Lovely clean apartment, only one negative, the walls are very thin and any conversations and noise such as the taps running can be heard quite clearly. it wouldn't put us off booking again but would prefer a caravan or detached lodge in the future. on the whole we had an enjoyable holiday.
Diana from Droitwich (24 September 2016)

We had a lovely caravan with fantastic views across the valley. The site was kept to a very high standard and would consider using this site again at some time in the future.
Maureen (23 September 2016)

The reason we would not stay here again is chiefly because we prefer the site at seadown just nearby, where we have stayed many timesin the past.
Mary from Hemel Hempstead (23 September 2016)

Beautiful location in charmouth, dorset. caravan clean and comfitable everything that was necessary for a good holiday. will definitely be staying again.
June from Birchington, Kent (17 September 2016)

Fabulous place.very clean and well looked after, and managed grounds.no-one "in your face",just left alone to get on with your holiday.very classy bar and dining area. Didn't expect the best caravan as we had dogs with us but very pleasantly surprised at the one that we got. My only gripe is that some of the items on the menu seemed to be expensive, but, you don't have to eat there if you don't want to. All in all, a fabulous place.
Stephen (12 September 2016)

Great location just 5 minutes from the high street with pubs and shops and the beach. Lovely caravan, very clean and so was the site. Would stay again.
Karen from Dartford (09 September 2016)

Very clean and well equipped apartments - a bit gloomy as they don't get any sunshine.
Peter from Newhaven East Sussex (09 September 2016)

Lovely accommodation with amazing views. Close to the beach and a short drive to lyme regis. We didn't use the amenities at the resort or eat there so can't comment but the fish and chips in the village were amazing.
Hayley from St Albans (05 September 2016)

Won't go there again & certainly won't use the fish & chip shop
Paula (03 September 2016)

Fabulous place
Sarah from Llantwit Major (03 September 2016)

A little disappointed at caravan first booked for six people! upgraded to a lodge which was very comfortable and more space for the family to move about. Caravan to small for six people!!!!
David from Farnham (02 September 2016)

No facilities for customers with dogs which we pay for and caravans all at the top of a very steep hill which is not ideal for customers over 70 walking areas for your dogs minimal
Alan from Milton Keynes (27 August 2016)

The park was ideally situated for the beach. Very nice surroundings. Facilities at the park were adequate for our needs. Bit disappointed with the children's entertainer.
Antony from Twickenham (22 August 2016)

Myself, wife ,2 grandchildren and dog had a wonderful time at newlands.the park had a beautiful view of the surrounding area.short walk to beach, grandchildren aged 9 and 5 really enjoyed outdoor pool and play area.chip shop and food store very good and staff really friendly also reception staff very helpful.cannot comment on resturant as we did not use this due to having our dog,so went into village were we found an excellent pub called the george ,food ,service, excellent and reasonable .dog was allowed in the pub, but we chose to sit in the garden room to eat, were we could also see the grandchildren playing on the play area ,which they both loved.only one downside was the children,s disco in the evening , no dino dan only music being put on and no one entertaining ,so after half an hour they were bored and wanted to go back to the caravan.
David from Swindon (22 August 2016)

Unfortunately the site was hit by a stomach bug while we were there and our family was affected badly. The facilities were closed for 48 hours including swimming pools! we paid a lot of money for a lodge and only enjoyed three days. It was a shame!
Corinne from Crewe (15 August 2016)

Overall we had a lovely time and the apartment we stayed in was adequate but there was an issue with a sickness bug on the site and the closure of the swimming pool made facilities we had paid for unusable.
Caroline from Northampton (15 August 2016)

Take away food very poor and expensive
Jayne (12 August 2016)

We had a really lovely holiday here. We booked a short week and stayed in apartment 21. the apartment was clean and tidy (although we couldn't get the shower to work). the park was beautifully kept with a heated outdoor pool and an indoor pool. the staff were friendly and helpful. we used the apartment as a base to visit lyme regis, bovington (tank museum) and weymouth. we were able to walk to charmouth beach from the site. we were lucky with the weather so had a great holiday
Tom from Llandrindod Wells (12 August 2016)

Me and my family had a great time at newlands! very clean, great views and lovely location. I was a bit surprised to have to pay for the indoor pool. And the pottery, staff could have been a bit more welcoming.
Dionne from And The Pottery, Staff Could Have Been A Bit More (12 August 2016)

