Caravan was really old and dirty, didn't have toaster or tin opener
Jerry (27 October 2017)

Log cabin on first sighting was good, however with time we found the cabin was very tired. Crisps or cereals found under the breakfast table; other persons socks and pants found in bedroom drawers, taps being very awkward to use, showers that did not live up to expectations, light bulbs in various rooms were either not working or absent, seating was uncomfortable requiring a pillow to support the back, views from window into other persons log cabins. On the good side the heating was very good.
Jeff from Redditch (20 October 2017)

Good spacious and clean caravan. Friendly staff throughout. Beautiful location and bus stop just outside the park a bonus.
Josie from Devon (16 October 2017)

Good location, nice food
Jennifer (16 October 2017)

This was our first time at newlands and we were impressed and hope to go back again. We booked a three bedroom lodge for the two of us - loads of room and well fitted and kitted out. A great standard is kept up at newlands, both inside and out. Terrific swimming pool and we were both very impressed with the bar area. The countryside around newlands is very picturesque and needs much more exploring. We enjoyed visiting the local small towns and whoever was in charge of the weather.. it's definitely somewhere we'd like to return too!
Chris from Thame, Oxon (06 October 2017)

I have never been on a caravan holiday or break before and had reservations about going but my wife wanted to fulfil a dream of having a caravan holiday as she used to do as a child. When we walked into the caravan it was spotlessly clean and I was so very surprised how comfortable it was. Anything we were not sure about a man was there to sort things out for us. It could not have been better. The staff were very efficient and courteous and the. Clubhouse was very nice with good food. Well done newlands
Terence from Runwell Essex (02 October 2017)

Overall a good holiday in a location that was close to a lot of places of interest.
Anne from Marlborough (30 September 2017)

Had a lovely time. Near the beach but a bit of a walk with a toddler in a buggy. Out of season so park was very quiet.
Philippa (30 September 2017)

Stayed in lodge. Clean and tidy and well stocked but sofas bit shabby and needs replacing.
Lt from Bristol (29 September 2017)

The cutlery and crockery were filthy, only a bolt on the patio door no mortice lock. We reported a dripping tap and all that was done was the taptop was turned tighter making it difficult to open. The bar staff were very helpful and polite your one saving grace. The floor was not swept properly.
Dave from London (23 September 2017)

We have been coming to newlands for many years, firstly with a touring caravan, then a motorhome, then in static vans and now in the pearl apartments. We have always had a great time. Everywhere is always clean and tidy, the restaurant serves good food. There are play areas for families with young children and entertainment in the evenings. Also two good sized swimming pools. Something for everyone.
Colin from St Columb Major (18 September 2017)

Lovely park, apartment was modern and clean with everything we needed. We have already booked again for next year
Helen from Nantwich (16 September 2017)

Nice area and good park
Malcolm from Mansfield Notts (16 September 2017)

Great location, fantastic views, close to other attractions. And a very good restaurant.
Bruce from London (16 September 2017)

Overall ok but found restrictions on where to take your dog ie bar very limiting. had to stay in in evening as could not leave our dog alone. Ice box on fridge almost completely full of ice, no room for food. Stained cups which I had to clean before use.
Christine from Chesham Hp5 (15 September 2017)

We were disappointed, at first, with our lodge as it was right next to the back of the main building and we could hear the air conditioning units, and we were expecting a view of the surrounding hills but did not have that. the lodge itself was very clean, but a bit worn. bed was very comfy, and it was a nice touch to have washing up liquid, a tea towel, and a dishcloth supplied. . the park itself looked well-kept. the location was wonderful - the only downside being the constant drone of traffic from the nearby bypass.
Fiona from Swansea (15 September 2017)

It was amazing holidays
Nasima from Birmingham (04 September 2017)

We had a wonderful stay at newlands, ages ranged from one to sixty, and every generation thoroughly enjoyed their stay!
Patty from Oxfordshire (01 September 2017)

It was a nice holiday but would of been nice to be told the was a steep hill to drive up to our caravan but other then that it was fantastic place and helpful staff
Michael from Barnham (28 August 2017)

It was a great location and holiday. The caravan was generally clean but could have been better. The restaurant was quite expensive for the quality and choice of the food.
Carolyn (28 August 2017)

The caravan very nice, a little dirty in places but nothing a sick clean didn't sort out. . . the kids loved it there, good entertainment in the evening for them and two pools, one indoor and one outdoor however the outdoor one was very cold even in warm weather. . the kids games zone wasn't very good as there were quite a few that didn't work, which was a shame.
Stephen from Surrey (28 August 2017)

