Lovely park & lodge and stunning surroundings but just too isolated for us. We are no good with no phone signal or internet connection. Had to drive almost two miles to get ee signal. Understand lots of people like to get away from it all but being totally out of contact with our business wasn't good. Absolutely loved the fresh bread and cake etc on arrival.
Katharine from Looe (30 September 2016)

A lovely quiet and pleasant holiday. Log cabins great all fully equipped and clean.. lovely welcome pack. Farmer john and his wife very helpful and friendly. Hot tub wonderful..
Vicky from Kent (23 September 2016)

A very quiet and peaceful holiday, just what we were looking for.
Robert from Swindon (19 September 2016)

If you want to get away from all social media this is the place for you, great quiet location, with lovely courtyside. working farm with only 10 lodges on a slope, all accomodation is staggered so no-one overlooked, great for fishing and walking. your hot tub is checked everyday without you being disturbed. . can wait ti go back again.......
Alan from Hertfordshire (16 September 2016)

Lovely peaceful setting with very helpful staff. lodge was excellent and a lovely touch to be left bread, jam, marmalade and also a cake
Customer 5 from Maidstone (16 September 2016)

We had an amazing visit, the lodge itself was very clean and had everything we could ever need! perfect little getaway!
Stephanie (12 September 2016)

Really great lodge, the only reason I haven't given scores of 10 is just due to a few little niggles which are just my preferences:. . hot tub could be hotter. Sauna should be alot hotter. I would have loved more info in the welcome pack about the farms produce, prices, packs etc, the meat we got from them at the office was stunning and definitely a missed opportunity to not capitalise on this potential amazing extra touch. Wifi would have been lovely but I accept that kind of goes against escaping to the country, it just made exploring what was in the area a bit tricky!. *absolute preference not a complaint*- with such a large bedroom a bigger bed would be great for a starfisher like me!. . all in all a wonderful break, the lodge was well appointed and the basic supplies ample, the bread and cake a great touch!
Paul (09 September 2016)

We had a wonderful break, the lodge had everything required plus more! perfect location, we would have no hesitation to recommend to others. special personal touches made the stay even better! very helpful staff.
Tracey (09 September 2016)

Accommodation can not be faulted, the lodge was clean and had a high end feel. We were made to feel welcome on arrival, the homemade cake and bread a real bonus. . would recommend the lodges to any dog owners as this quality is very hard to find. My dog hattie loves a bit of luxury as do we!
Mark (02 September 2016)

Great place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was much bigger than we anticipated and everything we needed was catered for. Hot tub was lovely and surroundings really peaceful. Would definately stay again.
Colette from Uxbridge (02 September 2016)

Great place to relax and unwind was just what we needed. Will be going again.
Paul from Little Downham. (29 August 2016)

We had a fabulous time at the lodges, the welcome pack was very welcome, especially lovely fresh bread and home-made cake. The lodge was very comfortable and furnished to a good standard, although there was a lack of crockery and glasses in the cupboards. As we could take our dog with us, we would return, but avoid peak season as it was very expensive for what it was.
Valerie from Liphook (29 August 2016)

Wow what a wonderful place to stay. Every little extra touch, from the fresh bread, cake, tea and coffee on arrival to the soft egyptian cotton towels and 2 fab huge showers, was excellent. immaculately clean inside and the hot tub was a great way to start and finish the day. . you definately have to drive from here to explore the best of the new forest but the location is a good base. . wonderful and family run, we would go back without hesitation.
Mike from Wonderful And Family Run, We Would Go Back Without (15 August 2016)

Beautiful beautiful location, very friendly staff ,lodges fantastic hot tub icing on the cake . I want to go back ... only one gripe n that is the decking on veranda not clean nor was the barbecue. Beautiful walks with the dog. saw the deer n kingfishers wow !!

