The hot tub wasn't hot enough and we could only use it for one of the three nights we stayed for. I called reception on our last day to get someone to have a look at it, a few hours after that I walked to reception and they said they received my call earlier and someone would look in it. We went out for dinner, and when we came back it still wasn't hot enough to sit in comfortably. . after speaking to the manager the next day she said someone was sent out and nothing was wrong with it. I've been in a hot tub many times and this definitely wasn't hot enough. . . we had a baby with us and to fit the travel cot in the large bedroom we had to re-arrange the furniture. When we booked we did say we had a baby with us. . . we had a few drinks in the bar on two separate occasions and both times there was only one person serving drinks, there were long waits. Also the entertainment wasn't great (but I understand this might of been due to the time of year, just after half term in september). . . we wanted to try an activity on site so asked reception about archery.. we were soon put off by the price of £15 each. . . on a positive note I will say the location was good, and our lodge was warm, clean and full of all appliances/ kitchen equipment we needed.
Natasha from Essex (10 October 2016)

Great place to stay
James from Swindon (10 October 2016)

Fantastic short break made even better by having good weather
Jesse from Somerset (10 October 2016)

We love hampshire as the new forest is beautiful and the weather is always pretty good when we holiday there.oakdene forest is a great base to see the sights.the staff were great upon check in,they even let us have our caravan early as we had brought our pet house rabbit and needed to set up his pen and get him out of his carrier after the long drive.the caravan was clean, and warm and in great condition, definitely would stay again
Nicholas from Yelverton (07 October 2016)

Great super saver accommodation
Hayley from Poulton Le Fylde (01 October 2016)

Great place to stay, new forest is lovely, nice for attractions, comfortable lodge to come back to in the evenings.
Paul from Essex (01 October 2016)

Fantastic place to stay. Could not fault anything. Staff fantastic and friendly, willing to assist. Facilities open as advertised. Exceptional clean and well presented park .
Donna from Romford (30 September 2016)

Absolutely brilliant
Garry from London (26 September 2016)

I loved staying at oakdene forsest, the location was perfect. We stayed in a standard caravan which was perfect and there was no faults. . . there were lots to do on the site but my expectations were higher, everything was quite small, I didn't expect a queue and a wait for the swimming pool which was at maximum capacity, and we visited a weekend at the end of september so not peak season. . overall we enjoyed our stay as we like baking our own entertainment, and my children loved taking their bikes into the forest.
Karen from Cardiff (26 September 2016)

Stayed in off peak season with a 2 year old and 4 year old. park caters for all ages with children's entertainment and activities during the day and evening. very friendly and helpful staff. indoor heated swimming pool with baby pool and water slide as well as a gym and jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. crazy golf, play area and right on the forest which is great for exploring and playing. caravans are well spaced out so does not have the feeling of over crowding like some. on site store and bar/restaurant
Julia from Kent (26 September 2016)

Had a lovely relaxing week & would definitely go back again. The lodge & hot tub were a lovely
Sarah from London (24 September 2016)

Brilliant loved it
Karen from Sheffield (23 September 2016)

Amazing place
Terry from Brighton (19 September 2016)

This is the third time we went to oakedene and we love it. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The woods are gorgeous! perfect for a walk with the dogs.
Ana (19 September 2016)

Good
Dina from Chesham (19 September 2016)

The lodge we stayed in was gorgeous we had the best holiday.we had lots of day trips poole harbour, monkey world, poltons theme park, moors valley, tank museum and so much more oakdene is central for all of this.my boys loved the pool, evening entertainment wasn't great but we still had a fantastic holiday
Natasha from Southend (16 September 2016)

The caravan was very nice. Pool was nice and warm. Staff very helpful. Nice having a meal in the restaurant but nothing to do after as there was no entertainment.
Xenia from Paignton Devon (16 September 2016)

