. It was peak season so probably not an issue at other times of the year.
Joanne from Sheffield (15 August 2016)

Accommodation was nice, staff at pool reception very unhelpful and would be good to be able to book water activities at park reception rather than searching for where to book. Also signposting around the park could be much better we got lost many times!
Elizabeth from Nottingham (15 August 2016)

Brilliant! we only stayed for a long weekend but we will be booking for a full week next year. Best holiday park we have been to (and we have been to a few). the adults loved it just as much as the children!
Sharon from Lincoln (15 August 2016)

Had a lovely short break
Julie from Kettering (15 August 2016)

Lovely park, great surroundings, kids enjoyed the activities, just a shame the swimming pool isn't bigger
Shirley from Suffolk (15 August 2016)

I felt that the activities were a bit expensive, considering we are a family of 4 and each activity is £4 per person. . the entertainment was good and the staff amazing considering they were going through a staff shortage. . pity the bar didn't stock bottles of pinot grigio, only pg blush.
Laura from Norwich (12 August 2016)

This is the second time my family and I have stayed. The new facilities are fantastic. We was upgraded to an superior caravan which was clean and spacious. We have re-booked for next year!
Patricia from Stevenage (12 August 2016)

Excellent holiday. The only comment would be that we did not know that to book onto any activities, that this has to be done under a different company. . it is advisable to actually book onto these activities before landing on site otherwise you will be disappointed.
Lee from Warrington (08 August 2016)

We had a few problems on our holiday with the caravan general upkeep and cleanliness with flooding in the bedroom and a broken toilet the entertainment area was large and genrally clean but the bathrooms were filthy over flowing sanitary bins in all toilets the swimming pool is tiny and could only have 20 swimmers safely the pool and changing rooms were filthy the food was terrible we sent it all back and asked for a refund which we were given the first night we arrived the kitchen shut completely at 7.30 pm as they couldn't cope with the orders the staff in the guest services were brilliant and the bar staff were great but there were some that are very young and inexperienced the park on site is only good for children 5+ our salvation was the beautiful lea gate inn which served excellent food has a beautiful out side space which is safe and quiet we will not be returning to tattershall
Tanya from Everton (08 August 2016)

Large site small shop that does on premise baking smells lovely . appears short staffed in bars restaurants and shop. Lots to do . lovely location . expect overhead air craft nearby raf base amazing aircraft fly overhead monday to friday from about 9 am expect fly pasts from old timer aircraft
Sally from Kent (06 August 2016)

Lovely location with the lakes and lodges. The club house is nice and clean, with two bars and plenty of seating. If you are looking for an action packed or relaxing break, tattershall lakes offers it all (if you don't mind the noise and views of jets from raf coningsby).
Kanak from Newport (05 August 2016)

The staff although pleasant and friendly didnt know the site very well when I asked for directions I was directed to the wrong place when I asked about the activities the couldnt answer my questions they were not sure what the activities entailed and what the requirements were I would suggest you offered more training to the staff and employed staff that knew what they were doing .
Hazel from Lincolnshire (01 August 2016)

We went as a family of 4 and the weather was great we did not leave the park all week. The staff were very helpful and the prices on site were more than reasonable. Entertainment good and kept my 2 daughters entertained. We attended the evening cinema outside, and although at first the screen was hard to see once dark good viewing sound could have been louder,. overall we had a fantastic week and would definitely visit again.
Jimmy from Leicester (29 July 2016)

We had a lovely break , beautiful surrounds , the only thing I think it could do with is a fish shop on site , I think it would do a very good trade with the hook day makers .
Julie from Tyne &Amp;Wear (29 July 2016)

Really enjoyed kids had goid time plenty to do
Louise from Grimsby (29 July 2016)

Tattershall lakes is a beautiful place, we were a party of 5, we had a lovely caravan it was very quiet and scenic, we would definately recommend this park to others and we will be going back.
Connie from Grimsby (29 July 2016)

Lodge itself would have benefited from some method of cooling the lodge on returning from outings e.g.ceiling fan. Kitchen equipment particularly utensils was poor. For luxury accommodation the beds were spartan ( thin mattresses on a hard wooden frame). the restaurant took an hour to serve a meal in fact we gave up waiting. Inadequate fishing spaces with extremely precarious banks for less able bodied.
Jill from Sileby, Loughborough, Leics. (25 July 2016)

