Nice location and views but the lodge was dated, dark and dirty. Would not want to stay there again.
Geoff from Ramsgate (17 September 2016)

Excellent , great value
Susan from London (29 August 2016)

Really lovely clean lodges. Peaceful location. Plenty of space for children to play. Ideal family holiday. Loved it and will definitely be back.
Nicola from Kent (22 August 2016)

Great base for our holiday..lovely host... accommodation reasonable.
Steve from Hull (13 August 2016)

Perfect
Chris from Liverpool (23 July 2016)

Excellent location and very peacful, ideal location to get away from it all

A lovely place if all you want is peace and quiet. The owners were lovely and very helpful.
Gordon from Uxbridge (10 June 2016)

Lovely setting, very peaceful
George from Bristol (30 May 2016)

Beautiful, peaceful location. The lodge was very clean and perfect size for a family of four. Lots to do near by to keep the kids amused for a week!
Sharon (09 April 2016)

We had a lovely stay at spindle wood lodge. It has everything you could possibly need. Perfect for some well needed peace and quiet. We will definitely return.
Stephanie from London (04 April 2016)

Lovely place for travelling around cheddar and wells and mendip hills. If only the weather was good for us. The lodge was very comfortable and peaceful. Remember to keep £1 coins for electricity meter, especially if you need extra heating, otherwise approx £1 per day.
Atul from Coventry (28 March 2016)

Beautiful location and tranquil surroundings set in the beautiful somerset countryside. Intentionally light on facilities, this break proved to be just the idyllic break our young family needed. Our children, all under 7, could run around in complete safety as we watched on from the veranda. The pine style cabins were delightful too. We'll definitely be back!
Adrian from Christchurch, Dorset (28 March 2016)

Unbelievably peaceful..
Roy from Haxby (14 March 2016)

Spindlewood lodges is great for a holiday base for families but also as in my case work colleagues. Its set in lovely countryside and the views are brilliant. The lodge inside is warm and everything you need. You do have to pay for electric via a coin metre but this is fine as £1 a day is enough for what I use
Steven from Daventry (11 March 2016)

The lodge is set in a great location and is very quiet and peaceful . it is well equipped with everything you need.
Jackie from Manchester (03 January 2016)

I was told this was wheelchair accessible it is definitely not. F I had been completely unable to walk we would have had to turn round and go home
Kevin (16 November 2015)

Lovely peaceful location for exploring this part of somerset.
Joe from Derby (18 September 2015)

The surroundings are fantastic if you like privacy and quiet. The lodges are basic but roomy in the lounge. We would go back and book again. Fair value for money and the staff did check that we were happy. The lighting at night was not great if you want to read. There is a nice veranda to sit outside. The fridge is tiny and the electric is metered not that that was a problem. There are no towels provided. Ok
David from Nuneaton (11 September 2015)

Lovely lodge with everything that you need during your stay. views are fabulous with great outdoor space for the kids to run around on. I loved the way the trees and shrubs were planted to give you privacy whilst enjoying the outdoor space.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (31 August 2015)

Fantastic stay here. It was very beautiful and quiet.
Lisa from Truro (28 August 2015)

Nice and relaxing place to enjoy the time away. The accommodation is very comfortable and suitable even for miserable weather.
John from Fareham (24 August 2015)

The lodges are set in the beautiful countryside of somerset. The location is very quiet and peaceful.
David (01 August 2015)

Great place, very close to many interesting sites to visit.
Luca from Falkirk (25 July 2015)

A lovely place to have a holiday. The lodge was spacious and very well equipped. There are lots of places to visit, in the area. I will definitely be returning.
June from Yarm (24 July 2015)

Very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Beautiful area and yet near amenities. Weather was wonderful for 99.9% of the time and that helped!
Ann from Irvine (13 June 2015)

Quiet, relaxing and peaceful, brilliant views and wildlife. access at entrance has potholes and needs attention. plenty of places to visit within easy reach - towns, gardens, historic houses etc.
Lisa from South West (06 June 2015)

Absolutely lovely place to stay with children as they have so much freedom to go off and explore independently. Great location for attractions such as cheddar gorge, wells, wookey hole, glastonbury. The children want to gi again so must be a hit!!
Graham (30 May 2015)

We had a lovely relaxing time, the lodges were in a beautiful location with lots of attractions to see locally. the children loved playing in the huge field where the lodges are located.
Jeanette from Brighton (29 May 2015)

Great lodges would stay again
Sharon from Kidderminster (06 April 2015)

Lovely lodge in a small (only 7 lodges) development equidistant from shepton mallet, glastonbury and wells. very quiet and private - each lodge screened from its neighbours by line of silver birch trees and hedging. . . nearest shops 3-4 miles away but well served in these small towns. . owner very friendly. . each lodge has veranda and picnic table that would be lovely in the summer. Alas over a cooler dampish easter didn't get a chance to put to full use.
Geyang from London (04 April 2015)