This is the 2nd visit to oakdene in as many years and what a difference a year makes. our first visit was fantastic, the staff were really helpful and the pool was just right for a swim and in the evening there was some sort of entertainment every night. The staff had to work hard as it was after the schools had gone back, but still there were quizzes, karaoke general chit chat. However this year there was nothing!!! with the addition of a to in the acorn bar apparently nothing can interrupt the football!!! now i'm a keen football fan but on holiday there are more important things. 10 pm and staff asking if we want a quiz? not acceptable. There were no singers booked no karaoke. Very very disappointed!! one evening in the search for some form of recreation I took my daughter into the arcade area. While we were playing a game of pool park staff did no more than turn off all the machines for the night. It was 10pm!!!! for the amount we paid for this we are disgusted at the major lack of effort by the park organisers. Sorry oakdene but you have lost our future trade. this will reflect in my review of the park. Happy to take our money with no effort put into us !!! dreadful.
Nick (16 September 2016)

Reception not very helpful or understanding. Entertainment poor. Accomodation good.
Jeffrey from Huddersfield (16 September 2016)

The caravan was lovely, I just wish it had had an nice outside balcony area where our 23 month old grandson could ride up and down safely on his little bike, while we could sit and watch him.
Margaret from Basingstoke (12 September 2016)

A great 3 day break we will be back thankyou
Sherryann from Shropshire (12 September 2016)

We had a great time at the caravan park and would recommend it to anyone. . the only slight negatives were the very late check in times (4pm) and lack of information about the differences between the standards of caravan, the same pictures are used so it is hard to tell what you are actually paying the extra for.
Anthony from Tisbury (09 September 2016)

The location of this park is not the best but we had a lovely time, breakfast in the bar was fantastic and great value.
Elizabeth (05 September 2016)

Well looked after. Accommodation and facilities very good and a great location to attack the new forest. 2nd visit for us and oakdene was better than we remembered. Would return if staying in the area again.
Robert from Axbridge (03 September 2016)

We stayed in a lodge with its own hot tub, lovely and clean with lots of room for the four of us. Own parking space, bbq stand and even an extra en suite. Had a problem with the hot tub heating but was fixed straight away and was tested every day by the staff. Had to use the laundry facilities but quite expensive at £5 a wash and £1 for 15 minutes drying and they don't buy back your tokens. Swimming pool was good with indoor and outdoor facilities and a water slide. Evening entertainment was good with some singers, bingo etc the kids enjoyed the arcades and went into the new virtual reality room a few times and absolutely loved it (very expensive though for what it is, could do with a review on the prices I think). the on site shop is very good and well stocked not to pricey either but 5 minutes up the road is a sainsburys/boots/mcdonal ad's and numerous pub resturants along the main road. We didn't eat in the on site restaurant so cannot comment but was always busy in there. Location is great for excursions, we went to stonehenge, bournmouth etc. Would stay again in one of the lodges as we couldn't find any fault with it but would need to look at the price as it was quite expensive for the summer holidays.
Sarah from Kent (03 September 2016)

Had a lovely stay at oakdene with the family. It's in a nice setting and we're impressed how clean the site was particularly the caravan. The pools, arcade and play area were great for the kids and evening entertainment met our expectations. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Jonathan from Wirral (03 September 2016)

Very nice holiday we all had very clean place to stay lovely friendly helpful staff set in a beautiful location with beautiful walks in the forest. Very modern clean accommodation.would highly recommend would definitely come again. Very good facilities.
Susan from Milton Keynes (02 September 2016)

Great holiday with lots of activities. Only issue was the price of some activities as they were quite expensive.
Claire from London (02 September 2016)

Surprisingly quiet around the caravan despite the site being busy. Great location for cycling in the new a forest and popping to the coast. Friendly staff and fellow holidaymakers, with sensible walking speed driving around the site helping to make it a safe environment for children.
Mark from Reading (02 September 2016)

Lovely caravan. Great places to visit in the area whilst there but evening entertainment was lacking and activities where more for younger children.
Carol from Rochester (02 September 2016)

The activities advertised were grossly overpriced and when booking the activities the staff made no mention that the activities were more for smaller children than teenagers and adults. It was a waste of money to spend £200 on activities that my teenage children found rather mundane. Next time inform the customer beforehand instead of just taking their money!
Alan (02 September 2016)

Holiday was great although the entertainment in the evening could have been better. e.g. Live acts etc. music a little disjointed for kids etc.
Richard from Dronfield (02 September 2016)

