We loved it and will be back! only comments would be to invest in more outdoor lighting around cabin and wifi extender.
Emma from Aberdeen (09 September 2018)

We were charged almost £400 for 2 nights, then extra for towels and electricity. After staying at the log cabins and due to the lack of facilities we felt that this does not represent value for money and would not return. Furniture was not the best quality although the leather settees were of decent quality. The room with the bunk beds was clearly designed for younger children and 2 adults could not sleep there comfortably. At no time did we see anyone from the company managing the site although mobile phone numbers were left should we have any questions.
Susan from Dundee (01 September 2018)

Great position right on river but pity about noisy motorbikes and cars on road at nights
Michael from Dundee (27 August 2018)

A beautiful cabin in a fantastic setting, with a fabulously relaxing hot-tub! only downside was the 'left to your own devices' aspect of checking in, which necessitated help from some other holidaymakers who were fortunately sat near the entrance when we arrived. The lack of wi-fi was also a problem with teenagers, though you could get wi-fi if you sat near the entrance. If you want somewhere picturesque to get away from it all, yet within easy driving distance from shops etc, this is a wonderful place. I would come again, but it is possibly more of an adult retreat than a place to take children or teenagers.
Carol from Eastleigh, Hants (18 August 2018)

Great cottages, only wish there were cottages that were pet free. We had a lot of dog hair and smell.
Michel (28 July 2018)

The site was completely unmanned. It was off a main road and there was a lot of traffic noise. No information or local knowledge available just an emergency contact number and it was very remote. We left a day early!
Sharon from Telford (21 July 2018)

Nice clean cabin with good facilities ( quite short on teaspoons ) good location for travelling, if you’re a an angler quite close to loch earn. Not much to do at the site. Good for relaxing, well. If you can turn your mind off the whoosh of traffic at the rear.worth remembering keep you eye on children and dogs. No gate to stop accidents happening. But dogs should be on leads. Steel steps from deck area quite steep and can be tricky going down. Would be nice to have a bbq stand as bbq’s not allowed on grass. Which you can understand why, burnt grass patches would spoil the ambiance. All said and done I enjoyed my stay here. Would come back.
James from Ayrshire (20 July 2018)

Waking up in the morning to the ducks on the river and the birds singing was amazing. There is only six cabins, 2 with hot tubs. The staff that we meet were really friendly, and the dog loved dunria estate. Not to mention the eagle that we seen at the cottage just along from the cabin. A lovely area highly recommend for a break away from city life.
Laura (06 July 2018)

Fantastic location. Very peaceful and relaxing. Lodge is lovely and has everything you need.
Anne from Glasgow (21 June 2018)

I've booked up for next year.beautiful place and the cabins are superb. .location is secluded and so tranquil. .definitely recommend this place
Bev from Middlesbrough (08 June 2018)

Lovely setting right opposite the river and fields, unfortunately quite close to a busy road at the rear of the cabins, so can be noisy during the day. Proper log cabins in the process of being upgraded so nice bathrooms and kitchens and the hot tub was glorious. Nice little office with lots of games and dvd's to borrow. Good location near to crieff, animal park and perth. Well stocked with towels, robs etc. Electricity is by honesty box. Some people did have pets with them but this wasn't problem in any way. If you want a very small site (6 cabins) in a rural location with a babbling river then this is a great spot.
Lynn from Argyll (28 May 2018)

Great place to stay, within easy driving distance of many lovely places. great if you like wildlife. a bit close to main road if you have a dog. but very close to plenty of places that your pet can be taken walking. So not really a problem.w
Peter from Herefordshire (19 May 2018)

Beautiful cabin, lovely area, lots of wild life to enjoy.
Rosemary from Cheltenham (19 May 2018)

Absolutely fantastic .. can't recommend it enough staff explained everything. Beautiful
Annette from Sunderland (14 May 2018)

The cabin is in a nice setting but with it being one of the coldest weekends of the year and having no fire in the living room we were frozen the whole weekend. The wifi did not work at all either.
Anne Marie from Coatbridge (18 March 2018)