We enjoyed our stay, the caravan was lovely. Food at the towbar was good, was impressed with the range of vegetarian options. The entertainment started later than advertised most evenings and wasn't at all appealing to our 7 and 13 year olds (or us) but the younger ones definitely enjoyed it. Staff were always attentive and friendly. Our only gripe was that we didn't sleep well, unfortunately, as the bed sheets felt a bit rough and did not stay tucked in.
Rose from Manchester (26 August 2017)

This is a brilliant site. Emerald lodge is very spacious and having a washing machine was fantastic with kids. Although the site was clearly busy it didn't feel over crowded. The amusement arcade is small and if all the machines are working a good selection ,unfortunately more than half were broken in our first week but the second week some more were fixed. The kids enjoyed it anyway. A minor moan for a two week stay in a lodge that gave us towels is that we were not offered fresh for the second week ,something we have had in other sites. Parking by lodge was fine one week but a nightmare the next so there is only just enough parking one night I had to park in tent field and come back down when others had gone for the day. The pools and play areas are lovely and it feels so safe to let the children roam.the wifi is rubbish paid for both weeks for 5 devices ended up with 1 working in one corner of lodge as else where you could spend half an hour trying to connect and then for the device to think it wasn't connected because it was so slow.
Jayne from Thatcham (25 August 2017)

We had another fantastic holiday at newlands park.
Kathryn (21 August 2017)

Beds were not made up. No life guard. No hospitality box ie washing up cloth liquid etc
Diane from Hounslow Middlesex (21 August 2017)

I enjoyed my holiday at newlands park but thought it was a bit of a cheek to charge £2.00 per person to use the swimming pool or pay £10.00 for 10 swims I have never had to pay extra to use the pool on any other holiday park. But overall my family had a really good week there but we didn't stay on the site we went out everyday as there is not much to do on the site for kids, and evening entertainment wasn't great either.
Janice from Londo (19 August 2017)

Not be place but not for those with walking difficulties. high on hill, especially the static caravans! outdoor pool freezing but indoor fine however you should be told on arrival that you have to book sessions for that pool, rather than ending up disappointing children!
Carrie from Leicester (19 August 2017)

Very nice, small holiday park. More geared for entertaining children under 10. a little walk into charnmouth (not a huge amount to do there) but a short drive to lyme regis which is worth a visit.
Leisa (19 August 2017)

Beautiful location, great staff and facilities. . caravan unfortunately wasn't very clean, but very comfortable. We would definitely come again
Nicola from Swindon (19 August 2017)

Caravan was tatty. Duvets had pee stains and that on them. I was not impressed. Outdoor pool heating wasn't working so it was freezing. Had to pay per person to use indoor pool, chippy only open on friday and saturday evenings. Overall I was not impressed with the sight.
Alison from Guildford (19 August 2017)

Lovely location, shame there was a charge to swim and amusement arcade was small would of been ok but many machines were broken.on site fish and chip shop great service and yummy food .shame they only fry on fridays and saturdays . overall had a good week .
Terence from London (19 August 2017)

Loved it at newlands, it had everything we wanted and needed , we took our grandson and he loved it too .
Susan from Sutton Coldfield (19 August 2017)

Very basic park with old fachioned arcade games that didn't work dark indoor play area down stairs again very basic lovely outdoor pool but indoor one is small and through the restaurant. Everything was in one room kids disco evening entertainment all in corner of restaurant
Sarah (18 August 2017)

Great place, really nice accommodation, brilliant facilities for little kids, & beautiful setting.
Tim from London (18 August 2017)

We found the site and our premises, clean and well managed. The staff were helpful regarding any questions etc we had. We loved the outdoor pool and the food in the bar was great value for money, nicely cooked and well presented. There was plenty of information at the reception about places to visit, and events occurring in the locality. more than happy to recommend newlands to our friends and anybody else for that matter.
Steve from East Grinstead (18 August 2017)

Absolutely lovely apartment. Really impressed and would like to return sometime. Also nice area and surroundings. Clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay :)
Jason from Brentwood (12 August 2017)

It was lovely holiday. the only reason we would't return is because our children have outgrown that kind of holiday
Pamela (12 August 2017)

We had a great time with helpful staff. The site was clean and tidy along with the van
Lucy from Gainsborough (12 August 2017)