Had a wonderful time.
Jenny from London (29 August 2016)

Hot tub was leaking..we couldn't use it at all and when asked to have it fixed this did not happen. we paid a premium price for a feature that we did not get to use
Shilpa (29 August 2016)

Really loved the quality of static caravan, layout of caravans and facilities being close by - pool, forest, shop, archery. As well as being able to drive to the beach within a short distance and local supermarket if need be.
Angela from Ashford (29 August 2016)

Caravan lovely, area fantastic as direct access to hurn forest. I expected the facilities for activities to be amazing, very disappointed. Food was not good, nothing healthy available. The lifeguard in the indoor swimming pool was rude to other people but still took over half an hour to notice people playing with a ball and bouncing it off people heads, even though a huge notice said ' no ball games'. evening entertainment was poor. All the accomadation looked nice and the site was well presented. Extra charge of £15 on arrival for gas and electric..never had to do this at other sites and we didn't even use the oven so how can they charge that when they don't know how much you are going to use? may aswell add that to the price of the caravan, a rip off! twin room bus very uncomfortable.
Michelle (29 August 2016)

Caravan was prestine and clean within a peaceful location - forrest access for walks was excellent as was the location for travelling to & from local shops - ideal base if you don't want a noisy park - local attractions (paultons park, new forrest , monkey world, tank museum) within easy driving distance 30 mins mostly - swimming pool was functional and reasonably sized (just a little dated) - staff very helpful and friendly - will be going back again very soon *****
Craig (22 August 2016)

Lovely holiday park, lovely caravan. Complex was small but nice. Found evening entertainment quiet for august but didn't stop us taking over the dance floor!
Samantha from Egham (22 August 2016)

Really enjoyed it. Mobile home was great and space was good for the family. Only thing missing at the park is some green space to go and just kick a ball around.
Lorraine from Wokingham (15 August 2016)

Great use of the outdoor and indoor pools. Lovely modern caravan. Rubbish entertainment available for my children and parents. No take away food available.
Emma from Tonbridge (15 August 2016)

Site was clean with beautiful surroundings. the only reservation I would have is that we were placed in a caravan behind a row of caravans in front of us, and if the row in front had all been occupied we would not have been able to gain vehicular access to and from our caravan.
Sarah from Bedfordshire (15 August 2016)

Had a lovely week in august with our 5 children, oakdene is in a brilliant location and the caravan was better than we had expectes the staff are very helpful and the food good from the restaurant and the pub across the road entertainment team are brilliant kids had a ball. My only criticism is the place wud really benefit from an outdoor area to eat and drink.
Shelley from Atherton (15 August 2016)

Visited th his site now four times. caravans excellent!
Gary from Stafford (15 August 2016)

Lovely holiday
Lynsey from Dover (15 August 2016)

Having previously been an owner here I was shocked to find that everything now has to be booked and paid for. Entertainment during the day is shocking, no kids club anymore just activities run by goactive that cost a ridiculous fortune (£6 for 15 minutes to climb a wall??) they now shut the pool between 12 and 4 to run paid for activities so if you're thinking of entertaining the kids for a while before dinner forget it!! the evening "entertainment" was also awful. Drinks are expensive but the food was nice even if it is overpriced. The mattress in our caravan was awful, we hardly slept for the week and came home with bruises from the springs poking through! plus points, the staff were polite and helpful, the pool was clean, the facilities were all well maintained and our caravan was modern and clean on arrival. If you're looking for something to do on site play mini golf, it's only £1 each and about the only thing you won't get ripped off on! I was looking forward to seeing old friends and as great as this was I definitely won't go back to oakdene.
Sam from Dartford (13 August 2016)

Very clean and well maintained site. It was surprisingly quiet considering it was in school holidays and busy. The food in the restaurant was good value.
Janet from Skipton (13 August 2016)

Had a wonderful time at oakdene, the caravan was very clean and had all the equipment needed, the entertainment was superb with somme excellent entertainers who kept the kids very happy.
Darren from Exeter (13 August 2016)

