Caravan was clean and warm. Only criticism was lack of pathway to caravan. Because of the rain, the last bit was very wet and muddy .
Pete from Essex (13 November 2017)

Great site. Slightly more sedate than most but that suited us. Good swimming pool though. Great location to relax, see the local sights (of which there are many) or explore the south east of kent and canterbury.
William (27 October 2017)

Great location, bungalow was well equipped, quiet, lovely surroundings & would stay again
Claire from Chelmsford (20 October 2017)

Ad from Klaaswaal (14 October 2017)

Complete nightmare
Timothy from East Anglia (13 September 2017)

Caravan good and clean. Only problem is hearing every little noise especially from next door where little children running up and down.
Veronica (09 September 2017)

Chalet very good value for money
Reginald from Boston (08 September 2017)

Stayed in a wide caravan earlier this year and it was brilliant. This time in a bungalow and it was more than disappointing. No proper path to the bungalow so our shoes and luggage got muddy. Loose paving outside the bungalow. View from the bungalow was a no something sign (?? no ball games) and the back of some other bungalows. Stale smell when we went in. Lights not working properly. Cooker hood not working. Cooker top not working. Tiny bedrooms with one bedside cabinet for three beds. Poor water pressure. Regular noise outside from ride on grass cutters, staff runabouts, and on one day a contractor fitting double glazing on the bungalow next to us. No wifi unless you wanted to pay an extortionate fee to bt. No mobile phone signal on three network. Intermittent signal on virgin. What a shame for such a great location
Dave from Leeds (08 September 2017)

Lovely quiet holiday park, very clean and tidy. The restaurant and bar were small and when we arrived on the saturday there were big groups which meant we felt like we were intruding on a private party. This improved once the weekend was over. The only disappointment was that we were looking forward to the health spa and treatments but the person was away.
Catherine from Greenford (02 September 2017)

We love st margaret's and surrounding areas. The caravan was ok. An older model so a bit tired. Biggest problems oven doesn't work properly and the shower temperature gauge is jammed. We informed the park reception and they were very helpful and said they would send maintenance out to look at the issues. They left a calling card informing us the problems were fixed -they were not. Gave up using the oven and managed to turn temperature of shower down at the actual boiler. We had a great time here but not overly impressed with our caravan or the 'help' we received. The oven/shower need replacing.
Vicky from Twickenham (28 August 2017)

A great base for exploring that area of kent. . . the camp could do with a bit modernisation - entertainments complex looked a bit tired. Becky and becky were great though. . . we got used to our bungalow. I know we didn't pay a lot but bedroom storage for clothes was poor - no shelves or coat hangers in the wardrobes, which were also full of old bits of carpet and bathroom tiles.
Michael from Whitley Bay, Tyne &Amp; Wear (28 August 2017)

We had a great holiday and would definitely recommend this park.
Sara from Ruislip (28 August 2017)

We had a lovely time would love to go again
Michael from Lincoln (28 August 2017)

Enjoyed the location with great walks along the cliffs
Martin from Bromley (25 August 2017)

Spent two fantastic weeks here. the park is a well kept quiet park with good transport links . buses are hourly so best option is having a car . we spent the majority of the time on site using the pool and attending the activities for children. becky and bekki who run the activities are fantastic and engage the children really well . . . this was our second time staying here and fully intend to return . a lovely place !
Customer 15 (21 August 2017)

We went with the secret intention of buying our new home but ever so quickly decided a big no
Graham (21 August 2017)

Great holiday, second year at the same location. there were a couple of repairs/issues that needed fixing in our bungalow when we arrived but as soon as we highlighted them to reception they were fixed as quickly as possible. these were mainly cosmetic issues rather than major ones.
Roger (19 August 2017)

Fantastic stay. Bit pricey for the caravan and it was old. But it was august I suppose. Staff exceptional, so friendly. Private caravans a bit noisey but otherwise facilities great, locals great and we all had a fabulous week break. So convenient for the castle!!
Anne from Isle Of Wight (19 August 2017)

