Site needs updating, value for money, noisey at night.
George from Gloucester (23 September 2016)

Very enjoyable stay. Lovely part of the country. We would definitely stay here again.
Tony from Mexborough (23 September 2016)

Enjoyed our time there.
Geoffrey from Oxfordshire (12 September 2016)

Had an upgrade so that was much appreciated, the swimming pool situation was ridiculous that you only got half hour and had to book, also the playground wasn't enough for the kids it was very basic. The clubhouse wasnt bad but they had bingo around 8.30 instead of early eve and that disrupted the evening and they kept shushing everyone which was difficult with the kids there. The amusement arcade was far too small and some machines didn't work
Melanie from Canterbury (29 August 2016)

Enjoyable
Colin from West Ealing London (22 August 2016)

Holiday park was just what we needed and caravan was great . however the cleanliness of the bar / restaurant needs to improve along with the toilets . but overall a good stay
Gemma from Higham Kent (12 August 2016)

Children enjoyed site. Pool was small. Good value for price.
Beverley from Hartlepool (05 August 2016)

It was the first time for us to spend our holidays at marlies holiday park, but we enjoyed it very much. Also because it was such a relaxed and quiet atmosphere!
Kathrin (01 August 2016)

The pool was very small with restricted opening times and you have to book 30 min sessions. The caravan oven and heater didn't work the windows didn't close properly and the beds were really uncompfortable. the bar was dirty sticky tables and cobwebs in the windows. The locals were in the bar on the friday night swearing in front of families and the bar staff gave preference to local people and holiday accomodation owners. There was no disabled parking anywhere on site. Overall I was not happy with the holiday park.
Karina from Croydon (01 August 2016)

Park was nice staff were nice but 80% of the people live on site so not much of an holiday atmosphere, I did notice that not many people cleaned up after there pets either
Emma from Pontypool (30 July 2016)

Holiday park was a little run down but we had a great cheap break. All the holiday staff were great and friendly.
Sarah from St. Albans (18 July 2016)

Park looks very run down, requires money spending on the entrance
Derek from Essex (15 July 2016)

We really love this park
Sonya from Lincoln (27 June 2016)

When something was broken it was not repaired. The accommodation needed to be more equipped. Lacked kixthen utensils and bedroom was really cramped. Also inadequate bedding supplied. It was the wrong size. Park itself was ok yet no tennis courts etc for older people to enjoy. Children's play area needed. Chalets need good clean on inside and outside. Mass of spider webs on outside of ours. Nice area if prepared to travel.
Customer 14 (18 June 2016)

Very nice time
Roy (20 May 2016)

I have stayed at marlie farm many times, but this had to be the worse caravan. My niece had the same van a few weeks before. The sunday night the electric went of the monday she had not hot water. He son is 5 he had no where to play because it was on the road, I had two small dogs. The caravan behind had all the space they even put a bench completely at the back of the van we had. So they could have been sitting outside and we had nowhere. In the caravan a panel was missing this was to do with shower, we wedged newspaper there. Then on the monday at 9.50 a man knocked and asked if we were ready to leave, when I said we would be out by 10, I said there wasn't much to do, he said there was no rush, I don't think he should have even knocked before 10. Very disappointed.
Susan from London (25 April 2016)

Was perfect only thing I felt was the prices in the bar and certain items in the shop were rather expensive
David from Brighton (18 March 2016)

Had a really nice stay staff were very helpful an polite. Would stay again
Dylan from London (14 March 2016)

The area was local and had the steam railway near by lots of things to do if you want to venture out
Teresa from Carshalton (02 November 2015)

First time ive been to marlie farm cant wait to book again nice site
Cheryl (31 October 2015)

Would have been perfect if there was wifi in the lodge
Jyo (30 October 2015)

We just needed somewhere to lay our heads whilst exploring region. For 3 adults for 4 nights it was great value and we 3 adults had a room each. Very comfortable.
Helen from Letchworth Garden City (09 October 2015)

We spent a lovely sunny weekend at the marlie holiday park. The lodge we stayed in was very clean and well equipped. The bar area was neat and tidy and our toddler enjoyed the outdoor play area and the 'ride-on' machines. Sadly the pool was closed when we went which was a disappointment, and being out of season the entertainment schedule was a bit quiet, but I would certainly recommend the place as all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Toni (05 October 2015)

