We had a really lovely time here. I'm not so sure I would book again though. Mainly just because when I go on holiday and getting a much needed break from work, I just want to pack a bag and go and not have to worry about taking additional items. I was shocked that there was no dish towel or oven glove provided and there was no extra toilet rolls provided. it's such a nice place but places like this are easily found and one we went to earlier in the year in another location provided things like this so all I really needed was to pack a bag and go. . we ate in the bar once. The food was lovely but the service quite slow. . we had a lovely break and would recommend though
Yvonne from We Ate In The Bar Once. The Food Was Lovely But Th (07 September 2018)

Fantastic
Lorraine from Freuchie (03 September 2018)

Birthday celebrations with the girls. We all had a fantastic time, the vegas lodge is amazing, needs a few things fixed like handles and toilet seats but all in all it was great. Would definitely return.
Carol from Johnstone (03 September 2018)

Absolutely amazing lovely chilled weekend with the family
Lynsay (03 September 2018)

Facilities and surroundings were fantastic. Hot tub and sauna inside lodge were of a very standard and spotless. Lodge was massive and in a great location on site. Highly recommend and will be back.
Elaine from Glasgow (03 September 2018)

We stayed in a reaburn lodge when we stayed at piper dam. It was spotless on arrival. The spa was cleaned regularly and the staff were brilliant, giving advice on were to go locally. Would definitely use again. Wifi is not brilliant ..
Jo from Belper (03 September 2018)

Fantastic venue. Hot tub amazing. Grill and dishwasher not as clean as I would have liked
Susan from Edi (02 September 2018)

Fantastic holiday. Staff friendly and attentive
Andrea from Lochmaben (31 August 2018)

Holiday was fantastic. only downside was not knowing renovations were being undertaken in lodges around us so there was some noise during the day. it didn't cause any major issues but a heads up would of been nice
Shona from Hamilton (31 August 2018)

Love this place have written lots of reviews telling people to go here as it’s a great summer or winter holiday. Love love love it !
Bridget from Bathgate (31 August 2018)

Great holiday- staff on site lovely with the children (9, 12 and 14yrs) and activities varied and very good value for money. £5 per child for soft play and the ticket could be used for the whole day and multiple visits. Our 14yrs old amazingly fitted under the height limit and had great fun!. . we hired bikes, used the pool, the soft play area and did segways (highly recommend). everyone enjoyed the actvities and all well managed. Pool, changing areas and gym were immaculate. Lovely little cafe in play area with basic menu which kids enjoyed at very reasonable prices.we didn't use the restaurant as had fussy eaters but menu reasonable there as well. Site picturesque and relaxing. Some areas under redevelopment for new and refurbished lodges but didn't deter from overall impression. Our lodge was one of the older ones but perfectly adequate and hot tub great. We had one small complaint about a broken curtain rail which was fixed the same day by friendly staff. Fab play areas for kids nearby at carnoustie beach and camperdown park- all free and kept our kids happy for the whole day. Lovely visit to falkland palace and afternoon tea out. . would definitely return in the future for a visit.
Margaret from North East (27 August 2018)

Sheets on bed were stained however holiday was enjoyable
Jonathan from Co. Durham (27 August 2018)

Lovely relaxing holiday
Elaine from Kilmarnock (27 August 2018)

The lodge was old but the bathrooms were new and showers good. The beds were ancient with some new mattresses but we had to ask for one changed after a dreadful night feeling every spring. And one other bed needed a new mattress. The dining table had inground stickiness that we couldn’t get clean.no view of anything from the cabin partly due to the high screens on the hot tub so I suppose you can’t have both but we have had both at other venues. Nice view from restaurant but not from bar and view is of a golf course which caters for non residents and wasn’t really promoted for guests. Restaurant expensive but nice food. Overpriced though and poor service. Also the meal we had there was ruined by poor entertainment and a raucous hen party which, considering the venue says no single gender groups ,was unexpected.lovely lake but could only walk round it if you risked walking on the golf course. Go active was aimed at small children so not really suitable for 29 - 65 . gym good and a nice pool although very busy at weekends. Pool possibly needs supervision to eject bad behaviour and any mental issues en campus should be monitored by carers so holidaymakers are not threatened. . . the barrier didn’t work due to number plates being incorrectly recorded but took the week to correct the error. Friday night was noisy with shouting until 2 am.and loud music although the camp is supposed to be quiet after 11- hot tubs not being allowed after this time. Dishwasher tablet door broken and fridge milk holder broken but both machines worked. No phone signal except wifi in bar but you couldn’t take a dog in so only went once.even then I couldn’t send messages. . could have been better.
Janet from South Woodham Ferrers (27 August 2018)