Only complaint was not being notified when a booked activity was cancelled, it was booked for 2pm . if we had been notified we would have gone out for the day . as it was after some discussion the problem was solved eventually. Other than that we were very happy with everything.
Janine from Maidstone (18 August 2017)

We enjoyed our stay. Staff excellent, pool great, bungalow well equipped. only issue I had was the bed was very uncomfortable - needs replacing!
Sarah from Greenwich (12 August 2017)

We had problems with the fridge and they sorted it out the day after. . showers in the swimming pool cold for two days.
Michael from Hockering (07 August 2017)

Nice peaceful location well equipped spacious. Bunglow had a lovely long weekend stay.
David from Orpington Kent (07 August 2017)

Had a lovely week with the kids here
Elaine from Andover (04 August 2017)

The static caravan was of a nice design (spacious and wide) which accommodated my family very well. it was also nice and clean. the swimming pool was of a decent standard and size. unfortunately I didn't really find the site itself very appealing. in places it looked rather run down and tired (especially the games room/pool areas) and having a hotel on site and lots of brick 'houses' made it look like sheltered housing.
Stuart from Bolton (29 July 2017)

Very nice quiet weekend / staff very helpful and pleasant / recommended
Patricia from Crawley (24 July 2017)

The location of our caravan (131) adjoining a parking area and the road was not ideal very noisy from cars and vans coming and going all hours of the day and night. Parking limited and chock a block by 6 pm . restaurant so expensive ( almost £10 for a burger) went to the pub up the road much more reasonable and the view is spectacular. Caravan was clean and tidy, did not know people still used spring mattresses anyway really uncomfortable.
Gloria from Restaurant So Expensive ( Almost £10 For A Burger) (14 July 2017)

Bedrooms very poor, inadequate space, no bedside tables with lamps, and wardrobe was basically a small space with a piece of fabric across it!. . beds not made up on arrival. Asked for linen, which was brought but left with us in a pack on the floor for me to make the beds!!!! matresses looked worse for wear. . lounge curtains were basically minimum amount of fabric that stretched across the window without any gathers. Room very tired and not very inviting. . site is very attractive but disappointing when you get inside the northborough. . no wi fi!!
Jan from Calne (10 July 2017)

We were using as a base to see family and friends, and know the area well. super site for people holidaying away, plenty to do and see nearby. . the caravan was a bit basic. the twin bedrooms were very small and as we were there during the hottest week of the year so far if we had been a larger party it would have been pretty unbearable. . however, we were allowed to bring both our dog and cat with us, so a fairly forward thinking company!
Pauline from Holywell (23 June 2017)

The mobile home was excellent - very clean and tidy. The smaller beds are a bit narrow, but that's obviously to do with the size of the home. The park itself was well maintained and pleasant, the bar/restaurant were good value and we thought the entertainment, for a smaller park, was actually very good - we particularly enjoyed the music bingo. The swimming pools were a good size and never too busy, and the sauna etc was nice. The only downside was that the park shop was very small and basic. On these holidays, we do enjoy (as at other parks) getting up and walking down to get fresh bread and pastries, but this shop had no such facility. However, I would recommend this park, not only because it was very nice but also because it's close to a lot of attractions and some beaches.
Stephen from Northampton (02 June 2017)

Lovely place for a short break but caravan was dirty despite us booking a high standard. Sheets had holes in them
Steph from Kent (08 May 2017)

It was fine for what I needed close to nice walks and places to visit. It would have been nice to have a bath but can'take have everything. Would recommend.
Carmen from Surrey'S (28 April 2017)

Have stayedbefore very pleasant park with lovely surroundings.
Shirley from Surrey (28 April 2017)

Nice location but let down by accommodation. Condition of caravan and facilities below expectation for price charged. Not even close to the quality of hawk church site. . caravan was very cold at night. Boiler repeatedly failed to start leaving us without hot water or heating. Called maintenance twice. Problem seems to be low water pressure unable to cope with peak demand. . bed was really uncomfortable, needing a new mattress. Had to put black sacks over the windows to keep light out. Curtains useless.
Jonathan from St Albans (17 April 2017)