James from Bewdley (29 July 2016)

Our lodge was very clean, had most of appliances we have at home.if it had a larger freezer that would have been 100% .the lodge has plenty of parking outside ,peaceful settings, hot tub serviced daily added a lot to our enjoyment.we had a great week in a truly lovely area the owners were friendly and efficient.there were 4 adults and two small dogs in our party.
Cyril from Bexhill On Sea (22 July 2016)

So impressed with the lodge beautiful
Rachel from Leicester (22 July 2016)

Farmer john was lovely .but we found the walks not very nice fallen tress ect not cleared walk ways . the jets on both the hot tub and bath are not great .it was very hot when we stayed and there are no fans nor would the windows in living room open .the cooker smelt of old cooked food .towles left washing we had to put them out to dry .we cleaned are pups mess up and had to clean others that was left outside on the grass. All in all for the price we paid I would not stay again .
Peter from Andover (18 July 2016)

Lovely lodge in a lovely location. Can't wait to go back for another holiday.
Ed from Stoke - On Trent (18 July 2016)

Dale from Ipswich (15 July 2016)

We were just blown away from the tranquility and such utter peace
Peter from Bournemouth (11 July 2016)

What a great place .we could have not asked for any thing better.
Barbara from Rochester Kent (04 July 2016)

A most enjoyable and relaxing time was spent with very attentive and helpful staff.
Richard from Halesowen (01 July 2016)

The quality of the lounge and dining table chairs and settees were very uncomfortable and my wife and I were unable to sit comfortably and watch t.v. And just were not comfortable for sitting up to dinner etc . I think it was one of the very oldest lodges. there was hardly room to walk round the bed in the second bedroom : you had to sideways-shuffle your way round ! a lot of money for an uncomfortable stay and a very, very, big let-down for your lodges- and we have used other lodges which have been excellent. We will advise our friends who may plan to stay there, accordingly. j.r.
John from London (01 July 2016)

Fantastic location for exploring the new forest. lodge was clean and comfortable and set in peaceful surroundings. we saw lots of great spotted woodpeckers, yellow hammer and deer by the lakes. welcoming cake, on arrival, was a treat and staff very friendly. would definetly return.
Linda (27 June 2016)

Was the perfect place to get away from it all. The fact there is no wifi or phone signal is a total bonus as it meant we all completely switched off. The hot tubs are amazing. We will be back very soon!
Wayne from Milton Keynes (27 June 2016)

Overall our stay in the lodge was first class. The quality of the fixtures--fittings--furniture and lay out was faultless. To sit in the hot tub at 11 pm with the peace and quiet watching the stars whilst drinking bubbles we found idyllic. The 3 nights we spent there were almost perfect. There were only 3 minor things we feel would have made the our experience perfect---1), the rear sauna wall had become detached from the side wall hence there was a gap of about 2 inches all the way down. I am not sure how much difference this made to the heat but the temperature did not get to any where near what it should have done. 2) we felt that there should have been more fencing between the lodges to stop people from the other lodges walking into our area, it would only require 2 fences fitted and that would give total privacy, our neighbours and their dog walked around once and we found this intrusive. 3) I would imagine that many of the people staying in the lodges would spend some time naked in the hot tub and sauna, we did find it off putting and again intrusive that twice a day someone came and checked the hot tub. Whist we understood that this check has to be made I think it would be better if there were specific times for this visit because it could have been very embarrassing. These points did not detract from our pleasure and we will certainly be going back again this year and we have recommended the lodges to friends.
Adrian from Eastbourne (20 June 2016)

Very impressed with the lodge exactly what we wanted. We did girls holiday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We thought having no internet and phone access would be terrible but in actual fact it was bliss. Access could be got if you moved around the site.
Natalie from Worthing (17 June 2016)

Enjoyed it that much we booked again for october as soon as we got home
Wendy (10 June 2016)

We enjoyed our lodge holiday, we would book again and recommend.
Steve from Reading (10 June 2016)

Fantastic cabin in a great central location. Lovely to relax in the hot tub after a good day out.
Mark (03 June 2016)

Had a brilliant time, the lodge was even nicer than the pictures look online, loved it. Spent a lot of time star gazing from the hot tub whilst our dog pottered around in the long grass! lovely setting, the owner was a lovely helpful chap and there were nice finishing touches such as homemade cake, bread and milk. We will be coming back, magical place!
Jennifer from Le65 (30 May 2016)

Surroundings of lodge amazing though had to drive to get to any shops attractions. Lodge very nice but cleanliness left a lot to be desired, lots of cobwebs and thick dust everywhere, though things like towels were spotless.
Lois (30 May 2016)

Had a fantastic stay so relaxing and peaceful. The hot tub and fresh bread and homemade cake were an added bonus.we will definitely be going back again at some point .
Theresa from Plymouth (27 May 2016)