Lovely caravan. Great beach in charmouth. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
Darren from Crawley (08 August 2016)

This is a lovely peaceful and clean park. the accommodation was clean and tidy and the onsite shop is well stocked and the shop staff are so friendly and helpful. steven from reception really helped us in our hour of need. the pools are a little small and the outdoor pool is very cold but otherwise our children had a lot of fun in them, the play park is great for the children with beautiful views. the park is in a fantastic location, the beach is in walking distance and is great for fossil hunting but the real gem is that it is a very short drive to the beautiful lyme regis and west bay. we had such a fantastic time that we booked to stay next year before we left to come home!
Annie from Middlesex (06 August 2016)

Great little holiday park!!. we stayed here for a week with friends and had a great time. It's in a lovely location and a great spot to visit the area.
Clare from Stockport (06 August 2016)

Had as always a great holiday.! thanks to all the staff for there helpful friendly attitude, would highly recommend.!! thanks
David from Gloucestershire (06 August 2016)

Lovely park and staff the only thing we didn't like was the chip shop . too expensive and not fresh fish or home cooked style chops made fresh not frozen chips
Nicola from Chesterfield (06 August 2016)

Unfortunately I don't have many nice things to say about newlands. We loved the views from our caravan and the caravan itself was lovely, although not very clean at all. My mother and one of my daughters fell down the steps, on different occasions, resulting in my mother having a gash in her ear and my daughter with a nasty cut on her knee. The facilities on site are very poor. The indoor swimming pool was closed for the first 3 days, maintenance problems apparently, and I cant believe they charge to use it as it is just a basic pool and you had to queue to use it? the outdoor pool was open, but freezing, weather wasn't great, tiles loose in the pool and unsupervised children in it too. Entertainment wasn't great, but isn't helped by the venue, in the bar/restaurant where people were still eating, not enough tables and seats, had to stand both nights that we went in there. Also as the indoor swimming pool is through the bar you had wet people walking through, day and night. Soft play area is ok, but no one in there to supervise, lots of kids running around being monstrous,, I was the only parent in there one day with about 12 kids.. didn't allow my kids back down there. The games room had most of its games out of order for most of the week and there are so few machines children were bored waiting for turns, worst I have ever seen, and we have been to lots of places. The only positive was the staff who were very polite and as helpful as they could be.
Kerry from Coulsdon (05 August 2016)

We were here 5 years ago a lovely little site. Now it is far too big and you do not have the facilities, the swimming pools are far too small, and not supervised, the soft play has all ages running around like lunatics again no supervision, just waiting for an accident to happen. I didn't see any sign of organised activities for your play club and the evening entertainment was non existant. the bar area is again far too small, the choice for lunch was appalling. You have spoilt what was a lovely site. again mans greed has taken over. You have the space to do so much but haven't bothered. a very unhappy holiday, I bought my 2 grandchildren of 8 and 10 and they hated it. your shop prices were above extortion .
Susan from High Wycombe (05 August 2016)

Nice park , the caravan was very clean but we had to ask for extra cutlery and glasses as there was only enough for 4 in a 6berth van . there was a charge for the indoor pool £2an hour ( expensive when there are 3 children in the party and they have to have an adult with them .) you can walk to the beach but it is a fair way you really need a car to get around , even the nearest supermarket is several miles away . there is a fast food outlet restaurant and small shop on site all quite reasonably priced considering you are a bit of a captive audience .
Valerie from Peterborough (05 August 2016)

Fabulous lodge, lovely surroundings but don't bother paying for wifi, waste of money. Can't get signal! also the fish and chip shop is atrocious. All frozen, nothing fresh and stinks of grease. Queued for 40 mins just for chips and they weren't busy!
Monique from Charmouth (05 August 2016)

Overall very good, however did not like having to pay to use the pool.
Patricia from Southampton (05 August 2016)

We stayed in a cabin. the cabin was very dirty, still had previous owners rubbish behind wardrobes and were very tatty. indoor pool was not available throughout our stay even though we stayed in august.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (01 August 2016)

We stayed in a dorset pearl apartment on 23 july 2016 for one week and the room was lovely, very spacious and good facilities. We had a seperate twin bedroom and there was a double bed in the lounge - along with two sofas. room was very clean and had everything we needed. Good location and close to playground. overall newlands park is a lovely place and close to charmouth high street where you will find the george pub - fantastic for kids with massive garden with play stuff and two goats down the end which our kids loved feeding! will definitely go back one day!
Lisa from Warwick (30 July 2016)

