The outside of the lodges and park were poorly maintained, which made it look scruffy and untidy. Inside the cabins need updating old tired furniture. On the surface looks clean but not at all.
Francis (09 September 2018)

Over priced tatty accomodation too many rules big list of breakages charges and other charges not worth the money at all.
Zoe (05 September 2018)

Had a really lovely time here, beautiful lodge amazing hot tub. No phone signal, just what we required
Angela (05 September 2018)

The lodge was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children and staff were superb too! very happy and hope to return
Ruby (04 September 2018)

Absolutely loved it, quiet and loved the hot tub!
Adam (27 August 2018)

Quarry walk lodges are in the middle of no where to get to and all the lodges are located in a dip. If you want to use wifi think again, we were charged £12 to use it and only got 1 days use out of it even though we had 2-3 bar signal most of the wifi did not work which is annoying after you have just spent 12 pounds. . the lodges are about 6 miles from alton towers so ideal location if you want to visit. . the fox cub lodge was nice but basic it had a hot tub which was nice and relaxing on the decking. But as I said no wifi signal. There is an one site shop with a few basics so would recommend you use a local supermarket such as morrison's or asda in cheadle. if you enjoy meals out use the master potter pub in cheadle it's similar to wetherspoons and alot cheaper than pubs near the lodges. we also found a chinese takeaway in cheadle which I would recommend but can't remember it's name.
Lynn from Sunderland (24 August 2018)

Had a great time but I was told I could have got 3nights stay for same price but dud to the way they book they could only manage 2 nights and could not refund me anything. Also the wi-fi was not free which is the least you expect. I was told that I would be able to purchase data but it still probably would not work as signal was poor. This was highly disappointing - why would I pay if it wont work. Cleanliness could have been better - kettle was disgusting and full of limescale and dead insects where left where they had been squashed. Otherwise everything else was great!
Andrew (24 August 2018)

Went for a quiet break and got just that. Loved the lodge and the place, we took kids and there wasn't huge amounts for them to do but we knew that. Heaven though for me n the wife to chill out though
Dave from Oldham (24 August 2018)

Great place to un-wind only downfall was phone signal. Great to get you off your phone but a pain when needed.
Alec from Stoke On Trent (23 August 2018)

For the "hot tub" experience, it was 10/10. Other good points was the cleanliness of the lodge, friendly and helpful staff. It was fairly easy to get to and good countryside environment. Good appliances - microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher, small fridge freezer. Tv with usb slots and dvd player. The bad points was that our bedroom patio door overlooked another lodge's windows opposite and the the location of the hot tub could have been more private for this reason. As a "couple's" lodge, this was a poor design. Also the shower screen was very poor and the bathroom floor was very wet because of this and was a safety hazard when getting out. The lack of a washer/dryer inside the lodge was a negative. We also had a boiler fuse trip twice which meant cold water until they fixed it the following morning. Finally there was no mobile service due to its remote location and the "paid" wi fi service was so poor that we could not get the landing page. All these reasons are the reason for the fair overall score given.
Anon from Also The Shower Screen Was Very Poor And The Bathr (20 August 2018)

The perfect place to relax and enjoy being with the family. The lodges were roomy, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus which was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family. The location was great - a short drive to 2 local pubs and just 4 miles away from alton towers. . would recommend a stay here and we are hoping to go back again.
Charlotte from Wokingham (20 August 2018)

Brilliant everything we could of asked for from start to finish
Tom from Wakefield (17 August 2018)

Perfection. Clean, welcoming, and relaxing. Would definitely return!
Alex (17 August 2018)

The woodpecker lodge I stayed in needs so work doing to it. The blinds were broken, the bed was unstable, the cleanliness inside wasn't great. The radiator didn't work and the mop bucket left in the bathroom didn't look great I thought the cleaners would have taken that away. I will not be staying again or recommending to any of my family or friends.
Hayley (16 August 2018)

A lovely site. cabin was lovely, clean and comfortable
Fiona from Airdrie (13 August 2018)

Great place
Gareth from Bolton (10 August 2018)

Nothing to do, no wifi is a real issue, everywhere just looked really tired. I wouldn’t come back.
Suds from Wakefield (09 August 2018)