Get spot, great resort. However no phones or wifi in the cottages makes it hard when traveling from abroad or even from locals as there is not great reception in this area.
John (27 August 2018)

A thouroughly relaxing lodge. Fantastic
Carole from Morpeth (24 August 2018)

Disappointed with the dirty and stained carpets throughout the lodge also the condition of the fridge as the shelves in the door were being supported with sticky tape so food wouldn’t fall onto the floor. Overall the furnishings should be replaced as the lounge suite was so uncomfortable we tended to sit on the dining room chairs for the whole week, hardly relaxing.
Pauline from Morpeth Northumberland (24 August 2018)

The overall holiday was good. We thought the lodges were a bit tired. The room with a view restraunt was cracking as was the activities barn. With a bit of modernisation the lodges could be exceptional
Stuart from Benidorm (24 August 2018)

Had a great time. Place is amazing
Morag from Fife (24 August 2018)

Fantastic week
Christina from Ayrshire (24 August 2018)

Exactly what me and my family required, lovely accommodation set in a great location.
Andrew (24 August 2018)

The location was good. The site is being improved with new lodges being added, so evidence of work being done but did not disturb resident. The new lodges are spaced apart so you are not crammed in. The 3 bed galbraith lodges are new for 2018 and very spacious, with 3 bathrooms and a tv in every bedroom plus a hot tub. There is a high fence around your patio area which provides you with privacy when using the hot tub. There is no wifi in the lodges, only in the reception area and phone reception is patchy due to the location. The main issue we found was the state of the roads around the site, there are some tarmac sections which we were as you enter and leave the site, but travelling further into the site to your lodge there are some gravel/stone roads which have lots of potholes. . we booked a few children's activities in the activity barn and they were well run with helpful, enthusiastic staff. . there is a swimming pool, with sauna and steam rooms. The pool is 1.2m deep and was big enough so that you can still use it without being too cramped by other users.
Henry from Harlow (20 August 2018)

Very good break at piperdam stayed in a muirloch lodge ideal for 2 with hot tub. Restaurant very good facilities also good. Would have given a 10 but lodge furnishings a little tired
John from Edinburgh (20 August 2018)

We had a great time. The lodge was lovely, and the hot tub was perfect. We will be returning next year.
Catriona from Edinburgh (20 August 2018)

Piperdam was excellent. we had read reviews and were wortied about cleanliness of cabins but these were totally unfounded - spotless. only thing to say is more cooking utensils trays, pans would be helpful and the sofas in our cabin were in need of replacing uncomfortable to sit on -we sat on dining chairs. Osprey lodge 30. looking forward to returning to piperdam great for adults and children.
Ronald from Stockton On Tees (20 August 2018)

V disappointing
Louise from Belfast (20 August 2018)

Overall it's good value for money, . was disappointed that someone left a bag of rubbish on our doorstep the first night I stayed, fox etc.. ripped the bin bag all over the place had sanitary pads and condoms laying around the doorstep, . complaining to reception they said they would sort it it was still there when we left 3days later, horrible!
Paul from Paisley (20 August 2018)

Overall very pleased. Busy in bar area at weekends. Dishwasher didn’t work and kitchen tap leaked with no response from management.
Customer 28 (17 August 2018)

Lovely lodge clean everything we need
Gordon from Shotts Northlanarkshire (17 August 2018)

Excellent holiday.
Alison from Aberdeenshire (17 August 2018)

Very poor condition of lodge because we took small dogs. Paid extra to get a smelly and poorly maintained lodge. Bar closed at 9.30pm so no choice but to sit in lodge. Very poor tv signal (supposedly caused by trees) so couldn't enjoy tv either. Complaint raised, regarding various problems, on site and by email on return with no response a week later!!! reception staff lovely but no response from management. Very disappointed considering the high cost . overall the place is lovely and it would have been a totally different holiday if we had a nicer lodge.
Debbie from Kilmarnock (17 August 2018)

Couldn’t fault anything we were helped with any issue or question we had
Jasmine from Shropshire (17 August 2018)

Lodge was full of cobwebs needed a good clean, tiles in bathroom cracked and starting to rise up, hot tub had not been cleaned out, poor phone reception, restaurant food was in par with pub food and the live entertainment was that bad left after first drink. Overpriced, overrated and outdated. Better times camping.
Anthony from Glasgow (17 August 2018)

I was married here and the lodges were the biggest disappointment. Toilet remained broken fo 3 days despite reporting it. We had to walk to the main lodge and I use their facilities.
Pamela (13 August 2018)