Was disappointed with the entertainment as it seemed totally focused on children even at 9.30pm! we thought that after 9pm we could enjoy adult entertainment. The diet coke was flat at the bars on my mon-fri stay and I noticed other people returning their drinks . we was going to the gym but saw we would have to pay £10 for the two of us and for a short stay was not worth it. Nice bungalow.
Linda (14 April 2017)

The location is fantastic . park is small but beautifully kept . the clubhouse was spotless and smelt fresh even at the end of the night . troupers are great - run the clubs even if only one child shows up . quiet park - great for a relaxing break . accommodation lovely !
Fiona (14 April 2017)

Staff were friendly welcoming . when the light bulb didn't work in the seating area they were quick to replace it.
Elizabeth from County Of Wirral (07 April 2017)

Lovely weekend break, lovely caravan, great location and a nice weekend had! thanks!
Mark from Rye (26 September 2016)

This was our third visit, park could do with a spruce up perhaps a bit of colour eg flowers, planters,a few hanging baskets.shop had moved with very little stock, still enjoyed our holiday caravan was first class .
Susan from Beccles (24 September 2016)

Enjoyed stay very much .
Penelope from Worthing (16 September 2016)

We booked in july for a week in september the only suitable accommodation for us was a bungalow which we have stayed in quite a few years ago. I was very disappointed with the accommodation it was very basic and needed upgrading, no wardrobe doors just a flimsy curtain. The park itself is clean and well set out and a bonus for us is the use of the leisure .
Virginia from Burnley (10 September 2016)

Overall holiday was very good. On arrival the club entertainment room didn't look the best but was pleasantly surprised at the entertainment an staff were great with the children's entertainment. The price of drinks was a bit expensive. The caravan was absolutely stunning f9r what we paid and the location was ideal. St margarets bay is plenty of fun late afternoon for crab fishing kids loved it, margate, has a lovely sandy beach so if you don't mind the 40 minute drive it's a great day out. If you want to splash out for a meal out on your last night or even all week the coastguard at st margarets bay was excellent. Food portions were brilliant an taste was lovely well worth the £7-10 per main meal plus kids eat half price. The pines gardens is also a lovely place to visit about 5 min drive from the holiday park. we had a great holiday once we had found everything :)
Marie from Worcestershire (02 September 2016)

Spent a lovely week with my granddaughter and her friend (both 14 yrs old). the only fault would be not enough entertainment for that age group. . jacussi was not working. The play area catered for small children only. A tennis court or some other activity for older children would have been ideal.
Maureen from Canterbury (02 September 2016)

Very good value for money
Joan (29 August 2016)

St margaret's bay is a lovely site but our accomodation was very dated. the silver bungalow we were in had a torn nets curtain and was quite shabby. a green net instead of wardrobe doors was awful. definitely not value for money.
Myra from Luton (15 August 2016)

The site is very well maintained & clean throughout, caravan was spotless. All members of staff were happy to help. We enjoyed the pool and entertainment & look forward to returning again next year.
Brenda from London (13 August 2016)

Brilliant accommodation - very clean. Facilities ie swimming pool, bar and evening activities excellent. Surrounding areas and information on area informative and beautiful. Staff extremely helpful. Only let down was the high cost of the restaurant and bar. However overall experience of our stay was very positive, enjoyable and would book again.
Katie from Swindon (13 August 2016)

2 words to sum our holiday:. very disappointing.
Customer 47 (12 August 2016)

Fantastic place to stay. Onsite amenities were good and everywhere was clean. The staff we had dealings with were super and helpful. All problems were dealt with fairly promptly with no fuss. Plenty of places to visit and several lovely walks.
Wendy from Norwich (05 August 2016)

Awful
Victoria (05 August 2016)

