The one problem I had was check in we were there earlier fill in forms had to go back and que to get key, it would be better if there was a staggered check in or somewhere else to get key.
Pat from Carlisle (03 September 2018)

Had a great time and the value for money was unbelievable location of our caravan to the reception/swimming pool/parks/clubhouse was perfect couldn’t have asked to be closer I no it is the luck of the draw but it enhanced our experience. My two children (2 and 4) loved every second as did me my partner and mother so the park was good for all age groups. I will definitely go back and poultons park was such an easy drive from the site
Jack from Plymouth (03 September 2018)

What a disappointment! certainly not the luxury lodge we expected! . . the lodge was old, tired and absolutely filthy! . there was a hole in the kitchen floor, dust and cobwebs all over the accommodation, kitchen cupboards and worktops were sticky. The bathroom and ensuite had mould and the floor had build ups of dust and grime along the edges. The sheets were ripped and frayed as were the towels. The hot tub lid was broken and took two of us to lift off (and get soaked in the process as half of it sank under the surface of the water). . the restaurant food was lovely and the staff in there were pleasant but that couldn't make up for our disappointment of our accommodation. We had booked some go active activities and the leaders were great. . . . would not recommend at all!
Karen (03 September 2018)

Poor location off main road. Staff not interested and food poor quality
Kevin from Ipswich (03 September 2018)

We are a family of 5,2 adults and 3 children. We stayed for 3 nights at oakdene and had a brilliant time!. staff were friendly, pools were lovely, caravan was fab and clean!. we went to beaulieu motor museum which was a fantastic day out! we then went to moor valley country park which is basically round the corner and that was also a brilliant day out! we didn't eat on site at oakdene so can't comment on the food. The one bad thing I think of from the whole weekend was the cocktail I ordered. My husband believes that the barman put no alcohol in it at all and it tasted like there was none in there as well. Entertainment was ok. Kids enjoyed it. Overall the site was peaceful but had lots of things to do in and around it! would definitely visit again!!
Jenny from Exeter (03 September 2018)

The park was very nice, clean and tidy. Lot's to do for children. Caravan was modern and clean.
Zoe from Swindon (02 September 2018)

We really like the camp, location and facilities. Compared to others we have stayed at this park is always clean and the caravans have also always been clean and tidy.
Michelle (31 August 2018)

With the exception of the crazy golf being dirty and wilfully neglected, then when I requested a broom to sweep away the water, leaves and long standing dirt! I was told I couldn't have a broom because I hadn't been trained to use same and the staff weren't interested in doing anything about it. otherwise everything was very goo
Jon from Nailsea (31 August 2018)

Accommodation was dirty on arrival - sofa covered in stains and a muddy floor. . took several attempts to resolve. . swimming pool changing rooms were dirty and swimming pool itself was rather boring very younger children.
Ryan from Ashford (31 August 2018)

Vans far too close together, could see our neighbours on the toilet! could also hear neighbouring children running up and down their vans, just too close no space at all in between. Evening entertainment far too loud, every night 6:30pm to midnight so loud you can here the compare on the microphone and the words of every song playing. Too loud for our son to sleep each night, and kept us awake. We had a van for 6 people, dining table only big enough for 4? someone had to eat dinner on the sofa off their lap each night. Swimming pool needs a good clean, mould needs removing. Mini golf needs revamping. Restaurant was well priced decent food.
Joanne (31 August 2018)

We loved this place so much, we will be back soon.
Heather (31 August 2018)

Nice holiday camp very & tidy just outside amenities a bit to far
Jason (31 August 2018)

Great holiday - we have stayed in many parks and when we booked this we didn’t expect much for the price, but we were wrong! great surroundings! kids loved the activities and entertainment which is a first for our lot! swimming pools great fun, indoor pool nice and warm and great slide. Restaurant was good with great food. Definitely looking to go there again!
Paul from Esher (27 August 2018)

The caravan was nice and clean and we were happy with that. The pool was good and warm. However the arcade was out dated and a lot of the machines did not work, it was very disappointing. . the activities were not good at all. My son did the jet skis but they were inside and he only had a small amount of room. The member of staff didn’t even get in the water. We also booked the water walkers which my son was really looking forward to. When we arrived we were told it was cancelled. Given I had to supply my email address and phone number when booking the activities, I think someone could have let me know so I could have managed my six year olds disappointment saving the tears and upset we experienced. For a go active park, it was very disappointing
Marie from Southampton (27 August 2018)

Set in a lovely area with plenty to do either on or off site. Kids (and bigger kids) enjoyed the pools while I made use of the gym.
Robert from Norwich (27 August 2018)