Very nice location! the cabin was private and perfect for my partner and myself. We loved the hot tub, it was hidden at the back of the cabin on decking so was very private, we couldn’t see anyone from it. The cabin could do with some love putting into it however we were out all day and it did not bother us or affect the holiday. The only issue we had was the outside lights didn’t work, so when we were on the decking/hot tub in the evenings it was annoying. We couldn’t report it as the reception was open 9-4 and we were out 8-6ish most days. But we managed fine with the lights on in the cabin and that lit up the outside enough for us. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it!
Abigail from Norfol (08 August 2018)

Amazing staff couldn’t do enough for you
Helen from Devon (08 August 2018)

A lovely quiet place away from it all so peaceful and quiet our kids loved it
Garry from Enfield (07 August 2018)

Lovely little secluded park with great hot tub. Lodge was clean, comfortable and spacious. Could do with a little bit of maintenance for cracked floor tiles etc, but it didn’t detract from our enjoyment of our holiday. Our son (14) didn’t like the fact there was no wifi or mobile signal, but it didn’t bother the rest of us. Great location for alton towers visit and having the hot tub to come back to was heaven. Would definitely stay again if I was visiting this area again.
Sue from Andover (04 August 2018)

We got a discount in the sales and would happily pay that again but not the full brochure/online price.
Dean from Southport (03 August 2018)

We stayed in the owl garden lodge, a two bedroom lodge ideal for families. The facilities in the lodge we're excellent, good quality furnishing, everything you need to have an enjoyable holiday. The lodge itself was really well sound proofed and set in it's own private garden overlooking the woods with a good quality hot tub at the bottom of the garden under it's own lit shelter. The staff at the park were outstanding, couldn't do enough for us and very responsive to our needs. The only single gripe was the shower in the en-suite which needs replacing as it's very low pressure, the head won't remain in position and the temperature controls we're terrible although I did manage to shower so not the end of the world. We'll definitely be returning, had a brilliant time.
Craig from Stockport (30 July 2018)

Wonderful time away really gorgeous accommodation
Peter from Saltash (27 July 2018)

Lovely lodge, clean tidy and comfy beds. The hot tub water was tested each day which meant it was always safe for the children in the evening. The peace and quiet was very welcomed and having no wifi or phone signal a blessing too.
Claire from Norfolk (27 July 2018)

Excellent getaway. Quiet and secluded. Cabin facilities excellent. Hot tub fab.
Tom from Fife Scotland (27 July 2018)

We booked these lodges die to the location and closeness to alton towers. Had a lovely time, the kids couldn't wait to get back and in the hot tub. Would defo use again x
Rachel from Sunderland (27 July 2018)

Excellent romantic break away with my wife loved the hot tub will definitely be booking up again
John from Stourbridge (23 July 2018)

Very nice log cabin could do with some updating, seating area wasn't very good as sofa's where low and deep. . had problems with the cleanlyness of the property with amounts of dust and dead flies in windows .we did go to reception and complain as some things needed sorted in lodge .the things were sorted but cleanliness was no better in the end had to clean the property ourselves . . overall the site was needing a bit of upgrading
Martin (23 July 2018)

We absolutely loved this place . beautiful surroundings
Marie from Birmingham (23 July 2018)

We stayed here whilst my husband was on r&r. It was in general a really pleasant stay and the staff were very friendly. However, the pack on the table was full of useful information on the surrounding area but was more orientated towards child friendly activities and parks. This is good for families but we were staying in a cabin that was for couples, we had to find adult activities/places to go by ourselves. The cabin was lovely and very clean when we arrived. The park was generally quiet and secluded, which is what we wanted. Some minor home comforts could have been provided, e.g salt and pepper in the shakers, as we didn't think to check that before ding our shopping. However, they provided milk so that a cup of tea was handy when we arrived from heathrow airport.
Nicola from Portland, Dorset (21 July 2018)

Cabins fairly close together, not particularly clean, hot tub that never stops it’s pumping, road that simply makes all vehicles filthy and noisy guests like a manchester council estate!! avoid if you wnt a quality, tranquil break!!
Paul from Orpington (20 July 2018)

Brilliant long weekend, quiet peaceful location with amazing cabin, hottub was perfect and rounded off a great stay. Staff very helpful and would definitely recommend hiring bikes (leaflet in reception) will 100% be back again!!
James from Bedford (16 July 2018)

