Lovely place to stay. Would have been nice if the heating was on low upon arrival as we arrived in very cold weather and took a long time to warm up.
Sarah from Blyth (11 December 2017)

We arrived and the boiler was broken.it was very cold. Informed receptionist and said we were going to go for a walk.she would send someone round as soon as possible. Receptionist gave us a complimentary food and drink voucher for the inconvenience. We arrived back at van and it was still cold and no one had been. . returned to receptionist who chased up engineer. He finally arrived 2 hours later.fixed the problem. It was a 2 minute job. . on our second day we went of site for the day. We returned to no power in van. We went to reception and it was mayhem. There was no power on site and all facilities closed. They issued bottles of water and a lamp to people who owned vans. They informed us that the electricity board were on site and it wouldn't be fixed until early hours of the morning. We were offered bottles of water and my husband went off site to get tea lights. We sat by candlelight with the fire on. I suggested going home but he said it was his birthday and wanted to stay. Many people packed their belongings and left. We ordered a chinese. Had to wait for 90 minutes as people were inundated as no facilities on site. The local pub was full to capacity. . went to bed early and when we woke the next day the electric was on .
Sahra from Nottingham (04 December 2017)

The caravan we stayed in was lovely, however, the 10 hour power cut on the saturday was beyond ridiculous. We lost lighting, heating and water on a very cold weekend which meant a whole day was lost. The staff were left to deal with the situation as best they could without any contingency in place to sort the issue and the holiday makers just had to put up with it!
Stuart from Welwyn Garden City (04 December 2017)

We had a weekend break in november and was surprised how much was on offer at that time of year. Our caravan had bedding and heating included in the cost which meant we felt the break was very good value for money and would like to visit again in the future.
Sandy from Sawtry (20 November 2017)

Exellent holiday caravan spotless and comfortable . amenities and the holiday park wonderful
Elizabeth from Sheffield (13 November 2017)

Reported a little problem was fixed in 30 minutes
Anthony from Ipswich (10 November 2017)

Lovely place would stay again. We went out of season so queuing wasn't too bad but heard it can be horrendous in summer. Accommodation was superb
Chris (03 November 2017)

Place is lovely, however the caravan we stayed in had rice all over one of the sofas and the grill pan in in cooker was dirty and covered in burnt on cheese. My son loved the park. At night. The first night it was lit up but after that there were no lights so we struggled to keep track of him. We asked s member of staff every night to switch them on but it never happened so i’m very disappointed about that. The outside seating areas were constantly dirty with crockery, dirty tables and cigarette butts all over the floor. Arcade change machine was constantly broken so had to get in the bar queue for change which took forever. All said I would possibly go back if these things were rectified!
Joanne from Nottingham (27 October 2017)

First time at this park really enjoyed and will visit again
Ann from Notts (27 October 2017)

Very noisy near our caravan
Jodie from Nottingham (27 October 2017)

Been here 4 times and have booked to come again next year. The kids love it, plenty of activities and safe places to play. I love the lake setting, nice walks for the dog and lodge accommodation is cosy and comfortable.
Laura from Bury St Edmunds (27 October 2017)

Very good overall, accommodation was great a really value for money .
Lloyd (20 October 2017)

Very noisy due to traffic and low flying jets. Site very big and sprawling. Clubhouse upstairs bar was good as was the surrounding area.
Barry (20 October 2017)

On arrival staff very friendly & helpful, also young lad in bar extremely helpful in setting up wifi for us. Caravan very clean & kitted out very well . we were at front of site so had road noise early morning but appreciate somebody has to be positioned there. All in all a good break & very reasonable.
Paul from Essex (20 October 2017)

Great place and surroundings. Very friendly staff, apart from swimming pool staff, not very informative re opening hours etc. Swimming pool too small for such a large camp site, but rest of facilities very good
Margaret from Wakefield (20 October 2017)

A very nice family orientated holiday location. The park was clean and the staff friendly and very helpful. The food was good albeit a little pricey as were the bar prices but the eveningentertainment was free. The only problem was the swimming pool is far too small for the size of the park. You either have to book a slot or turn up and hope you can get in and risk having very disappointed children if you can't.
Alison (20 October 2017)

Lovely setting and lots of facilites. Unfortunately right next to a very active air base so expect lots of loud planes nearby. Sadly we were located on the main access to the park so lots of vehicle noise starting at 5am.
Andrew from Great Yarmouth (20 October 2017)

Would go back again at some time in the future-probably next year
Samuel from Lincoln (16 October 2017)

Not a lot for kids
Claire from Grimsby (16 October 2017)

Went for a relaxing week with 2 teenage daughters for their october holidays. Lovely caravan. Very well equipped with lots of towels supplied and extras such as soap and shower gel. Lovely surprise on opening the fridge. There was a bottle of lovely white wine, 2 bottles of beer and a couple of fruit shoots. There was also a jar of coffee, tetley tea bags and a wee bottle of w-u liquid, dish sponge and cloth just to get us started. This was so unexpected. Our room was an en-suite with loo and sink in addition to the shower room and loo next door, another wee surprise. there was also a tv in our room. Staff were superb and very friendly. . the twin room was a little tight for space for the 2 teen girls!. we could have done with wi-fi in our caravan. Not essential but would be nice in the 21st century. We had to go to the bar to access wi-fi to get e-mails etc. Bar drinks and food are extortionate. The shop on the site is also so expensive. We self catered or went out, and used the co-op in tattershall for beers and wine. We had a couple of drinks in the bar at the pub quiz, but that was so expensive that it deterred us from going to the entertainment complex as often as we would have liked. . nominally there's a speed limit on the site but many choose to ignore this and drive like crazy beings!
Jenny from Blairgowrie (14 October 2017)