We enjoyed our visit to oakdene. The caravan was a supreme 2 bed and was better than expected. We didn’t just have an additional toilet, we had two shower rooms. We used the amusements and the swimming pool which were good. The whole complex was quite clean and tidy. We could hear the noise from the entertainment and people talking as they went back to their caravans. That’s only to be expected as we were quite close to the main building, which did have its advantages.
Karen from Oxford (27 August 2018)

The location on the a31 is great. But the accommodation we had as a sublime 3 with hot tub was overlooked and had a view of the next caravan with no privacy. The clubhouse is quite dated and the restaurant was enclosed with no windows. On the other hand the indoor pool was good and the staff were very friendly, professional, polite and helpful.
Customer 17 from Kent (27 August 2018)

Lodge not clean, they offered to send the cleaners back but I did it myself, I don’t expect it to be as clean as my own home but I do expect for the money paid a standard and it did not meet this! spent 2 hours cleaning! later found out that the cleaners only get 20 minuets to clean so not really their fault! also the lodges could do with a refurb! the hot tub was very very clean and the men came everyday to treat so excellent on that front! the park was nice and facilities where good too. also when they say online the beach’s are only a few miles away this is incorrect they are about 14 miles away, so roughly half an hour in the car which was fine but the website should say this. overall a nice stay but a few things that could be improved upon.
Joanna from Buxton, Derbyshire (24 August 2018)

This holiday has been one of the best the caravan was absolutely beautiful
Philip from Carshalton Surrey (24 August 2018)

I was so disappointed when I saw what the park had to offer. The park was a joke it had three items to play on and that was it. The so called crazy golf was shocking, in a tiny area and not exciting at all and pretty poor standard. The swimming pool was fine but the changing room smelt rotten and so so dirty. The entire park needs a face lift it looks like it hasn't been touched in years. The entire park needs a revamp I do not think it has been up dated in years. No intention of going back.
Kelly (24 August 2018)

Great holiday, lots to do on site and surrounding area :-)
Pam from Abingdon (24 August 2018)

We had a great time ,we did pay extra for hot tub that we could not use for 2 days as it needed a new control panel.so we did feel that it should have been noticed before we arrived and sorted.so did feel abit cheated
Irene from Hythe (24 August 2018)

Had a great stay. Kids enjoyed using the pool. Caravan very clean and well kept. Only let down were uncomfortable beds.
Jo (20 August 2018)

We had a great holiday, but feel that shorefield is becoming too commercial and is now like a mini haven or butlins. the children wanted to collect stamps to get the 'golden acorn' but this involved making a number of purchases or staying late to watch the entertainment. one of the events didn't finish until around 10pm which is too late when your child is only 3. . our caravan had a big ant problem and smelled like a wet dog when we first arrived. there were also a large number of flies in the caravan which stayed with us the whole week. we complained, but were told that the site was full. the cleaners did come and clean again and put some ant powder down, but it didn't really help.
Kevin from Chesterfield (17 August 2018)

We had a fantastic stay at oakdene. The park is very clean as was our caravan. The food was delicious, couple of evenings there was a wait but you expect this we weren't in a hurry. My daughter enjoyed the archery and cross bow. The only thing I would of liked to of seen a bit more of was entertainment bought in more often, not just using the park entertainment for everything.
Beverley (17 August 2018)

Needs better daytime entertainment, better policing of slide in swimming pool, ants in our accommodation and nothing done about it and our hot tub was cold for first 2 days until we changed the temp! evening entertainment, park, surrounding walks, restaurant and bar were great though!
Lindsay (17 August 2018)

Clean and well equipped accommodation, facilities and entertainments were very good.
Margaret from Peterborough (17 August 2018)

Lovely caravan. Could have done with a few basic extras such as an oven glove, washing up liquid and bathroom cleaner and cloth.
Teresa from Eastbourne (17 August 2018)

There were 4 of us and our dog. For the dog and the adults the site was fine. Just a lack of things for our 14 year old son to do. Over all a lovely site just could do with more for teenager.
Sharon from Sittingbourne (17 August 2018)

We stayed in a lodge with a hot tub at oakdene forest which is half a mile off the extremely busy a31. the lodge was lovely with comfortable beds, a good wi-fi signal, lovely hot showers and a good kitchen and living area. There was also a sauna which we did not use. the hot tub was great and we used it a lot. the children really enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and the well-stocked shop was a pleasure to visit. the outdoor playground was popular and it was great to be able to sit outside enjoying a pink gin and tonic while keeping an eye on the children. the only downside was no real ale in the bar. a very enjoyable holiday!
Liz from Bristol (17 August 2018)

The caravan we staid in was lovely sensation 2 the kids loved the entertainment and the swimming pool. The walls was lovely too
Tanya (17 August 2018)