The pool arrangement was ridiculous, no access between pools and you need to walk through the bar for the indoor pool. Very expensive to stay for the four nights and not good value for money. Entertainment was uninspiring. Location was the only good point.
Teresa from Essex (29 July 2016)

Not impressed with the indoor pool changing room! also there should be privacy glass on the doors between the bar/pool.
Victoria from Chester (29 July 2016)

Lodges too close together, could not open bedroom windows as people in lodge next door were smokers and they were up early smoking outside and throughout the day. This site is best for families and as a couple we found it we would not go again
Dorothy from Sale Cheshire (29 July 2016)

A lovely park perfectly located for exploring
Joseph from Leicester (25 July 2016)

Not really dog friendly anymore
Tracey (23 July 2016)

We stayed in a caravan, which overlooked the valley. The view was beautiful and we watched the birds flying across the hills and the sun setting. The caravan was lovely, clean, well furnished and modern. The site was quiet and peaceful, but busy and was located close to charmouth and within a short drive to many little towns. We enjoyed our break here.
Jayne from Coventry (23 July 2016)

Before we booked the holiday we was told there was lot of entertainment for children and there was none. Also the outdoor pool slide was not in use due to it be not busy. The pool was full most days. You had to pay to use the indoor pool was told both was free. . the lodge it self was very clean and nice. . the 10 minute walk to the beach was in face 30 minutes.
Michelle from Hemel Hempstead (22 July 2016)

Would stay at newlands again but not in the apartments . the apartments were very basic, not ideal for two couples staying, more suited for a family,we also found them noisey late at night .the park was well maintained, the food in the restaurant was good.
Ian from Blackburn (18 July 2016)

The children adored the who l holiday despite the changeable weather. W e had to shoehorn them out every day as they wanted to stay and play at newlands.
Christine from Blackpool (16 July 2016)

Not wheel chair friendly, no regular adult entertainment. Boring. Food excessively priced.
Brenda from Birmingham (16 July 2016)

Lovely park and location
Deborah from Norwich (15 July 2016)

Great holiday park, clean and tidy caravan and grounds
Angela from Basingstoke (15 July 2016)

Lovely indoor pool. Park set in pleasant surroundings. We're not aware of steep paths prio to booking.
Margaret from Bromsgrove (15 July 2016)

The disabled adapted apartment was ideal for me as I have mobility problems, also the indoor pool had good access into it for me. The restaurant was very obliging too as my husband is very fussy about having his gammon well grilled and they obliged him.
Jennifer from Wolverhampton (04 July 2016)

Newlands park was pleasant enough. Indoor pool and bar area were very nice. Charging extra for use of the indoor pool was somewhat excessive given the hundreds of pounds we had paid for the holiday however.
Stephen (27 June 2016)

Perfectly located for touring the dorset coast.
Alan from Luton (25 June 2016)

Had a very pleasant week, with the accommodation and facilities of a good standard. The reception staff and on site shop staff were very friendly and helpful with our questions. The camp is a short distance from charmouth beach and we spent most of our time looking for the numerous fossils there. Parking at the beach is easy and cheap. One small tip -- try and take your own hammer if you are fossil hunting as the beach fossil shop charges £3.00 per day to hire one.
Norman from Worcestershire (13 June 2016)

Excellent park. Nice staff. Apartment very clean. Worry small indoor pool might get busy at peak times? overall very good.
Lis from Kingston (13 June 2016)

Beautiful surroundings, very friendly and helpful staff. I will visit again.
Louise from Bromley (12 June 2016)

We have been coming to this site for many years, first with a touring caravan, then a motor home and now we stay in the pearl apartments. the apartments are good value for money, set in a quiet spot in a corner of the site. the apartments are much like a hotel apartment, the rooms are clean, with a separate small bedroom. The lounge area has two sofas and a flat screen tv. There is a nice shower room, a kitchen area and a double bed by the window. . the restaurant provides good meals and the bar area has been re-vamped. There is plenty to do if you have young children. The only complaint is that the wifi is quite expensive, but we would certainly recommend this campsite.
Colin from Cornwall (11 June 2016)