Always have a lovely caravan and the stay is peaceful
Sian from Caernarvon (13 October 2017)

Amazing place so clean and friendly caravans spotless beds made up , a bottle of wine and beers in the fridge a real bonus will be taking the family next time thank you
Jill from Wallasey (13 October 2017)

Good service, friendly staff. Clean caravan, kids enjoyed the swimming pool and facilities.
Andre from Duns (13 October 2017)

Although the holiday home was for 8 our party of 5 found the lounge area very restricting 2x2 seater settees was not big enough for 5 adults 1 had to use a dining chair to sit on so no one could relax
Pat from Barnsley (13 October 2017)

Great park, facilities great ques in bar and staff behind bar slow and frustrating
Danielle (09 October 2017)

A nice break, only gripe was that the lodge was still being cleaned after 2pm. This was a minor inconvenience, but we were more bothered that there was dust on many of the furniture items and kitchen work tops. One example being under the microwave was very dusty. As we were only there for the weekend we did not mention it to the reception staff, but cleaned the areas we were most concerned about.
Philip from Newcastle Upon Tyne (02 October 2017)

This was our third stay three years running. Absolutely love everything including the aircraft noise. . the ducks are great entertainment. . we will be booking for next year again.
Stephen from Chatteris (29 September 2017)

Excellent can not wait to return
Luan from Stoke On Trent (29 September 2017)

Nice clean and friendly place
David from Huddersfield (29 September 2017)

Had a good weekend with family . been coming here for over 20 years and have seen a lot of changes (for the better) I think the swimming pool could do with being bigger but on the whole it's a great place to stay seeing
Vinny from Newark (25 September 2017)

Good place to chill and unwind
Keith from Rushden (23 September 2017)

We had a great time there, hope to come back soon.
Murray from Nottingham (22 September 2017)

Had a lovely time and have recommended to friends
Kathleen from Leicestershire (22 September 2017)

Loved the place excellent value for the price we paid. The staff were helpful and pleasant overall ten out of ten
Sally from North Shields (22 September 2017)

Checking in was very quick and easy, directions to caravan clear and spot on, staff very pleasant and cheerful. Swimming pool was having maintenance work being carried out, this resulted in having to pre-book pool swim times, so we did not bother. . skegness & lincoln are both roughly 45 minutes from the camp, and are both worth the visit.
Anthony from Rochdale (22 September 2017)

Everything was great. Easy to find. Lots to do and see will come again
Matthew from Pickering (22 September 2017)

Had a lovely weekend
Sarah from Peterborough (18 September 2017)

Had a lovely weekend accomadation very nice and comfortable would visit again and also recommend to family and friends
Caroline from Rotherham (18 September 2017)

The down stairs bar was more like a butlins camp bar
Gordon from Rochdale (16 September 2017)

Fantastic few days reception staff nice . was up graded for my birthday . the luxury lodge a must . did not eat out but it smelled divine
Stephanie from Leicestershire (15 September 2017)

Very nice location very good atmosphere
Amanda from Lincolnshire (09 September 2017)

Superb location..
Anthony (08 September 2017)

I feel that the food in the resurants on site were over priced and a poor standard however there were places in the area that had an excellent choice and good value. All other areas were very good
Karen from Ollerton Nottinghamshire (08 September 2017)

A great place to stay, had a restful holiday. Although if you love the water sports or fishing this is the place for you. The site is pet friendly. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Susan (08 September 2017)

Tattershall lakes provided us with a lovely weekend away. Beautiful surroundings and helpful members of staff. Would without a doubt recommend this holiday park.
Angela from London (04 September 2017)

Water sports were great to do, shame it smells of cannabis in a lot of places.. entertainment and bingo was great.. pink tribute was the best
Russell from Hucknall (04 September 2017)

Not a lot to do, upstairs area in complex needs updating, arcade tiny, pool freezing, you couldn't go for a weeks holiday we started to struggle to find things to do for a weekend break
Lee from Nottingham (04 September 2017)

Definitely would stay there again. Few issues and over crowded with locals for the day coming in for free and no parking around main activity areas etc though
Hadleigh from Ramsey (01 September 2017)

The accommodation we stayed in was not very clean! not good value for money. Not much to do for the kids in the evening even the bingo is so expensive £45 for 3 people for 3 games! had to travel in the car to find things to do for the kids. Had lunch in spitfire I had to ask for the table to be cleaned before we could eat off it even the menus were dirty and covered in food. Could not get the rest needed on a holiday due to planes flying over until early hours! not what you would expect from the pictures on line!
Karen from Chesterfield (01 September 2017)

We booked a luxury caravan, which unfortunately had to be downgraded to a superior due to some idiots who had damaged the one we were supposed to stay in. I was a little nervous about this, as usually as you go down the list the quality isn't as good, however I was very pleasantly surprised. the caravan was beautiful and very clean and located at the rear of the park which meant it was also nice and quite. the park itself was well maintained with lovely surroundings. facilities were a little disappointing - not enough staff in the main bar during the day with odd queuing systems which meant that some people were left waiting for ages as other queues whipped through. the booking of activities was also a bit of a bun fight, especially swimming - you had to be at the pool at 8am to book in for the day. my husband got there at 8.15 and there were only 2 slots left. booked in for the pedalo and then when we turned up we had to wait 15 minutes because the lifeguard at the river side had slotted in some extras (not good when you have an autistic son who doesn't do waiting) - in the end my son wouldn't go on because of the wait. the real problem was the fighter planes - during the day very interesting to watch, however at 10.30pm not a joy as they constantly took off / landed / zoomed around from what sounded like in the next field (got some great pictures though) - not sure if this is all the time or if they were practicing for some sort of display or event. the park itself was in a great location to visit lincoln / skegness, and the castle down the road is well worth a visit. we didn't use the inflatables or any of the water sports due to the weather / small children but they did look like great fun.
Lynsey from East Riding Of Yorkshire (01 September 2017)