Pool to small and the entertainment poor.no paths up to caravans so feet and shoes wet all the time.
Philip from London (05 October 2015)

A lovely quiet site staff so helpful enjoyed every minute of our stay
Tom from Horley. Uk (05 October 2015)

Great place, friendly helpful staff, well pleased.
John from Wolverhampton (03 October 2015)

My caravan, was awful, in a right state, the gap around the front door meant that even with the gas fire going continuously the bedrooms were like icecubes. I had no hot water from monday till friday there were not enough parking spaces, even out of season, I dread to think of how it is in season. The 'all day' food wasnt 'available' on the day I tried. I witnessed 10 and 12 year old children playing fruit machines and was told by the staff that it was 'ok' I think not. . I slept the whole time in the 'lounge' due to the cold. . I would not reccomend this park to anyone. . I am a full time carer for my paralysed parnter, I work 140 hours a week, this was my first break in two years, a week, and it was a nightmare.
Caroline from Burnham On Crouch (28 September 2015)

Vcatch on door broken and shut on hand twice also gas heater not working so had to keep cooker on to warm up, did report to reception but wasnt fixed
Stuart from Aylesbury (25 September 2015)

Great park, good location, clean caravans, very quiet and peaceful.
Colin from Bicester (21 September 2015)

The whole seven days were spoilt by the location of the caravan, next to a noisy generator/pump for the swimming pool that was going 24 hours for 7 days. This unit was about 10 feet from the caravan which rendered the two bedrooms useless. We would use your holiday park again but not in that caravan no fg1.
Peter from Tonbridge Kent (12 September 2015)

Disgusting in terms of whole site and accommodation and outside, foul. I have never paid £600 plus and been so let down. No mattress covers, plastic covers on mattresses and cotton sheets which slid all over? bed mattress was too large for the base of the double bed the weather was cold, the fire worked 1st time, never again. Grill pan too small for the cooker. Seating under the main window was poorly repaired each time one of us sat on same it felt and sounded as if it would let us fall through.the heater in shower did not work the swimming pool too small, children ready but had to wait as pool was up to quota. Maintenance repaired[?] shower which was going cold to very hot and dangerous as we had two grand children with us outside the caravan were fish bones possibly the remains on a meal. This was reported to the reception but not followed up, by the time we left the grass had grown so not so visible. car parking was a lottery. we had not been advised of the lack of convenient space, and had to walk quite a distance to either park or collect the car. my wife is not classed as disabled but does have a problem with walking more than a couple of hundred yards. spinal stenosis has been diagnosed, awaiting hospital. We never thought that the car at times would have to be left so far away and before you ask, my wife is the driver. we feel that the cost of this week in marlie for hoseason was an absolute ripoff. Most certainly we will not use or recommend hoseasons to any one else.
Ivor from Sutton Coldfield (29 August 2015)

Park was very run down much in need of a refurbishment. From the pictures advertised this was very misleading.
Amy from Birmingham (24 August 2015)

It was our first time staying at marlie holiday park. Our caravan was excellent and at a good price. The adult entertainment was great and the children loved the entertainment. We had a meal in the restaurant which was very nice. The park was good. The on site shop is good and not silly prices. Now the not so good; the swimming pool is too small for the size of site with not very good facilities for changing etc. The arcade is far too small and half the machines not workin. Plus the winning of tickets on most of the machines was not and attraction for adults. The parking was a problem as was not always able to park near our caravan, bad for rainy days.
Tanya from Deal, Kent (24 August 2015)

The caravan was nice and clean and the staff were excellent but we were located next to pool with seating area and in the evening lots of teenagers hung around kicking footballs at our chalet so I had to inform the guard who told them to stop kicking the ball but didn't tell them to move away - I left a day early because of this - the clubhouse is very noise and the food wasn't great
Lisa from Borehamwood (24 August 2015)

