Great holiday very helpful staff
Julia from Ludlow (03 September 2018)

Dated and over priced.
Gill (31 August 2018)

Absolutely stunning lodge, we were so nicely surprised. the location was great to get to local attractions by car. there is a charming pub on site with very friendly staff and the kids enjoyed playing pool. the bar did very nice food which we had on our first night. there is a tesco express nearby but it's not a 10 minute walk as we were advised - it's more like a 30 minute walk but if you are in your car, no problem. there's so much to do in the area from zip world, to bets-y-cowd which was charming, and I would go back again as there was so much we didn't see because we didn't have enough time.
Jayne from Sandbach, Cheshire (31 August 2018)

Not the equipment we would have expected for this price ie no dvd or tv in master bedroom the bath was only half size and the bedrooms quite cramped but the location is stunning if remote the staff helpful
Michael from Milton Keynes (27 August 2018)

The stay was good. . . it would of been easier if the towel heater in the bathroom was working. It was raining when we stayed and there was no where to dry the towels when we had used the hot tub/shower. It would of also heated the bathroom up a little as it was cold. . . the hot water in the kitchen wasn't working either. I had to keep boiling the kettle to wash up. . . would of been good if the canopy came out on the outside like it shows on the pictures. Would of allowed us to go outside more.
Kirsty from Bolton (23 August 2018)

The location was beautiful and very peaceful. The pod was brilliant! it was tiny but very well designed to make the best use of space. The pull-down bed was great. It was lovely to have a pub on site and the food served was very good. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. The only downside was that although the phone and internet signals were good, wi-fi was only available in the pub and not in the pod.
Sarah from Wrexham (23 August 2018)

Great holiday, lovely quiet area and lodge was excellently equipped with everything you could need.
Catherine from Cornwall (20 August 2018)

The lodge was fantastic. No shop on site but one was advertised. Club on site nothing special
Andrew (20 August 2018)

Overall a lovely holiday. Lodge clean & reasonably well equipped. Hot tub a real treat. our only complaint is we booked in to eat on our last evening but when we turned up at 6, there was a note on the door saying that unfortunately the clubhouse was closed. it would have been nice to have been informed of this as it’s not ideal having to find somewhere else to eat with 3 children at such short notice.
Mark from Warrington (17 August 2018)

Whole experience was great. Staff helpful and courteous. Location is ideal and cabins well equiped and clean. Would highly recommend and plan on staying there again.
David (17 August 2018)

Great location. Great accommodation . will return
Jane from Wolverhampton (11 August 2018)

Ok but there is no playground even though they say there is
John (10 August 2018)

It was an amazing lovely place staff were great . had a brill time
Victoria (06 August 2018)

One of the best holidays we have had as a family.the place was picturesque and so beautiful.loads to do walks ,activities or just resting.we had a great day white water rafting and would love to do it again.zip wiring and bounce below in the slate mines was so good. I think people forget how beautiful wales is and would definitely be going back soon.
Susan (04 August 2018)

Apart from not been able to use the hot tub our first night there it was a beautiful place. The stream out back was just the peaceful sound I needed to relax and enjoy my time away for the kids. The staff promptly sorted the hot tub and couldnt appologise more. This stay was just what me and my partner needed.
Stacey from Hull (31 July 2018)

We had a fantastic time at ogwen bank. The natural swimming pool is stunning, the staff on reception are more than helpful, I have recommended this place to almost everyone i’ve spoken to over the last couple of weeks, it was the most perfect break.
Terri from Birmingham (24 July 2018)

Right next too zip world so that was why I booked it people in bethesda were friendly and plenty of pubs with a fish and chips shop & a kebab shop also a lovely indian bus stops half way from village to back gate of camp which is the road to zip world there is a tesco in village as well or you can take the bus too bangor loads of shops ask bus driver for a weekly pass it you don't take the car with you .buses from bangor go to most popular places
Derrick from London (21 July 2018)