From our caravan at the top of site we had the most beautiful view.the van was extremely clean.the staff very friendly and courteous.lyme regis is just up the road and very enjoyable mackerel fishing and sightseeing from the harbour.not a lot to do in charmouth but a good market.
Richard (11 June 2016)

The location was lovely .we were right near everywhere we wanted to visit and the site was set in the countryside so the surrounding area had lovely views.the staff at the site were very helpful even ringing us when we were on the journey there to tell us about about a road closure which was taking place and they rang us again when we got home to say they had found a pen belonging us and did we want it back. Great service from them. The facilities on the site were good even though it was out of main holiday season.the takeaway on the site was closed but you could order at the bar and take food away .we did this one night and the fish and chips were lovely.my only small complaint is that the shop on the site is very small and did not sell much variety and they were expensive but this tends to be the case on most holiday sites.however there is a supermarket in the village and you can stock up elsewhere before you go. Everything on the site was spotlessly clean and it was very pleasant. Would go again
Maria from Hull (10 June 2016)

Good place to stay but food in bar was a little over priced for the quality
Ben (04 June 2016)

Apartment pearl was a little smelly, but clean. It was as expected and booked because all suitable caravans had been booked. Road layout near reception congested on arrival meaning traffic queue went back on to road. Noticed road signs on site were minimal. Did not use shop. Purchased from elsewhere where choice more varied. Club area visited once (sat evening) but not used. People slouching on chairs taking up 2/3 spaces and tables were dirty. Not a good impression. Site chosen because of the area and nice walks found daily with the help of local bus service on two of those days.
Chris from Bicester (04 June 2016)

We have a great week at charmouth the weather was beautiful. Newlands park had good entertainment the caravan was very clean. Would recommend this site.
Jenni (04 June 2016)

Lovely location. . takeaway closed in half term . good shop. . expensive food. . pay to use indoor pool. . parking very tight. . clean. . good playground. . quiet.
Patrick from Lutterworth (03 June 2016)

Stayed with family during half term in one of the lodges. great location with short journeys by car to dorchester and lyme regis. surrounding views lovely. had a very relaxing week.
David from Southampton (03 June 2016)

Fantastic location and very comfortable lodge. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was a bit disappointing. Apart that, a memorable stay in wonderful surroundings. Would love to go back there..
Sylvie from Loughton (30 May 2016)

The room was dark and damp , curtains were ripped and the bed cover also dust on the bathroom heater.
Alan (20 May 2016)

The only downside to our holiday was our caravan was on top of a hill and my father who is 82 had problems climbing up and down the hill.
Sharon from Chislehurst Kent (02 May 2016)

Gas fire was broken so left keys to fix, returned to collect key but they lost them! repairs still had the keys in his van. Basic, shabby but clean
Zeaba (28 March 2016)

The reason for the lower rating on the facilities is because due to low season not all facilities were open eg the onsite fish and chip chop, laundry facilies, therefore perhaps this should have been reflected more in the cost of the caravan. . also in low season perhaps a refund should be given for the day that the van is not needed . for example we had to leave on good friday (this I did make clear when making the booking) therefore left on the morning but we were unable to actually only book the holiday upto friday we had to book in upto saturday and pay for that day . . appart from the above feedback which you have asked for we had a great time, the staff were very friendly and helpful and I would recommend the park to friends and family.
Jane from Manchester (26 March 2016)

We had a really pleasant time, the accommodation was much better than what we were expecting, the value for money is 10/10 - if we had gone a week or two later, admittedly it would have been a bit more than what we paid but I still think it would have been worth it. Great places to visit nearby. The pool was lovely and the jacuzzi is a nice addition.
Ben from Hampshire (18 March 2016)

We had a lovely time, the site was central to all the towns we like to visit. It was clean and the staff were helpful. Restaurant food was to a good standard but slightly over priced if you eat in rather than opt for takeaway. Entertainment was excellent and activities were well run.
Claire from Frome (30 October 2015)

I have a 13 year old boy and found that to get to places that he would be interested in was quite a drive so the location for us was not good, however, if you want walking and the beach in summer then this is an excellent location. The village small but some great places to eat there.
Gillian from Coulsdon (30 October 2015)

Had a fantastic time, the caravan, site, amenities and helpful staff made our stay wonderful. we will definitely be coming back next summer..
Sandra from Hinckley, Leicestershire (19 October 2015)