Two adults and one child stayed for a week costing over £1000 because we chose to have a hottub. The lodges were lovely but ours wasnt overly clean and we were plagued with flies the whole week. Windows were dirty on the inside and the glass covering the tables were dirty and someone had sprinkled sugar under the glass, it was still there for us to clean. The boiler kept making a noise like someone had chucked a handful of popcorn kernels in to it. The washing machine didnt work but maintenance replaced it with a new one almost immediately. Couldnt shower on a friday or monday morning as no water because of the drop in pressure with hot tubs being emptied and refilled. Activities were quite expensive but the staff were lovely as were the maintenance and reception staff. So yes I would go again if I was able to get it an awful lot cheaper.
Fiona from Dundee (13 August 2018)

Great weekend break, but disappointed we couldn’t get a pet friendly lodge. Everything else was fab
Susan from Falkirk (13 August 2018)

Loved every minute of it lodge was immaculate restaurant and staff excellent. I would recommend piperdam to anyone.
Louise (13 August 2018)

We had a great stay at piperdam. Our children (12 and 7 years old) had a wondeful time in the swimmingpool and around the park. The bar and restaurant are very nice and the personal is very friendly. We felt very welcome throughout out entire stay. The surroundings are not that spectacular but within half an hour there is so much to see and do. So we did enjoy ourselves very much!
Arno from Utrecht, The Netherlands (13 August 2018)

Bryon lodge is absolutely stunning, hot tub was brilliant.
John from Dumbarton (13 August 2018)

Relaxing family break. Great facilities and friendly staff. Would definately come again.
Douglas from Falkirk (10 August 2018)

A lot of damages to furniture in lodge
David from Ayrshire (10 August 2018)

It was great and was busy on arrive date but really nice and quite
Siobhan (10 August 2018)

We booked a lodge which stated had disabled access this was poor. We were able to get the wheelchair in no problem, but my father in law once in the chalet was not able to access the shower so had to go four days without a proper wash the cabin would definitely make use of a wet room. We were not able to get him out into the hot tub area as no wheelchair access out to the back of the lodge at all was very disappointed for the money we spent we were not able to use the lodge to the best of it’s availability. Would not recommend this lodges for anyone in a wheelchair even though it states it has disabled availability.
Linda from Kirkcaldy (10 August 2018)

Nice quiet area, alot to do in surrounding areas, a lot of facilities on site aswell, the overall holiday was quiet & pieceful
Steven from Lockerbie (10 August 2018)

Reported broken bin twice nobody came to change it.roads full of pot holes. Some areas look like building site
Donna from Hull (10 August 2018)

Fabulous resort, beautiful lodge and lovely peaceful resort with plenty to do.
Aaron from Derbyshire (10 August 2018)

Great, relaxing holiday. Poor mobile reception made it even better! back to the days before tech took over. . loved the lodge esp. The hot tub and sauna. . looking forward to going back again some time.
William from Edinburgh (10 August 2018)

There was a large group of us for a wedding so we occupied around 7 lodges. We all had a chance to go into each others lodges at some stage and the general comments were that some of them were lovely having just been upgraded. However the ones that we stayed in and the 10 bed lodge were in need of an upgrade. . the location and how they were all spaced out however was superb.
Michelle from North Shields (06 August 2018)

Great place - beautiful scenery, spacious, quiet. Good activities for kids (though you have to pay extra for these).
Anne from Oxford (06 August 2018)

We had a nice time at piperdam , although we came home a day early as I found the bed really uncomfortable it was very hard whitch resulted in me sleeping on the sofa , but apart from that we had a lovely time the hot tub and sauna were great the lodges are very well equipped with everything you need for your stay
Alexandra (06 August 2018)

Beautiful lodge+surroundings, had a great time.i would reccommend seat pads for the chairs in dining room as after while it was uncomfortable. Also for families I suggest you have a twin+double on each level.washer/dryer door not opening after dry cycle-have to put it on spin to open door.
Louisa (06 August 2018)

Great holiday again at piperdam. The lodge was lovely and really enjoyed the hot tub. Only a couple of small things in the lodge, the lodge could do with some more cup, cooking pans, etc if you want to cook in the lodge and the dishwasher trays were broken as was the fridge door storage compartments. . the food in the restaurant was excellent and highly recommend eating there. Staff in the reception and bar were very helpful. Great golf courses 18 & 9 hole and very helpful pro in the shop.
Eion (06 August 2018)

Fabulous place. I say more suit for adults. But great place for the family’s to go and the children’s activities are good. Staff are helpfull.
Alister from Southampton (03 August 2018)