Bit remote but fine for us. Well placed for cheddar, wells, glastonbury etc.
Barrie from Bedfordshire (25 October 2014)

Perfection!! wildlife, you have to be there to believe, deer at first light, owls and bats at dusk. lodges very comfortable, everything you need, clean and comfortable. will certainly go again!!!
Bernard (10 October 2014)

Lovely location, good wildlife, completely disconnected from reality a true getaway
Angela from Redditch (15 September 2014)

Lovely restful place to stay, no interruptions, lovely views and we were very lucky we had lovely weather too.
Lin from Plymouth (12 September 2014)

Lovely peaceful location..nothing but nature around you. Seven lodges but all positioned to provide privacy. owners very friendly.
Diane from Cambs (01 September 2014)

Great location, wonderful for children and very peaceful
Russell from Maidstone (30 August 2014)

Very peaceful and tucked away. clean, comfortable and well equipped.
Nicola from Oxford (29 August 2014)

What a gem of a place. Peace and quite, where you get the lovely somerset countryside on your doorstep. Glastonbury is a stones throw away as are many other attractions. There is no club house (suited us) and the lodges are large enough with all the bits and pieces that you could want in a self catering holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here.
Robert from Accrington (23 August 2014)

The lodges are situated in beautiful countryside. The site was ideal for a quiet, relaxing holiday, yet we were quite close to the beautiful city of wells. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the site, and felt that it was a very safe environment for children.
David from Liskeard (22 August 2014)

On arrival key was just left for us in door, no one came to greet us for 2 days. . on departure went to give keys back but no one answered the door to us so just posted them through their letter box - so no goodbye either!
Karen from Ashford (26 July 2014)

This was our most expensive lodge we used during our 3-week holiday. It was great, lots of space, but came at a price. We saw the staff 10 min at start and 1 minute when we left - whether that is good or not depends on your own opinion.
Vincent from Lelystad, Netherlands (19 July 2014)

Its a lovely place, land well kept and safe for kids to run around freely chasing chickens and ducks around..
Robert from Isle Of Wight ,Hampshire (18 April 2014)

Lodges were lovely. Well equipped.
Liz from Strathclyde (11 April 2014)

Very good
Ann from Cranbrook (05 October 2013)

Nichola (05 November 2012)

A really peaceful, away from it all holiday with the wildlife. Chickens in residence - they love biscuits especially jammy dodgers!. visited by 2 badgers every night. Ideal location for exploring the area. Linda & peter most welcoming & helpful.
Janet from Hinckley (15 September 2012)

Had a lovely time despite the rain
Kathleen (07 July 2012)

Lovely location - quiet & peaceful with fantastic view of glastonbury tour. We also loved the wandering chickens!
Sarah from Hook (13 April 2012)

I would recommend this holiday to anyone looking for some peace and quiet for a few days in lovely surroundings.
Mrs B from Crawley (06 June 2011)

This site was everything it was advertised to be - simple, peaceful and relaxing. The lodges although fairly close to each did not seem to be - the privacy hedges did what they are supposed to do but enabled us to keep an eye on the children running around the site.
Mrs N from Brighton (29 April 2011)

Lodge and grounds were great and location extremely peaceful, whilst having lots of attractions within easy reach.
Mr F from Walsall (11 April 2011)

Would recommend if you want peace and tranquillity. Plenty of outdoor space for children to run free. Would holiday here again, without hesitation.
Mrs W from Milton Keynes (12 November 2010)

The park is beautifully situated with a great view of the Tor. The chalets are very nice and well equipped. There are no facilities on the park, but it's nice and quiet and there are many great places to visit in the area.
Mr L from Amsterdam (23 October 2010)

If you want a quiet break, in lovely countryside, with great views, close to historic towns, try this.
Mr A from London (04 October 2010)

These lodges are heaven for anyone who wants laid back privacy. The views from the porch are so beautiful you end up spending all your time looking at them. The freedom to wander the grounds and even pick apples from their trees is a pleasure shared. The lodges are the best we have been in with friendly and helpful owners unobtrusively on hand. There is no shortage of things to do in the area, Wells and Glastonbury are only short drives away. On site you have bird watching by day and badger watching by night. Who needs the bright lights and booze of a big camp, we certainly appreciated the quiet.
Mrs D from London (11 September 2010)

Excellent accommodation in a quiet location with lots to do nearby.
Mr H from Sittingbourne (21 August 2010)

Very peaceful location and lovely lodges, friendly staff.
Mrs B from Ipswich (21 August 2010)

Great out of the way location and each lodge is private but close enough for all the children to make friends and play together.
Mr S from Stockton-On-Tees (14 August 2010)