Location was nice, lots to do locally. Park was limited for activities in doors and it rained 4/7 days we were there. The pool is dated and not very clean, did not see once person cleaning the changing rooms the whole time we were there and the floors were disgusting I did end up reporting this. Hoseasons stated our accommodation would come with towels, there were no towels on arrival and was informed by the park this was not the case however on this occasion did provide us with towel. I had to re wash most of the cutlery in the caravan as it still had food on it from previous people. Overall we enjoyed the holiday but this was not down to he quality of the park. I will not be re booking this park in the future.
Charlotte from Portsmouth (17 August 2018)

Good location, but the facilities at the site were inadequate for an 8 year old , the outdoor pool was too cold for young children , and not enough for the older ones to do in the indoor pool. Caravans were clean and well equipt but steps were very dangerous for toddlers, it would have made it easier if a gate had been supplied.
Lorna from Caravans Were Clean And Well Equipt But Steps Were (17 August 2018)

Great holiday ,quiet location. Park was very clean and well run.
Glen from Park Was Very Clean And Well Run. (17 August 2018)

Lovely park, very relaxing. The pool and slide were brilliant as the water level was constant throughout the pool so the children were never out of their depth. Would recommend.
Rosalind from Wimborne (17 August 2018)

Would definitely stay again
Stella from Reading (17 August 2018)

Good holiday, it is excellent for children. . check-in was the bit that let them down as there was confusion as to when we would be able to get our caravan and meant that we spent quite a while hanging around waiting for a caravan that was empty & ready.
Alison (13 August 2018)

Markedly better than other parks I have been in over the years. about the only issue was the pool changing area being a little too warm for me, but hardly a deterrent. the pool is bigger than most and there are outdoor areas too - great for sunbathing with little-ones safely splashing about. . accommodation was a high standard and all communal areas were well kept.
Bub from Lancashire (13 August 2018)

Sadly we had a very wet weekend, but we still enjoyed ourselves none the less !! . caravan was excellent and the kids loved the flume in the indoor pool.
Kerry from Southampton (13 August 2018)

Had such an amazing time!! staff were mega friendly and had a lot of time for my two children. The facilities were very modern and we had lots to do even though us was raining.
Sam from Steyning (13 August 2018)

The lodge was nice..however I wouldn't call it a "superior" lodge! it didn't look anything like the pictures advertised when I booked it. The fridge was tiny for a family of 6! there were ants in our lodge to too!
Customer 41 (11 August 2018)

A nice site evening entertainment not the best but not the worse. Staff ok not the most friendly staff ever but did their job. . . caravan very clean and spacious.
Robin from Swindon (10 August 2018)

Amazing family holiday with the grandchildren. Clean comftable accommodation, great location. Staff and facilities all good. Well stocked and reasonably priced site shop.
Sharon from Bexhill On Sea (10 August 2018)

Great for children & dogs great places to go for walks
Julie (10 August 2018)

We stayed for 3 nights in august and has a brilliant time. indoor and outdoor pools are excellent. plenty of additional activities if you want to pay too. evening entertainment was great for both kids and adults. on-site shop had all we needed. amazing country walks and country parks in the surrounding area if that is what you like doing. fully kitted out gym was great for me too. we would certainly come back again. bring some electric fans with you if you're staying in the middle of a heatwave though - the lodges can get very hot in summer
Lee (06 August 2018)

The lodge was rundown. Patio door had dropped and was difficult to shut. Reported it nothing was done. The ignition button on cooker didn’t work. Piece missing on the shower. Reported it nothing was done. Curtain fell down. The hot tub only fitted 4 people in when there were 6 of us.
Melanie (06 August 2018)

The facilities are tired shabby and in need of updating. very expensive for poor quality.
Debbie from Staffordshire (06 August 2018)

Very nice !! all in one..my kids have enjoyed our stay !!!
Catherine (06 August 2018)

I found the caravan park very clean and tidy - the caravan itself was quite clean although the internal windowsills had a collection of dead flies so these hadn't been wiped down for a while, there was also a broken glass at the back of the cupboard. . . the reception staff were polite and friendly and very helpful. the entertainment staff worked well with the children during their activities. the only problem was I felt my youngest daughter was a bit too mature for the younger activities but because of her age was not allowed to join in with the slightly older ones even though her big sister was taking part. . . I was quite annoyed on the last night as our children had collected all their acorns. we had forgotten to take our books to some of the activities and get them stamped so I took it to the reception desk and they kindly wrote the dates on for me as they didn't have a stamp. this was then questioned by the entertainment staff when handed in and we were quizzed on what activities we had actually completed to warrant the stamp and why no stamp was on the booklet, I was quite taken back since it was only for a certificate and badge and I had had to spend nearly £50 on teddies for them to qualify for the certificate and badge. I spoke to reception and thankfully the member of staff who completed this for me remembered. my children were upset as they did not think they were going to get awarded their certificate and badge as we were left hanging. the presentation took place later on in the evening to our children's delight but without cyril or cybil present and to be honest had put a downer on the whole evening as I felt like we were being accused of lying about activities we had completed even though we had been in attendance for a lot more than was required. . . we also was not charged for playing crazy golf until near the end of our holiday. there needs to be clear guidance on whether this is a pay for activity or not. . . a climbing wall is advertised all over the park but is no longer there which was slightly disappointing.
Sarah from Essex (06 August 2018)

