Lovely spot quiet and tranqill.
Newman from Glos (08 October 2016)

We all had a relaxing time. Good place to be based to visit local area & pubs. . well equipped lodge and the hot tub was a delight.
Christopher from Purley On Thames (07 October 2016)

Just brilliant- we loved the rural location, the staff were great, and the lodge was perfect for us.
Caroline (01 October 2016)

Absolutely fantastic holiday. Very peaceful and relaxing. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Sue from Newport (30 September 2016)

This was our fourth visit to ruby country lodges in oakhampton and after this year will be our last! very disappointed with the lodge
Customer 6 from Newport (30 September 2016)

Such a beautiful lodge inside and out, such luxurious fixtures and extras like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels etc! hot tub well maintained, no time restrictions like other places! so peaceful! in the middle of nowhere which we loved! andrew the manager was so friendly and helpful, I can't rate it highly enough! we loved our week there and would love to go back!
Antony from Brandon, Suffolk (30 September 2016)

Lovely relaxing time, peace and quiet with nothing around so just relaxing
Debbie from Bristol (26 September 2016)

This was the 3rd time we've stayed at ruby country lodges. As always we had a lovely relaxing break.
Julie from Poole (23 September 2016)

The perfect 'get away from it all break' to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. the lodge (no 34) was immaculate and the hot tub just perfect for staring up at the stars at night with a (plastic) glass of bubbly. the staff were so friendly and helpful with advice about the best walks and cycle trails for us. we loved the fact it was away from everything so if you want to take a step off the treadmill of life and kick back and relax, this is the place to come. we will be back :)
Ashley from Leicester (16 September 2016)

The location was far more remote than we thought and this is the only reason why I would not return. Staff are fantastic and the lodge we stayed in was perfect. If you want to park up, unpack and lounge for a week then this is the ideal place for you.
Julie from Cwmbran (10 September 2016)

A very quiet site, but made for a lovely relaxing family holiday. The lodge was very comfortable with everything we needed. The hot tub was great for all the family. Plenty of places within a short drive to visit. Great beaches at bude, widemouth bay and crackington haven.
Teresa from Birmingham (03 September 2016)

Had a great time,
Natalie from Southampton (02 September 2016)

Great holiday great site. Very helpful staff. Going back for a third time this next year
Ian from Surrey (26 August 2016)

The best lodge i've ever been too . the place is amazing & hot tub is fantastic . will definitely be back ! it was a perfect weekend
Mark from North Wales (15 August 2016)

A lovely well looked after lodge, full of everything you need, from tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, soap powder and complimentary shower gels. A peaceful site with attentive staff with the added luxury of a private hot tub on your decking. The site is secluded with the closest village store being 3 miles away, you need to drive 10 miles for nearest town/supermarket. . we had a lovely chilled holiday, and loved the narrow lanes driving around, trips to boscastle and port isaac highly recommended. All in all if you want a break away from noise and enjoy walking, cycling or driving out to places then I cannot recommend this site highly enough.
Lisa from Fleet (15 August 2016)

Lovely lodge, friendly staff only downside was the remote location
Corinne from East Yorkshire (13 August 2016)

A little hiccup in the way of a broken hot tub on arrival but was working by day 2 of 7. We were offered use of another one though. The lodge itself was clean and tidy and had everything we needed and more including washing machine, dishwasher, whirlpool bath and a sauna. The staff on site were very helpful and friendly and offered us advise on places to visit. For us the location was perfect, nothing to do on site unless you like talking to the cows as our children found hilarious. Very peaceful great to listen and watch the wildlife and the starry skies at night. We ventured off everyday to places such as plymouth, becky falls, padstow and bude to name a few. All equally beautiful this being the reason is was a perfect site for us as was central. We have booked to return next year in the same lodge and i'm already counting down the days. Highly recommend
Lindsay from Cambridgeshire (13 August 2016)

An enjoyable stay in comfortable accommodation and quite surroundings. Would definitely recommend.
Lee from Essex (06 August 2016)

My family and I (2 small children) had a fantastic week at our lodge. The lodge itself was far better than it looked in the pictures! really clean, comfortable and the hot tub was amazing! a great location to go and explore lots of places and beaches!!!! a really relaxing stay and we would definitely return!
Rachel from Harrogate (06 August 2016)