Appalling acomadation booked a lodge and got a small caravan with wood stuck to the side, meant to have 5 people in our "van" luckily one dropped out as our "van" could not seat 5!!. facilities were worse pool was so small and did not even come up to my waist!. entertainment was painful to watch the entire club emptied with the first song!!. would not recommend marlie!!
Matt from Dorset (24 August 2015)

The site is scruffy and there is not enough parking. The pool opening hours are not great and there is a lot of times reserved for adults only or owners only. The pool is also too small for the number of people wanting to use it. . the children's play park is full of people smoking, drinking and swearing at their off- spring. . the clubhouse is poor and the entertainment sounds like karaoke. . dog pooh all over the place. . we had problems twice with sewage coming up outside our caravan. To be fair to the staff, particularly sarah, who dealt with our complaint the most of the staff were friendly and helpful and the problem was sorted quickly, but it did leave us not feeling very happy about letting our three year old play outside our caravan. . on the plus side our caravan was fairly new and quite pleasant in side.
Jim (15 August 2015)

The caravan needed a revamp, when we arrived 1x broken bed 1x corner sofa broken, oven wouldn't light on it's own and cot and high chair I ordered wasn't in it. . . to be fair I reported it all and it was fixed that night. . the pool was very small and only open at difficult times - 10 and 3ish. The family bingo was after the adult bingo so was late. Shop was good and the staff were polite. . . arcade was good but couldn't trade in the kids tickets for a prize because the machine was broken. . but it was well located to explore that area of kent if that's all you need it for.
Alison from Worthing (07 August 2015)

A nice friendly place.
Samantha from Essex (03 August 2015)

Lovely lodge. All double glazed and extremely quiet. Even with camp site behind lodge! pool was good but park too big and so only allocated 30mins a time in the pool. Could do with another pool, maybe outside even? but overall had a lovely weekend and would return.
Lynda from Wokingham (03 August 2015)

Loved staying there. Very relaxed. Clean safe and friendly place to visit!
Elfise from Woking (03 August 2015)

I was appalled at the state of the caravan. Reported faults that were not rectified despite being reported on several occassions. . it is very run down staff unhelpful and dont care. Serious health and saftey concerns reported and not dealt with including electrical faults. Smoke alarm faults and boiler issues. It wad that bad we were concerned about carbon monoxide poisoning !!. . appalling and very very disappojnting for the cost
Layton from Chesterfield (01 August 2015)

This was our second family holiday here at marlie but there will not be a third.our caravan stunk of fried food our hob was dirty & covered in grease. After airing the caravan cleaning the hob our holiday finally started. My teenaged sons rushed to the arcades spending lots of time & money wining hundreds of tokens. Eyeing the prizes on display, they chose the prizes they wanted found a member of staff only to be told most the items on display were out of stock, but if they came back next week they may have taken a new delivery really !!. I wonder how many children just except this & leave there holidays feeling cheated & clutching hundreds of useless tokens??. I went up to the club to ask a member of staff what was going on regarding the prizes only to be told i'd have to take this up with the manger but there shift wasn't starting until six o'clock. So long story short went to see the manager at six o'clock regarding the prizes surprise, surprise some prizes were found but not all the items my kids really wanted. Firstly it's false advertisement to display prizes which you do not have in stock. Secondly a notice should be displayed regarding what is available. . the caravan park has a general lack of communication between staff & management. As a paying customer in peak season I shouldn't have to go out of my way to seek members of staff only to be told to return at six o'clock. . I have honestly never written anything negative before but truly felt our holiday had been affected by everything mentioned above.
Phil from Herne Bay (31 July 2015)

Well maintained clean quite and friendly we had a great holiday here would definitely stay here again
Michele from Paisley (27 July 2015)

We just back from holiday we did really enjoyed every thing was perfect the only thing that I didnt like was the location which was a bit far from beach.
Shahla from Birmingham (20 July 2015)

Stephen from Maidstone Kent (10 July 2015)

Enjoyed a relaxed stay
Nicholas from Colchester (03 July 2015)

We really had a good time. Very peaceful and not to far from the coast
Gordon from Stanwell (29 June 2015)

Lovely clean site, great staff, very peaceful and quiet, will stay again.
Dean from Pontefract (29 June 2015)

When making a charge of £40. To take your dog away with you, the camp should make it clear that they are not actually dog friendly. that way guests would know what they were buying into. The only place you can take your dog on site is inside the caravan. When asked where I could sit to have a drink with the dog, it being far too hot to leave an animal indoors, I was ushered to the smoking area. the thought of sitting amongst smoking is most disgusting. A danger to my health.