Great location, good park. would recommend only small fault some parts of the park could do with a tidy up.
Stephen from Mulbarton, Norfolk (03 August 2018)

Caravan was really lovely. Modern and spacious. Our only criticism was that the caravan had been poorly cleaned prior to our arrival but this was rectified immediately once brought to the attention of staff (park experiencing ant issues this year due to unusually hot weather which we reported). location of park perfect for accessing a large variety of amazing locations. Would definitely return.
Catherine (03 August 2018)

Poor facilities. Over priced.
Gareth (03 August 2018)

Had really nice 4 days away would love to come back to oakdean. Really lovely park loved forest walks with our dog.
Lisa from Westgate On Sea (03 August 2018)

We had a great time at oakdene forest. The highlight was our lovely caravan and hot tub.
Karen from Gillingham, Kent (03 August 2018)

A brilliant holiday park. We all enjoyed the pool especially the slide. A very safe environment to be in. If I had to find a negative it would be that with a dog you were very restricted to what you can do as you couldn’t visit the night time entertainment or restaurant and dogs can’t be left in caravans by themselves.
Hannah from Stoke On Trent (03 August 2018)

Booking in was easy. Mobile home was clean and well equipped. Facilities were good although we only used the swimming pool and crazy golf which we were not charged for as it had been flooded. . grandson attended musketeers activity and adult attending with him said it was well run. Nice area although exploring further afield was often hindered with hold ups ( usually accidents) on the a31.
Deirdre from Deal Kent (03 August 2018)

Lovely site, caravan very spacious and clean, pool facilities fantastic and main club was great. Entertainment staff worked constantly even if not for everyone's taste. Only negatives was no way of getting food after 8:30 and arcade for kids was limited. If had some sort of take away service on site would be perfect.
Ben from Haydock (03 August 2018)

My family and I had a fantastic holiday visiting the surrounding areas each day and made some fantastic memories. This part of the uk is amazing. . the site is located next to a small forest which was great for short walks in to the wilderness. . we didn’t spend much time at the campsite as the activities weren’t too appealing. We did however spend each night at the clubhouse and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment but found it a shame that their were few outside acts performing. . . our caravan was lovely and suited our requirements besides from the ant infestation on the decking - which we had to manage as no help was provided by the staff (other than pouring boiling water on to a slippery surface).
Liam (03 August 2018)

Have been here a couple of times. Always very nice. Lovely swimming pool.
Heather from Cirencester (03 August 2018)

When we arrived we went to reception to collect the keys. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We headed for our caravan. It was lovely and close to all the amenities. It was clean and very modern. We stayed in a sensation 2 caravan which our new for this year. The park itself is nice with easy access to the beautiful forest which our dog loved! both pools were nice but outside was a little cold. The restaurant staff were friendly and the food was of very good standard. Didn’t watch the entertainment so cannot comment on that. Overall a lovely family holiday and we will definitely go again.
Jassy from Herts (03 August 2018)

Our caravan was lovely, new & clean. The park was a bit of a disappointment 1 small play park for kids, a pool and a crazy golf that has seen better days, security is non existent anyone can enter the park day or night. We had a bike stolen that was locked to our balcony and after speaking to some people that own a caravan there, this is aparently a common thing, the staff just got me to fill in a form and told me to call police. We won’t be returning to this park.
Celia from Ashford Kent (03 August 2018)