Really nice lodge, great hot tub. Good main facility and good food. only problems were facilities in the lodge itself - no wifi and no basics e.g. Tea towel, toiletries in bathrooms etc.
Allan from Aberdeen (03 August 2018)

A very disappointing holiday. The location and main reception areas are lovely - staff are great too. However this is let down by very tired lodges. The one we stayed in had a rip in the sofa, scratches on the dining table which meant it never felt clean, chips and gouges in the work surface in the kitchen and broken washing machine drawer. This was a pet friendly lodge, which you expect some wear and tear with, but this was beyond that. The hot tub was the biggest let down. There were no head rests in the tub, despite there being holes for them - however you can understand these may get lost over the course of time. The tubs are checked daily by staff but we noticed that the filters were really dirty and within 2 days of arriving the water began to cloud up. When the maintenance staff came out they said it was caused by us using suncream in the tub (it rained all week and the suncream never even got unpacked). when we pointed out the state of the filters, it transpired that they had no new replacement filters on site. All they were doing was replacing the really dirty ones with marginally less dirty ones. I got the distinct impression that this had been going on a while judging from the state of them. They replaced the water and within 2 days, it was as clouded up again. . such a let down and so preventable!
Justine from Maidstone (03 August 2018)

Great place to meet up with granny for a little break. Kids loved the pool and other activities. Food was great too.
Jennifer from Paisley (03 August 2018)

We stayed in the muirloch spa plus and it was lovely. The only downside was that if you are a couple and want to snuggle up on the sofa together it is 2 small sofas that are in the lodge. A small corner unit or a lage sofa would be best.
Ann from Ardrossan (03 August 2018)

Lodge was nice inside but located right next to existing building work which wasn’t noted when we booked. The activities had to be booked and paid for which were very expensive and even had to pay for the soft play. Pool was small and no kids area in it to paddle. Site shop was small and overpriced.
John from Brigg (30 July 2018)

Amazing week-long retreat at piperdam lodges! we stayed at the new lochside lodges and they were great! check-in went smoothly, the lodge was very clean and even had wifi, the hot tub was amazing and was checked daily, the softplay was great for our nearly 3 and 5 year olds (though it wasn't free), the pool was a very comfortable temperature and incredibly enjoyable. We didn't get a chance to do any of the other go activities, but they looked like a blast!. . the only things to keep in mind when visiting was: no dish soap or dishwasher detergent, sponges, or drying towels, so those would have to be purchased separately. The beds were quite firm, which didn't bother most of the family, but something to keep in mind. . in all, our vacation was awesome and we'd definitely recommend!
Jonathan from North Yorkshire (30 July 2018)

Excellent facilities on site. stayed in forester spa. could’ve done with a dust and the fridge is well past it’s best. good for all the family and we would go back.
Karen from Newtonhill (30 July 2018)

Great location, fab course let down a little with the lodge in need of tlc for the money we paid was expecting it to be a bit better! did report a few things ie esuite door jammed, bucket broken, very smelly fridge, tv signal very poor almost nil. Tub was fab comfy beds
Kerry from Cullen (30 July 2018)

Had a lovely time would definitely come back only thing missing is a hairdryer in the lodges but went to asda and bought one but mayby it should b mentioned so people know and they can take their own lovely food great activities perfect for a break highly recommend
Vivienne from Ayrshire (30 July 2018)

I was disappointed with lodge. It was dark and dreary and very small and only 3 garden chairs and remote didn’t work for tv. Also £10 to play tennis and the court wasn’t even marked. Very poor
Fiona from Carluke (30 July 2018)

Beautiful lodge with beautiful surroundings, I could not fault it. Had a perfect weekend and I will definitely be booking again!
Georgina (30 July 2018)

We had a lovely time monday to friday in eagle spa +. lodge in need of refurb. But was clean & comfortable. Great location. Pool & childrens activity programme great. 18 hole golf course was good but disappointed in 9 hole course as bunkers were in poor condition. Restuarant & lounge were great.
Lorraine (27 July 2018)

The lodges were a beautiful standard close to everything. Fantastic activities
Mark from Kirkwall (27 July 2018)

It was a great size of a lodge! the was a problem with the cleanliness, front door and washing machine. there were crumbs in between the sofas. it is a great base and the hot tub was brilliant.
Nicola (27 July 2018)

Excellent site, very good clubhouse and restaurant, golf, massage etc but lodge itself showing signs of wear and items need attention. Road from lodge to exit unbelievably potholed in parts and needs repair. . . on arrival, making people wait for keys until long queue formed for a precise 4 o'clock start and not having a drop box for early leavers on the last morning is a bit pedantic.
Paul from Stansted (27 July 2018)