Accommodation was acquit and offerings for children was fine. Staff didn't seem bothered and food offerings were poor e.g chip shop hardly open and bar stupidly over priced for meals.
David (11 August 2017)

Hard work getting served in the bar area.scottish chap exceptionally helpful and kind..toliet brush in apartment disgusting.also no towels on arrival.wouldnt let small aspects put us off and will more than likely return next year for our 4th year in a row hoping the little details are addressed. X
Beverly from Salisbury (11 August 2017)

Lovely campsite and caravans were beautiful only negative was had to drive most places as the park is quite a way from attractions
Stephen from Birmingham (07 August 2017)

Not dog friendly enough. Disappointed dog not allowed inside pub. On a good note holiday we had was good. Indoor pool was excellent but outdoor way too cold and had to walk around site to get entry to it. pub drinks and food expensive. Hilly location all be it pleasant surroundings and clean.
Jo from Nottingham (04 August 2017)

We had a wonderful time and would love to return
Elizabeth from Chepstow (04 August 2017)

Nice lodge but overlooking buildings not country side like I thought.
David from Bath (04 August 2017)

Had to pay extra for swimming and was closed most the time cooker in caravan very slow over hour and half to cook oven chips in lovely location tidy and well kept
Sarah (29 July 2017)

Nice holiday, plenty to do for children. Good facilities only fault was that in the caravan we had the fridge had not been cleaned.
Clare from Milton Keynes (29 July 2017)

Park was lovely, but the caravan could have done with sprucing up to make it worth the money spent. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly though, including granting us extra time in the paid for indoor pool without extra payment when my son screamed to not go in for the first hour, then wanted to go in! outdoor pool great as well. Restaurant was too expensive, £11.95 for one portion of fish and chips was extreme, so we gave up on that, and bought chips from the shop (when we found the takeaway was only open friday to sunday - they are missing out on custom there). site was great and views gorgeous. Dog owners need to be reminded to scoop in the dog walking area!
Nina from Swindon (28 July 2017)

Lovely place to stay, small but has everything you need
Emma from Basildon (28 July 2017)

Really enjoyed our stay at new lands holiday park. We only did a monday to friday so was out and about quite a lot so didn't really use the facilities on offer. Great to have an onsite shop for the odd thing . swimming pools looked great but didn't have time to use, ( maybe next time). caravan was nice and clean and spaceious and good value for money. Only thing was the parking . the lane very narrow to drive down when you have cars parked either side. . club house very nice with helpful friendly staff and nice cooked food too. . I would recommend this caravan park to others.
Jo from Newbury (28 July 2017)

I did like this site. Stayed in a log cabin, beds were made up which was very handy after a 3 hour drive. The log cabins were near all the facilities which was useful. . only used the indoor pool, which was heated. Unfortunately towards the end of our weeks holiday it was out of use due to unforeseen circumstances. . we basically used the site ad a base and didn't use the facilities much. . clean and tidy and friendly staff. . the only criticism I have is the fish and chip shop. Frozen fish and chips being cooked. . my other half and my son were extreme disappointed and said the food was rubbish.
Louise from Twyford Berks (24 July 2017)

Great holiday
Donna from Congleton (22 July 2017)

Fantastic site with beautiful views. Caravan clean and comfortable and site facilities great.
Paula from Spilsby (22 July 2017)

Caravan disgustingly filthy
Susan from Bristol (22 July 2017)

Wonderful location, clean caravan. Charmouth is beautiful. A good base for a beach holiday. Some of the park facilities were a rip off. the indoor swimming pool needing to be paid for (£10 for 10 swims) is a bit silly but soft play area was good as we have 3 under 5s. Would stay again.
Mrs Q from Oxfordshire (21 July 2017)

All you need for a great self catering break with family. . great lodge and facilities including well priced spar shop.
Nicola from Fareham (21 July 2017)

Pleasant lodge in good location
Deborah (17 July 2017)

The lodge was very basic, we would want the next one up next time.
Emma from Crawley (15 July 2017)

Wasn't expecting to stay in a apartment block and the main bed area has no way of blocking out the daylight from the overhead window. We were asked our ages on the application form which I wondered what the relevance of that was..assuming we would be put in an area with less children ( noise etc) but no. A child sang every morning on the way to her breakfast at the bar area around 7:45-8am which although very sweet we could have done without. Great location for a wee stroll to the beach or a hearty climb to the top of stone barrow hill. Good area to drive to other places of interest but quiet away from big cities. Would definitely book again. Didn't use the facilities on site but good base for a week
Alison from Guisborough (15 July 2017)