To many items are charged at as an extra such as gas for the home, entertainment and sports on site. On the plus side the site is clean and tidy and the children's play area has been updated: on the minus side the crazy golf (which is charged for) is ancient and very rough round the edges. I would stay there as it is close to bournemouth and it has great beaches!
Robert from Nottingham (12 August 2016)

Very peaceful site, staff very nice. Facilities very well looked after. Entertainment was ok for the kids albeit a little repetitive, but the entertainment team worked hard and very enthusiastic,in a good way. Could not fault our saver van, my sister upgraded and her van was very nice too.
Richard from Flitwick (12 August 2016)

Whilst the holiday park was very clean and tidy, there didn't seem enough to do in scale to the size of the overall site. then the things that we did do we had to pay for, the outdoor swimming pool was absolutely freezing, so we didn't use it. :-(
Sarah from Hoddesdon (12 August 2016)

Fantastic park set in a lovely area. The indoor pool is not that big so got very busy being summer holidays. Evening entertainment was very poor for older children and adults as no cabaret shows during the week and there's only so many party dances to do. All activities were well led and the instructors were very good. Restaurant on site served lovely food if a bit pricey.
Claire from Tunbridge Wells (12 August 2016)

Lovely park. Not loads to do on it but that's fine. Entertainment team worked well in evenings
Ellen from Northampton (12 August 2016)

Very very clean caravan . excellent location
Jennifer from Worcester Park (12 August 2016)

Lovely clean caravan in a beautiful quiet location of the park. the only little grumble I could have was that the shower in main bedroom en suite wasn't very good. cold trickling water with no pressure. no worries as we shared the shower with the twin room. brilliant park and I would defiantly recommend it.
Sian from Bangor (12 August 2016)

Great friendly staff, good value location. the caravan was spotless and new. The restaurant service and food could do with some improvement though.
Bruce (08 August 2016)

Everything was just great , we had 3 caravans between 6 adults 2 kids 1 toddler, we all had great time, this was our 2nd time at oakdene, shall be back again and again, only bad thing was the caravan that myself and my husband where in smelt badly of cigarette smoke, probably not staff fault, but previous occupants , the smell kept me awake every night, the other 2 caravans had no problems.
Angela from Thanet (08 August 2016)

We had a really nice holiday at the park the facilities were clean and well maintained. Staff were very helpful and polite. Our caravan was really nice it was spacious and well equipped. The park was in a good location with was access to the coast and new forest. Only small issue I had was with the price of the soft drinks. I was going to buy 3 small cokes for my children but they were £2.30 each. This I think is excessive especially when they are just out of a pump.
Stephen (08 August 2016)

The only problem was being woken up every night by people leaving the club house. Shouting and talking to loud, other than that it was a very plesant stay.
Philip (08 August 2016)

Unfortunately we found the facilities and entertainment was predominantly for children under 6. The outdoor pool was only for splashing in not for adults or older children. Evening entertainment was also for very young children up until at least 9.30pm - we then gave up.
Lynda from Rickmansworth (08 August 2016)

Nice clean caravan, staff were friendly and helpful. Nice little gym. Ideally situated for new forest, bournemouth, poole etc.
Mark (06 August 2016)

I came here with my grandchildren and they loved staying in the caravan and using the swimming pool with its flume and play area. the caravan was lovely and had everything we needed and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I can't think of a nicer place to come for a holiday with local forests, beaches and attractions.
Marion from Knebworth (06 August 2016)

Great place only downside was people opening fire exits at night when kids were enjoying show, spent most the night trying to keep an eye on my little uns from running outside and out of sight
Matthew (05 August 2016)

Fantastic holiday, loads to do on and off the park. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the evening entertainment was great for children and adults.
Scott from Suffolk (05 August 2016)

Lovely park and setting but the surrounding roads are just too busy and congested so it takes an age to get anywhere. . too many activities are payable when you get there, and quite expensive. . the park itself is lovely, the staff were really helpful and although we booked a basic caravan we were really impressed with it. It was modern, spacious and very clean.
Samantha from Brighton (05 August 2016)

Very clean well laid out site with very good caravan. Restaurant was very good value for money with prompt service and good food. Very good swimming pool especially for youngsters.
Royston from Abridge (05 August 2016)

