Beautiful lodge in a location that was perfect
Debra from Clacton-On-Sea (31 August 2018)

We would go back to this site but not that cabin. The bed was very unconformable and the hot tub wasn't the cleanest.
Stephen from Doncaster (27 August 2018)

Great location.
Barry from Kent (17 August 2018)

Lovely lodge with plenty of space. very quiet location. limited cooking space in the oven when feeding a family. Lighting in the lounge not good difficult to see to do jigsaw or any craft work. outdoor seating great for family meals.
Carole (10 August 2018)

The lodge was large, spacious with some high spec finishes. Lovely decking area and hot tub.
Janette (03 August 2018)

It is very remote and the main road does not have a footpath so be prepared to drive. Amazing setting. Very quiet and private. Lodge had everything we needed. It was clean. Would love to have stayed longer.
Debbie (03 August 2018)

Great cabins..shame the cleaning not up to standed..as wife needed to clean lamps over the units full of dust and grease.dust in all the places above eye level.
Roy from Derby (27 July 2018)

A few of us went for my 40th birthday celebrations, the place and lodge were beautiful but the hot tub was dirty and had a funny smell, the staff weren’t exactly friendly or helpful, they had a private function on , on the saturday so all the bar and restaurant were closed to the guests which we weren’t informed about, so that was quite annoying as we wanted to get drinks on the afternoon. There were no staff there in departure so had to give the key to the cleaner , just thought the staff were unprofessional, unwelcoming and unhelpful. . shame as the lodge and surroundings were beautiful just the hot tub and staff that let the whole experience down.
Sarah from West Midlands (09 July 2018)

We were very impressed with oakbridge lodge, it was spacious and well equipped and great for a family of 5 adults. The lodge itself was situated on a green area behind the redbrick hotel which had formerly been a caravan park, remnants of this still remain. The site was not cramped with plenty of space between the 5 lodges. Although the site is big enough for a short stroll if you wanted a longer walk you need to go off site. Our main concern was that visitors were not allowed as we had arranged to meet a friend while we were on holiday. This was not highlighted on the booking agents website and we were not made aware of it until we checked in and it did cause some problems. Only because of this we would probably not choose to visit here again.
Mark from Norwich (06 July 2018)

Perfect lodge for a couple and dog very peaceful and relaxing
Leanne (29 June 2018)

I have marked the facilities with a 10 because all we wanted was a restaurant & bar on site. There is nothing else on site. So not really suitable for children.
Michelle from Littlehampton (25 May 2018)

Enjoyed thoroughly
Sarah from Pontefract (21 May 2018)

Philip from Conisbrough (11 May 2018)

Melanie from Cambridge (04 May 2018)

Loved it can't wait to return. situated in a very peaceful area. Great to recharge your batteries. restaurant really good.
Christine (30 April 2018)

The lodge and hot tub were lovely, although we had several issues with the showers and hot water after sending the maintenance man out who made the situation worse resulting us having to use the hotel on site shower. Staff were apologetic and offered drinks at the restaurant where we had a table reserved for that evening.
Lisa from Oldham (30 April 2018)

Nice place, excellent lodges, helpful staff, decent grub, only gripe is that hot tubs should have been a bit cleaner.
Richard from Hinckley (26 March 2018)

We’d been spoilt and stayed in oakridge lodge the year before which is much more spacious. Moshannon was nice, sleeps 6 but much smaller. Not much work surface when cooking, some problems with shower leaking, and other shower water too hot. Some loud noises from the pipes when using the toilet. Overall had a lovely weekend, food fabulous at redbrick house as always.
Louise (12 March 2018)

We stayed in the chestnut lodge from friday to monday. the accommodation was lovely, it was also a small woodland environment that was very peaceful, perfect for a relaxing time. . . we were disappointed when we checked the finer details that check in wasn't until 4pm, I rang to see if we could check in earlier and we couldn't, also checkout was 10am on the day of leaving, so packing everything back up controls your last night. the accommodation really is lovely, it was however very hot and the thermostat on the wall didn't work. if you are planning on cooking your own food which we did, the oven and hob take an age to warm up. they are both electric which I have at home but mine is so much faster. . . the hot tub we had was lovely, but the garden area was just leaves and moss so the dog wasn't that happy, good job sherwood forest was nearby and he could take advantage of it. . . there's not a massive amount to do locally so it really is a chill out kind of place.