Lovely place although the lager was horrible and lots of people seemed to be complaining about the food.
Samantha from Barnsley (23 July 2016)

Had a great 5 day get away, weather was fabulous, was pleasantly surprised by the lodge we stayed in.
Tracy from Sunderland (22 July 2016)

Lovely but v v hot in cabin
Sandra from Colchester (18 July 2016)

Excellent for children. Mobile home was clean and modern and well equipped. Just needed blackout curtains / blind at the bedroom window. Toilet rather cramped for legroom ! but brilliant shower cubicle. Grass areas well kept and site overall very clean and tidy. Kitchen well equipped.
Barry from Beccles (16 July 2016)

Great location on fishing lake, had family visit for an afternoon, bbq by lake, they loved it !
Chris from Manchester (15 July 2016)

Beautiful park.holiday spoilt by raf base nearby as we have dogs and they were frightened by the loud noises the planes were making nearly twelve hours a day
Deborah from Loughborough (15 July 2016)

I had a fantastic time we stayed in a comfy caravan it was lovely and had everything we needed just remember to pack t towles the park had jet ski aqua park etc lots to do fishing was great caught big fish only downer is the size of the swimming pool recommend hiring bikes before you goas there was none left or take your own there is golfing too you don't need to pack your golf set has you can hire them out aswell as fishing gear the festival was awesome they even do bingo
Liam from Lowestoft (11 July 2016)

Excellent holiday in a lovely clean park. Great facilities and staff very helpful. Would recommend and would definitely return.
Lesley from Falkirk (11 July 2016)

An excellent holiday, made even better by the helpful staff.. the only thing spoiling it was the noise of the frequent jet flights by the raf. They were very noisy and very frequent but obviously the holiday people cannot do anything about that.
Gwyneth from Warrington (09 July 2016)

Very happy overall
Irene (08 July 2016)

It was our first stay here and we absolutely loved it.the caravan was first class and the park is so peaceful but has every facility at hand for the more adventurous plus not too far from other attractions in the area.
Linda from Chesterfield (08 July 2016)

A lovely park had an amazing stay would certainly recommend to anyone.
Stella from Hyde (01 July 2016)

We love it. been a few times now and plan to go again maybe once more this year and a couple next.
Dena from Lincoln (01 July 2016)

A magical holiday.
Susan from Newark (27 June 2016)

Thoroughly enjoyed a most relaxing break. Definitely would recommend to friends and family whatever the weather
Christopher from Nottingham (27 June 2016)

Very good would recommend to anyone
Neil from Hucknall Nottingham (27 June 2016)

Friendly helpful staff, good location . loads to do
Janet from Leicestershire (27 June 2016)

Tattershall has recently be done up, so the facilities were fab and the site was lovely. I do think they could do with either a bigger pool or another on site. Our lodge was lovely, but not spotless ?!? would defo go again
Julia from Nottingham (27 June 2016)

As a returning visitor we are very pleased with the park.this time some new amenities to explore and enjoy.never get bored with returning in fact get more pleasure with each visit.will been returning when possible
Barry from Humberside (24 June 2016)

Thank you very much for a memorable holiday, the accomodation was excellent, plenty to keep you occupied if you wanted to stay on site. Also many interesting local places to visit. We chose the site because it was close to the viking way long distance footpath which my wife and I are walking in stages. Hopefully we will be returning in the future for another great holiday
Customer 69 from Broseley, Shropshire (24 June 2016)

Was a great caravan but music at evening entertainment was too loud even without my hearing aids! the outdoor music was a continual bass huddling which could be heard in the caravan. The site was good, plenty of activities to participate in or watch. The view from the propeller bar in the evenings was excellent.
Carole from Rochdale (18 June 2016)

Location lovely the only thing that spoiled peace and quite was the jets coming over from the raf base
Lorraine from Nottingham (17 June 2016)

Loved our stay, even got a free upgrade was like home from home
Customer 72 from Grimsby (17 June 2016)