Lodge was in good condition and staff were friendly. used the swimming pool daily. children's park has been neglected and is need of some investment. this was a shame as kids would have loved a good park to play in especially with the great weather. sure piperdam can afford to rectify this. used soft play once which was ok. really we used the lodge as a base to explore the local area and then used the swimming pool in the evening.
John (27 July 2018)

We are a 60something retired couple and stayed in byron premier lodge for 1week in july. It was excellent. We are well travelled and require high standards. We were in the area for the british open golf. The quality of the accommodation, fitments and furnishings was first class. The bed and bedding excellent quality and very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen enabled proper self catering, made easy with dishwasher, freezer and good sized fridge. Piperdam was a perfect location to explore the area - glamis castle, balmoral, glen shee, montrose basin all within easy distance. The service was very good, but the food wasn’t quite to our liking. We would have liked more salads, fish and seafood, and perhaps a pizza oven. We certainly would stay at piperdam lodge again
Geoffrey from N.Yorkshire (23 July 2018)

Great location, staff & facilities. The lodge we stayed at was a little dated and needed some tlc, but had everything you needed for a short break apart from wifi & a tv with good reception!!
Clare (23 July 2018)

Have been to piperdam over 20 times and it never disappoints. Great place to relax, explore or just totally chill out
Stuart from Milton Of Leys (23 July 2018)

Excellent park great facilities thoroughly enjoyable.
Ian from Bolton (23 July 2018)

Good location , lodges nice but could do with some updating especially outside area. Lacked simple things like tea towels and oven gloves
Neil from Newcastle Upon Tyne (23 July 2018)

Fantastic lodge in a superb setting. The lodge was exceptionally clean and well maintained with full facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Ashton from Alford (23 July 2018)

Very dark inside lodge not the cleanest of places, staff very helpful, lorraine in spa extremely good. Approach into site not finished off very well. Drawers in bedroom broken which they offered to fix but they should have done that before we arrived. Golf course was nice. Spa was ok. Wouldn’t go back. asked not to be put in a pet lodge. Lodge was pet friendly!!!!!
Diane (23 July 2018)

Stayed at rainbow executive lodge absolutely stunning!
Lainey (20 July 2018)

Only improvement would be wifi in lodges if possible as there is no phone signal on most networks
Clare from Hawick (20 July 2018)

Fourth time here and never disappointed.will be back again.perfect for weekend or monday to friday breaks
Wendy from Aberdeen (20 July 2018)

Great place with lots to do on site and the surrounding area
Lesley from Southport (20 July 2018)

Fab cabin fab staff I think when all the facilities are up and running it will be better. I would like to see a more varied menu
Gillian from Wolverhampton (20 July 2018)

The lodge was alright but there was not enough activities at night for the kids. We prefer drmsynie.
Kathleen from Ayr (20 July 2018)

We enjoyed it a lot. Tidy and cosy cottage. However the cottage itself was very dark due to its location in the woods. We couldn't enjoy sitting in the sun.
Customer 83 from Etten-Leur (16 July 2018)

Wifi in lodge is really recommanded, especially when travelling with teenager. No wifi is really nog doen and old fashioned!
Ben from Nuenen (16 July 2018)

Would have preferred to have a choice of a pet free lodge wen booking
Brian from Rothes (16 July 2018)

An excellent holiday.
Ann from Isle Of Lewis (16 July 2018)

We had a fantasic weekend. The lodge was amazing spacious, clean, well equiped and in a lovely location we couldnt ask for more. The children had a wonderful time and were well cateted for. The staff throughout the compex were friendly and helpful.
Diane (16 July 2018)

This was a second visit for us as a family, accommodation is fantastic lodges are clean, comf and hot tub was a bonus. More kitchen oven dishes would be beneficial. As we had older kids with us they enjoyed then archry, and t cross bow. We did the quad biking twice it was so good. However when we booked we were told this wasn’t available. We had a great time it a a shame that this isn’t promoted as the reception desk. on the whole we had a great time and will we return. Piperdam could do with more activities for old teens and not for small kids.
Rhonda from Co Anyr (16 July 2018)

Lodges were amazing,a didn’t think there was to do unfortunately, howies bar was good and a thought food was outstanding and staff couldn’t help you enough!!
John from Alloa (16 July 2018)

Luxury price for very poor and tired accommodation. Also activities as advertised on website were not available.
Patrick (13 July 2018)

A good week lovely big lodge lots to do in activity barn for kids and adults too. good sized soft play. Just a nice chilled out week
Helen from Dalkeith (13 July 2018)