Nice compact holiday park on the edge of a nice piece of woodland. Good swimming pool but the slide was not operational when we were there. A small arcade and children's play areas are more than adequate for a short family break. . unfortunately our holiday was spoiled by the poor service in the restaurant on the two occasions we used it, and also a broken gate latch on the decking area of our caravan (might sound trivial but with a dog and a toddler it is nice to know that a gate isn't permanently open). . when we first used the restaurant on the night of arrival we were told food would be 40 minutes, that's ok, it was even ok that it was longer in over an hour, when the food came out we were asked if we would like children's cutlery for our daughter, nice thought but it was never brought out, the chips were cold, my partners gammon was dry. I had a hair in the pot of curdled coleslaw that came with my dish. Upon taking said pot of coleslaw and mentioning the issues to the member of staff at the bar and telling him which table we were on nothing happened, so we left disappointed but maybe a one off. The next morning after swimming we tried again but for breakfast, no notice of delays and few people in the restaurant, this time a larger group that came in after us were served, ate their dinner and left as did a member of staff who came in half an hour after us. After 45 minutes wait for standard breakfasts my partner asked for a refund and then was met with the food coming out (this food must have been cold due to earlier mentioned points of people being served before us) and excuses like the order of the other group was taken at the same time and that the staff members food was taken out as a priority because he was on a break. Honestly I don't like complaining, but as there was no apology just an attempt to defend poor service and not sensibly address any issues (this was the complex manager whom we were speaking with) I really didn't feel like mentioning the gate issue, it would likely have been prioritised like our meals. When the weather turned and it started to rain, the thought of spending time in the restaurant or entertainment areas or around staff that showed no empathy whatsoever when faced with customer service issues made us decide to cut our stay short. I accept short staffing and delays, as well as issues but being faced with the customer always complains without good cause mentality and no forthcoming apologies and in some instances no action at all I find that the management at this facility need some customer service training.
Michael (30 July 2018)

The caravan was immaculate and you could not fault it
Dawn from Essex (30 July 2018)

Had a lovely time, good facilities & nice caravan. Just a bit disappointed that we reported a leaking roof (vent) but it was just left, not sorted & not even any help to clean up so we had a wet kitchen floor for 3 days.
Anna from Stoke On Trent (30 July 2018)

Overall the site was nice didn't see a lot of use of the go active facilities the pools were good and the restaurant was good although we waited over an hour for food on our first night. The evening entertainment could have been better it was mainly aimed at young children and not a lot going on for older ones and adults. The accommodation was nice although we did get infested with ants I presume to the severely hot weather
Dru from Leyland (27 July 2018)

We stayed in new accommodation which was spotless and well equipped. The park itself is a bit dated and some activities like crazy golf could do with a facelift. The caravans are quite close together and there is a lack of green space although it is nice to have access to the forest. Some of the chilled products in the shop looked past their best so we popped to lidl or sainsbury’s just up the road.
Lana from Southam (27 July 2018)

Terrible facilities- outdoor pool was freezing, amusements were old and tired, mini golf was tiny and old. Staff were foolish, lifeguard in pool not even looking at the pool. Barely anything to do there for kids unless its nature walks. Drinks expensive for basic brands. Caravan was lovely but too high a price for no entertainment- haven offer loads more for about £250 cheaper, just 20 miles away.
Lisa (27 July 2018)

Location was very good not far from bournemouth and poole also access to the forest. Plenty for kids to do also entertainment for everybody. Staff very helpful in all areas.
Lorna from Bromley (27 July 2018)

Great location and caravan clean and kids loved the hot tub. dissappointed about bar staff who wouldn't give us glasses for our 4 children to drink from as we were unable to eat in the restaurant because it closed, so had to order a takeout. glasses were needed for bottles of drinks that came with our takeaway.
Debbie from London (27 July 2018)

We had a lovely stay, caravan was new but had trouble with ants but told reception and they put ant power down which worked, (think to do with the hot weather we have been having). the site is very clean and indoor pool lovely and warm with one flume, outside very cold but children where still having fun in it, the activities I thought was expensive, and a few times we went to book an activity there wasn’t enough people so didn’t run it, great if you take a dog as there is a lovely wood to walk your fur babies, shame there wasn’t any bike hire as you could ride around the wood. A quite park didn’t get woken up once.
Rachel from Markyate (27 July 2018)

Caravan infested with ants on first day, staff tried to sort out the problem. next day the ants were back in every room, so upgraded to lodge with hot tub
Chris from Kettering (27 July 2018)

Some parts of the holiday park a bit dated but caravan was brand new and in an excellent location on the park.
Sally from Somerset (27 July 2018)

Lovely long weekend at oakdene. The caravan was lovely and clean the pools were fun, the food was nice. The park could do with a slightly bigger playground with swings for smaller children to use and its a shame the shop closes so early.
Kelly from London (23 July 2018)

Amazing place, literally booked the day before we went. Van brand new and super clean. Grounds amazingly well kept and lovely pool to keep the kids occupied. Also so close to all the various beaches and other sights
Helen from Pinner (23 July 2018)

A lovely park, quiet even though is was the beginning of the summer holidays. Sublime caravan was lovely, great to have a hot tub and outdoor decking area. well equipped - towels included as well as washing up liquid, tea towel and even a pint of milk! there was also a dishwasher which wasn't listed. good location. . entertainment was a bit of a let down, not sure if there just weren't enough guests to make the staff show interesting, the comedian on saturday night was good though but we didn't go to the bar again.
Jenni from Southend On Sea (23 July 2018)