Lovely place, safe for kids , good quality caravans. We will go again.
Mandy (05 August 2016)

Re booked when we got back home and same caravan to
Jeanette from Luton Bedfordshire (05 August 2016)

Had the best time, 3 mums and 3 young children - the kids just loved the pools, disco and entertainment. Thank you so much xx
Laura from Crowborough (01 August 2016)

My children aged 6 and 9 loved their 3 nights at oakdene especially the pool and evening entertainment.
Paula from Woking (01 August 2016)

Lots of facilities and activities for children.
Linda (01 August 2016)

Facilities a bit tired, kids clubs were great but you have to pay extra, cleanliness of lodge was not perfect. . I didn't like that you couldn't check in until after 4.00pm and then had to be out by 10.00am - essentially losing an entire day's holiday. Otherwise we had a good family holiday here - plenty to do locally.
Nikki from Cheshire (01 August 2016)

Kids had fun would visit oakdene again.
Trudy from Surrey (29 July 2016)

The chalet was excellent. It had everything you could possibly require. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place spotlessly clean. the staff were helpful with the hot tub, which they kept clean and checked each day for chemicals required. the area was also quiet. we were very pleased with it and would certainly book again.
Margaret from St Neots, Cambs (29 July 2016)

The site and lodge were clean, the site was next to a forest and a short drive to the new forest, poole and bournemouth.
Gary from Norwich (29 July 2016)

It was very pleasant again although caravan very hot on the hot days not surprisingly.
Lennox from Turriff (25 July 2016)

Our stay was fantastic. Great base to visit other locations, ie poole, bournemouth, etc. there were supermarkets and fastfood outlets just round the corner. my 12 year old son loved the onsite facilities and was kept well occupied while we were onsite. The only critisism was the property cleanliness. the windows were really dirty, particularly the kitchen window. We had to keep the blind closed so as not to see the dirt. the fridge/freezer had marks on the front which just needed wiping off. just a proper clean required to dust off the cobwebs. bedding was clean. . personally, I think the booking in time of 4pm is late. 2pm has always been the time we have been able to gain access. we were sat in the car park for a while. cleaners passing by asked us if we were waiting to gain access at about 3.45 pm. They checked on the walkie talkie and were told the property was actually ready. Reception then released the key. We did actually walk round to the property when we had booked in at 2.30 pm and it appeared to be ready. Only complaint was that the hot tub was not ready. I would have thought that by the time we had booked in, this facility we had paid for would have been ready. Overall, oakdene appeared to be a fab site
Caren from Barnsley (25 July 2016)

Was our first holiday with our 1 and 3 year old and it was lovely. Will definatly go back. Also not far from peppa pig world and the gorgeous new forest
Carla from Horsham (22 July 2016)

Very enjoyable and had good weather which was a bonus.
Ann from Devon (22 July 2016)

Was a bit disappointed that we could not take family photographs around the outdoor pool area.
Michael from Hartlepool (22 July 2016)

We loved our short break, the caravan was beautiful and we were very impressed with what was available to use both on site and in the caravan, more than we expected! the entertain was great also and both our daughters loved their holiday. . . we loved our stay so much that we are hoping to stay again next year :)
Adriena from Romsey (18 July 2016)

Pretty much nothing to do here. We had to go to another resort to enjoy activities. Costa machine never worked there. Wifi never worked in our cabin although we raised it with staff many times. I would suggest more adult activities e.g. Bike hire or treks around the woods.
Mims (18 July 2016)

Very nice van, pity all the coat hangers were either broken or useless. But apart from that would definitely recommend this site.
Virginia from Worcester (16 July 2016)

As we were only there for 3 days we did not use the facilities. We did find access to the caravan for our disabled son as he has a hemephere of his brain removed and only has the full use of his left side, so he found it difficult to exit the steps with only 1 handrail and we gave him the master bedroom because the other single beds were not wide enough. But I am sure we could rectify this when we next visit!. the dogs loved the forest walks, it spoiled them for coming back home!. thank you!!!
Barry from Chorley, Lancashire (15 July 2016)