We had several issues upon arrival, no running water, the bridge wasn't turned on so we had to pull it out and plug it in. Cob webs everywhere. The food we ordered at the restaurant took an hour and half to come out and didn't even have everything we ordered (only 2 meals).
Jack (13 June 2016)

Specified to staff prior to visiting that we wanted to fish. The lake conditions for anglers on the island were very poor. Could not fish. we told staff who looked at us like we were stupid. we had to find elsewhere to fish. caravan needed a good clean too. It was very dusty and there were stains on the seating.
Stuart from Wolverhampton (03 June 2016)

It was mainly swimming pool changing rooms that let it down ! so dirty , they need for shoes to be removed before entering
Bernadette from Lincs (03 June 2016)

We had a great holiday the camp is great for adults and children will be going back again...
Janet from Dewsbury (30 May 2016)

Having stayed at tattershall lakes in sept 2015 we decided to go again. We went may 23rd for seven days, staying in l'll lodge on woodland way.the week was just perfect and harry our miniature poodle was treated so well where-ever we went. All staff and other guests were always friendly. The lodge was well equiped, just as advertised. We will definatly be going again, hopefully in the late summer.
Jeanne from Scunthorpe (30 May 2016)

Very nice place
Sean from Grimsby (27 May 2016)

Lodge was lovely, entertainment bit naff, food and drink little expensive.
Therese from Rainworth (27 May 2016)

It's our 2nd visit to tattersall lakes and do really enjoy. The alterations made are very good. Do find the drinks are very expensive tho.
Jamie from Skegness (23 May 2016)

Loved it wish activitys were closer as I cant walk far
Jan from Leicester (23 May 2016)

Good location, good accommodation and good facilities.unfortunately there was a lack of staff at the leisure services desk making it difficult to use these facilities.
David from Scarborough (21 May 2016)

Accomadation was clean and suited our needs apart frim having to carry all our fishing gear miles to pond.
Tracey from Cleethorpes (14 May 2016)

Really enjoyed stay. Pitt about the work being carried out but it did not spoil holiday.
Gary from Flint (13 May 2016)

Caravan was fantastic, although not entirely clean, a lighter was found down the side of sofa, and the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and was full of women's sanitary wear. Otherwise great. . unfortunately the electricity was off for a day, which made for a very boring day as my son was also ill that day, £20 voucher was handed out, but having 3 children and myself to feed cost me a lot more than that for the day. . entertainment group were great with children, and added a genuine friendly touch. The new facilities are fantastic, what a great job. . sales team also great and helpful when I enquires about maybe buying a static on site
Katie from Newark (13 May 2016)

Very disappointed with lodge no hand rails on outside steps bedrooms crampted. Access to reception ect. Very difficult due to work vans and cars also had to endure a power cut lasting hours due to a mains cable being cut nobody came to apologise or give any information when the light was starting to fade we had to find out for ourselfs
Roy (13 May 2016)

Absolutely fabulous time with family
Carol from Retford (09 May 2016)

Peaceful pleasant stay. Able to take dog and enjoy nearby walks. Small shop onsite for essentials and another for fishing tackle. Clubhouse and a small clean pool that we didn't really use.
Christine from Lincoln (06 May 2016)

Beautiful location and nice scenery.
George from Upham (23 April 2016)

Clean chalet but too noisy and could only fish on a very limited area.we were led to believe that there was fishing on all the lakes but this was misleading
Pauline (22 April 2016)

Very good location and excellent facilities.
Stephen from Thrapston (22 April 2016)

The lodge was excellent - the addition of a box of dodgy goodies was very thoughtful. . . the site itself is large and very well kept on the whole although some of the roads are a bit worse for wear. . . there's obviously a lot of investment happening - the new facilities are lovely. It was a shame we were not told about how much building work was happening. . . ate once in the pub onsite and it was decent and fairly good value. . . we went at a quiet time and we're lucky enough to have the swimming pool to ourselves a couple of times. It's not very big though so I can imagine it getting very busy during the summer holidays.
Rachel from Accrington (22 April 2016)

Great place to stay in static vans or lodges, building work was ongoing whilst we were there but we had been informed of this prior to our arrival
Kirsty from Nottinghamshire (18 April 2016)