We had an amazing time, fantastically cleaned, staff couldn't do enough for us.
Clare from Warrington (01 September 2017)

Would definitely recommend, caravan is very nice and had a veranda with table and chairs which I wasn't expecting. Also was fully heated, and had a good sized fridge freezer. Arcade is fairly good.food is expensive onsite. Found a cheap chip shop 3min drive away which was lovely. Pub next door does food but didn't try this. They have a good range of water sports and activities however these are extra and fairley expensive. Castle and farm to visit down the road. There is no big supermarkets for a long way. Few small shops in conningsby
Customer 52 from Essex (01 September 2017)

We had a lovely time at tattershall but it was let down by having to book everything by the hour. We like to go on holiday and if we fancied a swim in the pool we could just go and swim where as here it was a case of having to book an hour slot.
Michelle from Great Yarmouth (01 September 2017)

Would definitely visit again. Shame the pool isn't bigger with slides etc
Leeanne from Winsford (28 August 2017)

I booked a last minute deal, so had no idea what the lodge was going to be like . when we got there, we stayed in the tribecca village in the new lodge and it was awesome . they were so good that we tried to book for 2018 but it was around £900, more expensive than centre parcs unfortunately . the lodge was perfect, the rooms were excellent, and the space saving features such as high bunk beds built in the room with hideaway chill places and flat screens were brilliant for kids . when we arrived, tea, coffee, wine and beer were waiting which really was a lovely touch. to top it off, the weather was glorious. The water parc and assault course ( next to the county park )were fantastic . even though it was bank holiday weekend, it never seemed crowded . the food and drink were very reasonable . perfect family time had my all so thank you . we would definitely go back . we used the indian takeaway one evening and the quality of the food was great . I would say you can definitely see the progress and transition of the park through the phases from when you enter and drive through the park to tribecca village .
Julie from Derby (28 August 2017)

The park is lovely, well kept and clean. The facilities are just not big enough to cope with the size of the park. The caravan was clean and well equipped. The position was not good as there was traffic non stop including lorries from 6am and the aircraft were annoying.
Susan from Kings Lynn (26 August 2017)

We stayed at tattershall with our 17 year old daughter and 6 year old granddaughter. The facilities on site were poor due to them not being big enough for the size and amount of people on the complex. The accommodation was dirty and tired, very noisy due to raf near by.
Janice from Cheltenham (25 August 2017)

Caravan was lovely and the twins always enjoy going there
John from Newark (25 August 2017)

One week of holiday entitlement used up and the expense of accommodation and spending money only to be left disappointed by an overrated park. . i’m going to review tattershall lakes in sections - accommodation and then the holiday park. I’m sure as usual customer services will come back with the standard reply of we see you stayed for your whole break and you should have contacted us with concerns. Read on! . . so on arrival all seems good, friendly staff, great check in, etc, then off you go to your caravan/lodge for the week only to find that the next caravan has parked two cars outside your front door and you have to park in the road. Ok, let’s not kick off about this, they are elderly and it could be a mistake. So unpacked and popped over to customer services and asked where my allocated parking was as there are two cars outside my front door. The polite lady said they shouldn’t be there and would send someone round to sort this out. It didn’t happen we spent all week parked on the road at the end of the caravan, wading through a water filled pot hole between us and the car that was so deep even a resident swan decided to make it a swimming puddle for a few hours. All the parking areas were full of deep holes full of water and mud. . . moving on to the caravan. It was basic, but clean and ok. (it was the cheaper end of the accommodation on offer). however, I guess maintenance is at a minimum. The cleaners had previously mentioned in the caravan log that the sink was coming away from the wall and leaking. . . caravan reasonably well equipped, small fridge but as expected. The comfort caravans are tiny 10 x 28 foot not a lot bigger that a touring caravan, making the space a tight squeeze to even get in and out of bed. Main bed comfortable enough once in, nice pillows and duvet, the kids beds are lumpy old things my 13 year old ended up with springs sticking in her if she didn’t get the sleeping position right. . . the caravan we stayed in was no. 8 sycamore, it has a leaking shower both on the inside and visible underneath the caravan when in use. I thought something was dodgy when I first stepped into a spongy shower tray, the sink leaks all over the floor, the toilet seat is half hanging off, the flush on the toilet sticks down so the water keeps flowing if you don’t make sure the button has popped back up and the toilet roll holder jumps off the wall if you touch it. . trying to do anything at night after the kids have gone to bed, like read is an impossible task as the lighting is so low wattage it makes it impossible. (i guess we were all meant to be in the club spending more money). . . chilly wet mornings are fun, you can warm the living room up by using the gas fire for about 10 minutes, any more than this and the veneer that is already peeling from previous use starts to smell like a burning sandal! once warmed up be careful when you pop outside if it’s wet, as the worn rubbery steps are like a skating rink when damp, and yes, bang, down I went coffee everywhere and a bruised leg. . the park is ok depending on what you want, certainly the photographer has done an amazing job to make it all look spread out around various lakes when in fact the whole leisure complex including the outdoor cinema, both bars, pool, man made beach, splash park, playground and arcade are all in one area on top of each other. Of course, you enter the whole complex through the arcade of various money grabbing machines turned up to full volume! . . if you’re not deaf by the time you’ve waded through the arcade then you will be once you’re in the main club area. The whole place is decked out in steel or brick, great idea to have a steel clad roof for acoustics, the sound is appalling, my kids just wanted to leave, unlike the poor child that was front of stage wearing ear defenders to have a good time at a childrens show. We didn’t need to go to the outdoor cinema, we could hear it clearly as we sat in the caravan. . the swmming pool is ok, as long as you have booked your time slot, never saw anyone using the hottub, although at £50 an hour i’m not surprised. The watersports are geared up for those from outside the park or those able to own a luxury lodge away from the main holiday park. There are many things advertised for you to do with charges applying, however, most of it is nothing to do with the holiday park and quite expensive. The childrens activities are repetitive and you can soon spend some cash keeping them occupied. . walking to and from the main complex is enjoyable as you play hopscotch through the dog excrement in the camping/park area. Or you can attempt to walk along the roads and risk being hit by one of the cars doing about 30 mph over the speed humps. . the whole site seems to be a self-governing bedlam, from 8 in the morning till 1 am (or later) of dogs tied up outside caravans barking, cars with go faster exhausts and stereos on full tilt, not taking any notice of speed restrictions, or the fact there might be kids playing near to the road. . . security is at a minimum and is mostly at the entertainment centre after 6pm where they were just checking ladies bags to see what booze is smuggled in. The only other time I was aware they were about was during our last night there. Our newly arrived neighbours were holding a party for all their friends/family who were also staying on the park, this had started at about six in the evening and by nearly one in the morning was still going strong complete with music, singing, chanting, swearing, numerous people in and out of the caravan and at one point what sounded like a game of bulldog going on (i would estimate there were at least twenty people, including children). I guess somebody got fed up and phoned the out of hours number so that shortly before one in the morning security asked them to keep the volume down or they would cut their electric. They did tone it down a bit before ramping back up for a nice rendition of yellow submarine before finally calling it a night at two o’clock. This was really nice for our 2 children who were wondering if the beered up yobs were going to burst through the tin walls of our accommodation. the drive back home the next day was great after only having 4 hours sleep! . . i’m amazed by the 5 star reviews this park has. Away resorts this could be a lovely place, but the jumble of static caravans, wood clad lodges and camping areas which are cut through by all of the traffic coming onto the site, both for the holiday park and water sports needs thinking about. You need to do a few things well, rather than trying to do so much in an inferior way. This was our first visit to lincolnshire and unfortunately I don’t think we will return anytime soon.
Rachel from Chipping Norton (19 August 2017)