There was 6 of us in cabin 5 over a long weekend (3 nights). we all really enjoyed this getaway and personally it has been one of my favourite places to visit. The cabin is well equipped, maintained and spacious enough considering we were a party of 6 adults. We had everything we needed cleaning and cooking wise; plenty for 6 people. They also leave a welcome pack which includes some extra bits like dish washer tablets and bin bags that you don't normally get. . the double room and twin room are well sized with more than enough space. The bunk bed room is smaller with less space but absolutely fine for adults and children, our party had no complaints. The bathroom is well sized with a walk in shower which is nice. There is also an open plan living and kitchen area with double doors leading to the decking. The decking is lovely and spacious with a large picnic table, garden seats and the hot tub. The hosts have also equipped the cabin with a 6 berth hot tub which is nice to see, especially since anywhere else I have been you get a 4 berth. . the hosts are very attentive and I don't think they could have been any more helpful whilst we were there. They visited us 2 of the days to clean and check the hot tub and also to help with our queries. . we can't comment on the surroundings as we didn't leave the cabin/ river area. . if you want a quiet, peaceful and relaxing break, I think it is definitely worth a visit. Thank you to both colin and his wife for a great stay.
Vahri from Glasgow (12 March 2018)

Lovely remote lodges - staff were lovely and very helpful, couldn’t accommodate us more - quite remote and our the way which is exactly what we were looking for, views are fab and the walks through the woods with the dogs totally worthwhile - hot tub lodges beside us looked lovely but just out of our price range which was a pity as that would have been a bonus
Pauline from Larkhall (12 March 2018)

Had a great time at riverside, the lodges were very clean, cosy and value for money, the surrounding area is beautiful and would recommend to anyone for a get away break
Gary from Nottingham (18 February 2018)

Only reason for the score of helpful of staff is there was no one on site and I didn't want to give a bad review as there was no one needed

Richard from Hertford (24 September 2016)

Lodge was very comfortable, would have been nice to have a proper bbq. also when . arriving sign could not ne seen clearly so we missed it first time. I could not really comment on helpfulness of staff, as we dis not see any, only becuause . we arrived around 6.45pm and left about 9.30am so they may not have been on site, but we . had no issues. Would re book again as location was great for visiting local areas.
Amanda from Aberdeen (11 September 2016)

Very good
Anant from London Harrow (17 June 2016)

We had an amazing time at riverside log cabins. We came for 4 days and brought our dog with us for some countryside walking and it was absolutely perfect. The cabin itself exceeding our expectations in every way. It was very clean and the rooms very spacious. There were so many kitchen utensils already inside and a very large tv which we weren't expecting. Inside the cabin there are many little touches which totally made our holiday. It's the little details that count and we had a great time.
David from Preston (10 June 2016)

We had a lovely time at dunira. The beautiful nature and the quietness is great. Our children and grandchildren had the best holiday ever!! thank you so much!
Betty from Akersloot, The Netherlands (07 May 2016)

Cabin was clean and tidy , could be doing with a little tlc in some areas (door handle secured with tape. we reported a hole in a bedroom floor) we understand the site is under new owners who are upgrading as they go along. all the cabins face the river and hills lovely views, spoiled only by the busy and noisey main road to the back of the cabins. . cabins are large and easily sleep a family of 6,
Linzi (22 April 2016)

The lodge was really clean and in a lovely quiet setting. we didn't encounter any staff, except for the third party laundry service but they were very pleasant and friendly. it was the perfect base for exploring the area and mid way between crieff and killin. The walks on the estate across the road were excellent and ideal for a stroll with the dog after dinner. would definitely return here if I was visiting the area again.
Nichola from Aberdeen (17 April 2016)

Ideal location to visit glens around comrie and crief. killin is a short drive away. there is an adequate dog walk opposite the site. only draw back due to the closeness of the river with birch trees around and close to forests - birth fly and the mighty midge.
Irvine from Newport-On-Tay (18 March 2016)

Had a great stay at the riverside lodge, arrived early but was still made welcome by the staff.also met the owner [colin] who was very friendly and made me feel very welcome.i hope to return next year. P.s. Colin please can you contact me at some point so I may speak with you !
Andrew (28 November 2015)

Great holiday. Cabin immaculate. Had every thing we needed for a comfortable stay. Very peaceful.
Laura from Fife (06 November 2015)

Very nice real log cabin. Lovely outlook with the river in front of the cabin. we had pheasants and ducks visit us.
Michelle from St Helens (01 November 2015)

Didnt see staff at all - was expected to read my name on a board, work out location of my allocated cabin by myself and also where to park. All electricity was paid extra - welcoming lights had been put on the day before so I was expected to pay for what I hadnt even used!. outlook over the river was nice, but cabin was very dark and chilly and hard and expensive to heat with just electric storage radiators. Would have appreciated extra blankets for the beds. . was instructed to put our rubbish in recycling bins but had difficulty understanding their complicated system with loads and lots of boxes!. would have appreciated being told there was no shops or food places within 5 miles. Location very near main road and lots of road noise at night
Christine from Letham Angus (04 October 2015)