Nice site. Lovely view & aspect.table or wall lights in the caravan would have been nice
Philip from Halesowen (15 July 2017)

There were repairs that needed doing in the lodge cleanliness was poor and the whole place looked like it could do with a good spring clean
Janine (14 July 2017)

Newlands park is very well run. We had a great holiday there and the lodge was really clean although a little tired. A little short of one or two kitchen items but overall I would recommend the sapphire lodge. Its spacious and not too far up a very steep path.
Melvine from Ormskirk, Lancashire (08 July 2017)

The park was really nice but the caravan was dirty and needed to be cleaned before we unpacked
Rebecca from Hampshire (07 July 2017)

Stayed here many times, great location for visiting a lot of the dorset and devon coast.
Stuart from Gillingham, Dorset. (03 July 2017)

Excellent, second visit to this delightful holiday park. It's very well run with helpful and friendly staff. Good lounge bar with restaurant serving traditional cask ales and good food. Prices are average. Convenient for lyme regis and weymouth as bus stops directly outside the park. Charmouth great for walking and relaxing. Will stay at newlands again later this year.
Howard from Norwich (01 July 2017)

Clean and tidy site lovely new look bar and restaurant
Angela from Hull (01 July 2017)

Only had a couple of minor issues regarding things needing to be fixed on lodge.
Jonathan (01 July 2017)

My wife and I have taken a holiday at charmouth many times over the years, often staying at newlands park and chose the park specially this time. The accommodation is excellent and suits us well, the park is large but uncluttered and peaceful and of course close to large towns such as lyme regis and bridport. We were pleased to see the improvements in facilities and upgrading of the accommodation, both making our stay even more enjoyable.
Zdenek from Woking (30 June 2017)

Bar and resturant, not very active for time of year. I gave 9 for value for money, only because of my discount. Would have been more disappoint, if full cost.
David from Norwich, Norfolk (30 June 2017)

Excellent location.lodge good but fittings a little dated.staff very helpful and on site spar excellent.just a 10 minute stroll into charmouth and 15 minutes to the beach.open top bus stops at newlands for a trip along the coast via lyme regis to beer.
Peter from Manchester (26 June 2017)

Disappointed on site chip shop was closed, site appeared to be full, but not all facilities avail. Used communal showers, disappointed there were not clean, no hairdryers. This was a 5.star site.but not anywhere near as good.
Joanne from Winchester (05 June 2017)

Quiet park, chip shop a bit slow, small arcade for kids, very cold outdoor swimming pool but has a slide, indoor heated pool, has a hot jacuzzi but £1 per hour per person. Indoor soft play centre has to be accompanied by 15 years and upwards. Outdoor play area ok. Caravan ok.
Veneta from Trowbridge (02 June 2017)

Over priced for what it was. Cleanliness in lodge was poor - shaved hair found on wall in shower, mouldy/damp smell in kitchen, overall not cleaned to a good standard. Playground had seen better days - what was the random track for and broken see-saw. Difficult to park close to lodge as everyone else had parked their car there (there were only 2 lodges on our row so cars must have come from somewhere else)
Emma (29 May 2017)

We were happy with our stay and would go again.
Sheila from Sussex (22 May 2017)

Very nice views and good location
Eric (13 May 2017)

Great time. Loved every minute of it. Charmouth is a beautiful place.
Alyson from Andover (05 May 2017)

Very small and extremely cold van. Said central hearing but was just blowers in the bedrooms. Was clean but found clothing under one bed from past guest. No toaster which was odd in this day and age!! overall lovely but just not for us sorry.
Maria from Newtown Powys (21 April 2017)

Good place to stay
Shenay (17 April 2017)

A bit disappointed to have to pay extra for the pool. The apartment was lovely.
Amanda (14 April 2017)

Great place to be based. Good bus service stopping outside the park, so after a good walk could catch the bus back.
John from Edge (17 March 2017)

Lovely clean apartment, only one negative, the walls are very thin and any conversations and noise such as the taps running can be heard quite clearly. it wouldn't put us off booking again but would prefer a caravan or detached lodge in the future. on the whole we had an enjoyable holiday.
Diana from Droitwich (24 September 2016)

We had a lovely caravan with fantastic views across the valley. The site was kept to a very high standard and would consider using this site again at some time in the future.
Maureen (23 September 2016)