Lovely lodge with lovely hot tub. so peaceful and quiet. we're already planning our next stay.
Sharon from Wolverhampton (05 August 2016)

Clean, and tidy. Not much to walk round on site. Little isolated from shops but we were aware of this. Good if you want a break from evrything!
Julie (23 July 2016)

Awesome for a nice quiet time away, you can come and go as you please and relax in the hot tub as and when you choose. Great for quite down time.
Kevin from Swindon (23 July 2016)

Great place to stay. Back next year
Benn (18 July 2016)

Fantastic relaxing break away! the lodge was amazing and very much felt like a home. The staff were very kind and we were greeted nicely on our arrival. The setting was very tranquil but was very secluded from the nearest town so meant a few miles drive to the shops. We would definitely like to return in the future and will recommend to others. We went for a relaxing break away and we got what we expected!
Seamus from Horsham (16 July 2016)

Absolutely fantastic. Cannot fault it at all.
Caroline from Nottingham (16 July 2016)

Very nice and quiet relaxing time staff very helpful with information about the site and sourounding area very comfortable cabin and only an hrs drive from most towns, the local pub the junction inn serves nice food and good value for money
Stephen (16 July 2016)

This is the most peaceful setting ever, immaculate lodges with superb furnishings, down side is that there are no on site facilities a camp shop would be great and you have to travel, ideally placed on the edge of dartmoor and the delights of cornwall within a comfortable drive but if you want the most peaceful break ever without traffic noise screaming kids etc---- this is heaven, hot tub is the best way to relax after a days walking up and down devon,s hills, we will return here at some point without hesitation
Steve from Dorset (15 July 2016)

Lovely large and clean lodge with everything you need. everywhere was clean and tidy on arrival and the complimentary tea and coffee a nice if unexpected touch. the hot tub was great and very relaxing in the evening once our little boy had gone to bed. if you want a quiet and relaxing location then this is it.
Michael from Somerset (15 July 2016)

Great cabin quiet spot only thing wrong is if you havent got a car your miles from anywhere
Julie (09 July 2016)

Fantastic location ,lovely lodge ,brilliant hot tub. if your after great entertainment, and a lively site , go somewhere else.if your after a quiet romantic break with lovely surroundings you have found it.
Paul from Bristol (08 July 2016)

Amazing location, beautiful surroundings. Loved the hot tub. Lodge itself didn't have a thing out of place and its within driving distance of some lovely places. So sorry to leave on our last day. Better than some holidays we've had abroad. On site staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Overall a brilliant holiday and memories were made.
Gaz from South Wales (08 July 2016)

Good as ever, our regular holiday location, you need a car, peace and quiet in abundance, great escape from the rat race.
Paula from Weybridge (02 July 2016)

Fab holiday at ruby country lodges. The lodge was beautiful, clean and the jacuzzi bath was an added bonus (lodge 35). we have two small children (3 1/2 years and 11 months) and it was brilliant that the lodge decking was level with the grass so no risk of falling down steps, they were able to run/crawl freely. The hot tub lid also has a strap on (mainly to stop the lid blowing off in the wind) so was great to have that extra safety for the kids. The site was so quiet and staff were very helpful and friendly. The weather was not brilliant but the lodge was spacious enough to enjoy time spent indoors. There was plenty to do, indoors in bad weather and outdoors on our one day of sunshine if you're willing to travel. Bude was a 40 minute drive but we had a beautiful sunny day on the beach and made use of the indoor pool and soft play centre on a rainy day. We visited the milky way amusement park which was great for the kids and not too pricey. Had a lovely cooked breakfast in the garden centre cafe which is on the way to the nearest supermarket (30 minute drive). driving everywhere isn't too bad as its all country roads so doesn't feel as long as it is. We had a power cut one evening due to the weather (no fault of the site and couldn't be helped) but we had a lovely added touch of games and books in one of the cupboards in the lodge so it was an evening of monopoly by torchlight which was great fun! we had a wonderful week (despite the weather) and would definitly recommend the site to young families and couples. We hardly saw anybody and it was so quiet and peaceful with the option of exploring further afield for activities if desired.
Leanne from Northamptonshire (02 July 2016)

Absolutely brilliant, beautiful setting, lovely lodge with excellent facilities. will definitely return.
Ian from Silverdale, Lancashire (01 July 2016)

Loved it! the juccuzi is the clear highlight but it's stunning and quiet too
Naomi (01 July 2016)