Lodge was looking tired and well used, toilet didn’t flush properly, so we called reception and someone came up within 30 mins. during this time we tried to open some windows(which weren’t really clean) and one of them would not budge. we mentioned it to the repair man and he fixed this at the same time as the toilet. the temp for the hot tub was set at 40 which we found to be too hot for us. we spoke to the gentleman who checked the tubs in the morning and he reduced it to 37 which was far better, but alas, the next day it was back up to 40. we went for a meal on the last night and where we were sitting there was cobwebs hanging from the light fitting. we did say at reception when we checked out and was told that they are in the middle of upgrading the lodges and park. We feel at this time for the money we paid it was slightly sub standard. was the year before and thoroughly enjoyed it and that is why we booked for this year, but was disappointed.
Ann from Peterhead (13 July 2018)

Facilities overall disappointing.
Joyce from Kingskettle (09 July 2018)

Doesn't cater for toddlers . think they need to look at playpark as most things were broken
Yvonne (09 July 2018)

Amazing place to go, relaxing, everyone lovely and the staff were extremely helpful
Yvonne (09 July 2018)

Great space inside lodge but kitchen utensils could have been better ie a carving/chopping knife. Beautiful woodland surroundings and if you want full on sun the loch-side bar on site is perfect.
Ruth from Glasgow (09 July 2018)

The lodges can be on the expensive side however you do get a lot of lodge for your money! the surrounding area is beautiful for walks.
William (09 July 2018)

Had a great weekend at the muirloch spa lodge with my friend. The cabins are situated in a way that you aren't facing into anyone and you have a lot of privacy. If you don't leave the cabin you literally won't see anyone for a full weekend.
Holly from Glasgow (09 July 2018)

A lovely relaxing getaway.
Laura (08 July 2018)

Bit of a mixed bag. An embarrassing multitude of rules and regulations is very unpleasant, I felt like I was back at primary school. The hot tub enclosure is so small as to be claustrophobic and nasty, with no thought given to the aesthetics. Tv in the bedroom is tiny, unusably small. That decision was made by a committee with a sense of humour. . biggest problem though was the sun shining (yes in scotland) through the very thin curtains at 5am. Black out blinds were not provided - they should be. . the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The location was very pretty and we enjoyed some pleasant walks. The restaurant was good and coped with a busy day very well. The lodge was large and mostly well equipped.
Frank from East Lothian (08 July 2018)

We stayed at the galbraith premier, fantastic location, beautiful lodge. Could not fault this holiday. Will be back.
Rebecca from Fife (06 July 2018)

Lodge was comfortable with plenty of space in living / dining area, nice bedrooms, kitchen had all the essentials although some instruction manuals were missing. The lodge we stayed in the wooden balcony and walkway could do with upgrading although there did seem to be parts which had recently been replaced.
Gail (06 July 2018)

Lodge was in poor condition, in need of a refurbish, outside decking in appalling condition, carpet was disgusting to the extent we had to leave lodge for few hours so it could be washed, carpet then damp over night,i complained to management but still waiting on them getting back to me, so not impressed.
Andrew (06 July 2018)

The staff really made the holiday for all of us,nothing was a problem to them, the service and food in the restaurant was 1st class.
John from Ayr (06 July 2018)

Very relaxing and enjoyable
Marc (02 July 2018)

Really nice location quiet and cool in the forest setting. Nice facilities with friendly staff. Lodges are really nice very spacious and well furnished
Raymond from Dumfries (02 July 2018)

Beautiful location and very dog friendly. . our lodge was beautiful however it was not properly cleaned before our arrival ( we did notice our neighbours calling back a cleaner to theirs, so maybe this was a one off as we were quite far up back onsite). . the hot tub was fantastic . . recommendation would be to add a lamp in living room area as this was quite dull at night time. Also a lot of overhang from trees blocking sunlight to lodge and limited sunlight on hot tub (appreciate this is no easy task given close proximity). . the food at hotel was beautiful, we ate there on 3 separate occasions and each time the food was lovely and staff very helpful. . overall I would recommend this to others
Louise from Glasgow (02 July 2018)

Me and my partner came for 3days at end june and had such a fab time. We have come home and booked to come back with the kids in october, cannot wait ..new fave place
Carol from Glasgow (02 July 2018)

Very nice place to go
Michael from Dumfries (29 June 2018)

Very friendly helpful staff great location,
Simon from Airdrie (29 June 2018)

We visited during one of the hottest weeks of summer. Lodge was immaculate and was so good having both washing machine and dishwasher. Loved the fact there was a clothes horse for hanging clothes out. Patio and table/chairs dirty so had to brush and clean before we could use. Also position of our lodge meant we had to sit out the front near the road to be in the sunshine (number 27). food and drink were not too expensive and was good having a wee shop onsite - tin foil please next time. told on check out if we book directly next time 5% discount so worth watching for. Only complaint was too hot in hot tub due to the heat.
Luzier from Glasgow (29 June 2018)