The reason we would not stay here again is chiefly because we prefer the site at seadown just nearby, where we have stayed many timesin the past.
Mary from Hemel Hempstead (23 September 2016)

Beautiful location in charmouth, dorset. caravan clean and comfitable everything that was necessary for a good holiday. will definitely be staying again.
June from Birchington, Kent (17 September 2016)

Fabulous place.very clean and well looked after, and managed grounds.no-one "in your face",just left alone to get on with your holiday.very classy bar and dining area. Didn't expect the best caravan as we had dogs with us but very pleasantly surprised at the one that we got. My only gripe is that some of the items on the menu seemed to be expensive, but, you don't have to eat there if you don't want to. All in all, a fabulous place.
Stephen (12 September 2016)

Great location just 5 minutes from the high street with pubs and shops and the beach. Lovely caravan, very clean and so was the site. Would stay again.
Karen from Dartford (09 September 2016)

Very clean and well equipped apartments - a bit gloomy as they don't get any sunshine.
Peter from Newhaven East Sussex (09 September 2016)

Lovely accommodation with amazing views. Close to the beach and a short drive to lyme regis. We didn't use the amenities at the resort or eat there so can't comment but the fish and chips in the village were amazing.
Hayley from St Albans (05 September 2016)

Won't go there again & certainly won't use the fish & chip shop
Paula (03 September 2016)

Fabulous place
Sarah from Llantwit Major (03 September 2016)

A little disappointed at caravan first booked for six people! upgraded to a lodge which was very comfortable and more space for the family to move about. Caravan to small for six people!!!!
David from Farnham (02 September 2016)

No facilities for customers with dogs which we pay for and caravans all at the top of a very steep hill which is not ideal for customers over 70 walking areas for your dogs minimal
Alan from Milton Keynes (27 August 2016)

The park was ideally situated for the beach. Very nice surroundings. Facilities at the park were adequate for our needs. Bit disappointed with the children's entertainer.
Antony from Twickenham (22 August 2016)

Myself, wife ,2 grandchildren and dog had a wonderful time at newlands.the park had a beautiful view of the surrounding area.short walk to beach, grandchildren aged 9 and 5 really enjoyed outdoor pool and play area.chip shop and food store very good and staff really friendly also reception staff very helpful.cannot comment on resturant as we did not use this due to having our dog,so went into village were we found an excellent pub called the george ,food ,service, excellent and reasonable .dog was allowed in the pub, but we chose to sit in the garden room to eat, were we could also see the grandchildren playing on the play area ,which they both loved.only one downside was the children,s disco in the evening , no dino dan only music being put on and no one entertaining ,so after half an hour they were bored and wanted to go back to the caravan.
David from Swindon (22 August 2016)

Unfortunately the site was hit by a stomach bug while we were there and our family was affected badly. The facilities were closed for 48 hours including swimming pools! we paid a lot of money for a lodge and only enjoyed three days. It was a shame!
Corinne from Crewe (15 August 2016)

Overall we had a lovely time and the apartment we stayed in was adequate but there was an issue with a sickness bug on the site and the closure of the swimming pool made facilities we had paid for unusable.
Caroline from Northampton (15 August 2016)

Take away food very poor and expensive
Jayne (12 August 2016)

We had a really lovely holiday here. We booked a short week and stayed in apartment 21. the apartment was clean and tidy (although we couldn't get the shower to work). the park was beautifully kept with a heated outdoor pool and an indoor pool. the staff were friendly and helpful. we used the apartment as a base to visit lyme regis, bovington (tank museum) and weymouth. we were able to walk to charmouth beach from the site. we were lucky with the weather so had a great holiday
Tom from Llandrindod Wells (12 August 2016)

Me and my family had a great time at newlands! very clean, great views and lovely location. I was a bit surprised to have to pay for the indoor pool. And the pottery, staff could have been a bit more welcoming.
Dionne from And The Pottery, Staff Could Have Been A Bit More (12 August 2016)

Lovely caravan. Great beach in charmouth. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
Darren from Crawley (08 August 2016)

This is a lovely peaceful and clean park. the accommodation was clean and tidy and the onsite shop is well stocked and the shop staff are so friendly and helpful. steven from reception really helped us in our hour of need. the pools are a little small and the outdoor pool is very cold but otherwise our children had a lot of fun in them, the play park is great for the children with beautiful views. the park is in a fantastic location, the beach is in walking distance and is great for fossil hunting but the real gem is that it is a very short drive to the beautiful lyme regis and west bay. we had such a fantastic time that we booked to stay next year before we left to come home!
Annie from Middlesex (06 August 2016)