They have expanded the park quite a bit since we visited a few years ago. The improvements weren't finished when we visited but it was all very nice looking and much needed. I would say most of the improvements are still a bit undersized based on the size of the park and the pool was wayyy too small and the amount of children jumping in basically on your head was a bit off putting. Park is in a rural setting, not much nearby but it was relaxing, with the exception of the noise from raf coningsby which went on until 11pm most nights we were on site.
Taralynn from Leyland (15 April 2016)

Had a great midweek holiday even tho the weather wasn't great we still found plenty to do. would love to book again but the prices seem to have increased dramatically to what we paid this time
Julie from Nottingham (15 April 2016)

Brand new caravan well equipped, very comfortable. Can't say peaceful but good if you like aeroplanes. (which I do) will definitely stop again.
Richard from Bedford (15 April 2016)

This park is in a lovely spot and the onsite facilities are excellent however I had the following problems:. . 1. I was never informed at any point during the booking process that major work was being undertaken at the site at the time I stayed. This included building work on the main clubhouse building, roads being widened and new lodges being put in. From 8.30am till approx. 5.30pm every day there was loud noise and the accommodation I was staying in vibrated as diggers and lorries drove past towing new lodges. . 2. No signs to the accommodation I was booked into and the park is quite large and easy to get lost in. I was given directions from reception from a member of staff who didn't know where my accommodation was as it was so new!!. . 3. As the accommodation I was booked into was so new I was the first person to stay there - it showed. Tv didn't work as no cable to connect it to aerial, microwave had not even been unpackaged and stickers everywhere which should have been removed. No information leaflet for anything so didn't know how to control heating or to safely use the gas fire!! alooking I was very frustrated as when I called the number to get these issues resolved I got no answer even though I was calling within opening hours so had to drive all the way back to reception to report the tv issue, not what you want after a long journey!!!. . 4. Lastly and most important this is not the park for you if you want peace and quiet as it is right next door to raf conningsby and they fly regularly. Again whilst this was mentioned on my confirmation paperwork it was never mentioned at any time during the booking process. If it had of been I would not have booked to stay at this park!
Elizabeth from Leiston (11 April 2016)

This is my second holiday at tattershall lakes; in both cases we were impressed with how pleasant the staff were and the cleanliness of the caravan. on our second visit the facilities were being extended I had two 12y r old's with me and they thoroughly enjoyed the activities . the tutor was very good with all the children and helped to make their holiday memorable. They definitely want to visit again. On the downside, in the new café upstairs we had to wait far too long for food we ordered even though we were the only customers ordering at that time, and some of it was not up to the standard I expected. However it was early in the season so I hope this has improved.
Brenda from Derbyshire (08 April 2016)

Arrived while they were doing lots of building work, came home early but they did refund my money. Would go again but would just check that all the building work was complete. It's not nice to be woken by a digger at 7:30am on your holiday!!!
Tracy from Selby (08 April 2016)

Will be fabulous when all the work is finished. Pool a little small. Children were disappointed that all the activities they wanted to do were already booked up when we arrived. However we enjoyed ourselves out and about. smaller kids loved the entertainment and the fly pasts once they got used to them. All in all we enjoyed a fab few days and would certainly return.
Liz from Beverley (08 April 2016)

Work was being done on site at that time, so roadways a bit muddy. . . only one problem:- i'm a light sleeper, so found the outside light from the neighbouring. Caravan very intrusive. it was on all night. . (i think that this was common to each of that particular caravan model)
Davina (08 April 2016)

Rubbish, uncomfortable, dated and dirty lodge. Couldn't sleep in cheap and nasty beds, left after 2 nights
Leisa (08 April 2016)

Love this place, lots to do. Came at easter while there was a lot of refurbs so booked again for july.. can't wait to see what they have done.
Deborah from Leicester (08 April 2016)

Had a great time with my children. The site was great and the facilities were very good.
Stuart from Hornsea (04 April 2016)

Lovely peaceful retreat with amenities on site. Good location for travelling around area. Friendly staff. Clean accommodation.
Cheryl from Knottingley (28 March 2016)