We had a lovely break at the new forest lodges. It was nice and relaxing. The lodge had everything we needed. Supplied us with sachets of coffee, tea bags, milk in the fridge. Also a nice homemade cake and bread for when we arrived. the shops wasn't too far away to get some groceries in and drink. Loved ending the day by sitting in the hot tub and going back in to the log fire burning away. I want to go back already. We miss that life of peace and quiet. Time to save pennies to go back again. 10/10
Caroline from Weymouth (20 May 2016)

A really good short break. Nice large lodge for two with good quality fixtures and fittings. Well equipped kitchen and appliances. Loved the peace and quiet and the hot tub.
Frances from Gloucester (20 May 2016)

A very nice place to stay, clean and tidy - great to unwind in a relaxed location!
Tony from Stowmarket, Suffolk (16 May 2016)

Will be going back !
Jason (13 May 2016)

We had a wonderful time. The cleanliness of the lodges and the hot tubs were a real plus. The only downside is that we had no internet or mobile signal. No doubt a good thing for some but we had people who needed to check into work so it was a real inconvenience.
Linda (06 May 2016)

Lovely clean and well equipped cabin, very friendly staff. Lovely places to visit and places to eat

Mandi (02 May 2016)

We visited new forest lodges in april 2016 & we are a family of 5. The friendly owner gave us a great welcome, with some fresh bread & home made cake. The lodge was spacious & clean - absolutely perfect. The icing on the cake was the hot tub. We all spent a great deal of time in there; so relaxing! the location was lovely & quiet. We heard a woodpecker for the first time! the accommodation was also a great base for days out - we went to longleat & weymouth, as well as locally e.g. Burley & the heavy horse centre. Would recommend & return.
Nicola from Maldon, Essex (08 April 2016)

Lovely location lovely log cabin fantastic hot tub and the people that run it could not be more inviting helpful and present I highly recommend it
Matthew from Leatherhead (28 March 2016)

Bethan from Pembrokeshire (25 March 2016)

We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again soon!
Carly (21 March 2016)

This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. The cabin was fantastic, so well laid out with everything you need for your stay. The cake, bread and milk are a really nice touch. The cabin is located really well for getting out and about to beautiful places. Personally we kept wanting to come back to the cabin and it's beautiful setting. Hot tub was really nice. . john and his staff were as friendly as before, which is not difficult as they are genuinely really nice people. Will definitely be visiting again.
Nicola from Hillingdon Middx (18 March 2016)

Great place to stay, secluded and very well kept cabins. . the wife, baby and dog all enjoyed.
Kyle from Portsmouth (17 March 2016)

Brilliant, even the small construction going on next to our cabin didn't disturb us.
Danny from Greenford (11 March 2016)

We had a lovely week away in the new forest lodges. Farmer john was very welcoming and friendly!! the lodge had everything we needed from dishwasher tablets to tea towels and fairy liquid. The lodge was lovely and clean and we loved having the fire on in the evening. Would definitely recommend these lodges if you want a peaceful week away with quiet surroundings.
Claire from Kent (11 March 2016)

Had a lovely weekend away in a very rustoc log cabin with lovely easy to use log burner and a wonderful jacuzzi, personally I think the bathrooms could do with being upgraded but that's just my personal opinion, . I would defently return.
Philip (07 March 2016)

We had an amazing, relaxing time. I have recommended this holiday to many of our friends
Nicky from Burgess Hill (26 February 2016)

Nicky from Burgess Hill (26 February 2016)

The lodges are well appointed and have everything you need. The hot tubs are bliss, we all loved relaxing in it even in the cold febuary weather. I proposed on our last evening here whilst sipping champange in the hot tub. it's a great place to relax or to use as a base. lots of wild life, we were lucky enough to have deer out side our kitchen window. Lots of birds, including wood peckers and kingfishers. There are also several course fishing ponds on site.
Richard from Fareham (22 February 2016)

It would have been even more perfect if:. the hot tub had been up to temperature earlier than 9pm on the day of arrival. The rain had stopped!. . generally a lovely lodge which we hope to return to.
Linda (08 February 2016)

The lodge was beautiful, but there was a few things we think could make it better , the hot tub was very open , we would have liked it to be more secluded, the sauna all the wooden slats were broken , so we were told to take a pillow in with us , and there was dust under bed , and the tv in bedroom was very dusty . these few things aside we had a lovely stay .
Brian from Oxford (08 February 2016)

We booked for a quiet girls weekend away and we were not disappointed! fantastic lodge, lovely and clean, wonderful by tub and peaceful surroundings. John was very friendly and helpful. Would love to return with my family!