Nice clean and well equipped , staff very friendly and helpful . relaxing and peaceful location . plenty of room in lodge , will be going back again .
Simon from South Wales (27 June 2016)

We had a wonderful honeymoon at ruby country lodges. Hot tub was amazing and the log cabin was spot on just beautiful!
Matthew from Shrewsbury (17 June 2016)

This was our second visit to ruby lodges the staff were really helpful and polite
Paul (13 June 2016)

We was looking for a relaxing romantic break for our wedding anniversary and that is just what we got. Will return in the forseeable future.
Jayne from Caerphilly (13 June 2016)

The setting was lovely, deep in the heart of the countryside. There was room for the two boys to enjoy a game of football and we all got plenty of use out of the hot tub. A good location for exploring north devon and north cornwall as we were in driving distance of many tourist attractions
Joanne from Worcester (04 June 2016)

Best uk holiday I have had for ages, lodge number 10 is stunning and lovely and quiet. Already booked for next year after just a week being home. Thank you to andrew and staff at ruby, you should be very proud of your customer service. Excellent in every way
Tim from Bronsgrove (04 June 2016)

Third visit in five years and booked up for september 2017. Fabulous place staff excellent cannot fault it at all.
Mark from Tenterden Kent (04 June 2016)

Lovely stay at this lodge, very relaxing. the manager was very helpful and pleasant. would stay again at a lodge, but we might go to a busier resort next time as it is quite far from activities. lovely and clean, with everything you would need.
Dee from Manchester (03 June 2016)

Beautiful location, had a very relaxing time, staff were helpful and courteous, would definitely return.
Paul from Halesowen (03 June 2016)

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at the ruby country lodges. The cabin was spot less and really spacious. It was also equipped with everything you could possibly need. It felt like we were at home. The site was secluded and peaceful and there was plenty of room for our 5 year old to play with his ball and frisbe. We also loved the hot tub and how private that was too. Any staff I came across whilst we were there were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely consider returning here and have recommended it to our family and friends :)
Michelle from Rugeley, Staffordshire (03 June 2016)

Lovely place for peace and quiet very clean everything you need for a great hoilday
Sharon from Salisbury (28 May 2016)

Excellent site, lodge was fantastic, hot tub was amazing
Ian from Salisbury (23 May 2016)

It was the 9th time we have stayed at the ruby, however this time our hot tub was emptied early morning on our departure day which was dissapointing as we all wanted to use it when we got up! before checking out. I was to believe the cabin and hot tub is yours up until you leave!
Jeanette from Bristol (16 May 2016)

Love it here.
Janet from Bristol (13 May 2016)

Pleasant location off the beaten track, very quiet with no traffic noise, just what we were looking for to unwind. nearest shops a few miles away but we this was not a problem as we shopped when out and about. The staff were very helpful and unobtrusive. Would recommend for a great break.
Martyn from Blandford (13 May 2016)

Beautiful surroundings. . clean and lovely log cabin. . staff were friendly and helpful at all times. . we have booked up to go again next year.
Nicole from Yeovil (06 May 2016)

Absolutly fantastic staff lovely place to stay very relaxing will defiantly stay again
Terri-Anne from Gloucester (06 May 2016)

These were very good lodges, and excellent value for the amount we paid. We had probably the quietest lodge on the park, and the lodge that attracted the most sun (when it came out). . . the staff were very helpful, even ringing the day before about what time we could get in to the lodge. This was excellent as they rang with very good news!! . . the only negative about this park is that it is a bit "isolated". the countryside is gorgeous, but the nearest small shop and pub is over 2 miles away, whilst larger supermarkets are about 10 miles away. This is the only thing that would put us off booking again.
Richard from Bedworth (02 May 2016)

Can't wait to go again
Wayne from Trowbridge (02 May 2016)

Amazing area, site was very peaceful just what we wanted. Nearest shop 2 miles which was fine, we knew that , main road had no footpath so couldn't walk to them but that didn't bother us . lane to the site was fine when we went not a lot of traffic but a few passing bays so think even an inexperienced driver would have no problem.
Lynn from Bournemouth (29 April 2016)

Great relaxing weekend break for partners birthday, lovely peaceful surroundings, only downside is havin to drive about 15, 20 minutes to the nearest supermarket, wouldn't stop us going back again though, loved the hot tub aswell
Clare from Taunton (18 April 2016)