The park itself is fantastic. The lodge was a complete let down. Needs renovation, oven didn’t cook , hot tub lid broken, lodge was filthy and damp. . the swimming pools were fantastic and very clean as was the bar areas and park
Danielle from Gosport (23 July 2018)

Unfortunately there was too much chlorine in the indoor pool. . there was no supervision for the water flumes so it was dangerous. The travel cot was not big enough for my son and they didn’t tell me it didn’t come with any bedding; unlike the rest of the beds. . the place was overrun with ants when we arrived. The crazy golf was not useable as it had ants nests. . the shop was closed by 6 every day and didn’t have enough milk in. . no shade by the outside pool and the animals in the baby pool were not working
Linseyanne from Hertfordshire (20 July 2018)

Really enjoyed our holiday. Caravan park was really good with good facilities. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor pool every day - weather was fantastic too. Because of the really good weather we had a lot of ants. Maintenance from the caravan park sprayed and put powder down, we still had to deal with them every day. . really enjoyed the surrounding area too.
Lynn (16 July 2018)

The caravan was clean and spacious, with very comfortable beds. Excellent shower. Well equipped kitchen. Lighting stark, though bedside lighting worked very well. Despite the heat were able to sleep well. We brought along our own outside furniture which meant we could use the outside and spread ourselves.
Amanda from Petersfield (16 July 2018)

Park needs updating.
Elaine (13 July 2018)

We thought the caravan was really lovely. We were worried that it might not be of a high standard as we took our dog but it was great, really modern and clean.
Tracy (08 July 2018)

Lovely setting and pleasant helpful staff
Nevin from Morecambe (06 July 2018)

It was a very relaxing experience. I will go back again.
Maria from Bognor Regis (06 July 2018)

Nice site good position
Michael from Newport (06 July 2018)

It was lovely only thing was our lodge smelt of wet dog and the other lodge over run with ants.. and my brother in law got bit to pieces look like flea bites
Sharon from Basingstoke (02 July 2018)

Absolutely lovely weekend caravan spotless beautiful surroundings good facilities very clean definitely book again and the sun was shining what more could you ask for children happy grandad and happy
Jane from Southampton (02 July 2018)

Pool and activities are great. Neighbouring caravan played excessively loud music until well past ten. Caravan not clean. Found used hormone urine dip stick which was not ours on ledge by sink.
Fran from Andover (01 July 2018)

Had a lovely weekend. Kids and dogs also enjoyed it.
Danielle from Redhill (01 July 2018)

The park was very clean and tidy, very helpful staff ,only downside was the caravan had been previously used by someone with a pet and there was hair on the sofa and floor. Overall the accommodation was lovely, would stay here again.
Paul from East Sussex (29 June 2018)

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday at oakdene forest. . after a warm welcome from helpful, efficient staff, we were delighted with the cleanliness and comfort of our accommodation. . the description of the park itself accurately matched the the details sent prior to our visit. All facilities were open, including the lovely pools and leisure areas. . set in a beautifully landscaped location, close attention is given to ensuring all areas are spotlessly maintained and completely litter free. we confidently recommend this park.
Dominic from Coventry (29 June 2018)

We arrived to the caravan and it was not clean, there was also ants all over the caravan and with a new born baby this was not ideal as she couldnt lay on floor at all. . . also we had a broken slab outside the caravan and it had sunk and had very sharp edges on it and vehicles or children running around it could have been severely injured. . . both where reported and the person on reception was rude and didn't really care and said she will get someone to sort it. . . we arrived on monday and the slab only got replaced on the thursday a day before we left and no one came round to sort the cleanliness of the caravan after it has been reported. . . so my partner and me had to clean it and we had to purchase our own products to do this. Not good. . . this was our first caravan trip as a family and it wasnt a very good experience at all and for the money we paid we expected more.
Matthew from Marlborough (29 June 2018)

The receptionist was fantastic!!! accidentally put in pet unit which I didn’t request stayed for one night explained to young receptionist that through health problems it wasn’t appropriate to stay . no problem moved us to new unit . I would love to return if I could get a discount for a second holiday this year sometime maybe to see new year in at the park .
Angela from Stanwell (25 June 2018)

Everything we needed for a weekend away with our family and small grandchildren. Pool was great! we brought our own camping chairs, table and bbq which meant we could really enjoy the outside space with family and friends.
Karen (24 June 2018)

Only one snag the mattresses were awful, could feel every single spring in them. Otherwise mobile home was excellent.
Brian from Harrow (22 June 2018)