I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location to stay. I really didn't want to go home. sadly we could only stay 2 nights. the pod we stayed in was top of the range, like a 5 star hotel in the woods, what more could we have asked for. staff were lovely and friendly, other visitors were the same. Just how I like it. I would live here, never mind come back again. just a stones throw away is the massive zip wire for the more thrill seeking type.
Gillian from Runcorn (21 July 2018)

11/10 loved it!
Joe from Ellesmere Port (16 July 2018)

Would have expected towels to have been provided for the price. settee's very old and uncomfortable, patio furniture very poor and unusable. no tea towel or oven gloves provided, no bath mat, only 1 dishwasher tablet no instructions for kitchen appliances. lack of additional tv, only 2 slice toaster for 6 people. we have stayed in many lodges and not had these problems / issues. the lodges could do with refurbishment.
John from Felixstowe (30 June 2018)

Very restful holiday occasionally you hear traffic to local quarry and zip slide but this was not a problem even though we had doors and windows open due to heat wave. Staff very friendly and helpful and everywhere very clean. Who highly recommended
Raymond from Halifax (29 June 2018)

We chose to stay herecascwe were visiting family and this the closest accommodation to them. We have stayed before in the 2 bedroom lodge sobyhis we our first experience of a 1 bedroom lodge. These are no e compact as you would expect but it still has a generous longer and dining area and cosy bedroom. Plenty of storage and the lodge was clean and the new carpets were lovely to walk on. Kitchen is adequate in size and facilities. The lodge location was close to the rivers edge and we had the ducks and birds queueing to be fed each morning which was a lovely way to start each morning. The overhead trees kept us well shaded from the soaring 30+ c temperatures all week. The site is well maintained and peaceful. Only downside was no table and chairs on the balcony to enjoy the outside - this is provided in thec2 bedroom lodges we have used there.
Gary from Hornchurch (29 June 2018)

This parc is located in a stunning location, 5 min walk to velocity zip world and 20 min drive to snowdon, which was perfect for our needs. Location is beautiful. We stayed in lodge 17 which suited our needs. I did feel the up keep could be better with cobwebs removed and decking brushed down prior to guests arrival. The lodge was very hot on arrival, which was slightly uncomfortable. But overall lovely and relaxing. . we ate at the restaurant every evening because the food was just delicious, they have a small menu but definitely worth trying. Staff were all pleasant and accommodating throughout our stay. Would stay here again for sure.
Laura from Southampton (25 June 2018)

Beautiful holiday park, pod was perfect. Staff all really helpful. Bar/restaurant only open in the evenings but food was lovely and reasonably priced.
Danielle from Langley, Slough (01 June 2018)

It was the eighth time we'd been as it's always a good place to relax and chill out easy to get to visit other places if wanted
Colin from Burton Latimer (25 May 2018)

Run down site in need of modernising
Garry from Burnham On Sea (25 May 2018)

Nice place, nice people - very clean. Restaurant had run out of various food & ale on the menu but apart from this, all was great.
Austin (15 May 2018)

Very comfortable accommodation shame not more facilities eg shop
Cynthia from Huddersfield (14 May 2018)

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pod and hot tub were very clean. Plenty of outdoor room on the decking with the table/chairs etc. Lovely park, prices good for drinks etc. Right next door to zipworld and only a 20 minute walk into the village centre. Lots of walking routes nearby and amazing views. . only thing is, the bed was a little difficult and left very minimal room when it was down. And we could have done with some washing up liquid and an extra loo roll. But that is if i'm being picky!. overall would definitely stay again!

Lodge was run down , broken taps, broken chairs, broken wardrobes and slippery decking which my daughter fell on. Tv was temperamental (didn't always work) and hot water was not hot enough and couldn't be turned up. Road next to lodge leading to a quarry which got busy from 5am. No shop on site and very limited menu in restaurant (though reasonably priced). disapoi yes after staying in many other lodges around the uk. This was the most expensive so I expected more. A real shame as a lovely location, site just run down and not much effort put in to maintain. 2 light bulbs not working which should have been checked before we arrived (easy job?). won't be staying here again.