Lots of facilities including indoor heated swimming pool. The location is really good with many nearby attractions. The beach is only 10 mins driving.
Mohammed from Leicester (19 October 2015)

Newland was a lovely place, but it was more like a tropical forest, it was nice facilities great but I never stay at the same place twice I like to try somewere different
Philomena (05 October 2015)

A very well-kept park with good amenities, 10-15 minutes walk to famous fossil beach/coastline and to pretty village with good shops/pubs and in a beautiful part of the country, although very hilly. Only five minutes by car to lyme regis. also well served by public transport if not wanting to drive everywhere. Would definitely stay here again.
Shirley from Maidstone (03 October 2015)

Lovely views, central for my needs, would like to come again but would like to try a chalet next time
June from Melton Mowbray Leicestershire (02 October 2015)

Perfect . food not so good.
Mark from Slough (28 September 2015)

No complaints at all about the site only problem is finding somewhere local to eat at lunchtime.
Nicholls from West Bromwich (25 September 2015)

A great location in a great part of dorset. If you like walking its a good starting point for some good routes. If you prefer a more laid back holiday the bus stop is right outside the sight going in both west & east directions. We would go to this holiday location again.
Alan from Camberley Surrey (25 September 2015)

Very clean well maintained park, very helpful staff, good location to explore the surrounding areas, would stay here again
Alan from Rotherham (19 September 2015)

Had a lovely relaxing holiday. Really enjoyed the location ideal for walking and relaxing. The park was well maintained and presented. The caravan was passed it best but comfortable. We found the food pricey and disappointing, that said we would holiday again and recommend the holiday park.
Lynn from Wakefield (19 September 2015)

The entertainment is rubbish for children there is none unless it school holidays also wifi you pay through the roof and you can't even use it
Hannah (19 September 2015)

We loved our holiday there this year & we booked up for next year before we left, only downside was you have to pay for their wifi.
Janet from Cirencester (18 September 2015)

We as a family have spent many enjoyable holidays at newlands and will continue to do so for the forseeable future
Wendy from Winchester. (11 September 2015)

We had a lovely holiday for a reasonable price in a great area. Our only negative was the price and quality of the food from the bar-restaurant. It was too expensive and the meal was not good. This meant we only eat there once when we were planning to eat on site a few times.
Keith from Bletchley (05 September 2015)

We found the camp very good ,the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you would recommend to anybody to this camp
John from Littlehampton (05 September 2015)

Lovely place to stay . caravans clean staff very helpful, polite and always smiling . the only thing I don't agree with is having to pay for internet use . but overall a lovely break
Emma from Derbyshire (05 September 2015)

This site is very well situated, really close to charmouth beach. the caravan was well laid out, clean and comfortable. the staff were friendly and helpful. the children enjoyed the evening entertainment, especially the magician and they loved the play area. the only thing that was a bit strange, the indoor pool was right next to the seating area for the bar. This put me off swimming. . . would recommended newlands and happily stay there again.
Jennifer from Bromsgrove (05 September 2015)

Had a good time at new lands only thing to moan about was didn't like chip shop food on site and they need more variety and also should be told we need to pay wifi on arrival I think
Beverkey from Abingdon (05 September 2015)

Great park in lovely surroundings, stayed in a static caravan, good facilities and helpful staff, our 5 year old daughter loved dj damian and dino dan!
Michelle from Epping, Essex (04 September 2015)

This is a lovely park. The photos really don't do it justice! the area is beautiful and the facilities are all you need to enjoy your stay. It is a short walk into charmouth which has plenty to see. The staff are nice and the place is clean and well cared for.
Jessica (04 September 2015)

We had a fantastic stay at newlands park. There is so much to do and it is situated in such a beautiful place. I will definitely be returning.
Amanda from West Midlands (31 August 2015)

Hello, we would have enjoyed it more, if the caravan had been cleaned properly, it was grubby and there was pet hair in there. When I was looking for a place to stay, I did put in for a pet free place. We had trouble with the gas and two kettles which was sorted out. We liked the area around.
Tina from Town (29 August 2015)

Nothing really wrong with anything just doesn't really appeal. Again
Confirmed Holidaymaker (28 August 2015)

Good location,to explore the dorset area, low key site, quiet, which is fine, may return again.
Rosaline from Worksop (28 August 2015)