We were lend to believe the site was fully open but a few days before we went were told it had some building working going on between 8am and 6pm. We weren't told that there was no shop and the building work started at 6am and carried on until 11pm and our caravans were at the side of the building site and all the builders machines were stored near use not a great holiday. the staff on the site only cared about the people coming in on good friday not us.
Janice (25 March 2016)

Building work meant only one bar open, only swimming pool was open out of all the facilities that we were expecting. Only told a couple days before we travelled that work was going on but would be kept to a minimum. When we turned up the place was a building site. Never seen anything like it. How the park was allowed to remain open whilst this amount of work was going on was beyond me. It was extremely dangerous. Workmen even working in the bar whilst we were there meaning it was hardly a relaxing drink. Wires hanging out of walls waiting to be connected to tv's ect..couldn't park out side the club house due to work vans/trucks. Builders and their vehicle driving like mad men around the site not giving way to paying customers. We had a pram and were often made to walk in the mud rather than the road due to work vans either being parked wrongly or driven without pulling over for us. No lighting on the paths at night making it almost impossible to navigate our way home and with a baby and 7yr old with us very dangerous. Absolute disgrace that we weren't informed of the magnitude of work that was going on. Really poor to the point we came home a day early!
Adrian from Leeds (25 March 2016)

Not best pleased that we were not advised until 6pm the day before arrival that the park was not finished and was a complete building site- no facilities at all. Would not have booked if this had been highlighted before booking or we were notified more than 12 hours before departing to go there!

This was our second visit and we have booked to come back next year. Pros: great value for money, lots of free craft activities for the kids if weather not good, helpful staff, great kids evening entertainment and didn't feel like being bled dry of money all the time like some of these "family" sites. cons: during school holidays the pool is no where near big enough so time is restricted using a coloured wrist band system (we were allowed about 45 minutes per swim ). however that is probably long enough given the chlorine levels are so high that your eyes sting and silver jewellery turns black! there are not enough showers or changing facilities although those there are are nice and clean and modern. There were not enough places on paid activities which book up very quickly (and although you are not supposed to be able to book more than 24 hours in advance, seemed to book up earlier) so you may miss out if you arrive late, or in our case had to wait in for the gas engineer ( see review of accommodation). if you are prepared to go out of school holiday time it is probably much better.

Amazing weekend away 10/10 for overall experience only thing to pick up on is the outside condition of our log cabin was abit worn with paint flaking off but that's not a major down fall because inside was very nice! would highly recommend families, couples & friendly weekends away! big thumbs up!!!
Roger from Derby (19 October 2015)

Enjoyed would visit again
Lorna from Nottingham (19 October 2015)

Great site only issue is dogs are not allowed in the club house, we had friends who had two dogs and we could not find any pub or anywhere to sit and eat or chat without being outside, this was not not good if you let dogs on site have somewhere for them to sit and relax. Please

Stuart (12 October 2015)

The park and grounds where lovely. Helpful yet limited amount of staff.
Clare from Nottinghamshire (12 October 2015)

We thought the location was beautiful and the walks on the park and the outdoor facilities very good. we had booked the weekend predominantly for the fishing lakes but only rudd lake was considered nice to fish on, puddle lake seemed to be private access only and other lakes too weedy and not very appealing. rudd lake only had seven pegs available and after paying five pound for a permit my husband was unable to find a vacant peg, when he spoke to the reception staff they were disinterested. The standard of the caravan was disappointing. It was uncomfortable, ill equipped and the seating was dirty. The caravan was also very creaky making moving around noisy. . whilst using the upstairs bar for a meal I left a pair of expensive prescription glasses on the table, when I went back to claim them within ten minutes they weren't there, I asked the bar supervisor about them and she informed me that she had picked them up off the table and left them on the bar!! they had disappeared. Surely there should be a better lost property policy to safeguard clients goods than this.

We absolutely love tattershall lakes. The staff are always so friendly and keen to help and they went out of their way to make us feel special when they found out we had chosen to stay there while we got married. The site is always so well kept, it really is beautiful. This was our second visit and we will be back again for sure. Thank you.

Lodge was a bit tired with many things missing or broken. Site itself was very caravan holiday focused. However it was a good base for exploring the local area. The pub next to the site is well recommended.