The lodge was run down and reception staff need training and to be happier
Zoe (29 June 2018)

Lodge was a great size and clean but showers weren’t good and one of the shower doors was missing a hinge . . with the facilities the meals in the restaurant were lovely but there wasn’t much to do the driving range wasn’t open and the activity barn looked closed. . . the kids park was basic with only a few things there. . was disappointed to find that I booked a pet friendly lodge where the patio was all enclosed but my dog got our under the fence as the fence had a gap as it wasn’t all the way down in the ground. Luckily I caught her getting out and got her back not good for a pet friendly lodge. . . there was activities on the week we were there but as I said the activity barn loocked closed there wasn’t any signs to say it was open or if we were at the correct place.
Carolanne from Lanark (29 June 2018)

Have visited piperdam a few time , just me and my husband, but this year took my daughter and 4 year old granddaughter, they both thought it was amazing
Janice from Irvine (29 June 2018)

Outstanding in raeburn premier, with hot tub, one of the newer lodges built in 2017.
Ellizabeth from London (29 June 2018)

Lovely quiet peaceful setting, lodges well spaced out. Fantastic accommodation for a large group. . . although lots of activities available on site, they are suited to primary school age and up, not a lot of toddlers.
Susan from Glasgow (29 June 2018)

Idilic lodges in a stunning location
Lisa from Dunfermline (29 June 2018)

Good lodge, planning a bit quirky, open plan toilet a bit of a talking point, nice resort, great base for touring.
Brian from Livingston (25 June 2018)

The break was relaxing and just what was required
Carol from Kirkcaldy (25 June 2018)

Beautiful place and beautiful lodge. We stayed in the byron premier it was exactly how it looked in the pictures.
Jacqueline from Newton Stewart (25 June 2018)

Excellent stay. Would recommend. The fact there was a hot tub really added to a relaxing weekend. . the young gentleman who checked us out at the end of our stay was extremely friendly and very greatful for us to choose their resort. . staff in the main bar were very helpful and friendly. . . the view at the restaurant is fantastic and the setting is excellent. . will definitely be back. Thanks so much for an excellent weekend.
Mike from Glasgow (24 June 2018)

We had a very relaxing holiday and the lodge was excellent also very clean. Furnishings were very tasteful. in all the lodge and location was first class. we would definitely recommend it to others .
Walter from South Lanarkshire (22 June 2018)

Lovely place & lovely lodge which had everything we needed, we had a new one built in 2017 so dont know if all the same standard we upgraded to the raeburn. Maybe some more privacy fencing where the hot tub was would be better. some of the roads leading to lodges need attention though lots of pot holes, poor wifi not good if you have children with you and also for security if needed to get hold of someone urgently from the lodge. Didnt use any of the facilities other than the bar for a meal which was lovely. Maybe some mini/crazy golf would be good ?
Kathleen from Aberdeenshire (22 June 2018)

Had a great break ,went day visits to dundee, perth and forfar which are all nearby, lodge has everything you need .
Joyce from Glasgow (22 June 2018)

Great relaxing break. Only thing I could falter is that the lodge carpet be upgraded as very tired and dirty. Also can't read the dials the cooker. Maybe a picture in the kitchen so guests know where to set the cooker
Peter from Falkirk (22 June 2018)

We stayed in lodge no 43 . the couches were atrocious one we could barely sit on the other wasn't much better. we did complain to no avail! fit for bonfire!we have been a few times previously actually when this lodge was new we were the first visitors . . our party were all over 60 and we will not be back until the sofas have been renewed!. . I believe new owners took it over a couple of years ago they seem to be concentrating on making it a bigger resort with a great play barn and activity centre but money needs to be spent on furniture in the lodges and the hot tub bar as the are tired and dated
Gordon (22 June 2018)

A member of the patyy was disabled, we checked prior to booking on suitability and was informed the lodge was wheel chair accessible, while this being the case the ramp into the lodge had no side stops or rails, allowing the wheel chair to run of the ramp, otherwise access ok, the disabled toilet at the center is very small and doubles as a baby changing area, the wheel chair user got wedged under the child changing table, the toilet is not suitable for wheel chair users, otherwise had a great time.
Catherine from Edinburgh (22 June 2018)

The lodge was dirty, needed a proper clean. The hot tub was clearly in need of replacement as it was worn and the headrests dirty. The lodge felt as if it needed a refurbishment as it was dated and not what I was expecting for the money i'd spent or the advertisement on their site. The main reception lodge bar area etc was good. Staff very helpful. Overall I felt it was disappointing for what I was expecting
Mark from Fife (18 June 2018)