The site was great with good facilities.
Elizabeth from Stockport (28 August 2015)

Caravan full of dog hair and smelled of dog very of putting and left holiday early
James from Tadley (24 August 2015)

Couldn't fault the caravan, it was lovely and clean. The hill is steeper than you imagine, but not really an issue. Kids used swimming pool and said it was good. Local area is lovely with lots to see and do. One main complaint is the food it the bar, it was awful, a burger not cooked, so it was mushy, cold chips, bad food for the kids, but this is the only complaint. We ate in the local pub a couple of times which was very nice with a large garden for the children to play in.
Lee from Surrey (24 August 2015)

Didn't get told about the swimming pool sessions so only had a short swim when we were told the session had finished. Take away for awful, took 45 mins to cook our order.
Emma from Billericay (22 August 2015)

Lovely place set in a pretty area. Park is well situated. Even though it hilly it's very well set out and kept very nicely.
Sarah from Waltham Abbey (22 August 2015)

We had a fantastic holiday. The park was average. . indoor pool was very good and the children's entertainer was good. The caravan was not the cleanest.biggest downside of the holiday
Sammie from Peacehaven (22 August 2015)

Nice soft play and pool. Charmouth is nice but not a lot to do. Neighbouring places like west bay are lovely. . didn't like that you had to pay for wifi and the tiny indoor pool. . . food was poor and room felt damp. . . other accommodation would have been nice there. A nice place, just not for us.
Emma from Melksham (17 August 2015)

Site is on a very steep hill. Site is ok nothing special
Dave from Manchester (17 August 2015)

I am sorry to say I was very disappointed arcade had 7 machines 2 of which did not work indoor swimming had to be paid for had to go with our 14 yr old to supervise him no life guards no outdoor activity's bingo once a week overall very disappointed food quite pricey cheaper out of camp. Very poor on activities for the older child
Robert from Swanley (15 August 2015)

Very poor or no internet . even when you pay for a weeks connection
Peter from Crawley (15 August 2015)

Lovely site, was quiet , peaceful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Only letdown was the caravan, it was dirty. Reported mould in shower and one of kitchen lights not working. The shower was cleaned, light not fixed. we didn't use the pool. There is a charge to use the indoor pool. Wifi charges are steep. we ate there once, the food was ok. Didn't see the entertainment. the site is good base for visiting lyme regis which is a 10 min drive and charmouth beach is walkable from the site. shame the lack of cleaning in the caravan lets this site down.
Su from West Midlands (14 August 2015)

Had a great time at newlands nice place . will definitely return in the future.
Richard from Clitheroe (14 August 2015)

Had been to the park 8 years ago. On our return this year the lodge was nice. However the bar, restaurant and chipshop on site was very expensive. Rude in chip shop and staff did not want to act quickly if an issue with the accommodation. The heart of what it was 8 years ago doesn't seem to be there anymore.
Jason from Eastleigh (10 August 2015)

Good location though a little hilly after a long day's walking. Drinks and food quite expensive in the bar/club but the chip shop was extremely good value for money. Staff were very helpful especially with our wifi connection problems. An enjoyable week and would return.
John from Long Eaton (08 August 2015)

A very clean a well laid out park, the location is great for the dorset coast.
Steven from Bebington (03 August 2015)

The holiday park was very well laid out and tidy. The club house was well maintained with good facilities including a good bar/restaurant area that had a good menu. Our children enjoyed using the swimming pools and play park. The park was a relaxing and peaceful place which was run in an effective but low key manner. We spent a lovely week there. Perhaps a bigger and heated outdoor swimming pool would have made our stay even better than it was. Maybe, something for newlands to consider introducing at some point in the future.
Ross from Chippenham (03 August 2015)

Nice place. we went out around the local areas most days but there was enough for our children to be entertained on site when we were there. staff were friendly and approachable. left keys at reception so our non-functioning microwave could be kindly swapped. returned from day out to collect keys for lodge but mislaid, simple mistake. Master keys didn't work. found our keys an hour and a half after first reporting incident. my wife and children stopped with family on site while the situation was resolved. claire on reception had been very helpful and diligent. Gave us a bottle of wine as an apology.
Nigel from Coventry (01 August 2015)