Location was great, park was lovely and we had a really nice lodge. Will definitely return for another break.
Fiona from London (18 August 2017)

Overpriced. Overrated . staff were late handing keys to us. Staff were not interested with problems with caravan. Did not have a balcony which we requested. Horrible smell all week outside caravan. Planes very noisy, 09.30 -18.00 hours, were not warned of this. Movie night cancelled due to rain, were not given alternative night..only on once a week anyway. Had to book swimming, either 08.00 in the morning, or 13.00 in afternoon. What if you went out for the day, and came back late afternoon wanting a swim?????. only 2 activities a week free. Meals extortionate. Shop expensive. Would not go to this god forsaken place again, nor recommend it!!!. not happy
Duncan from Nottingham (18 August 2017)

I have had to downgrade the staff - not because they werent helpful, they were, there just werent enough of them, especially serving in the bar/ restaurant - we ate there one night and it took forever to get served, then after ordering we waited over an hour for our meal to arrive, this is not good with a small child to feed. . the food was good but we didnt bother with the restaurant again
Pam (14 August 2017)

A lovely place. Great place to stay and value for money. . would like a bigger pool and a hyper market - but these wouldn't stop me coming again!
Christopher from Hertfordshire (14 August 2017)

Such a beautiful place, with lovely people, will definitely be visiting again!
Lorraine from Mansfield,Nottingham (11 August 2017)

Our first time and we would go back buy request a different location as the main road into the park sounds like the m25 at 7.30am every morning.
Simon from Sandy (11 August 2017)

Fantastic family holiday. Great caravan. Plenty to keep kids happy.
Gaynor from Nottingham (11 August 2017)

Lovely place to stay great location & facilities, pool could do with being a bit bigger & more bar staff on in the evenings needed
Wendie from Nottingham (11 August 2017)

The place itself is beautiful. Set in a lovely site surrounded by lakes, it made for a lovely view. It's one of the biggest caravan parks i've been to so I was expecting great things. We had a 6 berth caravan which was great, clean, well equipped and plenty of space. The check in staff were great and we found our caravan quickly with the clear and precise directions. Now, as for the 'facilities' for the size of the park and the variety of guests they were abysmal. The pool was absolutely tiny and hard to get a slot for and the bar was way over priced especially for food. The park in the main complex was well equipped for older kids but had barely anything for kids under 5. There were smaller parks near the camp sites but that isn't much good when you want to sit and have a quiet drink while the kids run off some energy on an evening. The park was over run with teenage delinquents who were unsupervised and behaving terribly. Security did not give a monkies even when younger children were being hurt and 2 parents almost had an altercation over it ! the entertainment for such a large resort was pathetic to say the least, the 'play live on stage' comprised of 2 young women jumping round on the stage to shortened versions of the latest chart hits, the only other offerings were live singers and karaoke, so not great for the kids, which is probably why most of the bar was dead on an evening, there was literally bithing to do ! considering part of the cost factors in the £69 for the use of the 'facilities' I think it's a blatant rip off ! you have to pay money to go and spend money (often through the nose) for sub standard entertainment and a pool the size of a postage stamp. The highlight of a holiday for us is always the kids enjoying the on site activities and the entertainment. We will be sticking with haven from now on as we were seriously disappointed !
Anne-Marie (04 August 2017)

Absolutely brilliant. Caravan was gorgeous, staff where really helpful too.
Michala from Cleethorpes (04 August 2017)

This was our first time visiting tattershall lakes and we had the best time away. So family friendly, the staff were amazing and we cant wait to go back next year. top marks from us
Jade from Nottingham (31 July 2017)