My partner, 2 children and I had a lovely break at ruby cottages. We arrived earlier than booking in time, but staff could not have been more accommodating, letting us put our milk in their fridge, and helping us out with finding places to go in the local area whilst our lodge was cleaned. The lodge was spotless and had far more than was necessary. The shower was quite a treat and the hot tub was wonderful. I honestly could not recommend this place enough, it is ideally situated for dartmoor national park, cornwall and devon, with nothing more than a short drive away.
Hayley (08 April 2016)

Lovely relaxing break nice and quiet. Lodge was really nice and spotlessly clean. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend it to everyone.
Ann from Weston Super Mare (28 March 2016)

An excellent relaxing break over the easter weekend in such a peaceful location.
Catherine from Liverpool (28 March 2016)

Beautiful warm lodge, helpful staff nothing too much trouble. lodge was very clean, loved it all. hot tub was extremely clean and checked twice a day.
Sandra (28 March 2016)

Everything about our holiday was perfect , location , peacefulness , cleanness , friendliness of the staff , we've even booked to go back next year
Tracy (26 March 2016)

With very little phone signal the lodge would have definitely benefit from wifi . this was our only downside . the location is peaceful, the lodge was beautiful and the hot tub just tops it off!
Sam from Oxford (21 March 2016)

Perfect stay in no. 23!. enjoyed hours of fun in the hot tub in our own company, in a well equipped lodge that had any and everything we required during our stay. Staff were brilliant, and so friendly. I will definitely be looking to book again soon!
Kelly from Abergavenny (21 March 2016)

The lodge and surroundings were great, how ever it is too far from any thing even shops, so you had the locate and plan a good half hour just to get a pint of milk. This detail should be in the booking information.
Barry from Croydon (18 March 2016)

Had a lovely break here for my birthday in march. We were greeted warmly by andrew who showed us round. the lodge had some toiletries and coffee etc enough for the first night. Nice touch it is well equipped and spotless. peaceful location with well spaced pitches. Within easy travel distance to both the cornish and devonshire coast line. Great break wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We will be back
Wendy from Leeds (11 March 2016)

Loved everything about our stay.
Janet from Bristol (07 March 2016)

We've been 3 times and going again soon, such a lovely bit of heaven and the staff are so so helpful and friendly , an absolute must for a lovely piece full break away from the hustle and bustle see you soon
Sharon from Devon (07 March 2016)

Beautiful lodge, number 28 including a whirlpool bath. much more than what was expected for the price. a very quiet location in the middle of nowhere, exactly what we wanted. the staff were so welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. we were late arriving, the heating and lights were switched on and hot tub heated for arrival, such a good service.
Jennifer from Doncaster (04 March 2016)

Very relaxing and nice to be away from it all, especially the internet!
Kay from Bristol (29 February 2016)

Lovely lodge and very relaxing but a bit to out of the way for us but nothing actually wrong with the lodges or staff very nice and would still recommend to people but wouldn't personally stay there again.
Lianne from Gloucester (29 February 2016)

Amazing holiday again! we will be back soon!
Joanna from Bristol (26 February 2016)

Myself and a friend stayed at ruby country lodge two weeks ago for a relaxing long weekend away. We had a truly lovely time and came away so relaxed, we really didn't want to leave. The site was really peaceful, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. It was a rainy cold weekend so we didn't venture far - it didn't feel like there was much to do locally but that gave us the perfect excuse to do nothing , which was bliss. Had it been nicer weather i'm sure the local villages would have been more appealing. We did visit bude which wasn't too far away but it was a total wash out unfortunately. Be prepared to do some driving if you want to do activities elsewhere. I would and have recommended the site to others and I hope to return, because it really was fantastic!
Sarah from Bristol (22 February 2016)

Fantastic lodges in remote location. Very helpful, friendly staff. You really do get away from everyday life here and it's just perfect.
David from Essex (20 February 2016)

Lodge was lovely. Staff friendly and helpful. Perfect place for a relaxing break
Abby from Bristol (19 February 2016)

Beautiful location, clean & modern lodge, private & not overlooked.
Billie from Trowbridge (15 February 2016)

The lodge was clean but very basic for the price. Supermarket is a 10 and 15miles away. Please if your planning to vist you will need a car. There are no internet signal in the lodge. Staff was very helpful. It is definitely a place for couple and family to relax.
Camille (30 December 2015)

