Wonderful site, very clean, have got every thing on site that you need.would definitely go again.
Mary from Tonbridge Kent (18 June 2018)

Enjoyed our holiday but do feel that the twin bedrooms are not big enough for two adults there was no room to move they should be made into single rooms.
Sheila from Southampton (16 June 2018)

Accomodation not very clean, very long time waiting for food in the restaurant not helped by staff member walking out. Would have complained on site but there was always a very long queue at reception. Did not spend hardly any time there as not happy with service. Very expensive just for somewhere to sleep would not recommend
Customer 3 from Basingstoke (01 June 2018)

Restaurant service diabolical. Second evening we were told it was a 45 min wait ,then after an hour told it would be at least another 20 mins with a five year old child this is bad . . breakfast no better served with cheap tasting pancakes that were stone cold. Never seen so many unhappy people .many asking for their money back and going off site to eat. . they knew it was half term so should have been ready .
Elizabeth (01 June 2018)

On the plus side caravan was clean and had all of the necessary things to self cater. On the less positive the food in the restaurant was not hot and the queues for the bar were very long. However overall a very enjoyable short stay
John (28 May 2018)

On arrival got a free upgrade so off to a good start. Facilities were good but a bigger outdoor play area would be good. Both pools good and even though the staff were up against it they were very helpful and polite
Jan from Camberley (28 May 2018)

Hi. The stay was fine however there was lots of loud music playing and a crowd of drunk men staying on site. Music was reported but no control was achieved over the music. Spoilt it for many people (3 days of pound music)
Phillip from Sutton Surrey (28 May 2018)

Lovely place to stay caravan was clean park was clean staff were friendly the only thing that let the park down was the food..the fish and chips shop was very very slow had to wait 1hour35 mins for our food..and the next night football was on in the main bar where the food was being served so it was rammed so ended up getting food from the shop on sight and cooking myself which is what we then did for the next night.
Gemma from Swindon (28 May 2018)

I paid for a bilbury caravan, but because I requested a caravan near the amenities due to disabilities I felt the caravan we were given felt like a down grade and was suitable for people with dogs, the reason we choose the bilbury was that we were told it didn't allow pets in the caravan, as to breathing difficulties, also the cleaner was still in the caravan when we were allocated our keys, I should think you would make sure the caravans are ready before allocating the keys.
Sue from Bristol (25 May 2018)

The single beds I don't think are suitable for adults they are too small, otherwise all was well in the lodge and at the park we had a good holiday
Elizabeth from Stoke On Trent (21 May 2018)

We came away for a long weekend we had a good time, the caravan was great but some of the windows did not fit properly so it was cold at night
Linda from South Gloucestershire (14 May 2018)

Always loved sandford. Only issue was the amount of rubbish laying around. the extras have shot up in price too, which is unfortunate given they are normally what children want to do.. i.e the bikes.
Hayley (23 April 2018)

Great place for a holiday with loads to do ,we stayed in a willow caravan and the traffic noise early in the morning from the road along side it was so noisy it woke you up.

I have visited sanford in the past several times when it was weststar. It has unfortunatly gone very done hill from then, food in resterant was overpriced and not nice at all. Staff were very unhelpful and none seemed to smile. The entertainment was good and the troupers made this enjoyable.

Kenneth from Northamptonshire (23 March 2018)

Great location and accommodation. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. This was our second holiday at this site and we will definitely be returning.
Barry from Cambridge (23 March 2018)

Absolutely fabulous holiday for young children, the entertainment is everything you could want, the softplay is clean and as an added bonus you can meet the characters at breakfast! you get what you pay for, there were a few hiccups with our caravan but all sorted promptly by friendly staff. If you are looking for a typical british caravan holiday this is the place for it! we had a lovely time overall!

Donna from Marlborough (19 February 2018)

Lovely place to stay though the swimming pool changing rooms needed to kept cleaner
Vicky (16 February 2018)

A lovely venue. Caravan was delayed as cleaning staff were behind, but it was fine. caravans bedrooms need better heating for feb half term. it's our second visit and overall we enjoy our time there.
Royston from Camberley (16 February 2018)

Disappointed with accommodation . flagged up things wrong on arrival ( no light bulbs in kitchen or bedroom and no instructions to tell us how to work heater in living room) lady who came round shorter after arrival took note of these things but said she couldn’t help with heater as she d never seen one like it before (??) light bulbs never did get fitted. Went to reception about blinds falling off wall ( tried to close them!) and that was repaired promptly . car park and park flooded badly due to heavy rain . we were given a lodge ( mobile home) right at the back of the park so had to drive down to reception anytime we wanted to do anything as no wellies and had a six year old with me. Most of car park cones off as reserving huge spaces for new caravans arriving ready for summer season! . nobody told us we had to book kids on to activities as spaces limited ( archery etc) so child missed out on lots.
Janine from Oxford (16 February 2018)

Very good site, clean and well maintained (drainage of rain water around play area poor) restaurant staff very friendly and helpful, arrived at 3pm and had a 2 hour wait as cleaning not done, not good!