Stayed in chestnut cabin romantic break for two. Dog friendly, enclosed garden and hot tub. Fully equipped . staff welcoming and friendly. relaxing break with sherwood forest and edwinstowe 4 minutes away. Lovely walks. would definitely recommend. Restaurant on site too
Debra from Doncaster (30 December 2017)

Found the lodge in an exquisite location ,an exclusive property as requested. The logs and fire were a lovely touch along with the xmas tree which was a really fabulous touch!!. my mum is fetting over radiotherapy so was a massive lift for her to see the tree!. the only negatives were:the water was scolding hot in upstairs shower whilst the kitchen tap was being used at the same time.this could be dangerous as I did slightly burn myself. The sign for the outdoor hot tub relating to ice warning on decking was on the rear on walking instead of ahead accidents could already have occured. The hot tub drained itself of water we attempted to call twice to the main reception to inform but unable to get a response. Overall we loved the break and will definately return to lakeview lodge.

We stayed at the lakeview lodge from 18th to 22nd december 2017. . the lodge was positioned lovely overlooking the duck pond and countryside. . the lodge itself was stunning, very big with a lovely deck that had outdoor seating areas and of course the hottub which was very well maintained and a fab bit of luxury! they put us up a christmas tree which was a lovely touch!. the various indoor and outdoor lighting was well thought out. If you are going out and it will be dark upon your return, definitely leave the outside lights on as its pitch black at night! good wifi and freeview signal at all times. . you can get here without a car; it’s not far from mansfield woodhouse train station, about £7 in a taxi. There are no walks on the site nor are the nearby walks reachable without a car as the road is very busy. We got taxis to sherwood forest and edwinstowe…both great places to visit and again not much in a taxi. A heads up – book taxis well in advance as they are limited! . a couple of disappointments…the beds, we tried sleeping in both and they are sooooo uncomfortable…hardly slept which isn’t good as we were meant to be recharging our batteries! these really need changing asap. . the fridge is very loud which gets annoying as you can’t escape it if you’re in the main living area. . the downstairs shower is a beast with jets all over, rainfall heads, lights, steam etc. However not much of it actually works. This could do with replacing for a normal shower. . the underfloor heating was a dream, central heating was controllable room by room and the log burner was lovely; you only get enough logs, paper etc for one fire. The entire lodge was always warm and cosy!. the hotel is a 5 mins walk from the lodges and has restaurant / bar. We had dinner here once…the food was great and reasonable price! the staff members were all nice and welcoming but the gold star goes to didi the hotel cat – gorgeous! . overall we enjoyed our time here albeit low on energy!. we would love to come back but only if those beds were changed…they really are that bad!
Debbie from Nottingham (22 December 2017)

The lodge itself is just lovely with the vaulted ceilings and impressive space. It has everything you need for a relaxing break with the family or friends and is one of the best I have personally visited. The site is small with limited facilities but it depends on what you want, it wasn't a negative for us. We visited the on-site restaurant for drinks and a sunday roast which was good. Overall, a fabulous lodge that we will certainly return to in the future.

Wonderful location. So peaceful. Sherwood forest on the doorstep. Far greater value than other lodge locations nearby. As a get away from it all self catering lodge it’s perfect. Booked again for next year which will be our third year in a row.

Beds was extremely uncomfatable to the point of having bad back you could feel springs in your back and suppose to be an autograph lodge. Also master bedroom has large steam shower room. It didn't work, informed staff and they said they knew about it and it hasn't worked for a long time. This is unacceptable we wasn't informed if this.
Tracey from Hull (03 November 2017)

The location was too remote and on site facility restaurant was not dog friendly.
Jo from Leicestershire (03 November 2017)

Everything was almost perfect. The bits that let it down were the sagging arm on the soafa - the tv is not hd and the position of the hot tub(could be a bit more private by moving it along the decking. Saying all that we would stay again but in one of the other lodges.