If you want to chill, relax and forget your everyday responsibilities this is definitely the place in which to do it. The lodge was beautiful, clean, spacious and well equipped.
Hazel from Helston, Cornwall (16 November 2015)

Excellent lodges, very quiet location, car definitely needed.
Bethan (16 November 2015)

Lovely weekend away. The lodge was pristine. Warm cosy tidy, it had everything we could possible need. Hot tub fantantastic! however being winter and raining it would have been nice if hot tub was sheltered to enjoy outside surroundings. Downside, it was our anniversary and asked for a private cabin. We were bang smack in the middle of all lodges, surrounded on all sides. It didn't look like many lodges were occupied but we weren't sure so kept curtains shut a lot. Hot tub and decking could have benefitted from more surrounding fencing.not private at all. It was ok but only because we went in winter however if summer holiday and eating outside, joe public would be walking past a lot. Overall nice weekend, relaxing and quiet and no interruptions but won't be going back. Not for us.would be too many people close by.we like private . but can't fault the company n lodge. This is just our personal opinion.
Chloe from Frome Somerset (16 November 2015)

Amazing holiday couldent of been any better! everything was perfect beautiful place and lovely lodges! defiantly returning next year. Fantastic.
Jasmin from Bristol (13 November 2015)

Amazing weekend away, the lodge was perfect (only annoying thing was there was no dishwasher as advertised in our lodge) but that was only a small inconvenience , the rest was amazing!! all the little extras you don't expect were lovely such as the jacuzzi bath and the simply fantastic shower! we have already booked again for february, ideal place for a total chill out and relaxing weekend!
Joanna from Bristol (09 November 2015)

Amazing, clean wonderful lodge! cherry on the cake was the hot tub! . fantastically equipped too -. would definitely stay again x
Nicola from Swansea (31 October 2015)

The lodge was fantastic!! andrew & mark were very welcoming and helpful, good knowledge of the surrounding area's, the hot tub is great had a lot of use!! the spa bath was perfect, and the super shower a bonus, would definitely stay again, great value and really peaceful ,excellent !!! ;)))))
Tina from Fairford Glow (31 October 2015)

Very peaceful and relaxing break.
Lesley from Weston Super Mare (23 October 2015)

Just what we were looking for, a complete escape from it all! beautifully quiet, peaceful surroundings, excellent, tastefully decorated comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. And our own wonderful hot tub. Have highly recommended to many friends already and will definately return!

Lovely place isolated in the country yet within easy reach of seaside. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Lodge was spotless and hot tub very relaxing.
Barry from Hereford (16 October 2015)

We an absolutely amazing weekend from start to finish. Surpassed all expectations we had for the place. Can't wait to visit again next year.
Jordan from Swansea (12 October 2015)

Sooo good.
Jo from Devon (12 October 2015)

The lodge was lovely and had all facilities needed including a spa bath and shower for 2. Very well kept and looked after. The outdoor hot tub was a lovely welcome every evening after a day out. However, it could of been placed in a better location such as the large decking area at the front of the lodge. It also missed a good outdoor light to the front door as it was very dark when returning in the evening. A sensor light would have been ideal to get up the steps to the door. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Helen from Sevenoaks, Kent (10 October 2015)

We loved our stay at the lodge, coming back for a second time. Very relaxing, especially the hot tub. We will be back next year.
Julie from Poole (09 October 2015)

A lovely relaxing place to stay. Nothing but peace and quiet. . no shops, no entertainment. . just pure bliss.
Joanne from Bridgwater (05 October 2015)

Absolutely lovely, peaceful place to stay. The people are very welcoming and helpful. Everything we wanted for our holiday as its also surrounded by things to do in cornwall in devon..some a bit of a drive but well worth it. Would definitely return
Suzanne from Reading (03 October 2015)

A really lovely quite place to relax and unwind. the staff were amazing and our hot tub was checked twice a day, which has certainly not happened in other autograph lodges we have stayed in.,
William from Hertfordshire (03 October 2015)

We loved every minute lodge was bright and clean lacation excellent
Roy from Bournemouth (28 September 2015)

Brilliant lodge loved every minute will be back next year to enjoy another break. Thank to the staff for a pleasant stay.
Connor from Derbyshire/ South Normanton (28 September 2015)