Lodge was lovely and high quality, hot tub was fantastic and staff very friendly and helpful, ideal base for alton towers.
Ian from Inverurie (14 July 2018)

This is the 4th time we've holidayed here. Stayed in the fox plus lodge this year & it was fantastic. Highly recommend - couldn't keep my son out of the hot tub!
Shona from Glasgow (09 July 2018)

Surroundings were beautiful. lodge was average. hot tub was amazing we had asked for a travel cot which was provided however no sheet or bedding was provided or a towel for my little one. when we asked reception they just stated that they don't provide for a travel cot however this was not mentioned when booking. also when we arrived all the cutlery was dirty which I had to clean not really what you want to be doing when you arrive on holiday. Washing machine and dish washer did not work properly. lodge is in need of a revamp!
Hannah from Nairn (09 July 2018)

The lodges were a decent size for us as a family of 6, it was spotlessly clean and in a nice, quiet location. The hot tub was a favourite too.
Michelle from Wishaw (06 July 2018)

Lovely place to visit although the accommodation was ok as it wasn’t as clean as I would expect and seemed a little bit old fashioned.
Lucy from Burton On Trent (04 July 2018)

Excellent break. Only 15 minutes from alton towers which was perfect.
Laura from London (02 July 2018)

Lodge was very good. We do not have pets and there was a smell of dog in the lodge so if you have allergies to dogs then the park would not be suitable. The surroundings were excellent as were the staff and the park itself. You definately need a car as the site is remote which is a plus. Very relaxing and peaceful.
Lee from Uxbridge (01 July 2018)

Great place, set in beautiful surroundings. Big lodge with a huge hot tub. Would definitely recommend and would go back.
Kamila from Nottingham (29 June 2018)

Amazing getaway! lodges were lovely. We have used hoseasons many times and these lodges felt the most private.
Nicola from Wakefield (28 June 2018)

Nice park but extremely quiet. Lodged in need of a little tlc but are nice. Hot tub was fab and well maintained. Our children enjoyed the play area (under 4s). partner upset by bad tv signal which meant missed world cup games!
Katie from Manchester (28 June 2018)

Beautiful lodges, the area and the site is absolutely lovely. So peaceful and relaxing.
Rebecca from England (26 June 2018)

Peaceful surroundings. Hot tub was lovely and relaxing and local walks nice too.
Martin (25 June 2018)

Very good
Samavia from Sheffield (25 June 2018)

Lovely location, quiet and peaceful, no mobile signal on ee or id network which was bliss
Vivienne from Kirkby In Ashfield (25 June 2018)

The only reason why I would leave a bad review is to keep people away, and have this place all for myself. Amazing location, staff, vibes and amenities. Perfect holiday spot to relax, get away and enjoy the scenery and hot tub. Will definitely be coming back!
Ien (22 June 2018)

Me and my partner were really impressed with the layout of the cabin and how homely it felt there. Easy driving distance to nearest attractions and we would defiantly recommend to others and visit again.
Roxanne from Wolverhampton (22 June 2018)

Staff were polite and helpful the entire time. Nice secluded area to get away from your everyday stresses. Hottub was great too! . . however one issue stopped our stay getting 10/10. The boiler was only working half the time so you couldn't shower when you wanted. For example, it wasn't always working in the morning. . finally not a negative but a recommendation; a better shower head could be installed in our bathroom.
Arif from Nottingham (19 June 2018)

Very secluded lodge with a nice hot tub. Quality furnished, but some white goods tired. Isolated from ammenities.
Dean from Chesterfield (17 June 2018)

It was very relaxing and the staff were really helpful. the lodge was extremely clean and so was the hot tub. I would definitely go back
Cherie from Fleet (17 June 2018)

Me and my partner enjoyed our stay at quarry walks very much. The only negative thing I could say really is it could a bit cleaner. And the decor is very old fashioned! apart from that we had a lovely stay and would defiantly go back :)
Rosita from Essex (17 June 2018)

Brilliant time away with friends. Shame the wifi was down meaning no signal but this was down to a storm and not a fault of the park. . everything we needed was in there. Thank you so much!
Kieran from Stafford (11 June 2018)