Peaceful, lovely spacious caravan, excellent shop on site.
Alan from Seaford (15 July 2016)

I loved oakdene , staff are very friendly. we were very lucky the weather was lovely. There needs to be an outdoor area near the bar to have a drink in the sunshine.
Samantha from Darford (15 July 2016)

Good place to stay lovely clean caravan can be a bit noisy if you stay in the suppers savere 3 caravan as it does not have double glazing but that is only a problem if you have noisy neighbours did not use the go active but did use the pool which was actually lovely and warm would definitely recommend this place and would return
Paula from Scotland (11 July 2016)

Perhaps for the 4 yr old we could have been closer to the beaches for which we had a long drive to accomplish the aim..locally though, plenty of attractions..theme parks or safe walking areas..details and leaflets held at reception..essential shops, eating establishments and supermarkets are in plentiful supply in the locality..on site eating was mixed, ok perhaps..
Michael from Chesterfield Derbyshire (09 July 2016)

Lovely holuday, would have been nice to have s dog friendly area/ garden so we could all enjoy the bar/ restaurant together rather than in shifts
Carolin from High Wycombe (08 July 2016)

Enjoyed it very much. Lovely and clean and had everything we needed
Alexis (04 July 2016)

We had a great time .lovely site ,very clean unhelpful staff
Hazel from Bury St Edmunds (02 July 2016)

Great break away from it all with our dog
Judy from Rainham Kent (01 July 2016)

Am being advertised as a family welcoming place didn't think there was much for young children. Pool was closed on one day and was too busy the other day with no alternative put in place. Wouldn't go again! lucky we knew the area and ventures in to bournemouth for the day!
Simon (27 June 2016)

Comfortable caravan, friendly staff & good base to explore surrounding attractions from
Karen from Sutton (27 June 2016)

Beautiful surroundings, nice staff, good meals at restaurant. Excellent site we would return.
Janice from Maltby Le Marsh Lincolnshire (27 June 2016)

To much bad to put in a review
Customer 95 (25 June 2016)

Nice relaxing holiday
Michael from Northallerton (24 June 2016)

Very very impressed and great value for money
Emma from Holmfirth (20 June 2016)

I loved this caravan. The site was brillant. Had a lovely long weekend away.
Matthew (20 June 2016)

Not a lot on site and what is there is poor it's ok if u don't want to use the club to which I never did but I did use the pool which was very good but it's a shame adults don't get longer to use the pool
Rachael from Kent (18 June 2016)

Don't leave anything when you leave it never gets returned
Joanne (17 June 2016)

After staying at oakdene for the last 10yrs, there has been little change other than all the caravans now look the same, and the site has grown very rapidly, but facilities are still fine. It's perfect to take dogs, with the hurn forest only yards away, ideal to give dogs a run. the pool and sauna/ steam room are lovely, and a added bonus. a good base to explore from, with the lovely town of ringwood minutes away, and the new forest just a short trip. Would stay again, in fact next years is already booked.
Ailsa from Chelmsford (17 June 2016)

Comfortable accommodation helpful staff and clean tidy site
Michael from Lancaster (13 June 2016)

Had a lovely time at this park. The restaurant was very busy on our first night there so we decided to go to the pub on the motorway. This was the right decision as we heard the next day, the wait was long and people complaint about the service too. . the other thing is that the changing rooms for pool could be clearer.
Sze from London (13 June 2016)

I visited outside school holidays with my friend and had a lovely time. At school holiday time this is an ideal site to visit with children but would imagine it would be a nightmare for older people, like myself and my friend, as there probably would be no peace and quiet. The location is excellent for visiting the rest of dorset and also the new forrest which we did. The only downside is getting out onto the main road as it is a dual carriageway and a busy one at that. On the whole the site and caravans were excellently maintained with a forest just a minute way with lovely walks. Would certainly visit this site again but not in school holidays !!.
Melvine from Ormskirk (11 June 2016)

Lovely time would come back today lovely place
Daryl (10 June 2016)

Very pleasant location much improved from when we stayed before many years ago. Caravan was better than expected and the facilities much improved.
Ann from Gillingham (10 June 2016)