A fantastic lodge, very quiet and hot tub was amazing in the evening with a glass of wine under the stars, had everything we needed, we will be returning soon,
Belinda from Christchurch (25 September 2015)

This was the third time of staying at ruby lodge in 13 months - it's a truly beautiful and peaceful location. perfect for relaxing, away from the hussel bussel of everyday life. Not the place to go if you're looking for entertainment on the site. . the staff were extremely helpful - nothing is too much trouble. very customer focussed. . . looking forward to going back again very soon.
Greg (25 September 2015)

Peaceful and relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! just what we needed! perfect hot tub and lodge very comfortable with everything you need- just like home! didn't see the park owners but had contact numbers if required. No phone reception but that suited us just fine! would visit again in a heartbeat!
Harriet from Portsmouth (21 September 2015)

We had a lovely break away, although it was very relaxing there wasnt anything for our 2 year old son to do, he did the love the hot tub, would book again but somewhere a bit closer to a beach, couldnt of asked for nicer staff. . emma & marc
Emma from Newport South Wales (21 September 2015)

Nice quiet site. First class lodge with all facilities including hot tubs. The only negative is no wifi/mobile signal and miles from anywhere so a car is extremely essential.
Dennis from Chorley, Lancs. (19 September 2015)

Been before standard of everything excellent booked already for may 2016
Mark from Tenterden Kent (19 September 2015)

We all had a brilliant time in the hot tub and lodge. Greeted on arrival and was made to feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.
Sarah from Southampton (14 September 2015)

Nice lodge, good location
John from Belper (12 September 2015)

Very nice lodge they are in the middle of know here but we liked that very peaceful and relaxing
Scott from Morecambe (11 September 2015)

We really enjoyed our holiday in the lodge. It was so peaceful there. The hot tub was great and was used many times during our stay. We hope to return again.
Janet from Nottingham (11 September 2015)

We stayed in roadford lodge number 7. It was the first time we had stayed in a lodge and it far exceeded our expectations. . we were fortunate to have good weather. My wife and I were celebrating our ruby wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere quiet and secluded. We just wanted somewhere to chill out. I was impressed with the layout of the lodge which was large yet homely. Three bedrooms although we only needed one. Nice kitchen which was good as we ate in the whole time. The site was very quiet. The only noise was the rustle of the trees and the birds. Perfect. We were visited daily by squirrel. . we asked about staying on a few days extra but it was fully booked. The hot tub was very enjoyable. Sitting in it at midnight gazing at more stars than i've ever seen in my life. As it is so remote there is no light spill from towns or cities. To get about a car is a must. Okehampton is the nearest town and it's 17 miles away. there's a village about 2 miles away called halwil junction that has a pub and general store. It was everything we wanted and more. Definitely looking forward to booking again.
Michael from Liverpool (11 September 2015)

Excellent lodges in a very peaceful beautiful location.
Lorraine from Eastbourne (05 September 2015)

We stayed at lodge no.3 for 4 nights with our two boys! we had such a lovely time - the lodge was stunning , very high spec fixtures and fittings with beautiful furnishings , it felt really homely - the staff were so friendly and helpful and they checked the hot tub twice a day so it was always clean and well kept! although you are in the middle of nowhere I think the location is fabulous! perfect for popping to the cornish coast we went to bude and padstow which were both stunning! I would definitely recommend this park as it is very quiet and peaceful and the staff were amazing! all in all a wonderful mini break with our little family - thankyou ruby lodges we will visit again , thanks laura
Laura from Staffordshire (04 September 2015)

Location slightly remote. Site looked a bit run down. Concrete slabs down for some location of lodges gave the surroundings and unloved feel. How do you give the autograph status to the lodges as this is our third autograph lodge holiday and you can't compare this one as the same standard as our previous two lodges. Worth noting all the mattresses in our lodge need changing.
Michelle from Haverfordwest (04 September 2015)

Very quiet and relaxing, hot tub was great, bed a bit hard. Animals on the roof at night was a bit annoying but then that is the countryside.
Martin (31 August 2015)

We sayed at finlake last year but decided to try ruby this time. Paid the same but got no facilities whatsoever. The nearest shop was 2.5 miles away and the nearest resort (bude) about 45 mins, on some very small country roads. I dont mind paying if some amenities are provided. At finlake we had a bar a pool and organised activities. Here we had nothing, literally nothing. Cant see where the value came from as being the same as finlake. No or few overheads etc,. dont stay here unless you want a get away from it all break spent in peaceful seclusion. If you do want that I would suggest you question the cost???
Mark (29 August 2015)