This accommodation was of a very high standard, very well equipped and in a beautiful setting.
Linda from Thirsk (16 September 2015)

Excellent location lodge was clean and the facilities were good , all staff were very helpful
Peter from Manchester (29 August 2015)

Spent just the 3 nights at these great log cabins..but it was a fantastic time!!. . it was clean, friendly, comfortable and perfect for getting away from it all!!. . highly recommend visiting here to anyone who enjoys a friendly welcome followed by a comfy and relaxing holiday!. . hope to visit again....and not just because my wee girl is missing the rope swing over the stream!!. . many thanks for a brilliant holiday!!
Magnus from Glenrothes (16 July 2015)

Had a great time, lovely cabin and garden area, nice and quiet
Clare from Livingston (04 July 2015)

Nice location but next to a very busy road and limited access to walking close by unless you risk the traffic. The river is rather idyllic and the cabins are nice inside. No access to mobile phone internet and the wifi on site doesn't cover the site very well at all. Overall it was a nice holiday. Very peaceful and private.
Simon from Newcastle (29 May 2015)

There were only 6 cabins on site, so was a quiet and peaceful break which was what we wanted. the cabin itself was beautiful, big, clean. I love the refurbished bathroom. Was a nice touch having decking at the front looking onto the river earn. Meant even when slightly raining we could sit outside reading a book. I also enjoyed sitting on the rocks next to the river. If it was a very hot sunny day. I believe I would have been in the water. . the cabins are situated in between st fillans and comrie. So was easy to get to various places. I advise going to comrie, there is a long walk which takes you up to diels cauldron waterfalls. Also in the other direction towards lochearnhead, you can travel to killin, you will see waterfalls there also.
Nicole from Coatbridge (16 May 2015)

We had a lovely stay at the riverside log cabins. the staff could not have been more helpful both on our arrival and our departure. we would definitely chose riverside log cabins again.
Kim from Glamis (07 May 2015)

Spent 4 days here. A nice authentic log cabin. The best thing was the location. The patio doors of the cabin open up right onto the river. We even loved the ducks chapping our door to get in!
Fiona (15 April 2015)

Very peaceful and relaxing site. . need a car to explore the surrounding area.
Ellen from Motherwell (06 April 2015)

Lodge was comfortable but in need of a make over having spoken to new owner I believe this is going to happen quite soon if so will visit again
David from Livingston West Lothain (26 March 2015)

Really nice lodges and with the new bathrooms being installed they will be even better.
David from Leven (19 March 2015)

Excellent pet friendly environment in a stunning location. The log cabins are excellent value for money and amply spacious with all of the appliances you need. Ours was very clean and everything functioning perfectly. Being pet friendly was a huge advantage to us and the beautiful outdoor space against the river is ideal. The location is perfect for those who love the great outdoors. There are many walks and cycles on your doorstep and you're reasonably close to many tourist areas should you wish to visit.
Antony from East Lothian (22 February 2015)

Never met any staff. Phoned to report that shower didn't work. Was told that message would be sent to new owner to call me. Still waiting for that call. Family of five with no shower is no fun! there was a bath but had to wait an hour between each bath for water to heat. We stayed for four nights!.
Kathleen from Glasgow (11 February 2015)

Bathroom in cabin 5 was really dirty and in need of an upgrade, wifi access only went to cabin 3 which was really annoying especially in such a small area! paying for electricity when you have already paid rent was poor also and it is quite expensive 28 pound for 3 days
Sharon (10 February 2015)

Lovely place to stay however never seen a member of staff until the day we were leaving. Tried to charge me £35 in electricity for 4 days. My house is all electric and I only pay £40 per week. On speaking to a member of staff they sorted it out. Thatt was the only problem we had but apart from this we had s great time.
Lynn from Edinburgh (21 October 2014)

I would stay at riverside again. However being charged for electricity and £0.12 per unit was a bit of a surprise as nothing was mentioned.
Lee from Bo'Ness (05 October 2014)

Best break in years! the location of the cabins between st fillans on loch earn & comrie is perfect - the surrounding areas are so beautiful, and the people so friendly. We also loved staying by the river, the girls could paddle in their willies and play on the rope swing and the ducks would come to the log cabin looking for breakfast!
Sharon from Rossendale (31 August 2014)