Wasn't happy that when we arrived we had to pay for the gas and electric we were not aware this want included.
Jacqueline from Essex (10 June 2016)

We have a 2 year old son and found there was loads for him to do. The caravan itself was more than we expected and was very clean on arrival. Loved the hot tub and it was checked everyday by staff.
Abbie from Wales (10 June 2016)

The most helpful staff I have encountered during a holiday.
Judi from Exeter (03 June 2016)

This is a good site with excellent facilities overall. The location is very good, being right beside the forest, yet handy for outings. We found the staff helpful and informed. The value for money was just about right for half-term.
Evelyn from Yeovil (03 June 2016)

We had a great time but had to leave the site to get a meal first night meal on the site was not eatable.
Jenny (03 June 2016)

Lovely holiday would go back and recommend
Tracey from Chelmsford (03 June 2016)

Lovely stay.. plenty too do
Confirmed Holidaymaker (03 June 2016)

Good quiet location
Christine from Crawley (03 June 2016)

Caravan was tired and dirty feeling. I know we had dogs but there is no need to offer such a scruffy looking van. ground surrounding van was scrub and weedy. outside surround was dirty as was the furniture outside. advertised as dog friendly yet absulutely no where to go with dogs. no outside seating areas for the cafes or outside areas we could sit with dogs apart from the back of the club house with it's dirty glasses and cigarette butts urghh. caravan advertised as accomodation for six yet only had two dinner plates. when we asked for more ( there were five of us) we were only able to get another two. shop on site appallingly run. one day I stood waiting to be served for a good 5/6 minutes and no staff to be seen. I walked around the shop to find an open door and the smell of cigarette smoke wafting out, which apparently was the back warehouse for the shop and the only member of staff standing by the back door having a cigarette. no apologies given. Would never recommend this site to anyone.
Wendy from Somerset (03 June 2016)

Such a lovely place will defo be back xx
Dawn from Scotland (30 May 2016)

You had to pay for every childrens active activity. Zorbing 5 mins £5. Rock climbing £6 15 mins. . mini golf needs redecorating.
Fiona from Epsom (30 May 2016)

Fantastic
Stuart from High Wycombe (23 May 2016)

The accommodation was great apart from fact hot tub was not working in our last night so we decided to leave early. They did eventually fix it but by then we had packed up. We took two dogs. The walking facilities were great but there were no dog friendly facilities like a beer garden or somewhere to get a snack whilst with dogs.
Brian from Farnborough (20 May 2016)

Amazing last minute break. We will definitely return
Vicky from Walsall (16 May 2016)

We had a lovely stay. The lodge had everything we needed and the hot tub was amazing. We came home really relaxed. We will book again
Philip (16 May 2016)

Been to oakdene a few times now, love the pool, sauna, steam room, lovely. Love travelling to nearby burley and lyndhurst. Not to far to bournemouth (approx 9 miles). caravan was excellent, and love going to see the new forest ponies. Love it.
Annette from London (14 May 2016)

Our staff took a resident with severe learning disabilities to oakdene for a holiday. Lodge was very spacious and modern. Facilities were great and our resident made the most of the hot tub! we will be back
Sam from Southampton (13 May 2016)

Lodges are great, surroundings peaceful & quiet. Facilities well they are pretty poor, outdoors is lovely here but want a coffee, nowhere to sit outside, want a drink, have plastic glasses if you want to sit by the play area the bar doesn't even have a window let alone an outside space. This park needs some serious tlc in the public areas and the outside space developing so you can enjoy the lovely surroundings.
Beverley from Poole (09 May 2016)

Fantastic, relaxing holiday.
Laura from London (06 May 2016)

We brought our dog with us as the caravan site allowed but he wasn't allowed anywhere - no where we could sit and get a coffee/food with our dog on site. the on site shop was very small, not well stocked and over priced. Also disappointed to see that costs express meant a vending machine.
Sara from Ware (02 May 2016)

We always come to oakdene forest to relax and unwind and this holiday did just that. Great location close to the forest, so some lovely walks with the dog and access to a great swimming pool is a bonus too.
Sherry from Hastings (29 April 2016)