We have stayed in various luxury lodges in hampshire and this was most definitely our favourite. . we stayed in the dorchester and we weren't disappointed. . it was spacious & clean. There was even a real christmas tree decorated. Unlike other parks, there was a full sized square hot tub for 6 people not a round tub which fitted just 4 people from a 6 person lodge. The open fire was so romantic. We can't recommend it enough. We shall definitely return.

We fell in love with this place, and will definitely be going back as soon as possible!!. the hot tub was incredible and we spent many hours in there over the few days we were there. Lovely stay and would come again. No phone signal at all which was slightly difficult for us but may suit others. Wifi would be a great addition as my kids would go mad if i'd taken them. Lodge and jacuzzi was lovely.
Aaron from Waterlooville (04 December 2015)

Second stay in the same lodge . we love the solitude of the area and while it was nice at times not to have a phone signal or wifi it could be frustrating when trying to research things to do. As usual cabin was clean, well equipped, and a very much welcomed homemade cake and bread. Tried to light fire but think logs were to damp but not really a problem because of mild weather. Big attraction was hot tub . a lovely relaxing break, definitely recommended.

Our second time here...everything laid on in the lodge. lovely cake and bread and a great quiet countryside location
David from Cobham (02 November 2015)

Amazing lodge, well looked after. John and co were very friendly and happy to help, and always went the extra mile. . . only downside is lack of phone signal which can't be helped. . . will be staying again! :)
Rob from St Columb (30 October 2015)

Lovely lodge, with added extra's on arrival like a home made cake and bread, would recommend to anyone!

We stayed in nuthatch lodge (the first you come across on the way down the hill) and it was gorgeous, farmer john greeted us and took us down to show us what we needed to know and answer any questions and then left us to enjoy it. The homemade cake was gorgeous as was the fresh bread and everything was spotless. We rented rods and tackle and fished every day and enjoyed the hot tub and sauna each evening, we got rump steaks and sausages from the farm office which were gorgeous and great value for the quality! (if only the pubs were a little closer to stumble back from) couldn't imagine a more perfect setting to get engaged in :)

A peaceful location, rural and beautiful sights to wake up to. Cabin was great, 5 girls travelled on a weekend away to relax and use the hot tub. . kitchen really well equipped, owner helpful and friendly, two bathrooms good for 5 people in a 6 bed cabin. All you need for a self contained sc break. . only two pieces of feed back..hot tub wasn't warm enough to use on day of arrival so would have preferred for it to be ready for us. Some will see this as a good thing and some won't, no internet or phone reception in the cabin. We would have liked some reception but I know some people will see that as a blessing. We loved our break and would re visit next year!
Amy from Kent (28 September 2015)

Lovely private lodge with hot tub which we loved and the log fire but only there 3 days so did'nt get round to using the sauna everything was provided though and farmer john was very friendly. Would have liked wi-fi connection but in no way did this distract from a very nice weekend
Barbara from Coventry (28 September 2015)

We could not fault the week we had. The lodges were the best we have stayed at. The location just of the main highway but far enough away that you could not hear anything but the birds. The staff especially farmer john were cheery and helpful. We hope to return very soon.

Great little get away
Jennifer from Southampton (18 September 2015)

On arrival my first reaction would of been dread, had I not of read the reviews, so I knew entrance was not good. After speaking to farmer john we know this is in hand and will be changing. when we reached the lodge wow. This is a fantastic place with great views and very quiet. The lodge was out of this world and had everything we needed. The bathroom was exceptional with the double jacuzzi bath and the huge rain forest shower. We found the kitchen had every you would need even down to champagne glasses & ice bucket. My husband loved the log fire and this was lit every night. The hot tub was in a secluded place and we enjoyed it every evening looking at the stars. Farmer john was excellent and would highly recommend buying a steak from him as it was the best we have ever had. If I could find a fault, which believe me is hard would be the mattress on the bed was quite uncomfortable I could feel the springs. Will we come back, yes we will as neither of us wanted to leave, even the dog felt at home.