Lovely setting by the river. Unlike some we didn't find the road to be noisy. Lovely to hear the river while drinking morning coffee.
Andrea from Paignton. Devon (09 August 2014)

A tiny, quiet park next to a beautiful river. Just off the main road so easy to find but some road noise from bedroom at front of cabin. Small reception hut with washing machine, videos and books to borrow and local info.
Joanne from Wells (02 August 2014)

We enjoyed our break. The location was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The cabin was clean but lacked a few kitchen essentials. Some of the other holiday makers were rude and caused unnecessary friction as our dog was a litttle boisterous. A gate for the decking would have helped.
Pete from Aberdeen (20 June 2014)

Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this, thank you
Fiona from St Combs/Fraserburgh (17 June 2014)

It feels wrong giving this place such a low overall score as the area and surroundings are stunning but what you don't see in the photos or even on google maps is that it is in fact right next to a main road, a busy main road at that!! it's not a problem during the day as you are out or even in the evening as the living room is at the other side of the cabin but at 0400 in the morning ( every morning ) when the traffic starts, it's really not funny!!!!
Kirsty from Montrose (12 June 2014)

Very beautiful peaceful quiet
Mary from Glasgow (06 June 2014)

Very peaceful surroundings - a place to go to get away from it all.
Lisa from Stockport (01 June 2014)

Directions were poor, lodge nice, beautiful scenery bit remote transport needed or really good for walking
James from Paisley (09 May 2014)

Nice beside the river but too near the road, noisy at times. The tumble dryer broke although was fixed fairly quickly. Lovely area. Information was not up to date-we were looking forward to having a bbq but couldn't find our one (as described in the information)then was told they didn't do them anymore! did enjoy the week but should have been about £400 not £600. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Stella from Ellon Aberdeenshire (19 April 2014)

We all really enjoyed our time away.
Mark from Innerleithen (14 April 2014)

Very nice scenic and clean cabin, ideal for touring or just relaxing,we enjoyed our stay as did our dog.the only gripe was it was a bit close to the busy a85 and was a bit noisy through the day but fine at night.
Gary from Kinglassie (13 March 2014)

Great holiday we all enjoyed it. Fantastic scenery, wildlife and walks all around.
Andrew from Pontefract (22 February 2014)

Nice place but right next to busy road with no pavement to walk on.
Catherine (12 February 2014)

Location was lovely. staff were very helpful. The location is ideal for surrounding towns and villages and there is plenty to do within the local area. nice and peaceful.
Margaret from Ayrshire (19 October 2012)

Trout jumping out of the river right next to the cabin; kids loved it, fish polished off a whole loaf of bread. Can't wait to return to river earn to fish next season. 2 minutes walk to endless rambling beautiful forest; with guaranteed deer to be spotted. Deep in forest, at top of hill, heard the majestic swish of golden eagles wings before it sailed above me in clearing. Cabins are excellent also, clean, comfortable and tidy.
Steven from Edinburgh (17 October 2012)

Lovely surroundings and cabin had everything we wanted.
Ruth from Clovenfords (14 September 2012)

We returned home to Norwich yesterday after spending a week at the Riverside Log Cabins. Glenn and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at the cabin. We were close to the river which was magical listening to the water and our dogs went swimming in the river daily. Glenn particularly enjoyed the fishing. The cabin was fully equipped, comfortable, warm and clean. We had a family gathering on the last evening and a good time was had by all. Jim Bradley and his son were very friendly and informative particularly with local information regarding local restaurants (Four Seasons) the food there was superb, places to visit and local walks. We had a very relaxing holiday and would most certainly highly recommend a holiday here. We intend to visit this location in the very near future. Carol Duncan & Glenn Bradly North Norfolk, Norwich.
Mr B from Bacton (30 June 2012)

This was the best holiday that we have experienced in Scotland. The people were so friendly and helpful during our stay, we would highly recommend the Riverside Log Cabins.

Gillian from Airdrie (19 March 2012)

Comfy and relaxing with beautiful scenery ideal for chilling-out. Surrounded by quaint little villages like St Fillans, Comrie and fantastic 9 hole golf courses.
Mr I from Edinburgh (02 May 2011)

This log cabin was excellent and so close to the river which allowed me to get fishing everyday. The walks in the area are lovely and the staff at site where ever so helpful and pleasant.