Great caravan very clean, large amount of towels nice welcome pack, limited access to indoor pool can only have 1 hour and need to book , excessive security after 6pm if you require to visit main club amusements ,bar ect pass required, most staff very helpfull and friendly, a little disorganised needs a shake up, lots of activities for the kids but expect to pay for them.
Anthony (31 July 2017)

Went fishing for a few nights, caught so all good. Weather not great so stayed in the caravan which was nice and pleasant.
Gary (24 July 2017)

Fantastic time; colour run amazing. Pity about the weather though.
Eric from Wakefield (24 July 2017)

The park is lovely a nice place to relax ( when the planes don't fly ) it is expensive for families if they wanted to join in the extra activities.
Alexander from Leeds (22 July 2017)

Very pleasant and great facilities. Takes day or two to get used to planes from coniongsby
Brian from Stoke On Trent (21 July 2017)

Lovely location, all staff where wonderfull, apart from a jobs worth doorman/security man.
Rodney from Camberley (17 July 2017)

We had a really nice relaxing holiday, just what we needed.
Sharon from Hemel Hempstead (15 July 2017)

Enjoyed our stay which coincided with 60th anniversary of the battle of britain memorial flight at raf coningsby
Stephen from Hunstanton (14 July 2017)

Wonderful park its true what they say you get what you pay for. So much to see and do both on and off the park. Will definitely return here again. Lodge was beautiful with everything you could need on a short break.
Lorna from Dumbarton (14 July 2017)

Great weekend weather fab and to top it there was a music weekend on
John from Falkirk (10 July 2017)

Very pleasant holiday with fabulous weather
Viz from Leicester (08 July 2017)

Had a great time kids loved it, would definitely go again
Sarah from Nottingham (07 July 2017)

The lodge wasn't clean and smelt! the pub on site was expensive and not a lot to do for kids! the pool wasn't clean!
Stacey from Sutton In Ashfield (07 July 2017)

Was very disappointed with the lodge the decking was dangerous to walk on it was uneven full if green moss which made it slippy, cleaning standard inside and out was poor, not enough plates ect, plus the tv needed replacing , surrounding areas grass ect were not kept up to standard. would not stay on that site again
Stanley from Birmingham (01 July 2017)

Tattershall lakes country park has beautiful surroundings & lot's of fun activities for any age. Due to the location being next to an airfield it isn't as peaceful due to the thundering sounds of planes.
Nick from Reading (30 June 2017)

Lovely site disappointed that only one eatery place on site - and arcade quite small
Margaret from Grimsby (26 June 2017)

A little expensive but good qaulity and great facilities.
Jason from Nottingham (12 June 2017)

The park is really pretty and being surrounded by nature was great- ducks and squirrels everywhere! the park really made the most of the surroundings. The swimming pool isn't huge but for the quiet off peak time we went it was fine. It's not open as late as we liked (often closed at 4 and closed for an hour during the day) and at one point we turned up for the time it was said to be open and turned away because an activity was going on instead. Great range of activities but as a family, we would have liked to have been able to swim more. Shop was good. Playparks and splash area lovely. Entertainment good and quite varied. . the lodge we stayed in was nice and comfortable. However, the kitchen was somewhat under supplied. We were happy with self catering but hoped for knives that actually cut anything, a teatowel to actually dry anything, and more than one cloth for the week. We didn't expect much but those simple things were missed. . the rooms were a nice size, comfy beds, good tv options if wanted. Shower was broken on arrival and we had to prompt twice before it got fixed (2 days in). the water was also cold and luke warm at best. This meant the first 2 days required cold baths- yikes!when looking for the boiler in the cupboard to see if could be changed, found some used sheets balled up on the floor with excrement on. For this, we received an apology and a £30 voucher for the 4 of us in the park restaurant. This was a nice enough gesture. Restaurant was lovely with different areas. Food was really nice but £30 wouldn't cover a meal for 4. . . overall we did enjoy our stay. The lincolnshire area is nice and there are plenty of places to travel to i.e. Cleethorpes, skegness, lincoln city (castle & cathedral), local wildlife parks. You can do a lot on site weather depending. I would consider returning but I would not pay what I did and would want to be reassured the accommodation had been fully checked before hand.
Emma from Norwich (10 June 2017)

Had a few bad situations such as the caravan smelling of sewage but staff immediately re located us
Customer 89 from Grimsby (09 June 2017)

Not at all what we expected. It is advertised as something it is not and the staff (except one) showed complete disinterest. Two elderly people who wanted to spend a week sitting walking in a lake area that proved not possible because practically every inch of the shoreline is covered with properties and not a single seat to be sat on. We will not return.
Ronald from Sheffield (09 June 2017)

I really enjoyed my holiday at tattershall lakes country park. I just wanted a quiet break away and it met all my needs.
Anne (09 June 2017)

Although we had a nice time we found the lodge we stayed in very run down for the money we spent and not very clean. Storage was also an issue as the children's room had 1 tiny shelf and one bar with no hangers as the other side of cupboard was taken up with a boiler which I found odd in a child's room. The veranda and outdoor furniture needed a good clean and lick of paint. . in the clubhouse I found the staff were polite but didn't seem to know what was actually going on and the food was expensive and poor quality and I would advise you to take your own food or eat outside of the park. . the activities were enjoyable and all were run smoothly apart from the very small swimming pool which you have to que for and also limited time slots and annoyingly the pool opens late shuts early and closes for lunch unless you are prepared to pay for private hire. The swimming pool information should be available when booking as this is important when going away with children.
Kerrie (29 May 2017)

Lovely place was disappointed with the caravan we got
Sam from Mansfield (26 May 2017)

Lovely location but the lodge was quite old hot water was hit and miss stayed in a caravan the year before which the standard was much higher so we will book again but have a caravan
Viki from Cardiff (26 May 2017)