We love it here it's so relaxing we have already booked to come back next year . would highly recommend it here
Sarah from Salisbury (18 April 2016)

We have great holidays here and are always lucky with the weather.
Martyn from Oxtedsurrey (15 April 2016)

The road leading to oakdene is rough, the speed humps when entering the site are too high causing severe shanking of both passengers and contents, not good when you have certain medical conditions. The accommodation was clean, but if you expect some form of internet forget it no signal anywhere so enjoy the peace and quite. The whole site is a little tired but serviceable, enjoyed our stay ideal location for the south coast and new forest.
John from Selby (15 April 2016)

Brilliant place to stay for a weekend and will come again
Jade from Eastleigh (11 April 2016)

Fab holiday with 3 babies staying in the signature lodge. Just like home! with added bonus of a hot tub. Will be booking again. We went to monkey world & peppa pig world whilst on our holiday.
Melanie from Caerphilly (11 April 2016)

It was a very good holiday. Children (aged 7 and 9) enjoyed it. They really wants to go back there again.
John from Camberley (11 April 2016)

Fabulous location, really helpful staff and lost fo things to do. Entertainment on site was great too - definitely come again . really great family fun.
Amanda from Welling, Kent (11 April 2016)

Great time with the family and our dog!. . oaken has everything you need to have a great holiday. . . extremely friendly staff.
Ana from St Albans (11 April 2016)

Really enjoy the stay my 3 year old loves it !! small place , but excellent for safety and allowing children to enjoy
Maria from Swindon (08 April 2016)

Pool only available at limited times for normal swimming. Other activities are taking place in the pool for kids and other groups, activities you need to pay for e.g. Inflatables. Therefore what limited times there were had lots of people in. If you enjoy a swim find another park.
Paul (08 April 2016)

Dirty lodge, poorly maintained hot tub. Dis-interested staff!
Denise from Essex (08 April 2016)

It was a disaster from beginning to end and no one was bothered
Pamela from Portsmouth (08 April 2016)

Had a lovely, relaxing time. Was really good to have the activities for the kids (and more appropriate for the older kids) - they especially enjoyed sea kayaks & sea scooters - although nothing as they were expecting. Some may expect to be kayaking when they sign up for sea kayaks... service in the restaurant was very slow and poor and would not return.
Ruth from Croydon (28 March 2016)

Very good gym. Table tennis is outdoor and exposed so not great but was free. Pool table and darts were good-darts free. Decent shop and restaurant-enjoyed dinner there. All staff were friendly. Did not use swimming pool.
Alan from Luton (28 March 2016)

Great easter time break with lots of activities for the children. Easily located from the main road for those who travel far with children
Kate (28 March 2016)

Caravan was a reasonable size but the en-suite and bathroom were small particularly the former. Heating was effective during a cold march stay and the hot water was constant. Staff courteous and pleasant. The gym facilities were good with plenty of the basic equipment required for an effective workout. Swimming pool adequate and small pool good for very young children. Showers require improvement and there should be male and female facilities. . would prefer all charges to be included at time of booking and not to have to pay additionally for extras such as gas and electricity on arrival even though this is specified when booking.
Clive from Ashford (18 March 2016)

We have stayed in many lodges over england. I must say it was far the best and we will be staying again. Thank you
Richard from London (14 March 2016)

Great site with fab pool. Nice to have adult early swim sessions.
Rachael from Eastbourne (14 March 2016)

Wonderful location, great site chalet great will definitely be returning
Anthony from Kent (14 March 2016)

Nice
Clare from Kent (14 March 2016)

Excellent
Kevin (07 March 2016)

Although we went early spring they was still plenty to do in the area as well as the complex. We were surprised that we were checked in straight away into our accommodation as we arrived earlier than anticipated. The caravan was spotlessly clean and very well located near the entrance to the forest. Entertainment was still available which was a surprise to us but we get wanted a bit of peace and quiet so the beers & chips when down nicely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were great.
Neville from Greenwich (29 February 2016)

Outside of lodge was very shabby, however bed very comfortable.
Colin from Bicester (26 February 2016)