Great little holiday park!!. we stayed here for a week with friends and had a great time. It's in a lovely location and a great spot to visit the area.
Clare from Stockport (06 August 2016)

Had as always a great holiday.! thanks to all the staff for there helpful friendly attitude, would highly recommend.!! thanks
David from Gloucestershire (06 August 2016)

Lovely park and staff the only thing we didn't like was the chip shop . too expensive and not fresh fish or home cooked style chops made fresh not frozen chips
Nicola from Chesterfield (06 August 2016)

Unfortunately I don't have many nice things to say about newlands. We loved the views from our caravan and the caravan itself was lovely, although not very clean at all. My mother and one of my daughters fell down the steps, on different occasions, resulting in my mother having a gash in her ear and my daughter with a nasty cut on her knee. The facilities on site are very poor. The indoor swimming pool was closed for the first 3 days, maintenance problems apparently, and I cant believe they charge to use it as it is just a basic pool and you had to queue to use it? the outdoor pool was open, but freezing, weather wasn't great, tiles loose in the pool and unsupervised children in it too. Entertainment wasn't great, but isn't helped by the venue, in the bar/restaurant where people were still eating, not enough tables and seats, had to stand both nights that we went in there. Also as the indoor swimming pool is through the bar you had wet people walking through, day and night. Soft play area is ok, but no one in there to supervise, lots of kids running around being monstrous,, I was the only parent in there one day with about 12 kids.. didn't allow my kids back down there. The games room had most of its games out of order for most of the week and there are so few machines children were bored waiting for turns, worst I have ever seen, and we have been to lots of places. The only positive was the staff who were very polite and as helpful as they could be.
Kerry from Coulsdon (05 August 2016)

We were here 5 years ago a lovely little site. Now it is far too big and you do not have the facilities, the swimming pools are far too small, and not supervised, the soft play has all ages running around like lunatics again no supervision, just waiting for an accident to happen. I didn't see any sign of organised activities for your play club and the evening entertainment was non existant. the bar area is again far too small, the choice for lunch was appalling. You have spoilt what was a lovely site. again mans greed has taken over. You have the space to do so much but haven't bothered. a very unhappy holiday, I bought my 2 grandchildren of 8 and 10 and they hated it. your shop prices were above extortion .
Susan from High Wycombe (05 August 2016)

Nice park , the caravan was very clean but we had to ask for extra cutlery and glasses as there was only enough for 4 in a 6berth van . there was a charge for the indoor pool £2an hour ( expensive when there are 3 children in the party and they have to have an adult with them .) you can walk to the beach but it is a fair way you really need a car to get around , even the nearest supermarket is several miles away . there is a fast food outlet restaurant and small shop on site all quite reasonably priced considering you are a bit of a captive audience .
Valerie from Peterborough (05 August 2016)

Fabulous lodge, lovely surroundings but don't bother paying for wifi, waste of money. Can't get signal! also the fish and chip shop is atrocious. All frozen, nothing fresh and stinks of grease. Queued for 40 mins just for chips and they weren't busy!
Monique from Charmouth (05 August 2016)

Overall very good, however did not like having to pay to use the pool.
Patricia from Southampton (05 August 2016)

We stayed in a cabin. the cabin was very dirty, still had previous owners rubbish behind wardrobes and were very tatty. indoor pool was not available throughout our stay even though we stayed in august.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (01 August 2016)

We stayed in a dorset pearl apartment on 23 july 2016 for one week and the room was lovely, very spacious and good facilities. We had a seperate twin bedroom and there was a double bed in the lounge - along with two sofas. room was very clean and had everything we needed. Good location and close to playground. overall newlands park is a lovely place and close to charmouth high street where you will find the george pub - fantastic for kids with massive garden with play stuff and two goats down the end which our kids loved feeding! will definitely go back one day!
Lisa from Warwick (30 July 2016)

The pool arrangement was ridiculous, no access between pools and you need to walk through the bar for the indoor pool. Very expensive to stay for the four nights and not good value for money. Entertainment was uninspiring. Location was the only good point.
Teresa from Essex (29 July 2016)

Not impressed with the indoor pool changing room! also there should be privacy glass on the doors between the bar/pool.
Victoria from Chester (29 July 2016)