A very good break for my family. We only had one issue which was we paid for a travel cot which didn't fit in the bedrooms so we had to change to a bed guard. This was not really what we wanted as it meant we had to try and secure my grandsons bed with pillows so he didn't fall out of bed.
Carol from Barnsley (22 May 2017)

On our booking email it said time of lodge would be available from 2-30pm we were told on arrival our lodge was not available until 4pm which we were not happy about, so we went in the club house. After getting drinks sat at a table which felt sticky so we moved to another one which was also sticky. We observed at least 3 more couples complaining. The food is over priced. Our lodge was fine apart from the shower cubicle .there was no where to put shampoo etc no shower mat so when you had to reach down to get anything you slipped, so had to go out and bye a shower mat. There was also mould round the bottom of the shower
Elizabeth from Nottingham (22 May 2017)

We loved the log cabin, but the weather spoit our holiday ,think we just picked the wrong week.
Jeffrey from Ilkeston Derbyshire (20 May 2017)

It's a very good holiday park. Just annoyed that the main bedroom window was on the main road in and out of the park!! and after unpacking in our fabulous caravan, and not realizing til next morning, we weren't prepared to repack and ask if there was a quieter area. But will ask next time foraanother area when booking a
Lewis from Notts (19 May 2017)

I feel the fishing areas need done up a bit. Seems private areas get more attention. Need more attention near caravans. Ours flooded due to excessive rain. About 3inches had to jump over to get out.
Linda from Lincoln (19 May 2017)

Very good despite best efforts of british summer (heavy rain) to dampen things. used as a base to visit local area
Michael (19 May 2017)

Facilities are good both in the main leisure area and obviously the water sports facilities. however all these are at an extra cost. we stayed in a superior 2 bedroom caravan. we were told that the booking of a 'superior caravan' gave you the newest caravan and they include central heating. the heating bit was good but the caravan whilst it had plenty of room and the facilities were okay it was defiantly not anywhere near new and very tired (carpets stained, broken shower head etc.), however it was clean. overall we had a great time and if we had had a newer caravan then would a scored the overall rating better.
Chris from Scotland (15 May 2017)

Idyllic surroundings! wonderful staff! a fantastic deal for four of us, 3 nights. Less than £200!!!!! . the food in the restaurant was a little disappointing and entertainment started quite late in the evening. But, overall, a fab time was had by us all and we will be going again!!!!!
Janet from Newark (15 May 2017)

The park etc. Is great and ideal for our visit. However, the noise from the planes going over from conningsby was pretty bad.
Carol from Newtownards, Northern Ireland (13 May 2017)

A pleasant relaxing stay, staff were pleasant and helpful. On site shop was rather expensive, being the only down side.
Philip from Newcastle Upon Tyne (13 May 2017)

Nearly £5 a pint in on site bar was scandalous. And indoor pool was extremely cold yet caravan was spotless and like new, views of lakes and kids facilities were good. Would visit again.
Antony from Rotherham (08 May 2017)

Some of the staff came across a bit rude and not so helpful also the swimming stated it didn't open till 10am when arrived at 9.50am it was already full to which I was not happy about when it says 10am opening time
Amy from Grimsby (08 May 2017)

Cracking holiday. The only downfall was a fire alarm in clubhouse house. Staff didn't seem to know what to do.
Kerry (08 May 2017)

Excellent would come again.
Peter from Leicestershire (05 May 2017)

We had a wonderful holiday. Beautiful caravan park. Lots of wildlife which was amazing. So clean. Our caravan was lovely. So much to do on site. Will definitelty book again
Angela from Derby (05 May 2017)

Lovely clean and plenty to do
Lucy from Stamford (01 May 2017)

Excellent place to visit
Michael from Ipswich (01 May 2017)

The resort itself was lovely with the lakes & countryside all around. Tattershall castle was great to explore especially for the children. . we rented a static caravan which was supposed to cater for 8 (called a lodge). luckily one part of our family could not come full time as it would have been far to small to cater for all of us. It would cater well for a family of one or two set of parents & children but not three sets as we had. . the caravan itself was beautifully equipped & very clean. The main bedroom was lovely & had an en-suite bathroom & dressing room. Unfortunately the other 2 twin bedrooms were quite small. The extra 2 beds were to be from the settees in the lounge which would have been a problem for us. The description of the lodge did state this but there we though there would have been enough room in the bedrooms for camp beds but there wasn't.there wasn't enough seating for 8 & there was only 6 dining rooms chairs & the wasn't enough lounge chairs. . the facilities on site were fine & the people very helpful. The thing that let the resort down was our sunday evening. As a family we went to the social bar for food and entertainment. Firstly we were told that food could not be served at the tables we sat on even though there was no notice as such so we had to move. . we then changes tables & ordered our food at 7.00 pm. After many reminders we were served food at 9.30 pm. The baked potato for our 7 year old was still hard & our beefburgers came with only part of the additions quoted on the menu. . the manager was very good & explained that the kitchen had received well over the usual orders that night & we were given a refund of the cost of the food & vouchers for drinks etc but unfortunately it spoilt our night. . hopefully the kitchen will sort itself out before the summer crowd get there. . it would have been goon as well if there had been a folder in the unit explaining about the resort, add on costs such as iron rentals etc , and surrounding facilities.
Tricia from Jersey (01 May 2017)

This was our 4th holiday at tattershall lakes . we stayed in a little lodge 4. My husband, myself and our miniature poodle harry. On arrival we found a lovely welcome pack for harry, containing a lovely fleece blanket, chews,a great pull toy and water bottle dish, all good quality and dog safe. The lodge was first class, containing everything needed to make a good holiday.the site of the lodge was lovely, private but yet near enough to all amenities and walkways.every member of staff was friendly, helpful and professional.we would recommend tattershall lakes to anyone thinking of a holiday in a lovely country park, where your dog can be with you and be treated as a welcome guest.we have already recommended tattershall lakes to two dog owners.
Jeanne from Yaddlethorpe Lincolnshire (29 April 2017)