Wonderfully quiet and peaceful location ideal for sightseeing and relaxation.
Mrs U from Bury St. Edmunds (31 July 2010)

Nice lodges in a quiet location. Its great to have wide open spaces for the kids to run around on, and the lodges are semi hidden from each other, so the feeling of privacy and space is even greater.
Mr S from Holmfirth (19 July 2010)

An excellent place for children to be children again. No gadgets, playground or computers. Our 6 and 7 year old boys played cricket, football, tennis and frisbie with us in the field in front of the house and had a fantastic time. Thoroughly recommend it for a quiet family holiday but also with lots of attractions near by.
Mr H from Gallowstree Common (21 April 2010)

A peaceful location, with stunning views. Wildlife including Buzzards and a Kestrel were seen. Easy access and ideal location to visit many Somerset attractions, if you so wish, or just remain on site and relax.
Mr T from Oxted (25 March 2010)

High quality log cabins well insulated for the winter, great views, quiet, and surrounded by fields and trees.
Mrs G from Great Yarmouth (03 January 2010)

Excellent location for exploring Wells, Bath, Bristol and local area in Somerset. Lodges are private and secluded with outstanding views across open countryside. A peaceful place without being too cut off. Would definitely go back to this lodge park and area.
Mrs R from Poole (29 September 2009)

Clean, well equipped lodges in a very tranquil site, very friendly owners. If you would like a peaceful holiday in well kept grounds and short journeys to many attractions this is for you.
Mr M from Havant (14 September 2009)

We would definitely recommend this park to others. Whilst there are no on-site facilities, it is so central to so many wonderful attractions you simply don't need them. Very peaceful, brilliant views, and the foxes and badgers were the icing on the cake!
Mr J from Shipley (07 September 2009)

The location of the lodges was perfect for peace and quiet, and a good central location within the area for many days out.
Miss E from Holywell (30 August 2009)

A peaceful location and homely and comfortable accomomdation. The best UK self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and we will DEFINITELY return for years to come, 10/10 !
Mr S from Shrewsbury (17 August 2009)

We had a fantastic week in the lodge and have all ready recommended it to many friends!
Mrs J from Chichester (27 June 2009)

Unbeatable for relaxation with so many interesting places to visit: e.g. Bath, Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar, Stourhead and Lacock.
Mr O from Milton Keynes (11 October 2008)

We have stayed at many Hoseasons Lodges and for the standard of accommodation I can honestly say this was probably the best! The location, close to Glastonbury, Wells, Longleat etc provided plenty to do throughout the week. I would whole heartedly recommend this park, but be aware that there are no on site facilities, which for us did not matter.
Mr R from Borehamwood (27 September 2008)

Spindlewood is the perfect place to stay with small children - acres of running-around space, cows to walk down the lane to say goodnight to every night, endless peace and quiet. Bliss.
Mr M from Manningtree (22 September 2008)

This is one of many holidays with your company, and we have never been disappointed or had need for complaint.
Mrs P from Gosport (24 May 2008)

I would recommend these lodges. We saw wild deer, several birds of prey and on our last visit we were visited by a badger. You are also nice and close to Longleat and all the other attractions that Somerset has to offer.
Mr T from Hove (18 April 2008)

A great base for exploring and very central to surrounding attractions. The owners are friendly and it is a very peaceful location. Just excellent - we'll be back!
Mr S from Barnet (04 April 2008)

Brilliant value for money and the accommodation is excellent with everything you need for a self catering break. A superb location - half hour or less from all the top attractions, we will definitely go again!
Mrs B from Dudley (28 March 2008)

It was so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of a noisy town, to wake in the morning so peaceful and abundance of wildlife on your doorstep.
Mr D from Gillingham (24 March 2008)

An idyllic location, peace and quiet, hard to fault accommodation and worth every penny!
Mr B from Horley (21 September 2007)

The location is lovely and the lodges are comfortable. It is ideal for a large range of holiday attractions, and we would certainly look to book to go back again!
Mr H from Chichester (25 August 2007)

Peaceful with wonderful open spaces for children to play without invading the privacy of other lodges and a very friendly reception. This was our second visit and we would visit again!
Mrs H from Bourne (18 August 2007)

Brilliant scenic location, ideal for families and wonderful accommodation.
Mrs C from Biggleswade (16 June 2007)

A nice, friendly and welcoming place with a high standard of accommodation. Lovely surrounding areas and an ideal place for young families.
Mr T from Bournemouth (09 June 2007)

Accommodation very good and location good.
Mrs G (19 August 2006)

This was an ideal holiday for us - the peace and quiet of the lodges yet within close proximity of lots of things to do. Ideal for those who want to relax, chill out and take in what this delightful part of the country has to offer.
Mr M (08 July 2006)