Lodges too close together, could not open bedroom windows as people in lodge next door were smokers and they were up early smoking outside and throughout the day. This site is best for families and as a couple we found it we would not go again
Dorothy from Sale Cheshire (29 July 2016)

A lovely park perfectly located for exploring
Joseph from Leicester (25 July 2016)

Not really dog friendly anymore
Tracey (23 July 2016)

We stayed in a caravan, which overlooked the valley. The view was beautiful and we watched the birds flying across the hills and the sun setting. The caravan was lovely, clean, well furnished and modern. The site was quiet and peaceful, but busy and was located close to charmouth and within a short drive to many little towns. We enjoyed our break here.
Jayne from Coventry (23 July 2016)

Before we booked the holiday we was told there was lot of entertainment for children and there was none. Also the outdoor pool slide was not in use due to it be not busy. The pool was full most days. You had to pay to use the indoor pool was told both was free. . the lodge it self was very clean and nice. . the 10 minute walk to the beach was in face 30 minutes.
Michelle from Hemel Hempstead (22 July 2016)

Would stay at newlands again but not in the apartments . the apartments were very basic, not ideal for two couples staying, more suited for a family,we also found them noisey late at night .the park was well maintained, the food in the restaurant was good.
Ian from Blackburn (18 July 2016)

The children adored the who l holiday despite the changeable weather. W e had to shoehorn them out every day as they wanted to stay and play at newlands.
Christine from Blackpool (16 July 2016)

Not wheel chair friendly, no regular adult entertainment. Boring. Food excessively priced.
Brenda from Birmingham (16 July 2016)

Lovely park and location
Deborah from Norwich (15 July 2016)

Great holiday park, clean and tidy caravan and grounds
Angela from Basingstoke (15 July 2016)

Lovely indoor pool. Park set in pleasant surroundings. We're not aware of steep paths prio to booking.
Margaret from Bromsgrove (15 July 2016)

The disabled adapted apartment was ideal for me as I have mobility problems, also the indoor pool had good access into it for me. The restaurant was very obliging too as my husband is very fussy about having his gammon well grilled and they obliged him.
Jennifer from Wolverhampton (04 July 2016)

Newlands park was pleasant enough. Indoor pool and bar area were very nice. Charging extra for use of the indoor pool was somewhat excessive given the hundreds of pounds we had paid for the holiday however.
Stephen (27 June 2016)

Perfectly located for touring the dorset coast.
Alan from Luton (25 June 2016)

Had a very pleasant week, with the accommodation and facilities of a good standard. The reception staff and on site shop staff were very friendly and helpful with our questions. The camp is a short distance from charmouth beach and we spent most of our time looking for the numerous fossils there. Parking at the beach is easy and cheap. One small tip -- try and take your own hammer if you are fossil hunting as the beach fossil shop charges £3.00 per day to hire one.
Norman from Worcestershire (13 June 2016)

Excellent park. Nice staff. Apartment very clean. Worry small indoor pool might get busy at peak times? overall very good.
Lis from Kingston (13 June 2016)

Beautiful surroundings, very friendly and helpful staff. I will visit again.
Louise from Bromley (12 June 2016)

We have been coming to this site for many years, first with a touring caravan, then a motor home and now we stay in the pearl apartments. the apartments are good value for money, set in a quiet spot in a corner of the site. the apartments are much like a hotel apartment, the rooms are clean, with a separate small bedroom. The lounge area has two sofas and a flat screen tv. There is a nice shower room, a kitchen area and a double bed by the window. . the restaurant provides good meals and the bar area has been re-vamped. There is plenty to do if you have young children. The only complaint is that the wifi is quite expensive, but we would certainly recommend this campsite.
Colin from Cornwall (11 June 2016)

From our caravan at the top of site we had the most beautiful view.the van was extremely clean.the staff very friendly and courteous.lyme regis is just up the road and very enjoyable mackerel fishing and sightseeing from the harbour.not a lot to do in charmouth but a good market.
Richard (11 June 2016)

The location was lovely .we were right near everywhere we wanted to visit and the site was set in the countryside so the surrounding area had lovely views.the staff at the site were very helpful even ringing us when we were on the journey there to tell us about about a road closure which was taking place and they rang us again when we got home to say they had found a pen belonging us and did we want it back. Great service from them. The facilities on the site were good even though it was out of main holiday season.the takeaway on the site was closed but you could order at the bar and take food away .we did this one night and the fish and chips were lovely.my only small complaint is that the shop on the site is very small and did not sell much variety and they were expensive but this tends to be the case on most holiday sites.however there is a supermarket in the village and you can stock up elsewhere before you go. Everything on the site was spotlessly clean and it was very pleasant. Would go again
Maria from Hull (10 June 2016)