Very pleasant stay.
Rachel (09 June 2018)

One of my favourite places to go! we had an amazing time, great for a relaxing break away
Jason from York (07 June 2018)

Very disappointed with the cabin. Hot tub was the only good thing about it. Very dated the whole site seemed very bodged. . no wifi avalible due to storm no apologies staff didn’t seem to bothered.
Dan (01 June 2018)

Lovely accommodation and location. Quarry park itself is quiet and private with a good children’s play area; the park’s roads are in need of investment and repair, as significant potholes but otherwise perfect as a base.
Jane from York (30 May 2018)

Just brilliant from beginning to end. Cabin, clean and spacious . hot tub lovely position on decking and being able to watch the wildlife around the cabin
Valerie from Macclesfield (29 May 2018)

Third visit to quarry walk as it’s an ideal location for alton towers.
Marie from Bishopton Scotland (28 May 2018)

A lovely holiday would. Recommend to any one who likes a quiet and friendly site
Robert (25 May 2018)

Our lodge was next to a children's play area - turned out not to be a problem, but should have been warned. car parking space was a bit too far from the lodge for loading and unloading and parking nearer would have blocked the road. not a great area for walking. . one of the dishwasher wheels was missing, which made loading and unloading difficult as it would come off the track and have to be lifted back.
Vince (25 May 2018)

You do need a car to get to the shops
Carol from Cheadle (25 May 2018)

Beautiful location, spotless log cabin! loads of little touches that make extra special i.e towels on bed, robes, milk tea and coffee. Would definitely recommend
Jade from Birmingham (21 May 2018)

Absolutely loved our visit to the lodges will definitely recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing few days away from home. Very clean and nice little touches to help you settle in. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Some really nice pubs within 10 min drive and would highly recommend visiting these.
Laura from Chesterfield (21 May 2018)

Excellent place for a quiet getaway. Short drive to everything you could want. Lodge nice and private. Will definitely go back
Chelsea from Chester (21 May 2018)

Lovely place. Perfectly peaceful. A real gem.
Emma (21 May 2018)

The hot water system kept breaking down. May be it requires an update.
Dhiru (04 May 2018)

Some update need ie road very bad was clean , but few broken kitchen tiles but had lovery time x are 2nd time sofas sink a bit
Theresa from Leicester (30 April 2018)

They advertised wifi which is untrue.
Deborah (30 April 2018)

Immaculately clean lodge just be prepared to be isolated from the outside world as you cannot get a phone signal unless you take a drive to higher ground
Mark from Nottingham (23 April 2018)

I have been gping hete for 15yrs and have recommended it to many friends and family who now enjoy it to.

Maureen from Prestatyn (16 April 2018)

Samantha (16 April 2018)

As a family of 4 our trip was for visiting alton towers which was only a 13 minute drive away from lodges , we loved our stay , lodges were so clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. The hot tub was a brilliant extra and so good after a tiring day walking around alton towers. We will definately be returning in the future :)
Toni from Fife (13 April 2018)

Came here with my partner and stayed for 4 nights in the woodpecker lodge 41. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly and the shop has some lovely little souvenirs. The cabin blew us away as soon as we went in. Ours was one bedroom but very spacious. The guys there make so much effort to make it special from the milk tea & coffee that’s put in, little dining table set ready, beautifully made up bed, robes in the wardrobe everything was perfect. The cabin was spotless, floors clean, bedroom smelt lush when we arrived. Under floor heating in the bathroom. General wear and tear in the bathroom round the shower and glass that you have to expect but you can tell they try their best to keep it well maintained. The guy that came and explained how to use the hot tub was lovely. The hot tub itself was clean and so enjoyable. There were other cabins next to us but you get your own parking space and they are set out so they don’t overlook and are made very private with the fencing around. Would love to go back again and would highly recommend.

Perfect. Felt like we were deep in the forest. Our lodge seemed very private and secluded considering where we were in a busy park.
Lynsey from South Shields (09 April 2018)

My few days are quarry lodge was just what the doctor ordered. Very relaxing and was able to recharge my batteries. The staff were really helpful. It was my 3rd visit and I will defo be going again.