A warm welcome from really lovely, helpful staff. Nice lodge right beside the river, lots of birds and squirrels right outside the lodge, very relaxing to watch. Perfect location for us. Nice walks from the lodge so didn't need to use the car everyday. Penryhn castle was fascinating, just a 10 minute drive. Anglesey is a lovely island to explore, and very close. Bethesda itself is a small town with shops including a small tesco for milk etc, 10 minutes walk from lodge. So much to see and do , highly recommend.

A great relaxing break and will be returning again next year . I think what would be good is to offer a bit more in the food range as the food we had was lovely

Lovely setting and cabin good overall but could do with re-furb in bathroom and sofa not very comfy. Basic tv channels and no wifi. The country club also lacked organisation running out of drinks and often long waits for food so eat of site if you can. Friendly and helpful staff

Was amazing! peacefull place! we will visit again! I love this place :)
Carla from Norwich (04 September 2017)

We used the park as a base to explore north wales and it was a perfect location. The facilities suited us as we ate in the restaurant one night and cooked in the cabin another. The staff in the pub were great and the lady who checked us in on friday night helped us find the places we wanted to visit, looking them up on the internet for us.
Caroline from Huddersfield (28 August 2017)

Staff very friendly and helpful, and lodge and park very clean. Excellent base with lots of other places to explore not far away. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again
Andy from Norwich (26 August 2017)

Log cabin could do with some better furniture i.e. Beds and sofa were very uncomfortable and hard. No wifi and dvd player not available in the cabin to keep the children entertained in the evening. Beautiful site and surroundings but feel that if these issues were addressed then it would have been 10/10
Nic from Retford (11 August 2017)

I have returned to ogwen seven times as a couple, as a family and with friends, never been disappointed. it is not too far from what snowdonia has to offer.
Patricia from Minster- On Sea, Kent (28 July 2017)

Nice, spacious, comfortable lodge with close parking. Only criticism was that the double bed mattress was not the most comfortable. There is some morning noise from lorries from penrhyn quarry, and from zipwire customers, but these were not too intrusive. The birdsong on site made up for it. This site is in a great position for exploring north wales, snowdonia and anglesey. The site is beautiful, with the river flowing through it. . facilities are limited but we ate off-site most days, and we planned all our leisure activities to be off-site. We did play pool on site on 5 nights, and had one takeaway meal which was good. I know we can't expect extensive facilities such as a pool on a relatively small site. Maybe some lower-budget upgrades could be made, such as a table tennis table in the games room or similar. . the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Requests for replacement light bulbs and a new toilet seat were quickly acted on. The selection of leaflets on things to do throughout the area was up-to-date and extensive (there was nothing I found that the office did not have a leaflet for!). wendy, who greeted us so warmly, was generous with her time in discussing where to go. . the friday to friday booking worked well for us. It ensured very smooth journeys from hertfordshire, with none of the nightmare of travelling on summer holiday saturdays, and it means we are ready to do activities at busy sites the day after arriving as they are often quiet on saturdays. . . we all loved our wales holiday and loved this site. My teenage children had little enthusiasm for coming to north wales before we arrived. Having got here, they immediately liked ogwen bank. They felt we had to do very little travelling around the area. Since getting home, they have both said they want to come back and stay here again. We will definitely be back!
Paul from Bishop'S Stortford (28 July 2017)

A beautiful place nestled near some truly stunning landscapes. Within walking distance of the zip world velocity site was really good for us as that was the intention of our break. . the cabin we stayed in was clean and warm, although some repairs needed such as wardrobe slats falling out and soap dish holder, but no soap dish. Just a few elements short of being worth the amount we paid for a weekend break. No oven glove, teatowel, towels or tongs. . the staff were reasonably helpful and friendly, although there seems to be a distinct seperation between the site responsibilities and the pub that is on site. . the shop is no longer stocked with anything other than towels. The pub served nice food, although lacking in desserts, proper beer or cider. . other than that a nice place to stay, but take with you everything you'd need to go camping bar the tent and bed.
Sandra from Luton (24 July 2017)