Nice park but fishing limited due to caravans round lakes
Ian from Bradford (29 April 2017)

The park was very easy to find and I had no problems booking in. The staff were really friendly. The caravan was of a very high quality. This is a really nice park with lots of lakes and some fine scenery. The nearby town of coningsby has pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. The park also has its own shop with all the basic necessities and was not overly expensive. I stayed off-peak so it was quiet but this is essentially a family park and I can imagine that in peak periods it would be very busy.
John from Suffolk (28 April 2017)

Great park, caravan very clean and well equipped! good bar on site which served very nice food. . good pubs within easy walking distance.
Michael from Doncaster (28 April 2017)

Very lovely place. One problem I did have is that there is not enough activities for the children to take part in unless you are wanting to spend a fortune.
Elizabeth from Nottingham (24 April 2017)

Lovely accommodation very friendly staff swimming pool small play areas excellent
Rachel from Sheffield (21 April 2017)

A resort with activities, history and scenery .enough to please everyone!
Gary from Thurnscoe (21 April 2017)

The lodge we booked had a problem with the boiler. when I reported the problem and they checked the boiler and found it could not be fixed quick they gave us a upgrade. the lodge they gave us was fantastic in every way . my grandson loved the hot tub and being next to the lake. We had a great few days.
Donald from Birmingham (14 April 2017)

Complaint re lodge is ongoing
Michelle from Bentley (14 April 2017)

Holiday was ok only thing for us coming from cumbria such a long journey . my husband enjoyed the fishing
Sandra from Brampton (14 April 2017)

My wife & I & our 2 teenage grandsons stayed here early april, for a fishing break, but never again!! the caravan we stayed in was nice & clean, the staff were very nice, a couple of thing's that went wrong were corrected within a couple of hours, but you are continuously deafened by the ear shattering noise of the jets taking off and flying around all day long, as you are situated right at the end of the runway so they are taking off at full throttle, when I say ear shattering I mean it, it was absolutely horrendous, as for the fishing there were 7 other anglers fishing the lake and the only fish caught by a total of 11 of us, was a couple of small roach, no carp or any sign of a carp, we fished for 2 days a total of 22 hours each for nothing, there is a small tackle shop on the site by the lake. On the 3rd day we went to a fishery just up the road, and who was fishing there? but the man from the tattershal tackle shop, so that must surely tell you something.
David from Norwich (07 April 2017)

We enjoyed our holiday but due to the caravan being very close to the main road our sleep was disturbed by the traffic especially at night.
Kusam (01 April 2017)

Cant wait to come back
Alan from Downham Market (31 March 2017)

Everything was due to start the day we left.. staff were training, nothing much on, no one seemed bothered, felt invisible other than a lovely lady in the shop.. impressed by the welcome pack and caravan was lovely but the staff were awful.. I assume you flick a switch when you 'open' and they all smile and speak..?
Hayley from Hull (31 March 2017)

Enjoyed a relaxing break at this lovely country park. The lodge was warm and cosy in early spring time.
Customer 127 from North Lincolnshire (31 March 2017)

Most things not open and very noisy
Jonathon from Bristol (31 March 2017)

Great holiday caravan spotless and excellent condition ,been several times and would always go back at the drop of a hat only downside was email said caravan available from 4pm on arrival found out we could have had it from 2.30 .on 4pm start you loose the full day earlier start would be much better thanks
Denise from Sheffield (31 March 2017)

Stayed in log cabin with our dog, excellent accommodation very nice holiday centre lots of nice walks
Stephen from Thrapston Kettering (24 March 2017)

We love this place and if a lottery win should come our way we would definitely buy a cabin. It's calming, even with the jets flying about. The surrounding villages are lovely and everyone we met were nice. The campsite is lovely and clean. We stayed in a lil' lodge with our two dogs and it was perfect. The weather helped even though it was october. We booked for next year before we left and next year we are doing 7 days instead of 4.
Melanie from Ipswich (07 October 2016)

Lovely place. Great surroundings . basic caravan. On site restaurant very basic. Amenities brilliant. definitely would return. Log cabin next time.
Susan from Mansfield (30 September 2016)

We came here 2years ago and returned this year as we liked this park very much. Clean site and very pretty.
Beryl from Wakefield. West York'S. (30 September 2016)

The site is beautifully set out most of the accomadation is set around the lakes, which hold the water sports, fishing and more, but most of all it was relaxing and well worth the money.
Andrew from Nottingham (26 September 2016)

Had a great time, will try a lodge next time
Wendy from Newark Notts (26 September 2016)

Beautiful place, lovely new caravan this place is very good for children and young people and adults. only down side is that the facility's is too small for the park. There always seems to be a wait on food and sometimes the items did not come out together. E. G waiting 15 minutes for chips to come out with mains. Or 45 minutes wait for a plate of nachos and side of onion rings. the entertainment is brilliant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone.
Elena from Mansfield (26 September 2016)

Fantastic. Best holiday we have had for years.
Susan from Wigan (23 September 2016)

The site and homes all appeared clean, tidy and well kept. Our l'il lodge was very nice. Wifi very patchy in woodland way. Lovely setting, lots of nice walks from site, including off road walk to village which has quite a big co-op with a good range, approx 15-20 mins. the only downside was the noise. They do warn that it's near to an airfield, but that didn't prepare me for the very loud, and the even louder jets, that you here everyday. Mon, tues &wed, this went on until around 10:30 pm, drowning out the tv, and the ground and lodge vibrates. We don't use the facilities, but they all seemed very busy.
Lesley from Teignmouth (17 September 2016)