Great location for getting to loads of different places we went to france for the day and only half an hour from dover we would normally have had a 3 to 4 hour drive when coming off the boat.

We had few days away with my father who's 91. as long as the accommodation was clean and the beds were ok then we'd be happy. what a surprise, marlie holiday park was much much better than we expected. the silver plus lodge was very clean, the beds were much more comfortable than most parks, the bathroom was a good size with a shower, wash basin and toilet. the layout was just about perfect with lots of room, all rooms were heated which was important as it was a chilly may we parked alongside the lodge so getting our luggage in and out was easy. the site was lovely and quiet apart from a couple of blackbirds singing their hearts out and the first cuckoo i've heard in years (beautiful). we had a few very nice, good value meals at the park. it made a nice change to find the well stocked, not overpriced on site shop. . best of all were the staff, from the reception ladies, bar ladies, the young lady who cooked and served our meals to the shop lady, all very polite, helpful and happy, everyone made us feel welcome and important. Conclusion :- a really nice site with fantastic staff.

There is lots to do around new romney, so if you're up for an active holiday, this is the right place. Unfortunately you can't walk to the beach as it's just too far. The staff were very friendly. Our silver caravan was very well maintained.

The lodge we was in wasn't like we thought it would be.twice we had to have the toilet seat replaced. The heating had to be looked at as it wasn't working. No hot water half way in the holiday. The caravan next to us ,the 2 families in it was noisy , I had to ask them at 1am to keep quite as we couldn't sleep. We had to keep our windows shut because of the shouting from inside their caravan. Dirty nappies were thrown outside onto the grass and was there 4 days with other mess.

. the sorrouding of our caravan was not much to write home about. The wetness did not help. Every time come in from outing, we had to clean the caravan floor mainly because of the grass (around the caravan) brought in by our shoes.

Caravan was ok, but if ours was silver I really wouldn't want to stay in a bronze caravan. We had curtains hanging off the rails, not curtains at all at one window. No travel cot so we had to go and ask for it.

Facilities were okay but did not appeal to us. Overall it was a very enjoyable holiday. Used the internet but found it very patchy and intermittent.
Paul from Reading (12 September 2014)

We had a great weekend at marlie, the caravan was well equipped and clean, when the tv didn't work the staff were really helpful and although we were next to the swimming pool it wasn't a big problem. The only slight issue was the playground wasn't very well equipped or interesting.
Eleanor from London (08 September 2014)

Had a great holiday. park and staff great. have stayed a few times and would do again.
Donna from Hythe (06 September 2014)

Caravan was not ready on time but staff very nice and was happy with cleanliness when caravan was ready, good value for money
Sean from Oxford (18 August 2014)

We didn't spend a great deal of time on the park as we have friends who live near by. Other families were very friendly and my children made lots of friends. The swimming pool water was a bit merky but other than that a great place to stay, would recommend.
Natalie from Manchester (15 August 2014)

Would have been better if there was a shower instead of a bath, but as we were so close to the shower block it wasn't really a major issue.
Rachel from Enfield (09 August 2014)

Nice quiet park, safe for kids to play, small safe pool (no deep end) really close to rhd railway and beach.
Judy from Witham (25 July 2014)

The caravan was lovely, but the park was basic ok for a base to . do some sight seeing
Julie (25 July 2014)

Great staff couldn't do enough. Park was smaller than thought. Enjoyed the stay and would go again.
Michael from Wallasey (25 July 2014)

Nothing open during day . we came from west of scotland for the week during school holidays with 2 grand children age 9 & 7 who were bored some days pool not open either
Patricia from Beith (21 July 2014)

Second time of visiting marlie park and it was like a building site with diggers driving at excessive speed, builders vehicles all over the place, very noisy and didn't make for a positive holiday experience !
Diane from France (19 July 2014)