It was our first holiday with our baby daughter, aged 6 months old. We wanted somewhere we could relax but also have the convenience of self-catering/our own kitchen. We thought a caravan on a holiday park would be ideal. We weren't disappointed and enjoyed our family holiday. . a couple of little things which prevented our week away from being perfect: the outdoor pool was far too cold to take our baby in. We were under the impression it was heated and had looked forward to taking her in the outdoor pool on sunny days. Sadly this was not possible. . the restaurant not opening for breakfast until 10am. I do understand this was probably down to staffing, but when you've been up since 6am with a small baby, 10am feels very late for breakfast! I would expect breakfast being offered earlier at a family resort - even from 9am would have been more convenient.
Holly from Herne Bay (22 June 2018)

Wonderful holiday, love the pool complex pity the sauna was broken. Will be back again soon.
Suzanne (22 June 2018)

Beautiful brand new caravan and site was very quiet as not school holidays. so we enjoyed a peaceful stay.
Debbie from Southend Essex (22 June 2018)

Excellent standard of accommodation, set in a beautiful forest setting with easy access to bournemouth and southampton together with the new forest. Excellent value. Peaceful and relaxing.
Michael from Liskeard (22 June 2018)

Had a good time caravan was the best in a long time site and staff were very helpful from reception to bar staff no comments at all already booked for next year.
Ronald from Banstead (18 June 2018)

Lovely park, right on the edge of the forest. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food lovely and we could take the dog onto the deck to eat. They even found an old plate to put the dog's food on.
Janette from Clacton (18 June 2018)

Brilliant holiday, lovely caravan and everything for a young family within half hours drive!
Christopher from Evesham (15 June 2018)

We loved this holiday. Everything was just as i’d hoped.
Julie from Dromore Co Down (15 June 2018)

Park clean and tidy, with lots to do.
Harry (11 June 2018)

Very clean caravan. Park was ok. Good location.
Lauren from Chepstow (10 June 2018)

Was a nice break but it was very expensive for 2 nights and I don’t think it was worth over £800 . I previously paid £800 for 5 nights which was a more upmarket lodge with hot tub with another company
Marianne (10 June 2018)

A simple thing spoiled the break ! the price of a small fizzy drink at the pizzeria was £1.95. !!!!! and I mean small !!! price not mentioned on menu.
Geoff from Birmingham (08 June 2018)

Under staffed and the staff that were there didn't know what was going on. . . club house was always littered with rubbish and it was never cleaned up. . . restaurant is over priced and depressing. . there isn't a great deal to do with children unless you go offsite.
Amber (04 June 2018)

We booked this as a last minute break. . . our 3 girls really enjoyed their time in the facilities and with the entertainment. . . the cabin was lovely and clean. Suitable to house us all for a long weekend.
Emma from Basingstoke (03 June 2018)

Very enjoyable. Lovely caravan
Gemma from Birmingham (03 June 2018)

Oakdene actually made the 5 1/2 hour journey from norfolk worthwhile!!. friendly staff, reasonable prices throughout, one of the best caravan holidays we've been on in a long time
Michael from Diss (02 June 2018)

Really enjoyed this holiday. We were in a 2 bed caravan, close by to all the facilities. Excellent value for money. loved the location, close to new forest and dorset. Loved it so much, going back next year.
Colin from Waltham Abbey (02 June 2018)

I thought the supersaver caravan was good value for money-considering it was also during the halfterm. The park is excellent for parents with younger children and we especially enjoyed the pool facilities which never felt over-crowded. Disappointing to see how many wash machines and driers were out of order considering that it was the halfterm and quite busy in the park. We were very happy to have been able to book from sat to sat and were disappointed to find out this is no longer the case. This might make us reconsider booking again.
Lillian from Hornchurch, Essex (02 June 2018)

Nice site friendly staff
Kenneth (01 June 2018)

Peaceful location; good for children; well kitted caravan
Jim (01 June 2018)

I put value for money as 8 because I live in norfolk and my granddaughter lives in southampton, I have now stayed on your site for 3 years so I can have her stay with me for a holiday and because she is now at school I had to pay £200 more for the week, this is the only quality time I get with my granddaughter and think the increase in price in school holidays is a little extortionate
Judy from Wisbech (01 June 2018)

Great park, staff all really helpful, caravan good standard for money. restaurant too busy at perk times thought, and food not as good as at the shore field country park site we stayed on the year before.
Hayley (01 June 2018)

We had a great holiday fab location with lots to do. Clean caravan pool a little dated but satisfactory
Joanne (01 June 2018)

A great location with all necessary facilities on site. Also plenty of child friendly pubs serving good value food near by.
Lindsay from Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds (01 June 2018)

The holiday homes are very tightly packed in. the children's play area, although recently updated I understand, holds very little for toddlers to play with. the pool is also looking pretty tired.
Luke from Marlow (01 June 2018)

Great location. Lots of activities for the older children. Swimming pool was nicer than other parks we've been to. Entertainment for the children was good.
Lucy from Harlow (01 June 2018)