The lodge was brilliant, we were really impressed. We couldn't fault anything. the location is so tranquil, it is the perfect place to get away from everything. Loved our evenings in the hot tub! . . bear in mind that you will need to travel to get to any of the tourist areas. We knew this beforehand though so it wasn't an issue for us.
Jill from Sheffield (28 August 2015)

Excellent secluded location, perfect for touring the area. Zero o2 reception on site but it was a pleasure once used to it.
Dean from Goole (28 August 2015)

Wonderful park.lovely and peaceful set away from any roads.not overlooked by anyone.lots of wildlife and breath taking night skies.
Deana from Ramsgate (22 August 2015)

The site is clearly a work in progress. The concrete areas around the site need to be beautified to make this a destination rather than just a place to sleep. having said that, the lodge itself was spacious and well kitted out. being just north of dartmoor national park you are in easy reach of the moors and coast.
Nick from Welwyn Garden City (22 August 2015)

Lovely lodge in lovely surroundings everyone enjoyed the hot tub
Sandra from Swindon (22 August 2015)

Absolutely lovely holiday at ruby country lodges. Peaceful setting and surroundings for total relaxation. The hot tub was amazing! would definitely return.
Lauren from Lancashire (15 August 2015)

Beautiful accommodation in lovely peaceful surroundings. We were happy to drive to get to places but if you aren't don't stay here. The only reason we wouldn't come back is that the bed in the master bedroom was very short (and we aren't particularly tall), and generally uncomfortable. It's a shame because apart from this it was excellent.
Eryl (15 August 2015)

Lovely, relaxing holiday. Very clean accomadation, staff very friendly. You do need a car for visiting places and local shops.
Joanne from Kent (15 August 2015)

Fab place, very helpful staff and lovely peaceful setting.
Jane from Hampshire (14 August 2015)

Perfect, relaxing family holiday.
Leon (08 August 2015)

We had a fantastic time and were very impressed with the lodge (particularly the hot tub which the children loved). the lodge facilities were great and it was very luxurious - nothing broken or uncomfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of space between the lodges. There's nothing nearby though, so you'll need a car to get around.
Mark from Leatherhead (08 August 2015)

Beautiful place. Lodge has everything you could ever want. Would definitely recommend!
Elizabeth from Newport (07 August 2015)

The lodges are in a lovely quiet location, had a week there in july with my partner and parents was the perfect location to chill out. The hot tub was well used, and was checked twice daily by staff. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There isn't a lot to do on the site so not brilliant for children. Also you can't get a signal on 02 network. I would definitely recommend to others for a nice chilled out stay.
Susan (01 August 2015)

Stayed here for week 23rd july. Beautiful surroundings, excellent lodge. only downside is we had to drive constantly to see places. knowing this before we went it certainly didn't affect our holiday. lots of things to do and see in bude, dartmoor national park. We travelled to port issac, tintagel, widemouth so a very active holiday. Canonteign falls and bike hire from devon cycle high recommended. beautiful areas fabulous family holiday!!
Antonia from Burscough, Lancashire (01 August 2015)

Relaxing!!. the lodge was excellent (no.3) comfortable and spacious. The hot tub was fantastic, clean & regularly checked. The guys on the park were friendly and helpful. The park its self is quiet and peaceful with a large green area in front the lodge which serves well for the kids. The only down side is you have to drive everywhere but that's why the park is so peaceful. Overall a fantastic place to stay & if I can stomach the 6-7 hour drive from suffolk I will definitely be back.
Gary from Ipswich (01 August 2015)

Fantastic holiday and the gentleman on site who greeted us on arrival and throughout the week was a star brilliant at looking after guests and the park would highly recommend
Carolyn from South Cerney (31 July 2015)

Lovely lodges and friendly helpful staff, location just a bit too remote.
Gavin (25 July 2015)

We had a wonderful holiday. The boys loved the large football field in front of the house and the opportunity to unwind in your own private hottub is amazing.
Carolien from Wassenaar, The Netherlands (25 July 2015)

Was a little bit far to travel for a shop.
Kelly from Sheffield (25 July 2015)