Excellent relaxing holiday, good location within walking distance of two public houses and a short car trip to dymchurch where there was plenty to do if you had children.
Emma from Huntingdon (14 July 2014)

Very impressed with the standard of cleanliness. Caravan was quite old but as we got it at discounted price was adequate. Disappointed that pool closed on thursdays as this was main reason for 4 night stay as grandsons learning to swim. also food in bar was not always good value for money. staff very friendly and helpful.
Barbara from Kent (11 July 2014)

Caravan dirty and shabby for a silver, disappointed as we were told on arrival van was not ready as it was being cleaned. Television broke down on second day. Waited ages for food to arrive after ordering . . children's club was enjoyed by the grandchildren and was well organised. Staff at reception were helpful polite and friendly.
June from Surrey (30 June 2014)

We had fun recommend others
Jaspreet from Hayes (30 June 2014)

I've given a poor rating for facilities as, upon arrival, we were given a map of the place which showed a large area marked 'playground'. in fact there was no playground, there was just a large grassy area where several diggers were digging up the ground. We located the small playground near the entertainment suite, all of which was out of bounds as it had been dismantled for repairs!! wish someone had told us before we booked that there'd be nowhere for my children to play.
Emily from Staplehurst (27 June 2014)

This is a nice small park, well maintained and clean static caravans
Julian from Northamptonshire (23 June 2014)

Good value, its basic but kept extremely clean and tidy. What you need is all there.
Cheryl from Tring (20 June 2014)

A bit far away from anything, entertanment not up to much, have been to better parks.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (14 June 2014)

The entertainment was limited, the lodge we stayed in was . of a poor quality - we needed assistance from maintenance . on three occasions, the freezer was unusable, there were not enough cutlery, plates etc, shower didn't fit on the wall, cooker splash back fell off. The swimming pool wasn't open every day. The entertainment team were very obnoxious and unhelpful , security team were very helpful
Doug from Hinckley Leicestershire (28 October 2013)

Ideal location for the area nothing too far away, great park to use as a base for days out.
Steven from Lowestoft (05 October 2013)

The caravan was adequate but smelt disgusting
Chris (02 September 2013)

Loved the area. The caravan was lovely and clean with all accessories needed for a great stay
Nikki (30 August 2013)

Claire from Erith (26 August 2013)

Suzanne from Reigate, Surrey. (26 August 2013)

Good location if you wish to explore south kent and west sussex.
Jamie from Kettering (26 August 2013)

It was great having a plenty of space for the children to run around (we have four of them!), especially the presence of a playground right next to our caravan. We didn't use the clubhouse much, as we entertained ourselves most of the time, but on the occasions we went along it was fun and engaging. Location is great - easy to get to places like dymchurch, hythe, camber and rye.
Phin from Alton, Hampshire (23 August 2013)

Lovely accommodation was impressed in the one we stayed in.
Carl from Norwich (12 August 2013)

Very clean. Good facilities. Caravans excellent
Chris from Camberley (09 August 2013)

Nice beach nearby, but go to the sandy part. Sainsbury;s is close by for shopping. Visit to rye, especially the cobbled lane up the hill is well worth while also battle is a nice place to go.
Steven from Newcastle (09 August 2013)

Adult swim session. Location. Parking near caravan. No noise disturbance
Carolyn from London (05 August 2013)

Nice surrounding
Frans from Stein, The Netherlands (22 July 2013)

We paid a last minute bargain price for four nights. .excellent value for money! maybe not so much if the full price was paid. The site was quiet and the entertainment were playing to 3 people! a bit cringey! we popped to the site down the road..new beach. which was a 'fun and lively' park, it was bigger, busier and more entertainment staff playing to a larger audience! . overall a good, cheap, clean, old school break away.. our three year old still talks about loopy the rabbit on a daily basis!!!
Stephanie from Arundel (12 July 2013)

Good base for exploring kent
Deirdre from Leamington Spa (28 June 2013)

Cheap. Good site. Kept kids busy. Clean.
Andrew from Durham (28 June 2013)

Great site, 5 mins by car to the sea. Good facilities, well kept site. Sainsburys 2 mins away, only 5 or so mins to lovely dymchurch, and not far from camber sands. Will be going back!