The place is pleasant and the bar area is nice but the food on site is fairly poor. We ate in their restaurant a couple of times and it was just ok. The breakfast sandwich was one of the biggest disappointments i’ve ever had. The caravan was relatively new. The beds were comfortable, but there was no instructions for the heating and it went off one evening and took a long time to find the weird button in the bedroom to turn it back on. Also, parts of the caravan had been knocked off and wouldn’t stay in place. Everything bookable was an extra charge, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere until I made the bookings
David from St Neots (12 February 2018)

I and my family ( 2x oldies 2x 30`s and 2 under 10`s) great place for family fun, however, not in february. Too cold and heating in caravan not warm enough. Woke in the morning like mr frosty. Water was frozen so no cup of tea or washing facilities until it defrosted after 2-3 hours. Only a minor problem and only on the 1st day. Rest of our stay was fine. Watch out for the penny arcades they suck your money from your wallet without you noticing until its too late...haha! bar prices mmmmmm? 2 soft drinks 1 pint lager and 2 bottles of water £12.80p. Rip off in my opinion but expect that when your a captive audience. If your aware of all of the above before booking then you can make your own judgement. . as a couple and if you want peace and quiet this is not for you, if you don't like kids and couldn't eat a whole one then this is not for you. . . note this is only my grumpy ol mans opinion. . if you go then I hope you enjoy but go in the summer.

Great place for a large family gathering.
Kenneth from Launceston (30 October 2017)

We enjoyed our stay. Lots for the children to do nearby.
Gillian (30 October 2017)

Lovely location. Great site well spread out and easy access to local area and beaches. Great family holiday.
Jennifer from Northamptonshire (30 October 2017)

We were very pleased with our caravan. It was clean and had plenty of space for the 3 of us. The location was very convenient being close to the entertainment centre, the only drawback was noise at night but this was generally only for a short time as the centre closed for the night.

Steven from Isles Of Scilly (30 October 2017)

We had an awful time with you at sandford due to our shower/bathroom leaking water into the lounge / dinning area, the shower was either burning hot or freezing cold, which meant one of our children has suffered a reaction and have visited our local nurse since coming home due to being unable to properly wash the chlorine of her sensitive skin, to treat a rash she picked up, the name for it is pool/spa folilitus, (we left early on the thursday 26th and she is still needing cream and special bath ointment nearly a month on) our toilet seat was broken/needing tightening and kept catching out skin and the lock was broken on the bathroom door. My husband visited reception on the tuesday morning and was told somebody would be out to sort it, but nobody came and every time we used the bathroom the water came up through the floor making the floor wet and the caravan damp and smelly. So a very disappointing time with you. We have pictures of the wet damp carpet etc.
Fran from Birchington Kent (27 October 2017)

Very disappointed with the standard of the caravan. This is the most expensive caravan holiday we have had. The caravan looked very tired. There was two cracks in the shower base. Was reported but nothing was done about it. There was a creak on the kitchen floor and there was bad condensation on the windows. I had trouble turning on the fire. On the plus side my daughter left her school reading book in the van and they returned very quickly. Caravans need updating badly. Won't be returning for a few years at least.
Lisa from Swindon (27 October 2017)

Had 2 problem with the cooker that took over an hour to solve then only half of the hob worked and the grill didn’t either. Caravan was dirty and the fridge was all rusty
Shelley from Northants (27 October 2017)

The site itself was lovely but the caravan we were given was old and shabby. The staff fixed the hot water quickly.
Sonia from Kenilworth (27 October 2017)

A lovely camp site, with plenty of places to go and see
Tracy from Ferryhill (27 October 2017)

Lovely holiday park, friendly helpful staff, excellent entertainment, could not recommend enough, faultless! . would definitely stay here again.
Vanessa from South East (27 October 2017)

Lovely park with overall nice facilities. Swimming pool very cold, although we will stay again, we won't even try the pool. Maintenance requested twice before anyone came out. Didn't use any good outlets as we catered ourselves.
Jill from Aylesbury (27 October 2017)

We had an awful time with you at sandford due to our shower/bathroom leaking water into the lounge / dinning area, the shower was either burning hot or freezing cold, which meant one of our children has suffered a reaction and have visited our local nurse since coming home due to being unable to properly wash the chlorine of her sensitive skin, to treat a rash she picked up, the name for it is pool/spa folilitus, (we left early on the thursday 26th and she is still needing cream and special bath ointment nearly a month on) our toilet seat was broken eeding tightening and kept catching out skin and the lock was broken on the bathroom door.

Lovely holiday, the caravan was lovely apart from the bathroom, the floor didn't seem safe, around the sink it seemed spongy and sloped, I don't know if it was me I couldn't get the temperature right in the shower, but that is my only gripe, every else was lovely, the place of sandford is central for everywhere we wanted to go and the site is so peaceful.