Good place to stay but food in bar was a little over priced for the quality
Ben (04 June 2016)

Apartment pearl was a little smelly, but clean. It was as expected and booked because all suitable caravans had been booked. Road layout near reception congested on arrival meaning traffic queue went back on to road. Noticed road signs on site were minimal. Did not use shop. Purchased from elsewhere where choice more varied. Club area visited once (sat evening) but not used. People slouching on chairs taking up 2/3 spaces and tables were dirty. Not a good impression. Site chosen because of the area and nice walks found daily with the help of local bus service on two of those days.
Chris from Bicester (04 June 2016)

We have a great week at charmouth the weather was beautiful. Newlands park had good entertainment the caravan was very clean. Would recommend this site.
Jenni (04 June 2016)

Lovely location. . takeaway closed in half term . good shop. . expensive food. . pay to use indoor pool. . parking very tight. . clean. . good playground. . quiet.
Patrick from Lutterworth (03 June 2016)

Stayed with family during half term in one of the lodges. great location with short journeys by car to dorchester and lyme regis. surrounding views lovely. had a very relaxing week.
David from Southampton (03 June 2016)

Fantastic location and very comfortable lodge. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was a bit disappointing. Apart that, a memorable stay in wonderful surroundings. Would love to go back there..
Sylvie from Loughton (30 May 2016)

The room was dark and damp , curtains were ripped and the bed cover also dust on the bathroom heater.
Alan (20 May 2016)

The only downside to our holiday was our caravan was on top of a hill and my father who is 82 had problems climbing up and down the hill.
Sharon from Chislehurst Kent (02 May 2016)

Gas fire was broken so left keys to fix, returned to collect key but they lost them! repairs still had the keys in his van. Basic, shabby but clean
Zeaba (28 March 2016)

The reason for the lower rating on the facilities is because due to low season not all facilities were open eg the onsite fish and chip chop, laundry facilies, therefore perhaps this should have been reflected more in the cost of the caravan. . also in low season perhaps a refund should be given for the day that the van is not needed . for example we had to leave on good friday (this I did make clear when making the booking) therefore left on the morning but we were unable to actually only book the holiday upto friday we had to book in upto saturday and pay for that day . . appart from the above feedback which you have asked for we had a great time, the staff were very friendly and helpful and I would recommend the park to friends and family.
Jane from Manchester (26 March 2016)

We had a really pleasant time, the accommodation was much better than what we were expecting, the value for money is 10/10 - if we had gone a week or two later, admittedly it would have been a bit more than what we paid but I still think it would have been worth it. Great places to visit nearby. The pool was lovely and the jacuzzi is a nice addition.
Ben from Hampshire (18 March 2016)

We had a lovely time, the site was central to all the towns we like to visit. It was clean and the staff were helpful. Restaurant food was to a good standard but slightly over priced if you eat in rather than opt for takeaway. Entertainment was excellent and activities were well run.
Claire from Frome (30 October 2015)

I have a 13 year old boy and found that to get to places that he would be interested in was quite a drive so the location for us was not good, however, if you want walking and the beach in summer then this is an excellent location. The village small but some great places to eat there.
Gillian from Coulsdon (30 October 2015)

Had a fantastic time, the caravan, site, amenities and helpful staff made our stay wonderful. we will definitely be coming back next summer..
Sandra from Hinckley, Leicestershire (19 October 2015)

Lots of facilities including indoor heated swimming pool. The location is really good with many nearby attractions. The beach is only 10 mins driving.
Mohammed from Leicester (19 October 2015)

Newland was a lovely place, but it was more like a tropical forest, it was nice facilities great but I never stay at the same place twice I like to try somewere different
Philomena (05 October 2015)

A very well-kept park with good amenities, 10-15 minutes walk to famous fossil beach/coastline and to pretty village with good shops/pubs and in a beautiful part of the country, although very hilly. Only five minutes by car to lyme regis. also well served by public transport if not wanting to drive everywhere. Would definitely stay here again.
Shirley from Maidstone (03 October 2015)

Lovely views, central for my needs, would like to come again but would like to try a chalet next time
June from Melton Mowbray Leicestershire (02 October 2015)