Beautiful lodge, staff very friendly and helpful I would stay here again.
Stacie (24 July 2015)

On arrival at the holiday site you see the reception which is full of information about the local area. The lodges are arranged in an inner and outer circle all surrounding a large well mown green area. All of the lodges have use of this field area which is great for social activities with our young family. There are lots of trees too and wildlife, birds, butterflies and squirrels. Each lodge has its own decking and private hot tub. The lodges were not over looked or situated to close together unlike some other parks. We were arriving late on check in day and having phoned andrew at the park all arrival plans were sorted and he could not have been more helpful and accommodating during our stay. If you are after a lovely, quite, well maintained holiday site and an amazing, relaxing lodge with great staff, this is the place for you.
Greg from Torquay (20 July 2015)

Would have been an ideal relaxing holiday if we hadn't been sited next to a lodge with two extremely loud and noisy children who thought their hot tub was a swimming pool and was in it from the crack of dawn till the evening. Shame it was virtually under our bedroom window. We chose this site and booked outside of the school holidays specifically for a peaceful break. Unfortunately we didn't get one!
Jeffrey (18 July 2015)

Had a lovely time. Stayed in roadford lodge , beautiful lodge, cosy and comfortable with lovely hot tub that was checked twice a day. the only thing is, is that it is miles away from anywhere, the middle of nowhere, had to travel a minimum of half an hour to a shop. however, for a romantic break this lodge is a must! . for a family holiday is still great, but just be prepared to travel! . all in all a gorgeous lodge in a very secluded location. Had a lovely time.
Emma from Coleford, Gloucestershire (18 July 2015)

Staff were helpful and polite. The location is a little in the middle of no where so you do need a car in order to reach local towns etc but so much is within 40mins to an hour. In one week we managed to visit exeter, bude, croyde, the big sheep and padstow all with a toddler in tow so its very manageable. Would def stay again.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (18 July 2015)

Absolutely stunning can not wait to return one of the nicest places we have stayed
Customer 138 from Bridgwater (13 July 2015)

Lovely get away can't wait to go back
Nicholas (13 July 2015)

Quiet location with not many lodges. Park had lots of open space and the lodge was well furnished. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Jasbinder (11 July 2015)

Stayed in lodge 3, was very nice and clean! very well decorated and lots of space. Hot tub was great aswell!. the only thing wrong with the lodge was the hoover we were provided was broken (it was taped together but the tape had ripped off) which wasnt too much of a problem. . we never actually met any of the staff as when we got there, there was a letter on the board for me saying the keys were in the door, then I dropped my forms to the reception and saw no one there. At the end of our stay we dropped our keys into the box so didnt speak to any staff. In the middle of nowhere but if you have a car its not a problem. Overall great holiday and if you're thinking of going here I do recommend but only if you want a relaxing holiday or have a car to drive to places.
Kaylee from Bath (10 July 2015)

Lovely lodge plenty of room . but double bed very very uncomfortable
Diane from Cheltenham (06 July 2015)

Lovely clean lodge, hot tub fantastic and helpful friendly staff.
Alison from Cheltenham (06 July 2015)

Very relaxing and peaceful :)
Ami from Dudley (04 July 2015)

Quiet, picturesque and comfortable. If you want to properly recharge your batteries, there's no better way than a lodge!
Martin from Nuneaton (29 June 2015)

Lovely location helpful staff
Janet from Ipswich (27 June 2015)

The holiday was amazing! definitely need a car to get about though. Highly recommend the lodges with the hot tubs they are sooooo relaxing. Also suggest you go to widemouth beach which was also spectacular. Enjoy your stay. I know we did!!! xxx
Aisha from Colchester Essex (26 June 2015)

Excellent base for a relaxing holiday in modern luxury accommodation. . slightly remote location, but if peace and quiet is what you're looking for, then this is ideal. . . all facilities within the lodge including furnishings / whirlpool bath / showers / jacuzzi (& added bonus of a sauna) were first class. . some of the outdoor seating needed replacing, but overall no complaints. . would definitely recommend!!
Lee from Derbyshire (20 June 2015)

Absolutely amazing! staff were friendly, lodge was immaculate and the hot tub was lush too. Definitely be returning soon
Teresa from Rhondda Cynon Taff (15 June 2015)

Lovely and peacefull the hot tub was a bonus. Will be going back
Sarah from Thornbury (15 June 2015)