We stayed in the sherwood lodge and it was lovely. Great, quiet surroundings and the lodge was clean & spacious. Would have been ideal to have had a washing machine for our week stay. Plenty of towels & beds made on arrival. Kids loved hot tub.
Zoe from Kent (27 October 2017)

Had the most relaxing and chilled break staying in the moshannon lodge. This is a spacious well equipped traditional style lodge. Was clean and well maintained. Check in was very easy with a lovely friendly receptionist who explained everything very clearly and gave us plenty of information. This lodge suited our needs perfectly with free wifi and a hot tub for the teenagers and enclosed porch and plenty of forest walks for the dogs. The surroundings were lovely and peaceful and we didn't notice other guests in the other lodges as it was very private. The hot tub was a brilliant bonus and we loved it so much here that we have booked again for next year!
Amanda from Oswestry (27 October 2017)

Very spacious in all rooms, warm and comfortable and after a good walk the hot tub is priceless. On site food at pub is excellent value for money and generous portions. On a few issue, few more trays for the oven and sofa / bed mattress could do with an update. I have recommended the site to friends

Rude staff and poor customer service.
Hayley from South Yorkshire (09 October 2017)

We stayed here for our first wedding anniversary & it was perfect! I have recommended to friends & family who want quality time alone in beautiful surroundings & on our way home we rebooked for next year! we didn't plan on doing much outside of the lodge & we didn't need to- we tried the food at the restaurant the first night & went back for the next two - highly recommended! the staff heard it was our anniversary & decorated the table when we went for our anniversary meal- very kind welcoming staff & a credit to the venue. Can't wait for next year.. loved the hot tub & beautiful views

Great lodges in a fabulous woodland setting, plenty of space and privacy (which we were worried might not be the case). . . easy access to sherwood forest .. although a little bit close to mansfield (<1 mile) which meant the main road nearby became quite loud in the evening with cars and motorbikes using it as race track!. . the staff in redbrick house were particular good and very helpful, we arrived late on friday night but it wasn't a problem for the team. . sunday lunch in the restaurant was pleasant too.
Darren from Bedford (25 September 2017)

Lovely lodge. We really enjoyed the log burner and hot tub. Would definitely go back! a great place to relax with friends.

Belinda from Essex (22 September 2017)

Been to redbrick 4 times stayed in all the lodges every one is brilliant and the food in the hotel is first class staff always friendly and always got in early so can't complain about a thing
Philip from Spalding (22 September 2017)

Was better than I thought it was going to be after reading some reviews. Stayed in chestnut perfect size for 2. Comfy bed. Table looks small but it extends. Garden is a forest garden and was nice sitting in tub watching squirrels.

We had a fabulous girlie weekend , loved the lodge and the facilities. Booked again for next year.
Lynn from Ollerton (11 September 2017)

Lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. Shame the hot tub wasn't working or fixed while we were there but we were provided with a lazy spa as a temporary replacement. We had fresh towels through out the week! when we discovered the oven didn't work on our last night there, we reported it approximately 7.30pm (we'd just got back from a long day out sight seeing) the lady on the reception said they could send a maintenance man which could take up to an hour. We said don't worry as it's late and we're leaving tomorrow anyway. After 10 minutes they rang us back and said we could pick a meal from their restaurant which would be on the house! when we mentioned we had a dog so couldn't eat inside they said no problem they'll get the chief to prepare it so we could take it back to the lodge with us! very impressed and happy with the service :)
Amanda from Kent (08 September 2017)

Rude staff. Old furniture. Watched on cctv. Give you any excuse to keep your deposit (if you leave dirty pots!). have to pay £25 per 'visiter'
Jess (08 September 2017)

Great place to relax and enjoy sherwood forest
Samantha from Doncaster (01 September 2017)

Beautiful lodge, great surroundings, very peaceful and highly recommend.
Jason (25 August 2017)

Nice lodge and hot top great. Beds needs to be updated as could feel springs. Lovely surroundings but don't tend to go back to same place.
Graham from Fareham (25 August 2017)

Fantastic from start to finish. Great location bang in the middle of loads of places to visit and activity places. The accommodation feels so spacious and the lodges are spaced out so we didn't hear any sounds from other lodges. With the trees and positioning the lodge felt very private.
Steven from Leeds (18 August 2017)

We loved our holiday so much we can't wait to book again
Tracy from Southend (18 August 2017)