Enjoyed our recent stay with mum in the disabled massionette the only one on the site. only downside no proper oven only hobb. also a bit of a problem parking when returning from a trip out as only room for 9 cars and sometimes people used the parking area outside the complex as an overspill from the other parts of the park. best shower facilities I have had for a disabled person.
Susan from Rainham Essex (01 August 2015)

Lovely area, small venue hall, but good enough, loverly local bars restaurants, near by towns etc. Great coastal walks. Beach 10 min walk away . lovely really enjoyed holiday here and would return xxxx
Leisha from Burnham (31 July 2015)

Absolutely fantastic. Didn't want to leave.
Hayden from Desborough (25 July 2015)

Brill place for a family holiday
Caroline from Honiton (25 July 2015)

Loverley surroundings nice park.
Christopher from Stourbridge (25 July 2015)

Great place looking to book again next year
Charlie from Southport (25 July 2015)

Enjoyable holiday. Our grandson loved the big play area. We would come again
Hilary from Bristol (24 July 2015)

Great holiday, really nice location, very well run holiday park, will be going again next year.
Phillip from York (24 July 2015)

Holiday was ok not enough for kids to do club house was a bit pricey food not that great
Ivor from Bath (24 July 2015)

The location and lodge were great. The one big dissapoiment was the " take away". having to order food via the bar was in my opinion a cheap shot at trying to get people to buy drinks whilst they waited for the " take away". when the food arrived after 30minutes!!!!, it was appalling. The pasty looked like it had been deep fried and the fish looked and tasted like an old shoe, and it cost nearly £18!. I don't mind paying a bit extra for food prepared on site, but I expect to be able to order my " take away" from the " take away" counter, not via a noisy, busy bar.
Alicia from Stamford (24 July 2015)

We stayed here for a wedding and we managed to get 7 adult people into a dorset sapphire lodge which was a bit of squeeze but we managed it. the alternative of hotels would be many times more expensive and we had access to the indoor pool too. the outside of the lodge could do with a coat of varnish but inside was fine.
Philip from London (20 July 2015)

The site is a little tired and dated. The accommodation was very average, not that clean and again a bit tired and jaded. The shower alternatively scalded you or than ran really cold without you touching the temperature control clearly affected by others using the water supply. The evening entertainment needed an update.
June from Sidcup (20 July 2015)

Beautiful well kept place. Gardens were immaculate and clean. The park is brilliant for children. Wouldnt recommend the chips though!
Kim from Leicestershire (18 July 2015)

We stayed for a week in july. we found the park to be clean and we'll kept. The facilities were ok. My children were disappointed that the night time entertainment was not upto much but we made he best of what was there. The local area is brilliant the beach was a lovely day out which ended up nearly every day . we had a really good stay and would stay there again . xx
Jennifer from Holywell (18 July 2015)

Fabulous place to stay. Helpful staff that dealt with any problems promptly.
Shirley from Burnley (18 July 2015)

It is a clean well kept holiday park, situated in an ideal place for travel along the south coast in either direction with a good bus service at the park entrance if you don't want to use the car. The staff were always pleasant and very helpful. The only downside is that the static caravans are at the top of a steep hill but good views from the caravans.
David from Sheffield (18 July 2015)

Lovely clean park with gorgeous views. Excellent facilities on site.
Alistair from Northamptonshire (17 July 2015)

Bronze caravan for gold prices
Keith from Haverhill (17 July 2015)

Had a great holiday in a log cabin which was well equipped. The only negative point was that we had to pay extra to use the indoor pool. apart from that would definitely visit again. Good food in the club house was much better this year.
Kate from Sheerness (11 July 2015)

Lovely site, helpful staff and super location
Elizabeth from London (11 July 2015)

Although we didn't make much use of all of the facilities, they did appear to be very good. The near constant noise from the main road was at first a little off putting but soon ignored. Unfortunately, work being carried out beside an adjacent caravan was occasionally intrusive. Including opening times within the arrival hand-out would have been useful. Overall an enjoyable few days and have recommended newlands to family.
Dave from Brighton (10 July 2015)

Lovely place to stay don't agree that you have to pay to swim 2pounds every visit .we had acouple of problems with apartment we did report but nothing was done
Michael from Southam (10 July 2015)

Location is amazing, beautiful place
Ksenia from London (06 July 2015)