Site is lovely and clean. Staff friendly. Accommodation clean, and in excellent condition. . lots to explore in surrounding area. Had a fab time.
Joanne from Essex (28 May 2018)

The location was beautiful. we went for a higher end accommodation than we usually do which was well worthwhile. we would certainly consider going there again preferably for a longer break.
Janet from Rochester (28 May 2018)

Great location especially for peppa pig world or going to bournemouth. Great facilities but could do with a little coffee shop. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Hannah from Newport (28 May 2018)

Overall a good holiday.childrens entertainment could be better.off a busy main road though good for visiting bournemouth and the new forest. Accommodation was good and meals on site good and not overly priced.
Tracy from Nottingham (21 May 2018)

We had a wonderful stay very nice caravan park and friendly staff. The children loved it.we would love to come again
Philip from Deal (21 May 2018)

Sadly the caravan was dirty, settee stained and mouldy food in the second bedroom. Bar meals were expensive considering portion size and quality. Staff friendly and helpful to ensure stay was pleasant. Location superb with woodland literally on doorstep
Adrian from Leicester (21 May 2018)

A very disappointing break
Ben (21 May 2018)

Holiday caravan was new and well equipped and clean but a problem with ants entertainment great for kids not so good for adults
Derek (21 May 2018)

Dog friendly with plenty of woodland walks. Lovely caravan. Welcoming staff. Hoping to be back soon.
Julie from Burton-On-Trent (18 May 2018)

It was a great venue for a family break. Only two minor criticisms, the decking and path could have been a little better cleaned before arrival (there were a lot of birds mess that we had to avoid and with a very young child it was difficult) and on the morning of departure we wanted breakfast at 9am but the restaurant didn't ope until much later. Apart from that the accommodation and facilities were great.
Howard (14 May 2018)

Positives:. lovely clean caravan. Great location. Enthusiastic staff. Good entertainment. . not a huge selection in the bar which is quite expensive. . overall very good. Nice touch to include a bbq pack.
Matthew from Enthusiastic Staff (14 May 2018)

Great place lovely caravans
Ronald from Herts (14 May 2018)

Lovely location. Woods to walk in nice and quiet
Lyn from East Sussex (11 May 2018)

Excellent site,and location.
Malcolm from Coventry (04 May 2018)

Very well kept site. Our accommodation was lovely only negative the couches were not very comfortable. It was very clean and well stoked the bed were clean and comfortable.i. In a good position to get to every where we wanted to go to. Had a really enjoyable break. The dogs loved it too.
Ann from London (04 May 2018)

We had a great holiday at oakdene forest. The caravan was clean and comfortable. Very modern. Our caravan was close to the show house. Evening entertainment for children was brilliant. Only comments would be that the arcade was a little dated-machines broken and the swimming pool changing rooms were a bit dirty.
Chloe (04 May 2018)

A beautiful holiday, just what was needed. I booked the sensation 3, (3 bedrooms) beautifully kept, clean, alot more space than expected (2 loos) fantastic with the children. lovely quiet surroundings and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the birds singing. we ran and walked around the forest. everyone was friendly and we stopped to convers with each other. there is a little de-forestation going on but that did not spoil our enjoyment. . activities were spot on, children loved them. Cross-bow and water walkers, and yes I did join in. lovely friendly bar and family restaurant. a great weekend away with the children. peace and quiet, fresh air and plenty activities to get involved in. It was absolutely perfect and just what we were looking for. looking forward to re-booking. Thank you all
Mandy from London (30 April 2018)

Really was a great place to stay, so near to lots of interesting places to visit. I took two dogs with me, I was expecting some old broken down caravan, but it was a perfect mobile home, very clean and well equipped.
Peter from London (30 April 2018)

A great base to visit the new forest or the coast with lots to do whatever the weather. The mobile home was new so very nice, clean and comfortable.
Donna from Middlesex (30 April 2018)

What a lovely place , not far from places
Jackie from Bognor Regis (30 April 2018)

Cheerful holiday staff and wonderful surroundings, what more could want?
Alfred from Radstock (27 April 2018)

Great location
Mavis from Bristol (27 April 2018)

Arcade broken. Kids park on site broken so closed off. Went to eat on site every night, and every night, they mixed up our order or didn't bring something out.a hen do was there very drunk and scared my kids off the dance floor twice so gave up and went back to our caravan. Kids didnt enjoy this holiday, which means i'm annoyed wasting my money. The extra activities were so expensive, never heard of them costing so much else where
Sara from Basingstoke (23 April 2018)

As a family of young children we had an amazing time and have now booked our 5th hoilday within the shorefiled sites.
Stuart from Chichester (23 April 2018)

The park was very clean and tidy. the surroundings were also lovely, with hurn wood almost attached to the park