Settee too low and need new one
C J (26 June 2017)

Amazing, thoroughly enjoyed it, central location, will definitely recommend and plan to stay again!
Katheryn from Gravesend (02 June 2017)

A small compact accommodation with everything you need next to the river hot tub on the decking.
Paul from Nuneaton (30 May 2017)

Relaxing and quiet, clean and tidy, pleasant reception lady.
Judith from South Wales (29 May 2017)

Fantastic place, would go back again and again
Ange from Bristol (22 May 2017)

The comfort within the log cabin is basic. The coach is very old and provides limited support. When you sit down it feels like you are touching the floor. I spent most of my evenings sitting at the table. No wifi in the club house which caused me issues. Only one type of larger available at the time and then the next day it was bottles only.
Lee from Leeds (19 May 2017)

This was our second visit to ogwen bank. Lots of interesting places within easy reach, still more to do so may be back again. Fortunately the weather was also good for us.
Carol from Holbeach (19 May 2017)

Staff and food at pub was lovely, views beautiful local shops walking distance. Larger shops tesco bout 10/15 min drive easy to get to. . overall it's lovely friendly place and I would stay hear again
Channelle from Northamptonshire (15 May 2017)

A very enjoyable week at ogwen bank, our third time staying there, but first in one of the cabins.
Peter from Loggerheads, Market Drayton (13 May 2017)

Lovely setting, surrounded by mature trees and with river running through site. Really well kept and clean. An excellent base for exploring snowdonia. Lots of birds such as woodpeckers, tree creepers as well as bats and heard owls at night. Loved it!
Teresa from Wollaston (12 May 2017)

Absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back again!
Megan from Essex, England (01 May 2017)

Great location. Excellent staff. Comfortable, warm lodge. Extremely comfortable beds. Very acceptable bathroom and shower. Kitchen could have done with a few more things - eg oven gloves, grill pan handle which worked, mats (as hot drinks seemed to mark the table - we used a pile of disposable napkins instead). but overall very good. Would certainly go back.
David (21 April 2017)

Had a lovely holiday. Lodge was spacious and very clean. We paid for a vip lodge but it wasn't very vip, other than the hot tub, which was disappointing. food in club was great. Staff very friendly.
Sara from Chorley (15 April 2017)

Loved our break away will deff be returning
Clare from Halifax (10 April 2017)

Excellent venue for those wanting a walking holiday or to access velocity zip wire experience.
Pauline from St Helens Merseyside (31 March 2017)

An excellent site. Been several times and would recommend it
Cheryl from Blackpool (10 March 2017)

A fantastic week! beautiful scenery. Staff were extremely helpful and the lodge was stunning, I highly recommend the hot tub
James from Neath (24 February 2017)

We had a really good christmas holiday at ogwen bank holiday park
Evaldas from London (30 December 2016)

Lodge very clean on arrival, with comfortable beds and furniture. Wendy and staff very friendly and helpful at reception. good food at the country club which was reasonably priced. The park is ideally situated for so many of the attractions of snowdonia, and I would highly recommend it.
Tony from Honiton (24 September 2016)

Located in beautiful countryside , very quiet and peaceful
John (23 September 2016)

I stayed in a s-pod for somthing different was small but alright bed wasn't the most comfortable tho other than that it was good and the river flowing through the the is perfect !
Josh from Builth Wells (29 August 2016)

This is the second time we've visited. we love the setting and location which are very peaceful and convenient for snowdonia. There is also plenty of space for children to play, and there is a reasonable space between lodges. the only downside is the fact that if you want to eat out on site or nearby, there is very little on offer, and the food at the clubhouse is not that fresh and appetising and quite expensive to the extent that we tend to avoid it. there is a very good tesco express a mile away. overall though, we would go back.
Anita (06 August 2016)