Our bungalow was perfect for our needs. Park well maintained. 80% of staff helpful & welcoming, a few were more interested in their phones than their customers. Half of the arcade games not working, children were disappointed. Evening entertainment could be updated, seemed unpopular. Outdoor cinema fabulous idea! pool facilities great, unexpected. Shop sufficient for essentials. Location was a perfect base for day trips. Will return to st margaret's bay.
Katie from Dartford (29 July 2016)

We had a lovely time at st margaret's bay. The caravan was clean and had all the facilities we needed, although the beds were rather narrow. The site itself was good, we enjoyed using the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi and had a great day on the beach at st margaret's bay itself. . . our only slight negative was that we used the onsite bar/restaurant one night and it seemed that it was very under-staffed - our meals all came out staggered over an hour which wasn't great for a group of six who wanted to eat together. However, the following day we ate at the smugglers inn in the village and the food and service there was exemplary - we would definitely recommend. . . overall, we had a fab weekend away and the caravan was extremely good value for money and we would return again.
Lucy (25 July 2016)

Overall we were impressed the only complaint was that the shop was poorly stocked.
Kathleen from Chippenham (09 July 2016)

The accommodation was lovely but entertainment at night was not very good no shows
Janet from Leicestershire (03 June 2016)

One of the best hols in the uk, great staff, great food only one downside was the arcade not working for the kids
Shelley from Watford (30 May 2016)

The reason I say I would not stay here again is that I am 6' 4" tall and built like the proverbial 'brick out house'!!! . that does not reflect the premises which were spot on in every respect from reception to the bars and restaurant. . the premises is ideally located for some off site visits to historic or beauty sites. . but at my size I had difficulty in the 'mobile home' with the size of the bedroom and the passageway to and from the main lounge, which was amply spacious!. the only observation of one who normally books cottages or houses was the very limited stock of utensils and tea towels - these are essential for such a stay and would not expect to supply the same - that said a rental cottage or house would have been more expensive so does the variance in cost truly reflect a criticism of the inventory?? happily there is a major tesco store nearby (approx. 5 miles). they did run a fun function while we were there and that was a great hit with the godchildren!!
David from Baldock (30 May 2016)

Fantastic children's entertainment, great gym, local to varity of locations. . only thing is would do is update swimming area/pool and games room.
Kayleigh from Newcastle (23 May 2016)

Our party included two couples, ourselves and my son and his wife with them leaving after 3 nights. . after our son and party left we transferred to the double bedroom. Both couples suffered substantial insect bites and the only common factor was the double room in the caravan. . that discomfort from the bites totally put me off future caravan holidays.
Brian from Bare, Morecambe (21 May 2016)

We were very impressed with the bungalows home from home. And will certainly be visiting there again.
Eileen from Welwyn Garden City (20 May 2016)

It was so quiet even a pin dropping would have been loud!. . lovely and relaxing. Very helpful and friendly staff. . we will be returning
Robert from Portsmouth (13 May 2016)

Never stayed anywhere where you had to supply your own rubbish bags, mowing grass after a week of rain thus making everywhere a mud slide, catering for people in wheelchairs around the park not good, the caravan was alright, staff more interested in helping people in the facilities than on the park, maybe better in season but don't know considering staying again in a chalet might be more wheelchair friendly.
John (30 April 2016)

Lovely accommodation and helpful staff when anything goes wrong
Adrian from Manchester (29 April 2016)

The caravan was lovely abs we found that the facilities were very good.
Sarah from Peterborough (23 April 2016)

Family friendly site, good location for visiting dover castle, the light house and coastal walks.
Gillian from Surrey (04 April 2016)

We had a most enjoyable short break at st margarets bay.
Anne from Chandler'S Ford, Eastleigh (04 April 2016)

Place was a mudbath due to no paths between caravans and grass being churned up by service vehicles and boots, shoes etc. Received three different stories as to why no footpaths not even gravel ones. Main swimming pool unheated and about a third of the machines not working in the games area.

Great holiday!
Angelo from Rossendale (31 October 2015)

Bungalow was great, staff helpful but some of the facilities were below standard. I exclude the swimming pool from this criticism as it was excellent. The problem was the evening entertainment and the games room. The former died out after the kid's games were over and some of the machines in the games area were out of order. All in all though we had a good time.