Had a very pleasant stay in a very comfortable lodge. The outdoor pool was nice and warm. The park was peaceful. Lovely warm croissants and bread available at the shop.
Sharon from Worcester (06 July 2015)

Super break. Lovely caravan but would have liked a bit of grass next to van where we could have sat out a little more comfortably.
Customer 132 (06 July 2015)

The caravan wasn't as clean as we would have liked there was a smell of wee in the toilet. everything else was brilliant, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the location is superb, the facilities are good. The children's play area was fantastic. All in all a great site
Laura from Rugeley (04 July 2015)

We enjoyed our stay at newlands parks although it is not for people who have walking problems as it is very hilly, the site its self is fantastic and is a short walk to charmouth were there are a few shops, pubs and a lovely takeaway.the beach is great for fossil hunting.we stayed in the dorset diamond which was at the top of the site with fantastic views the caravan its self was perfect everything you needed was catered for.
Alan from Southend On Sea (04 July 2015)

First break in ages. Was very pleased with newlands, exactly what I was hoping for. Very quiet as during term time. Very clean. Helpful staff. The one meal we had in the restaurant was disappointing, maybe dorset cook lasagna and curries different to everywhere else. Loads of local eateries though.
Patricia from Salisbury (03 July 2015)

Not too bad, adequate.
Paul from Darlington (29 June 2015)

Nice couple of days spent at newlands with dog. Caravan was nice, with everything I would expect. Didn't use any facilities so can't comment. Take away was ok without being spectacular but nothing to complain about.
Gary (29 June 2015)

Thank you! we had a lovely time and would have stayed longer if we could have. Hopefully we will be back
Matti from Kontiolahti,Finland (29 June 2015)

We are a couple that wanted a quiet break with our dogs and at newlands we did get this. However, the positives first, it is set in beautiful countryside with lovely views. It has very good access to beaches (some dog friendly) and woodland walks so plenty of places to explore as adults but would be excellent for families too. The staff we encountered at newlands were friendly. Now for the negatives, the caravan was a little tired, the cooker was temperamental and so was the shower but as we were only there for a weekend we managed. The dog walking area was very small and in one place not fenced well. The on site shop had short opening times and despite this still closed during opening hours one day for cleaning. The traffic from the main road nearby could be heard at night. We didn't use the pool or club so can't comment on these. Overall not bad for the price.
Jollyone from Wiltshire (29 June 2015)

This is not a site for disabled. I had a lot of trouble, and even the showers were more family oriented than disabled. I couldn't use the one in the caravan, I had hoped to use the shower in the toilet/shower block.
Jill (27 June 2015)

Booked cheap at last minute. Nice clean site. Lovely views. Only bad thing was couldn't connect to mobile internet and charges to connect to wifi were very expensive.
Csm from Kent (26 June 2015)

We have visited newlands on several occasions and have always enjoyed our stay, we are looking forward to our next visit. thank you for a very enjoyable stay. . best regards
Kevin from Droitwich, Worcestershire (26 June 2015)

It was a well equipped apartment. The camp was very well maintained and staff extremely polite and helpful. It's location was good to be able to visit other places of interest.
Jenni from Kingston Upon Thames (26 June 2015)

We have been to newlands a few times and always enjoy ourselves thank you.
Lesley from Poole (26 June 2015)

Great place to stay
Louise from Crediton (22 June 2015)

Second visit to newlands and just as god as the first.
Nigel from Warwick (19 June 2015)

Second visit to newlands and just as god as the first.
Nigel from Warwick (19 June 2015)

Altogether a lovely holiday, slightly marred by the first caravan we were allocated. This wasn't the holiday parks fault I might add, it was the inconsiderate past occupant who decoded rather than abide by the rules of the park he/she would rather sit in the toilet cubicle and smoke than go outside, it stank in the caravan! on the plus side we were quickly moved to another caravan and we continued to start our holiday. we spent a great deal of our time away sightseeing and enjoying what the surrounding area had to offer, lyme regis was a particular favourite as was weymouth, beer and of course charmouth (very quaint village). when we did stay on site at night, we spent a couple of hours in the club area where the staff were friendly and fun, facilities were good and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Paul from Sutton Coldfield (13 June 2015)

I thought the location was excellent for all areas of dorset and devon. The staff were very good and helpful so overall it was excellent value for money and we were lucky with good weather as well, thank you,
Geoffrey from Bedford (13 June 2015)