Excellent from start to finish! some staff training needed urgently in the restaurant but apart from some staff attitudes we had a fab time and are looking forward to returning next year!!
Alison (16 September 2016)

Good value for the money
John from Scarning Norfolk (16 September 2016)

We had a wonderful stay, it rained on the saturday but still loads to do for the kids. Entertainment staff were fantastic making a great atmosphere. Unfortunately the food onsite was appalling, took ages to come out and was either burnt or under cooked. We ate 3 times so it wasn't a one off.
Lyndsey from Doncaster (12 September 2016)

This was our third holiday at tattershall lakes. . my husband, myself and harry our black miniature poodle. On arrival we were delighted to find a "goodie box" for harry. It included a lovely fleece blanket, drinking dish and water bottle, a packet of dental chews and a lovely 3-in-1 pull toy. The main reason we first went to tattershall was because a friend had recommended it, saying dogs were made welcome there. This decided us and harry was made most welcome and we could take him around the park for lovely walks and we enjoyed a drink or a meal with him with us, other guests on the park were friendly and all in all there was a happy, friendly, relaxing holiday feeling everywhere. Already we are looking forward to a return visit. The shop seemed like a safety blanket because I did not have to worry if I had forgotten anything from home and it was nice to have a browse for little gifts to take home.
Jeanne from Yaddlethorpe (12 September 2016)

Brilliant holiday went as a party of 16 great base would recommend to all
Christina from Nottingham (12 September 2016)

Had an absolutely amazing stay at tattershall country lakes, I never even knew such a place filled with so many things to do existed in the u.k. I have travelled the high low and middle of the uk and this is definitely one of the if not the best places i've stayed. I will deffinitely be returning so much more fun to have on my returns. Regards. Rebecca poole
Rebecca from Wakefield (09 September 2016)

Great week away, good value for money and loved the splash pad.
James from Leicester (09 September 2016)

Had a good time but I wish that they would look at the weather. on a hot day they never opened the door on to the veranda in the spitfire bar upstairs. the reception staff bent over backward to help us thank you ladies
Doreen from Bristol (09 September 2016)

Very pleased with everything, except the fact that the swimming pool opening times were not very good, they were open between 10am & 1pm, then 2pm & 4pm, which meant that as we were out & about during the day we only once managed to use the pool, if it was open until 6pm this would give a lot more people time to enjoy its use. Also I couldn't get wifi connection, even the girls on reception couldn't connect me, so perhaps this could be sorted out.
Brenda from Bracknell (09 September 2016)

Me age 25 my partner aged 23 and our 7 month old staffy spent 7 nights at tattershall we had an absolutely fantastic time (we are booking again for next year with my cousin 2 children and my dad) once they heard and saw pictures they where as eager to go as we were to go back again we stayed in lil lodge 4 dog friendly it was beautiful only reason for 9 rating on facilities was due to mold on the shower silicone.. not a lot just a little would only need to be re siliconed and also the shower door was broken but we went during the 6 weeks holidays so I should imagine they were fully booked and had little time to correct this it didn't affect our holiday in anyway and the shower wasn't as bad as maybe it sounds.. its a very large park and not everything can be perfect I for one appreciate that. Due to it being a very large park I was shocked to see so many staff around there is always someone close by should you need help. I had read a review before I went saying how rude the staff were so I was apprehensive but it turned out I needn't have worried everyone was so lovely the activities are very much aimed at children which I suppose is understandable we booked target cross bow axe throwing and zorbing before we went but once there when we saw how it was aimed at children we expressed to staff that we no longer wanted to do it and they sorted us straight out with a refund which I consider to be kind since there was no other reason for us to not do it other then not wanting to.. we did not eat at the park but went to the pub just on the outskirts what fabulous value and quality we sat in the beer garden to eat as we had our dog the staff were very friendly and brought a water bucket out with our food for our pooch.. so thoughtful we did a lot of fishing as for the reviews saying their is no fish in the lakes that's nonsense me and my partner love fishing and we both caught (well I lost mine but that was my own fault) my partners highest weight was 8lb and he lost around 6 or 7 we caught carp only but to be honest that's all we were fishing for it was a very dark common and they are tricky to catch its not like going to a fishery you have to listen to locals about bait and depths and be prepared for a good fight out of the weeds.. but it is possible so don't loose hope we even had a maggot race in the tackle shop with the staff that was a giggle they are amazing people.. let me address the planes as that was another thing I was concerned about due to my dog.. they are not as bad as people make out we hardly noticed them and that's the truth only on one day when we were fishing right at the back of the ski lake (there's a lake just behind the ski lake for fishing) did they become annoying but that was only for around an hour and half which I don't feel like is worth moaning about we did go the castle but didn't go in as dogs are not aloud which is understandable I appreciate not everyone likes dogs and the grounds need to be kept clean was just abit confused as she was aloud in the church? we did water sports such as wake-boarding (a lot harder then it looks haha) and jet-skiing amazing experiences at night the park goes very quiet which was lovely as we decided to stay in and enjoy our time together so it was fabulous to not here party's all night through the days you just mainly here children playing and enjoying them selves.. overall I cannot fault the park at all I may have woffled a bit but just trying to give our experience as a young couple. If you enjoy scenery water sports and relaxing this holiday is a must.. great for families to I would say its great for everyone but then I have fell in love with the place.. cannot wait to return.
Jamie from Birmingham (03 September 2016)

Excellent all round for all of us.
Hannah (03 September 2016)

Really good holiday, caravan was long way from club house though so bit of a walk for our 4 yr old grandson. Staff were sretched as not enough of them but all polite & helpful. Site was good & will definately go again.
Glen from Milton Keynes (03 September 2016)