Very nice site lovely and clean nice place to take the dogs.it was nice to have somewhere to go with the dogs in the evening and you didnt have to be outside with your pets.the only down side was the wi fi you could only get from the entertainment and reception area
Linda (06 October 2017)

Food was dreadful. Waiting was not acceptable. Portions of food were consistant- example being I asked for two types of meat in the carvery, as did a customer in front of me.chef removed a slice of meat from my plate, leaving two slices on my plate, saying he couldnt give me that amount.the man in front of me had 5 slices of meat!!

Caravan was old, tired and just needed to be scrapped! I don't know if it was the actual decor colour but everything looked tobacco stained. Simple things like a washing up sponge and little bottle of liquid would have been a nice touch considering cooking/use of plates etc will be used. Staff gave wrong information about entertainment events and when we complained at check out (we checked out a day early because we just didn't want to be there!) all we got was "well you should of told us before" that's all well and good but if i'm paying good money on a holiday, I shouldn't have to complain about anything?? we saved for the holiday and only get selective time off and even though it was a 3 night holiday, we wanted to relax! and to top off a hell of a weekend, after deciding to have breakfast in the restaurant, I found a hair in my food. At this point I was too tired and fed up to even say anything so just got up and left. Overall, a waste of time and money.

Holiday excellent, only one complaint.the shelves between the tables in the restaurant were very dirty
Robert from Ossett (22 September 2017)

Sand ford park was gone for us as a base to explore the local area. We didn't spend a lot of time at the park uso g the facilities
Josie from Ashby De La Zouch (22 September 2017)

Caravan needed cleaning when I arrived .. and for a camp that was full of elderly people there was nothing during the day time for entertainment for people who could not do things like archery or swimming ..

Relaxing short break and staff very friendly and happy to help
Karen from Northamptonshire (18 September 2017)

We liked the site but not the 'luxury' caravan I paid extra for. there were no shelves or hooks in the bathroom or on any of the doors or walls. I used to own a luxury caravan and I would not class that one as luxury. very disappointed with it. it was made specially for parkdean so I shall be wary of booking parkdean again.
Claire from Eastleigh (18 September 2017)

The swimming pool was closed over lunch period and early evening so we were unable to use this facility (which was one of the reasons for booking the site)
Liz (18 September 2017)

Caravan was dusty on arrival. Decking had not been swept. Not enough furniture for number of adults and children to sit around table to eat. But we had a lovely weekend and will be back next year.
Jennifer from Christchurh (18 September 2017)

Lovely setting. Nice and quiet. Felt a million miles away from anywhere ! my kind of escape

Great site. One of the best we have been to. Caravan was clean and well presented. A little close to the road, but we are late birds so didn't distract too much. Don't be put off by some reviews, judge for yourself. Food was good, chippie excellent. On site shop has reasonable prices. We will go back again next year.
Ernest from Cwmbran, Wales (15 September 2017)

We had a great holiday at sandford, the site is well positioned for travelling to local places of interest and only a short drive to swanage, poole or bournmouth. The site is clean and well maintained we enjoyed our meals in the restaurant and the fish and chip shop and the entertainment in the club in the evenings was very good. There is also a well stocked shop on site for bread, milk, papers etc. What more could you want?
Garry from Margate (15 September 2017)

Nice place to stay , helpful staff , very clean caravan , everything at hand , well maintained , ideal for all ages .
Ian (15 September 2017)

We had a lovely break for four days, the holiday camp was excellent, staff always available to help and when needed the maintenance done straight away no problems, only one or two negatives. The inside of the accomodation needs updating, also new mattresses as they don't give anyone a good sleep. . let us know if they get sorted we will be back for longer.
Nigel from Margate (15 September 2017)

Very pleased..no moans here.
Sharon (15 September 2017)

The caravan we stayed in was clean when we arrived but one of the doors of the caravan the key wouldn't open it. The heating wasn't working, there was a big gap in one of the bedroom window, the bathroom light wouldn't turn off and seats in one of the corners smelt as if it had been used as a toilet had to spray it with fabreeze to try to get rid of it. The concert room was very cold as the air conditioning was on full blast and so I only went twice. The food was basic but edible. The staff were friendly and helpful,.
Susan from Birmingham (15 September 2017)

Found the park a bit dated needs a make over, love the way the homes are in woodland. Fish and chip shop wasn't that good ended up binning what we brought. We wouldn't go back to this park had to travel quite a few miles to get anywhere just didn't suit us
Kyra from West Sussex (15 September 2017)

Good holiday that everyone enjoyed a good mix of facilities for all ages and the outside pool temperature was excellent. The evening entertainment was a lot better than at other caravan parks that we have stayed at.
Carol from South Woodham Ferrers (04 September 2017)

This lodge was quite expensive for what it was, lots of nightly thinks wrong, and looked nothing like the pictures.