On arrival the lodge was quite dirty the showers were either hot or cold they were both the same. The pressure in the boiler was really low. There was a smell in the fridge and the door on the dishwasher didn’t open fully and the tablet compartment was broken. There was only one ceiling light working.
Doreen from South Lanarkshire (18 June 2018)

A very enjoyable holiday in nice accommodation.
Gavin from Edinburgh (18 June 2018)

Had a fabulous holiday here. The lodge was lovely and very spacious. Beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only bugbear was that the soft play wasn’t great - our two year old was too small for some parts of it and too big for others. That said it was great to see a facility like that on site and when we return next year our little one should get more out of it. We will be returning again and again.
Alison from Inverness (18 June 2018)

Lovely lodge, staff were very friendly and helpful, however my taxi turned up an hour early and the driver was rude and then they were late.
Catherine from Mintlaw (17 June 2018)

Over all we really enjoyed the lodge, very relaxing and in a good location. However when we first entered the hot tub, there was what looked like wee bits of scrambled egg in the hot tub which we had to scoop out with a cup. It was clear the hot tub had not been checked by cleaning staff before the new arrival. We were also only given one roll of toilet roll for our two night stay, therefore l had to go down to reception and collect a second roll of toilet role on our second night. Nevertheless l would still recommend priperdam lodges, any time of year, l really enjoyed it. Very spacious bedroom and the bed is very comfy. Lovely homely livingroom. The sorroundings are great also for lovely walks.
Hannah from Newton Mearns (17 June 2018)

We enjoyed the break. However, the cabin was 'tired' with several amenities not working. These were brought to the attention of reception.
Valerie (15 June 2018)

The facilities in the cabin were top class, bedding and towels were more than adequate but the floor was filthy, despite brushing it leaked dirt, we struggled to get stv on the t.v. we wouldn’t sit out on the veranda because the chairs were not clean and the floor was a disgrace, it hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time. We were very disappointed to be told that because we had the dogs we were not allowed in the restaurant. It was a huge room and why there was not a section where we could have sat with a glass of wine and perhaps socialised with others I don’t know! it appeared that every second cabin had a dog. There are not that many walking areas so there is not much to do other than sit in your cabin. because of these issues I wouldn’t go back.
Linda from Edinburgh (15 June 2018)

Great place only downfall no wi-fi in lodges as signal not the best and always great to have a phone signal for emergencys
Kirsty from Grangemouth (15 June 2018)

Fantastic first family holiday!
Lynne from Paisley (15 June 2018)

The location & surroundings were beautiful. the lodge we had was dated and needed some tlc. the decking area was in need of repair as a lot of the wood was decaying.
Customer 138 (11 June 2018)

A lovely environment and lodge for the weekend, would highly recommend
Niculina (11 June 2018)

A lovely lodge and hot tub was great.
Lesley (11 June 2018)

We had the best break ar piperdam. People are so friendly and food is great!
Jo from Dundee (11 June 2018)

We had a really good holiday. Would have liked to see more entertainment at night in bar.
Jack from Fraserburgh (08 June 2018)

Plenty of space even for the 6 adults and 4 kids. Activities in the barn were very limited for under 8 year olds.
Grace (04 June 2018)

All this needs to get a perfect 10, is to add a few more attractions for children.
Gary from Wakefield (01 June 2018)

I regularly go to caravan parks and lodges on holidays. I would highly recommend piperdam. It was the best one of these ive been too. The lodges were beautiful and spotlessly clean. The main reception area, restuarant and sitting area outside were exceptional. Staff were extremely helpful. It was an idealic break away.
Lorraine from Airdrie (01 June 2018)

Good location to explore angus
Stephen (01 June 2018)

We had a four berth lodge with hot-tub and a sauna, both of which were excellent. Lodge was very roomy and well equipped.
Martin from Berwick Upon Tweed (01 June 2018)

Beautiful in every way. Lodge was immaculate, fab views, peaceful, clean and anything else you could wish for. Son had accident staff couldn't been any more helpful. Can't wait to return. The best lodge we have stayed in.
Sharon from Liverpool (01 June 2018)

Loved the lodges but tv only had 6 channels and they didnt always work.
Jamie from Edinburgh (28 May 2018)

We had an amazing stay, everything was perfect including the weather!. one of the main things that stood out was the staff they are an asset to piperdam everyone we spoke to couldn’t be more helpful! best customer service I have experienced in a long time.
Scott from Edinburgh (28 May 2018)