The holiday was good, meals were some night really good other nights really bad, the 1st night I had lasagane and chips, the chips looked as if there had been sitting there for ages. What was really nice was that the holiday camp had a phone for taxi as I had problems getting them when ringing of my mobile.
Philip from Gillingham (09 October 2015)

We had a great stay and it's a great base for seeing other areas nearby. The club house was a good size for the age of children we had with us and bekki and nikk were fantastic :-d

Can't argue that it was value for money (at the reduced rate). but the down side is that there is no parking, the caravans are arranged in straight lines (feels like a military camp), the shop is rubbish. our particular caravan was minimally kitted out, we had to buy our own cleaning stuff and fry pan. however, as an older couple, I realise the site is not designed for us (i.e. We didn't use the pool, spa or gym). we spent very little time there so the amenities didn't really effect our holiday. if we went back to that area I would look around to stay elsewhere, it wasn't terrible just could-be-better.
Bruce (29 August 2015)

Lovely location. Actually a very quiet site even with a fair number of well-behaved children. One of park resorts 'upmarket' sites obviously. Large swimming pool with part roped off for lane swimming. Not very busy most of the time so I had a really good swim. Other swimming activites for children were good as well. I enjoyed walking to the local lighthouse and cliff walk every morning before breakfast (between an hour and 90 minutes. Excellent area for bird life. Very convenient for dover, deal and walmer castle.

The park is located in a nice area with plenty to see and do nearby. The large indoor pool is great. The only issue was the kids play area it needed more equipment. Kids were not impressed with just two slides to play on! the kids however did really enjoy the madness and mayhem kids club in the evenings.

A bit too far from the beach otherwise a nice spot.
Robert from Capel St Mary Suffolk (17 August 2015)

The park is great. The location was perfect for us, cause we came over seas. Very friendly and helpfull staff members. And I have to say, the people in st margarets bay and surroundings are very very friendly. Or perhaps that counts towards all brithish people, but we were only is such a small place of the country. Loved our stay.
Roderick from Leiderdorp, The Netherlands (17 August 2015)

Had a meal a couple of times the salad was off, discoloured, dried out and definately not fresh. . very quiet at st margarets really nice for a relaxing break.

We enjoyed the holiday very much and found it very relaxing with less busyness than we have experienced in other sites, although I am not sure if it was full. The entertainment was a little restricted for august (only two cabarets, one on friday and the other on saturday), but that was supplemented by the two entertainment staff, nicky and becky, who were excellent with both children and adults.
John from Marlborough, Wiltshire (08 August 2015)

Good location, but seemed a quiet park, pool facilities were excellent, nice temperature of pools, unusual to have such a deep toddler pool, jacuzzi great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not much evening entertainment.. mainly centred for the children. Would've liked to have seen the team singing/dancing/comedy/magic etc. Great to have met nigel pivaro from coronation street. Also thought bingo would've been in house only as much less chance of winning!

We had a great holiday. staff were all helpful, park was tidy and caravan really clean. we hope to be back next year. . from all the creepy crawleys
Catherine from Creepy Crawley (31 July 2015)

I have an autistic son, and this place was perfect for us, not to big, not over crowded, great swimming facilities, music was a decent level in the club house, all the staff were friendly and polite. To make it even better for my son, would be to have a swing in the children's play area. We will definitely be booking again, and I have recommended st margarets bay to my friends
Rebecca from London (31 July 2015)

Needs a licking of paint , staff surly
Mike from St Helens (31 July 2015)

It would have been nice to be able to use the pool for longer in the evenings, not much for a young teenager to do. beautiful gardens and surrounding area, peaceful setting

The lack of entertainment and lack of information regarding the almost non existent entertainment was very disappointing.
Elizabeth from Eastbourne (13 July 2015)

Nice clean camp and not overridden with noise etc. bit out of the way but there are places to get to within fairly easy reach.