Excellent all round , a perfect peaceful holiday which the kids loved. Lodge was absolutely amazing .
Robert (14 August 2017)

Stayed at the oakridge lodge with grown-up family for a mon-fri break at the end of july. the lodge had plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of one another but a good social space non the less. The hot tub was a welcome treat after a day of mountain biking in nearby sherwood pines (apprx 3 miles away). the only down side was the lack of a washing machine.
Helen (04 August 2017)

Good
Lee (31 July 2017)

Lovely lodge and surroundings. Lots to do in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Charmaine from Ely Cambridgeshire (31 July 2017)

Excellent..a perfect way to spend our silver wedding anniversary.
Andrew from West Cowick (21 July 2017)

Third visit in 13 months but this visit the lodge wasn't as clean as it should have been , there was dead moths in the widow sill dirt on the living room floor very peaceful and relaxing place to go staff very friendly food in the restaurant very nice but don't go to clean up,also when leaving security deposit wasn't told that you have to wait 3 days to deposit back, the last two times we stayed in the lodge the deposit was put back in our account in a matter of a few hours so this visit wasent as nice as the last two breaks we had also can you tell me why we pay for 4 days and only get 3 full days as we are not allowed in the cabin till 4 pm that's half the day over which we have paid for and we no as matter of fact the cleaners go in the cabins at 10 am because we was waiting for our lift home and our lift was running late so we saw the cleaners going in the cabins at 10 am it doesn't take two cleaners in each cabin 6 hours to clean them .so can you please tell me why the paying customer has to wait till 4 pm to go in the cabins that is half the day gone which the customer as paid for so why carnt the time be changed to either 1pm or 2 pm,its not nice paying for 4 days when you don't get 4 days and nights it's a lot of money to be losing out on a day you paid for and don't get in my opinion 4 pm is very late .
Paul from Sutton-In-Ashfield (14 July 2017)

Great place to stay and explore nottingham and sherwood forest
Mike (14 July 2017)

Lovely quiet surroundings and very well finished lodge - not much to do in the area when the weather is bad as was the case with us. Very helpful staff.
Ian from Belfast (30 June 2017)

On arriving at the cabin we were told we had to pay a £50 deposit! I was not aware of this on booking. Once paid we were directed to our cabin... congratulations to the person who took the photos, you have great photoshop skills. The cabin was extremely small! . I am paying slightly more for 7 nights over christmas in a much better cabin with better facilities!! . the hot tub was cleaned once while we were there! . I wouldn't stay here again!
Amy from Ipswich (30 June 2017)

Excellent location perfect peace and quiet
John from Rugby (23 June 2017)

Lovely lodge wonderful surroundings only problem we had we felt the mattress in the upstairs room was ready for being replaced other than that we had such a lovely time we booked it agin for next year before we left
Julie from Glasgow (23 June 2017)

Lovely quiet location, if you want peace and relaxation it's ideal.
Carol from Leeds (05 June 2017)

Wonderful lodge stay, the lodge was beautiful with a fantastic view over a pond where we got to feed some ducklings every morning. Would highly recommend, we'll be back!
Jenna from Lancaster (26 May 2017)

Loved redbrick holiday lodges, good location, clean accommodation. sofa could have been a little comfier but not a deal breaker, the bed more than made up for it, amazingly comfy. hot tub and private garden was perfect, staff were helpful too. we are already thinking of when we might be able to return.
Lyndsay from Rotherham (22 May 2017)

Beautiful lodge. Beautiful location. Very friendly helpfull staff. Fantastic sunday roast in the restaurant. Would highly recommend. Perfect get away with the girls.
Charlotte from Bedford (15 May 2017)

Absolutely perfect place for a weekend get away. Lodge was fantastic and very well equipped. Hot tub was pure bliss. If you want a wonder out there is few nice pubs in warsop. Definitely returning in the near future.
Stuart from Doncaster (15 May 2017)

The lodge we stayed in was fantastic and the staff were great, . . would recommend and are looking to book again
Christopher (12 May 2017)

I had a lovely goliday away at the redbrick lodges
Olivia from Sheffield (08 May 2017)

The only that let it down was that massive shower/steam room down stairs bedroom didn't fully work and no tvs in bedrooms. But overal was great.
Nicole from York (05 May 2017)