Dareen from London (06 April 2018)

We had a lovely time at quarry walk & even though people had commented no wifi or phone signal as a negative we actually enjoyed being disconnected & just us as a family for 4 days. (wifi is available at a cost) lovely outdoor play area for the kids. Our lodge had everything we needed (we especially enjoyed the hot tub). there were a few areas looking a bit tired, marks on the walls & rust on the radiators, but overall we would recommend & would consider returning too.
Mel from Mid Wales (30 March 2018)

We had a lovely time. A few issues on arrival, we had a hot tub with a broken lid. It’s impossible to remove and replace alone, which meant sometimes I had to leave it open which meant it spent most of the time running at about 30-34 degrees which is annoying when your ready to get in at night when the kids are in bed but it hasn’t managed to warm back up yet. I mentioned it to the guy who settled us in and he said ring reception if we needed assistance. However there is no phone signal! at all. . underfloor heating was difficult. We couldn’t dry towels anywhere so ended up sharing most of the time as the room wasn’t warm enough to dry washing and the dryer was absolutely rubbish. . . the site was great for us, quiet, cut off from the world and a little park to entertain the kids. We walked around a few paths on the site with the kids and there were some nice walks. We visited alton towers and went into uttoxter for a day. Close enough for a day out in many places. . . I would return but I would need a new hot tub lid. And the radiators on in bathrooms!
Kerrie from Matlock (30 March 2018)

We have a very relaxing time. The log cabin and hot tub was flawless. Would def recommend this for couples for much needed rnr. . only thing to take into account is no phone signal (which was a pleasing for me), and you have to drive to get to local pubs as only a small shop on site. Thank you for a great stays
Simon from Leicester (30 March 2018)

Amazing time away, was great to get away from everything!

A lovely lodge and surroundings but very expensive for what it is, i'll look further afield next time to get better value for money but on this occasion I needed something close to home as it was our children's first night away and I wanted peace of mind that if they wouldn't settle I could be home within 15 minutes. we made use of the hot tub once the kids were in bed and the underfloor heating was a great touch, it did make th lodge extremely hot and you couldnare really control the temperature.
Michelle from Stoke On Trent (20 March 2018)

If you are in need of a totally peaceful, relaxing break these lodges are perfect. The fox club lodge is ideal for a couple, they are clean comfortable & well equipped. The hot tub is just perfect to spend an hour or more in at night.

The cabin we stayed in (fox cub) was very nice but could have done with a little maintenance before we arrived. The shower head needed a washer to stop it spraying everywhere and one of the sinks didn’t drain properly. Apart from that the cabin was lovely, clean, tidy and everything you would need. Except maybe somewhere other than the wardrobe to hang your coats.

Absolutely fantastic staff, beautiful surroundings, and the lodge it’s self was stunning, somebody came around every morning to check the hot tub was clean and the temperature was correct, couldn’t of been happier, and for a pet friendly lodge the standard as first class!!

Been to this camp many times, always a pleasant stay. I do agree that they could do with some tlc now. The window catch was broken, the bathroom window didn’t shut probably and there is no handle to get the lid of the hot tub, which is awkward for two people, virtually impossible for one. . the staff are very friendly and helpful and will keep going back because love the cabin
Alison (05 March 2018)

Had a great time lovely place everything we needed even got helped when we got stuck in the snow on our way the site sent someone out who gave us a tow overall had a lovely stay wasn't long enough : )
Louise from Birmingham (05 March 2018)

Would have been nicer to have more walking routes around the park.

I booked for just 3 nights . we have stayed before so knew what to expect. . the cabin was so cosy and warm couldn't fault it. The staff at reception extremely helpful and the local pub the raddle inn we descended on twice during out stay . the food was very good and staff very hospitable. It did say booking was recommended but on both occasions we didn't. . but it does get busy in there. The grounds at quarry walk are lovely and I would recommend exploring the local area . shugborough estate a 40 minute drive away was well worth a trip also and thoroughly enjoyed as national trust members.
Antonia from Burscough Lancashire (26 February 2018)

Really enjoyed this short break. The lodge was perfect apart from no blinds on bedroom window only thin curtains which let in the light early. There was no wifi or phone signal which didnt bother us as we just wanted a relaxing break. Made full use of the hot tub.
Stephen from Wigan (26 February 2018)

Lovely break just what we all needed.