The location is wonderful with direct access to ogwen valley. The lodges on the riverside have a nice view to wonderful trees and the river. The upper part of the park with is a bit messy with trees removed and no new vegetation planted.
Peter from Netherlands (18 July 2016)

Ogwen park country park is a great location. Just at the banks of the river with lots of waterfalls in surroundings. Very pleasant walkways and cycle paths. There are lovely beaches nearby and greenwood forest park which is filled up with family and children activities. Staff was very helpful. The only negative point was utensils provided were not clean but we cleaned them before cooking so it was okay.
Asawari from Birmingham (18 July 2016)

Had a fantastic holiday ..place is beautiful and log cabin clean and tidy ..furniture and carpet could do with updating tho but where very clean .

Kevin from Bath (01 July 2016)

Amazing location, with modern and convenient amenities, lovely cabins and friendly staff. It has a supermarket 5 minutes away, food on site, and great places to explore nearby.
Paulina from London (27 June 2016)

Very good location for visiting the nth wales coast, snowdonia and anglesey. there is a restaurant on site at ogwen bank. the nearby town of bethesda is a little bit limited for shops, pubs, cafes, although there is a good café with limited opening hours and a restaurant was due to open soon. bangor is only about 5 miles away. there is quite a good bus service form bethesda to bangor with connections to llandudno, caernarfon and anglesey.
Malcolm from Bristol (24 June 2016)

The park was in a beautiful location;very quiet and peaceful.yet it was within easy drive of lots of places of interest.staff very friendly. Restaurant let it down a bit but could have been due to the fact that our visit was during the euros.

Lovely peaceful setting. Lodge we stayed in had just been refurbished with new beds, sofas etc. So it was excellent. Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Lots of wildlife. Would definitely stay again in the future and would highly recommend.

This is the second time we have been to this location and we would gladly stay again. Although facilities are limited the accommodation is excellent the site is very clean the staff are pleasant and helpful. Lighting on the site is an issue when it goes dark so take a torch or your phone.

Working nearby, so great location, set nearby a beautiful white water river. We were told on arrival that no contractors were allowed but would accommodate us anyway as we were there, there was however many other contractors on site, that also were no trouble, just peacefully enjoying the lodge as we did.
Mark from Wallsend, Tyne And Wear. (16 November 2015)

My friend and I went fishing around the surrounding coastline and stayed a few days at ogwen bank. When we arrived at our accommodation we were pleasantly surprised. As soon as we opened the door it felt comfortable as the heating was on (november) and even a pint of milk in the fridge ready for a drink after our long journey. The accommodation was/is clean, spacious and comfortable in fantastically scenic surroundings. I would recommend anyone stopping there for an affordable pleasant stay.
Neil from Mansfield (16 November 2015)

We loved it so much! I would love to go back again. Amazing location with lovely staff.

The surroundings and proximity to both nature and civilisation were brilliant. The lodge was spacious and warm (in fact a little too warm) but the decking outside was a little too treacherous when wet. There was very little to do in the park. The "country club" was no more than a pub serving food. The food was nice but a little expensive and not of good quality.

Lovely location to stay, but there were a few minor probs with the accommodation. we were told that we couldn't be given oven gloves in case we burnt our fingers getting stuff out of the oven with their oven gloves and sued them, so therefore we had to get stuff out of the oven without oven gloves at all..... and burn our fingers...... apparently bringing your own towels includes tea towels and oven gloves. Our boiler went into overheatmode, so we reset it, and mentioned it to the staff. The maintenance guy reset it, and said it would be fine. he did reset it, ( just like we did) and it overheated again. I was disappointed that no one checked up with us later that it was all working. We had to reset every night. . the chalet was very clean and the staff were very friendly. X
